Florida Data Shows 23,000 Babies Saved From Abortions Thanks to Heartbeat Law
|

According to data from the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, 23,297 babies were saved by the state’s “heartbeat law” in 2024 during the seven months after the law took effect. The agency’s data indicates that abortions in the state declined for the first time in five years from 84,052 in 2023 down to 60,755 in 2024 – a 28 percent drop.Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the state’s “Heartbeat Protection Act” in 2023, which protects unborn babies after six weeks gestation and provides resources for young mothers and families. The law, titled SB300 – Pregnancy and Parenting Support, has made Florida one of the most pro-life states in the nation. The law took effect May 1, 2024 after the Florida Supreme Court ruled 6-1 that there is no right to abortion in the Florida Constitution after a lengthy legal battle over the state’s older 15-week abortion ban.
Currently, both Florida’s six-week “heartbeat law” and 15-week ban are enforced simultaneously. Florida is one of four states that have an active “heartbeat law,” which includes its close neighbors of Georgia and South Carolina, and then Iowa. The law increased widespread protection in the Southeast since Florida’s other closest neighbors of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana all have near-total abortion bans that protect unborn babies from the moment of conception. So before Florida’s six-week ban took effect, the state had been a destination for out-of-state women seeking an abortion with about one-third of all abortions in the South occurring in Florida. However, the data shows that the number of non-Florida residents traveling from out of state for an abortion also fell significantly in 2024. These abortions fell by 51 percent from 7,736 to 3,754. China outraged after Trump State Department deletes key phrase on Taiwan relations

A State Department website no longer says the US does 'not support Taiwan independence'
|

|
President Donald Trump's State Department angered Chinese officials last week after deleting a key phrase declaring U.S. opposition to Taiwan's independence.
The State Department's fact sheet on U.S. relations with Taiwan had previously stated "we do not support Taiwan independence," but the phrase was removed on Thursday and continues to be absent. Chinese officials called on the U.S. to "immediately correct its wrongdoing," on Sunday, arguing it "sends a wrong signal to the Taiwan independence forces."
The State Department noted in a statement to NBC News that the U.S. stance on Taiwanese independence has not changed.
"The United States is committed to preserving peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait," a spokesperson told the outlet Sunday.
"We oppose any unilateral changes to the status quo from either side. We support cross-Strait dialogue, and we expect cross-Strait differences to be resolved by peaceful means, free from coercion, in a manner acceptable to people on both sides of the Strait," the statement continued.
The U.S. has long held a delicate stance regarding Taiwan and its relation to the Chinese mainland. It has for decades followed the "One China" policy, in which the U.S. recognizes Beijing as the sole government of China, and acknowledges but does not affirm Beijing's claim to control over Taiwan.
Part of this understanding requires the U.S. to not have any formal diplomatic ties to Taiwan, a policy reflected in the lack of a U.S. embassy on the island.
Nevertheless, the U.S. has funded Taiwan's defense and worked with Western nations to prevent mainland China from taking over. Chinese President Xi Jinping has repeatedly stated that he is open to using military force to conquer the island. (Fox News) Read more here.

DOGE says it found nearly untraceable budget line item responsible for $4.7T in payments

The Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) discovered an identification code linking U.S. Treasury payments to a budget line item, which accounts for nearly $4.7 trillion in payments which was oftentimes left blank.
"The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (standard financial process)," DOGE wrote in a post on X. "In the Federal Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible. As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going."
The agency thanked the U.S. Treasury for their work in identifying the optional field.
According to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, which is under the Treasury, TAS codes are used to describe any one of the account identification codes assigned by the Treasury and is also referred to as the "account."
All financial transactions made by the federal government are classified by TAS when reporting to the Treasury and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
The discovery was announced on the same day DOGE appeared to have populated the DOGE.gov Savings page, which, as of Monday evening, said the total estimated savings since the establishment of the department total about $55 billion. (Fox News) Read more here.

President Donald Trump wants NATO members to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP
|

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said European countries in the military alliance have agreed to step up their defense spending in the wake of President Donald Trump’s request that they increase the number to 5% of GDP.
"Right now, we are spending $700 billion more on the European side of NATO than before President Trump came into office. It is absolutely still not enough. We have to do much, much more," Rutte said Monday in an exclusive interview on "The Story."
"The U.S. is by far the most important ally within NATO, but the U.S. is absolutely right that it is only fair that on the European side of NATO, we ramp up spending because we need to do it for our own defense. But also, because it is fair to get this balance with what the U.S. is spending on defense."
European leaders held an emergency summit in Paris on Monday to discuss an upcoming bilateral meeting between U.S. and Russian officials in Saudi Arabia to negotiate an end to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.
Alarm bells went off in Europe after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News co-host, said last week that NATO membership for Ukraine is an unrealistic outcome for any negotiated settlement to the war and security guarantees must be maintained by "capable European and non-European troops."
"To be clear, as part of any security guarantee, there will not be US troops deployed to Ukraine," he said.
Critics say Hegseth gave up key leverage in the United States’ negotiations with Russia before peace talks even began. (Fox News) Read more here.

U.S., Russia agree to "begin working on a path" to end Ukraine war, in meeting in Saudi Arabia with no Ukrainians

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Senior officials from Russia and the U.S. met in Saudi Arabia Tuesday to begin talks on improving ties and negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine. As CBS News correspondent Holly Williams reports, some felt the Trump administration had granted Vladimir Putin some degree of victory just by agreeing to hold the high-level meeting with his regime as the war he ignited with his full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, grinds on.
That sentiment may be felt most acutely by the leaders of Ukraine, who were not invited to participate in the initial discussion about the fate of their nation.
Delegations led by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met behind closed doors at the Diriyah Palace in Riyadh. The meeting marked another significant step in President Trump's move to reverse three years of U.S. policy focused on isolating Russia over its war on Ukraine, and it is meant to pave the way for a likely meeting between Mr. Trump and Putin.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said the U.S. and Russian delegations had agreed to establish a "consultation mechanism to address irritants to our bilateral relationship," and Rubio told reporters that would include a re-staffing of the two nations' respective embassies.
Bruce said Rubio and Lavrov had agreed to appoint "high-level teams to begin working on a path to ending the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible in a way that is enduring, sustainable, and acceptable to all sides." Rubio said the respective embassies in Washington and Moscow would need to be re-staffed, as "we're going to need to have vibrant diplomatic missions that are able to function normally in order to be able to continue these conduits."

1. IDF withdraws from Lebanon border villages, keeps ‘buffer zone’; Lebanese army deploys - Times of Israel
The Israel Defense Forces pulled out of southern Lebanese villages but remained in five key positions Tuesday morning, around an hour before the deadline for the withdrawal expired under the ceasefire deal with Hezbollah.
The IDF did not officially confirm completing the pullout, but the matter was confirmed by observers on both sides. Defense Minister Israel Katz said the IDF was remaining in “a buffer zone,” with “five strategic outposts,” and would enforce the ceasefire “against any violation by Hezbollah.”
“The Israeli army has withdrawn from all border villages except for five points, while the Lebanese army is gradually deploying due to the presence of explosives in some areas and damage to the roads,” a Lebanese security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told AFP. (Read more)

2. Hamas Says Bibas Children, Youngest Hostages, Among Bodies to Be Returned to Israel on Thursday - Algemeiner
The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas announced on Tuesday that it would transfer the bodies of four Israelis to Israel on Thursday, including the two youngest hostages, Kfir and Ariel Bibas.
The Bibas family said it was “in turmoil” following the announcement, but that nothing was finalized until they would hear official confirmation from Israel.
Also on Tuesday, the families of Omer Wenkert, Omer Shem Tov, Eliya Cohen, Tal Shoham, Avera Mengistu, and Hisham al-Sayed announced they had been informed by Israeli authorities that their loved ones were slated for release on Saturday, doubling the number previously expected.
Al-Sayed and Mengistu had been held in Gaza for over a decade after entering the enclave of their own accord. All the others were abducted on Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas-led Palestinian terrorists invaded southern Israel, murdered 1,200 people, and kidnapped 251 hostages into Gaza. (Read more)

3. These are the six hostages set to be freed from Hamas captivity on Saturday - Jerusalem Post
The families of Gaza hostages Omer Wenkert, Eliya Cohen, Avraham (Avera) Mengisto, Tal Shoham, Omer Shem Tov, and Hisham Al-Sayed have been informed that the six will be released alive on Saturday.
This comes after the Prime Minister's Office confirmed that Hamas will release the six living hostages on Saturday and will also transfer the bodies of four slain hostages from Gaza to Israel on Thursday.
Four of the six will have been in captivity for 505 days, having been taken hostage on October 7. Mengitsu and Al-Sayed have been held in Gaza for around a decade.

4. Top Iranian general warns Tehran will strike Israel again at ‘appropriate time’ - Times of Israel
A senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps general warned Monday that Iran would carry out a third wave of missile strikes against Israel at the “appropriate time,” after Tehran previously launched two rounds of direct attacks on Israel in April and October 2024.
“The True Promise 3 will be carried out in appropriate time,” said deputy commander-in-chief of the IRGC Brigadier General Ali Fadavi at Tehran’s Amirkabir University of Technology, in remarks carried by Iran’s Mehr news agency.
Fadavi also briefly touched on the war in Gaza, which was sparked by the Hamas-led invasion and massacre in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, claiming that the ongoing ceasefire and hostage release deal was proof that Israel “lost” against the Palestinian terror group. (Read more)

5. IAF strikes three tanks belonging to Assad's army in Syria - Israel National News
The IAF on Tuesday evening struck weapons belonging to the old Syrian regime in the area of Sasa in southern Syria.
The strike targeted three Syrian army tanks which contained weapons, and took place about 20 km from the border with Israel.
The attack was intended to prevent the tanks from falling into the hands of the new Syrian regime or terrorist organizations operating in the area.
“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel,” said the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit. (Read more)

1. Iron Dome for America: Trump Orders Pentagon to Prioritize US Missile Defense System - CBN
President Trump wants to create a defensive iron dome over America, similar to the one used by Israel to defend itself against Hamas and Hezbollah rocket attacks.
Under a new executive order from the president, the Pentagon was given 60 days to come up with an initial plan for defending the country against a wide range of missile attacks.
"We protect other countries, but we don't protect ourselves. When Ronald Reagan wanted to do it many years ago we didn't have the technology, but now we have phenomenal technology," Trump said in January during a speech at the House Republican Retreat in Florida.
The order focuses on potential threats, including ballistic, hypersonic, and advanced cruise missiles plus other next-generation aerial attacks. Trump also specified the need for deploying new space-based sensors that would identify, track, and intercept missiles. (Read more)

2. 'As good as it gets': Americans are happy, but media concealing it to 'slow support' for Trump - WND
Americans are happier with their government than they been for a really, really, long time but that fact is being suppressed by the "liberal media" because members of that industry hope "to slow the support for President Donald Trump and his second-term agenda."
That's the verdict from Washington Examiner's columnist Paul Bedard, who explained that Americans now "have the best outlook for the nation they have ever had, a remarkable turnaround so far kept secret by much of the media and Washington," which is hoping to undermine Trump.
He reported the results are from Rasmussen Reports pollster Mark Mitchell who explained to the Washington Secrets column that for the last week, "likely voters who believe the country is headed in the right direction have been about even with those who believe it is headed in the wrong direction."

3. Trump Admin Warns US Schools on DEI Practices - Newsmax
Craig Trainor, acting assistant secretary for civil rights at the Education Department, informed U.S. colleges and universities Tuesday that government funding will be chopped if they continue to apply diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
Trainor's "Dear Colleague Letter" lists areas where DEI is prohibited, including hiring, promoting, compensating, assessing scholarships, awarding prizes, and disciplining.
The list also includes "and beyond" as a way of saying even if not specified in the letter, continued use of DEI practices in any fashion constitutes what the Trump administration will consider to be contrary to the government's policies.
Trainor told schools that the Education Department will begin taking action in 14 days to assess compliance. (Read more)

4. 'Medical coercion': U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs still insists on COVID vax mandate - WND
Despite the purported end-of-an-era for vaccine mandates, the COVID-19 shot requirement is still enforced at the Veterans Health Administration.
On May 9, 2023, former president Joe Biden issued Executive Order 14099 – "Moving Beyond COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Federal Workers." His order revoked a previous executive order dated Sept. 9, 2021, which once required COVID-19 injections for federal employees.
Despite Biden's 2023 rescission of the requirement, VA Notice 24-11 reveals the COVID-19 shot requirement "remains in effect" for the Veterans Health Administration, or VHA.
The notice references VHA Directive 1193.01, which took effect on Jan. 27, 2022, and continues to require COVID-19 vaccination for all VHA healthcare personnel. This directive is not a holdover from Biden's federal worker mandate, but rather a continuation of the VA's independent healthcare worker requirement that began in July 2021.
The VA's lack of initiative to rescind the requirement appears to fly in the face of today's presidential agenda. On more than one occasion in recent years, President Donald Trump has signaled opposition to vaccine mandates. Most recently, Trump signed an executive order to block federal money for schools with COVID-19 shot mandates. Newly confirmed Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is in agreement.
If a person works in a VA medical center or any VHA facility, Fleeman explained, he or she is still required to be "vaccinated" against COVID-19 unless the individual has provided an approved exemption.
"But what the public doesn't see is that, last time I checked, around 40,000 VA employees – many of them medical professionals – requested exemptions from the COVID-19 shot," Fleeman told WND. "These are the very people on the frontlines, seeing the reality up close." (Read more)

5. Elon Musk’s DOGE Team Uncovers Over 25 Million People Ages 100+ in Social Security Database, Some Older Than the Constitution: “There are a Lot of Vampires Collecting Social Security” - Gateway Pundit
Elon Musk’s DOGE team has unearthed jaw-dropping irregularity from the U.S. Social Security database. The numbers are truly mind-boggling: over 25 million Americans registered aged 100 and older, with some purportedly older than the U.S. Constitution itself.
This information released by Musk aligns with the audit conducted by the Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General (SSA OIG) in 2015.
According to the 2023 report:
In 2015, we reported that SSA had not established controls to annotate death information on the Numident records of numberholders who exceeded maximum reasonable life expectancies of age 112 or older and were likely deceased.
At the time, only 35 known living individuals worldwide were age 112 or older, however, SSA’s Numident included 6.5 million numberholders4 age 112 or older whose record did not contain death information.
Therefore, the numberholders’ information did not appear in the full DMF. We recommended SSA add death information to approximately 1.5 million Numident records where the numberholders’ death information appeared in SSA payment records.
In response to our 2015 report, SSA considered multiple options, including adding presumed death information to these Numident records. SSA ultimately decided not to proceed because the “. . . options would be costly to implement, would be of little benefit to the agency, would largely duplicate information already available to data exchange consumers and would create cost for the states and other data exchange partners.”

6. How clever designs helped save 80 people after their plane caught fire, lost a wing and skidded down a runway upside down - CNN
When Delta Flight 4819 from Minneapolis to Toronto landed in a fiery crash that ripped off a wing and rolled the plane upside down, panicked onlookers feared the worst.
But Michael McCormick saw decades of aircraft safety improvements in action. All 80 people on board survived Monday’s crash at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
“That was absolutely phenomenal that you could see an aircraft on its back like that and have people walking away from it,” said McCormick, an associate professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
“But my second thought was, well, that’s the design. That’s engineering. That’s the years of civil aviation research … that has enabled something like that to happen.”
The two flight attendants on this flight had never landed a plane upside down, said Sara Nelson, international president of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA. But the duo had trained for many scenarios, including evacuating passengers within 90 seconds.
Despite dozens of passengers being strapped in their seats and dangling upside down like bats, the crew managed to evacuate the entire plane in less than 90 seconds.
The flight attendants “performed their jobs perfectly. They were heroic,” Nelson said.

Mighty God, I think the entire nations of America and Canada absolutely gave thanks to see everyone live through this disaster. We pray for every person on that plane to recognize that Jesus is a Savior and He brought them through it. He also enabled the flight attendants to stay strong and focus on their mission of rescuing everyone onboard. The sight of that plane and the recent events have caused everyone to be tentative in their expectations and hopeful in prayer that people would survive this disaster, and they did. Thank You Abba. Democrats in Congress are running around from the Treasury Department to USAID and who knows where else in protest of President Trump’s investigation of government efficiency and corruption. They have tried their standard “go to” scream that such an action is dangerous to democracy. They have even gone so far as to say that they will shut down the government rather than allow Elon Musk under the direction of Trump to investigate this graft and corruption. In other words, it’s ok for them to shut down the government and that’s not a threat to democracy. Trump, however, freezing spending pending an investigation of corruption and waste is somehow a threat to democracy. Huh?
Argument Number 1 from the Marxist left is that somehow auditing government agencies for waste and corruption is a threat to democracy. Yes, it is a definitive threat to their brand of democracy which is a Marxist organized crime and wealth redistribution cartel. Their brand of democracy is to suck the middle class dry of its ingenuity and wealth, and give it to themselves and their cronies. The treaty made between President Carter and Panamanian dictator Omar Torrijos giving away the Panama Canal was invalid as the two sides signed different documents, the evidence shows.
The treaty between the United States and Panama giving away the Panama Canal is null and void, as it is and never was a valid agreement, according to one of the key U.S. treaty negotiators and other experts.
Veteran researcher and journalist William F. Jasper, senior editor of The New American magazine, has been exposing this for decades. In this interview with Alex Newman on The Liberty Report, Jasper lays out some of the case.
With decades of research to back up his claims, Jasper shows that the Carter-Torrijos Treaties, negotiated and signed in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter and Panamanian dictator Omar Torrijos, were unlawful. That is because each government signed a different treaty.
President Trump has recently directed attention to the canal, which the United States spent unfathomable amounts of blood and treasure building. In his second inauguration speech, Trump said, “And above all, China is operating the Panama Canal. And we didn’t give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we’re taking it back.”

President Trump needs our prayers for his safety and protection now more than ever.
The enemy—the devil—roams the earth like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Nevertheless, greater is He (Jesus!) who is in us than he (the enemy) who is in the world. And although Jesus taught us that the thief is trying to steal, kill, and destroy, JESUS is right here with us to give us LIFE abundant.
Therefore, we need to be praying for God’s abundant life, protection, health, and safety for the president at all times!
If you’re ready to intercede for our president, pray these ten prayer points for his safety and protection:
“Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus’ name. Lord, You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. Thank You for having mercy on our nation and giving us a president who cares about America.
Lord, we thank You for giving us a president who is learning to listen to You. We praise You for Your goodness, and for Your sovereign intervention on our behalf in this land.

Father, we lift up President Trump to You today.
And in the name of Jesus, we boldly ask the following:
- Please protect President Trump’s faith, Lord. Wherever he is with You, protect his journey with you and knowledge of You—and bring Him even closer to Jesus. Help him to love You with all his heart, and let nothing rob him of his faith in You.
- Protect his mind and heart. Even when he hears hard information or is subjected to abuse from those who hate him, help him to keep his mind stayed on You—and You will keep him in perfect peace.
- Protect his ears, and what he hears—both from You and from others—in Jesus’ name. Send President Trump all the right counselors, and deliver him from any wrong counselors. Give him Your wisdom from above, and give him great discernment with it. Let him recoil from anything that is not Your wisdom, Lord.
- Protect his health, and the health of those around him. Let the area surrounding the President, Vice President, their families, and even their staff be a disease-free zone. Let Your healing virtue flood the place where he is at all times, protecting him and those around him. We plead the blood of Jesus over President Trump’s health in every way, and we ask that the healing which Jesus purchased for him with His blood would run through President Trump’s very veins!
- Protect President Trump physically, Lord. Send Your warring angels to surround him, his family, and those close to him at all times! If any threat exists at any place, we ask and decree that neither the President, the Vice President, nor any of their family members and staff would be there. Even if You have to disrupt their schedules unexpectedly, Lord, prevent them from being in the same location with anything that would be a danger to them.
- Protect his security detail. Let all security personnel assigned to his security detail be loyal and faithful to righteousness, and make them totally immune from bribes and corruption.
- Give great wisdom and discernment to all security personnel and gatekeepers of any kind who protect the perimeter at various events and venues. Let them see everything with Your eyes. Alert them supernaturally to any threats against President Trump.
- Give his chauffeurs and pilots great wisdom to foresee any potential dangers on the roadways or in the skies, and to avoid those dangers.
- Protect his words, Lord. Let President Trump only speak words that are from You. Convict him about the importance of this, and give him a desire to be like Jesus in his words. Set a watch on his mouth and don’t let him speak out anything that he shouldn’t speak.
- Protect and bless all the righteous works of his hands. If You set him to a task, bless President Trump as he does the thing—and rebuke the devourer away from his work. Don’t let anything harm or hinder his ability to carry out every righteous task that You have called him to do.

Father, only You know the state of our president’s heart at any given time.
But, we do ask that Your precious Holy Spirit would be with President Trump, now and always:
- Instruct him and teach him in the way he should go, and guide him with Your eye upon him (per Psalm 32:8).
- Draw him to Yourself supernaturally and sovereignly, as only You can.
- Let him see the beauty of Jesus, and let him do all Your will and all Your work in the White House.
- Keep him safe from all harm, danger, malintent, and loss in every way, in Jesus’ name—and glorify Your own name in him, and in all those around him.
Thank You, Heavenly Father. It is in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen and amen!”
Friend, even when God intervenes on behalf of a nation, the people in that nation still have to keep praying. We encourage you to stay diligent and faithful in covering our president, vice president, their families, their cabinet, and our whole nation in prayer. And as we humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, He will lift us up!

Earthquakes Under Alaskan Volcano Could Be Sign It's About to Erupt
|

Mount Spurr in Alaska – rising some 3,370 meters or 11,070 feet above sea level – could be about to erupt, with the number of small and recent earthquakes in the area now into the thousands.
Volcano seismologist Matthew Haney, from the Alaska Volcano Observatory in Anchorage, told Julia Jacobo at ABC News that the chances of an eruption now stand at about 50-50. That's after a noticeable increase in activity over the past 10 months.
As the volcano is only 130 kilometers or 80 miles west of Anchorage – population 286,075 – there's a real chance of danger to life. The city could be cloaked in a dust cloud if an eruption happens, as has happened in the past.
The video below shows the fallout of a 1953 eruption from the same volcano, which shot an ash cloud more than 10,000 meters above sea level. There's footage of people wiping ash from their vehicles and a snapshot of a headline from the Anchorage Daily News that reads "City 'Digging Out'." No deaths were associated with the eruption.
"Unrest continues at Mount Spurr, with numerous small, shallow volcanic earthquakes detected beneath the volcano," explains a recent volcano notice from the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
