US has delivered over 10,000 tons of military equipment to Israel
|
|
The United States has delivered more than 10,000 tons of military weapons and equipment to Israel since the start of the war on Oct. 7, Channel 12 reported on Monday.
These shipments have arrived in 244 cargo planes and 20 ships. The Hamas terror group invaded the northwestern Negev on Oct. 7, murdering 1,200 people, mostly civilians, precipitating the launch of “Operation Swords of Iron” with support from Washington.
According to the report, Israel’s Defense Ministry has acquired nearly $2.8 billion in additional purchases from the United States. This includes “armored vehicles, armaments, personal protective equipment, medical supplies, ammunition and more.”
Additionally, the report states that Israel’s military production lines are working around the clock during the war. (JNS.org) Read more here.

- Abba, we give you praise and thanksgiving for guiding and directing US leadership in providing military support for Israel as they come against Hamas to stop the hand of the enemy from doing further damage to Your people and land.
We ask for supernatural revelation to be given to those leading the IDF. Reveal Hamas tunnels and other infrastructure so they can be eliminated. Expose locations of Hamas leadership so all can be taken prisoner or taken out. Father God, your hand of protection and victory has been seen in earlier times of war in Your land and we ask You to "Do It Again"! Let this conflict be another testimony of your favor and goodness towards your people, Israel. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, the Host of Heaven's Armies.
- "And they defeated him by the blood
of the Lamb and by their testimony.
And they did not love their lives so much
that they were afraid to die."

‘A Disaster’: Christian Leaders Sounds Off After Pope Francis Gives Green Light to Bless ‘What God Calls Sin’
|
|
Christian leaders are speaking out after Pope Francis granted the green light Monday for Roman Catholic priests to bless same-sex couples.
The Rev. Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, posted a no-holds-barred criticism of the pope, warning that “blessings” on homosexual couples won’t “save you from the judgment of God.”
“Pope Francis has now approved Catholic priests’ blessing’ same-sex couples,” Graham wrote. “But none of us, including the pope, has the right to ‘bless’ what God calls sin. ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…’ (Isaiah 5:20).”
He continued, “The Good News is that, right now, God will forgive sin, but we have to come to Him His way, on His terms — by repenting of our sins and placing our faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Otherwise, the Bible says, ‘The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed’ (Isaiah 1:28).”
Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, called the statement from Pope Francis “a disaster.”
“It’s a disaster, I think, on many fronts but, in particular, it’s a disaster because the impact of this in the larger culture is going to be to add momentum to the very forces that are tearing apart gender, tearing apart sexuality, tearing apart civilization, tearing apart marriage, tearing apart sexual morality, and all the rest,” he said on Tuesday’s episode of his podcast, “The Briefing.”
Mohler went on to criticize Francis as “an agent of suggestion, subversion of the Christian order by suggestion,” arguing the pope is “charting a course for the Roman Catholic Church that appears to be designed to liberalize without being as obvious and upfront and perhaps even as honest as he should be about the liberalization.” (Faithwire.com) Read more here.

- Abba, our hearts grieve over the level of deception and subversion that has infiltrated your church. We grieve that many of your shepherds no longer speak truth from your word as they once did. We ask for your forgiveness.
Father God, we ask for the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord to fall on all who say they are yours, but don't do what you say to do. We ask you to bring Pope Francis face to face with you, allow him to hear and understand how you see this decision. We ask that eyes and ears be opened in those who "call good evil and evil good", reveal the deception the enemy has sown, show them how these lies have impacted their belief systems and decision making processes. We ask you for their hearts, bring all who will receive you into your kingdom. We ask this in the name Yahweh, the God who is present, accessible, near to those who call on Him for deliverance, forgiveness and guidance. AMEN
- "All of this is for your benefit. And as
God's grace reaches more and more people,
there will be great thanksgiving, and
God will receive more and more glory."
(2 Corinthians:4:15)

- Holy King, Righteous Judge, Author and Finisher of our faith, we declare this cruel program to be finished and under the blood of Jesus at the foot of the cross, in Jesus mighty and holy name. Let each one of these funding and enabling agents be removed from their finances, power and authority, in Jesus holy name. We declare them null and void and the non-American humans that are being used as chattel to promote this wicked agenda, will be returned and restored to their families in their home countries.
We call for the cartels to be completely under the feet of Jesus and unable to continue their wicked activities, because of the blood of Jesus that has been painted upon the borders of this nation. Holy King, we call on You to rise up and roar at the border, in Jesus name. Let the power and might of Your wind, Your name, Your Spirit, put the fear of God into every character involved in this agenda, in Jesus name. Amen.
- "'Seek the Lord and live, Lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, And devour it. With no one to quench it in Bethel– You who turn justice to wormwood, And lay righteousness to rest in the earth!'" (Amos 5:6-7)
- "'For I know your manifold transgressions And your mighty sins; Afflicting the just and taking bribes; Diverting the poor from justice at the gate. Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time.'" (Amos 5:12-13)

1. Israel readies for war on 7 fronts as attacks recorded in neighbouring countries - Independent
Israel has warned they are in a war on seven fronts as attacks recorded in a handful of neighbouring countries in the last 48 hours spark fears of the conflict escalating to the wider region.
In an address to the Israeli governmenton Tuesday, Yoav Gallant, the country’s defence minister and one of only three members of its war cabinet, said they were coming under attack from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, Iraq, Yemen and Iran.
“We are in a multifront war and coming under attack from seven theatres,” he said, before listing them all.
Without specifying, he added that they were taking action on six of the fronts.
His comments came as explosions were recorded off the coast of Yemen, presumed to be an attack by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels, and missiles were fired into Israel by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon. (Read more)

2. IDF chief of staff ‘approved plans’ in north, warns of readiness to attack - JNS
Israel Defense Forces’ Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi approved operational plans on Wednesday at the military’s Northern Command, which has responsibility for the Lebanese border, and warned of the need to “be ready to attack if required.”
Halevi made the comments after holding a situation assessment together with the Commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, and other commanders, the IDF said.
“Our first task is to return residents securely, and it will take time. We approved today a variety of plans for continuation, and we need to be ready to attack, if required. The IDF and within it, the Northern Command, are in very high readiness. So far, the campaign is managed correctly and meticulously, and it should continue as such. We will not return the residents without security and a sense of security,” said Halevi. (Read more)

3. PM: For peace, Hamas must be crushed, Gaza demilitarized, Palestinians deradicalized - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that before there is peace between Israel and the Palestinians, “Hamas must be destroyed, Gaza must be demilitarized, and Palestinian society must be deradicalized.”
The three prerequisites were detailed in an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, in which the premier reiterated his stance that the Palestinian Authority is unfit to govern the Gaza Strip after Hamas is vanquished, a position that has put him at odds with US President Joe Biden’s administration.
Notably, the piece didn’t include as a prerequisite the release of the 129 hostages who were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 and are still being held by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. The thousands of invading terrorists abducted a total of some 240 hostages that day, and killed about 1,200, mostly civilians.
The column also avoided mentioning a Palestinian state or a two-state solution, which Netanyahu regularly says he staunchly opposes. (Read more)

The war in the north is escalating: A remotely manned aircraft exploded on Wednesday evening in the southern Golan Heights.

5. Turkey’s Erdogan says Netanyahu worse than Hitler, Israel running ‘Nazi camps’ - Times of Israel
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was worse than Nazi leader Adolf Hitler during a speech he gave at an event in Ankara on Wednesday, drawing charges that he himself was guilty of genocide.
The barbed exchange was a return to form for the two leaders, whose long history of public attacks on each other has ebbed and flowed alongside Israel and Turkey’s on-again, off-again alliance. The attacks had halted in the last year or two as Jerusalem and Ankara rekindled their relationship, but the détente has seemingly fallen apart over the Israel-Hamas war.
During an opening speech at an award ceremony in the Turkish capital, Erdogan said the systematic slaughter of 6 million Jews in the Holocaust was not as bad as Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza, and likened Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in the Strip to that of Jews rounded up in concentration and death camps. 1. California Pizza Huts lay off all delivery drivers ahead of minimum wage increase - AOL
Pizza Hut is laying off more than 1,200 delivery drivers in California. The layoffs, which will take place through the end of February, come as California's minimum wage is about to go up by $4. Fast-food workers in the state are set to get a pay bump of close to 30% in April as the minimum wages rises from $16 to $20 an hour.
PacPizza, LLC, operating as Pizza Hut, said in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice that the company made a business decision to eliminate first-party delivery services and, as a result, the elimination of all delivery driver positions, according to Business Insider. The notice was filed with the state's Employment Development Department.
The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act requires employers to give notice of mass layoffs or plant closures.
Southern California Pizza Co., a second Pizza Hut franchise, is also eliminating its in-house delivery services and laying off 841 drivers, according to a WARN Act notice from Dec 1. (Read more)
- Lord God, we pray for all those losing their jobs due to this minimum wage increase that you would supernaturally provide for them, and help them find other places of employment. We pray that this would serve as an example to other states to find a balance of minimum wage, so that people can still be paid well while keeping their jobs. In Jesus name, Amen.
- “And my God will fully supply your every need according to his glorious riches in the Messiah Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

2. Biden Giving Bureaucrats 'Historic' Raise - Townhall
While American families struggle to make ends meet under the effects of "Bidenomics," the president delivered a massive raise for federal civilian employees to close out 2023, hiking their wages more than five percent on average, in the biggest pay bump for bureaucrats in more than 40 years.
According to the Washington Post's story on Biden's executive order making the "historic" salary increases, the federal workforce "will receive pay raises averaging 5.2 percent — more in some high-salary areas — under an order President Biden signed" that "delivers the biggest increase to U.S. government workers since the Carter administration."
For the "close to 2.2 million people" in the federal workforce, the pay bump is "0.6 percentage points higher than last year's increase, which itself was the highest in two decades, and will take effect in the first full pay period of 2024," according to the Post. (Read more)
- Lord God, our hearts are heavy that so many have needs right now due to bad policy decisions while those making bad decisions get an increase. We pray that justice would be done in this situation in Jesus' name. We pray, God, that all your people would see supernatural increase to not only pay our bills but also be able to help others and be a witness of your goodness. Amen.
- “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” (Matthew 7:11)

3. Red Cross refused to give medicine to Gaza hostages, Netanyahu tells families - The Jerusalem Post
An International Committee of the Red Cross representative refused to bring a box of life-saving medicine to Israelis taken hostage in Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in a Monday address to the Knesset plenum.
"I met with the Red Cross; I handed them a box of medicine for some of the hostages shown here. Some of them really need it...I told a representative to take this box to Rafah; she said no. It was a difficult conversation," he told a special Knesset session attended by families of hostages, who were heard shouting "Now!" at the prime minister as he explained the return of all hostages would take time.
"We are sparing no effort, both seen and hidden, to bring all of the hostages home," Netanyahu said. (Read more)
- Lord God we pray for all those in need that you would continue to send people specifically in that area to help all those suffering. We come against all anti-semitism, division, and confusion and break their powers now in Jesus' name. Give Netanyahu and others making tough choices wisdom and courage to do what’s right in Jesus' name. Amen.

4. Michigan Supreme Court rejects ‘insurrectionist ban’ case and keeps Trump on 2024 primary ballot - CNN
The Michigan Supreme Court has rejected an attempt to remove former President Donald Trump from the 2024 primary ballot based on the US Constitution’s “insurrectionist ban.”
The outcome, which was generally expected, is a victory for the former president, though an effort to remove him could be renewed for the general election. Wednesday’s decision contrasts with the recent ruling from the Colorado Supreme Court, which kicked Trump off its primary ballot because of his role in the January 6 Capitol riot. That decision has been paused pending an appeal.
With these dueling decisions, the expected appeals to the US Supreme Court become even more critical, especially as the nation races toward the start of the 2024 primaries. Unlike in Colorado, the Michigan lawsuit never reached a trial and was dismissed early on in the process. An intermediate appeals court upheld the decision to toss the case on procedural grounds. (Read more)
- We thank you God for those standing up for what is right and showing this by their actions. We pray that more would be done to show unity in this situation. We thank You that this Court has ruled to keep Trump on the ballot in the State of Michigan. We pray this evil (in Colorado) would not prevail, in Jesus' name.
- “Stand up for what you know is right, and judge all people fairly. Protect the rights of the poor and those who need help.” (Proverbs 31:9)

5. Impeachment inquiry expands to whether president obstructed Congress over Hunter Biden testimony - Just The News
The House impeachment inquiry formally expanded Wednesday to the question of whether President Joe Biden "corruptly sought to influence or obstruct" Congress by keeping his son Hunter from attending a closed-door interview, according to a letter sent to the White House.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan said comments made by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre suggesting the president was aware in advance of his son's plan to give a press conference Dec. 13 rather than attend his transcribed interview as required by subpoena necessitated the expansion.
"The fact that the President had advanced awareness that Mr. Biden would defy the Committees’ subpoenas raises a troubling new question that we must examine: whether the President corruptly sought to influence or obstruct the Committees’ proceeding by preventing, discouraging, or dissuading his son from complying with the Committees’ subpoenas," they wrote in a letter to White House Counsel Edward Siskel. (Read more)
- Lord we continue to pray over this situation that you’d give all those overseeing this investigation wisdom and strength to get to the bottom of this corruption. We come against all efforts to stop these investigations in Jesus' name. And we pray justice would be done. Amen.
- “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;” ((2 Corinthians 9:8))

6. North Carolina election board unanimous in primary ballot decision: Joe Biden lone Democrat - Just The News
When Super Tuesday rolls around in 10 weeks for North Carolinians, there’ll be just one choice for Democrats and the favorite choice per polling for Republicans.
President Joe Biden will be the only name available on the Democratic primary ballot, the state’s Board of Elections has confirmed by unanimous vote. That vote by three Democrats and three Republicans also included the Grand Old Party primary ballot to be inclusive of seven names, headlined by former President Donald Trump.
The announcement from North Carolina’s board was the fourth instance of Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., being unable to get on a ballot. His longshot challenge to Biden was also blunted in Florida, Tennessee and Massachusetts. Author Marianne Williamson and progressive commentator Cenk Uygur were others bidding. (Read more)
- Lord, we continue to cover all of our elections in 2024 in the blood of Jesus. We bind all hindering spirits or plots and schemes to steal any race and silence American voices. We pray that all the righteous people running in every state for every leadership position would be given favor with the American public so that they’d be elected to serve and help rebuild America. We pray every leader would seek you and trust in you in Jesus name amen.
- “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You!” (Psalm 84:11-12)

7. China threatens more trade sanctions on Taiwan as election nears - Reuters
The Chinese government on Wednesday threatened to place further trade sanctions on Taiwan if the ruling party "stubbornly" adheres to supporting independence, in a further escalation of the war of words as Taiwanese elections approach next month.
Taiwan's Jan. 13 presidential and parliamentary elections are taking place as China, which views the island as its own territory, has sought to force Taiwan to accept Chinese sovereignty claims.
Taiwan this month accused China of economic coercion and election interference after Beijing announced the end of tariff cuts on some chemical imports from the island, saying Taipei violated a trade agreement between the two sides signed in 2010. (Read more)
- Lord God, we lift up all Christians to you living in China and Taiwan that are suffering under tyrannical leadership. We pray Lord that you would be with them in a mighty way. We thank you for your grace that strengthens your people. And as the corporate body of Christ, we come against all evil that is trying to oppress your people in these areas from living to their full potential that it would be cut off from working against your people. In Jesus name amen.
- “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)

8. Pope Francis laments violence in Gaza, Ukraine during annual Christmas speech, call for peace - Fox News
Pope Francis renewed calls for peace and an end to the many violent conflicts around the world, particularly the war in Gaza and the invasion of Ukraine, as he begged for everyone to remember "the voice of the innocent."
"Isaiah, who prophesized the prince of peace, spoke about a day in which one nation will not lift up sword against another nation," Pope Francis said to a crowd of roughly 6,500 followers in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. "He wrote of a day when people will no longer learn the art of war but instead beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks."
"With God’s help, let us make every effort so that day will come," the pope urged. "May it come in Israel and Palestine, where war is devastating the lives of those people. I embrace all of you, particularly the Christian communities of Gaza, the parish in Gaza and the entire Holy Land." During his Urbi et Orbi speech – meaning "to the city and to the world" – the pope highlighted the suffering of innocent people in the Gaza War conflict, particularly children, whom he called "the little Jesuses of today." (Read more)
- Lord God we also want peace for every nation and every person. But Lord we recognize there is a real enemy who is ruthless and is the source of all human suffering. And unfortunately we must fight against this tyranny and oppression in the spirit with the keys of the Kingdom you’ve given us. Help all your people who call themselves Christians to get off the sidelines and start warring in the spirit for nations and for people in Jesus' name. Amen.
- “And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].” (Matthew 11:12)

Stupidocrisy: Justifying Hate By Appropriating Christ's Love
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 27, 2023
The leftist crowd believing in various shades of Marxism (government is god) are appropriating Jesus Christ as a Palestinian Jew refugee born in an occupied land of terror. The history of Christ’s birth is being twisted by political heretics comparing the Christ to Palestinians who are justified in their terrorist acts against Israeli “occupiers.” Progressive (today’s socially acceptable term for Marxists or Communists) Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Christmas message said Jesus was born in a Palestinian territory occupied by a ruthless government bent on killing him, just like Palestinians are today. Her revisionist history is remarkably false, but it’s not lost on other people who should know better.
Ocasio-Cortez posted on social media: “In the story of Christmas, Christ was born in modern-day Palestine under the threat of a government engaged in a massacre of innocents. He was part of a targeted population being indiscriminately killed to protect an unjust leader’s power. Mary and Joseph, displaced by violence and forced to flee, became refugees in Egypt with a newborn waiting to one day return home. Thousands of years later, right-wing forces are violently occupying Bethlehem as similar stories unfold for today’s Palestinians, so much so that the Christian community in Bethlehem has canceled this year’s Christmas Eve celebrations out of both [fear for their] safety and respect.”

These 2023 science and exploration missions seemed like fiction
|
|
(CNN) — This year held some truly out-there moments in the world of science and space travel.
With SpaceX’s Mars rocket erupting into a ball of flames over the ocean (twice) and a spacecraft swinging by Earth to drop off pieces of an asteroid that could contain solar system secrets — some events felt ripped from the pages of a science fiction novel.
These moments came as humanity embarks on a new push to explore the cosmos, both with scientific instruments on the ground and spacecraft among the stars.
The renewed effort not only comes from NASA and the US government but also from countries such as India and China. And there’s massive investment from private-sector businesses across the globe as well, a unique feature of the 21st century space race.
Here’s a look back at some of the biggest pinch-me moments in outer space from 2023:
- The most powerful rocket ever constructed launches and explodes. Twice
- Moon landings: Failures and successes
- Leaking spacecraft forced an astronaut to spend a year in space
- Space tourism kicks into high gear
- NASA picked astronauts who will fly by the moon
- NASA releases its first UFO report
- OSIRIS-REx’s special delivery

Wife of Man Shot in Head While Street Preaching Reveals 'Miracles' Every Day
|
|
The wife of an Arizona man shot in the head last month while street preaching in Glendale, Arizona, said she and her family have witnessed a “miracle” every day after doctors initially assumed her husband wouldn’t survive the ordeal. Zulya Schmidt, wife of 26-year-old Hans Schmidt, told CBN Digital her husband continues to make stunning progress despite facing a litany of medical uncertainties. “We’re hopeful, and we’re praying, and we’re contending for a supernatural recovery,” Zulya Schmidt said. “But there’s just so much unknown still, so much uncertainty.”
She said there’s hope though, noting, “Every day we’ve been able to witness a miracle.” Schmidt called Hans’ progress “just amazing” and said he’s now able to understand a bit more of the situation he’s in after being shot on Nov. 15. She’s unsure exactly how much he comprehends because he’s unable to communicate, though he is increasingly aware of the circumstances he’s in. As CBN Digital reported, Hans, a 26-year-old dad of two, a military combat veteran, and the outreach director at Victory Chapel First Phoenix in Arizona was taken to the hospital on Nov. 15 on suspicion of having been assaulted. But a CT scan revealed he had been shot. Schmidt soon descended into serious condition, as his family prayed for a miracle, imploring others to do the same. (CBN) Read More Here

Let the Lower Lights Be Burning

Words and Music: Phillip Bliss
Scripture: Keep your lamps burning. Luke 12:35
Lyrics:
Brightly beams our Father’s mercy from His lighthouse evermore,
But to us He gives the keeping of the lights along the shore.
Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!
For to us He gives the keeping of the lights along the shore.
[or Some poor struggling, sinking sailor you may rescue, you may save.
Dark the night of sin has settled, loud the angry billows roar;
Eager eyes are watching, longing, for the lights, along the shore.
Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!
Eager eyes are watching, longing, for the lights, along the shore.
Trim your feeble lamp, my brother, some poor sailor tempest tossed,
Trying now to make the harbor, in the darkness may be lost.
Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!
Trying now to make the harbor, some poor sailor may be lost.
