Pathway to the Image of the Beast: Real-time AI Analysis Could Fulfill Prophecy

Google has launched Gemini, a new artificial intelligence (AI) system that can seemingly understand and talk intelligently about almost any kind of prompt - pictures, text, speech, music, computer code and much more.
This type of AI system is known as a multimodal model. It's a step beyond just being able to handle text or images as previous ones have. And it provides a strong hint of where AI may be going next: being able to analyze and respond to real-time information coming from the outside world.
Although Gemini's capabilities might not be quite as advanced as they seemed in a viral video, which was edited from carefully curated text and still image prompts, it is clear that AI systems are rapidly advancing. They are heading towards an ability to handle more and more complex inputs and outputs.
To develop new capabilities, AI systems are highly dependent on the kind of "training" data they have access to. Divine Retribution? Turkish Lawmaker Threatens Israel, Immediately Has Heart Attack
|
|
Hasan Bitmez, a 53-year-old parliamentarian representing the Islamist Saadet (Felicity) Party, delivered an address at the General Assembly of the Turkish parliament on Tuesday accusing Israel of ‘crimes against humanity’ and ‘ethnic cleansing’ of Palestinians. He concluded by threatening Israel.
“We can perhaps hide from our conscience but not from history… Israel will not escape the wrath of Allah,” he said about Israel’s war against Hamas. “You will not escape the wrath of Allah,” Bitmez said, adding “I salute you all.”
He then collapsed at the podium. MP Dr. Turhan Çömez began giving him CPR on the floor of the Assembly before Bitmez was carried to an ambulance on a stretcher. According to Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, Bitmez was hospitalized and his condition was listed as “extremely critical and serious.”

Turkish lawmaker who suffered heart attack after saying Israel will suffer 'the wrath of God' has died
|

A Turkish lawmaker, who suffered a heart attack on the floor of parliament immediately after he gave a speech saying Israel would "not be able to escape the wrath of God" for its war in Gaza, has died.
Hasan Bitmez, 53, a member of parliament from the Islamist Saadet Partisi, or Felicity Party, died Thursday at the Ankara City Hospital, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced. The death came days after Bitmez collapsed at the Turkish Grand National Assembly on Tuesday immediately after criticizing the Turkish government’s policy regarding the Israel-Hamas war.
In a translated version of his speech on Tuesday, Bitmez said, "Even if history remains silent, the truth will not remain silent. They think that if they get rid of us, there will be no problem. However, if you get rid of us, you will not be able to escape the torment of conscience. Even if you escape the torment of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of God." More Than 70 Terrorists Surrender in Beit Lahiya
|

Over 70 terrorists laid down their weapons and surrendered to Israeli forces during an operation in the area of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces said on Thursday afternoon.The arrests were made after soldiers located a building used by Hamas operatives and a “military” officer, fought with the terrorists and killed several of them.
Battles continued to rage in Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood and in Jabalia, also in the northern Gaza Strip, where “many terrorists” were killed, and in Khan Yunis in the south over the past day, the IDF said earlier on Thursday.In Shejaiya, soldiers searched a school complex “that served as a central focus of the fighting of the Hamas
Shejaiya Battalion,” killing terrorists and destroying terrorist infrastructure in the compound. In the Khan Yunis area, soldiers found weapons and grenades and destroyed two tunnel shafts, a rocket launch pit and a weapons warehouse. (JNS.org) Read more here. |

1. ‘Our soldiers did not fall in vain,’ Netanyahu tells Sullivan in Tel Aviv - JNS
The more than 450 Israeli soldiers who have been killed fighting the Hamas terrorist organization “did not fall in vain,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Tel Aviv on Thursday.
“I greatly appreciate the U.S. support for Israel—in supplying munitions to the IDF, curbing the attempts at the United Nations to stop the fighting, and in assisting the return of our hostages,” Netanyahu stated following a meeting with Sullivan at Israel’s Kirya military headquarters.
“I told our American friends: our heroic warriors did not fall in vain. From the deep pain of their falling, we are more determined than ever to continue fighting until Hamas is eliminated—until complete victory,” added the premier. (Read more)

2. Gallant to Sullivan: Israel needs more than several months to destroy Hamas - JNS
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told visiting U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Thursday that the war against Hamas in Gaza will continue for several months during discussions held at Defense Ministry Headquarters in Tel Aviv.
Gallant told Sullivan that Hamas “is a terrorist organization that built itself over a decade to fight Israel and built infrastructure under the ground and above the ground, and it is not easy to destroy them. It will require a long period of time; it will last more than several months, but we will win, and we will destroy them [Hamas]. So thank you once again for coming to Israel, for helping us and for supporting us.”
During their meeting, Gallant and Sullivan discussed operational developments in the Gaza Strip and at the border with Lebanon, as well as the need to enable Israeli citizens to return to their homes in the north, according to the Defense Ministry. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu to Red Cross: 'You have every right and expectation to pressure Hamas' - Israel National News
President Isaac Herzog met this evening with the president of the International Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric. He later posted about the meeting on X:
“I met this evening, with the ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric and told her about the painful meeting I had just held with the families of the hostages. I reiterated our firm demand for the immediate return of all the hostages held captive in Gaza for 70 days by cruel Hamas terrorists - without being allowed visitation by the Red Cross or the provision of life-saving drugs.”
“In our conversation, the President of the Red Cross pledged that the swift return of the hostages is a top priority. She reviewed a series of actions and humanitarian steps they are taking to try and ease the suffering of the hostages and to see them returned to their families. 4. ‘IDF protects civilians more than almost any other army,’ says Biden spokesman - World Israel News
U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby praised Israel’s military Wednesday for protecting Gazan civilians more than almost any other army would, including America itself.
Referring to a grid of the Gaza Strip that the IDF issued two weeks ago that divided the enclave into hundreds of mini-combat zones so that it could warn those who live in specific areas to flee before its forces enter to clear them of Hamas terrorists, Kirby told journalists, “They have published online maps of places where people can go or not go. That’s basically telegraphing your punches!”
“There are very few modern militaries in the world that would do that. I don’t know that we would do that.”
Kirby also told the press briefing that, following American advice, Israel has worked to reduce civilian casualties by carrying out fewer airstrikes in the southern part of the Strip now than it had directed at the northern section at the beginning of the war. Even in the north, he noted, the IDF “mov[ed] in on the ground in a smaller way than they had previously planned to do.” (Read more)

5. Alleged Hamas Terrorists Planning Attacks on Jewish Targets Arrested in European Police Operations - Algemeiner
Seven alleged Hamas suspects were arrested on Thursday during police operations in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands while planning terrorist operations against Jewish targets in Europe.
Three of the suspects were arrested in Berlin after they collected weapons from a depot, according to a statement from the office of Germany’s Federal Prosecutor General. A fourth man was arrested in the Dutch city of Rotterdam and will be extradited to Karlsruhe in Germany, where all four will appear before a federal judge who will decide whether to detain them ahead of their trial. In addition to the arrests, police in Berlin also carried out searches of five apartments and a restaurant.
The remaining three men were arrested in Copenhagen, according to a statement from Denmark’s PET security agency. Chief Inspector Flemming Drejer of the Danish police said the three would be charged with terror offenses. (Read more)

1. The West is Taking Draconian Measures to Silence Free Speech – Prophecy Newswatch
Western culture has valued free speech as a necessary check on overreaching centralized power for centuries. Yet we're watching the ability to speak freely disappear before our eyes. Imagine going to federal prison for a meme.
Douglass Mackey, also known by his Twitter name Ricky Vaughn, is going to jail for memes mocking Hillary Clinton back in 2016. He made fake memes telling people to vote from home via text messages. Mackey insisted in court that he was just joking around. He didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to actually fall for it.
But never underestimate the power of stupid! At least 4900 people did call the prank number to vote for Hillary. The federal government did not find it funny and sentenced Mackey to seven months in prison.
What's happening in Ireland is even worse.
This is bad, but it's mild compared to what Ireland has planned. In November 2022, the Criminal Justice (Incitement to Violence and Hatred or Hate Offences) Bill 2022 was initiated in Ireland's legislature. Section 10 (1) (a) states that a person will be found guilty of an offense if he "prepares or possesses material that is likely to incite violence or hatred against a person or a group of persons on account of their protected characteristics or any of those characteristics with a view to the material being communicated to the public or a section of the public, whether by himself or herself or another person."
These incredibly vague and potentially broad offenses can land individuals jail time and hefty fines. (Read more)

2. Behind the Biggest Nurse Exodus in 40 Years – The Epoch Times
The movement of nurses away from hospital employment may the most damaging healthcare workplace impact of the pandemic, a report shows. A 40-year record high of 100,000 nurses left their jobs in 2021, according to a study
published in Health Affairs Forefront in April 2022.
The study noted that the exiting nurses were primarily younger, rather than the expected age group of above 50. "A sustained reduction in the number of younger age [nurses] would raise ominous implications for the future workforce," the study stated.
A report by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing published in October 2022 blames the losses on general trends such as retirement, a lack of education and training for replacements, and the rapid growth of an aging population that requires health care services.
Several nurses who spoke to The Epoch Times largely blame the exodus on the corporatization of health care and the vaccine mandates imposed on nurses. Then, came the pandemic and, with it, a slew of new requirements.
“Not only were nurses having to take on a huge load of patients, but they were also being told to do things that they didn’t feel right about,” Ms. Ricks said. “Then, they were being told they had to be vaccinated or they would lose their job.” The vaccine mandate “was the straw that broke the camel’s back," Ms. Ricks said. - Lord Jesus, please come to the rescue of these beleaguered nurses and other healthcare professionals who are understaffed and being guided by principles of a business model instead of sound medical practice. Thank You that the vaccine mandate has become a focus of one of the problems of staffing hospitals. We pray for those who are running medical facilities so that they will see their primary job as patient care and decision making based on true science rather than too much on profit. 3. Musk’s Starlink Breaks Through Bureaucracy and Corruption in Africa – The Epoch Times
Elon Musk’s faster, cheaper Starlink satellite internet service is growing in popularity in Africa but some governments are still resisting it. Elon Musk’s revolutionary satellite internet service, Starlink, is spreading across Africa, flying in the face of repressive and corrupt regimes that are trying to block it.
In some cases, African companies are "illegally" importing and selling the equipment to allow users to bypass expensive and often state-controlled internet service providers (ISPs), and to use the cheaper and faster connectivity provided by the world’s richest man.
Many Africans living in countries where authorities haven't yet granted regulatory licenses to Starlink, which is a division of SpaceX, are also accessing its services using signal-boosting equipment. The signal boosters enable users to link to a SpaceX "ground station" in Nigeria, which in January became the first African country to grant regulatory approval to Starlink services.

4. Republicans to Launch Contempt Proceedings After Hunter Biden Defies Subpoena – The Epoch Times
President Joe Biden’s son refused to testify in private
Republicans are preparing to launch contempt proceedings against President Joe Biden's son after he defied a subpoena to testify behind closed doors.
“Hunter Biden today defied lawful subpoenas and we will now initiate contempt of Congress proceedings,” Reps. James Comer (R-Ky.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said in a joint statement on Dec. 13. “We will not provide special treatment because his last name is Biden.”
Mr. Biden, 53, appeared outside the U.S. Capitol earlier on Dec. 13 but said he would only testify in public, defying a subpoena. "I'm here today to answer at a public hearing any legitimate questions Chairman Comer and the House Oversight Committee may have for me," Mr. Biden said.
Mr. Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, recently subpoenaed Mr. Biden as part of the House probe of President Biden. The subpoena was for an appearance in private. (Read more)

Lord, Your Word says we should not favor anyone but treat people equally before

favoritism” for Hunter before any judge, jury, or congressional committee. May he
never receive a pass because he is the son of Joe Biden. We say “NO” to any
political pals of the Bidens and/or officials, working behind the scenes to shield

Shine Your light, Father, on any parties attempting a cover-up, threatening witnesses or intervening in any way that hinders the lawful investigations. 5. Menorrah Destroyed in Oakland Park, Threatening Message Left at Scene – The Gateway Pundit
A large menorah in a public park in Oakland, California was destroyed overnight early Wednesday with a threatening message spray-painted at the scene. The menorah was smashed into pieces that were scattered with some being thrown into nearby Lake Merritt.
Photos and video posted by the San Francisco Jewish Community Relations Council with comments, “The malicious destruction of a public menorah in Lake Merritt, #Oakland, accompanied by hateful graffiti, is just the latest example of rampant antisemitism tearing apart the Bay Area. There’s no room for debate; this vicious act unequivocally deserves condemnation.”

6. Is AI Going to Kill Everyone? Top Experts say Yes, Warning About Risk of Extinction Similar to Nuclear Weapons, Pandemics – The Discern Report
In a joint statement released last week, OpenAI head Sam Altman and “Godfather of AI” Geoffrey Hinton warned that the existential threat of artificial intelligence (AI) to humanity is real.
Even though Altman, whose firm created ChatGPT, and Hinton are both profiting from AI, they admit, along with more than 350 other prominent figures, that AI could end up killing off most of humanity in the coming years.
“Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war,” the experts wrote in a single, 22-word sentence put together by the nonprofit Center for AI Safety.
As of late, there have been a number of similar types of statements made by promoters of AI, including billionaire electric vehicle (EV) guru Elon Musk, about the dangers of AI. It is a bit strange, but is there anything not strange these days?
Anyway, the one-sentence statement is meant to cover the threat of AI to basically destroy the world through all sorts of calamities, including through the increased spread of “misinformation” and the economic upheaval that will inevitably come through AI humanoid robot-created job losses. 7. The Deafening Media Silence About American Hostages Held by Hamas – The Discern Report
On Monday, the White House held a Hanukkah reception. Among those not invited: American families who have relatives currently being held hostage by Hamas.
CNN reported that: “Ruby Chen, whose son Itay is a reservist missing since the militant group’s October 7 attacks on Israel, said a number of the families of American hostages were in Washington, D.C., this week, and had reached out to the White House asking to attend the reception but were not invited. A White House spokesperson declined to comment.”
The White House then scrambled to have these families meet President Joe Biden on Wednesday.
Biden isn’t the only one who doesn’t seem to care much about these hostages. The press has been weirdly quiet about their plight and seems content to wait for Biden to “negotiate” their release. If they’re even still alive. (Read more)

Wasting And Destruction In Their Path

There are what seems to be miles of humanitarian aid trucks lined up to go through inspection points into Gaza for the “Palestinian” civilians. While the United States and other countries are applying pressure on Israel to assist refugees in war-torn terrorist Gaza, it is not Israel, but United Nations bureaucracy that is preventing the aid from being distributed. In addition, the ”Palestinian” civilians are raising accusations that Hamas is stealing the aid that does get through. Herein, the world is blaming Israel for killing and mistreating “Palestinian” civilians, but Hamas and the United Nations are part of the problem. All along, sources have been saying that Hamas uses the aid to build its military infrastructure.
Israel’s Defense Ministry body responsible for Palestinian civilian affairs says the United Nations needs to do more to process aid into Gaza, and charges that humanitarian supplies are not reaching the Strip fast enough. COGAT [the agency for Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories] says, “The UN must do better — the aid is there, and the people need it.” The UK Daily Mail reports, “In a bid to facilitate an increase in the number of aid trucks that can enter Gaza each day, last week Israel announced it would open the Kerem Shalom Crossing with Gaza for the inspection of humanitarian aid trucks before they enter Gaza through Egypt’s Rafah crossing.” Read More

Why do meteors glow in vibrant colors?
|
|
|
Meteor showers are one of nature’s most brilliant spectacles, each one bringing a unique experience for stargazers, including meteors glowing in a rainbow of colors.
Meteor showers occur several times a year when the Earth passes through a field of debris, such as particles from asteroids or grains of dust from a comet.
This debris burns up as it enters the Earth’s atmosphere, giving off a flash of light that some refer to as a shooting star.
If seen out of the corner of your eye, a meteor may appear to give off a flash of white light, similar to the way stars appear. However, meteors can appear in a variety of colors if viewing conditions are clear or if they are captured in a photograph.
“The color of light that the meteors produce depends on their chemical composition,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Samuhel said.
“Different chemicals in the meteors produce different colors as they burn up while entering the Earth’s atmosphere,” Samuhel said.
For example, meteors made from primarily calcium will give off a purple or violet color, while those made out of magnesium will appear to have a green or teal color. Read More

Illinois Pro-Life Centers Score Major Victory in Court Battle
|

Pro-life pregnancy centers in Illinois can continue their life-affirming work after the state's attorney general agreed to a permanent injunction that would permanently block a law enacted to restrict the speech of pro-life pregnancy centers. In July, Attorney General Kwame Raoul signed SB1909—known as the Deceptive Practices of Limited Services Pregnancy Centers Act—into law. The law barred crisis pregnancy centers from using so-called "misinformation, deceptive practices, or misrepresentation in order to interfere with access to abortion services or emergency contraception." Opponents of the law contend it specifically targeted pro-life clinics, attempting to impugn their behavior and stifle their efforts to help women make an informed decision. The law allowed the Illinois Attorney General to investigate complaints against centers and prosecute them if they were accused of 'consumer fraud.' "Women need access to comprehensive, fact-based healthcare when making critical decisions about their own health—not manipulation or misinformation from politically motivated, non-medical actors," said Governor J.B. Pritzker at that time. "By empowering the Attorney General's office to battle deceptive practices, we're ensuring Illinoisans can make their own decisions about their bodies using accurate and safe information."
In July, the Thomas More Society, a national public interest law firm, sued Raoul over the law. The group represented the pregnancy center umbrella group National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA), along with Illinois pregnancy centers Women's Help Services and Relevant Pregnancy Options Center, and sidewalk counseling organizations Pro-Life Action League and Rockford Family Initiative. The lawsuit alleged SB1909 violated pregnancy centers' right to free speech and argued it directly attacked pregnancy help centers solely for their pro-life position. "This law is a blatant attempt to chill and silence protected pro-life speech under the guise of 'consumer protection,' while wholly exempting abortion facilities from the same restrictions,'" said Peter Breen, Thomas More Society Executive Vice President and Head of Litigation. "It is difficult to conceive of a more discriminatory law or one that so flagrantly violates the First Amendment." In August, a federal judge ordered a preliminary injunction against Illinois saying the law violated the First Amendment. "Across the nation, pregnancy help ministries are being discriminated against by laws that target their life-affirming work," said Breen, who argued for the injunction in court in August. "The injunction granted today sends a strong, clear message to the country that the First Amendment protects pro-life speech." Earlier this week, Raoul agreed to an order regarding a permanent injunction that bars them from enforcing SB 1909.
