Be sure to plan on joining our National Conference Call this evening at 8:00 p.m. EST for a "double header" presentation!
First, we will welcome Jenese Garland to join us as she shares her insights about the three conferences that took place here in Washington last week. They were: the National Day of Prayer and Repentance on Tuesday, Jan. 30th; the International Religious Freedom Summit on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 31st and Feb. 1st; and the National Prayer Breakfast for the rest of the week. Jenese was one of the "boots on the ground" who worked all week, providing on-site prayer, as needed, for each event. Welcome, Jenese!
And second, we will also welcome Sahar Smith, who is a member of our Board of Directors. Sahar has a burden to address issues related to transgenderism, and to "pray through" each one.
We will welcome both Jenese and Sahar tonight when they join us on our weekly call.
Our conference number is: 717-908-1834.
Our access code is: 616137#
Time: 8:00 p.m.
WELCOME, EVERYONE!

US begins Middle East airstrikes in response to deaths of three soldiers:
'This is the start of our response'
|
|
Friday's strikes come less than a week after 3 Army reservists were killed by an Iran-backed militia attack in Jordan
|
|
The U.S. has begun retaliatory strikes on Middle East targets, U.S Defense officials have told Fox News.
The strikes are in response to the deaths of three U.S. service members last Sunday on a U.S. base in Jordan.
The initial strikes by manned and unmanned aircraft hit command and control headquarters.
In a statement, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that forces conducted airstrikes on more than 85 targets in Iraq and Syria against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and affiliated militia groups.
CENTCOM said that the attack came at 4 p.m. EST on Feb. 2.
President Biden put out a statement shortly after the strikes were confirmed Friday, warning, "If you harm an American, we will respond."
"This past Sunday, three American soldiers were killed in Jordan by a drone launched by militant groups backed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Earlier today, I attended the dignified return of these brave Americans at Dover Airforce Base, and I have spoken with each of their families," the president said.
He added, "This afternoon, at my direction, U.S. military forces struck targets at facilities in Iraq and Syria that the IRGC and affiliated militia use to attack U.S. forces. Our response began today. It will continue at times and places of our choosing. The United States does not seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world. But let all those who might seek to do us harm know this: If you harm an American, we will respond." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord, we ask for wisdom in this situation, and strength rather than weakness. As some former military leaders have stated that the Biden administration told our adversaries what was coming ahead of time, we pray that any dangers of this action by Mr. Biden would be revealed and then deleted by Your power.

Democrat Negotiator: Border Deal Struck, Text Remains Hidden
|
|
Senate Democrats’ lead negotiator announced that a border deal has been struck, but the cabal crafting it will continue to hide the details until the last minute.
“We have a deal,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) announced on X on Friday morning, forecasting that the Senate will continue withholding the details despite barreling forward with a vote.
“This weekend we will release the bill and vote next week,” he said.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) announced Thursday that the bill’s details would be released no later than Sunday so that, on Monday morning, he could pull the parliamentary triggers necessary to expedite a vote. Even on an expedited schedule, due to Senate rules, the first vote to advance the bill would likely be Wednesday, with a final vote expected Thursday or Friday.
In that Wednesday procedural vote, the 51 Senate Democrats would need nine Republicans to join them in voting to end further debate and move forward with a vote on final passage. (Breitbart) Read more.

- Lord, we beseech You to stop any legislation that would make the border crisis worse. We pray that You would reveal the text of this bill, and allow the public to see what is being done behind closed doors.
- “Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.” (Luke 12:2)

FBI Finds Chinese State Hacker Malware on Hundreds of U.S. Infrastructure-Related Routers
|
|
The Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Wednesday announced they were able to disrupt a massive Chinese cyber-espionage campaign called Volt Typhoon that penetrated critical American infrastructure systems.
Volt Typhoon was detected and made public by Microsoft’s cybersecurity team in May 2023. Microsoft described the perpetrators as state-sponsored hackers from China who were developing “capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia region during future crises.”
Microsoft’s conclusions were backed by the intelligence agencies of the “Five Eyes” alliance: the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. China denied the allegations and accused the Five Eyes nations of pushing “disinformation.”
Volt Typhoon’s activities were originally thought to be centered on Guam, with the goal of disrupting American network communications across the Pacific in the event of a conflict with China, such as China might cause by invading Taiwan. Further investigation showed the scope of the operation was much greater, with targets including West Coast ports, oil pipelines, and the power grid of Texas.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in December that China was clearly “pre-positioning” cyber warfare assets to “disrupt or destroy that critical infrastructure in the event of a conflict, to either prevent the United States from being able to project power into Asia or to cause societal chaos inside the United States.”
Volt Typhoon was cited by cybersecurity experts as one of the biggest, most dangerous examples of “living off the land,” a technique in which hackers infiltrate a system without causing any damage or revealing their presence, using tools that mimic normal network activity. As DHS put it, the Chinese operation was all about scouting ahead and preparing for destructive attacks that could be triggered if the U.S. and China came into conflict.
DOJ said on Wednesday that the U.S. and its allies have stepped up their efforts against threats like Volt Typhoon, and that particular threat has been “disrupted” by purging its malicious software from hundreds of routers. U.S. officials remained certain that Chinese state-sponsored hackers were responsible for the intrusions.
FBI Director Christopher Wray told the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party that the nearly-obsolete routers were “easy targets” for the hackers, whose activities targeted water, power, oil, and transportation systems.
Wray said the FBI also believes China will try to interfere in the 2024 elections, as it did in Taiwan’s recent presidential race. He pointed to the tremendous amount of information Chinese applications like TikTok collect about their users as potential espionage weapons since the Chinese military apparatus is legally guaranteed at-will access to all data compiled by Chinese corporations.
“Today, and literally every day, they’re actively attacking our economic security, engaging in wholesale theft of our innovation, and our personal and corporate data,” said Wray.

1. Metula Council Head to Arutz Sheva: 'We are being fired on and there is no retaliation' - Israel National News
In a conversation with Arutz Sheva - Israel National News, the head of the Metula Council David Azoulay criticizes the government’s current policy, dictated by the political echelon to the IDF, and is skeptical about US mediator Amos Hochstein’s attempts to mediate between Israel and Hezbollah.
"We have not seen any change. We are talking about an area of 130 houses in Metula that have been damaged as a result of missiles and drones," explains Azoulay on the major damage to the homes in his settlement. “This frustrates us extensively. Israel has displaced people from their homes and there is no prospect for any change in the situation in the entire north."
Azoulay responds to the question of whether IDF strikes in southern Lebanon are not considered to be offensive operations and claims that these are "completely small scale" strikes. (Read more)

2. Gallant warns warplanes’ noses are ‘pointed north,’ as IAF hammers Hezbollah sites - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Sunday warned Hezbollah that Israel has many offensive tools it could employ in Lebanon, as the IDF said it carried out a series of strikes on sites operated by the terror group in southern Lebanon throughout the day.
“We have not yet begun to activate all our units and all our special abilities. We have many elements ready,” Gallant said during a tour of Tel Nof airbase in central Israel. “The clear-cut instruction I gave the Air Force is to point the noses of our aircraft northward… we are prepared.”
The IDF said that targets hit by fighter jets in Blida and Mays al-Jabal on Sunday included a rocket launching position manned by Hezbollah operatives, and an observation post, adding that a tank also shelled a Hezbollah cell in Blida. (Read more)

3. IDF reservists, families of hostages hold cross-country march ‘Until Victory’ - JNS
Reservist soldiers and families of hostages held in Gaza are in the midst of a five-day cross-country march, titled “Victory March: Keep Going Until IDF Victory.”
They began walking on Sunday at Kibbutz Zikim, outside the northern Gaza Strip; the march will culminate on Thursday at a rally in Jerusalem.
“After Hamas killed 1,500 people, they must pay a heavy price and in our opinion areas that have already been conquered should not be given back,” Gilad Ach, one of the organizers of the march, told JNS. (Read more)

4. Saudi Arabia will settle for Israeli promise to establish Palestinian state for normalization - YNET News
After the negotiations concerning a potential normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia were frozen following the Gaza war that broke out on October 7, Reuters reported that Riyadh would be willing to settle for a mere political commitment from Israel to establish a Palestinian state in order to reach a defense alliance agreement with Washington before the U.S. presidential elections in November.
According to two regional sources, Riyadh is interested in strengthening its defense to pushback on Iranian threats, so that it can move forward with its ambitious plan to revolutionize its economy that will lead to large foreign investments in the kingdom. The report claims that Saudi officials told their colleagues in Washington that Riyadh would not insist that Israel takes concrete steps to establish a Palestinian state and would settle instead for a commitment to a two-state solution.
A major regional deal of this kind between Israel and Saudi Arabia, perceived by many as presumptuous even before the war broke out, will still face many political and diplomatic obstacles, as well as the uncertainty as to how the fighting in Gaza will continue. This type of normalization agreement will also strengthen Israel's defense against Iran. Israel-Saudi Arabia normalization will grant U.S. President Joe Biden a diplomatic victory that he can use for the upcoming November 5 presidential election. (Read more)

5. Hamas Turns Down Hostage Deal, Demands Israel Release More Terrorists - Algemeiner
24 News – Hamas on Sunday said it rejected the proposed hostage deal formulated in Paris, demanding that Israel release more Palestinian terrorists locked up in Israeli jails, according to a Saudi outlet.
There are 136 hostages held in Gaza by Hamas and other Palestinian jihadists, abducted during the October 7 incursion and massacre.
The statement comes hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated Israel had “red lines” which could not be crossed.
Thus, the leader said, Israel will not end the war until all its goals are met, namely “the eradication of Hamas, the rescue of all our hostages, and ensuring that Gaza will never again pose a threat to Israel.” (Read more)

1: Supreme Court refuses to block West Point from considering race in admission decisions - Fox News
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday declined a request to block the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from using race as a factor in admission decisions. The Court ruled in June that colleges and universities can no longer use the affirmative action practice, except for the U.S. military academies. The high court said universities were violating the Constitution’s equal protection clause with the practice.
At the time, SCOTUS struck down affirmative action policies at Harvard and the University of North Carolina in a win for the group Students for Fair Admission (SFFA).
The Supreme Court was responding on Friday to the SFFA's emergency request that it force the military academy to pause the practice while a lawsuit filed in September against West Point makes its way through the lower courts. The student group has also sued the Naval Academy.
"The application for writ of injunction pending appeal presented to Justice Sotomayor and by her referred to the Court is denied. The record before this Court is underdeveloped, and this order should not be construed as expressing any view on the merits of the constitutional question," Friday's order read. (Read more)
- Lord, as this and other actions are often written by the media without understanding, we ask that You bring peace in the face of potential turmoil. The ruling only applies until the action goes through lower courts first. When it does, the full Supreme Court will take it up. Until then, we all must have the wisdom to wait.
- “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!” (Psalm 37:7)

2: Arizona Election Law May Enable Non-Citizens To Vote In 2024 Presidential Election, Experts Warn – Daily Caller
One of the most important states in the 2024 presidential election has a loophole in its election procedures that could allow non-citizens to cast federal election ballots, experts told the Daily Caller.
Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes crafted the state’s Election Procedures Manual (EPM) to permit individuals whose citizenship cannot be verified to register as a “federal-only” voter and cast ballots in upcoming elections.
“An otherwise eligible registrant who does not submit DPOC (proof of citizenship) and whose U.S. citizenship cannot be verified via AZMVD records or other record in the statewide voter registration database is registered as a ‘federal-only’ voter. A ‘federal-only’ voter is eligible to vote solely in races for federal office in Arizona (including the Presidential Preference Election (PPE)),” the EPM says on page three of its first chapter. (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that You fix this loophole that would allow a totally unconstitutional situation in Arizona.
- “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4: 6-7)

3: Liberals have a new Supreme Court target and you won't believe who it is - Fox
"I live in frustration ... To be almost 70 years old, this isn’t what I expected." Those words from Justice Sonia Sotomayor appear to resonate with some liberals, but not in the way intended by the jurist. Some activists and journalists are beginning to nudge Sotomayor to leave the Court in order to be replaced by a younger jurist, much as was done to Justice Stephen Breyer in 2021 and 2022.
On CNN, journalist Josh Barro bluntly wondered why Sotomayor remains on the bench when younger jurists could be brought on to guarantee a liberal vote for years to come. He indicated that many liberals are frustrated with her for not stepping down: "I find it a little bit surprising, given what Justice Sotomayor describes there about the stakes of what is happening before the Supreme Court, that she’s not retired. She's 69 years old, she’s been on the court for 15 years."
Sotomayor gave her frank assessment of being "tired" and "frustrated" during an appearance at the University of California, Berkeley Law School. She suggested that the Supreme Court's conservative majority contributes to her daily burden. It was a notable interview not only for its content but for its moderator, UC Berkeley Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky.
Chemerinsky previously shocked many in the legal community by denouncing Sotomayor's six conservative colleagues as "partisan hacks." In response to Chemerinsky's probing, Sotomayor took an implied swipe at her colleagues and declared: "I live in frustration. Every loss truly traumatizes me in my stomach and in my heart. But I have to get up the next morning and keep on fighting." (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that You bring Justice Sotomayor to an understanding of Your truth in all that she does. We take authority over these attacks and command them to stop in the Name of Jesus. Let no justice be appointed to the Court who will damage the United States or our citizens.
- " . . . if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19,20)

4: Exclusive — Elise Stefanik: Biden’s DOJ Would Rather Target Pro-life Protesters than Real Criminals – Breitbart
House Republican Conference chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY) released a statement exclusively to Breitbart News after a Tennessee court found six pro-life activists guilty of violating federal law for protesting peacefully at a Nashville abortion clinic in 2021.
“Joe Biden’s Department of Justice would rather target peaceful pro-life protesters partaking in prayer and song than hold real criminals and domestic terrorists who desecrate churches and pregnancy crisis centers accountable,” Stefanik said in the statement.
She added, “This targeted prosecution is emblematic of the DOJ’s concerning history of weaponized attacks against the pro-life movement and open trampling of the First Amendment. Joe Biden and the DOJ’s patterned hostility towards pregnancy crisis centers, Catholics, and the pro-life movement exposes the ingrained corruption and prejudice within this once apolitical federal agency under Joe Biden.” (Read more)
- Father in Heaven, we pray that You would reverse these convictions on appeal, and root out the evil that caused them. We ask for a move of Your Holy Spirit to bring repentance to these agencies, as well as strength and faith for the victims of their hate.
- “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:10-12)

5: As Communist Nicaragua Tries to Eradicate Christianity, Persecuted U.S. Pastor Leads ‘Massive Move of God’ - Breitbart
An American pastor wanted on dubious charges by the communist government of Nicaragua told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he believes his organization, Mountain Gateway, is the latest victim in a growing campaign to eradicate Christianity in the majority-Christian country.
Pastor Jon Britton Hancock explained that the Sandinista government told Mountain Gateway it was facing charges of “money laundering” and “organized crime” but has not published an indictment or clarified the alleged evidence backing the charges. Speaking to Breitbart News this week, Hancock confirmed that the Nicaraguan government is obstructing due process to such a degree that his organization does not even have the charging documents that say what crimes it allegedly committed.
There is no public indictment. The imprisoned have been denied reasonable access to a legal defense. And the patterns of repressive behavior that Ortega has adopted against Christians suggest to Hancock that this is yet another case of Christian persecution in Nicaragua.
The arrests, Hancock said, interrupted a rapidly swelling wave of Christian fervor in the nation that Mountain Gateway was intimately involved in stirring. (Read more)
- Lord, we praise You that You are working in Nicaragua. We pray for Your protection over all who are coming to You, and those who are working in this ripe field. We ask for them all to have the strength of Your Spirit, and overcoming faith.
- “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12)

6: WHO Quietly Admits There’s No Solid Scientific Backing For Giving Children ‘Gender Affirming Care’ – Daily Caller
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it would not be issuing recommendations on “gender affirming care” for children or adolescents, citing the lack of scientific literature addressing it.
The WHO is in the process of developing guidelines for the “health of trans and gender diverse people,” but has declined to extend those guidelines to people under the age of 20, according to a Jan. 15 document released by the agency. Scientific findings on the long-term consequences of child sex changes are “limited and variable,” according to the WHO.
“The scope will cover adults only and not address the needs of children and adolescents, because on review, the evidence base for children and adolescents is limited and variable regarding the longer-term outcomes of gender affirming care for children and adolescents,” the document reads.
The WHO defines anyone between the ages of 10 and 19 as an adolescent, according to its website. (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that You send a mighty move of repentance across the entire world. The targeting of our children to believe that they were “born in the wrong body” has been an egregious issue for many years. We humbly yet fervently pray that You will draw humanity back to You.
- “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

7: Organization That Was Run By Biden Admin’s Ex-Iran Envoy Had Secret Agreement With Iranian Regime - Daily Caller
A non-governmental organization (NGO) formerly staffed by a top Biden administration official had previously signed an undisclosed agreement with a think tank controlled by the Iranian government, Semafor reported on Friday.
Robert Malley, the Biden administration’s special envoy to Iran who was put on unpaid leave in 2023 over security concerns, previously served as the CEO of the International Crisis Group (ICG), a global non-governmental organization dedicated to preventing wars and conflict, from 2018-2021, and had been involved with the NGO for nearly two decades. The ICG signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the the Tehran-based Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) in 2016, but appears to have never disclosed its partnership to Congress, according to Semafor.
IPIS, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s in-house think tank, viewed the ICG as useful because the group could help in Tehran’s larger effort to bolster its image and promote policies on an international level, according to Semafor. Then-president of the IGC President Jean-Marie Guéhenno attended an IPIS international conference on conflict resolution in 2014, then subsequently signed a research and cooperation agreement through a MOU in 2016. (Read more)
- Lord, as more and more information about connections to Iran comes to light, we ask that the damage that they have done be erased. We ask that You find a way to delete Iranian, Chinese, and Russian influence from our NGOs and all governmental agencies. We ask for a series of miracles in Your Mighty Name, amen and amen!

8: House, Senate Republicans Press Biden Admin For Allowing CCP-Tied Facility Near US Military Installations – Daily Caller
Republican Missouri Rep. Mark Alford led a group of House and Senate Republicans in sending a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin regarding a manufacturing facility with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ties being built less than 100 miles from crucial military installations in Kansas and Missouri.
The Daily Caller first obtained the letter, which calls on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) to investigate the planned investment in a 333,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Johnson County, Kansas by Cnano Technologies, USA Inc. In late December, the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) broke the news of the plans and the ties between the CCP and the U.S. company.
“The construction of a manufacturing facility by Cnano Technologies, a company connected to the CCP, in Johnson County, Kansas, is deeply concerning. The CCP’s brazen aggressions around the globe cannot be tolerated,” Alford told the Caller before sending the letter. “We deserve to know what knowledge Secretaries Yellen and Austin have of this construction, any information about the company’s connection to the Communist regime, and what is being done to halt this project. A facility of this magnitude with such proximity to several military installations must be stopped. We look forward to a swift response from Administration officials.” (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that our leaders would find wisdom and stop allowing adversaries to build facilities or purchase land near our military installations. We pray that You will protect America from the folly of leaders who do not understand this danger, and bring them to repentance.
- “One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.” (Proverbs 14:16)

US and UK strike Houthi targets in Yemen one day after US strikes in Iraq and Syria
|
|
|
The US and UK have conducted strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen from air and surface platforms, including fighter jets, with the support of several other countries. At least 30 targets were struck across at least 10 locations, according to two US officials.
The targets included command and control; an underground weapons storage facility; and other weapons used by the Houthis to target international shipping lanes, one official said.
“Our aim remains to de-escalate tensions and restore stability in the Red Sea but let us reiterate our warning to Houthi leadership: we will not hesitate to continue to defend lives and the free flow of commerce in one of the world’s most critical waterways in the face of continued threats,” the US and UK said in a joint statement with Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
Two US destroyers fired Tomahawk missiles as part of the strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, a US official told CNN. The USS Gravely and USS Carney, both of which are Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers, fired the land-attack cruise missiles during the operation.
F/A-18 fighter jets from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier also took part in the strikes, officials said.
Earlier Saturday, the US struck six Houthi anti-ship cruise missiles before they were launched toward the Red Sea, US Central Command said.
The strikes on consecutive days come as the Biden administration has adopted a “multi-tiered” response to a drone attack that killed three US service members and wounded scores more last weekend. (CNN) Read more.

Speaker Johnson reveals $17 billion Israel aid bill, says Senate 'will no longer have excuses'
|
|
|
He called Democrats' opposition to his initial Israel bill 'misguided'
|
|
Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is putting legislation on the House floor next week to give Israel $17.6 billion in emergency funding.
The timing is notable given that Senate and White House negotiators are expected to release legislative text this weekend for a border security compromise in addition to President Biden's $106 billion supplemental funding request for Ukraine, Israel, humanitarian causes and other issues.
In a letter sent to Republican colleagues on Saturday, Johnson criticized the House GOP majority's exclusion from those talks and argued they were not moving fast enough to help Israel in its war against Hamas.
"While the Senate appears poised to finally release text of their supplemental package after months of behind closed doors negotiations, their leadership is aware that by failing to include the House in their negotiations, they have eliminated the ability for swift consideration of any legislation," Johnson warned.
"Given the Senate's failure to move appropriate legislation in a timely fashion, and the perilous circumstances currently facing Israel, the House will continue to lead. Next week, we will take up and pass a clean, standalone Israel supplemental package."

Iceland volcano: Grindavik's people may never return after volcano spills lava into town
|
|
The resilient community of Grindavik has for the past weeks and months experienced the relentless forces of nature, once again proving why Iceland is often called the "Land of Fire and Ice."
Three homes in this town on the Reykjanes peninsula in southwest Iceland were destroyed this month when molten lava spewed through two fissures created by the Svartsengi volcanic system.
Once a thriving fishing village with vibrant sports teams and a youthful population, Grindavik now lies empty. Its people have fled and are beginning to face up to the realisation they may never be able live there again.
So uncertain is their future, one woman said she wished her home had been swallowed up by lava.
Over the past three years, the peninsula - approximately the size of the West Midlands in the UK - has witnessed five volcanic eruptions.
On 10 November, faced with an alarming number of earthquakes and suspicions of magma beneath the town, Iceland's authorities ordered the evacuation of Grindavik, home to approximately 3,800 residents.
Over the following days it became clear that several homes had been completely ruined by seismic activity. Residents hoped to return home as the frequency of the earthquakes diminished - but in mid-December, a strong eruption began in the nearby Sundhnuks crater series, lasting three days. Read More

'Take Our Border Back Convoy':
Trucker Group Converging on Eagle Pass, Texas
|
|
DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas - The government of Texas is in a standoff with the Biden administration over its border policies, and now, some Americans are heading south to show their support for the Lone Star State.
A convoy of truckers is demanding a change in U.S. policy. They argue the federal government is making it harder for Texas to protect its border while making it easier on migrants headed for the U.S.
In addition, the United Nations and NGOs are aiding migrants heading to the U.S. border, and that's also causing concern with some U.S. lawmakers who argue U.S. taxpayers should not be helping to fund their journeys.
Scrutiny of the UN is mounting as it reportedly hands out cash to migrants during their treks north across Central America to the U.S. border. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, the aid adds up to billions of dollars.
Todd Bensman, senior fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), told CBN News, "The United Nations for 2024 plans to spend $1.6 billion, much of it U.S. tax-funded, on migration trails to assist about 3 million people. These funds, in cash, debit cards, envelopes, and vouchers, are for migrants, many heading to cross the U.S. border illegally. They'll also receive food, shelter, and other essentials."
CIS recently reported that the UN and the U.S. government have been funding more than 30 faith-based nonprofits that aid migrants on their journey to the U.S. southern border.
The historic, high number of border crossers has led to the formation of the 'Take Our Border Back Convoy,' a movement calling for more effective border control. (CBN) Read more
Here in Dripping Springs, people from across the country are converging to express their displeasure at the Biden administration's attacks against Texas Governor Abbott's attempts to secure a portion of the Texas border. The members of this 'Take Our Border Back Convoy' say they aren't coming to cause trouble and won't be attacking Border Patrol or blockading the border. Many of them say they are coming to pray. - Father we give PRAISE for strong unity across our nation to protect our southern border! We are grateful for Gov. Abbott and members of 'Take Our Border Back Convoy' standing boldly against dangerous infiltration of America. We call upon Your Name to swiftly rescue our nation, protecting our freedoms and the U.S Constitution! We decree in the Name of Jesus that hidden evil plans to destroy fair elections or any planned attacks against our nation will be exposed and quickly foiled, revealing God's continual blessings of protection over America. In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ-Amen
- "I said, 'This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!'" (Job 38:11)

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28–30
Lyrics:
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
Full of pity, love and power.
Refrain
I will arise and go to Jesus,
He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Savior,
O there are ten thousand charms.
Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome,
God’s free bounty glorify;
True belief and true repentance,
Every grace that brings you nigh.
Refrain
Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
Lost and ruined by the fall;
If you tarry till you’re better,
You will never come at all.
Refrain
View Him prostrate in the garden;
On the ground your Maker lies.
On the bloody tree behold Him;
Sinner, will this not suffice?
Refrain
Lo! th’incarnate God ascended,
Pleads the merit of His blood:
Venture on Him, venture wholly,
Let no other trust intrude.
Refrain
Let not conscience make you linger,
Not of fitness fondly dream;
All the fitness He requireth
Is to feel your need of Him.
Refrain
