Trump Calls on Supreme Court to ‘Intercede’ in Legal Battles
|
|
Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social Friday morning to call on the Supreme Court of the United States to step in amid a barrage of legal battles the GOP frontrunner for 2024 is currently engaged with.
“It is Election Interference, & the Supreme Court must intercede. MAGA!” he wrote, using the acronym for his catchphrase, “Make America Great Again.”
On Thursday, Mr. Trump was arraigned in the nation’s capital, pleading not guilty to four counts: criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States, to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding—the Jan. 6 certification of the electoral vote—and conspiracy against the rights of citizens.
On Aug. 28, U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan is expected to set a trial date. In the documents case, the presiding judge set a trial for May 2024. It appears Mr. Trump expects the cases to be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court.
Many have pointed out that these charges came as Mr. Trump gained approval in his campaign for reelection, and as President Joe Biden and his son face investigations of their own. Mr. Smith was appointed special counsel by the Department of Justice just three days after Mr. Trump officially announced his intention to run last November. Mr. Trump’s team has repeatedly decried the legal action from the states as “election interference,” asking why none of these charges appeared before his announcement to run. - Holy King, we pray for justice for President Trump. When we look at the issue of documents that Joe Biden, Mike Pence, Bill Clinton and several others all have in their personal possession, legally or not, it is incomprehensible why only President Trump is being charged. Father, when we look at the enormous amount of unrighteous acts that have taken place against so many January 6th citizens who went to petition the government for redress of their grievances while peaceably assembled, it feels like justice has departed our judicial system.
We pray for President Trump who is receiving the tip of the spear of vengeance from those who believe the election was legitimate. Father, we petition You to bring an overwhelming tidal wave of truth, justice and righteousness upon these matters, washing, cleansing and purifying all that is unholy and untrue in our nation, in Jesus name.

Chief Capitol Cop Told Tucker ‘It’s Not Crazy’ to Wonder About Ray Epps in Hidden Fox Interview

Former Capitol Hill Police Chief Steve Sund told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he was not “crazy” to question the behavior of individuals present in the January 6th crowd, one of whom in particular – Ray Epps – had bragged to his friends that he “orchestrated” the entire thing, before the Democrat-run Jan 6 Committee thanked him for participating in their charade.
In never-before-seen footage published exclusively by The National Pulse, Carlson asks Sund about Epps, though without using the Arizona man’s name:
TUCKER: “So let’s go back to the role of, you said nine out of the 18 agencies in the so-called intelligence community are military, Pentagon supervised… military intel. Would they have been gathering, it sounds like they were gathering information about January 6th before it happened?”
SUND: “Well, again, for Milley and Miller, to be that concerned about, uh, about January 6th in advance, they had to be getting the intelligence from somewhere. I mean, talk about locking down Washington, D.C.? That’s a huge undertaking. Um, and again, to never, never notify me. Dr. Robert Malone: COVID jabs were a CIA operation to depopulate the world

In a speech at the 2023 White Coat Summit Dr. Robert Malone asked the crucial question about the so-called COVID vaccines:
“Why would a government wish to advance this technology?”
His reluctant conclusion is that the novel mRNA injections have been developed by the CIA to assist in a global depopulation program – which has existed in the United States since the 1970s.
Dr. Malone was one of the pioneers of the technology which led to the development of the mRNA injections. His near-unique insight into their mechanism of action was derided as “misinformation” by the mainstream media, once he began to warn the world of the dangers of these novel interventions.

1. High Court issues injunction, seeks answers from the state on PM recusal law - Times of Israel
The High Court of Justice issued an interim injunction on Sunday relating to the recusal law passed by the coalition, and expanded the panel hearing petitions against the legislation to 11 justices, indicating that it is formally considering intervention against the law.
The court’s injunction instructs the prime minister, the Knesset, and the attorney general to explain why the court should not rule that the recusal law will only take effect at a later date. The law, an amendment to Basic Law: The Government, eliminates the ability of the court or the attorney general to order a prime minister to recuse themselves from office.
The injunction indicated that the court is considering an “interpretative” solution to the controversial legislation — which was seemingly largely tailored for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his legal entanglements — where, instead of the court taking the drastic and unprecedented step of striking the law down entirely, the law would come into effect at a later date to remedy the problematic way it was advanced. 2. ‘We’ll put you in front of a firing squad’: Protester spits on coalition whip - World Israel News
An anti-government protester spat on Likud MK Ofir Katz at a conference in the northern Israeli city of Afula, before threatening to put Katz “in front of a firing squad,” the Arutz 7news site reported on Sunday.
This incident prompted a police complaint.
Likud minister May Golan also arrived in Afula, under heavy security. Golan claimed that she was attacked by protesters wielding wooden poles and threatening her. In response, Golan stepped outside, waving a Likud flag and shouting, “Am Yisrael Chai” (the people of Israel live).
On the other side of the coin, the Shin Bet security agency has expressed growing concern over the escalating threats directed at Supreme Court President Esther Hayut and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, Channel 13 reported. (Read more)

3. They tried to murder me' | Arabs attack haredi journalist on Mount of Olives - Israel National News
Nati Kalish, a haredi journalist, was visiting the Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and upon exiting, his car was pelted with large stones thrown by Arab rioters.
Miraculously, he managed to leave without bodily harm, with only his vehicle sustaining heavy damage. He quickly contacted the police, who arrested the main suspect.
"I was at the Mount of Olives, and I prayed at the graves of the holy Or Haim and the Rebbe of Zvhil, and I turned to leave from the new exit, where they put the new traffic light," he recounted in an interview with Kol Chai. (Read more)

4. Jenin: Security forces eliminate terror cell in broad daylight - Israel National News
A force from the YAMAM unit on Sunday eliminated three terrorists who were on their way to carry out a terror attack near Jenin. No Israeli forces were injured.
The operation was a joint effort between the IDF and the Shin Bet, during which a vehicle carrying a team of terrorists was identified leaving the Jenin Refugee Camp on its way to carry out an attack.
Security forces operated to prevent an immediate threat and thwarted the terrorist cell. (Read more)

5. Iran Boosts Navy with Missiles, Drones - Algemeiner
i24 News – Iran has equipped its Revolutionary Guards’ navy with drones and 600-mile range missiles, regime media reported on Saturday.
The announcement came on the heels of the U.S. saying it could soon put guards on commercial ships sailing through the Gulf’s Strait of Hormuz.
Revolutionary Guards’ Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri was quoted as saying that the new missiles had better precision as well as longer range.
Earlier this week, Washington said it could soon offer to put armed sailors and Marines on commercial ships in the region following Iran’s seizure and harassment of vessels. (Read more)

1.Congress Can Regulate Supreme Court, Justice Says – The Epoch Times
Congress has the power to impose regulations on the U.S. Supreme Court, a justice said on Aug. 3.
“It just can’t be that the court is the only institution that somehow is not subject to checks and balances from anybody else. We’re not imperial,” Justice Elena Kagan told a judicial conference in Oregon.
“Can Congress do various things to regulate the Supreme Court? I think the answer is: yes,” Justice Kagan, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, added.
Justice Samuel Alito recently said that Congress has no authority to regulate the nation’s top court.
“I know this is a controversial view, but I’m willing to say it,” Justice Alito, an appointee of former President George W. Bush, said. “No provision in the Constitution gives them the authority to regulate the Supreme Court—period.” (Read more)

2. Scientists Demand Full Retraction Of COVID Natural Origins Paper Praised By Fauci - Daily Wire
Prominent scientists are demanding a full retraction of an early, highly influential paper on the origins of COVID-19 that downplayed the lab leak theory and was praised by Dr. Anthony Fauci.
“The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” published in March 2020 in the journal Nature Medicine, declared that COVID did not come from a lab despite private doubts from the authors that a lab leak was possible, and even “likely.”
“Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus,” wrote the five prominent scientists who authored the paper. “We do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible.”
However, emails from early 2020 that came to light earlier this year show that Fauci and the paper’s authors suspected all along that the virus may have been the result of a lab leak.
A total of 47 scientists and other STEM professionals signed an open letter to Nature Medicine journal calling for the paper to be retracted.
“We, as STEM and STEM-policy professionals, call upon Nature Medicine to publish an expression of editorial concern for the paper and to begin a process of withdrawal or retraction of the paper,” the signers wrote.
The paper is “scientific fraud,” declared one of the signers, Richard H. Ebright, the Board of Governors professor of chemistry and chemical biology at Rutgers University. (Read more)

3. Jack Smith Admits Making False Claim to Court in Trump Case - The Epoch Times
Special counsel Jack Smith's team made a startling admission in its case against former President Donald Trump, acknowledging in a new court filing that it failed to turn over all evidence to Mr. Trump's legal team as required by law and falsely claimed that it had.
Mr. Smith's team said in a July 31 court filing (pdf) in its classified documents case against the former president that it had incorrectly claimed during a July 18 court hearing that it had provided all Mar-a-Lago surveillance footage to Mr. Trump's defense attorneys, as required by law.
"On July 27, as part of the preparation for the superseding indictment coming later that day and the discovery production for Defendant De Oliveira, the Government learned that this footage had not been processed and uploaded to the platform established for the defense to view the subpoenaed footage," Mr. Smith's team wrote in the July 31 filing.
"The Government’s representation at the July 18 hearing that all surveillance footage the Government had obtained pre-indictment had been produced was therefore incorrect."
Under what is called the Brady rule, prosecutors in a criminal trial have a constitutional duty to disclose all evidence to a defendant's legal team, including information that is favorable to the accused and could reduce a potential sentence. (Read more)

4. FBI Rescues More Than 200 Sex Trafficking Victims in Sting Operation, Many of Them Children - CBN
The FBI has recovered more than 200 victims of human trafficking in a nationwide sting operation known as "Operation Cross Country", federal agents announced Tuesday.
During a two-week operation to battle exploitation, the agency found 59 victims of child sex trafficking and child sexual exploitation and 59 missing children.
"Sex traffickers exploit and endanger some of the most vulnerable members of our society and cause their victims unimaginable harm," Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a statement.
The operation was in collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Agents were able to identify or arrest at least 126 suspects facilitating child sexual exploitation, along with 68 suspected human traffickers.
"Human traffickers prey on the most vulnerable members of our society, and their crimes scar victims – many of them children – for life. The FBI's commitment to combatting this threat will never waver, and we will continue to send our message that these atrocities will not be tolerated," said FBI Director Christopher Wray.
He continued, "This operation would not be possible without the commitment and collaboration from our state and local law enforcement partners, and it demonstrates our continued focus on actively pursuing the criminals responsible for these heinous violations and connecting those impacted with dedicated victim services and resources." 5. Federal Court Smacks Down Satanic Temple in Ruling Over Prayer - Faith Wire
A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by The Satanic Temple against the City of Boston, ruling the city council did not discriminate against the group by refusing to grant its request to deliver an invocation at a recent weekly meeting, according to the Boston Herald.
U.S. District Court Judge Angel Kelley wrote in a 31-page ruling that speakers delivering opening prayers “are invited at the discretion of the individual city councilors.”
She wrote, “The evidence on record, however, suggests that the city councilors’ discretion was not exercised in such a way that individuals or groups were excluded from giving an invocation because of their religious beliefs.”
The judge further explained city council members “did not allow some requests while denying others.” Rather, she wrote, “the city councilors’ primary motivation in selecting an invocation speaker … has always been the individual or organization’s involvement in the community.” (Read more)

6. ‘Too Much Fear and Woke-ness’: Actor Kirk Cameron Speaks Out After Library Cancels His Event With Riley Gaines - FaithWire
A conservative legal firm is demanding a library reconsider canceling a family-friendly, book-reading event featuring actor Kirk Cameron and activist Riley Gaines.
First Liberty Institute attorney Jeremy Dys, who represents Cameron and his publisher Brave Books, fired off a letter Thursday to the Madison Public Library in Huntsville, Alabama, urging the institution to reverse the cancellation.
Cameron and Gaines were scheduled to read their children’s books at the Madison Public Library as part of Brave Books’ “See You at the Library Day,” a national effort at hundreds of libraries across the U.S. to read and share family-friendly content. “Upon learning that Mr. Cameron and his friend and Brave Books author, Riley Gaines, will be attending in person, you abruptly cancelled the event citing ‘security concerns’ from a potential protest of Mr. Cameron and claiming the event exceeds the library’s capacity,” Dys wrote in his letter.
The lawyer stated any refusal to overturn the cancellation will be seen as “unlawful and unconstitutional religious viewpoint and content discrimination in violation of the Alabama Constitution and the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.”
As for Cameron, he told CBN’s Faithwire Friday morning why he’s not backing down from the fight. “These libraries should really be grateful that so many parents and children are excited to visit them tomorrow,” he said. “With e-books and other online reading options, sit-down libraries are becoming irrelevant and obsolete to the younger generation.”
Cameron said libraries should capitalize on this family-friendly movement and embracing it. And he wasn’t done there, expressing his belief biases are at play. “Too much fear and woke-ness has made the ALA and these librarians go mad,” he said. “They are cutting off their nose to spite their face.” (Read more)

7. 109 Ohio clergy pray for Jim Jordan as he resurrects ‘Church Committee’ to investigate federal agencies - FrontLines Ohio
It’s not often clergy are excited about church committees, but this might be different. In 1975, a U.S. Senate select committee known as the “Church Committee” obtained the most comprehensive public disclosure of federal intelligence corruption in American history. One group of faith leaders is hopeful a new ‘Church Committee’ of the same magnitude can be resurrected, bringing accountability and transparency to federal intelligence agencies that have gone rogue.
Congress has gone home for summer recess, and Ohio clergy took time to meet with the Chairperson of the “Weaponization of Government” House Select Committee. The faith leaders are advising him that as he wrestles with spiritual powers on Capital Hill, he should ‘leave it all on the mat, to never back down, and to never lose the faith.’
“As leading clergymen from one hundred-nine diverse multi-denominational congregations across the Buckeye Bible Belt, we are calling Ohioans to publicly repent for the sins of our nation,” says Pastor John Bouquet, one of the faith leaders calling for prayer for Congressman Jim Jordan. “We believe ALMIGHTY GOD has selected Jim Jordan as His instrument of justice and righteousness (Amos 5:24) to confront the hidden works of evil.”
The clergymen gave a corporate call to prayer Wednesday at the Congressman’s District Office asserting that federal agencies have been weaponized to go against the very people they are supposed to represent. (Read more here)

8. Toll from Toll from landslide in Georgia mountain resort up to 17 dead, 18 missing - ABC News
The death toll from a landslide that hit a resort area in the mountains of the country of Georgia increased to 17, officials and news reports said Saturday, on the third day of a search and rescue operation.
The landslide hit the Shovi area on Thursday. Shovi, about 140 kilometers (85 miles) northwest of the capital Tbilisi, is popular for its mineral springs and rugged mountain vistas and contains cottages and small hotels.
The head of the Georgian Internal Affairs Ministry’s Emergency Management Service, Temur Mgebrishvili, confirmed the death of 17 people and noted that 18 people were still unaccounted for.
Officials said the landslide apparently was triggered by heavy rainfall, aggravated by recent erosion in the area. (Read more)

U.S. weighs armed Marines on oil tankers in Strait of Hormuz to stop Iranian seizures

Since 2019, there have been a series of attacks on shipping in strategic Gulf waters at times of tension between the United States and the Islamic Republic
The Pentagon is reportedly readying plans to deploy armed sailors and Marines on commercial oil tankers traveling through the Gulf’s Strait of Hormuz, in an effort to combat alleged Iranian attempts to hijack ships in international waters.
If approved, the move would represent a remarkable escalation in the long-running feud between the United States and Iran, one that could put their militaries in direct confrontation.
Washington last month sent additional F-35 and F-16 fighter jets along with a warship to the Middle East in a bid to monitor key waterways in the region, following multiple seizures and harassment of commercial shipping vessels by Iranian forces. (I24News) Read more.

Ukrainian drone disables Russian warship near Russia's Novorossiysk port

Aug 4 (Reuters) - A Russian warship was seriously damaged in an overnight Ukrainian naval drone attack on Russia's Black Sea navy base at Novorossiysk, the first time the Ukrainian navy has projected its power so far from the country's shores.
The port, which handles 2% of the world's oil supply and also exports grain, temporarily halted civilian ship movement before resuming normal operations, according to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium which operates an oil terminal there.
Russia's Defence Ministry said a Ukrainian attack by two sea drones had been repelled in the waters outside the base and that the drones had been destroyed. It made no mention of any damage in its short statement.
A Ukrainian intelligence source said the Olenegorsky Gornyak, a Russian Navy landing ship with around 100 Russian servicemen on board, had been hit by a sea drone carrying 450 kilograms of TNT.
"As a result of the attack, the Olenegorsky Gornyak received a serious breach and currently cannot conduct its combat missions," the source told Reuters, adding that the operation had been carried out by Ukraine's Security Service and the navy. "All the Russian statements about a 'repelled attack' are fake." (Read more)

Niger: President Mohamed Bazoum calls on US for help after coup

Niger's ousted leader has urged the US and "entire international community" to help "restore... constitutional order" after last week's coup.
In an opinion piece in the Washington Post, President Mohamed Bazoum said he was writing "as a hostage".
He also warned that the region could fall further under Russian influence, via the Wagner Group which already operates in neighbouring countries.
Niger's West African neighbours have threatened military intervention.
Defence chiefs from the region finished a three-day meeting in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, on Friday saying they had drawn up a detailed plan for the use of force for leaders from the regional bloc Ecowas to consider.
"All the elements that will go into any eventual intervention have been worked out here, including the resources needed, the how and when we are going deploy the force," Abdel-Fatau Musah, Ecowas commissioner for political affairs, peace and security said.
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu on Friday wrote to lawmakers seeking their support for the sanctions and military action. His letter included a reference to a "military build-up and deployment of personnel".
On Thursday, the coup leaders announced they were withdrawing the country's ambassadors from France, the US, Nigeria and Togo.
In a statement read out on national television, they said the functions of the four ambassadors had been "terminated".
The junta also announced it was cutting bilateral military ties with former colonial power France. The country currently has around 1,500 troops in Niger and has been part of a force combating Islamist militancy.
France has responded by saying that only "legitimate" governments could alter agreements.
Ecowas has imposed sanctions and given the junta until the end of the weekend to reinstate the president or face the possibility of military intervention.
The regional bloc is also trying to pursue a diplomatic solution, but a delegation that arrived in Niger on Thursday left after just a few hours without any sign of progress.
Niger is a significant uranium producer - a fuel that is vital for nuclear power - and under Mr Bazoum was a key Western ally in the fight against Islamist militants in West Africa's Sahel region. (BBC) Read more here.

Father God, there is a term in Scripture: "Stinketh."
When the facts do not add up, we sense that something must "stinketh."
We continue to lift the nation of Niger in prayer, because the details of this report are alarming:
1. The elected President Mohamed Bazoum has been thrown out of office and now considers himself as a "hostage" in his own land.
2. The people have now taken over the government in a violent coup
3. We see photos of the rebels, marching in the streets, holding flags of RUSSIA and/or photos of Putin.
4. Niger is a key producer of several key elements, shipped to the world. These include some of the world's largest uranium deposits.
If these minerals were to fall into enemy hands, the impact on our own economy and security would be serious.
5. We are CONCERNED that the American press is giving NO HEED to this breaking news, even as the Americans are now fleeing Niger at the urging of our own Department of State.
6. Finally, this tiny nation lies in the heart of Africa. Could it be that the chaos now breaking out there may spread soon to the surrounding nations on the African continent?
IT IS TIME TO PRAY!

- Father God, we lift up the nation of Niger in her hour of need, and we ask that Your Hand of Divine Intervention would fall upon her people. Holy God, we ask You to send forth Your Angel Armies to bring peace to this land, and to restore its duly elected government.

Newly Erupting Volcano Is Whipping Up
Tornadoes as Lava Explodes

A volcano in Iceland that recently began erupting, spewing lava amid explosions from its depths, has also caused another strange natural phenomenon to occur—tornadoes.
A video posted to YouTube by drone photographer Martin Sanchez on July 24 shows the tornado spinning violently right next to a flow of explosive lava from the volcano.
"I have never seen this before in my life. I did capture the previous volcano eruptions here in Iceland but as a power drone pilot this was my first time flying a drone next to a Tornado and Volcano at the same time!" Sanchez told Newsweek.
The volcano, named Litli-Hrútur—translating to Little Ram—began erupting on July 10. It's actually part of a larger volcano, named Fagradalsfjall, which also erupted last summer, and the one before that, after an 800-year hiatus from activity.
As the Litli-Hrútur site began to erupt, lava and toxic gases including sulfur dioxide spilled out from a large fissure measuring about 2,600 feet. Since the eruption has eased, the fissure has shrunk to about 250 feet long, according to the NASA Earth Observatory.
The tornado likely formed as a result of the hot lava spewing from the fissure, heating the air directly above it, causing the air to rise and spin upwards in a spiral. Read More

Traveling Evangelist Says Christian Revival Happening Now Among Generation Z

A summer camp founder in South Carolina says Christian revival is happening among the age group known as Generation Z, people born between 1999 and 2015. Crossroads Summer Camp, hosted on Anderson University's campus in South Carolina, was founded in 1996 by Clayton King, a traveling evangelist who's reaching the next generation by sharing the gospel and teaching them truth, meaning, and purpose. "Eighty-five percent of all Christian converts in America will make a decision to receive Christ as Savior before they turn 19 years old," King explained. "Now, there are some things that we know about Gen Z. They're digital natives. They grew up with iPads and iPhones. They grew up connected to technology."
And research shows that could be why Gen Z is seen as losing their religion. The American Survey Center calls a third of this age group 'religious nones', meaning no religious affiliation. That's why King and his team are focused on reaching Generation Z with the gospel. "It is essential we preach and teach the Bible and share the good news of the love of God to them when they're young – before the world has a chance to beat them up – chew them up and spit them out," King said. This year, more than 3,000 campers accepted Jesus as their personal savior at Crossroads Summer Camp. "I finally felt something different – fulfilled with Christ's Holy Spirit," said one camper in her video testimony. King attributes this surge in salvations to the goodness of God compared to what the world has to offer. King's wife, Sharie, and co-founder of their separate nonprofit called Clayton King Ministries says she sees the Holy Spirit moving in each student's decision to choose Jesus. (CBN) Read more here.
