A Powerful Movement Is Changing Kids’ Lives in the Toughest Cities
|
|
|
Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a city once thriving as a booming steel town, now faces significant economic challenges, including one of the nation’s highest poverty rates. Yet, in the midst of hardship, faith-based programs are stepping in to inspire the next generation, offering truth, purpose and hope for the future. The view here in Johnstown is excellent—it’s a city with a rich past, but it has fallen on some difficult times. That includes a series of devastating floods, beginning with the infamous 1889 disaster. Then the economy took a serious downturn after Bethlehem Steel pulled out, and now, in its wake, there’s a lingering sense of hopelessness.
But even a city in a dark valley can shine a light. Programs like Bible2School are bringing faith to the next generation, teaching children about Jesus and instilling a sense of purpose. “People kind of expect bad things,” says Pastor Doug Black of Liberty Grace Church. “They’ve grown up in this generational expectation that nothing good’s going to happen in Johnstown. So, it’s hard to give them hope because it’s not what they’ve experienced.” Local pastors are meeting weekly for prayer, seeking spiritual renewal for their city. This week, they gather on a rooftop, standing in the gap for Johnstown. “God, the gospel is good news, Lord,” prays Pastor Terry Knipple. “The city of Johnstown is struggling, and they need good news.” Their prayers may be finding an answer in the next generation. While student engagement can be a challenge for public schools, children in Johnstown are eagerly skipping lunch and recess to learn about the Bible through Bible2School. Abba Father, we REJOICE over what You are doing in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. We pray that each child would be touched deeply by Your Holy Spirit and transformed through the knowledge of Jesus Christ as they join the 'Bible2School' ministry within their schools. We thank You that these children are now a beacon of light to their own families, causing generations to thirst for Jesus as they begin to attend local churches together. We are in agreement with the Pastors praying for revival for Johnstown and declare Your abundant blessings and restoration will fall upon this town once again, as the next generations bring testimonies of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! By the powerful Blood of Yeshua- Amen and Amen.

Israel Redeems Six Hostages from Hamas Captivity in Gaza
|
|
|
Israel on Saturday redeemed six living hostages from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip: Eliya Cohen, 27, Avera Mengistu, 39, Hisham al-Sayed, 36, Omer Shem Tov, 22, Tal Shoham, 40, and Omer Wenkert, 23.
Cohen, Shem Tov, Shoham and Wenkert were all abducted during the Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023, massacre, while Mengistu and al-Sayed suffer from mental illness and crossed into the Strip over a decade ago.
Hamas released Mengistu and Shoham during a propaganda ceremony in southern Gaza’s Rafah, while Cohen, Shem Tov and Wenkert were freed in a similar exchange in Nuseirat in the Palestinian enclave’s center. Al-Sayed was handed over in Gaza City.
Shoham’s family released a statement hailing the “unforgettable moment,” while urging the government to do everything in its power to bring home the remaining captives.
“We thank all the people of Israel who stood with us through all the long days of pain and suffering. During these days, we need privacy for Tal, Adi, and the children,” said the statement. Read more

Shiri Bibas Murdered in Gaza Captivity
|
|
Nir Oz resident Shiri Bibas was murdered while held captive in Gaza, the kibbutz announced early Saturday morning, after Hamas returned her body to Israel late the previous night.
“With pain and deep sorrow, Kibbutz Nir Oz announces the murder of Shiri Bibas, may her memory be a blessing, who was kidnapped from her home,” according to a statement from the community.
On Thursday, Hamas returned the bodies of Shiri’s children, Kfir and Ariel, along with that of octogenarian Oded Lifshitz. However, the fourth body freed from Gaza, which Hamas said was that of Shiri Bibis, was found to belong to an unidentified woman.
The Palestinian terrorist group on Friday night handed over Shiri’s body to the Red Cross, which in turn delivered the corpse to Israel for identification.
“Following the identification process at the Institute of Forensic Medicine [in Tel Aviv], we received this morning the news we had dreaded—our Shiri was murdered in captivity and has now returned home to her sons, husband, sister and all her family for rest. Read more

Lord of Justice, we thank You that these remains were finally brought home to Israel, though Hamas willfully violated the agreement. The terror group must be removed and prevented from ever having the ability to harm Israelis again.

Donald Trump Fires Air Force General CQ Brown as Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff
|
|
US President Donald Trump abruptly fired air force general CQ Brown as chairman of the joint chiefs of staff on Saturday. The move is part of Trump's broader effort to purge military leadership that advocates for diversity and equity within the ranks.
Brown was the second Black general to serve as chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, is expected to reverberate through the Pentagon.
During his 16-month tenure, Brown played a key role in addressing the war in Ukraine and the escalating conflict in the Middle East, making his abrupt removal all the more significant.
"I want to thank General Charles “CQ” Brown for his over 40 years of service to our country, including as our current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is a fine gentleman and an outstanding leader, and I wish a great future for him and his family," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
He further nominated air force lieutenant general Dan “Razin” Caine to be the next chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. Read more

Senate Passes Late-Night Budget Bill Focused on Border, Defense Spending
|
|
Republicans in the Senate passed a $340 billion budget resolution in the early hours of Friday morning, a narrower resolution than the broad-based bill House Republicans are preparing, but still one that pleased President Donald Trump after an all-night session.
The bill, which passed 52-48, focuses on three issues: immigration and border security, defense, and shoring up development of fossil fuels. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was the only Republican to vote against the measure, joining all of the Senate Democrats in opposition. Other issues that the House wants to include, such as tax cuts, the Senate plans to add later, figuring that if the House — where the GOP holds a slim 218-215 majority — cannot agree on extending Trump’s tax cuts the three issues will be addressed immediately.
“This particular budget resolution… addresses the president’s priority, top priority, which is securing the border and implementing and putting in place his immigration policies, rebuilding our military, and creating energy dominance for this country,” Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) said before the vote was taken. 1. Hamas frees final 6 living hostages in phase 1 of deal; all reunite with family in Israel - Times of Israel
Hostages Tal Shoham, Omer Shem Tov, Omer Wenkert, Eliya Cohen, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed were released from Hamas captivity and returned to Israel on Saturday, in the largest single day of releases since the current hostage-ceasefire deal took effect. They are believed to be the final living hostages scheduled for release in the current first phase of the deal, with only four more hostages, all believed to be dead, set for release on Thursday.
The terror group paraded five of the six freed hostages on stages in propaganda-filled ceremonies in two locations in Gaza, handing them over to the Red Cross, while al-Sayed was released separately to the humanitarian organization later in the day, without a ceremony.
The men all looked frail and many had noticeably suffered dramatic weight loss. (Read more)

2. Ohana: Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria ‘only way’ to peace - JNS
Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana on Sunday backed calls for Jerusalem to extend its sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, saying full control over the territory was the “one and only way” to achieve peace in the region.“
These biblical, original parts of our land, which in the Bible tells the story of our people, are intended for us, for the people of Israel, need to be in the territory of the State of Israel, under the ownership of Israel, under full Israeli sovereignty,” said Ohana, a lawmaker for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud Party, during a visit to northern Samaria. “Today, this thing is clearer than ever,” he added.
“On the 7th of October, not only Israeli citizens were murdered but also the idea that was mistakenly called ‘the two-state solution,'” he stated, referring to Hamas’s 2023 invasion.
Ohana spoke alongside Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan at an observation point in Barkan, just outside the city of Ariel, from where it is possible to see central Israel and Ben-Gurion International Airport. (Read more)

3. Israel delays release of terrorists until humiliating ceremonies stop - Israel National News
The Prime Minister's Office announced early Sunday morning that in light of Hamas' repeated violations, it has been decided to delay the release of terrorists that was planned for Saturday.
According to the announcement, one of the reasons for the decision is the ceremonies that humiliate the hostages and the cynical exploitation of the hostages for propaganda purposes.
The PMO clarified that the terrorist release will only take place after the release of the next hostages has been assured, and without the humiliating ceremonies.
Following the decision, the terrorists who were set to be released were removed from the buses and returned to their prison cells. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu orders ‘massive’ counter-terror op after bus bombings - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday night ordered the military to conduct a “massive” counter-terrorism operation in Judea and Samaria, after three buses exploded near Tel Aviv and bombs were found on two others in what is being investigated as a coordinated attack.
There were no injuries as the explosions were apparently mistimed.
Netanyahu also instructed the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Israel Police to step up “preventive activities” against possible additional attacks across the country.
The Shin Bet on Friday arrested three people, including at least one Palestinian and one Jewish Israeli, suspected of driving a terrorist to the Tel Aviv area, according to Hebrew-language media. (Read more)

5. Israeli forces bust Jordanian weapons smuggling ring, arrest 10 suspects - World Israel News
Israeli security forces dismantled a Jordanian weapons smuggling ring, authorities said on Sunday.
Ten suspects were arrested as the Israel Defense Forces, Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) seized 34 pistols and four long-barreled weapons.
The network’s operations focused on moving firearms from the Jordanian border into Israel and then to Judea and Samaria.
“This operation highlights the direct link between arms smuggling at the borders and the supply of weapons to Judea and Samaria, including terrorist organizations. This poses a severe threat to national security,” the Shin Bet said. (Read more)

1. Mexican President Pushes Changes to Constitution to Protect Cartels from U.S. Government- Breitbart
Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum filed a controversial series of changes to the country’s constitution that would essentially block any investigation or action by foreign law enforcement agencies without their permission. The provisions could enable Mexico to criminally pursue anyone involved in those investigations. The changes come after the United States designated six Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and announced the intent to eradicate them.
This week, Sheinbaum filed a series of changes to the country’s constitution that, if approved by the legislative branch, would change Articles 40 and 19 of Mexico’s constitution.
Sheinbaum has been harshly criticized by political opponents and news outlets in Mexico in the past for appearing to be trying to protect drug cartels from the U.S. government. Read more

2. Judge Clears The Way For USAID Restructuring- Daily Wire
A federal judge allowed President Donald Trump’s administration to move forward with restructuring the United States Agency for International Development, marking a key early test of his authority to reduce parts of the federal government.
United States District Judge Carl Nichols, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, rejected a request from unions representing USAID employees to indefinitely block the administration’s plan to dismantle the agency.
In newly filed court documents, Nichols threw out the temporary restraining order that paused Trump’s order that 2,200 USAID employees be put on administrative leave, as the opinion concludes that there is not enough evidence that the agency is being disbanded to justify an extension.
The ruling means the White House can press ahead with restructuring the nation’s main foreign development agency, even as lawmakers and union leaders express concerns over stalled or canceled programs. At the same time, supporters argue this approach is necessary to curb excess government spending. Read more

3. Time to Deboard the Debacle of Planned Parenthood- The Washington Stand
The account of troubled conditions at Planned Parenthood clinics across the country reads like an investigative report from a pro-life action group. According to the 3,500+ word story, Planned Parenthood is a decidedly dispiriting and substandard place to work. A sample:
- “[A] former Planned Parenthood nurse in Minnesota who was fired while trying to unionize the staff, said that clinics were operating like ‘a conveyor belt’ for patients. She said that employees sometimes administered expired pain medication or the wrong medications as they scrambled to move people in and out.”
- “Employees at various affiliates said it was common to run out of over-the-counter pain medication and I.V. flushes. Salaries are so low that it is not unusual for staff members to qualify for Medicaid and federal food assistance.”
- “Turnover is hovering at around 50 percent a year in many parts of the country, and clinic workers complained that they were learning from inexperienced peers. More than a dozen said they did not receive adequate training for patient intake, blood draws and other tasks.” (Read more)

4. Border Patrol sees uptick in egg smuggling on southern border amid skyrocketing prices – Fox
The skyrocketing cost of eggs has prompted an uptick in attempts to smuggle them across the southern border.
There was a 29% increase in shell eggs being confiscated at ports of entry between October 2024 and February compared with the same time period last year, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Los Angeles Times reported.
"It’s common practice to get some groceries or medication and cross the border," Joaquin Luken, executive director of the Smart Border Coalition, told NBC San Diego, and he said people may not realize raw eggs are on the prohibited list.
On Monday, CBP Director of Field Operations Sidney Aki said his office has seen an increase in the number of eggs being intercepted at ports of entry.
"As a reminder, uncooked eggs are prohibited entry from Mexico into the U.S. Failure to declare agriculture items can result in penalties of up to $10,000," he wrote on X. (Read more )

5. Doug Burgum: Trump Plan to ‘Sell Energy to Our Friends’ Will Defund Russian Aggression- Breitbart
Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum explained in an interview on Wednesday that greatly expanding America’s share of the global energy market is part of President Donald Trump’s plan to increase world peace and limit the ability of malicious actors, including Russia, to cause mayhem.
Burgum made the comments in an interview on Fox News that aired on a particularly busy day for Trump’s policies regarding Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Following a meeting in Saudi Arabia between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and several top Russian officials on Tuesday, Trump published a statement on Wednesday expressing disgust with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and demanding he hold elections, which is illegal in Ukraine during wartime. The comments followed Zelensky accusing Trump of falling for alleged “disinformation” by attempting to broker an end to the Russian invasion directly.

6. Trump Says ‘We’re Going to Go Into Fort Knox to Make Sure the Gold Is There’- The Epoch Times
President Donald Trump on Feb. 19 backed Elon Musk’s plan to audit the gold reserves at Fort Knox.
“We’re going to go into Fort Knox to make sure the gold is there,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One. “You know that we’re going to go into Fort Knox? Did you know about that?”
Billionaire Elon Musk, one of Trump’s advisers, recently suggested verifying that Fort Knox still holds the gold that officials say it does.
“This gold is the property of the American people. I sure hope it’s still there!” Musk wrote recently on social media platform X, which he owns.
Musk has been helping lead the Trump administration’s efforts to review government spending and possible fraud.
Fort Knox holds 147.3 million ounces of gold, according to the U.S. Mint. That’s about half of the U.S. Department of Treasury’s gold reserves. (Read more)

O Righteous One, El Olam, Eternal One Who keeps covenant and extends lovingkindness toward those who love Him and keep His word, “Your steadfast love, O Yahweh, Your loyal love extends into the heavens, Your faithfulness unto the clouds.” (Psalm 36:5) You have assigned us to pray and decree Your word for protection over America’s aviation/airlines domestic, international, and military travel industry. Your Word tells us that unless You keep or guard a city, the efforts of watchmen are in vain. (Psalm 127:1) Therefore, we look to You for our hope and protection. (Psalm 91) You are our refuge, a very present help in time of trouble. (Psalm 46:1) When You are for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) You save us from our enemies, men of bloodshed who do iniquity. (Psalm 59:1-2) You are the Creator and Owner of the entire world - all its inhabitants - as well as the atmosphere and the heavens. You are the King of glory, the Lord strong and mighty in battle, and the Lord of Angel Armies. (Psalm 24:1,7,8,10) We know, Heavenly Father, that we always have access to Your throne of grace through Yeshua, Jesus. (John 14:13-14; Hebrews 4:16)

Dear Patriot Warriors,
Praise the Lord we are past the elections and moving ahead into a new America! Hopefully this new Government can take care of rebuilding the physical and economic infrastructure. But we need God to restore our national soul. To secure our children’s future, WE NEED REVIVAL! And only God can do that… so LET US PRAY!!
Prayer of Confession and Cry for Revival
Most Holy God, we confess that we have been a stiff-necked and rebellious people who have run after other gods. We have lusted after pleasures, money, fame and power. Sexual irresponsibility and perversion have polluted our nation, and the blood of the innocents cries out to You. Our sins have destroyed lives, dishonored You and defiled our land. Lord, we stand before You “wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17). Holy Spirit, come and move upon the Church in America with a spirit of conviction and repentance so that God’s people will humble themselves and pray and seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways. And in Your gracious love and mercy, will You turn this nation from destruction, forgive our sin and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14)?
Most merciful God, forgive us for past mistakes in electing leaders who have supported legislation promoting death and perversion over life and righteousness. Forgive us for embracing political rhetoric over the unchanging Truth of Your Word. Forgive us for putting our hope in men instead of putting our hope in You. We call forth righteous, God-fearing patriotic statesmen/ leaders ON EVERY LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT who embrace the Founders’ vision, support the Constitution and revere the Word of God.

Trump set to meet with world leaders in DC during busy week as Russia-Ukraine peace talks continue

French President Macron will meet President Trump Today in the Oval Office
|
|
|
Trump's recent remarks on Zelenskyy have apparently alarmed European leaders who have backed Ukraine throughout the war. Macron previewed in remarks on Thursday that he will reportedly take a tough tone with Trump during their meeting.
"Trump, I know him. I respect him and I believe he respects me," Macron, who will meet with Trump on Monday, said during a question-and-answer session on social media. "I will tell him: deep down you cannot be weak in the face of President (Vladimir Putin). It's not you, it's not what you're made of, and it's not in your interests."
Starmer, who is slated to meet with Trump on Thursday, said on Sunday in Scotland that there cannot be peace talks without Ukraine's input.
"Nobody wants the bloodshed to continue. Nobody, least of all the Ukrainians," he said Sunday, according to Reuters.
"But after everything that they have suffered, after everything that they have fought for, there could be no discussion about Ukraine without Ukraine, and the people of Ukraine must have a long-term secure future."
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke to members of the media on Saturday following CPAC, saying a peace deal could be reached as soon as this week.
"The president, his team are very much focused on continuing negotiations with both sides of this war to end the conflict, and the president is very confident we can get it done this week," she said. (Fox News) Read more here.

We bind the plans of the enemy and ask for Your truth to prevail over these meetings with foreign leaders. The President has already stated that both sides are to be involved, yet European leaders seem to be oblivious to that. Let nothing be done through foolish ideas, but only in the strength of Your Word.

President Donald Trump celebrated on Sunday after German conservative opposition leader Friedrich Merz claimed victory in a national election, ousting Social Democrat incumbent Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"LOOKS LIKE THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY IN GERMANY HAS WON THE VERY BIG AND HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ELECTION," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. "MUCH LIKE THE USA, THE PEOPLE OF GERMANY GOT TIRED OF THE NO COMMON SENSE AGENDA, ESPECIALLY ON ENERGY AND IMMIGRATION, THAT HAS PREVAILED FOR SO MANY YEARS.

Sky's the limit: Flying car 'does work and does exist,' company declares with stunning video

The flying cars the world was promised when Back to the Future Part II premiered in 1989 have arrived, a company said with the release of a new video featuring its flying car.
California-based Alef Aeronautics revealed the stunning video of its electric car driving and vertically taking off. The video, released on Feb. 19, shows the flying car soaring over another vehicle as it moves through the sky during a test run in California.
The idea of flying cars has been a staple in futuristic visions for a long time, featuring in films like 'Back to the Future', 'Blade Runner' and the 'The Fifth Element,' and Alef Aeronautics says they are making that future a reality.
"This is the first publicly released video of a car driving and taking off vertically," the startup said in a news release, noting the test was success. Alef Aeronautics CEO, Jim Dukhovny, told Reuters, that he hopes the video will change the world. Read More
