Our New Year's Message to You
Many of us are looking ahead to the next year, 2024, with a strong sense of foreboding. The list of possible disasters that are about to befall our people and the nations seems to be endless, so for the sake of time, we will refrain from citing those.
Instead, we look to the Word of God as our anchor, and in that Word, we find that it is written that "where sin abounds, grace does more so abound." (Romans 5:20)
In this year of "abounding sin" that is about to befall our people, we instead LOOK UP, for our redemption draweth nigh!
It is written: "“Every word of God is perfect.
He is like a shield to those who trust in him.
He keeps them safe." (Proverbs 30:5,6)
So we exhort our readers, as we each take our positions as "watchmen on the wall," -- even as we see the evil that surrounds us -- to instead "look up" knowing that our God IS in control, and that, in the end, we will say with Job: "I know that my redeemer LIVES!" Let's embrace 2024 as a year of overcoming grace, to see His Glory fall and to see a harvest of souls won to His Kingdom.

Colorado GOP Takes Trump Ballot Battle to Supreme Court
|
|
The Colorado GOP filed a petition to the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday, seeking a review of the Colorado Supreme Court decision that allowed the state to disqualify former President Donald Trump from the ballot based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
On Dec. 19, the Colorado Supreme Court, in a controversial move, declared President Trump ineligible, invoking a provision that bars individuals who have engaged in "insurrection" against the United States from holding office.
The state's Supreme Court stayed its ruling until Jan. 4, 2024—the day before ballots are due to be printed—or until an appeal is made to the U.S. Supreme Court
Now, with the Colorado GOP's petition and President Trump's lawyers indicating their intention to appeal the decision, the stay looks to be extended until the U.S. Supreme Court's decision.
In its petition, the state GOP argues that it has been irreparably harmed by the Colorado Supreme Court decision. "The Colorado Supreme Court has removed the leading Republican candidate from the primary and general ballots, fundamentally changing the course of American democracy," the petition reads. 2024: Black Swan Event Coming?
|

A "perfect storm" is raging all around us, and our world is so close to plunging into a complete and utter state of chaos that even the mainstream media is talking about it. The past several years have been a time when multiple major wars have begun, pestilences have paralyzed the entire planet, the worst global food crisis in modern history has erupted, and we have been hit by a seemingly endless series of natural disasters.
But there is a growing consensus that even more difficult times are ahead of us. During a roundtable discussion on "Face the Nation" on Sunday, CBS News correspondent Catherine Herridge actually confessed that she is concerned that "2024 may be the year of a black swan event"...
CBS News' "Face the Nation" held a roundtable on Christmas Eve, affording various talking heads an opportunity to make predictions for 2024. While most of the predictions were relatively banal, one among them stood out, prompting critics to puzzle over its possible significance. Network correspondent Catherine Herridge, the wife of a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, suggested that "2024 may be the year of a black swan event. This is a national security event with high impact that's very hard to predict."
I agree with her, but I don't think that it will be just one "black swan event" that we will be facing. A black swan event is considered an unlikely and unpredictable event with significant consequences. Examples of black swan events include the Wall Street Crash of 1929 and Great depression, the dissolution of the Soviet Union, 9/11 terrorist attacks, the global financial crisis of 2008, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

It feels as if we have been in a "but God" moment for a very long time and we are all tired from the emotional upheaval that has created. Jesus, you know the beginning from the end, and we are asking that you prepare our hearts for what the future holds. We ask you to open our eyes to see your hand in our midst. We ask you to move on the hearts of your intercessors, gather them and give them supernatural vision and wisdom to pray your intentions into what is coming. We are asking for your angel armies to be dispatched to intervene for us just as you did Daniel. We ask for Daniel type faith to carry us through the hard times when we feel isolated and alone, remind us to go into our prayer closets and seek your presence. We decree and declare that you are the God of "more than enough", that you will provide for your children exactly what each of us needs. We ask this in the name Jehovah Jireh, The God Who Provides.

1. PM Netanyahu to hostages' families: 'We are holding negotiations even at this very moment' - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with representatives of the families of the hostages on Thursday in Tel Aviv.
The meeting was continued by the Prime Minister's wife, Sara Netanyahu, together with the government's coordinator for the issue of the hostages and missing persons, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gal Hirsch.
At the beginning of the meeting, Netanyahu stated: "We are holding negotiations even at this very moment. I can not elaborate on the status, but we are working to bring back everyone. That is our goal." (Read more)

2. Israel launches heavy strikes across central, southern Gaza - Israel Hayom
Israel launched heavy strikes across central and southern Gaza overnight and into Wednesday after broadening its offensive against Hamas to more areas where the military had told Palestinians to seek shelter earlier in the war.
Residents reported heavy bombing in the built-up Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, in the southern city of Khan Younis, and in the southern town of Rafah, areas where tens of thousands have sought refuge as much of northern Gaza was pounded to rubble.
A home near Abu Mosab's shelter was hit, but no one was able to reach the area, he said. Mobile phone and internet service was down for several hours before being gradually restored on Wednesday, the latest of several such outages that have complicated rescue efforts. (Read more)

3. 2 wounded, one seriously in stabbing attack near Jerusalem - World Israel News
One woman sustained moderate to severe injuries and a man suffered minor injuries in a stabbing attack at Mazmuria checkpoint near Har Homa in southern Jerusalem on Thursday night.
The terrorist approached the two victims and stabbed them as they were standing at the checkpoint.
One of the wounded victims shot and killed the terrorist at the scene.
MDA medics and paramedics gave provided the wounded with emergency treatment and evacuated them to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu cancels war cabinet meeting on post-war Gaza planning amid pressure from Smotrich - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled a war cabinet meeting that was supposed to be held tonight to discuss Israel’s plan for who will govern Gaza after the war.
Netanyahu has refused to hold any such meetings until now, angering the Biden administration, which argues that failure to plan for who will govern Gaza after the war will lead to the IDF being bogged down in the enclave indefinitely.
The Israeli premier’s stance has been influenced by his far-right coalition partners who have similarly rejected any discussion about PA rule in Gaza.
This leaves few if any other options, but Netanyahu has appeared committed to keeping his coalition intact and has accordingly sought to delay “day-after” discussions for nearly three months. (Read more)

5. New Wave of Antisemitic Attacks Reported in London - The Algemeiner
The onslaught of Jew hatred in London continues apace with multiple reports over the past 48 hours of assaults and graffiti across the city.
In the Stamford Hill neighborhood, a bus stop outside a Jewish girls school was targeted on Wednesday with antisemitic graffiti in which a Star of David was defaced with a large “X.”
In a separate incident in the same neighborhood, an assailant on a bicycle is seen on video knocking the hats off of identifiably Jewish men and reportedly also punching Jews.
London has experienced a record number of such incidents this year, exacerbated by a massive uptick following Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre across southern Israel. (Read more)

1. Biden’s Immigration Problems Grow With Caravan Headlines – The Hill
They’re back. A migrant caravan slowly making its way north from Mexico’s border with Guatemala is taking center stage in the immigration debate as the Biden administration turns to Mexico for help in reducing border crossings. The group of about 6,000 people took over immigration headlines that had been previously occupied by bipartisan Senate negotiations, but it’s likely to produce similar results.
The Senate talks to tie Ukraine aid to permanent border policy changes fizzled out as the holidays approached and are unlikely to return to the limelight in January, when Congress will be under deadline to keep the government open.
Migrant caravans, say Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials, also tend to fizzle out. “These reported caravans generally travel very slowly and often splinter before they make progress moving northbound towards the Southwest Border. Nevertheless, CBP will continue to monitor developments in coordination with our foreign and interagency counterparts as we have with previous movements of migrants,” said a CBP spokesperson in a statement.
Nevertheless, news of the caravan has overshadowed a high-level visit to Mexico led by Secretary of State Antony Blinken
— and kept migration in the spotlight. That’s bad news for President Biden, whose two weakest issues heading into the 2024 reelection campaign are his age and border security. (Read more)

3. Jack Smith Wants to Prevent Jury From Learning About Undercover Agents at Capitol in Jan 6 Case Against Trump – The Gateway Pundit
Special Counsel Jack Smith wants to prevent President Trump from blaming provocateurs and undercover agents for the January 6 Capitol riot. “Through public statements, filings and argument in hearings before the court, the defense has attempted to inject into this case partisan political attacks and irrelevant and prejudicial issues that have no place in a jury trial,” Jack Smith’s 20-page filing said.
“Although the court can recognize these efforts for what they are and disregard them, the jury — if subjected to them — may not. The court should not permit the defendant to turn the courtroom into a forum in which he propagates irrelevant disinformation, and should reject his attempt to inject politics into this proceeding,” Smith wrote according to the court filing reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

4. Kim Jong Un Calls to “Accelerate” War Preparations Following Confrontation Moves from the US – The Hill
North Korea’s Kim Jong Un called for the acceleration of war preparations in response to what he described as “unprecedented” confrontation moves from the United States, state media reported Wednesday.
The comments came during an annual multi-day meeting of North Korea’s ruling party, the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), during which North Korean officials wrap up the year and outline policy objectives for the following year.
The remarks also follow months of heightened rhetoric from North Korea about the so-called threat coming from the United States and its alliances with South Korea, Japan and other democratic countries near the peninsula. Kim has accused the United States of taking provocative moves with its military, arguing for the need to increase readiness.
Kim, in his remarks, “set forth the militant tasks for the People’s Army and the munitions industry, nuclear weapons and civil defence sectors to further accelerate the war preparations,” according to the Korean Central News Agency. (Read more)

6. Dozens of GOP Candidates Sign Pledge to Reject Covid-19 Vaccines and Big Pharma Money – Pandemic news
Although it’s easy to blame pharmaceutical companies for the damage their Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines have caused to humanity, it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that governmental agencies and the politicians who control them also play a key role. That’s why a concerned physician in Texas has called on candidates to clarify their stance toward these jabs and vow not to accept campaign donations from greedy pharmaceutical companies – and the uptake has been surprisingly strong.
The woman behind the initiative is Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, a Texas ear, nose and throat doctor who founded the Coalition of Health Freedom. She called on candidates running for various offices throughout the nation to explain their position on whether COVID vaccines should be pulled off the market. She also asked them to make a public pledge not to accept any campaign donations from Big Pharma.
In a post on X, she wrote: “Want to help? It’s primary season. Let’s replace the politicians who aren’t protecting their constituents.” She continued: “Ask your representatives … publicly whether they stand with 17,000+ doctors to support pulling the COVID shots off the market.”
So far, she reports that 26 candidates and elected officials across 11 states have agreed that the jabs should be taken off the market. (Read more)

7. Landmark Supreme Court Case Could Upend Jan 6 Prosecutions – The Epoch Times
The decision will affect more than 330 defendants and could eliminate the DOJs unprecedented and novel use of a law designed for white collar crime. The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to take up a Jan. 6 case that challenges the most frequently charged felony from that day could upend more than 330 criminal cases and eliminate the most potent weapon wielded by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
On Dec. 13, the High Court granted certiorari to a petition of appeal from Jan. 6 defendant Joseph W. Fischer, 57, of Jonestown, Pennsylvania. Mr. Fischer is among the hundreds of defendants in cases regarding the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach who are charged with corruptly obstructing an “official proceeding”—the joint session of Congress that met to tally Electoral College votes and hear objections from members.
The DOJ put the Jan. 6 protesters in its sights with the unprecedented use of a 2002 evidence-tampering statute to prosecute them for delaying the counting of votes from the 2020 presidential election.

- Lord God, we ask that You grant favor and wisdom to Joseph Fischer’s attorneys as they represent him before the Supreme Court. We pray that the SCOTUS would strike down the use of U.S. Code Section 1512(c)(2) against the 300 plus January 6 defendants as well as any others who have been charged using this code for behavior not intended to actually be covered by the code.
Father, we agree that the DOJ has politically weaponized Section 1512, and that its use in the January 6 cases should not stand. We pray that the Supreme Court would find in favor of truth and justice, and that the cases against the 300 plus would be dismissed. Then, may this act serve as a precedent to judges and attorneys who would try to twist and turn codes for their own selfish and political leanings.

8. Texas Sends Illegal Immigrants on a Plane After Chicago Blocks Buses – The Epoch Times
Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) escalated his response to the border crisis on Tuesday, resorting to flights after Chicago impounded buses sent by Texas to drop off illegal immigrants.
This marks the first time the Lone Star State has used a plane to transport illegal immigrants out of the state to liberal sanctuary jurisdictions. The move adds a new dimension to the tension between the Republican-led state and local authorities as they grapple with the challenges posed by the influx of migrants illegally entering the country.
Andrew Mahaleris, Mr. Abbott’s spokesman, said Texas transported more than 120 migrants from El Paso to Chicago on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Mahaleris shared news of the flight on social media, noting it was a response to Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s “failing to live up to his city’s ‘Welcoming City’ ordinance by targeting migrant buses from Texas.”
“Nearly every single day, Chicago’s mayor attacks Governor Abbott for busing migrants to his sanctuary city,” Mr. Mahaleris said in an earlier post on X. “He needs to check his campaign website, where he promises to welcome them with open arms.” (Read more)

- Father God, our nation is now rife with millions of unknown people: Some who are criminals, some who bring death to our offspring through drugs and gangs, some who are being trafficked, some are terrorists. Father, as You well know, nearly all have no homes, lack employment, cannot feed themselves or their families. We have to question every motive of our U.S. officials who continue to allow them to illegally enter our nation—for what good purpose? None! We ask for Your great mercy to quickly reverse these curses and restore what has been ruined and stolen. Please restore those illegals to their own families and help them find Your plans for good--a future and a hope; and bring the criminals to justice.
We ask You, Lord God, to forgive those in leadership in “sanctuary cities” and the citizens who elected them. They have chosen to rely on their own understanding; and, even in the face of adversity, do not seek to change their thoughts and actions. Abba Father, what foolish, ridiculous behavior we are seeing these days from those whose thoughts and minds have been corrupted by the evil one.
We pray for Gov. Abbott and those fighting this battle 24/7 to receive Your wisdom and strength; may Your legions of angels be available to war and to minister to those on the front lines, even supernaturally erecting an invisible barrier that cannot be breached. Without You, Lord God, we face doom and destruction unless our nation repents and returns to You and Your ways.

Prophetic Terrorism Against Jews And Christians

The Judeo-Christian world is repulsed by the brutal, barbaric display of Hamas terrorism against Jews in Israel. On another continent, the Fulani are terrorizing Christians very similarly. Hamas and the Fulani share radical Islamic beliefs that teach it is their religious duty to rid the world of Jews and Christians. Over Christmas, the Fulani massacred some 150 Christian men, women and children as they slept in villages across Nigeria’s Plateau State. The Fulani are a nomadic Islamic tribe that roams across West Africa grabbing land illegally and daring governments to stop them under the threat of terrorism. We have had such experiences in our food and clothing outreach in Ghana, West Africa. It’s what we face.

Death, bloody confrontation, destruction of farms and properties, pollution of water bodies, rape, robbery, rampant theft and open disregard for authority, follow their trail wherever they go. In Bosuafise where we have a physical presence of our ministry, the Fulani have set up a permanent camp, from where they launch out into neighboring villages with their cattle, destroying crops and degrading land.” The Islamists have become very bold in rural areas where there is little law enforcement and intimidation replaces rule of law. The Reason For The Season

Earlier this week, millions of Americans and people around the world celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day. It is one of the most sacred events on the Christian calendar. Jesus’s birth is what Christmas is all about.
But something strange and disturbing happened at the Biden White House. There was no official statement from the Biden White House regarding Christmas Day, no official Christmas proclamation.
There were just a couple of social media posts from Joe and Jill Biden letting us know that they were enjoying some “quiet reflection” and encouraging others to find “peace in the silent night” and “warmth from those surrounding you.” Those generic platitudes could have applied to almost any occasion.
In another post, the Bidens celebrated our men and women in uniform and the sacrifice many of them are making being overseas, separated from their families. And that’s perfectly fine.
But there was something obviously missing from any of these statements – Jesus Christ, the whole reason for the season!
Sadly, there is a pattern here of blatant disrespect for Christianity from this White House. Joe Biden has repeatedly omitted God from his Thanksgiving Day proclamations, and now he’s dumped Jesus from his Christmas messages.
By the way, he did it last year, too!
So, this isn’t an accident. It’s deliberate, and it’s deliberately insulting. They have abandoned the faith of our fathers and now worship neo-Marxist ideologies instead.

A Big Merry Christmas

In stark contrast to Biden’s meaningless mush, former President Donald Trump issued a tremendous Christmas message that completely embraced the meaning of the holiday. Here’s what Trump said:
“Melania and I would like to wish everyone a happy, joyous, and wonderful Christmas season.
“In this holy time of year, Christians everywhere give thanks that over 2,000 years ago, God sent his only Son into the world to be the savior of all mankind. The birth of Jesus Christ is the true miracle we celebrate each Christmas.
“He is the ultimate source of our joy, our hope, and our sense of peace and goodwill as we gather with family and loved ones. It is such a great time of the year. This is why we can never stop saying that beautiful phrase, ‘Merry Christmas.’”
“This holiday, we give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. We pray for the safety of our men and women in uniform at home and abroad. And we ask God to guide us, give us strength, and watch over us in this pivotal year ahead.
“With His help, by this time next year, we will be well on our way to making America safer, stronger, greater, and more prosperous than ever before.”
“Once again, Melania and I wish you a very Merry Christmas. God bless you all. May 2024 be the best year of our lives.”

Faith Under Siege

While far too many Americans take religious liberty for granted, many of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world go to church on Sundays and at Christmas knowing it could well be the last thing they ever do on this earth.
In nations that abandon or reject Christianity and where the government suppresses religious freedom, it’s anything but a joyous time of year.
In the days leading up to Christmas, Muslim terrorists attacked multiple Christian villages in Nigeria. More than 160 Christians were slaughtered, and many more were wounded. The world yawned.
In Nicaragua, the communist regime is waging an all-out assault on Christian leaders. And, of course, the crackdown on Christians continues unabated in communist China.
And closer to home, there was a string of arson attacks on churches in Canada this weekend. More than 100 churches have been vandalized or burned to the ground over the past two years. Four were burned in the past two weeks.
Did you read about this in your local paper? Nope. Unless you looked for it, you would have no idea that there is an epidemic of church arsons just north of the border.
And as we have reported to you, there are growing attacks and desecrations against churches here in the United States, as well as attacks against faith-based ministries that help women in challenging pregnancies.
As Christians, our faith is in God. As Christian citizens blessed to live in America, our fate is in our hands. Just as our Founding Fathers stood up and demanded their rights, it is time for men and women of faith to stand up and say, “ENOUGH!”

The One Remaining Bulwark That Can Save America

There is only one remaining bulwark that can save America from the tsunami wave of godless secularism, anarchy and falsehood that is engulfing the land, and it is not a politician or a political party. Only the church can save America from total ruin. The church, however, must awaken to its God-given role in this hour. It is not here to be liked, accepted or applauded by contemporary culture. The church is here to proclaim Jesus Christ as the epitome and personification of all truth. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (Col. 1:17). No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:4). Paul understood this centrality of Christ as the essence of the gospel, and he reminded the Corinthian believers that when he first came to their pagan, idolatrous city, he did not seek acceptance from them, "For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified" (1 Cor. 2:2, NASB).
His Christ-centered message was foundational, for in 1 Corinthians 3:10b he says, "I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it." What was the foundation Paul the apostle laid for the church in Corinth? He says, "For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1 Cor. 3:11). In 1 Corinthians 1:17 (NIV), Paul says that Christ did not send him to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, "lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power." Paul seems to be saying that if we go too far in trying to make the gospel more hip, cool and attractive to contemporary culture, we run the risk of preaching a gospel that has been "emptied of its power." Has there emerged an American gospel that is empty of power? It is the undiluted, Christ-centered gospel message that possesses the inherent power to transform lives and society. The early church conquered ancient Rome, not with swords and spears, but with a message. As Paul said in Romans 1:16 (NKJV), "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."
