Trump Indicted Over Efforts to Challenge 2020 Election Results
|
|
A grand jury in Washington approved felony charges on Aug. 1 against former President Donald Trump in connection with his efforts to dispute the results of the 2020 election and with the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
According to the indictment, Mr. Trump faces four federal charges arising out of a probe by special counsel Jack Smith: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy to deprive citizens of the “free exercise” of constitutional rights.
This is the second indictment arising from Mr. Smith’s investigation. The former president is separately facing 40 counts relating to the alleged retention of classified documents at his home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla.
The Trump campaign described the new indictment as a politically motivated attack.
“This is nothing more than the latest corrupt chapter in the continued pathetic attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their weaponized Department of Justice to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election, in which President Trump is the undisputed frontrunner and leading by substantial margins,” a Trump campaign spokesperson said in an email.
“But why did they wait 2 1/2 years to bring these fake charges, right in the middle of President Trump’s winning campaign for 2024? Why was it announced the day after the big crooked Joe Biden scandal broke out from the halls of Congress?” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

We ask You to expose all of the faults in this indictment accusation, in Jesus name. May every fault be as wide as a canyon, filled with inaccuracies, falsehoods and dubious proofs, leading to the clear elimination of this obviously distracting indictment, in Jesus name. It is almost like clockwork – the closer they come to exposing Joe Biden and his family's corrupt business dealings, the quicker they trot out another indictment or salacious accusation against President Trump. One day, the wolf will come and justice will be served, in Jesus name.

The Legal Cases Against Trump Explained
|
|
Former President Donald Trump is running for the White House while facing three indictments and one more criminal investigation. Never before has a former president been criminally charged—much less a frontrunner in another presidential race.
As the remaining investigation gets closer to possible charges and the indicted ones inch closer to trials, Mr. Trump has repeatedly pledged that he would continue his campaign even if convicted.
January 6 Case
On Aug. 1, Mr. Smith revealed his indictment of Mr. Trump in the January 6 investigation. He charged the former president with conspiracy to “impair, obstruct, and defeat” the collection and counting of electoral votes, conspiracy against Americans’ right to vote, obstruction of the electoral vote counting by Congress on Jan. 6, 2021, and conspiracy to obstruct the electoral vote counting.
Mr. Trump said he was informed on July 16 that he was a target of a grand jury investigation in relation to the January 6 incident.
Mr. Trump has argued that if indicted, the proceedings would give him an opportunity to expose information about improprieties in the election. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Hunter’s Business Partner Contradicts President’s Claim of No Business Involvement
|
|
Then-Vice President Joe Biden communicated more than 20 times, either in person or on speakerphone, with Hunter Biden’s business associates, Devon Archer told a House committee on Monday.
Archer was the business partner of the son of the current president and testified to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee behind closed doors.
Archer said the then-vice president brought the most value to “the brand,” particularly in a deal with Ukranian energy firm Burisma, where Hunter Biden was a board member, according to the committee, which released a series of tweets after the testimony.
Archer’s testimony was a clear contradiction of the president’s repeated claims that he never communicated with his son about international business deals.
“Devon Archer’s testimony today confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved,” House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said in a public statement. “Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family.” (Daily Signal) Read more here.

Father God, we are asking you to move in not just our nation's capitol but in the US as a whole to move out of office any and all politicians who have been proven to be liers, those who have tried to deceive their constituents.

1. Russian drone attacks 40,000 tons of Ukrainian grain destined for Israel - Jerusalem Post
Russian drone attacks early on Wednesday damaged almost 40,000 tons of grains which were expected by countries in Africa and also in China and Israel, Ukrainian deputy prime minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said.
Russian state news agency RIA said overnight Russian strikes on the Ukrainian port of Izmail had hit port and grain infrastructure housing foreign mercenaries and military hardware, as well as a naval ship repair yard.
RIA cited Sergei Lebedev, a man it described as a coordinator of an underground group in the Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv and who it said had sources in Izmail, Ukraine's main inland port across the Danube River from Romania. (Read more)

2. IDF chief tours Lebanon border in shadow of increased Hezbollah conflict - Jerusalem Post
Israel’s top army brass and its president visited the Lebanese border Wednesday amid heightened tensions with the Iranian proxy group Hezbollah, as France reportedly worked to prevent an outbreak of hostilities.
The Lebanese people “don't deserve the Iranian spell that kills and ruins many parts of their country. They definitely don't deserve the involvement of Hezbollah, which undermines their stability and well-being,” he said.
Separately IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi visited the northern border accompanied by IDF Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Uri Gordon and Galil Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Shai Kalfer.
During the visit, Halevi observed the status of the IDF’s ongoing project to build a more substantial fence alongside a series of security obstacles to augment the barrier. (Read more)

3. At Lebanese border, Herzog warns Hezbollah not to test IDF - JNS
Israel’s President Isaac Herzog visited a military post on the Lebanon border on Wednesday, delivering a stern message to Hezbollah amid increased provocations by the Iran-backed terror group.
“Let no one among our enemies be mistaken—especially Hezbollah across the border. The IDF is very strong, organized and ready for any scenario,” Herzog posted to the X social-media platform, formerly known as Twitter.
“The State of Israel will continue to maintain its sovereignty and the peace of its citizens. To our neighbors, citizens of Lebanon, I say: We see your country collapsing and we extend our hands for peace. You do not deserve that Iran and Hezbollah will destroy your country.” (Read more)

4. Armed clashes erupt overnight between PA forces and terror group fighters in Jenin - Times of Israel
Armed clashes erupted between the Palestinian Authority’s security forces and members of local armed terror groups on the streets of Jenin Tuesday night.
The fighting broke out in reaction to the PA’s arrest of two gunmen in the West Bank town of Jaba’, some 25 kilometers (16 miles) south of Jenin, according to the Hamas-affiliated news website Shehab.
Following the arrests, armed assailants reportedly attacked the headquarters of the Jenin governorate, the local seat of the PA administration, prompting clashes with the PA security forces. The confrontation then moved to the Jenin refugee camp, where the PA forces opened fire and threw tear gas at the gunmen, storming into the local hospital, according to videos circulating on social media. 5. Israel, Zambia forge deals as Jerusalem pushes into Africa; presidents to meet in Jerusalem - World Israel News
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen met in Jerusalem on Monday with his Zambian counterpart Stanley Kakubo, with the two signing several cooperation agreements.
“Africa is blossoming, and so is the potential for relations between Israel and countries on the continent,” said Cohen, adding: “Zambia is an important nation for Israel in Africa, which is interested in strengthening relations with us.”
The top diplomats signed agreements to strengthen ties in the spheres of medicine, communications, agriculture and culture.
Last week, Cohen and his counterpart from the Ivory Coast, Kandia Camara, signed framework deals in the fields of agriculture, water and technology. (Read more)

. VA Reverses Course, Won’t Force Doctors and Nurses to Perform Abortions - Daily Citizen
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is doing an about face, announcing it will not force doctors and nurses to perform abortions that violate their religious views.
The news comes because of a lawsuit, filed by Stephanie Carter, who is a nurse practitioner at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Center in Temple, Texas.
On September 2, 2022, the VA issued a rule permitting pregnant veterans and their beneficiaries to get abortions in VA facilities.
The VA said it would perform abortions “when the life or health of a pregnant Veteran would be endangered if the pregnancy were carried to term, or when the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.”
But Stephanie Carter, an Army veteran who works at a VA facility, could not in good conscience agree to assist, in any way, the performance of an abortion or abortion counseling. As a Christian, Carter believes in the sanctity of human life and sees every child – born and unborn – as made in the imago dei. (Read more)

2. Biden administration launches new income-driven student debt repayment plan - CNN
The Biden administration is launching a beta website for its new income-driven student loan repayment plan today, officials told CNN, allowing borrowers to begin submitting applications for the program as federal student loan payments are set to resume in October.
The SAVE, or Saving on a Valuable Education, plan was finalized after the Supreme Court struck down President Joe Biden’s student debt forgiveness initiative in June. It marks a significant change to the federal student loan system that could lower monthly loan payments for some borrowers and reduce the amount they pay back over the lifetime of their loans.
“Part of the president’s overall commitment is to improve the student loan system and reduce the burden of student loan debt on American families,” a senior administration official said, previewing the beta website first to CNN. “The SAVE plan is a big part of that. It is important in this moment as borrowers are getting ready to return to repayment.” (Read more)

3. US officials search for hidden Chinese malware that could affect military operations - MSN
S officials are searching for Chinese malware hidden in various defense systems that could disrupt military communications and resupply operations, The New York Times reported Saturday.
The administration believes malicious computer code has been hidden inside “networks controlling power grids, communications systems and water supplies that feed military bases,” officials told the Times. The discovery has heightened concerns that hackers could “disrupt US military operations in the event of a conflict,” according to the Times. The two nations have been increasingly at odds over Taiwan as well as over China’s actions in the Indo-Pacific.
One congressional official told the newspaper that the malware was “a ticking time bomb” that could allow China to cut off power, water and communications to military bases, slowing deployments and resupply operations. Because military bases often share the same supply infrastructure as civilian homes and businesses, many other Americans could also be affected, officials told the Times. (Read more)

4. Devon Archer to Tucker Carlson: Biden Brand Is ‘Abuse of Soft Power’ - Brietbart
The Biden brand is an “abuse of soft power,” Devon Archer told Tucker Carlson during an interview released Wednesday on Twitter. Archer was Hunter Biden’s best friend in business. Together they sat on Burisma Holding’s board and co-founded BHR Partners, a Chinese state-backed investment fund.
“Obviously, the brand of Biden, you know, adds a lot of power when you’re dad’s vice president,” Archer told Carlson. Archer told House investigators on Monday that Hunter Biden included then-Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone more than 20 times with business associates to sell “the brand.” One of those called included a dinner in China with Jonathan Li of BHR Partners. 5. Cops arrest young Christians reading the BIBLE outside drag queen event for kids - DML News
On Tuesday, a viral video circulated showing Christian protesters being arrested last weekend outside a drag queen event at the “Pride in the Park” celebration in Watertown, Wisconsin: Ben Zeisloft of The Republic Sentinel reports that the young man in the video is Marcus Schroeder. Another young man, Nick Proell, was detained but released soon after with a warning.
The man who filmed the video, Jason Storms, said the two young men were part of a group from Mercy Seat Christian Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The young people were among a group of over 200 people gathered to protest the drag show targeted toward children.
Police reportedly objected to the protest because the Christians were reading the Bible using a microphone and loudspeakers without a permit. (Read more)

6. FBI locates 200 sex trafficking victims, identifies 196 suspects in nationwide campaign - Just The News
The FBI located 200 sex trafficking victims, including 59 children, and identified or arrested 196 suspects during a two-week operation in July involving state and local partners, the federal agency announced.
The campaign, dubbed Operation Cross Country, also located 59 actively missing children, the Justice Department said Tuesday. Officials said 126 suspects of child sexual exploitation and human trafficking offenses were arrested or identified and 68 trafficking suspects were identified or arrested.
“Human traffickers prey on the most vulnerable members of our society, and their crimes scar victims – many of them children – for life," FBI Director Christopher Wray said. "The FBI's commitment to combatting this threat will never waver, and we will continue to send our message that these atrocities will not be tolerated." (Read more)

7. Judge overseeing Trump 2020 election case donated thousands to Obama - Just The News
The federal judge overseeing special counsel Jack Smith's prosecution of former President Donald Trump over the 2020 election donated thousands of dollars to elect Barack Obama as president.
D.C. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, a 2014 Obama appointee, is presiding over Trump's case after he was indicted Tuesday on four charges related to his alleged involvement in challenging the 2020 election and the subsequent Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Chutkan, 61, contributed nearly $4,300 to Obama's campaign and PAC in 2008 and 2012, Federal Election Commission data shows.
Chutkan ruled against Trump in 2021 when he sought to prevent the National Archives from giving documents to the Democrat-led House Jan. 6 Committee. Additionally, Chutkan is known for handing down the toughest sentences on Jan. 6 defendants, having sent all 11 riot defendants she has delt with in court to time behind bars, according to an analysis from The Associated Press in June. 8. Russia strikes Ukraine's Danube port, driving up global grain prices - Reuters
Russia attacked Ukraine's main inland port across the Danube River from Romania on Wednesday, sending global food prices higher as it ramped up its use of force to prevent Ukraine from exporting grain.
The drone attacks destroyed buildings in the port of Izmail and halted ships as they prepared to arrive there to load with Ukrainian grain in defiance of a de-facto blockade Russia reimposed in mid-July.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said the Russian attacks damaged almost 40,000 tons of grain which had been destined for countries in Africa as well as China and Israel.
"Moscow is waging a battle for a global catastrophe," President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address.
"In their madness, they need world food markets to collapse, they need a price crisis, they need disruptions in supplies." (Read more)

9. Niger crisis deepens as European nations evacuate and coup leaders get support from other juntas - AP
NIAMEY, Niger (AP) — A French military transport plane carrying Europeans from Niger arrived in Paris Wednesday, in the first such evacuation flight since mutinous soldiers ousted the country’s democratically elected president nearly a week ago and shut its borders.
France, Italy and Spain all announced evacuations from Niger for their citizens and other European nationals, concerned that they risked becoming trapped by the coup that won backing Tuesday from three other West African nations also ruled by mutinous soldiers.
About 600 French nationals want to leave, along with 400 people of other nationalities from Belgians to Danish, French officials said. The first flight carried mostly French nationals, and officials hope to finish the evacuation flights by Wednesday. (Read more)

Whenever there is a tragic mass shooting, the leftist Democrats and disarmament folks come out of the woodwork like clockwork. “We need more gun control,” they scream. But there is a little-known dirty secret that they avoid like blaming the COVID plague on China: In Chicago, there is a mass shooting every weekend. But Chicago is run by Democrats. Chicago is among the most stringent gun-controlled cities in America. Chicago bans assault weapons and high capacity magazines. Chicago has a licensing requirement for gun owners. Chicago has a red flag law and a 72-hour waiting period on gun purchases. As of July 25, 330 people had been killed in Chicago, according to the Sun Times homicide tracker.
Every weekend there are dozens of shootings and many people killed in Chicago. One could make the case that every week, Chicago has mass shootings. They range from single shootings to drive by shootings to gang war shootings. A couple of weeks ago, somebody drove by a group of classmates that were gathered outside after a high school reunion, killing the mother of an Ohio State football player. Yet, Chicago makes every effort to take guns away from people, proving that making laws against gun ownership only affects the law-abiding. Criminals don’t care about the law. 1936 heat wave set records that still stand today

Nearly 90 years ago, a record-setting heat wave roasted the Plains, Midwest and Northeast, and set state temperature records that haven't yet been beat
.
It was nearly 90 years ago when stifling heat, drought conditions, dust storms and damage to crops and cattle -- all on top of the years-long Great Depression -- caused unfathomable damage for millions of Americans, particularly those in areas of the United States that came to be known as the Dust Bowl, spanning the years 1934 to 1937.
High-temperature records that still stand to this day were set in 13 states during the month of July 1936, including 121 degrees in Kansas and North Dakota, and 120 degrees in Oklahoma and South Dakota. All-time records reached as far east as Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Intense heat expanded the number of areas facing drought conditions and massive dust storms resulted in official estimates of at least 5,000 deaths nationwide that summer.
“The longevity of a heat wave has a big effect. I think a lot of deaths were unreported because they did not classify deaths the way we do today,” said AccuWeather Founder Dr. Joel Myers in 2021. “It may have been 50,000 people. Read More

Gender Clinics’ Shutting Down Due to Red State Bans

|
Anew report shows that laws enacted by red states to ban so-called “gender transition” surgeries and other procedures have severely impacted clinics and other facilities that previously provided such treatment. As reported by the Daily Caller, the study in the American Medical Association’s JAMA shows that, out of 271 gender clinics across the country, at least 70 are now “inactive” due to bans implemented by 20 different states. The survey also confirms that at least 30 percent of all minors between the age of 13 and 17 who believe themselves to be “transgender,” a total of roughly 89,100, are currently living in states with such restrictions.
A federal bill to ban such “sex change” procedures at the national level was recently introduced by Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio); the legislation would make it a Class C felony to knowingly provide hormone treatments, puberty blockers, and genital mutilation surgeries to a minor. Those convicted under this law would face a prison sentence ranging from 10 to 25 years, or a maximum fine of $250,000. Transgenderism is a mental disorder in which an individual incorrectly believes themselves to somehow be the opposite gender of the one they were actually born as.
