Trump to Visit Ohio Train Derailment Site Because Washington ‘Leaders’ Are ‘Too Afraid'
|
|
Former president Donald Trump has announced he will visit East Palestine, Ohio next week, while his son said that if leaders in Washington are “too afraid” to see the aftermath of the train derailment and toxic chemical spill with their own eyes, then “real leaders” will have to step up to the plate.
While the scope of Trump’s visit to East Palestine has not been specified, Don Trump Jr. first made the announcement in a post on Twitter.
“Breaking News: Trump will visit East Palestine, Ohio next week. If our ‘leaders’ are too afraid to actually lead real leaders will step up and fill the void,” he wrote.
Trump himself later took to Truth Social to say he’ll be traveling to the afflicted Ohio community on Feb. 22.

Biden's Labor Market: 1.9M Fewer Americans Working, 2M Foreign Workers Funneled into U.S. Jobs
|

At the end of 2022, 1.9 million fewer Americans were working than in 2019 before the Chinese coronavirus pandemic while President Joe Biden’s administration has funneled two million additional foreign workers into United States jobs.
A new analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) shows that in the fourth quarter of 2022, close to two million fewer native-born Americans were working in jobs compared to the same time in 2019 while two million foreign-born workers have been added to the workforce compared to the same time period.
For more than two decades, the number of native-born, working-age Americans in the workforce has declined, CIS notes:
There has been a decades-long decline in the labor force participation rate of the U.S.-born of working-age (16 to 64), from 77.3 percent in 2000 to 73.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022. [Emphasis added]

Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with China's top diplomat in Munich on Saturday amid tensions between the two countries over a Chinese surveillance object shot down by the United States.
Blinken met with Wang Yi while the two diplomats were attending the Munich Security Conference. State Department Spokesperson Ned Price released a statement confirming the two diplomats "met on the margins" of the Munich meeting which represents the first in-person meeting between China and the U.S. since the surveillance object was shot down.
"The Secretary directly spoke to the unacceptable violation of U.S. sovereignty and international law by the PRC high-altitude surveillance balloon in U.S. territorial airspace, underscoring that this irresponsible act must never again occur," Price said. (Fox News)

1. Smotrich refuses meeting over West Bank powers due to IDF chief's presence - Jerusalem Post
Finance Minister MK Bezalel Smotrich refused to attend a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the division of powers in the Defense Ministry after his demand to prevent the participation of IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi was not accepted, Channel 13 reported on Monday evening.
The Office of the Bezalel Smotrich responded to Channel 13's report, saying: "Minister Smotrich is very careful not to involve the army in politics. The powers will be settled tonight between Minister Smotrich and the Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gallant," the statement said.
"Minister Smotrich and the Chief of Staff have met several times in recent weeks and there is open and excellent dialogue between them. Now, the Chief of Staff is expressing his professional position to the Prime Minister and it is good that this is so, immediately afterward a political meeting will be held where the matter will be decided." 2. First reading of bills related to the judicial reform approved in the Knesset - Israel National News
The Knesset on Monday night approved the first reading of the first two laws of the judicial reform being promoted by Minister Yariv Levin.
Two bills, which relate to the Basic Law: The Judiciary, were voted upon. The two clauses which were approved are a clause dealing with changing the composition of the Judicial Selection Committee, so that it has a majority of members of the coalition, as well as a clause that will prevent the Supreme Court from striking down Basic Laws. 3. Chaos in the Knesset as protesters break in, opposition MKs escorted out - World Israel News
It was chaos in the Knesset once again as protesters broke through the barricades surrounding the building, protesting opposition MKs wrapped in Israeli flags are escorted out of the plenum ahead of a vote on two key measures of the judicial reform, and scuffles break out.
Opening remarks by Religious Zionism MK Simcha Rothman, chairman of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, were met with heckles and chants of “disaster” and “shame” from members of the opposition. His remarks included a commitment to engage in dialogue brokered by President Isaac Herzog after the vote.
Yesh Atid MKs, donning Israeli flags, staged a protest in the plenum ahead of the debate, before being escorted out of the hall.
Security guards also removed protesters from the plenum observation gallery, after they entered it illegally and beat against the glass walls separating them from the plenary area.

4. Levin says ‘nothing will dissuade me’ from going through with overhaul - Times of Israel
Justice Minister Yariv Levin says he “commits” to engage in dialogue about the judicial overhaul, but that “nothing will dissuade me from doing the right thing, and executing a reform to the judicial system.”
“I pledge to each and every citizen of Israel that I will never refrain from making every effort to reach dialogue and understandings,” he says.
The opposition has demanded the coalition halt the bill’s progress during negotiations, but the government has refused, nixing any potential talks. (Read more)

5. IAEA Monitors in Iran Detect Uranium Enriched to 84% Purity - Algemeiner
i24 News – International nuclear inspectors posted to Iran detected last week uranium enriched to levels just below the threshold for an atom bomb, Bloomberg reported Sunday, citing “two senior diplomats.”
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) monitors detected uranium enriched to 84 percent, the report said, the highest level found to date in the Islamic Republic.
The outstanding question, it is understood, is whether Iran produced the material intentionally; there is a possibility that the concentration of uranium occurred accidentally within the network of pipes connecting the hundreds of fast-spinning nuclear centrifuges. (Read more)

1.Texas Doctor Questions Whether ‘Frankenstein Viruses’ Causing Spike in Disease (theepochtimes.com)
A 1,000 percent increase in syphilis among newborns as reported by a Mississippi medical director concerns a Texas physician who was involved in the effort to get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine data released by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Because of what he’s read in that data, Dr. Richard Bartlett, a Texas physician of 30 years, told The Epoch Times that he questions whether the outbreak of syphilis and 2021’s surge of hepatitis are potentially related to evidence from a new study suggesting that “extended vaccination with [receptor binding domain] boosters overturned the protective immune memories by promoting adaptive immune tolerance.”
In other words, prolonged boosters could be harming the immune system.
Thomas Dobbs, the medical director at the Mississippi State Department of Health’s Crossroads Clinic in Jackson, posted on Twitter in January that the instance of babies born with syphilis—a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can be passed to the baby from the mother during pregnancy—has increased by 1,000 percent in six years, a trend that he said “should be a thing of the past.”
- Lord this 1,000 % increase in a sexually transmitted disease is horrifying and can be laid at the feet of the governments who pushed vaccinations on everyone. Underlying the entire thing is sin. We pray for repentance for all.

2. New Republican Bill to Revive Trump-Era Restrictions on Transgender Military Service (theepochtimes.com)
Republican members of Congress are proposing a bill that would bar people with gender dysphoria from serving in the military, with few exceptions.
The bill, called Ensuring Military Readiness Act of 2023, is largely built on policies during President Donald Trump’s first term. President Joe Biden overturned those policies with an executive order shortly after his inauguration, allowing people who identify as transgender or experience gender dysphoria to serve openly in their preferred gender.
Under the legislation (pdf), people who are seeking or have undergone “gender transition” will be disqualified from military service. Those with a history of diagnosis of gender dysphoria may still enlist, but only if they have been “stable” for 36 consecutive months.
As for those diagnosed with gender after entering into service, they may continue to serve if they meet all the mental and physical standards corresponding to their biological sex, while also not seeking any medical or surgical “gender transition,” including cross-gender hormones.
The bill’s lead sponsor, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), said in statement Thursday that the measure is meant to ensure all service members’ gender markers match their biological sex.
Rubio also argued the changes are necessary because America’s armed forces must maintain certain standards for service members in order to counter threats from foreign adversaries.

3. Biden praises Fetterman's 'brave and important' example of getting medical care; hospital stay may last weeks | Fox News
President Biden issued support Friday for Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., after he checked himself into a Washington, D.C., hospital to be treated for clinical depression this week.
"John, Gisele – Jill and I are thinking about your family today," Biden wrote in a tweet. "Millions of people struggle with depression every day, often in private. Getting the care you need is brave and important."
"We're grateful to you for leading by example,' the president added.
Reports later on Friday indicate that Fetterman may be in the hospital for several weeks as he receives treatment.
Fetterman's office released a statement Thursday confirming the senator checked himself into the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Wednesday evening to "receive treatment for clinical depression."
"While John has experienced depression off and on throughout his life, it only became severe in recent weeks," Adam Jentleson, Fetterman's chief of staff, wrote. "On Monday, John was evaluated by Dr. Brian P. Monahan, the Attending Physician of the United States Congress. Yesterday, Dr. Monahan recommended inpatient care at Walter Reed. John agreed, and he is receiving treatment on a voluntary basis."

4.Biden admin mulls move to open pathways to green cards for temporary agricultural, seasonal migrant workers | Fox News
The Biden administration is considering a rule that would open the door to allow temporary agricultural and seasonal workers to be able to apply for permanent residency in the United States, Fox News Digital has learned.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) previously announced it intends to issue a notice of proposed rulemaking to "modernize and reform" the H-2A and H-2B visas — which are used for temporary agricultural workers and temporary seasonal workers.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has said that rule will incorporate policies to address exploitation and abuse, protect workers and increase program efficiencies.
Fox has now learned that the rule process, which is still going through the consideration process at USCIS, would allow workers on those visas to take steps to become permanent residents and obtain a green card.

5. Minnesota Democrat lawmakers push ban on gas-powered lawn mowers, chainsaws to curb 'climate pollution' | Fox Business
Two Minnesota Democratic lawmakers are proposing a pair of bills that would significantly impact the state's backyards and neighborhood ice rinks in an effort to combat climate change.
State Reps. Jerry Newton and Heather Edelson, members of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, introduced legislation on Monday that would block the sale of common landscaping appliances like lawn mowers and chainsaws as well ice-resurfacing machines such as Zambonis, requiring that only electric battery versions be sold in the state starting Jan. 1, 2025.
The ban on lawn and garden equipment would include any machine that uses "a spark ignition engine rated at or below 19 kilowatts or 25 gross horsepower." Commonly used landscaping tools like lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge clippers, chainsaws, lawn edgers, string trimmers and brush cutters would all be prohibited by that definition.

6. Unearthed Emails Show Rachel Levine Discussing ‘Potential Revenue’ From Child Sex Change Procedures | The Daily Caller
Rachel Levine, who is now assistant secretary for health in the Biden administration, discussed the potential revenue that could be generated by a gender clinic social worker who could advocate for child sex change procedures in emails, reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation, with a pediatrician.
Dr. Rollyn Ornstein, a pediatrician at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, believed a social worker for the hospital’s gender clinic would generate enough revenue to make funding the position worthwhile, noting that even with age restrictions for sex change surgeries, child patients would eventually turn 18 and be eligible for further interventions, according to emails from 2018 between Rollyn and Levine obtained by parental rights activist Megan Brock and reviewed by the DCNF. Social workers at pediatric gender clinics can work as surgery advocates, gathering letters of recommendation on behalf of minors seeking sex change procedures that insurance companies are otherwise hesitant to cover, according to a 2021 report from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the National Association of Social Workers.
Levine recommended a contact for Ornstein to reach out to and said that, while surgical referrals might be limited to only mastectomies for minors, the position would still pay for itself.

7. ‘It Grew Increasingly Hostile’: An AP Reporter Interviewed Microsoft’s New AI. It Didn’t Go Well | The Daily Caller
An Associated Press (AP) reporter shocked the internet after revealing the nature of a conversation he had with Microsoft’s Bing AI chatbot.
In an attempt to best Google in the AI technology race, Microsoft began rolling out the much-anticipated Bing search engine chatbot to certain users.
Bing’s AI-enhanced search bot comes as AI technology has risen in prominence after the release of ChatGPT, a conversational research tool, late in 2022.
During a long conversation an AP reporter had with the chatbot, the AI started to respond in a disparaging manner and tone.
The chatbot attacked the journalist, alleging it reported falsely when covering artificial intelligence technology, and threatened to “expose the reporter for spreading alleged falsehoods about Bing’s abilities.”
When The AP pressured the chatbot to further explain its transgressions towards The AP’s reporting, “it grew increasingly hostile.”

8. Biden Admin Spent over $1M Shooting Down What May Be $12 Balloons (breitbart.com)
The Biden administration has spent more than $1,600,000 million shooting down what may be $12 balloons.
President Joe Biden on Thursday addressed the nation for the first time on the spate of shoot-downs of objects by the United States military over the past two weeks — four shoot-downs in total involving a Chinese spy balloon and three additional still-unknown objects.
Later Thursday, a report emerged that one of the unknown objects might have been a $12 balloon belonging to an Illinois-based hobbyist club.
“A small, globe-trotting balloon declared ‘missing in action’ by an Illinois-based hobbyist club on Feb. 15 has emerged as a candidate to explain one of the three mystery objects shot down by four heat-seeking missiles launched by U.S. Air Force fighters since Feb. 10,” Aviation Week reported.
The outlet said the club’s balloon — a “silver-coated, party-style, ‘pico balloon'” — was last seen on Feb. 10 at 38,910 feet off the west coast of Alaska. That was the same day Biden ordered an F-22 fighter jet to shoot down an object at around that altitude in that area.

A Time For Election Of God And Country

As America reflects on President’s Day and where we are as a nation, it is sad that true Americans are vilified by a popular political “party,” and anything standing on ethics, morals and traditional values is ridiculed, mocked and frowned upon. This is a contradiction to the ideal of America. Those who first came to this new land were predominantly Christians who fled Europe because of religious persecution and/or the hope for a better life. This is documented through the writings of those who settled in Jamestown, Plymouth and even the Huguenots who settled in what is now Florida in the late 1500s. The “state of mind” of these early Americans was freedom of worship and enterprise.
Our first president, George Washington, gave great insight into what it means to be an American in his 1796 Farewell Speech. He said, “Citizens, by birth or choice, of a common country, that country has a right to concentrate your affections. The name of American, which belongs to you in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of patriotism more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles. You have in a common cause fought and triumphed together; the independence and liberty you possess are the work of joint counsels, and joint efforts of common dangers, sufferings, and successes.” Read More

Ohio senators raise alarm on cancer-causing chemical potentially spreading in East Palestine

|

Sens. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, penned a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its state counterpart over the weekend, requesting more information regarding the potential spread of a compound in East Palestine, Ohio, that can cause cancer.
The two Ohio senators warned in the letter sent Saturday EPA Administrator Michael Regan and Ohio EPA Director Anne Vogel that the combustion of vinyl chloride — the toxic chemical released and burned after a train carrying it derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, earlier this month — can lead to the formation of dioxins, highly toxic compounds that are "persistent environmental pollutants."
Citing EPA information, they noted that dioxins can interfere with hormones and can cause cancer, reproductive and developmental problems. Dioxins may also damage an exposed individual's immune system. Vance and Brown asked whether the agencies were testing for dioxins and for more information regarding the federal and state protocol for handling mass dioxin exposure.
"Following our visits to East Palestine this past week where we heard directly from members of the community, we remain concerned that it does not appear that the U.S. EPA, OEPA, or Norfolk Southern is texting for dioxins," Vance and Brown wrote.
"We are concerned that the burning of large volumes of vinyl chloride may have resulted in the formation of dioxins that may have been dispersed throughout the East Palestine community and potentially a much larger area," the letter added. (Fox News) Read more here.

Undercover DC Police Officer Pushed Protesters Toward Capitol, Climbed Over Barricade: Court Filing

Three undercover Metropolitan Police Department officers joined the march of protesters up the northwest side of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021—including one who climbed over a barricade and pushed others toward the Capitol and another who walked behind Ashli Babbitt and predicted that “someone will get shot,” according to newly disclosed court documents.
New filings by Jan. 6 defendant William Pope of Topeka, Kansas, also show MPD bicycle officers stopping four armed men in plainclothes on Jan. 6. The men turned out to be federal agents. Video included with Pope’s filings also shows uniformed MPD officers saying, “We were set up [to fail on Jan. 6].”
Information in the court papers will rekindle the debate about the role that undercover officers and agents played in the riots of Jan. 6 and why the U.S. Department of Justice and federal judges have kept the evidence under seal and away from public view.
“This video clearly evidences undercover law enforcement officers urging the crowds to advance up the stairs and scaffolding towards the Capitol on January 6,” Pope wrote in one motion. “The government may claim that incidents like this did not happen, but the facts show they did.”
“Since the government cannot be trusted to disclose these facts,” Pope wrote, “it becomes even more important that defense teams, including Pro Se defendants, be able to directly examine the evidence.” (Epoch Times) Read more here.

Panic as Turkey struck by two more earthquakes

There was panic on the streets of Turkey’s Hatay as a strong earthquake struck the southern province during the early evening of February 20 followed by a moderate quake, almost exactly two weeks after twin earthquakes struck Hatay, 10 other Turkish provinces and northern Syria killing tens of thousands.
Muna Al Omar told Reuters she was in a tent in a park in central Antakya, Hatay’s capital city, when the strong quake, with a magnitude of 6.3 or 6.4, hit. 'I thought the earth was going to split open under my feet,' she said, crying as she held her seven-year-old son in her arms.
The second quake was measured at 5.8.
Initial reports did not report any deaths.

4,500-Year-Old Sumerian Palace Discovered
In The Ancient City Of Girsu

Conny Waters - AncientPages.com - The ancient Sumerian city of Girsu, located between the Tigris and Euphrates, was once part of the Lagash city-state and a political and religious center. Girsu had many temples devoted to Ningirsu, the chief god of Lagash, and it served as the capital during the reign of Gudea in the 22nd century B.C.
Tello is the modern Arabic name for the ancient Sumerian city of Girsu, one of the earliest known cities in the world. Girsu was explored in 1877 by Ernest de Sarzec and left abandoned for over a century until 2015. The recent discovery of a 4,500-year-old temple in the Mesopotamian city of Girsu demonstrates archaeologists should not give up on this ancient site.
The ancient ruins were unearthed by British and Iraqi archaeologists working for the Girsu Project. The Girsu Project, led by the British Museum, the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage of Iraq, and Getty is a joint initiative to save endangered heritage sites.

'The Spirit of God Is Moving': Revival at Lee University Passes 70 Hours of 'Salvation, Deliverance, Healing'

As the historic revival at Asbury University stretches into its eighth day, a Tennessee pastor said the Holy Spirit has also been moving in a big way on another college campus. Rob Fultz, the campus pastor at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, said revival started breaking out at his school Monday morning, with around eight students starting a prayer that ignited a movement — and it hasn’t slowed down.
Local news reports indicate the Lee revival has now gone well past the 70-hour mark. Lee University student Kaylee Joyner told WDEF on Wednesday, "Some of my friends have been talking about how hungry people are for the Lord. And I think when you walk in you can feel that. They were actually talking about the Asbury revival,” Fultz said of the Lee students who originated the movement on the Tennessee campus. “And one of the students asked the professor, ‘Why not here? And why not now? Can we go to the chapel right now and pray for revival on our campus?'”
The group did just that — and the results were incredible. “It’s been rolling since nine o’clock [Monday] morning. And the spirit of God is moving,” Fultz said. “We’ve seen salvation, deliverance, healing over the last 24 hours.” He continued, “It’s just been a phenomenal, humbling, incredibly delicate move of God.” Fultz said he was on campus until 4 a.m. Tuesday, worshipping with the students until other leaders came to relieve him.
