Shin Bet busts Gaza-directed terror cell planning ‘major’ bombing in Israel
|
|
The Shin Bet security agency on Monday said it recently foiled an attempt by terror groups in the Gaza Strip to carry out a bombing attack in Israel using West Bank terror operatives
On December 14, security forces arrested four Palestinians in the West Bank over their involvement in the plot, and seized a primed explosive device, the agency said.
According to the Shin Bet, the attack plan was directed by the Popular Resistance Committees and al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades terror groups in the Gaza Strip. Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades is loosely tied to the Fatah party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, but also has members in Gaza. (Times of Israel) Read more

- Lord, we thank You that this plot was thwarted. We bind up these terror cells and their plans, and pray that all will be revealed prior to any actions. Let no harm come to Your people Israel, and bring justice along with repentance to all who oppose her.
- "And I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them, so that they may dwell in their own place and be disturbed no more. And violent men shall afflict them no more, as formerly, from the time that I appointed judges over my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies." (2 Samuel 7:10)

1. Exclusive: Intelligence Directorate to endorse Israeli push for new nuclear deal - Israel Hayom
Israel Hayom can exclusively report that the IDF Intelligence Directorate will likely advise the political echelon to take a proactive stance on Iran by proposing a new Iran nuclear deal that would replace the one that has unraveled, amid growing concern among Israeli officials over the Islamic republic's accelerated pace in its nuclear program.
Western intelligence agencies agree that Iran is already at the point where it could easily reach military-grade uranium enrichment levels of 90% purity and obtain the necessary quantities for a bomb within several weeks. Although the actual assembly of a bomb could take another two years, but the current state of affairs means that Iran is, for all intents and purposes, a threshold state with capability and know-how that cannot be rolled back without a deal.
The concern over Iran's rapid enrichment to high purity levels and the amassing of fissile material was the reason why the Biden administration's launched its efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, promising that under its new format it would be a longer and stronger agreement than the one reached by the Obama administration and from which the Trump administration pulled out of. The administration, however, later abandoned that effort in the hopes of just restoring the 2015 deal as is. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu government set for swearing-in Thursday, but hurdles remain - Times of Israel
Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu will attempt to swear in his governing coalition of far-right and ultra-Orthodox parties on Thursday, Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin said Monday, with the former premier looking to retake power before a deadline to get his unruly partners in line.
Levin formally informed the Knesset plenum on Monday of Netanyahu’s announcement last week that he could form Israel’s next government, starting a seven-day clock for the coalition of three far-right parties and two ultra-Orthodox parties, in addition to his right-wing Likud to be officialy sworn in.
Levin said that a hearing and confidence vote on the incoming government is slated for Thursday morning, though it can be delayed until the morning of January 2. (Read more)

4. 2,700-Year-Old Biblical Pool of Siloam in Jerusalem to Be Excavated, Opened to Public - Algemeiner
The 2,700-year-old Pool of Siloam in Jerusalem, an archeological site of “enormous significance” that was described in the bible, is set to undergo excavation work and be opened to visitors for the first time in the modern era, Israeli authorities announced Tuesday.
The pool was among the most critical sites in Jerusalem during the First Temple period, serving as a reservoir for water from the Gihon Spring, the main water source to the city. It was expanded towards the end of the Second Temple period, some 2,000 years ago, and is believed to have been used as a mikveh, or a Jewish ritual bath, by millions of pilgrims before their ascent to the Temple.
The excavation — announced by the Israel Antiquities Authority, the Israel National Parks Authority, and the City of David Foundation — will take place in stages, with visitors initially allowed to observe the archeological work. In later months, they will be able to access the pool through a route beginning at the south end of the City of David and ending by the Western Wall. (Read more)

5. Google fixes error after labeling 'Jew' as an offensive slur -Jerusalem Post
If you searched the word "Jew" on Google throughout the day on Tuesday, you might have been surprised to find that the definition given was an ancient antisemitic stereotype.
The word "Jew," according to this Google result with data derived from Oxford Languages, does not list someone as being a member of the Jewish people. Rather, it is listed as a verb marked offensive, defined as "to bargain with someone in a miserly or petty way."
Looking further after clicking "translations and more definitions," the Google result includes several conjugations of this verb, such as "jewed" and "jewing." It further reveals that the origin of the verb "Jew" is from the 19th century in reference to how Jewish people work with moneylending and trading. (Read more)

1. Judge denies Hobbs request to sanction Lake over Arizona election claims - The Hill
An Arizona judge on Tuesday rejected a request to sanction Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake (R) over her lawsuit challenging her defeat.
Maricopa County and Katie Hobbs (D), in her capacities as both governor-elect and secretary of state, had asked the judge to require Lake and her legal team to pay all parties’ attorneys’ fees, arguing the suit was groundless and made in bad faith.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson in Tuesday’s decision reiterated that Lake did not meet the burden of providing clear and convincing evidence of her claims necessary to win the case, but he said her suit did not meet the standard for imposing sanctions. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for Kari Lake as she fights to win over the corruption in her election. We pray for true justice, and the protection of her heart along the way.

2. Cartel Gunmen Brag on Social Media Showing Cocaine-Filled Airplanes - Brietbart
Cartel members are flaunting their activities on social media to offer insights into their world. On Christmas, a short video clip from inside a cockpit appears to show a small plane flying through Mexico.
The video shows the inside of a small propeller plane where the passengers present three rifles and then pan the camera out a window. A narco-song called Linea Directa plays in the background.
In the social media post, cartel members added the word “Mayiza,” referencing the Sinaloa Cartel faction led by Ismael “El Mayo Zambada. A date for the recording is unclear. (Read more)

3. Farmer predicts worse food shortages, higher prices in 2023 amid inflation, drought - Fox News
Drought, supply chain shortages and the rising cost of doing business led to a difficult 2022 for American farmers, but 2023 could be even worse, a fourth-generation dairy farmer said.
"I definitely think we have a food security threat," Stephanie Nash, a Tennessee farmer and agriculture advocate told Fox News. "I believe 2023 is going to be rough. Worse than this year."
Food prices have been outpacing overall inflation in 2022 as November food prices showed a 10.6% increase compared to last year, while overall inflation hit 7.1%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. (Read more)

- Lord, we plead with You for mercy over not just America, but the world over food shortages and high food prices. We ask that You provide for the farmers and bring repentance to those who do not know You, as well as the removal of those who hate You. We ask that You cover farmers with Your grace and peace.

4. The EPA’s Latest Regulation Could Devastate The Trucking Industry - The Daily Caller
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a rule Tuesday that will impose stricter nitrogen dioxide emissions standards on new heavy-duty trucks, a move that will substantially hike operating costs for truckers, experts and industry representatives told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The EPA’s rule, which is more than 80% stricter than the previous regulation, will require large trucks, delivery vans and buses manufactured after 2027 to cut nitrogen dioxide emissions by nearly 50% by 2045, according to an agency press release. The agency’s rule is intended to push truckers to phase out diesel-powered vehicles and use electric vehicles (EV) instead; however, the compliance costs associated with such rules could suffocate an industry that is not ready to transition to EVs, experts told the DCNF.
The new rules are intended to phase out older trucks that emit more nitrogen dioxide and will push drivers to purchase electric trucks or newer models of diesel trucks that do not produce as much nitrogen dioxide when they burn fuel, according to the EPA. (Read more)

|
- Lord, we stand in the gap for all of our essential industries, including trucking, who deliver our food and goods. Electric vehicles do not travel far enough to be feasible for long-haul truckers. We pray that You will open a pathway for truckers to bypass this new rule and allow these services to continue to operate in spite of the EPA. Let a massive move of Your Spirit bring repentance and freedom from regulations.

5. How Twitter Rigged the Covid Debate - DML News
Monday morning, a new set of details were released by journalist David Zweig, this time on how Twitter controlled information about Covid-19, including censoring and discrediting any medial professionals whose posts didn’t abide by the “approved” CDC messaging.
THE TWITTER FILES: HOW TWITTER RIGGED THE COVID DEBATE
– By censoring info that was true but inconvenient to U.S. govt. policy
– By discrediting doctors and other experts who disagreed
– By suppressing ordinary users, including some sharing the CDC’s *own data*
Internal files at Twitter that I viewed while on assignment for @thefp showed that both the Trump and Biden administrations directly pressed Twitter executives to moderate the platform’s pandemic content according to their wishes.
6. At the onset of the pandemic, according to meeting notes, the Trump admin was especially concerned about panic buying. They came looking for “help from the tech companies to combat misinformation” about “runs on grocery stores.” But . . . there were runs on grocery stores. (Read more)

- Lord, we knew there was a problem with the Covid narratives, and now it has been revealed. We ask for justice, for redemption, for all things hidden to be revealed in a manner that all can see and hear.

Government Censorship
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 27, 2022
Journalist Matt Taibbi continues to release Twitter Files that document how the federal government coerced Twitter to censor stories that impacted the 2020 presidential election. It also is evident that Twitter personnel were all too eager to withhold information from the Twitter platform at the government’s suggestion. As an example, Taibbi writes, “The files show the FBI acting as doorman to a vast program of social media surveillance and censorship, encompassing agencies across the federal government – from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA…Twitter had so much contact with so many agencies that executives lost track. Is today the DOD, and tomorrow the FBI? Is it the weekly call, or the monthly meeting?”
All along, especially when the Hunter Biden story came out, media outlets and social media refused to carry it, saying it was a Russian disinformation campaign. Turns out, it was a true story as many of us who are real journalists were trying to convey, but were being stonewalled. When President Trump said the “deep state” was trying to sway and control America, he was spot on correct. And even if Trump’s efforts to drain the deep state swamp were unsuccessful, this remains an issue that every American should be outraged. Americans must demand an end to the powers assumed by these agencies that interfere with and frustrate Constitutional freedoms such as freedom of speech, of religion, of bodily autonomy. Read More

HAARP is about to Ping a Near-Earth Asteroid
|
|
Researchers from NASA and the University of Alaska are about to perform an unusual radar experiment. They're going to ping a near-Earth asteroid using shortwave radio. The target is a 500-ft-wide space rock named "2010 XC15." When it passes by Earth on Tuesday, Dec. 27th, the HAARP array in Alaska will hit it with a long pulse of 9.6 MHz radio waves.
Radio astronomers ping asteroids all the time. What's unusual about this experiment is the frequency: 9.6 MHz is hundreds of times lower than typical S-band and X-band frequencies used by other asteroid radars. The goal is to probe the asteroid's interior.
Lead investigator Mark Haynes of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) explains: "The low frequencies we are using can penetrate the asteroid, unlike S-band or X-band frequencies which reflect mostly off of the surface. Ultimately the idea is to use echoes to form tomographic images of asteroid interiors."
Knowing the internal structure of an asteroid could come in handy -- especially if you need to destroy it. 2010 XC15 poses no threat 770,000 km from Earth. Tomorrow's experiment is proof-of-concept for a scarier object: Asteroid Apophis, which will buzz Earth closer than many satellites on April 13, 2029. If shortwave asteroid radar works for 2010 XC15, it should work for Apophis, too, giving planetary defense experts key data about the asteroid's vulnerabilities. Read More

Spoken Worldwide completes first New Testament using oral methodology
|
|
At the recent Every Tribe, Every Nation Summit, Spoken Worldwide was recognized as having completed the first-ever New Testament translation using an oral methodology. The text is arranged to be read aloud easily and naturally. Then, it is recorded and sent to the people who can use it. Ed Weaver says this is a Sudanese Arabic translation. “There are many speakers of Sudanese Arabic, maybe 30 million worldwide. There are probably at least a million Christians. So there were a lot of people that are highly educated and could be involved in Bible translation. But it is still a very difficult language to navigate in terms of geography, hostility to the Gospel, etc.”
Sudanese churches have responded, saying it’s the best translation they’ve ever had. They use it in Bible studies, as well as outreach events. How did Spoken put together this translation? Weaver says historically, people would create an entire alphabet before writing a Bible translation. “We’re not going to spend money or time to create an alphabet. We’re going to take the language as it exists today, and we’ll go ahead and translate it without the intent of it hitting a written page.” Weaver says the Spoken translation goes through the Bible, not verse-by-verse, and instead captures continuous thoughts of the passage, allowing for an oral process of communication to make natural connections between thoughts and ideas. “It’s hard to separate out verse by verse in an oral method."
This inherent naturalness of construction allows people to easily remember a passage and interact with the concepts of Scripture with minimum interference that can arise from unnatural information presentation. Using John 3:16, Weaver gave an example of how an oral translation might sound different, just by using vocal emphasis in his delivery. “I think we would say, ‘God so loved the world . . . that He gave His only Son . . . so that whoever believes . . . will not die.’ So that would be an example of how you would deliver the passage’s meaning. And it would be accurate. We would not add anything or take anything away from it. Praise God for the Sudanese churches and their use of this new translation. Pray they will be strengthened.
