Earthquake Felt In Southern California,

Southern California was jolted Tuesday evening as an earthquake shook the Los Angeles area, and dozens of aftershocks followed.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the main earthquake was a magnitude 5.2 that struck at 9:09 p.m. local time (12:09 a.m. EDT Wednesday). The epicenter was in Kern County, near the town of Maricopa, which is located about 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Read More

U.S. forces destroy multiple Houthi weapons, vehicles in past 24 hours: CENTCOM

CENTCOM says Houthis' actions are 'reckless and dangerous'
|
|
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Monday that American forces recently destroyed three uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) belonging to Houthis.
CENTCOM said that the drones were launched from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen over the Gulf of Aden. The weapons were all destroyed between Sunday evening and Monday evening.
CENTCOM added that U.S. forces also destroyed three other weapons and vessels belonging to the Houthis within the past 24 hours.
"Separately, USCENTCOM forces successfully destroyed one Houthi uncrewed surface vessel (USV), one Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) and one Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) in the Red Sea," the press release continued. (Fox News) Read more.

Hezbollah waiting for opportunity, Iran may attempt multiple simultaneous attacks
|

The delay explained: as Israel continues to wait and prepare for attacks from Hezbollah and Iran, Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah stated that Israel's waiting is part of the response and constitutes as psychological terror.
According to sources, Hezbollah could have long targeted fixed Israeli military sites, such as an airstrip or a naval dock, but it is waiting for an operational opportunity to exact a toll from Israel.
It is also assessed by these sources that Iran is calculating its next moves, and may attempt to challenge the Israeli air defense systems with widespread fire - not only from Iran itself, but also from Iraq and Yemen, simultaneously.
In reality, there is an ongoing learning battle between Israel and Iran. Israel is developing plans based on scenarios and responses, strengthening its defense systems, and tightening the international coalition. Meanwhile, Iran and its proxies are trying to find a way to penetrate said defense systems, select significant targets that wont lead into an escalation to all-out war, and coordinate their response with militias affiliated with the Islamic Republic.
As of the time of writing, Israel still believes it is not correct to shift the main effort from Gaza northward and, therefore, not to carry out a preemptive strike that could start a war, despite the tense waiting. However, for example, if active launchers are identified before launching salvos at Israel, it is not unlikely that Israel will strike them before they become fully operational.
The Israeli response to an attack by Hezbollah and Iran will be examined according to their intentions, namely, the ammunition fired at Israel, the target, and primarily the damage caused as a result. (Israel Hayom) Read more here.

Debby to impact Georgia, Carolinas with life-threatening flooding and storm surge this week
|

If Debby stalls along the Southeast coast this week, there could be dire implications for locations in Georgia and the Carolinas in term of flooding and storm surge. Debby's expected impacts after making landfall in Florida
With potential feet of rain in the forecast from Debby, the city of Charleston is taking action to help keep people safe through extreme overnight rainfall.
Now with Debby well inland over the southeastern United States, AccuWeather meteorologists continue to raise concerns of the tropical storm's slow forward speed that will lead to excessive rainfall from southeastern Georgia to coastal areas of the Carolinas. So much rain may fall to lead to life-threatening conditions.
Over the next several days, Debby is projected to linger along the Southeast U.S. coast to produce significant flash flooding, gusty winds and prolonged coastal inundation. AccuWeather expert meteorologists say that there is a growing threat of relentless rainfall and flooding impacts as the storm slowly tracks from northern Florida to parallel with the Georgia and Carolina coast. Benny Gantz, chairman of the National Unity Party, called for a dramatic escalation in military pressure on Lebanon on Tuesday, including targeting its infrastructure, in response to recent terrorist attacks and escalating tensions along Israel’s northern border. Gantz delivered his remarks at a tribute conference for the Druze community in Tel Aviv.
“We are stronger than our enemies. Israel has security superiority and strong regional alliances that will withstand any attack. But our use of force must not be wasted,” Gantz stated, emphasizing the need for decisive action to restore normalcy in northern Israel. He argued for a strategic increase in military pressure on Lebanon to allow life in the North to return to normal.
Gantz also highlighted the role of international actors in achieving long-term security for the region. “We must leverage the tension and involvement of international actors to achieve results that will provide security for the residents of the North,” he added, underscoring the importance of global cooperation. 2. Oct. 7th planner Yahya Sinwar named new Hamas head - World Israel News
Terror mastermind Yahya Sinwar, who planned the October 7th terror onslaught that killed more than 1,200 in Israel, was named as the new head of Hamas’ politburo by the terror group.
The appointment of Sinwar, who is currently in hiding to avoid being assassinated by Israel, comes after the slaying of former politburo leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week.
“The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announces the selection of Commander Yahya Sinwar as the head of the political bureau of the movement, succeeding the martyr Commander Ismail Haniyeh, may Allah have mercy on him,” the terror group said in a short statement.
Sinwar, a longtime member of Hamas, currently serves as the terror group’s leader in the Gaza Strip. (Read more)

3. IDF destroys weapons storehouse in Shechem - Israel National News
In a joint operation, the IDF, ISA, and Border Police arrested Tuesday night 14 wanted suspects throughout Judea, Samaria.
The forces operated in Shechem (Nablus) overnight, locating and destroying a weapons storehouse where various types of handheld and heavier explosive devices were stored.
During the operation, terrorists hurled explosive devices and opened fire at the Israeli forces, who responded by returning fire. (Read more)

4. Several Israelis Wounded as Hezbollah Attacks Western Galilee - Algemeiner
Nineteen Israelis were wounded on Tuesday when Hezbollah launched attack drones towards the Western Galilee, initial reports said.
A man in his 30s was listed in serious condition, a 30-year-old woman was moderately wounded, and others suffered light wounds, according to reports.
At least two drones were said to have been launched into Israel; only some were intercepted. One drone impacted the Arab town of Mazra’a, between Acre and Nahariya, after crossing the border from Lebanon.
Magen David Adom emergency service medics reportedly treated victims at three different scenes around Nahariya. The wounded were evacuated to the city’s Galilee Medical Center, according to MDA.
The Israel Defense Forces said that at least some of the casualties were apparently caused by an Israeli interceptor missile that missed its target.
“As a result of the fall, several civilians were injured, the incident is under investigation,” the military announced in a post on X.
MDA paramedics told Israel’s Channel 13 News: “We saw the man sitting in the car unconscious and suffering from a severe head injury from a shrapnel hit and another injured woman was near the parking lot where she is fully conscious and suffering from shrapnel injuries to her limbs.” (Read more)

5. Egypt’s Instructions to Pilots: Avoid Iranian Airspace Thursday 4 AM Israel Time - Jewish Press
Egypt issued some very odd instructions to its airline pilots on Wednesday.
The pilots were told to avoid Iranian airspace between 1 AM and 4 AM UTC on Thursday morning, which is 4 AM to 7 AM Israel time.
What’s odd about it is that Egyptian carriers already route around Iran as normal procedure, according to FlightRadar 24.
The NOTAM (notice to air missions), a safety notice provided to pilots, said Wednesday the instruction would be in effect from 0100-0400 GMT. (Read more)

Recently, Walz attacked former President Trump and his running mate JD Vance as "weird," a viral insult the Harris campaign has embraced.

2. Slow-moving Tropical Storm Debby bringing torrential rains and flooding to southeastern US - AP News
Tropical Storm Debbybrought prolonged downpours and flooding to the southeastern United States on Tuesday and was expected to hover over the Atlantic Ocean for the next few days, then boomerang back onto the mainland, leading to potentially record-setting rainfall.
The storm was forecast to move relatively slowly across some of America’s most historic Southern cities, including Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina. The National Hurricane Center has forecast up to 25 inches(64 centimeters) of rain in some areas.
People were trudging through waist-high water in one Savannah neighborhood, and the mayor posted the video as a reminder. “The water is serious,” he said. (Read more)

3. Report reveals Biden-Harris admin has released alarming number of illegal aliens on terror watchlist into US - DML News
The warnings repeatedly issued since the Biden-Harris administration took control have now all been confirmed. Terrorists from around the world are walking right across the border into the United States, and many are then being set free into the county by the administration.
Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee just released a bombshell report with all the chilling details.

Representatives from a California megachurch will be traveling statewide to encourage Christians to mobilize voters ahead of the presidential election. Pastor Jack Hibbs' Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Southern California is putting on a series of events as part of its "Comeback California Tour" that seeks to equip churches to legally and effectively get involved in the political process ahead of the November general election.
The initiative's website states that the tour "will rally Christians across the state to set in motion the church's crucial task of influencing the culture."

Former Attorney General Derek Schmidt, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump in Kansas' 2nd Congressional District, won the GOP primary raceon Tuesday. Schmidt had more than 53% of the vote as of Wednesday morning. The seat is currently represented by 36-year-old Rep. Jake LaTurner, who announced he would not be seeking re-election.

Stupidocrisy: Believing the polls

In the wake of Joe Biden suspending his presidential campaign and Kamala Harris stepping in, everyone was wondering about the polls. Almost immediately, there appeared in the news a Reuters poll and one by Quinnipiac that showed Harris leading Trump. There were 13 other polls, according to Breitbart News, that indicated Trump was well head of Harris. Anywhere from a 2-point to a four-point lead. But even in the Quinnipiac poll, which once analyzed properly showed Trump in the lead, the Quinnipiac news release said that Harris led Trump by a two-point margin. So what and who do you believe when it comes to polls? Just remember a good rule of thumb–that liars figure and figures lie.
One of my favorite Bible verses is a warning from Christ concerning the latter days. It’s found in Matthew 24:4 and says, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” Saying that in the last days, perilous times shall come, the Apostle Paul echoes such a warning in 2 Timothy 3:13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Deception is key to taking well-intended people off the track of what is right and good. To combat deception, we need discernment, which is found in the Holy Scriptures and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We need a lot of wisdom to discern these days. Those wishing to deceive often try to co-opt your support through peer pressure.

Gov. Walz ordered tampons to be put in boys’ bathrooms in every Minnesota school because some on the left think boys have periods and get pregnant.
He is so committed to abortion that Nancy Pelosi told him to tone down his rhetoric. He also signed legislation that repealed the reporting requirement for babies born alive after botched abortions.
He signed legislation that repealed explicitly anti-pedophilia language from Minnesota’s anti-discrimination “human rights” law.
Walz was among the most aggressive governors when it came to enforcing COVID lockdowns. He set up a special hotline for people to report non-compliant neighbors. When reopening began, he restricted church attendance to just 10 people per church.
During the 2020 riots, his wife deliberately kept their windows open so, as she explained, she could smell the city burning because she thought it was such a historic moment.
Gov. Walz and his wife took their honeymoon in communist China, and he traveled there at least 30 times.
Walz does not believe in building a border wall. When asked about it, he said he would invest in a ladder factory.
The Democrat Socialists of America are cheering Walz’s selection as vice president.

DES MOINES, Iowa (LifeSiteNews) — Thousands of unborn babies will likely be saved in Iowa now that the state’s heartbeat law has finally taken effect today after years of legal battles. The law, which Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed in July 2023, bans abortion once a baby’s heartbeat can be detected, which is as early as five weeks of pregnancy. However, the court ruled in favor of the new heartbeat law in a 4-3 decision this month in a victory for pro-lifers. Last week, Iowa District Judge Jeffrey Farrell ordered that the law take effect today at 8 a.m. Central time, LifeSiteNews reported.
The Iowa Supreme Court, which has a 7-0 Republican majority, had declared in 2022 that Iowa’s Constitution does not include a “fundamental right” to abortion, reversing an earlier pro-abortion precedent. Unlike some states that have enacted pro-life protections, Iowa does not allow initiated constitutional amendments that could overturn its heartbeat ban. Conservative leaders celebrated the Iowa Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the law, which is the strongest pro-life legislation to take effect in the Hawkeye State in more than 50 years, while calling for the state to protect life from the moment of conception. “Our prayers have been answered!” Pulse Life Advocates said.
