Stop-Gap Spending Bill Approved by House, Moves to Senate
|
|
Congressional lawmakers voted to approve a short-term funding bill on Wednesday night that will last through Dec. 23, taking a step toward averting a partial government shutdown.
The one-week extension resolution ( pdf) passed in a 224–201 vote and will now head to the Senate to be considered. It will then be sent to President Joe Biden’s desk to be signed before midnight on Friday to avoid a shutdown. “This Continuing Resolution is a simple date change that keeps the government up and running as we negotiate the details of final 2023 spending bills,” Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), the Democratic chair of the House Appropriations Committee, said in a statement.
“I am encouraged by the agreement we have reached on a framework that provides a path forward to enact an omnibus next week. The House and Senate Appropriations Committees are working around the clock to negotiate the details of spending bills that will be supported by the House and Senate,” DeLauro added. (Read more)

Moscow Warns US Against Sending Patriot Missile Systems to Ukraine
|
|
Russia has warned the United States against equipping the Ukrainian military with Patriot air-defense missile systems, saying such a move could lead to “unpredictable consequences.”
“An information campaign has been launched in the United States about alleged preparations for sending cutting-edge air-defense systems to Kyiv,” Russia’s embassy in Washington said in a Dec. 15 statement. “If this is confirmed,” the statement added, “we will witness yet another provocative step by the [U.S.] administration that may lead to unpredictable consequences.”
Over the past week, several Western media outlets have reported that Washington was poised to provide Kyiv with advanced Patriot air-defense missile batteries. If the White House approves the move, it would be the most advanced U.S. surface-to-air missile system to be delivered to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in late February.

1.Netanyahu dangles peace with Saudis as key to resolving conflict with Palestinians - Times of Israel
Prime minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu says he intends to pursue peace with Saudi Arabia and posits that it could be the key to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Speaking to the Al Arabiya channel in an extensive interview, Netanyahu urges Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords.
“I think we face a possibility of not merely an expansion of the peace, I think we can have a new peace initiative that will form a quantum leap for the achievement of the resolution for both the Arab-Israeli conflict and ultimately the Palestinian-Israeli conflict,” he says. (Read more)

(December 15, 2022 / JNS) Israeli-Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Thursday to ensure that all members of his prospective government will act responsibly, saying that the buck stops with him because his political partners are joining him and not vice versa.
In an interview with NPR‘s “Morning Edition,” Netanyahu said that “coalitions make interesting bedfellows” and that “with power comes responsibility…and I certainly will ensure that that will be the case.”

A rare wooden box containing silver coins, likely hidden at the beginning of the Maccabean Revolt against the Greek Seleucids, was found in the Judean Desert near the Dead Sea, the Israeli government announced Tuesday just before Chanukah, which marks the Jewish victory over the Seleucids.

5. Israeli AI predicts heart failure in muscle inflammation patients with 80% accuracy - Times of Israel
Israeli researchers have built an artificial intelligence tool that analyzes ECG tests and predicts heart failure with high accuracy weeks before it happens.
The new technology is for sufferers of myositis — muscle inflammation — which elevates the risk of heart failure.
The physician who led the research, Dr. Shahar Shelly of Rambam Healthcare Campus, told The Times of Israel that it is the first AI tool built especially for this population. It analyzes heart patterns that are unique to them, and can bring about earlier detection than is currently possible, he said. (Read more)

1. The Nation is Watching: Trump Attorney Christina Bobb Discusses Kari Lake’s Historic Election Lawsuit and Upcoming Hearings – The Gateway Pundit
President Trump’s campaign attorney Christina Bobb joined The Gateway Pundit correspondent Jordan Conradson yesterday following Tuesday’s administrative scheduling hearing in Kari Lake’s historic case against the Rigged and Stolen 2022 Midterm Election.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people tuned in to watch the hearing live, causing technical difficulties on the Maricopa County Superior Court live stream. Leftwing Hack reporters began attacking conservatives for the delays.
“They have so much evidence, and I think, quite honestly, the nation is watching,” said Bobb.
The Gateway Pundit reported that Judge Peter Thompson tentatively scheduled a trial for next week, giving the County and Katie Hobbs until today to file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. Lake’s response to the motion is due on Saturday, and each side will have one hour for oral argument on December 19.
After the hearing, Kari Lake told The Gateway Pundit, “we are confident that, given the opportunity, we will expose this election for the sham it was.” Before the hearing, she sent out a press release highlighting critical findings from the lawsuit to nullify and overturn the election or hold a new election free from conflicts of interest.

3. The Albert Sensor Systems: How Govt and 501(c)3s Tracks Real-Time Election Data in 98% of the US-Put into Effect After Trump Won Election in 2016 – The Gateway Pundit
If the Federal government lied about their censorship, what other election initiatives are they lying about?
Let’s look at their program created to gain access to local election data.
Around 2011 DHS created their own intrusion detection system called the ALBERT Sensor. It’s part of the larger Einstein System that protects federal agencies from cyber risks. ALBERT is a “black box” server installed on a County’s network. It collects the traffic flowing on their election network and transmits this data to a nonprofit in NY. DHS selected this non-profit to monitor all the election data from across the United Sates. It is analyzed around the clock with the hope they can alert jurisdictions if they find any malicious traffic on their network. Few election networks had the system before 2016.
After Trump won his election, DHS wanted access to all local election systems. They quadrupled the number of ALBERT installations in the following two years by pressuring counties over Russian election interference. ALBERT Sensors are now in 98% of our nations election infrastructure. We call it a “black box” because the counties know little about the system. They are given no dashboard to see activity, no reports on what was captured, not even what ALBERT observed. ALBERT is free to a County, but they must sign an agreement that gives CISA access too. This includes info about hardware configurations and security settings.
Detractors say ALBERT has major weaknesses and can be hacked. (Read more)

With Sam Bankman-Fried now officially in custody for allegedly swindling his investors out of "at least $1.8 billion", questions have begun to swirl about whether or not campaign donations made by the former FTX CEO would be returned to the company, which is now trying to manage a bankruptcy.
In focus over the last few days has been campaign contributions that SBF made for President Biden's 2020 campaign.
When asked about whether or not the Biden campaign would return 2020 contributions from Bankman-Fried, "White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre wouldn’t say Tuesday whether President Biden" would ask aides to return the cash, the NY Post reported
Associated Press reporter Zeke Miller asked her: “The president received campaign donations [from Bankman-Fried]. Will the president return that donation? Does he call on all politicians … to return those funds?”
“So look, I’m covered here by the Hatch Act — [I’m] limited on what I can say and anything that’s connected to political contributions from here, I would have to refer you to the DNC,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre answered. (Read more)

5. Bahamian Govt Wants to Take Back $256 Million-Worth of Luxury Properties Bought by FTX Executives (With Other Peoples’ Money) – NewsTarget
Lawyers in the Caribbean archipelagic nation of the Bahamas say FTX founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and co-CEO Ryan Salame spent $256.3 million buying different properties in the country. Now, regulators want all of these properties returned to the state
The Bahamian officials went to a federal court in Delaware asking the court to dismiss FTX’s bankruptcy proceedings for its property subsidiary, FTX Property Holdings Limited.
Bahamian attorneys told the court that because all of FTX Property Holdings’ real estate was in the Bahamas and because “Bahamian law does not allow recognition of a foreign insolvency proceeding for a Bahamian company,” the bankruptcy proceedings for the subsidiary should be suspended
The Bahamian regulators added that FTX Property Holdings was only used to hold Bahamas real estate, and “has no real assets here, no creditors here, and it never has done business here.” Furthermore, they pointed out that Bahamian regulators were “able to trace the funds used for each purchase from an FTX Digital bank account” for all but three of the properties, where “we could not trace the flow of funds.” (Read more)

6. How Extreme Has the Dumbing Down of America Become: You Might to Brace Yourself for This One – The Economic Collapse
Everyone knows that the quality of education in our public schools is declining. We continue to fall behind the rest of the world, and this is particularly true in science and in math. Personally, I am a product of the public schools. I attended public schools all the way through high school, and I earned three degrees at public universities. And I have to admit that the quality of the education that I received was terrible. If I had not spent a great deal of time and effort educating myself, I would not be able to do what I do today. Sadly, things have gotten even worse in recent decades. Today, a large proportion of our young people are not even equipped to function on a very basic level in our society once they graduate from high school, and that has huge implications for the future of our country.
Instead of having our college students deal with hard stuff like quadratic equations, perhaps we can just design a course where they just watch videos of Count von Count from Sesame Street count things.
Or will that be too difficult for them?
If we aren’t teaching our high school kids the basic math skills that they will need once they get to college, what are they actually learning?
Well, one thing they are learning is how to use all of the new pronouns correctly. This is very important for life after high school, because using the wrong pronoun at the wrong time can get you into all sorts of trouble these days. (Read more)

7. Watch: Dem Rep Says Term “Pedophile” is Discriminatory – ZeroHedge
During a Congressional hearing on ‘anti-LGBTQ violence,’ a Democratic Representative parroted the same claim as several LGBTQ activists that the terms ‘groomer’ and ‘pedophile’ are discriminatory against sexual preferences and gender identity.
During the hearing before the House Oversight and Reform Committee, California Rep. Katie Porter asserted that the phrase “groomer” is a “lie” used to maliciously discriminate against LGBTQ+ people and make them appear to be a “threat.”
“You know, this allegation of ‘groomer’ and ‘pedophile,’ it is alleging that a person is criminal somehow and engaged in criminal acts merely because of their gender identity, their sexual orientation, their gender identity,” Porter claimed.
The Democrat then complained, with the aid of Human Rights Campaign (HRC) president Kelley Robinson, that Twitter allows the “dangerous” terms to be used. “This is not just about what happens online. What happens online translates into real harms in people’s lives,” Porter proclaimed. (Read more)

8. Fauci’s Replacement is no Better Than He Was: Signs Deal with CCP for More Bioweapons Research While Secretly Reversing Gain of Function Funding Ban – Pandemic.news
Career criminal Tony Fauci is finally done with his multi-decade stint in the deep state cesspool of Washington, D.C., but his temporary replacement, Dr. Hugh Auchincloss, is hardly any better – and is arguably even worse.
Auchincloss, the new for-the-time-being head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), is basically Fauci 2.0. He is already forging new partnerships with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for expanded bioweapons “research” programs, and reports indicate that he also quietly reversed the United States ban on gain-of-function research that is believed to have resulted in the creation of the Fauci Flu.
Gain-of-function, as you may recall, is the technology many believe was used, with approval from Fauci, to develop the Wuhan coronavirus, also known as Covid-19.
Previously Fauci’s “principal deputy director,” the second-most powerful position at the $6 billion agency, Auchincloss, who has been at the NIAID since 2006, appears to be cut from the exact same cloth as Fauci with a similar pro-CCP, pro-bioweapons agenda. (Read more)

9. Vaccinated People are Dying at “Incredibly High Pace” in Hyper-Vaccinated Australia – Pandemic.news
Australia has recently reported an alarming and “incredibly high” 13 percent excess death rate for 2022. The Australian government is now considering launching an urgent investigation into this rapid surge in the deaths among vaccinated people.
According to an analysis of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data by the Actuaries Institute, an additional 15,400 people died in the first eight months of the year in the Land Down Under. Actuaries said that number includes around one-third of those having no link to the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).
Karen Cutter, the spokeswoman for the institute’s COVID-19 Mortality Working Group, said the figures were an incredibly high number for mortality and it was not clear what was driving the spike.
“Mortality does not normally vary by more than one to two percent, so 13 percent is way higher than normal levels,” she said. “I am not aware [of anything comparable] in the recent past, but I haven’t gone back and looked [historically]. They talk about the flu season of 2017 being really bad, and the mortality there was one percent higher than normal. So it’s well outside the range of normal.” (Read more)

10. Biden Feels the Pressure on Migration Amid El Paso Crisis – The Hill
Two big developments are putting immigration front and center — and threatening to disrupt the momentum that President Biden and the Democrats had been enjoying in the wake of better-than-expected midterm results.
First, there has been a startling surge of migrants across the border at El Paso, Texas.
Second, the ending of Title 42 is imminent unless courts intervene at the last moment — a shift that is sure to see the high numbers of migrants at the border climb even higher.
Those developments, along with the inherently emotive nature of immigration, could complicate life for Democrats when they are otherwise enjoying a post-midterm boost and feeling optimism that inflation may be past its peak.
Even relatively moderate Republicans like Sen. Bill Cassidy (La.) are blaming the administration for the “crisis at the border.”

COVID Accountability

For nearly two years, scientists and healthcare professionals with dissenting views on the handling of the COVID pandemic have been censored and many lost their jobs. The Federal socialist healthcare system through the Centers for Disease Control and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services forced protocols that may have resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands and the vaccine injury of millions. Even today, these entities continue a massive propaganda campaign to encourage the use of these questionable practices and experimental serums. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) recognizes the need for accountability on these measures and is exercising his state’s rights to do something about them.
On Tuesday, December 13, DeSantis held a roundtable discussion joined by Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo and world-renowned physicians, researchers, and public health experts to discuss adverse events of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. To hold the federal government and Big Pharma accountable, DeSantis will establish a Public Health Integrity Committee to assess federal public health recommendations to ensure that Florida’s public health policies are tailored for Florida’s communities and priorities. Under the Radar, the Detransitioner Movement Is Surging
|

With the explosive phenomenon of gender dysphoria continuing to ripple across America’s youth, a related but much less highlighted trend is simultaneously occurring — a movement almost completely ignored by the mainstream media. New studies are now emerging showing that the “detransitioner” movement is far larger than what is commonly acknowledged, with detransition rates nearing 30% in some instances.
The phenomenon of “gender dysphoria” (the condition of being mentally distressed due to a perceived mismatch between one’s gender identity and one’s biological sex) has seen a colossal increase among children in the United States over the last five years. A recent investigation by Reuters found that a minimum of 121,882 minors in the U.S. between the ages of 6-17 were diagnosed with gender dysphoria between 2017 and 2021, while admitting that this is probably an “undercount.” In 2021 alone, they tallied 42,167 diagnoses, an almost 70% increase from the previous year.
But thousands of young women and men who once identified as the opposite sex — many of whom attempted a “gender transition” by ingested drugs and undergoing elaborate surgical procedures to impersonate the opposite sex — are now rejecting the transgender identity and are once again embracing their natural sex. Two Exoplanets May Be Mostly Water, NASA's Hubble
and Spitzer Find

A team led by researchers at the University of Montreal has found evidence that two exoplanets orbiting a red dwarf star are "water worlds," where water makes up a large fraction of the entire planet. These worlds, located in a planetary system 218 light-years away in the constellation Lyra, are unlike any planet found in our solar system.
The team, led by Caroline Piaulet of the Trottier Institute for Research on Exoplanets at the University of Montreal, published a detailed study of this planetary system, known as Kepler-138, in the journal Nature Astronomy today.
Piaulet and colleagues observed exoplanets Kepler-138 c and Kepler-138 d with NASA's Hubble and the retired Spitzer space telescopes and discovered that the planets could be composed largely of water. These two planets and a smaller planetary companion closer to the star, Kepler-138 b, had been discovered previously by NASA's Kepler Space Telescope. The new study found evidence for a fourth planet, too.
Water wasn't directly detected at Kepler-138 c and d, but by comparing the sizes and masses of the planets to models, astronomers conclude that a significant fraction of their volume – up to half of it – should be made of materials that are lighter than rock but heavier than hydrogen or helium (which constitute the bulk of gas giant planets like Jupiter). Bethel Church Members Putting Faith Into Action, Gain Political Power

The Bible demonstrates that God can use people in a variety of ways to affect change in the world. He established Esther, a Jew, as queen to a Persian king and used her position to save the Jewish people. Paul was a Pharisee with deep knowledge of the Law but was also a Roman citizen. He was granted access and rights that the other disciples did not have during his missions trips across the ancient world.
In modern-day America, Christians are needed in positions of authority and influence more than ever. With a society that is increasingly secular and anti-God in its behavior, Christians do not have the luxury of sitting on the sidelines expecting things to "just get better." Living up to the Word in James 2:14-26, members of Bethel Church in Redding, California, have stepped up to the plate and said, "here I am Lord, send me!"
As the election cycle was still being finalized at the end of November, results showed that there would be a majority of Bethel Church members elected to the Redding City Council. First-time candidate Tenessa Audette and second-time candidate Jack Munns were elected to two of the three vacant seats on the council this past election cycle.
Audette told television station KRCR that she was "super humbled" with her election and looks to bring honesty and a fact-based approach to the council. When asked what her goals were, she replied, "Transparency, communication."
