North Korea's Kim Jong-Un orders sharp missile production increase, wants power to 'surely annihilate' enemies
|
|
North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un has ordered a massive increase in the production of missiles and other weapons after touring major munitions factories over the weekend, state media said Monday. The announcement comes just days ahead of the South Korean and U.S. militaries beginning joint drills next week to strengthen their partnership amid the North’s continued nuclear threats.
The Korean Central News Agency said the North’s leader visited factories producing missiles, mobile launch platforms, armored vehicles and artillery shells on Friday and Saturday. At one of the missile factories, Kim ordered it to "drastically boost" its production capabilities so match the war-ready needs of front-line military units, KCNA reported.
"The qualitative level of war preparations depends on the development of the munitions industry and the factory bears a very important responsibility in speeding up the war preparations of the (North) Korean People’s Army," Kim said, per KCNA. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You for the millions of Christians who have been praying over this hurricane ever since it was posted last weekend.
We thank You for answers to prayer, so that, over time and quickly, the intensity of this storm decreaseded from a Category 4 to a Cat 3 to a Cat 1 . . . so that now, it is hitting the mainland as only a tropical storm. We even received. one report from an intercessor in San Diego, as follows:
"As we proclaimed the Word of God over the storm, and rebuked enemy plans against California, the Lord showed me He was dispatching His weather angels to perform our words. They were battling powers and principalities in the second heavens on our behalf. As we worshipped, the hurricane was downgraded from a 4 to a 3 to a 1"
We ask protection for all who are now in its path, as this storm works its way up the inland from southern California to Nevada to Oregon and Idaho. Thank You, O Lord, for answering our prayers, in Your name, amen and amen!
- "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

US Court of Appeals Strikes Down Use of Jail and Probation for Jan. 6 ‘Parading’ Misdemeanor
|
|
A federal appeals court on Aug. 18 struck down the use of so-called “split sentences” in Jan. 6 cases—imposing both prison and probation for petty-offense misdemeanors such as the often-used charge of “parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.”
The 2–1 ruling (pdf) by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit could affect a large number of Jan. 6 cases where the U.S. Department of Justice recommended—and district judges imposed—sentences with jail and probation for “parading” convictions.
The appeal involved the conviction of James Leslie Little, 52, of Claremont, North Carolina, on a single count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building. . . .
Judge Walker—appointed to the bench by President Donald Trump—was joined by Senior Circuit Judge Judith Rogers—an appointee of President Bill Clinton—in the majority opinion. Dissenting was Circuit Judge Robert Wilkins, who was appointed by President Barack Obama.
The Court of Appeals vacated Mr. Little’s sentence and remanded the case back to U.S. District Court for resentencing. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, we are asking that this case would be vacated (made null/void) and instead of remanding it back to US District Court for re-sentencing, we ask that all charges be DROPPED in Jesus name! We stand on the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights which reads:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Abba, please let this man be released, and all charges dropped. And please do this for the other 900+ political patriot prisoners in the Washington DC Gulag! Please let them be PARDONED and may they be SET FREE!
"For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary;
From heaven the LORD viewed the earth,
To hear the groaning of the prisoner,
To release those appointed to death," (Psalm 102: 19-20)

1. Minister says Israel may be open to Saudi uranium enrichment under normalization deal - Times of Israel
Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, a close confidant of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has indicated that Israel may be open to the possibility of acquiescing to Saudi Arabia’s reported demand to build a civil nuclear power plant, as part of a US-brokered normalization deal with Jerusalem.
Netanyahu’s office later issued a clarification downplaying, although a source close to the premier was quoted by Hebrew media reiterating that Israel “doesn’t rule out” the idea of Riyadh enriching uranium.
In an interview with PBS posted on Friday, Dermer drew the distinction between pursuing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and nuclear weapons. (Read more)

2. Ukraine warns Israel: Maltreatment of refugees will cost you Uman - Jerusalem Post
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyissued a warning to Israel on Friday regarding visas for Ukrainians seeking to enter Israel.
In a statement from his weekly briefing to Ukrainians, and published on the Ukrainian president’s official government website, Zelensky said, ”I listened to the report of the Border Guard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Intelligence regarding the treatment of our citizens – immigrants who are in different countries, and regarding visa regimes. The things that the citizens of Ukraine actually face in the visa issue. Managers responsible for these issues have been given appropriate tasks. The rights of Ukrainian citizens must be guaranteed.”
Yevgen Korniychuk, Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel, elucidated the statement, asserting that it was directed at Israel.
“The government of Ukraine will not tolerate humiliation of its citizens while entering Israel. We will halt our bilateral visa waiver agreements as stipulated by Article 7 of the intergovernmental agreement. This option is on the table of our government,” Korniychuk said. “It is unthinkable,” he added, “that we will have to go out of our way to host tens of thousands of Israelis in Uman, with a high-security risk, and with a huge logistical effort, when, on the other hand, the Israeli government abuses our citizens who come to Israel within the framework of the treaty between the two countries.” (Read more)

4. IDF shoots masked settler during unrest following deadly terror attack - World Israel News
An Israeli citizen was shot and moderately wounded by IDF forces hours after the deadly terror shooting of an Israeli father and son in Huwara, during reported unrest involving settlers from nearby communities after the murders.
The Saturday afternoon murders of Silas Shai Nigrakar, 60, and his son, Aviad Nir, 28, were just the latest victims in a string of deadly terror attacks originating from the Palestinian Authority-controlled enclave in recent months.
Earlier this year, brothers Hillel and Yagel Yaniv were murdered by terrorists in Huwara, and American citizen David Stern was shot and seriously wounded in a separate incident in the town. Numerous other shooting incidents and car-ramming attacks have also occurred.
Late Saturday evening following the murders, Israeli citizens from nearby Jewish settlements reportedly lit fires in Huwara and threw rocks at homes and vehicles. There were no injuries reported during the unrest. (Read more)

5. Intact 3,800-Year-Old Mudbrick Passageway with Supported Vault Discovered in Jezreel Valley - Jewish Press
Archaeologists at the Tel Shimron Excavations in the Jezreel Valley in northern Israel have uncovered an exquisitely preserved vaulted passageway from approximately 3,800 years ago. The remarkable find represents the first use of a corbelled (supported) mudbrick vault in a passageway in the southern Levant, providing a key missing link in the history of the arch in the region.
The corbelled vault, an architectural technique where layered bricks are progressively stepped inward to create a gradually narrowing roof, was commonly used at sites in Mesopotamia, and this is the first time such mudbrick construction has been found in a passageway in the southern Levant.
Archaeologists at Tel Shimron excavated a tower composed of more than a thousand well-preserved mudbricks standing over five meters high on the southern side of the acropolis of the ancient city. The center of the structure contains a narrow corridor leading to the vaulted mudbrick passageway. The passageway, more than two meters long, leads down into the city via mudbrick stairs and features a corbelled roof made of unfired brick adorned with white chalk stripes. (Read more)

1: Tom Cotton Reveals What He Really Thinks Is Behind DOJ’s Move To Refile Charges Against Hunter Biden - Daily Caller
Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas took to Twitter to sound off on Friday’s news that the Department of Justice (DOJ) moved to refile tax-related charges against Hunter Biden in a different venue after his plea deal fell apart in Delaware.
The DOJ announced Friday that it would voluntarily vacate two tax charges against Hunter Biden without prejudice in order to refile the charges in the Central District of California or in Washington, D.C, rather than in Delaware. Cotton suggested that the DOJ moved to refile the charges against President Joe Biden’s son so that a more sympathetic judge adjudicates the matter and signs off on a lenient deal with Hunter’s attorneys, weeks after Judge Maryellen Noreika rejected a plea deal in a Wilmington, Delaware, court in July that some legal experts described as a “joke” and a “sweetheart deal.”
“Biden’s DOJ wants to dismiss the charges against Hunter, supposedly to refile them elsewhere, no doubt before some liberal judge who will rubber-stamp a sweetheart deal,” Cotton wrote. “Remember, when Biden’s DOJ and Hunter’s lawyers meet, they’re not negotiating. They’re conspiring.” (Read more)

2: House Oversight Chairman James Comer Calls Special Counsel Appointment Part Of A DOJ ‘Coverup’ - Daily Caller
House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer released a statement Friday after Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss as special counsel for the Hunter Biden criminal investigation, calling it a Department of Justice (DOJ) “coverup.”
Shortly after Garland announced Weiss’s appointment as special counsel, Comer released a lengthy statement slamming the Attorney General and the DOJ for picking Weiss and said the Oversight Committee will continue their investigation into the Biden family.
“This move by Attorney General Garland is part of the Justice Department’s efforts to attempt a Biden family coverup in light of the House Oversight Committee’s mounting evidence of President Joe Biden’s role in his family’s schemes selling ‘the brand’ for millions of dollars to foreign nationals. The Justice Department’s misconduct and politicization in the Biden criminal investigation already allowed the statute of limitations to run with respect to egregious felonies committed by Hunter Biden. Justice Department officials refused to follow evidence that could have led to Joe Biden, tipped off the Biden transition team and Hunter Biden’s lawyers about planned interviews and searches, and attempted to sneakily place Hunter Biden on the path to a sweetheart plea deal,” Comer said in a statement. 3: Judge Orders 3 Southwest Lawyers Take Religious Liberty Training After Trampling On First Amendment - Daily Caller
A federal judge ordered three Southwest Airlines lawyers to undergo “religious-liberty training” after it fired an attendant who had anti-abortion beliefs, according to reports.
U.S. District Judge Brantley Starr said the lawyers who defied court orders should brush up on their First Amendment knowledge at the Christian group “Alliance Defending Freedom,” ruling the organization “is particularly well-suited” to teach them, according to the New York Post. Starr said the three lawyers did not understand federal protections for religious freedom, Fortune reported.
Charlene Carter sued the airline after she was fired following more than 20 years on the job. Carter posted several social media posts criticizing the union boss who attended a pro-abortion “Women’s March” in 2017. (Read more)

4: Biden nods to Camp David history by inviting Yoon, Kishida - Reuters
President Joe Biden will push Camp David into the international spotlight on Friday when he hosts the leaders of Japan and South Korea there, a return to glory for a mountain retreat that has become indelible in diplomatic history.
Biden chose the rustic redoubt in the Maryland hills for the first U.S.-Japan-South Korea summit because Camp David has often been used to symbolize newfound or hard-won friendship, a senior administration official said.
"Certainly in the case of this summit, we envision Camp David kind of marking a new beginning for all of us as trilateral partners among the U.S., ROK (South Korea) and Japan. So we think the symbolism is heavy here and really can't be overstated," the official said.
Biden, Japan's Fumio Kishida and South Korea's Yoon Suk Yeol are expected to meet in the historic Laurel Lodge. Their working lunch is expected to take place in the President’s Cabin, Aspen Lodge, and if the weather is good an afternoon press conference will take place outdoors in the woodsy setting. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that Your Spirit would bring cohesion to this summit, as in the past these two governments have not always gotten along. Let all anger that is in the past be gone, and only truth and hope be brought forth in these talks. We bind all actions of these governments, including our own, that are not in Your will and ask that Your mercy and love be shown.
- “For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” (James 2:13)

5: Biden Oversees Record Border Crossers in U.S. with Unresolved Asylum Claims, Outpacing Populations of 11 States - Breitbart
Under President Joe Biden’s watch, now more than 1.6 million border crossers are in the United States with unresolved asylum claims. The majority, based on federal data, will have their asylum claims denied.
The data, reviewed and published by Andrew Arthur of the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), reveals the extent to which Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is carrying out an expansive catch and release network, releasing tens of thousands of border crossers into the U.S. interior every month — most with dubious asylum claims.
As of March, there are now more than 1.6 million border crossers in the U.S. with unresolved asylum claims, Arthur details:
That’s more applicants that residents in 11 U.S. states, and an insurmountable burden for adjudicators, as the Biden administration has effectively broken the asylum system, and seeks to hide the damage.
[Emphasis added]
According to Arthur, “Biden’s DHS has released nearly every alien [Customs and Border Patrol] has encountered at the southwest border.” In hundreds of thousands of cases, border crossers in the U.S. will not have their claims adjudicated for nearly a decade. (Read more)
- Father, no nation can stand with open borders that harm our citizens and families, not to mention the migrants. We pray for an answer directly from Your Throne to deal with this situation.

6. Hawaii’s Green Agenda — And Questionable Decisions — Primed The State For One Of The Deadliest Wildfires In History - Daily Caller
While climate hawks were quick to blame the tragic Hawaiian fires on climate change, some of the state’s green policies and questionable decision-making before and during the tragedy helped set the stage for a disaster that has so far claimed over 100 lives.
Along with other Democrats and some members of the media, Democratic Gov. Josh Green repeatedly suggested in the wake of the disaster that climate change and its effects were the primary cause, with Green himself stating explicitly that climate change is “the ultimate reason that so many people perished.” However, a growing list of actions and green policy decisions made by elected and unelected officials of key Hawaiian institutions, public and private, in the years leading up to the fires appear to have played a major role.
For years before the fires, government agencies understood that Western Maui, the hardest-hit area, was particularly susceptible to wildfires because of high concentrations of non-native grasses in the area, according to The New York Times. An assessment report from 2020 stated that the region had a 90% chance of wildfires each year on average, a percentage calculated with the pervasive non-native dry grasses in mind. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that as the causes and actions that fed this horrific fire are known, let no more lies and untruths be allowed to spread. Let the “green agenda” fail, and let the truth of their actions be brought into the Light.

7. Trump-Appointed Judge Declines To Block Florida Law Banning Chinese Nationals From Owning Property - Daily Caller
A federal judge in Florida declined Thursday to block the state’s law restricting Chinese nationals from purchasing certain land and property within the state.
U.S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of Florida Allen Winsor, a Trump appointee, declined to issue a preliminary injunction blocking the law while the lawsuit is pending, finding the plaintiffs were not likely to succeed on their claims. A group of Chinese citizens living in Florida, backed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, sued the state in May, alleging the law violated the Constitution’s equal protection guarantees and the Fair Housing Act.
“The problem for Plaintiffs is that, as noted above, Florida’s law does not make any classification based on ‘race, color, religion, sex, familial status, or national origin,'” the judge wrote. “It instead classifies based on alienage, citizenship, and lawful-permanent resident status — none of which are covered by the FHA.”
The law, signed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis on May 8, prevents individuals from China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Syria from purchasing agricultural land and property within 10 miles of “any military installation or critical infrastructure facility.” It contains an exception allowing citizens of other countries who have a valid non-tourist visa or who have been granted asylum to purchase a residential property up to two acres, as long as it is not within five miles of a military installation. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that You will continue to protect our farmland and prevent spying on our military installations. We thank You that this judge saw the truth behind the Florida law and was able to rule accordingly.

8. Veto Overrides: NC Legislature Protects Gender-Confused Minors, Parental Rights, and Women's Sports - The Washington Stand
The North Carolina legislature held a veto override bonanza Wednesday, enacting at least five bills over the objections of Governor Roy Cooper (D). Among these were bills to protect minors from the harmful effects of irreversible gender reassignment procedures, guarantee parental rights in education, and clarify that women’s sports are for women.
HB 808 makes it “unlawful for a medical professional to perform a surgical gender transition procedure on a minor or to prescribe, provide, or dispense puberty-blocking drugs or cross-sex hormones to a minor,” with an exception for a “course of treatment” begun before August 1. It enforces this prohibition through a private cause of action and license revocation. The act also implements conscience protections for medical providers who object to performing gender reassignment procedures, and it prevents the use of state funds for gender reassignment procedures on a minor.
“Recognizing the serious and the potentially permanent effects of the procedures that this bill addresses, it simply says they need to wait until they’re 18 to make that kind of a decision,” said N.C. State Rep. Hugh Blackwell (R). (Read more)

Rep. Gaetz Introduces Bill to Censure, Investigate Judge in Trump 2020 Election Case
|
|
|
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) is introducing a resolution to censure U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan and open an investigation into her “for showing open bias and partisanship in her official duties on the bench.”
Judge Chutkan is overseeing a case against former President Donald Trump, brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for conspiracy in his challenge of the 2020 election results. She has already overseen many other cases related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol protest, which is being investigated by special counsel Jack Smith. About 1,000 people have already been sentenced for crimes related to the day’s events, and Judge Chutkan has been known to hand down harsh prison sentences.
“Judge Tanya Chutkan’s extreme sentencing of January 6th defendants, while openly supporting the violent Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, showcases a complete disregard for her duty of impartiality and the rule of law,” Mr. Gaetz said.
He appeared to be referring to remarks the judge made in one Jan. 6-related sentencing.
“People gathered all over the country last year to protest the violent murder by the police of an unarmed man,” she said, referencing violent riots that erupted after the death of George Floyd. “To compare the actions of people protesting, mostly peacefully, for civil rights, to those of a violent mob seeking to overthrow the lawfully elected government is a false equivalency and ignores a very real danger that the January 6 riot posed to the foundation of our democracy.”
Mr. Gaetz’s resolution points to a few other cases of “open partisanship,” including the fact that the Obama-appointed district judge had donated thousands of dollars to his presidential campaign, and that during another Jan. 6-related sentencing she “lamented” that President Trump “remains free to this day.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Holy One, You are the just judge of our nation and we appeal to You for justice according to Your word and our Constitution, in Jesus name. We pray for this judge to encounter the Holy Judge and fall to her knees in repentance while crying out for salvation. We bind her bitter judgments and harsh, biased actions in Jesus name and speak life and hope over those who've received wrath in her courtroom. We pray O King, for this bill to move forward effectively, giving opportunity for members of Congress to draw a line in the sand. 'Huge Victory': 5th Circuit Rules Against Mailing Abortion Pills and Ignoring Women's Injuries |
|
|
|
The Biden administration suffered a major setback, as a federal appeals court has ruled the abortion industry cannot send the abortion pill through the mail, nor ignore the life-threatening harms suffered by the women who take it. The unanimous decision, which pro-life advocates say could save tens of thousands of lives, likely places the pro-life movement and the abortion lobby on another collision course for the Supreme Court.
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New Orleans, ruled against laxer safety standards placed on the abortion pill by the Obama and Biden administrations. In the case, Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. U.S. Food and Drug Administration, a collection of doctors and OB-GYNs represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom argued the FDA had negligently abused its expedited approval of the chemical abortion drug mifepristone in 2000 for political purposes.
The panel believed the doctors waited too long to file a legal challenge, as the statute of limitations had likely expired. But it overturned abortion expansions made in 2021 by the Biden administration and in 2016 by the Obama-Biden administration. (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

Pro-life leader accuses Biden DOJ of weaponizing FACE Act to cover up infanticide
|
|
|
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — A “progressive” pro-life activist is calling out the Department of Justice for weaponizing the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act against peaceful pro-lifers in order to cover up infanticide committed by notorious abortionist Cesare Santangelo.
Five of the nine original defendants are currently on trial, with each facing up to 11 years in prison if convicted with federal charges for a rescue effort to save unborn babies at the Washington-Surgi Clinic in downtown Washington, D.C., in October 2020, run by Santangelo.
Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) director Lauren Handy, 28; Jonathan Darnel, 40; Jay Smith, 32; Paulette Harlow, 73; Jean Marshall, 72; John Hinshaw, 67, Heather Idoni, 61; William Goodman, 52; and pro-life heroine Joan Bell, 74, were charged with conspiracy against rights and violation of the FACE Act for what the DOJ described as a “blockade” of the abortion mill.
Herb Geraghty, a 25-year-old woman who identifies as a man but staunchly opposes abortion, was charged separately for her involvement in the same rescue effort.
The pro-lifers say their efforts were entirely peaceful, and aimed at saving babies’ lives. (Read more)

‘We are winning’: The populist revolt against the global elite’s depopulation agenda
|
|
|
(LifeSiteNews) –– In a recent broadcast, American commentator Larry Alex Taunton describes how he uncovered the real meaning of the fine words used to market a global, anti-human agenda.
Taking in the attacks on food security, the destabilization of nations through mass immigration, and the horrific impact of a deliberate program to reduce the human population, Staunton stresses the importance of decoding the innocent sounding phrases used to transmit this inhuman agenda.
He recounts his experience as “a spy at the World Economic Forum” to anti-globalist Scottish political commentator Jim Ferguson, with both men agreeing that “humanity itself is at stake” in a struggle to establish a Godless world system which sees no essential value in human life.
Taunton was struck by the casual manner in which innocent sounding code words for a terrifying global agenda were exchanged at the WEF’s summit in Davos, Switzerland, which he attended. (Read more here)

Ferguson smiles when he says that “We are winning the narrative war.” He closes the interview with a promise to photograph himself before the statue of William Wallace, whose famous cry of “freedom” was immortalized by Mel Gibson in Braveheart.
These are two who know the odds and whose commitment to the battle is inspiring. We are, as they say, in the midst of an information war with a political idea which sees its own people as an enemy to be pacified and even liquidated.
Cry freedom, and never give up the fight. As Ferguson and Taunton believe, together we can win. (Read more)

Evacuations surge to 12,000 as wildfires
tear through Tenerife
|
|
Over 12,000 people have been forced to flee their homes in Tenerife after wildfires tore through the Spanish Canary Island.
(CNN) — Over 12,000 people have been forced to flee their homes in Tenerife after wildfires tore through the Spanish Canary Island.
Police data showed the the number of evacuations surged from the 4,500 reported on Friday. Some 11 towns have been affected by the fires but tourist areas have been spared.
While worsening weather conditions that would “complicate firefighting operations” had initially been expected overnight Sunday, the night had been “quiet, with more favorable weather conditions than expected,” local government said.
Improved conditions had seen a return of a “certain normality” in firefighting operations, Tenerife firefighters said on X , formerly known as Twitter.
The fire currently covers an area of roughly 8,400 hectares (around 20757 acres), according to local authorities.
Tenerife firefighters called the emergency operations their “largest deployment in history.” They are being assisted by mainland emergency services and the Spanish military.

'The Hope Is Jesus': Signs of Hope Are Visible in Maui Despite Extreme Trauma
|
|
Nearly a week after the devastating Maui fires the relief effort is in full swing. Churches and numerous humanitarian aid groups, including CBN's Operation Blessing, are doing all they can to help the people of Maui find hope and new life after tragedy. One sign of hope, the Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina, built in 1846, appears to have survived untouched by the flames, even though burned houses are all around it. And hope is also what the staff of Harvest Kumulani Church near Lahaina, is trying to give people. "And the hope is Jesus, and our desire is to spread the love of Jesus," said Pastor Gabe Velasquez of Harvest Church. "I saw it on Sunday. We had an incredible service. We had over 600 people show up and that's without telling anybody and there's no cell service around here right now. You know, our God is the God of hope and he's a healer. And this place needs that more than anything."
Just last month, Harvest Kumulani's Sr. Pastor Greg Laurie and I walked down the streets of Lahaina that were busy with tourists and shoppers and stood under the famous banyan tree, a gift to the island in 1873 by Missionaries from India. Even though the flames consumed many of the historic landmarks, the tree, which covers almost two acres, appears to have survived. Pastor Laurie says, it's another sign of hope. "I think when we're rooted in Christ, we can survive anything. And that's really a picture of the people, especially the Christians on Maui. You know, their faith is strong, but many of them have lost literally everything. They have lost their homes, they have lost their livelihood and even more tragically, so many have lost their lives," he said. Pastor Laurie says he believes Harvest Kumulani, the Maui branch of his L.A.-based church, is there, for such a time as this. Read More for How to Help

- Father, we are devastated alongside our Christian brothers and sisters for the suffering that has fallen upon Maui. Bring Your sweet comfort, healing and abundant provision to the people of Maui as only You can. May hearts be touched and faces turned towards You, while believers serve, bringing HOPE to those in dire need. Bring many to the knowledge of Christ. May Your Name be glorified and lifted high for all restoration that will come upon Maui. In Jesus mighty name- Amen
- "Come, everyone who thirsts, some to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." (Isaiah 55:1)

"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3: 13,14)

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: Wilt Thou not revive us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee? Psalm 85:6
Lyrics:
We praise Thee, O God!
For the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus who died,
And is now gone above.
Refrain
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.
We praise Thee, O God!
For Thy Spirit of light,
Who hath shown us our Savior,
And scattered our night.
Refrain
All glory and praise
To the Lamb that was slain,
Who hath borne all our sins,
And hath cleansed every stain.
Refrain
All glory and praise
To the God of all grace,
Who hast bought us, and sought us,
And guided our ways.
Refrain
Revive us again;
Fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled
With fire from above.
