Biden says DNC anti-Israel agitators 'have a point,' rips Trump as 'not worthy' of Oval Office

President Biden delivered his highly anticipated address to the Democratic National Convention late Monday night and touched on a variety of subjects including strong criticisms of former President Trump and the conflict between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization in control of Gaza.
"Those, those protesters out in the street, they have a point," Biden told the crowd in the United Center after anti-Israel protesters marched on the convention calling for an end to the U.S. support of Israel. "A lot of innocent people are being killed on both sides."
"We're working around the clock," Biden said. "To end the civilian suffering of the Palestinian people and finally, finally, finally deliver a ceasefire and end this war."
"We're working around the clock. My Secretary of State, to prevent a wider war and reunite hostage to their families and surge humanitarian, health and food assistance into Gaza. Now. Biden committed ‘impeachable conduct,’ ‘defrauded United States to enrich his family’: House GOP report

House Oversight, Judiciary, Ways and Means committees have led impeachment inquiry against Biden
|
|
President Biden engaged in "impeachable conduct," House Republicans found in their months-long impeachment inquiry, declaring in their highly anticipated report that he "abused his office" and "defrauded the United States to enrich his family."
Fox News Digital obtained a copy of the 292-page report prepared by the House Oversight Committee, House Judiciary Committee and House Ways and Means Committee. Those panels have been leading the impeachment inquiry against Biden.
"The Committees have accumulated evidence demonstrating that President Biden has engaged in impeachable conduct," the report, which lays out evidence gathered to date, says.
Republicans said there is "overwhelming evidence" that Biden participated in a "conspiracy to monetize his office of public trust to enrich his family." They alleged that the Biden family and their business associates received tens of millions of dollars from foreign interests by "leading those interests to believe that such payments would provide them access to and influence with President Biden." The CEO of Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, reacted to Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic proposal last week, saying the government has "no business" controlling prices.
Bob Unanue told Fox News guest host Will Cain on "Jesse Watters Primetime" that the Biden-Harris administration has "started a war" against the middle class from fossil fuels to green energy since "day one."
"They're using a nail gun to put the last nails in the coffin of this economy and this country," he said. "From day one, they put in executive orders that set this country on a disastrous path."
Harris unveiled her economic agenda in North Carolina last week, proposing a $25,000 subsidy for first-time homebuyers, a price-fixing plan for food and groceries and a $6,000 child tax credit for families with a newborn in the first year of life.
"As president, I will take on the high costs that matter most to most Americans, like the cost of food. We all know that prices went up during the pandemic when the supply chains shut down and failed. But our supply chains have now improved. And prices are still too high," she said at the event.
Unanue told Cain there’s a problem whenever the government gets in the way of the free market.
Former President Trump took aim at Harris for her economic proposal at a rally in Pennsylvania, saying her plans would cause "rationing, hunger and skyrocketing prices. 1. IDF bombs Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, secondary explosions suggest ‘many’ weapons - JNS
Israeli jets struck several Hezbollah arms depots in the Bekaa Valley “deep in Lebanon,” the Israel Defense Forces stated on Monday evening.
Secondary explosions indicated “the presence of many weapons in the warehouses that were attacked,” the IDF stated in Hebrew. Reutersreported multiple civilian injuries.
Dramatic footage purporting to show the explosions and evoking large-scale fireworks displays circulated on social media.
The Israeli Air Force also killed Hossein Ali Hossein, “a key terrorist” in Hezbollah’s rocket and missile unit, in Southern Lebanon, the Israeli military said. (Read more)

2. Hamas, PIJ claim responsibility for failed Tel Aviv blast - Israel Hayom
The Israeli Police confirmed Monday that an explosion in Tel Aviv's Hatikva neighborhood Sunday night, which killed a man carrying a bag of explosives, was indeed a terror attack. The blast, which authorities say was caused by the premature detonation of the terrorist's explosive device, also left a bystander injured and caused damage to a truck parked nearby.
Investigators have identified the terrorist as a Palestinian man in his 50s from the West Bank.
The incident resulted in injuries to Leonid, 33, who was driving an electric scooter through the area at the time. He suffered moderate injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for surgery.
"I remember a sudden flash, which is still vivid in my mind," Leonid later recalled. "I've sustained several wounds and am awaiting surgery. I was riding quickly and didn't notice anyone suspicious. The force of the explosion threw me off my scooter. Initially, I thought it might have been a gas canister explosion. I've seen explosions before, but this one was different – there was fire and debris everywhere. I managed to continue for a few more yards before realizing I had been hit. A soldier came to my assistance and called for emergency services. Currently, I'm experiencing difficulty breathing and considerable pain." (Read more)

3. IDF to return exempt citizens to service - Israel National News
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has instructed to call back to service in the IDF those who were reservists and were exempt from service in the past due to force reductions, and are still of the ages required for service.
The decision came in light of a recent situation assessment and the scope of activity of the regular and reserve forces, and as part of a process the IDF is planning to expand the pool of servicemen. The IDF started, following Gallant's instruction, to approach relevant candidates who served in critical roles.
Those found suitable for return from exemption will be assigned to different units according to operational needs, the IDF said. (Read more)

4. Israel firm on holding onto Philadelphi Corridor after Netanyahu-Blinken meeting - Jerusalem Post
Israel stood firm on its insistent that the IDF must retain a military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US Secretary Antony Blinken in Jerusalem to discuss how to advance the hostage negotiations.
“The Prime Minister stands firmly by the principle that the IDF will physically remain on the Philadelphi Corridor that borders with Egypt to prevent the resupply of Hamas’s deadly weapons, “ government spokesperson David Mercer told reporters in Jerusalem.
“The negotiations continue,” he stated. “We are working to create a framework agreement based on the principles presented by the US in May to get our people home,” Mercer stressed. (Read more)

5. Scottish government says it will no longer meet with Israeli officials - World Israel News
The Scottish government said it will no longer meet with Israeli officials until Israel makes “real progress towards peace.”
External Affairs Secretary Angus Robertson issued a statement apologizing for meeting with Israeli envoy Daniela Grudsky.
Although the topic of the meeting was intended to be rising antisemitism, Robertson said that he took the opportunity to address the Scottish government’s position on the war in Gaza.
He wrote, “My view was that given the Israeli UK Deputy Ambassador had requested a meeting it was an opportunity to express the Scottish Government’s clear and unwavering position on the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and I did exactly that.”
He added, “No one intended that this meeting be presented as legitimatising the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza. The Scottish Government has been consistent in our unequivocal condemnation of the atrocities we have witnessed in Gaza.” (Read more)

4. Secret Service’s ‘Inexcusable’ J6 Failures Stem From Much Deeper Problems, Former Agents Say - Daily Caller
Leadership that completely ignores field agent concerns, combined with inconsistent communication protocols and a lack of preparation, lead to outcomes like the Secret Service’s failures on Jan. 6, 2021, former agents told the Daily Caller.
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released a report July 31 detailing the agency’s performance on the day of the Capitol riot. A fundamental breakdown in inter-agency correspondence led to disparities in intelligence gathering and coordination between the agency and the United States Capitol Police (USCP), the former agents said.
“The bottom line that caused it all is, whether it’s a combination of the Capitol Police and the Secret Service or ultimately, the entity responsible for protection, were not prepared, or did not anticipate accurately, the necessary manpower,” former Secret Service agent Dean Peterson told the Caller. “Because of it, they were kind of caught off guard, and that led to some poor, in-the-moment decisions.”
The potential for chaos was obvious, however, according to Peterson, which render the mishaps “inexcusable.”
“I’m shocked, I guess, by what the intelligence community may or may not be communicating. I would think … you don’t need to be a part of these things and have intimate knowledge to have this perspective of like, ‘Wow, this is an unusual election circumstance,'” Peterson said. (Read more)

Hispanic Evangelical leader Rev. Samuel Rodriguez and a Minnesota megachurch pastor have issued a joint statement denouncing the selection of Tim Walz as Vice President Kamala Harris' vice presidential running mate.
In a statement emailed to The Christian Post, Robert Ketterling, author and founding pastor of the multi-campus River Valley Church in Minnesota, and Rodriguez, a California pastor who heads the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, called the Walz selection a "strategic blunder that could spell disaster for her campaign."

The Prophetic Wind Swirling Around Israel

There is a prophetic wind swirling around Israel as we witness the ancient words of holy scripture playing out in historic fashion. Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11 is the Torah portion called Va’etchanan and it is read following the fast of Tishah B’Av, which began August 12th this year at sundown and continued until an hour after sundown on August 13th. Tishah B’Av is the saddest day of the Jewish year because it was on that date that the Sin of the Spies occurred, and both Temples were destroyed–among other national tragedies. Currently, Israel faces terrorist wars from Hamas, Hezbollah and others sponsored and/or supported by prophetic end-times nations Iran (Persia) and Turkey.
Moses warns the people not to fall into idolatry, for as Deuteronomy 4:24 says, “ADONAI God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.” This is repeated in Hebrews 12:29. Moses predicted that the people would serve other gods and enter into exile, but that the LORD would have compassion on them when they repent. Moses prophesied in Deuteronomy 4:30-31, “In your distress, when all these things have come upon you, in the acharit-hayamim (end of days), you will return to ADONAI your God and listen to what he says; for ADONAI your God is a merciful God.” Notice that Moses says that the mercy of God will restore Israel in the latter days when they are in distress—tribulation. President Joe Biden resorted to a slew of familiar hoaxes in his address Monday night to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago — not just the “very fine people hoax,” but also sevreal other familiar, long-debunked, hoaxes.
The “very fine people” hoax: Biden repeated his claim that then-President Donald Trump had referred to neo-Nazi protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017 as “very fine people.” In fact, Trump condemned them “totally.” This hoax has been repeatedly debunked. As Breitbart News reported, Biden was shown the door after delivering his tearful goodbye to the nation starting just before 11:30 p.m. ET, long after most of the television audience turned off their sets. History will record Biden as the defenestrated president who didn’t want to go and his own party didn’t want to stay.

NASA Citizen Scientists Spot Object Moving 1 Million Miles Per Hour
|

Most familiar stars peacefully orbit the center of the Milky Way. But citizen scientists working on NASA’s Backyard Worlds: Planet 9 project have helped discover an object moving so fast that it will escape the Milky Way’s gravity and shoot into intergalactic space. This hypervelocity object is the first such object found with the mass similar to or less than that of a small star.
Backyard Worlds uses images from NASA’s WISE, or Wide-field Infrared Explorer, mission, which mapped the sky in infrared light from 2009 to 2011. It was re-activated as NEOWISE (Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) in 2013 and retired on Aug. 8, 2024.
A few years ago, longtime Backyard Worlds citizen scientists Martin Kabatnik, Thomas P. Bickle, and Dan Caselden spotted a faint, fast-moving object called CWISE J124909.08+362116.0, marching across their screens in the WISE images. Follow-up observations with several ground-based telescopes helped scientists confirm the discovery and characterize the object. These citizen scientists are now co-authors on the team’s study about this discovery published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters (a pre-print version is available here).

Kendrick Brothers Aim to Ignite Massive Move Within American Church With Powerful New Film

“Go and make disciples of all nations.” This command from Jesus in Matthew 28:19 — known as the Great Commission — is a centerpiece of the Christian faith. But this training of people to embrace the true nature of the Gospel is lacking today in some portions of the church. And that’s the topic filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick are tackling in their new feature film, “The Forge,” hitting theaters Aug. 23. In many ways, the brothers told CBN News the movie is a follow-up to their 2015 hit, “'War Room.'If you liked ‘War Room,’ you’re going to love ‘The Forge,'” Stephen said. “This one is actually part two, in a sense, because ‘War Room’ is a call to prayer, and this one is a call for discipleship.”
He went on to say that some of the same characters from “War Room” return to deal with the discipleship issue, exploring what it looks like “to engage someone in relationship, friendship, and teach them how to fall in love with Jesus, and walk with Him, become a mature believer to the point where they’re ready to go out and reach someone else.” Alex said “The Forge” was the result of a season of prayer during which the filmmakers asked God to direct their path for the next movie. Once they did that, the direction became clear. “He pointed us in the direction of discipleship,” Alex said. “Reading through Scripture, Stephen and I would go through looking at the specific aspects or principles.” One of the verses that resonated with them was Luke 9:23 (NIV), a Scripture quoting Jesus, which reads, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Alex said walking like a disciple means dedicating one’s life to becoming more like Christ.
