Texas Governor Signs Law Giving Police Power to Arrest Illegal Immigrants
|
|
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has signed a border security bill into law that will give state law enforcement broad authority to arrest migrants who have entered Texas illegally and will allow local judges to order such migrants out of the country.
The Dec. 18 move by the Republican governor puts into place one of the nation’s strictest immigration laws and sets up a clash with the federal government, which has authority over immigration policy. Under the new rules, all law enforcement officials in the state of Texas, including those who are hundreds of miles from the border, would have the authority to detain migrants suspected of entering the nation illegally.
Because the offense is considered a misdemeanor, the judge has the authority to order the defendant to leave the country.

“Biden’s deliberate inaction has left Texas to fend for itself," Mr. Abbott said in a bill-signing ceremony at the border wall in Brownsville, Texas.
Separately on Dec. 18, U.S. Customs and Border Protection temporarily shut down two railroad border crossings in Texas to shift officers to help process migrants. Rail operators said the closures at Eagle Pass and El Paso would hamper trade ahead of Christmas. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Lord God, we thank you for this righteous and justice decision by this governor in Texas! Every officer in every state should have the ability to report someone’s legal status as they are law enforcement. We thank You that this will catch on, and that more states will do this to bring accountability and responsibility to those that break the law, in Jesus' name amen.
- “For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.” (Deuteronomy 30:16)

GOP holds up Ukraine aid, asking painful questions
|
|
Republicans are complaining that neither U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration nor Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could tell them how Ukraine might win the war with Russia or what plan the administration had for Ukraine going forward.
Nor were the Republicans happy that no progress was made with the administration on their demand for strong Mexican border security. So far the result is that the measure in question is stalled in both houses of Congress. Legislation won’t be taken up again until after the Christmas and New Year’s break, if then.
The Biden administration’s Ukraine problem, however, goes deeper than just funding. Legislators now understand that the war cannot be won and are wondering whether the administration hasn’t gotten itself in a trap by supporting Zelensky.
In a nutshell, supporting Zelensky in a no-win scenario seems a bad idea to many.
No serious military leader has advanced the thesis that Ukraine can win against Russia, despite assurances given for months by Kiev and the administration that it could. Lawmakers who listened to these arguments for the past two years now realize that the administration duped them. (Center for Security Policy) Read more here.

- Lord, we thank you for this righteous and just decision to ask questions and try to spend American tax pay dollars wisely, and not wastefully. We pray Lord, that the right decision would be made in this matter. We pray that there would be accountability and responsibility for how our money is spent, and where it goes. We pray that there would be greater transparency on what is in this funding. In Jesus' name, amen.

Poison pill in 2024 defense bill holds the military hostage to domestic spying
|
|
The Firm has inserted a last-minute poison pill in the legislation to spy on American citizens while funding our Armed Forces.
Senate Democrats and their Republican conferees have agreed to hold our military hostage to an extension of a domestic spying law that has allowed the FBI to stomp Americans’ rights through warrantless surveillance.
“The Firm” is Sen. Mike Lee’s term for the intelligence-industrial complex of the politicized FBI and its parent Department of Justice, the foreign intelligence community, contractors who make their livelihoods from them, and compromised lawmakers and staff.
The Utah Republican, a constitutional lawyer, has been warning that the law to keep our military running in 2024, the National Defense Authorization Act or NDAA, will also extend a law that the intelligence community has used to make warrantless searches of American citizens.
The FBI has committed these abuses “not just sporadically and by accident but quite deliberately and on hundreds of thousands of occasions,” Lee writes in one of his many carefully reasoned arguments.
The Firm inserted renewal of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, with its notorious Section 702 on electronic surveillance, into the Defense bill. (Center for Security
Policy) Read more here.

- Lord God, we are appalled that this is even a current policy that the FBI holds that they are legally able to do this to American citizens. Our country has been built upon principles that protect us from these types of surveillances and it is still happening. So Lord, we just ask you for strength and we ask you for wisdom. We pray that our leaders would have wisdom and that a plan would be established that could fund our military without harming our rights. In Jesus' name, amen.
“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”
(Galatians 6:10)

3. Israel ready for Gaza humanitarian pause, release of hostages - Herzog - Jerusalem Post
Israel is prepared to hold another humanitarian pause in Gaza to advance the release of more Gaza hostages, President Isaac Herzog told heads of foreign diplomatic missions at a briefing on Tuesday.
Herzog, joined in the briefing at the President’s Residence by COGAT’s Civil Department head, Col. Elad Goren, said that bureaucracy is stifling humanitarian aid to Gaza’s civilian population.
He said the number of trucks passing through daily could easily be tripled if bureaucratic differences with Israel’s partners could be resolved. Herzog added that he had personally inspected some of the products being sent into Gaza and found them lacking quality. He asked the ambassadors of all the countries that supply humanitarian aid to Gaza to ask their governments to improve the quality. (Read more)

4. Security Council set for Gaza ceasefire vote after delay to seek text US won’t veto - Times of Israel
UNITED NATIONS — The UN Security Council delayed until Tuesday morning a vote on an Arab-sponsored resolution calling for a halt to hostilities in Gaza that would allow for urgently needed aid deliveries to reach a massive number of civilians as members intensified negotiations to try to avoid another veto by the United States.
The council said Monday’s vote, which had been scheduled for 5 p.m., would not take place, and diplomats said negotiations were taking place to get the United States, Israel’s closest ally, to abstain or vote “yes” on the resolution.
The draft on the table Monday morning called for an “urgent and sustainable cessation of hostilities” for humanitarian access to deliver aid. But this language is expected to be watered down to a “suspension” of hostilities or something possibly weaker to satisfy the Americans, the diplomats said, speaking on condition of anonymity because discussions have been private. The South African government has threatened citizens who enlist in the Israel Defense Forces that they could face prosecution.

It added that “such action can potentially contribute to the violation of international law and the commission of further international crimes, thus making them liable for prosecution in South Africa.” (Read more)

1. IDF suggests aid stolen after finding $1.3M in cash in suitcases at home of senior Hamas member - New York Post
The Israeli Defense Forces have seized more than $1.3 million in cash found inside a pair of suitcases at the home of a senior Hamas member in northern Gaza, officials said.
Members of the IDF’s Multidomain Unit were in the active Jabaliya area as they continued advancing in the few remaining strongholds of northern Gaza when they came across the cash, valued at 5 million NIS, the currency used in the Palestinian enclave and Israel, the IDF said.
The money was located in the home of a top Hamas member and is equal to the total amount seized from the terrorists from Oct. 7 to the end of November, according to the Israeli military.
“These funds—found inside a senior Hamas terrorist’s residence— were designated for terrorist activity,” the IDF wrote on X Monday.
“What could this money have been used for? Provisions of clean water, electricity and fuel for the residents of Gaza,” the IDF added, appearing to suggest the money was looted from Gaza’s aid fund. (Read more)

- Thank You, Father, for showing this evidence of misappropriation of funds that were sent to Gaza to feed the hungry people. Holy One, this is so appalling to see the people living in such abject poverty, not even having bicycles or vehicles, but mules and hand-made wooden carts, while the terrorists have incredible wealth, resources and underground infrastructure. Holy King, we pray for these enemies to be delivered completely into the hands of Your justice and the funds used to help the impoverished ones that it was originally meant for, in Jesus name.

2. FBI Secretly Recorded Joe Biden’s Brother As Part Of Bribery Probe: REPORT - The Daily Caller
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) secretly recorded conversations featuring President Joe Biden’s brother, James Biden, as part of a bribery probe into a Mississippi attorney who once paid $100,000 to James Biden’s consulting firm, according to a new report.
The FBI taped James Biden during a bribery investigation of Mississippi trial attorney Richard Scruggs who paid James Biden’s Lion Hall group $100,000 in 1998 to help obtain his brother’s support for tobacco-related legislation under consideration by Congress, the Washington Post first reported Saturday.
“I probably wouldn’t have hired him if he wasn’t the senator’s brother,” Scruggs told the Washington Post. Then-Delaware Democratic Sen. Joe Biden ended up supporting the tobacco legislation that ultimately failed to pass.
“Jim was never untoward about his influence,” Scruggs added. “He didn’t brag about it or talk about it. He didn’t have to. He was the man’s brother.” (Read more)

- Holy One, we bless You as we see You continue to expose truth and reveal the hidden things of injustice within the sphere of Joe Biden. We pray for every bit of irrefutable evidence to come out in order to fully impeach him for criminal deeds and actions committed over the entire course of his infamous career, up to the present time, in Jesus name. We also call for the FBI to be compelled to act with justice and integrity according to the statutes administered by those responsible for oversight. We pray for righteousness to overcome the Biden house and repentance to bring everyone to their knees, that they would turn from their wicked ways and live, in Jesus name.

Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them. God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God." (Psalm 62:9-11)

The court is located in Los Angeles. During an initial court hearing, defendants learn more about their rights and charges against them, according to the Justice Department's website.

"Before the judge makes the decision on whether to grant bail, they must hold a hearing to learn facts about the defendant including how long the defendant has lived in the area, if they have family nearby, prior criminal record, and if they have threatened any witnesses in the case. The judge also considers the defendant’s potential danger to the community," the DOJ states. (Read more)

We thank You that this hearing will come forth quickly and that Your intentions in this matter will be done and Hunter will not be able to evade his time in court, in Jesus' name.

- Righteous King, we call for a complete shutdown of this raging, accusing spirit of intolerance, in Jesus name. We bind the hostilities, the aggression, and the offense, in Jesus name and we call for peace, repentance and reconciliation to fill the void. Amen.

5. Minnesota flag redesigned after old one deemed offensive to Native Americans - Washington Examiner
Minnesota's flag is getting a makeover following criticism that the state's current banner is offensive to Native Americans.
A state commission, the State Emblems Redesign Commission, chose the final design concept for the new flag on Friday, and it features an abstract image of Minnesota and a North Star with eight points, according to a report.
The State Emblems Redesign Commission was created via the state legislature in its previous session and was granted a $35,000 budget.
Two flags that were also under consideration were eliminated, and the 13-member commission will hold a meeting next week to choose a specific design of the new flag with a set structure and color variation, the report noted. (Read more)

We are a covenant nation submitted to Almighty Creator God and we cover Minnesota with the blood of Jesus and pray for a state flag that represents the heart and soul of this great state, in Jesus name.

6. Pope Francis allows priests to bless same-sex couples - DML News
Same-sex couples can now be blessed by Catholic priests, following formal approval from Pope Francis. A new document explaining the change in Vatican policy was released Monday, saying that “people seeking God’s love and mercy shouldn’t be subject to ‘an exhaustive moral analysis’ to receive it,” The Associated Press reported.
Francis sent a letter to two conservative cardinals in October, suggesting that such blessings could be offered under some circumstances if those receiving the blessing did not confuse the ritual with the sacrament of marriage.
The Catholic church reportedly still believes that marriage is only between a man and a woman, but the pope has stated that same-sex couples can still receive a ” blessing,” although not in any way connected to a civil union, or anything related to weddings. (Read more)

- Holy One, we call the Catholic church to stand in alignment with the Word of God and not compromise because of cultural pressures, in Jesus name. This church has traditionally been very strong in standing for their beliefs and this seems to be blurring the lines with morally fluid rhetoric. We pray for the people within this church to continue to follow the word of God and love the sinners and hate the sin, in Jesus name.

- Heavenly Father, this is a sad state of affairs to see this foundational corporation representing the greatness of our nation being sold to another country because they are so deep in debt that they cannot remain viable. We pray for Your purifying fire over this nation Lord, that You would burn off the greed and dissipation of financial resources and material wealth. May there instead be a deep cleansing and repentance in the people, under the Refiner's Fire and a release of revival fires to ignite a passion and return to You, O King, in Jesus name.
- "each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." 8. CCP-tied group is quietly fueling US-based climate initiatives: tax filings - Fox News
A climate-focused nonprofit with significant operations in Beijing has wired millions of dollars to fund climate initiatives and environmental groups in the U.S., according to tax filings first obtained by Fox News Digital.
While the Energy Foundation's financial filings indicate that the group is technically headquartered in San Francisco, a Fox News Digital review determined that the majority of its operations are conducted in China with a staff that boasts extensive ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Its recently filed tax form show the group, which refers to itself as "Energy Foundation China," contributed $3.8 million to initiatives in the U.S. like phasing out coal and electrifying the transportation sector.
"We are the richest energy nation in the world with respect to coal, oil and natural gas," he continued. "And yet the Biden administration and the environmentalists fueled by China are promoting policies that would increase our dependence on China, which controls all the minerals and materials needed for batteries and wind and solar, and curtail our production of oil and gas here at home." We declare their words and deeds to be mute, null and void, in Jesus name and that their data would reveal utter chaos or truth. We pray for our nation to stand strong against the internal and external threats to its very existence, in Jesus name. Amen.
- "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ, For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." More Christmas Jeer On COVID Vaccines
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 19, 2023
A December 6 University of Cambridge news release admitted there were dangerous immune responses to mRNA COVID vaccines, and that researchers were trying to fix the deadly problem using redesigned synthetic mRNA sequences to “produce their desired effects while preventing hazardous and unintended immune responses.” The Medical Research Council (MRC) Toxicology Unit at Cambridge found that unintended immune response due to “off-target” proteins occurred in one third of the vaccinated patients in its study. That’s what prompted the researchers to redesign the mRNA sequences for better results. Essentially, they added more synthetic genetic code to correct bad synthetic genetic code.
The release claims: “Researchers have discovered that misreading of therapeutic mRNAs by the cell’s decoding machinery can cause an unintended immune response in the body. They have identified the sequence within the mRNA that causes this to occur and found a way to prevent ‘off-target’ immune responses to enable the safer design of future mRNA therapeutics.” Senior author of the report, Dr James Thaventhiran, however, is contradictory, claiming the vaccines are safe while saying future safety must be ensured. He says, “Billions of doses of the Moderna and Pfizer mRNA vaccines have been safely delivered, saving lives worldwide. We need to ensure that mRNA vaccines of the future are as reliable. Our demonstration of ‘slip-resistant’ mRNAs is a vital contribution to future safety of this medicine platform.” Read More

Rescuers battle subzero temperatures as more than 120 killed by China’s deadliest quake in nearly a decade
|
|
At least 126 people were killed and hundreds more injured after an earthquake hit northwest China, state media reported Tuesday, as rescue teams scrambled to reach survivors in subzero temperatures.
The quake, China’s deadliest in nearly a decade, rocked Jishishan county in Gansu Province late Monday night, damaging houses and roads. Rescuers raced to search for survivors trapped under rubble, while residents rushed outdoors, huddling overnight in the bitter winter cold.
As of Tuesday morning, the quake has killed 113 people, injured 536 others and damaged more than 155,393 houses in Gansu, CCTV said. Rescue workers have pulled 67 people from the rubble and evacuated 685 others from the province, according to the state media outlet.
In the neighboring province of Qinghai, 13 people have died and 182 were injured, with 20 more still missing as of noon, according to local officials.
The quake struck just before midnight while many would have been sleeping in their homes. It measured 5.9 magnitude at a shallow depth of just over 6 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey. The China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) gave a slightly higher reading of 6.2 magnitude.
The epicenter is located close to the border between Gansu and Qinghai, a mountainous region on the eastern edge of the Tibetan plateau. The quake was followed by nine aftershocks at magnitude 3 and above as of the morning, according to the CENC.
The initial tremors lasted nearly 20 seconds and were felt in the provincial capital of Lanzhou 102 kilometers (63 miles) away, CCTV reported. Read More

‘Their Eternity Was Changed Forever’:
116 Soldiers Embrace Jesus After Church Steps Out in Faith
|
|
An Oklahoma pastor whose church recently made headlines after seeing 116 Army soldiers accept Jesus said the mass embrace of faith was the result of his congregation stepping out in faith and trusting in the Lord. Mike Keahbone, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Lawton, told CBN Digital his church normally puts on its annual Living Christmas Tree musical, a massive Christmas show, for one weekend during the holiday season. But this year, the church’s worship pastor, Xavier Abraham, wanted to do something a bit different. “[He] approached us with the idea of doing it two weekends in a row, and our immediate reaction was, ‘No way,'” Keahbone said. “Because it just takes so much to pull this thing together. I mean, you’re talking about a 39-foot tree, over a hundred thousand lights, and just the manpower it takes to assemble the tree, the manpower it takes to just perform the performance.” Plus, there’s the cast, and the orchestra, and all of the rehearsing. Logistically, Keahbone said a second weekend just seemed like an impossibility — until he thought deeper about Abraham’s request.
“What I heard in his heart was that he had really sought the Lord over it,” the pastor said. “And one of the things that I challenge our guys to do … our three pillars are to be Christ led, body engaged, and Gospel-centered, and so I challenge our team all the time — ‘Seek the Lord.'” Once the team started praying about adding another weekend to the production schedule, Keahbone said it became clear it was what God wanted. Suddenly, the pieces started coming together for something truly spectacular. “As soon as the announcement was made that we were going to be doing two different weekends, there was a man in our church who is retired from the military … but still serves on a civilian level,” he said. “And all of a sudden he started getting phone calls from the chaplains … asking about the tree.” These chaplains wanted to come to the Christmas show but the original weekend wouldn’t work with soldiers’ schedules; once they found out there was a second weekend available, momentum began to build. Keahbone said he and his team expected maybe 150 soldiers, but the group just kept on growing. (Faith Wire) Read More and Watch Interview. Go here.

Joy to the World
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Isaac Watts
Music: Lowell Mason
Scripture: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Psalm 98:4
Lyrics:
Joy to the world; the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her king:
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.
Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.
