Trump is blocked from appearing on presidential primary ballot by Colorado Supreme Court

The Colorado Supreme Court ruling is stayed until Jan. 4

The Colorado Supreme Court has disqualified former President Trump from appearing on the state's ballots in 2024.

The disqualification, which was made under the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, is related to the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Tuesday's 4-3 ruling is stayed until January 4 because of likely appeals. Three justices on the Colorado Supreme Court dissented.

"We do not reach these conclusions lightly," the court's majority wrote. "We are mindful of the magnitude and weight of the questions now before us. We are likewise mindful of our solemn duty to apply the law, without fear or favor, and without being swayed by public reaction to the decisions that the law mandates we reach."

Trump Campaign Spokesman Steven Cheung wrote in a statement that an appeal would be filed on Tuesday night.

"Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice. Democrat Party leaders are in a state of paranoia over the growing, dominant lead President Trump has amassed in the polls. They have lost faith in the failed Biden presidency and are now doing everything they can to stop the American voters from throwing them out of office next November," Cheung wrote.

"The Colorado Supreme Court issued a completely flawed decision tonight and we will swiftly file an appeal to the United States Supreme Court and a concurrent request for a stay of this deeply undemocratic decision. We have full confidence that the U.S. Supreme Court will quickly rule in our favor and finally put an end to these unAmerican lawsuits," he added. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Holy King, this decision based on an accusation that has yet to be proven in a court of law is insufferable at the least, and tyrannical at most.  We pray for this issue to be brought before the Supreme Court promptly and for a Constitutionally sound and upright ruling from the justices, who would be led by Almighty God.  We pray for the hearings to be clear and that President Trump's attorneys are divinely anointed to speak forth precisely the things that the Court needs to hear.  We thank You Father, for Your intervention on behalf of Your righteousness being upheld in this nation, in Jesus name.

- "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods.  How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked?  Selah."  (Psalm 82:1-2)

"And he commanded them, saying, 'Thus you shall act in the fear of the Lord, faithfully and with a loyal heart:  Whatever case comes to you from your brethren who dwell in their cities, whether of bloodshed or offenses against law or commandment, against statutes or ordinances, you shall warn them, lest they trespass against the Lord and wrath come upon you and your brethren.  Do this, and you will not be guilty.'"  (2 Chronicles 19:9-10)

Ketanji Brown Jackson slapped with ethics complaint over husband's income
Group says Supreme Court justice omitted portions of husband's income on disclosure forms for years

A conservative policy group has filed an ethics complaint against Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson for "willfully" omitting required income disclosures for years while serving on the federal bench.

The Center for Renewing America, a think tank led by former senior Trump White House official Russ Vought, sent a letter to the Judicial Conference with allegations that Jackson "willfully failed to disclose" required information about her husband’s malpractice consulting income for more than a decade.

The letter suggests that the Judicial Conference should refer Jackson’s possible ethics violations to Attorney General Merrick Garland for investigation and possible civil enforcement.

The letter notes that federal judges are legally required to disclose the "source of items of earned income earned by a spouse from any person which exceed $1,000…except…if the spouse is self-employed in business or a profession, only the nature of such business or profession needs be reported." - Holy One, we lift up to You this young woman who sits in a seat of great power and prestige over our nation and ask that You would be the One who speaks to her spirit, bringing truth, justice, repentance and righteousness.  There is ample evidence of wrong-doing that must be investigated in order for this high court to stand in a position of trust for the nation.  We ask that she receive the same consequences as any other citizen and that her willful disobedience, if not criminal lawbreaking, would be assessed fairly in a court of law.  We declare that she will have no cover or protection of darkness, but that she must stand in the light of truth, in Jesus name.

- "Also I will make justice the measuring line And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place."  (Isaiah 28:17)

Houthis vow to keep up attacks in key strait after US rolls out plan to shield ships

Houthi rebels in Yemen on Tuesday vowed to keep up attacks on ships passing through a vital Red Sea strait, declaring they would not be deterred by the announcement of an international naval coalition to protect the waters.

Mohammed Abdel-Salam, the Houthis’ chief negotiator and spokesman, issued the challenge a day after the US announced the naval protection coalition following a series of attacks that led several of the world’s leading carriers to announce they would bypass the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and instead sail the long way around Africa. At least one shipping company said it would continue to avoid the area Tuesday, and others indicated they may as well.

“The American-formed coalition is to protect Israel and militarize the sea without any justification, and will not stop Yemen from continuing its legitimate operations in support of Gaza,” Abdel-Salam wrote on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, referring to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip that began on October 7 when the Palestinian terror group carried out a devastating attack that killed over 1,200 people in Israel, mostly civilians. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- Father, we bind the plots and schemes of the Iranian-supported Houthis who are wreaking havoc in the shipping lanes of the Middle East, in Jesus name.  We pray for these rebels to be brought under authority of Your greater power and that there will be greater wisdom granted to those who wish to bring peace to the waterways, in Jesus name.  We pray for the spirit of God to flood Yemen and release dreams and visions upon these radicals and bring forth an overwhelming revival in this impoverished nation, in Jesus name.  We pray also for every item of terror and destruction that they have in their land to use will be useless, with all technology scrambled like Babel, for the glory of God.

- "'Be shattered, O you peoples, and be broken in pieces!  Give ear, all you from far countries, Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces.  Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.'"  (Isaiah 8:9-10)

Sirens were sounded shortly after midnight on Wednesday night in Kiryat Shmona and the nearby area.

At least eight rockets were fired from Lebanon. The city of Kiryat Shmona said that one of the rockets hit a building in the city. There were no injuries, but the building sustained damage.

The Hezbollah terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the rocket fire and said that "it is a response to Israel's continued damage to the villages and homes of the civilians."

2. Netanyahu to Hamas: ‘Surrender or die’ - World Israel News

Israel’s prime minister pushed back Tuesday on calls for Israel to wrap up its ongoing ground operation in the Gaza Strip, vowing to continue the war “until victory” has been achieved.

In a video statement released Tuesday evening, Netanyahu said Israel would not cave to pressure to prematurely end the fighting in Gaza, and called predictions of an impending cessation of hostilities “detached from reality.”

The war, Netanyahu said, will continue until Israel achieves its goals, including the “elimination” of the Hamas terrorist organization and the return of all Israeli captives held in the Gaza Strip. (Read more)

3. IDF says it’s nearing end of ground offensive in north Gaza, is fighting in new areas - Times of Israel

The Israel Defense Forces is nearing the end of its ground offensive in the northern Gaza Strip after dismantling most Hamas battalions in the area, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said on Wednesday.

The military has begun fighting Hamas in the Gaza City neighborhoods of Daraj and Tuffah, adjacent to Shejaiya, he said, nearly two months since the IDF began the ground offensive, which has focused largely on northern Gaza.

On the Hamas tunnel network found hidden beneath Palestine Square in Gaza City, Hagari said during a briefing that “senior Hamas members managed the fighting on October 7 [from the area].” (Read more)

4. Gallant in Eilat: If Houthis keep attacking, we’ll know what to do - JNS

If the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen continue to attack Eilat with missiles, the State of Israel will “know what to do,” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said during a visit to the Red Sea city on Wednesday.

The minister was briefed on operational and intelligence activities as well as the navy’s preparations in the face of aerial and maritime threats in the Red Sea, Gallant’s Office stated. He was accompanied by Israeli Navy commander V. Adm. David Saar Salama and boarded a Sa’ar 6-class corvette that was recently deployed to the area.

“The threat to freedom of navigation in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait [between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden], 2,000 kilometers from the State of Israel, is not only a threat to traffic to Israel, but also to international freedom of navigation in waters belonging to all countries,” said Gallant. 5. Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim Bans Israeli Cargo Ships From Docking at Ports - Algemeiner

Malaysia’s prime minister announced on Wednesday that cargo ships operated by Israel’s ZIM shipping company were banned from docking at the southeast Asian country’s ports.

“The Malaysian government decided to block and disallow the Israeli-based shipping company ZIM from docking at any Malaysian port,” Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said in a statement. He also clarified that the ban applied to any ship traveling under the Israeli flag.

Ibrahim added that any ships bound for Israel from Malaysia would be prevented from loading their cargoes.

“These sanctions are a response to Israel’s actions that ignore basic humanitarian principles and violate international law through the ongoing massacre and atrocities against Palestinians,” Ibrahim emphasized. (Read more)

1. Republican presidential candidates speak out against Colorado booting Trump from ballot, Ramaswamy makes huge pledge - DML News

Late Tuesday night, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis posted a statement on social media, speaking out against the ruling.
“The Left invokes “democracy” to justify its use of power, even if it means abusing judicial power to remove a candidate from the ballot based on spurious legal grounds. SCOTUS should reverse,” DeSantis wrote.

So far, just two Republican challengers to former President Donald Trump have spoken out in reaction to a bombshell ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court Tuesday evening that would ban Trump from the state’s GOP primary ballot next year.

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy released the following statement, condemning the ruling, and said if Trump is removed from the ballot, he will withdraw his name from that ballot as well.  He wrote:

“I pledge to *withdraw* from the Colorado GOP primary unless Trump is also allowed to be on the state’s ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley to do the same immediately – or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country.” (Read more)

- We thank you God for those standing up for what is right and showing it by their actions. We pray that more would be done to show unity in this situation -- that’s it’s not something to be celebrated, rather it is an attempt to silence the rights of the American people. We pray this evil would not prevail, in Jesus' name.

- “Stand up for what you know is right, and judge all people fairly. Protect the rights of the poor and those who need help.” (Proverbs 31:9)

2. Trump campaign releases statement after Colorado boots Trump from the state ballot - DML News

The Trump campaign has released a statement Tuesday evening, shortly after the Colorado Supreme Court booted Trump from the state’s Republican primary ballot under the 14th Amendment in a 4-3 ruling. The ruling came down just prior to Trump taking the stage at a Republican caucus event in Waterloo, Iowa.

“Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice.

“Democrat Party leaders are in a state of paranoia over the growing, dominant lead President Trump has amassed in the polls. They have lost faith in the failed Biden presidency and are now doing everything they can to stop the American voters from throwing them out of office next November….”  (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask that justice would be had in this crooked decision. We break down these efforts to silence the American people’s voice in Jesus' name. Our leaders are elected to represent us so they should let the people decide what they want. We ask this situation be turned around quickly, in Jesus' name.

- “Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.” (Proverbs 28:5)

3. New York will set up a commission to consider reparations for slavery - AP News

New York state will create a commission tasked with considering reparations to address the persistent, harmful effects of slavery in the state, under a bill signed into law by Gov. Kathy Hochul on Tuesday.

It comes at a time when many states and towns throughout the United States attempt to figure out how to best reckon with the country’s dark past, and follows in the footsteps of similar task forces established in California and Illinois.

“In New York, we like to think we’re on the right side of this. Slavery was a product of the South, the Confederacy,” Hochul, a Democrat, said at the bill signing ceremony in New York City. “What is hard to embrace is the fact that our state also flourished from that slavery. It’s not a beautiful story, but indeed it is the truth.” (Read more)

- Lord God it is so sad that New York has so many issues it’s facing that this is the last thing they should be worried about. We pray for unity for all the citizens of New York that every one would get along and band together to better their state. We pray this state would be restored to its former success, offering better opportunities to all who live there and to those who seek to be citizens of our great nation. We pray for every leader in the state that they would seek you for wisdom and guidance, in Jesus' name.

- “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” (James 4:10)

4. Former Jan. 6 committee chair confirms probe records sent to prosecutors investigating Trump - DML News

Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, chairman of the now-defunct House Jan. 6 Select Committee, has confirmed to Republican lawmakers that the panel sent records to prosecutors who have filed charges against former President Donald Trump, after initially saying he had not preserved such material.

Mr. Thompson, Mississippi Democrat, made the acknowledgment in a Dec. 13 letter to House Administration Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk, Georgia Republican, in response to Mr. Loudermilk’s request a week earlier.

Prominent X user and conservative Julie Kelly posted a copy of Thompson’s letter to Lowdermilk and wrote, “Bennie Thompson confirms in letter to @RepLoudermilk that rather than turn over all evidentiary materials produced by J6 committee, some files were instead given to Fanni Willis, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith and withheld from House Republicans.” (Read more)

- Lord, we knew this committee was nothing more than an excuse to investigate their opponent. We thank you for exposing this for what it is. We ask for justice to be done in this area. And that accountability would be had for all illegal activity involving this case, in Jesus' name. Amen.

- “I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” (Eccl. 3:17)

5. Federal judge orders documents naming Jeffrey Epstein's associates to be unsealed - ABC News

A federal judge in New York has ordered a vast unsealing of court documents in early 2024 that will make public the names of scores of Jeffrey Epstein's associates. The documents are part of a settled civil lawsuit alleging Epstein's one-time paramour Ghislaine Maxwell facilitated the sexual abuse of Virginia Giuffre. Terms of the 2017 settlement were not disclosed.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after she was convicted of sex trafficking and procuring girls for Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 in a Manhattan jail while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

Anyone who did not successfully fight to keep their name out of the civil case could see their name become public -- including Epstein's victims, co-conspirators and innocent associates. Judge Loretta Preska set the release for Jan. 1, giving anyone who objects to their documents becoming public time to object. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray over all those who have been victims of this trafficking ring that you would heal their hurts and trauma in Jesus name. We pray Lord that more would be exposed about those involved in this and that accountability would be had, in Jesus' name, amen.

- “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
6. US homelessness up 12% from 2022, hits highest level since 2007 - Fox Business

New data shows homelessness increased over the last year and reached its highest level since federal housing authorities began keeping a point-in-time count of homelessness in 2007.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released its annual Homeless Assessment Report with point-in-time (PIT) estimates. PIT estimates track the number of people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January.

The report found that over 653,100 people experienced homelessness on a single night in January 2023 – an increase of 12%, or 70,650 more people, compared to 2022. The 2023 homelessness figure is the largest number of people recorded as experiencing homelessness since the PIT reporting process began in 2007. (Read more)

- Lord God our hearts break at this news that there are so many broken and in need. We ask you Lord to show us what we can do to minister to those in need. Give us courage that the next time you see a homeless person, to pray for him or her. It’s our honor to pray for God to fill the needs of hearts that are having a hard time right now.

- “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.” (Proverbs 19:17)

7. Satanic display in Iowa’s capitol torn down: On the enduring hope and power of nativity scenes - The Daily Article

While it’s not unusual for nativity scenes to make the news around Christmastime, a different form of public display inside the Iowa state capitol building has made headlines in recent days. The Satanic Temple placed a statue of the pagan idol Baphomet and other satanic paraphernalia in the building’s rotunda near the capitol’s annual nativity scene.

While the scene has generated quite a bit of controversy from many of the state’s citizens, responses from the community have varied.
Governor Kim Reynolds called it “absolutely objectionable” while asking for prayer over the building. Rep. Jon Dunwell pointed out, “I don’t want the state evaluating and making determinations about religions.” Considering history has shown that when the government attempts to regulate religion, religion usually loses, he has a point.

Conversely, Michael Cassidy—who ran an unsuccessful campaign for Congress in Mississippi last year—responded by tearing the idol down yesterday. He’s since been charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. (Read more)

- Lord God we understand there are so many different beliefs and religions for people to choose from. But we know the truth that you are the God of all gods and King of Kings and Lord of lords. We pray Lord for all those lost that you would give them experiential knowledge of you. Give them dreams and visions of you Lord. We pray for opportunities to show and share the hope of the Gospel with others. Show us who we can invite this weekend to a Christmas Eve service to hear the Gospel. In Jesus name, amen.

- “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

8. Arizona rancher warns of 'terrorists' coming through the 'Ellis Island' of cartel smuggling - Fox News

A fifth-generation Arizona rancher echoed his Democratic governor's call for action on the Mexican border, telling Fox News he suspects the rampant illegal crossings and smuggling through his borderland ranch are the product of cartel-orchestrated "diversions" that draw federal authorities' attention.

Jim Chilton, who owns a large swath of land on the border near Arivaca, said he has not seen a border agent on his property in three months, contrasting that with the daily deluges of illegal migrants at points of entry and elsewhere that agents must instead attend to.

He said it is clear the cartels control all smuggling and pedestrian traffic on both the American and Mexican sides of the border, as the White House continues to refuse to enforce or strengthen immigration laws. “Our border is five and a half miles, but it's even more critical and dangerous than that. It is a possible terrorist operation," Chilton told "America Reports." (Read more)

- We plead the blood of Jesus over our borders and over our country and we tear down any satanic plot, scheme or plan for a terrorist attack that would bring destruction to our cities, states, and country right now in Jesus name. We pray Lord, that our leaders would get serious about this issue , because we all know that they have the power to stop a potential attack. We pray that our leaders humble themselves right now, turn to you and stick up for all Americans, in Jesus' name, amen.

- “So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin.”  (James 4:17)

Stupidocrisy: COVID Vax Christmas

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 20, 2023

I was in my football bliss watching games on Saturday last when what to my wondering eyes would appear was a big pharma ad for a COVID vax tying it to Christmas cheer! My immediate impression was that big pharma was trying to get people to show their loved ones that they really cared for them by getting a COVID vax for Christmas. It was a shock to my system. It passed by so quickly on the TV screen that there wasn’t time for it to register. Since then, I’ve been trying to find it on the internet because I thought I saw a disclaimer about how taking the vax could lead to certain heart conditions like myocarditis and pericarditis…be sure to ask your doctor to see if it is right for you.

After an extensive search on the internet, the holiday spot for Pfizer was found. I had really thought the ad I saw was from Moderna, but can’t seem to find it anywhere. The Pfizer holiday ad is 30 seconds and it’s called, “Holidays: Moments Like These.” It consists of powerful images of smiling faces, family hugs, an elderly woman joyfully dancing, football games, pumpkin pie, family gatherings, various Christmas trees and decorations, babies smiling, and folks using sparklers. All very upbeat with voices celebrating to an inspiring drumbeat in the background. It’s tagged with “Moments like these matter. Talk to your doctor and schedule the respiratory vaccines you may need from Pfizer.” Then it highlights COVID-19, RSV, and Pneumococcal Pneumonia. Read More

“Anyone who thinks we’ll stop is unmoored from reality… We’re raining fire on Hamas, hell fire,” he adds.

SEOUL, Dec 21 (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said Pyongyang would not hesitate to launch a nuclear attack if an enemy provokes it with nuclear weapons, state media reported on Thursday.

Kim made the remark as he met with soldiers under the military's missile bureau over its recent launching drill of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), KCNA news agency said.

"He (Kim) said that the resolute military activity conducted by the company this time ... was ... a clear explanation of the offensive counteraction mode and the evolution of the nuclear strategy and doctrine of the DPRK not to hesitate even a nuclear attack when the enemy provoke it with nukes," KCNA reported.

North Korea said on Tuesday it had tested its newest ICBM on Monday to gauge the war readiness of its nuclear force against mounting U.S. hostility, drawing condemnation from the United States and its allies.

Kim said Monday's launch demonstrated the military's high mobility and rapid attack capability, and called for efforts to further strengthen its combat efficiency, KCNA reported.

Why Some Volcanoes Just Keep Spewing Lava
Volcanic eruptions are a constant threat for people living on Iceland's Reykjanes peninsula. Italy's Mount Etna and Hawaii's Kilauea are just as active.

When the sky turns orange, it's a sight to behold — both spectacular and terrifying. It's a feeling that the people in Iceland's fishing town of Grindavik will find quite normal. They face an almost constant threat from the Fagradalsfjall volcano on the country's Reykjanes peninsula.

On December 18, 2023, an eruption began west of Fagradalsfjall, about 50 km (30 miles) south of the capital Reykjavik. It spewed lava and smoke more than 100 meters (330 feet) into the air, following weeks of seismic activity.

A month earlier, in November, shifting magma under the Earth's crust triggered hundreds of earthquakes around Grindavik.

Seismologists warned then that the quakes could be a precursor to a volcanic eruption and Grindavik's 4,000 inhabitants were evacuated.

Iceland is located between the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates, which is one of the largest on the planet, and because the two plates move in opposite directions, it is a hotspot for both earthquakes and volcanic activity.

How many volcanic eruptions are there each year?

Data from the Smithsonian Institution's Global Volcanism Program indicates there were 72 confirmed eruptions at some point during 2023 from 69 different volcanoes, and 22 of those were new eruptions started during the year. Read More

VA High Court Backs Teacher Fired Over School's Pronoun Policy - Now What?
In a landmark victory, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled Thursday to restore a lawsuit that alleges a high school teacher's free speech and free exercise of religion rights were violated when he was fired for saying he wouldn't refer to one of his biologically female students by male pronouns. The Commonwealth's high court ruling reversed a circuit court's decision to dismiss Peter Vlaming's case before evidence was heard. The ruling mandates that the case must move forward, heading back to trial in the circuit court. According to Virginia's Supreme Court ruling, Vlaming "cannot in good conscience 'use pronouns that express an objectively untrue ideological message.'" Vlaming stated in his lawsuit that his religion "prohibits him from intentionally lying" and that he "sincerely believes that referring to a female as a male by using an objectively male pronoun is telling a lie."

In the decision, a majority of the justices agreed Vlaming's rights were violated and the circuit court should not have been thrown out the case. In writing the majority opinion, Justice D. Arthur Kelsey stated the court's review of this case "seeks to protect diversity of thought, diversity of speech, diversity of religion, and diversity of opinions." He noted that the nation is a Constitutional Republic and "cannot be true to itself" if it doesn't allow people participating in the public marketplace of ideas to use their conscience. "Absent a truly compelling reason for doing so, no government committed to these principles can lawfully coerce its citizens into pledging verbal allegiance to ideological views that violate their sincerely held religious beliefs," Kelsey wrote. - Abba, we praise You for the decision from the Virginia Supreme Court to revisit this lawsuit. We decree that justice will prevail and favor will fall upon Peter Vlaming, who has not conformed to the ways of the world. May he be quickly vindicated and reinstated as a teacher. We praise You for the Justices who have clearly expressed an unfair violation against this teacher and ask that You would restore the years that the locusts have eaten!  In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen

- "Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds" (Ephesians 4: 17)
Thought for the Day
"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!"

(Psalm 34:8)
A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Words and Music: Charles Wesley

Scripture: A great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests. Luke 2:13–14

Lyrics:
Hark! The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King;
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!
Joyful, all ye nations rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th’angelic host proclaim,
Christ is born in Bethlehem!

Refrain
Hark! the herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King!

Christ, by highest Heav’n adored;
Christ the everlasting Lord;
Late in time, behold Him come,
Offspring of a virgin’s womb.
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
Hail th’incarnate Deity,
Pleased with us in flesh to dwell,
Jesus our Emmanuel.

Refrain
Hark! the herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King!

Hail the heav’nly Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Ris’n with healing in His wings.
Mild He lays His glory by,
Born that man no more may die.
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.

Refrain

Come, Desire of nations, come,
Fix in us Thy humble home;
Rise, the woman’s conqu’ring Seed,
Bruise in us the serpent’s head.
Now display Thy saving power,
Ruined nature now restore;
Now in mystic union join
Thine to ours, and ours to Thine.

Refrain

Adam’s likeness, Lord, efface,
Stamp Thine image in its place:
Second Adam from above,
Reinstate us in Thy love.
Let us Thee, though lost, regain,
Thee, the Life, the inner man:
O, to all Thyself impart,
Formed in each believing heart.
