Iran May be Reconsidering Major Strike After American Show of Force

The report comes after the US sent more warships to the region in preparation for an Iranian-led attack on Israel.

- Abba, we give you great praise for answering our prayers to give Iran "second thoughts" after the US sent many ships into the region. We ask Holy Spirit to continue speaking into the hearts of Iranian leadership, allow fear of Israeli and their allies attacks to bring into focus the risks of any type of severe response on their part. Father God, give them vision to see themselves as You see them, let that awareness cause a change of heart, an unwillingness to challenge You by coming against Israel in these circumstances.
We ask You again to send out your warrior angels to put a barrier around Your land and people, one that nothing can get under, over, around or through, in Jesus' name. We ask that You bring glory to Yourself as You answer our prayers. We ask all of this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Another Foreign Policy Disaster: Biden Regime Officially Hands Over US Bases to Military Junta in Niger

While the Taliban is enjoying billions of dollars of U.S. weapons left by the Biden administration in Afghanistan, the military junta that seized control of Niger now has two U.S. bases which will be occupied by Russian troops.
The U.S. has officially handed over its last military bases in Niger to the Nigerien authorities, marking the end of a significant counterterrorism mission in the region.

Abba, again the Biden regime has given away US military bases, just as it did in Afghanistan. We ask Holy Spirit to move in Niger to protect any personnel who worked with the US making them targets of the junta. Jesus, we ask You to raise up a mighty chorus of intercessory prayer to bring down the demonic strongholds that were set up by those putting the junta in place, prayers that will target all whose hearts have been hardened, who have decided that they are god. Reveal to them that You are God, the only God, and they are not. Put the fear of You into their hearts, let them "melt like wax" at the sound of Your voice. We ask You to replace the junta with leadership whose hearts are after Yours, who will call on Your name for guidance and truth. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies.

1. IDF reinvades Khan Yunis for third time after only 8 days - Jerusalem Post
The IDF started moves on Thursday for a third invasion of Khan Yunis, eight days after it concluded its second invasion on July 30.
In early December, the IDF invaded Khan Yunis for the first time, fighting heavily with Hamas until achieving operational control in early February.
On April 7, the IDF withdrew from Khan Yunis for the first time, only to return until July 22, when it said Hamas was trying to reconstitute itself, including having fired dozens of rockets into southern Israel. (Read more)

2. Security cabinet convenes as Israel warns Hezbollah of ‘destruction’ if it attacks - Times of Israel
The security cabinet convened Thursday night in Tel Aviv, as the country continued to brace for a potential attack by the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon.
The cabinet met in the underground command room of the Kirya military headquarters, Hebrew media reported, the first time such a meeting has been held there since the night of April 13-14, when Iran launched some 300 missiles and drones at Israel, almost all of which were intercepted.
The meeting was taking place in “the pit,” as the underground command room is known, but not due to immediate security concerns, but rather in order to drill for a potential emergency situation, Channel 12 news reported, as Israel was preparing for a promised attack by Iran and its terror proxies to several recent high-profile assassinations. 3. Unity rallies held at 100s of intersections across the country - Israel National News
The "For Them - We Won't Return to October 6th" organization organized a unity event at hundreds of intersections across the country, led by Hagay Lober, whose son Yehonatan was killed in battle in the Gaza Strip.
Lober himself stood at the Mehola Junction in the Jordan Valley together with hundreds of others. "My son fought and sacrificed so this nation would be together. That was my son's goal," the bereaved father stated.

4. Israel strips Norway's PA diplomats of status - Israel Hayom
Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced Thursday that Israel is canceling the diplomatic status of Norway's representatives to the Palestinian Authority in response to Oslo's recognition of a Palestinian state and decision to join South Africa in its lawsuit against Israel at the International Criminal Court.
Katz made the government's position unequivocal, warning that "those who attack us and pursue a unilateral policy against us will pay a price." The eight Norwegian diplomats tasked with representing their country's interests vis-à-vis the Palestinian Authority will now have their entry permits revoked within the next seven days. They will be forced to decide whether to remain in Tel Aviv in a bid to mend Israel-Norway relations, or return home.
In summoning the head of the Norwegian Embassy in Israel, the Foreign Ministry delivered a diplomatic note informing Norway of the punitive measures. According to the ministry, the new policy will be implemented immediately, stripping the eight diplomats of their diplomatic status and severing their connection to the PA. (Read more)

5. Jerusalem's Second Temple was built with gigantic stone blocks — now we think we know where they came from - Live Science
The source of the building stones for Jerusalem's Second Temple may have been discovered.
The vast quarry spans about 3,500 square meters (37,674 square feet) and contains building blocks, some of which weigh about 2.5 tons (2.25 metric tons) (the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) recently announced in a statement.
Archaeologists at the newfound quarry, which is located in the Har Hotzvim area of Jerusalem, also found a stone jar that would have been used for purification of a person, along with other artifacts. (Read more)

Unemployment is rising, manufacturing activity is contracting, bankruptcies are soaring, home sales have fallen to depressingly low levels, the cost of living crisis never seems to end, poverty is soaring and homelessness is at the highest level ever recorded. Since Barack Obama first entered the White House, our politicians in Washington have been propping up the economy by adding 25 trillion dollars to the national debt. Now our national debt has crossed the 35 trillion dollar mark, and our politicians continue to spend money at a pace that is absolutely absurd. But despite this tremendous influx of borrowed cash, the wheels are starting to come off the U.S. economy anyway. .This week, everyone is talking about a “recession” because of what has been happening in the financial markets.

4. Tim Walz: No Right to Free Speech if Government Deems It Is Misinformation or Hate Speech – Discern Report
Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz believes people shouldn’t be afforded First Amendment protections if they say things the government has deemed “misinformation.”
The Democrat Minnesota governor shared his disdain for free speech during an MSNBC discussion in Dec. 2022, where he proclaimed that people expressing that “mail-in ballots aren’t legal” represented voter intimidation.

5. Chinese American Posing as Pro-Democracy Activist is Convicted of Spying for China – The Epoch Times
‘The indictment could have been the plot of a spy novel,’ said U.S. Attorney Breon Peace.
A prominent Chinese American scholar based in New York was convicted Aug. 6 on charges he lived a double life as a spy for communist China for over a decade.
Wang Shujun, a 75-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen, established himself as a critic of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and co-founded a pro-democracy organization in New York. However, behind the facade was a man who spied on pro-democracy activists and shared his findings with four officials in China’s top intelligence agency, the Ministry of State Security (MSS), according to prosecutors.
A jury found Wang guilty on four counts, including acting as a foreign agent without notifying the U.S. attorney general and making false statements to law enforcement officers, following a seven-day trial in Brooklyn federal court.
“The indictment could have been the plot of a spy novel, but the evidence is shockingly real that the defendant was a secret agent for the Chinese government,” said U.S. Attorney Breon Peace for the Eastern District of New York in a statement after the verdict. (Read more) |

6. This isn’t the End for the Financial Markets: The Truth is This is Just the Beginning of the Chaos – The Economic Collapse Blog
If you are surprised by what is happening in the financial world right now, you probably haven’t been paying much attention. Stock prices were obscenely high and many investors were massively overleveraged. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted by more than 1,000 points on Monday. During the days ahead, we are going to see some wild ups and some wild downs, and this tragedy is going to take some time to fully play out. But without a doubt, we have got a major problem on our hands.
After the chaos that we witnessed on Friday, I wasn’t sure that we would see even more carnage on Monday, but that is precisely what transpired … The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1,033.99 points, or 2.6%, to close at 38,703.27. The S&P 500 fell 3%, ending at 5,186.33. Both averages notched their worst daily losses since September 2022.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite shed 3.43%, finishing at 16,200.08. At one point the Nasdaq was down more than 1,000 points. That is the first time in history that has ever happened. (Read more) |

The Battlefield of the Mind

The headlines these days are alarming. The world seems to be in a panic over the election and a possible recession. The narrative seems to be pointing toward economic, government, political, and social disruption. Disruption on all levels. There is no rest from disruption. It is so, because the media and the disrupters make it so. So there they are making their noise, accusing others of what they are doing, judging people from the content of their own hearts, spewing forth hate, derision, suspicion and darkness. What is it to us? Why do we have to allow them to occupy the battlefield of our minds? Does their darkness overcome the light of Christ and the Holy Spirit in each of us? I stand to say “NO.”
In John 8:12, Christ said, “I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” In Matthew 5:14-16, Christ affirms this transfer of light, saying, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Philippians 2:14-15 says, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Read More

JD Vance pushes media to stop giving Harris 'a honeymoon'

Vice President Kamala Harris has gone 18 days without holding a formal press conference since becoming the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee as of Thursday.
"It's been 18 days and Kamala Harris is still not taking questions from the media or voters. Regardless of who you support, a terrible precedent has been set," Rep. Kevin Kiley, R-Calif., posted on X.
Harris became essentially the de facto nominee after President Biden endorsed her on July 21 when he dropped out of the race and she officially clinched the nomination last week. She has been busy on the campaign trail, spoken at various events, and given informal remarks to reporters at various points, but hasn’t done a formal press conference or wide-ranging interview in the 16 days that have followed.
She also failed to appear at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago, where former President Trump made headlines last week with a heated question-and-answer session, although she could make a future appearance with the group.

Harris campaign denies support for Israeli arms embargo

The Harris campaign said in a statement that Harris reaffirmed "that her campaign will continue to engage with those communities," an aide said.

In an effort at damage control, Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign reaffirmed her support for Israel Thursday after initial reports of her meeting with pro-Palestinian leaders before a rally in Detroit suggested that she expressed an openness to an arms embargo for Israel.
A campaign source told The Jerusalem Post that Harris “did not express openness to an arms embargo.”
In a post on X, Harris’s National Security Adviser Phil Gordon said Harris has been clear and will always ensure Israel can defend itself against Iran and Iran-backed terrorist groups.
“She does not support an arms embargo on Israel,” Gordon wrote. “She will continue to work to protect civilians in Gaza and to uphold international humanitarian law.”
According to a statement from a campaign spokesperson, Harris has “prioritized engaging with Arab, Muslim, and Palestinian community members and others regarding the war in Gaza” since October 7. (Jerusalem Post) Read more.

- Righteous Father, it would seem that POTUS candidate Harris is speaking out of both sides of her mouth, which suggests a lack of integrity and a lack of total commitment to our close ally, Israel. She also seems to lack understanding of the spiritual underpinnings of the whole Israeli-Arab conflicts throughout the centuries. We earnestly pray that You draw her to Your Son, Yeshua, and show her the truth of Your word and Your plans for the nations. May there be repentance and turning to the Light as she is bathed in The Truth. However, we pray that she would not be elected at this time; may she become mature in her faith in You, Lord.
May the U.S. continue to come along-side of Israel, providing all we can to protect her and help her to prosper. We cry out for discernment for the legally-voting public in November, as well as exposure of any fraud regarding the ballots.

Perseid meteor shower 2024 peaks this weekend. Here's how to see summer's best 'shooting stars'

Every August, just when many people go vacationing in the country where skies are dark, the best-known meteor shower makes its appearance: The Perseids.
This year, the Perseid meteor shower should reach its peak during the overnight hours of late Sunday night into early Monday morning (Aug. 11-12), when there is almost no moon, making the late-night sky nice and dark for shooting star spectators and counters. The first quarter moon sets around 11:20 p.m. local daylight time, leaving the sky nicely dark thereafter. Some Perseids do appear during the evening, but the shower is always better from about 11 p.m. or midnight until the dawn's early light.
Or, to put it another way, expect greater numbers of meteors to be evident during the pre-dawn hours because this is when your side of Earth turns to face the oncoming meteors more directly.

Pastors need spiritual warfare training;
Set Free Global wants to help
