Israel accuses Hamas of violating truce deal
- military operations resume
Israel's military has resumed combat in Gaza after accusing Hamas of violating the seven-day truce.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said: "Hamas violated the operational pause and in addition fired towards Israeli territory."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office added that Hamas did not agree to release all women hostages, infringing on the terms of the truce, and also launched rockets at Israel.

"With the resumption of fighting we emphasise: The Israeli government is committed to achieving the goals of the war - to free our hostages, to eliminate Hamas, and to ensure that Gaza will never pose a threat to the residents of Israel," it said in a statement.

Around 30 minutes after the ceasefire ended, the Israeli military said its fighter jets were striking Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. (Read more)
- Lord, terrorists routinely violate ceasefires. We pray that Israel will be able to complete the mission to destroy Hamas. We also pray for a move of Your Spirit across Israel to bring into fruition.

- “And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.’” (Romans 11: 26-27)

WATCH: Lock to Santos’s Office Changed After Unprecedented Expulsion
The lock to former Rep. George Santos’s (R-NY) office in the Longworth building in Washington, DC, was changed soon after he was expelled from Congress on Friday.

A video shared on YouTube by PBS Newshour shows what appears to be a worker for the Architect of the Capitol changing the locks to Santos’s office.

“Are you changing the locks,” a reporter asked the worker, who responded, “Yes, sir.”

Perched on a reception desk in the background of the office was Santos’s official congressional portrait, where he smiles widely in a blue sweater and suit. Breitbart News Congressional Correspondent Bradley Jaye captured a photo after the lock change showing his office name had been removed from the office as well. It now reads, “Office of the Third Congressional District of New York.”

Santos was expelled from the house on Friday in a 311-114 vote that saw 105 Republicans join with Democrats to oust the now-former New York congressman, who faces 23 counts in a superseding indictment brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. The charges include conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, wire fraud, making materially false statements to the Federal Election Commission, and more. (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that all members of Congress that have committed ethical violations be removed, and not this man only. Let Your Holy Spirit flood the entire House and Senate with truth, destroying the lies that have existed there for decades.

- “No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.” (Psalm 101:7)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israel issues severe travel warnings to dozens of countries amid rising antisemitism - Times of Israel

The National Security Council on Monday updated travel warnings for dozens of countries, amid rising antisemitism around the world as Israel fights the Hamas terror group in Gaza.

Several countries in Western Europe, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany; in South America, including Argentina and Brazil; along with Australia and Russia were raised to Level 2, which recommends that Israelis take additional precautions while there.

A number of countries in Africa, including South Africa and Eritrea, and in central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan, were raised to Level 3, which recommends postponing nonessential travel.

The National Security Council also reiterated its recommendation that Israelis reconsider all travel abroad and called on those who do need to travel overseas to avoid outward displays of their Jewish and Israeli identities. (Read more)

2. Doctor treating freed Hamas hostages reveals unprecedented abuse: 'We have to rewrite the textbooks' - Fox News

A doctor treating freed Hamas hostages in Israel says survivors are suffering from an unprecedented level of "extremely severe psychological abuse" endured during captivity.

"I can tell you that on behalf of all the medical and psychological teams treating those who return, the mental states we encountered have no precedent in medical literature. We feel that we have to rewrite the textbooks of post-trauma," Dr. Renana Eitan told "Sunday Night in America."

Eitan revealed the Tel Aviv Medical Center is actively treating more than 15 former hostages and described their "severe physical and mental abuse." (Read more)

3. IDF strikes Hezbollah targets in Lebanon - Israel National News

IAF fighter jets overnight Monday struck Hezbollah launch posts, terror infrastructure, and a military compound.

The strikes are in response to launches from Lebanon to Israel earlier in the day.

In addition, in response to a launch from Lebanon to the area of Zar'it in northern Israel, the IDF struck the sources of the fire. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu trial resumes - World Israel News

The combined corruption trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu resumed Monday after a break of over two months due to the high holiday season and the outbreak of war against Hamas, with lawyers for the defense and the justices saying the time has come to finish the proceedings.

Jacques Chen, attorney for Shaul and Iris Elovitch in what is dubbed Case 4000, asked that the case only be heard twice a week, as he has been on active duty in the reserves since October 7. Part of his legal team was also called up by emergency orders, he added.

To shorten the time spent in court, he said that he sent his prosecutorial colleague a list of six witnesses of the 22 to be called in who could be made redundant.

In addition, he estimated that the testimonies of the rest can be completed within 15-16 hearings, so “it is possible to advance the trial by hearing it two days a week.”

5. Turkey warns of 'serious consequences' if Israel tries to target Hamas officials abroad - Jerusalem Post

Turkey warned Israel of "serious consequences" if it tries to hunt down Hamas members living outside Palestinian territories, including in Turkey, a Turkish intelligence official said on Monday.

"Necessary warnings were made to the interlocutors based on the news of Israeli officials' statements, and it was expressed to Israel that (such an act) would have serious consequences," the official said.

Israel's public broadcaster Kan reported on Sunday that Israel would hunt down Hamas in Lebanon, Turkey and Qatar even if it takes years, the head of Israel's domestic security agency Shin Bet said in a recording. It was unclear when Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar made the remarks or to whom. (Read more)

6. Turkey’s Erdogan Says Israel’s Netanyahu Will Be Tried as ‘War Criminal,’ Calls Him ‘Butcher of Gaza’ - Algemeiner

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was a “butcher” who would be tried as a “war criminal” over Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza, upping his anti-Israel rhetoric as relations between the two countries continued to decline.

“Beyond being a war criminal, Netanyahu, who is the butcher of Gaza right now, will be tried as the butcher of Gaza, just as Milosevic was tried,” Erdogan said in a speech to an Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) committee meeting in Istanbul. The Turkish leader was referring to Yugoslav ex-President Slobodan Milosevic, who was tried for genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes at a tribunal in The Hague.

Erdogan — who falsely accused Israel of attempting to uproot Palestinians from all of Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem — also lambasted Western countries for supporting Israel. (Go here)

1. Biden admin unveils latest crackdown on oil and gas industry at UN climate conference - Fox

The Biden administration finalized environmental regulations targeting methane and other air pollutants generated by the U.S. oil and gas industry across hundreds of thousands of existing sources nationwide.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan — alongside White House climate czar Ali Zaidi, Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and climate advocates — announced the rulemaking during a press conference at the COP28 United Nations climate summit in Dubai on Saturday morning. The Biden administration said the action was among the "most critical" it could take to "slow the rate of climate change."

"On day one, President Biden restored America’s critical role as the global leader in confronting climate change, and today we’ve backed up that commitment with strong action, significantly slashing methane emissions and other air pollutants that endanger communities," Regan said in a statement, adding that the rule will "reduce climate pollution, protecting people and the planet." - Father, the Biden administration is lying in an effort to be a frontrunner for something that has become an absolute cult. We pray that Your hand will bring truth to bear in this situation, and destroy the agenda of those who do not understand the cycles of Your creation.

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22)

2.Dozens Of NYC Seniors Evicted From Nursing Home Turned Into Migrant Shelter – Daily Wire

Dozens of seniors in New York, including a 94-year-old Army veteran named Frank Tammaro, were evicted from their senior center, which was then converted into a migrant shelter.

City officials have estimated that tens of thousands of migrants have entered the city since last spring, which is costing around $5 million per day. Mayor Eric Adams, who previously boasted about NYC being a “sanctuary” for migrants, has more recently complained about the influx of migrants.

Tammaro told Fox News that he had lived in the center for five years, and intended to spend the rest of his days there until he and the other members were notified that they were being kicked out. After he was evicted, Tammaro’s family found out that the center was turned into a migrant shelter.

“I do get upset when I see them handing out all this money and all these things, and I’m paying taxes and getting kicked out,” Tammaro said. “I’ve never got anything from the city. Or the state.”

The veteran’s daughter, with whom he now lives, echoed the same sentiment. “I don’t understand it at all. It’s not fair to anybody,” Barbara Annunziata said. “These migrants, they’re getting everything. They’re getting everything and I can’t get nothing for [Tammaro]. It angers me.” (Read more)

- Lord, this egregious situation is a direct result of NYC being called a “sanctuary” for migrants. They brought it upon themselves, but we pray for the city to find a good solution that does not endanger either our veterans or the ordinary citizens of New York.

- “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

3. US commits to shutting down its coal plants during COP28 – Fox

The Biden Administration is forging ahead with its green agenda by committing the United States to not building any new coal plants and phasing out existing plants.

U.S. Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry announced at the annual United Nations climate change summit, known as COP28 and which is being held in Dubai, although no date was given for when the existing plants would have to go.

"We will be working to accelerate unabated coal phase-out across the world, building stronger economies and more resilient communities," Kerry said in a statement.

"The first step is to stop making the problem worse: stop building new unabated coal power plants."
Kerry said America was joining the Powering Past Coal Alliance, a pact of nearly 60 countries that have promised to accelerate the phasing out of coal-fired power stations, except the very few that have carbon capture and storage. (Read more)

- Lord, as the Biden administration continues its march to destroy the US over “fossil fuels,” we ask for saner heads to prevail. We erect a hedge around the coal industry- and all energy industries in the United States to protect us from foolish actions by this administration. May Your wisdom come to all of our leaders or cause them to be removed.

- “I turned my heart to know and to search out and to seek wisdom and the scheme of things, and to know the wickedness of folly and the foolishness that is madness.” (Ecclesiastes 7:25)

4. What Arab Nations Are Reportedly Saying to Israel in Private Is Quite Interesting - Townhall

It feeds into everything that’s been reported about Israel’s Arab neighbors and why they don’t want Palestinian refugees roaming wild in their country: they bring trouble. The late King Hussein had to declare war on them and successfully drove them out. The problem is the Palestinian Liberation Organization set up shop in Lebanon, where they caused problems for the government while also attacking Israel from the southern part of the country. Israel had to invade in 1982 and remained in Southern Lebanon until 2000. Egypt has closed its border with the Gaza Strip in Rafah due to terrorism concerns.

In the days after the brutal October 7 attacks executed by Hamas, Egypt knew what was going to happen. They deployed tanks to the border while their prime minister vowed that his country would sacrifice millions to keep their borders safe. He was not referring to Israel. So, what’s the latest? Well, Haaretz is reporting that Israel’s Arab neighbors are telling Jerusalem privately that they shouldn’t stop military operations until Hamas has been annihilated. They view them as a domestic threat.

This act of making noise publicly but more reasoned discussion behind the scenes among Arab leaders happened in early November, when they gathered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to discuss the ongoing Gaza War. There was a lot of talking condemnation of Israel, but nothing came of it (via AFP):

The outcome of a joint summit of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in the Saudi capital highlighted regional divisions over how to respond to the war even as fears mount that it could draw in other countries.

The summit took place against a backdrop of widespread anger in the Middle East and beyond over Israel's aerial and ground offensive in Gaza, which has killed more than 11,000 people, mostly civilians and many of them children, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

Israel says it has set out to destroy Hamas following the militant group's bloody October 7 attacks that Israeli officials say killed about 1,200 people, also mostly civilians, and saw about 240 taken hostage.
The final declaration on Saturday rejected Israeli claims that it is acting in "self-defence" and demanded that the United Nations Security Council adopt "a decisive and binding resolution" to halt Israel's "aggression".

It also called for an end to weapons sales to Israel and dismissed any future political resolution to the conflict that would keep Gaza separate from the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who before the war was considering establishing formal diplomatic ties with Israel, told the summit he "holds the occupation (Israeli) authorities responsible for the crimes committed against the Palestinian people". (Read more

- Lord, the dichotomy exhibited here makes it terrible for Israel. We ask that more nations would repent and see Your plan for the Middle East and Israel in particular. We bind the actions of the haters of Israel and pray for You to intervene on their behalf.

- “Ask of Me and I will give You the Nations for Your inheritance and the ends of the earth for Your possession.” (Psalm 2:8)

5. ‘What Are Democrats Trying to Hide?’: Marsha Blackburn Slams Dick Durbin for Blocking Epstein Flight Logs – Breitbart

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) blasted Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) Thursday for allegedly blocking her request to file a subpoena for sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs, accusing Democrats of “hiding” something.

Blackburn is a member of the Democrat-led Senate Judiciary Committee, on which Durbin serves as chair, giving him control over the panel’s subpoena power.

The Tennessee Republican publicly called out Durbin on X, writing, “@SenatorDurbin BLOCKED my request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs. What are Democrats trying to hide?”

Blackburn initially called to subpoena the flight logs in early November, demanding to get more information on those who allegedly flew in billionaire Epstein’s jet to his private Caribbean island and other locations, where he is suspected of pimping out women and children to his guests. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that these attempts to hide sins will be revealed and dealt with by You in Your wisdom. Let repentance flow through all who have committed egregious acts.

- “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

6. Hamas terrorists branded Israeli children hostages in case they escaped, relative says - Fox

A family member of two Israeli boys released from Hamas captivity this week said they were branded like cattle, among other abuses, in the weeks they were held in Gaza since Oct. 7, according to a report.

Brothers Yagil Yaakov, 12, and Or Yaakov, 16, were freed Wednesday during a temporary cease-fire that saw the release of approximately 110 hostages. Their uncle said the terrorists branded each boy by using the exhaust pipe of a motorcycle to identify them in case they escaped, the Times of Israel reported.
"They told us stories about what they went through inside Gaza. The stories are horrible," Yaniv Yaakov said in North Macedonia with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen. "Each child that was taken by Hamas was taken on a motorbike, and they took every child, took his leg and put it on the exhaust of that motorbike, so they have a burn, so they will be marked if they run, if they escape, so [Hamas] can find them." (Read more)

- Father, these terrorists are pure evil and deserve Your judgment to be swift.  We pray for these children to be healed and comforted by Your Spirit. We pray that You will mitigate and residual horrors they have by Your precious Presence.

- “In the cover of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You store them in Your shelter from the strife of tongues.”  (Psalm 31:20)

7. Singer Who Filmed Provocative Music Video In Catholic Church Issues Flippant Response To Controversy – Daily Wire

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter drew criticism earlier this month with the release of her music video for “Feather.” The video, which includes provocative dancing, skimpy outfits, and death-related imagery including fake blood, was filmed inside Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Catholic church in Brooklyn.

Since the resulting scandal ensued, the priest responsible for allowing Carpenter and her team to film inside his church has been relieved of administrative duties, as The Daily Wire previously reported. Msgr. Jamie J. Gigantiello apologized to the bishop, the Diocese, and parishioners for the “shameful representation” in the video, saying he “whole-heartedly” renounced it.

Now the 24-year-old singer, who has been on tour with Taylor Swift for several months, shared a few thoughts about the controversy. “We got approval in advance,” Carpenter told Variety about the video shoot in an interview published Wednesday. She also made a reference to her last name, telling the outlet, “And Jesus was a carpenter.”

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn has taken the situation very seriously. They shared a statement with the Catholic News Agency, that said, “The parish did not follow diocesan policy regarding the filming on Church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script.” (Read more)

- Father, this lack of respect and understanding of You is despicable. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will show Ms. Carpenter and Msgr. Gigantiello the truth and bring repentance. It should have never taken place inside of ANY church, regardless of denomination. We pray for a move of repentance across all denominations, all who use Your name, and all who desecrate Your places of worship to help them find Your power and presence that will change their hearts.

- “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.”  (Psalm 51: 10-12)

 8. James Carville: 'Christian nationalists' like Speaker Mike Johnson are a 'bigger threat than al-Qaeda' – Fox

Democratic strategist James Carville sounded the alarm on new Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, saying he and other "Christian nationalists" are a bigger threat to the country than al-Qaeda.

Appearing as a panelist on Bill Maher's "Overtime" segment, Carville was asked about Johnson, who is from his home state of Louisiana.

"Mike Johnson and what he believes is one of the greatest threats we have today to the United States," Carville told Maher on Friday. "I promise you, I know these people."

"You're talking about Christian nationalists," Maher said.

"Absolutely," Carville responded. "This is a bigger threat than al-Qaeda to this country." (Read more)

- Lord, the evil rhetoric floating around the nation is off the charts. We bind these words and command them to fall to the ground. We ask for repentance upon all who live in such hate and bitterness.

- “Repent therefore of this your wickedness and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.” (Acts 8:22)

Changing The Prophetic Family Legacy

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 4, 2023

The holiday season is a time when we think about family and getting together to share the blessings of being around our loved ones. It is a time that is celebrated beginning with Thanksgiving—thanking the Lord for our many blessings because He is with us always—and extending through Christmas where we honor the birth of Christ who brought us eternal salvation (even though he likely wasn’t born in December). But so many around the world are unable to celebrate these good tidings with family members because they are estranged or feuding, which makes the season very sad. The Bible gives us a very good example of how to handle even the deepest division within our families.

Genesis 32-33 recalls the story of Jacob and Esau reconciling their relationship after 22 years. It begins with Jacob being extremely distraught with news that Esau was coming with a company of 400 men. Jacob prayed to the Lord in Genesis 32:11, “Deliver me, I pray of you, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.” Now Jacob, being wise, sent Esau hundreds of goats and sheep as well as camels, cattle, and donkeys. Jacob hoped Esau would “accept” him. Essentially, Jacob went before the Lord in prayer and then began humbling himself before Esau. He even restored much of the inheritance he wrestled away from Esau in deceiving their father Isaac into giving Jacob the blessing of the firstborn. The night before Esau came, Jacob, still distressed, was alone. Read More

11 hikers dead, 12 missing after Indonesia's
Marapi volcano erupts
Eleven hikers were found dead Monday and another 12 were missing after a volcano erupted in Indonesia, with rescuers racing to carry injured and burned survivors down the mountain on foot.

Indonesian authorities halted the search for those still missing after Mount Marapi erupted again, unleashing a new burst of hot ash as high as 800 meters, or 2,620 feet, into the air, the Associated Press reported. Abdul Malik, West Sumatra's Search and Rescue Agency head, said the search operation would resume once conditions improved.

There were 75 hikers in the area at the time of the eruption, but most were safely evacuated, the BBC reported.

Rescuers worked through the night to find dozens of hikers stranded on the volcano on the island of Sumatra after it spewed an ash tower 3,000 meters — taller than the volcano itself — into the sky on Sunday.

The dead hikers were found near Marapi's crater after the 2,891-meter volcano rained ash on nearby villages, according to a local rescue official. Read More

The Sinner's Prayer

Scripture:  The shepherds said to one another, Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about. So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby, who was lying in the manger. Luke 2:15–1

Lyrics:
O come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye,
To Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of angels;

Refrain
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

True God of true God
Light from Light Eternal,
Lo, He shuns not
The Virgin’s womb;
Son of the Father,
Begotten, not created;

Refrain

Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation;
O sing, all ye citizens
Of heaven above!
Glory to God, all
Glory in the highest;

Refrain

See how the shepherds,
Summoned to His cradle,
Leaving their flocks,
Draw nigh to gaze;
We too will thither
Bend our joyful footsteps;

Refrain

Lo! star led chieftains,
Magi, Christ adoring,
Offer Him incense,
Gold, and myrrh;
We to the Christ Child
Bring our hearts’ oblations

Refrain

Child, for us sinners
Poor and in the manger,
We would embrace Thee,
With love and awe;
Who would not love Thee,
Loving us so dearly?

Refrain

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,
Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory given;
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing.
