Massive Outreach Effort Unfolds at Trump’s Inauguration
|
|
As the nation marked the beginning of a new era in the United States, a Florida-based Christian ministry took the opportunity to spread the gospel to tens of thousands in Washington, D.C. Faith & Liberty, in partnership with Seedline International and HOPE to the Hill, distributed 50,000 Bible booklets to attendees of President Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration. The commemorative booklets, featuring Scripture from the books of John and Romans, were handed out by 50 volunteers throughout Inauguration Day. “In times of national division like America has recently seen, a new presidential administration can offer hope,” said Peggy Nienaber, Senior Vice President of Faith & Liberty. “The commemorative Scripture booklets were published for this significant occasion for that same reason, to offer hope to people in the Savior Jesus Christ.”
Despite the frigid conditions the outreach continued undeterred. President Trump, citing safety concerns for attendees and law enforcement, moved the inauguration ceremony indoors to the United States Capitol Rotunda, a decision reminiscent of Ronald Reagan’s 1985 ceremony during similarly harsh weather conditions. Trump also announced that Capitol One Arena hosted spectators to watch the inauguration live, offering a space for supporters to gather safely. Later in the day, he visited the arena and signed executive orders as one of his first official acts as president. Faith & Liberty expressed gratitude to its ministry partners for making this large-scale evangelistic effort possible. “This was an important outreach to point those in the capital on Inauguration Day to Christ,” Nienaber said. Trump Administration Directs All Federal DEI Employees Be Put on Leave
|

The memo directs agencies to place DEI employees on paid leave by 5 p.m. on January 22.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued a memo on Tuesday instructing all federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) employees to be put on paid leave as agencies work to dismantle DEI initiatives. The OPM is an independent agency of the federal government that manages the federal civil service.
The memo directs agencies to place DEI employees on paid leave by 5 p.m. on Jan. 22 and to remove all websites and social media accounts associated with DEI initiatives by the same time.
President Donald Trump issued an executive order shortly after his inauguration aimed at eliminating DEI-focused policies and programs within the federal government. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Vivek Ramaswamy Confirms He’s Leaving DOGE, Teases ‘Future Plans’ In Ohio
|
|
Vivek Ramaswamy confirmed Monday that he will leave President Donald Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), adding that he will “have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio.”
The announcement follows Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tapping Lt. Gov. Jon Husted — instead of Ramaswamy — to fill the Senate seat vacated by Vice President JD Vance. Ramaswamy, who was slated to co-chair DOGE alongside Elon Musk, is widely speculated to be mulling a 2026 gubernatorial campaign in Ohio.
“It was my honor to help support the creation of DOGE,” Ramaswamy wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “I’m confident that Elon & team will succeed in streamlining the government. I’ll have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio. Most importantly, we’re all-in to help President Trump make America great again!”
Trump created DOGE to serve as an advisory body that would streamline federal agencies controlled by the executive branch, originally naming Musk and Ramaswamy to co-lead the initiative. Ramaswamy attended the inaugural celebrations Monday and posted a photo of himself next to Musk on Twitter.
“Vivek Ramaswamy played a critical role in helping us create DOGE,” Anna Kelly, a spokesperson for Trump transition, told the Associated Press Monday. “He intends to run for elected office soon, which requires him to remain outside of DOGE, based on the structure that we announced today. Did President Trump really swear the oath of office without putting his hand on a Bible?

In the wake of President Trump’s inauguration, many have been drawing attention to the brief moments in which, repeating after Chief Justice John Roberts, he swore the oath of office without setting his hand on a Bible.
In this video, it is clear that Chief Justice Roberts began the oath of office before Melania Trump arrived at her husband’s side with a Bible. By the time she arrived, President Trump was already repeating after the Chief Justice.
This does not explain why President Trump did not place his hand on the Bible after his wife arrived, but there are all sorts of reasons why this could have been the case. Perhaps the President was so focused on his oath that his didn’t notice his wife’s approach. Alternatively, perhaps he felt it would have been inappropriate to look away from the Chief Justice and interrupt his oath in order to place his hand upon the Bible. Whatever his reason was, it seems imprudent to assume malice or even spiritual significance where a more mundane explanation would suffice.

- Mighty God, we all saw that neither Chief Justice Roberts nor Justice Kavanaugh asked the President or Vice President to place their hands on the Holy Bible, which seemed unusual. Sadly, President Trump's family did not have the opportunity to surround him prior to commencing the oath of office. That very moment was one that he had looked forward to for years, so most likely President Trump was fully engaged in completing his oath, without being aware of the circumstances surrounding him. You Father, know the heart of Your son, whom You have appointed for this time and season and we pray for a reconciliation over this matter with the public, in Jesus' name.

5 Inaugural Prayers Show Ongoing Christian Influence
|
|
|
Religious observances held a prominent place at President Donald Trump’s second inauguration ceremony. Fully 15 minutes of the two-hour ceremony (one-eighth of the total) was devoted to prayers by five different clerics. Significantly, the religious leaders who prayed — and those who did not — demonstrate the extent to which Christianity has an ongoing influence in America’s civic life.
Before the swearing-in, Catholic Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan and evangelical Franklin Graham offered prayers of invocation. Dolan quoted Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations.” He prayed to “the God in whom we trust, who lives and reigns forever and ever.” His prayer drew on deep understanding of biblical theology, referencing mankind’s preeminence in the created order (Genesis 1:26-28), government’s role as God’s servant (Romans 13:1-4), and our need to pray for wisdom (James 1:5-6).
For his part, Graham quoted Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” He also referenced 1 Samuel 12:7 and quoted at length Daniel 2:20-23, which proclaims God’s sovereign power over the affairs of nations. Graham opened his prayer by calling upon “our Father and our God,” and he closed it in the name of “the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Following Trump’s inaugural address were three more prayers of benediction. Jewish Rabbi Ari Berman prayed to “Almighty God,” alluded to Psalm 1:3, and quoted Jeremiah 17:7, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord.” Evangelical pastor Lorenzo Sewell (a black pastor from Detroit) opened his prayer to our “Heavenly Father, Great God” and drew significantly upon Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech (the federal government observed MLK Day on Monday). Catholic priest Frank Mann concluded with a prayer to “almighty and eternal God” that pleaded for a government that would seek justice and peace.
Significantly, Christianity’s influence was also seen through who did not pray at the inauguration. According to an early printed program distributed to the press, Muslim Imam Husham Al-Husainy was scheduled to deliver a sixth clerical prayer. A Muslim cleric in Dearborn, Mich., Al-Husainy threw his support behind Trump in the 2024 election, declaring that he “will stand with whoever opposes gay marriage.” However, he drew criticism for his past support for Hezbollah and refusal to call Hezbollah a terrorist group. Ultimately, he did not pray at the inauguration.
Without wading too far into the incident, at the very least it demonstrates the ongoing cultural dominance of Christianity. A Muslim prayer at the inauguration was controversial. Even a Sikh prayer, like that offered at the Republican National Convention, was not present. Yet there were four Christian prayers — two each from Catholics and Protestants — and one Jewish prayer (which is closely associated with Christianity). This represents America’s longstanding religious mixture; if other religions want to have a say, it seems like they must first establish themselves as a cultural fixture. 1. IDF Launches Large-Scale Operation Iron Wall in Jenin, So Far 2 Terrorists Dead, 25 Wounded - Jewish Press
The IDF launched a large-scale operation in Jenin on Tuesday, dubbed Operation Iron Wall, deploying numerous forces, including special units, the Border Police, and the Shin Bet.
The operation began with airstrikes carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles, followed by the entry of extensive forces into the city in northern Samaria. According to the IDF, the objectives are to maintain freedom of action throughout Judea and Samaria, target terrorist infrastructures, and neutralize “ticking bombs.”
The IDF stated the operation is expected to continue for several days and persist “as long as necessary.”
Shortly after the announcement, the PA Health Ministry reported two fatalities and 25 injuries resulting from IDF actions. The injured were transported to Ibn Sina, Al-Amal, and Al-Shifa hospitals. (Read more)

2. Terrorist Eliminated in Tel Aviv, Multiple Wounded - Jewish Press
At least four people were stabbed on Tuesday night in Tel Aviv. There was one attack in Nachalat Binyamin neighborhood in Tel Aviv.
The terrorist was shot and killed. There are reports that the terrorist was shot by an off-duty policewoman.
Police are chasing after a possible second terrorist.
Initial reports indicate the terrorist was a permanent resident of the US of Moroccan origin. He arrived in Israel within the past few days on a tourist visa. (Read more)

3. IDF chief Halevi announces he will resign on March 6, cites ‘my responsibility for the failure of the IDF on October 7’ - Times of Israel
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi has notified Defense Minister Israel Katz that he intends to resign on March 6.
In a statement, Halevi says he is leaving the military after “recognizing my responsibility for the failure of the IDF on October 7, and at the point in time in which the IDF has recorded significant achievements, and is in the process of implementing an agreement to release hostages.”
Until March 6, Halevi says, he will complete the investigations into the October 7 Hamas onslaught and prepare the IDF for future challenges. (Read more)

4. Following IDF chief’s lead, Southern Command head says he too plans to resign over responsibility for failures ahead of Oct. 7 -Times of Israel
The head of the IDF Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman, has notified Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi that he intends to resign from the military. Finkleman cites his responsibility for the IDF’s failures in the lead-up to the October 7, 2023, onslaught as the reason for his resignation.
The announcement comes after Halevi announced he would resign in March.
Finkelman’s resignation letter reads as follows (translated from the Hebrew):
"Commander,
Following my conscience and the values that guide me, I have decided to conclude my tenure as Commander of the Southern Command and my service in the IDF.

5. US guaranteed Israel’s right to resume fighting in Gaza, says Israeli minister - World Israel News
The U.S. has provided Israel with a written guarantee that Jerusalem can resume its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip if negotiations for the second and third phases of the ceasefire agreement fail, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich told JNS on Tuesday.
U.S. President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden have provided Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with an official missive confirming that “the State of Israel will be able to return to the war on day 43” if talks fail during the 42-day first phase of the agreement, Smotrich said, speaking at a meeting of his Religious Zionism Party in the Knesset in Jerusalem.
This guarantee was also given to Netanyahu during phone calls with Trump and American government officials, the finance minister said, adding, “These two things together create an American guarantee allowing us to return to war.” (Read more)

On more than one occasion, President Trump has credited his teenage son, Barron, who’s a Freshman at NYU, for his success with capturing the youth vote, particularly the young male vote, after encouraging him to appear on podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience, the popular comedian Theo Von’s podcast and others.
Tonight, while standing in front of over 40,000 supporters in the Capitol Arena, President Trump gave his youngest son credit for helping him to tap into a key demographic that helped to push him over the finish line. Barron, who in the past, has presented himself as a more shy kid, shocked Trump supporters as he egged them on for more applause while his mother, Melania, could be seen laughing in the background.
During his party with supporters tonight at the Capitol One Arena, President Trump gave his son, Barron, an epic shout-out.

Tonight, in his first evening back in the Oval Office, President Trump signed a slew of Executive Orders and commuted the sentences of 14 Jan 6 hostages and pardoned all of the remaining political prisoners from the protests at the US Capitol.
He withdrew the United States from the World Health Organization.
He reversed a plethora of Joe Biden’s Executive Orders, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s “Promoting Access to Voting” EO 14019, which allowed all federal agencies to be utilized essentially as voter registration drives.
But perhaps one of the most significant EOs, besides the pardoning of 1500 J6ers, is the “Holding Former Government Officials Accountable For Election Interference and Improper Disclosure of Sensitive Governmental Information.”

3. Tennessee sheriff's deputy became a January 6 trophy in a lie-filled 'manifest injustice' - The Blaze
The former Georgia and Tennessee sheriff’s deputy and onetime prison guard now wears a different uniform from the ones he pinned his badge to for seven years — tan work clothes issued to inmates at the Federal Medical Center run by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. “It’s ironic I sit here on this side of the fence,” McAbee, 31, of Unionville, Tennessee, told a visitor in one of the prison’s sterile conference rooms.
While the park-like surroundings on this serene campus look comforting, McAbee no longer has the freedom to enjoy them as he could have in the world he knew prior to Jan. 6, 2021. “They sure gave him a lot of time,” a prison guard remarked on the walk to meet McAbee. He looked down and shook his head.
How did the well-regarded deputy trade a sheriff’s badge number for Inmate No. 60346-509 and become a major prize for the U.S. Department of Justice and its well-oiled Jan. 6 prosecution machine?
McAbee’s tale is a cautionary one in a post-truth society.
The ground that was trod to put him here in lockup appears to be scarred with twisted evidence, bald-faced lies, a jury not of his peers, and illicit prosecution evidence that might have tainted the jury before or during deliberations. Most of all, it took an overzealous DOJ that was an active part in all of these things as it sought to put McAbee in prison for 14 years for criminality it ranked on par with attempted murder, kidnapping, voluntary manslaughter, and conspiracy to commit murder. 4. The Trump Effect: India Agrees to Take Back Every One of Its Citizens Illegally Living in the U.S. - The Gateway Pundit
Well, that didn’t take long.
President Donald Trump’s hardline negotiating tactics have already yielded fruit for the United States — but there’s still lots of work to be done.
One of the big campaign promises that helped propel Trump to his second presidential term involved the subject of immigration, namely of the illegal variety. And while much of the focus on such illegal immigration has been on countries that immediately surround the United States, there are also plenty of issues from immigration abroad.
One such problematic country: India, which reportedly has thousands of illegal immigrants in the U.S. As reported by Bloomberg, at least 18,000 illegal immigrants from India are currently in America.
That number may soon dwindle.
The Economic Times reported that Trump and the Indian government are working hand-in-hand to address this immigration issue.
“This cooperation hopes to protect legal immigration channels for Indian citizens entering the US, particularly student visas and H-1B visas for skilled workers,” the outlet noted. (Read more)

5. Exclusive — Senate Sources: FBI, Senate Democrats Reason for Tulsi Gabbard’s Slow-Walked Confirmation - Breitbart
Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, President Donald Trump’s nominee to be Director of National Intelligence (DNI), is one of the only members of his national security team in his Cabinet to not even have a Senate hearing scheduled yet.
Senate sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News on Monday that the FBI’s background check of Gabbard is taking close to the maximum amount of time the FBI has had to conduct it and is expected back to the Senate Intelligence Committee sometime in the next 24 to 48 hours. As soon as the FBI background check documents are filed with the committee, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR)—who chairs the Intelligence Committee—is expected to formally file a notice to schedule Gabbard’s confirmation hearing.
That’s where Senate Democrats come in. If they do not agree to expedite Gabbard’s hearing—Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) is the main player here, as he is the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee—then the committee under its rules needs to notice the hearing a full seven days later from the notice when it’s filed. That means Gabbard’s confirmation hearing could drag into next week, and her full confirmation before the Senate could drag into February depending on how ridiculous Democrats get with this whole process.
A lot of people close to Gabbard and Trump want to see the Senate Republicans really aggressively throw down hard against the Senate Democrats on this matter, too, multiple sources familiar with the process told Breitbart News. At this point, though, Senate Republicans have not aggressively publicly called out Democrats too much here. That could change in the days after President Trump’s and Vice President JD Vance’s inauguration on Monday, as sources close to Senate leaders say Republicans are quickly growing frustrated with Democrat obstruction and deep state efforts to slow-walk Trump’s cabinet picks. 6. BREAKING: In Final Act, Judge Cannon Blocks DOJ From Sharing Jack Smith’s Classified Docs Report with Congress - The Gateway Pundit
Judge Eileen Cannon on Tuesday blocked the Justice Department from sharing Jack Smith’s classified documents report with Congress. On Friday Judge Cannon during a hearing appeared skeptical of Merrick Garland’s plan to give Jack Smith’s Volume 2 final report on Trump’s classified documents case to Congress.
Cannon repeatedly asked DOJ lawyers why they needed to show the classified documents report to lawmakers. The Judge also asked if the final report was safeguarded from being leaked to the public.
“Why is there such urgency to disclose this to Congress right now, prior to the conclusion of the criminal proceeding — which would seem to be the ordinary course?” Cannon asked DOJ attorney Elizabeth Shapiro, according to Politico. “At the end of the day, what’s the upside of doing this right now?”
The DOJ lawyer argued that releasing a special counsel’s final report to Congress is a ‘historical practice.’ “I’m still not hearing a satisfying answer to that question,” Cannon said, according to Politico. (Read more)

Safe to say that no president in US history has undergone and survived the attacks of an opposing force as has Donald Trump. They impugned his character, lied about his deeds, interfered with his elections, falsely accused him, took away his businesses, drained him of his money and even tried to kill him. He overcame. Now they wear black, symbolic of attending the funeral of democracy. May it be that of their form of democracy disguised as communism.
Yes, folks. Communism. It has been battled here since Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt. The drip, drip, drip of communism masked as some sort of rally call for the ignorant—democracy. Their form of democracy is statism, where people vote in governments and they never leave. Others call it the deep state or administrative state, in any name it boils down to a form of communism that the Democratic Party has been gaslighting America about for decades. An 'Unusually Large' Ice Volcano in Iceland Had the Biggest Outbreak in More Than 300 Years Creating a Huge Hollow Lava Field

The volcano system of Bárðarbunga, which in 2014 produced Iceland's largest eruption in three centuries, is again showing some worrying signs of activity. On the morning of January 14, 2025, over 130 earthquakes struck the northwestern region of the volcano within five hours, with the strongest recorded at a magnitude of 5.1, according to the Icelandic Met Office. This seismic swarm is the biggest activity at the volcano since the last major eruption, which began in August 2014 and ended in February 2015. This latter created the Holuhraun lava field, as big as Manhattan Island, New York, spewing noxious fumes across Iceland and Europe.
The Bárðarbunga system is a geological giant, stretching approximately 120 miles long and 16 miles wide through Iceland's Eastern Volcanic Zone. Inside the middle of it stands a central volcano reaching a height of 6,598 feet above sea level, and its 25-square-mile caldera is buried under a thick skin of glacier ice. One of six volcanic systems located beneath Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajökull, makes its behavior—and possible eruption scenarios—tough to predict, according to Barron's.
"The volcano is unusually large, with several possible scenarios for future developments," said the IMO representatives, according to Live Science. These scenarios include eruptions outside the caldera, as happened in 2014, but also one that carries a bit more risk: an eruption beneath the glacier inside the caldera that could force explosive ash emissions and life-threatening glacial floods.
