Media Companies to Attempt to Convince US Judge to Unseal Trump Search Warrant
|
|
Lawyers for media companies are set to appear before a federal judge in Florida on Aug. 18 to try to make the case that the main document underpinning the FBI search warrant that was executed at a residence of former President Donald Trump should be made public.
Lawyers representing the Associated Press, CNN, the Miami Herald, and other companies will go before U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who approved the warrant that was executed on Aug. 8 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
While the warrant itself and several related documents, including an incomplete inventory of items taken from Trump’s residence, were unsealed at the behest of the government and Trump, U.S. lawyers oppose releasing the affidavit underpinning the warrant, even with redactions. (The Epoch Times)

- Abba, we ask that this brazen and politically weaponized move of the FBI to raid the home of President Trump would backfire on the Democrats and Trumps enemies. We pray that all the facts and the motivations behind these actions would come out in the light of day. May true justice be served!
- "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate.
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom;
I am understanding, I have strength.

Manchin admits 'Inflation Reduction Act' won't tame inflation for Americans anytime soon
|
|
Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., on Tuesday admitted that the Inflation Reduction Act won’t "immediately" temper inflation, telling reporters that the necessary investments needed to bring down prices would take some time.
Manchin’s comments came after President Biden signed the landmark climate change and health care bill into law on Tuesday, delivering what he has called the "final piece" of his pared-down domestic agenda. Though Democrats have labeled the measure the Inflation Reduction Act, nonpartisan analysts have said it will have a barely perceptible impact on prices.
Asked by Fox News reporter Hillary Vaughn whether it was misleading to call the bill the Inflation Reduction Act because it won’t make everyday goods less expensive, Manchin said, "Why would it?"
"Well, immediately it’s not," Manchin said. "We've never [said] anything would happen immediately, like turn the switch on and off."
Manchin said the market is anticipating the investments that will be made with the passing of the bill. Utility prices, for instance, will come down as the United States becomes more energy independent.
"We’re fighting like the dickens. You got to produce yourself out of this," Manchin said. "If you think that you’re going to wait on the Federal Reserve to raise rates, discourage you from buying anything (and) that’s going to take care of our inflation, that’s not how you take care of inflation." Islamic Jihad planned to infiltrate Israel through tunnels from Gaza
|
|
Palestinian Islamic Jihad was preparing to carry out operations that included infiltrating into Israeli territory during Operation Breaking Dawn, which led to a high level of preparedness in the South as well as in Israel's intelligence community.
During the operation, the IDF was paying close attention to the terrorist group's activity around one of its more popular tunnels, and security forces expected that it was being prepared for infiltration use in Israel.
According to Walla, while the commanders of Islamic Jihad intended for an operation to be carried out, the terrorists in the field refused to enter the tunnels.
The IDF presumes that the terrorist organizations in Gaza are wary of using the tunnels because of what happened during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May of last year when the IDF showed that it was able to directly hit tunnels that were dug at a depth of 20-30 meters while there are terrorists in them. Two tunnels in Gaza were hit with Hamas terrorists inside. (Jerusalem Post) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that You have put FEAR in the hearts of these terrorists, so that they have been unable to carry out their evil plans. Thank You, Father God,
for watching over the Israeli people, to keep them from harm. In Your name, Abba,
we pray, amen and amen.

1. Armed drones gave IDF ‘surgical’ precision during recent Gaza fighting, officers say - Times of Israel
The Israeli Air Force’s fleet of armed and surveillance drones was an “integral” part of the recent round of fighting against the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group in the Gaza Strip, military officials said Wednesday.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, drones conducted more than 2,000 hours of flight time in some 100 sorties during the 66-hour battle, dubbed Operation Breaking Dawn, between August 5 and 8.
Dozens of targets were hit by the drones, mainly using the Elbit Hermes 450, which is operated by the Air Force’s 161st Squadron and the Artillery Corps unit 5252, from the Palmachim Airbase.
“The whole of Gaza is ‘covered’ with UAVs that collect intelligence 24 hours a day. From this intelligence, the Southern Command, the Gaza Division, the Air Force and other branches produce high-quality intelligence that turns into targets,” said Brig. Gen. Omri Dor, the commander of Palmachim. (Read more)

2. Lapid, Erdogan speak after restoring ties, agree to restart direct flights - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Yair Lapid spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday evening hours after the two countries announced they were restoring full diplomatic ties and reinstating ambassadors following a period of discord.
“The prime minister and the president agreed that the latest development is an important and additional layer in the strengthening of relations that will also lead to many achievements,” a statement from Lapid’s office said.
The new ties will focus on growth in the economic and tourism spheres and will see the return of Israeli flights to Turkey in September, the statement said.
The two leaders congratulated each other on resuming relations and “emphasized the great importance of Israel and Turkey in maintaining regional stability,” it added. There was no immediate statement from the Turkish side.
Earlier Wednesday, Israel and Turkey announced a full renewal of diplomatic ties after a year of gradual warming relations. (Read more)

3. Jewish Worshipers Return to Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus Under Palestinian Gunfire, One Palestinian Killed - The Algemeiner
Israeli forces were working Wednesday evening to secure the entry of worshipers to Joseph’s Tomb near the West Bank city of Nablus amidst gun-battles with Palestinian militants.
Armed Palestinians targeted both the hundreds of Jewish worshipers coming to the religious site and the Israeli forces protecting them, the military’s Army Radio reported. It is the first time Jewish worshipers have been allowed back to the compound since June 30, when Palestinian gunmen opened fire on Israeli forces and worshipers in a separate attack, injuring three.
There were no immediate reports of damage to the Tomb.
The latest clashes began with the entry of Israeli forces into the city, according to Army Radio. Israeli forces have responded to militant fire, with one Palestinian killed and several wounded. No Israeli injuries have been reported. (Read more)

4. Jews across United States harassed with wave of antisemitic letters to homes - Jerusalem Post
Jewish Americans across the country woke up to antisemitic letters and flyers delivered to their homes this week, a continuation of an anti-Jewish campaign by white supremacists.
Letters in plastic bags were placed on several driveways of residents in Jacksonville, Florida over the weekend, First Coast News reported on Monday.
"We're right across the street from a school," Amber Wilson told First Coast News. "Lots of kids live here. We don't want this kind of stuff here. It feels really violating knowing that was even in this neighborhood."
"Every single aspect of gun control is Jewish,” read some flyers distributed in plastic bags throughout Long Island on the weekend, according to media reports.
"Extremely disturbed to learn of another incident of antisemitic flyer distribution on Long Island, this time in Freeport," wrote the Anti Defamation League (ADL) New York and New Jersey chapter. "We continue to speak out against this hate and antisemitism, which has no place in our community."
Afaf Nasher, Executive Director of the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the flyers, saying: “This increased presence of Nazi-inspired, racial supremacist propaganda at our doorsteps is a chilling reminder that we are facing brazen extremists’ intent of fueling hate in our neighborhoods. CAIR-NY condemns these anti-Jewish flyers and re-affirms our solidarity to our Jewish brothers and sisters.” (Read more)

5. Report: 12% of Russian Jews Have Left Since Start of Ukraine War in March - Jewish Press
The BBC on Wednesday cited the Jewish Agency as saying that 20,500 of Russia’s estimated 165,000 Jews have made Aliyah since March, the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This is an astonishing figure, indicating that more than 12% of Russian Jews were fearful enough of the changes overtaking their country to leave everything behind and take advantage of Israel’s offer of a new home.
One of the reasons cited by Israeli Aliyah officials is the very real fear that President Putin would ban flights with Olim to Israel. Many view the legal assault on the activities of the Jewish Agency by Moscow as the result of Russian reluctance to see highly educated Jews, especially IT experts, all of whom have been schooled in Russia, fleeing the country. This reluctance has become particularly acute under the constant cyber-attacks on Russia.
Some Russian Jews have suggested that Putin et al are especially angry at the pro-Aliyah campaign run by the Jewish Agency which drummed up the fears of a coming wave of antisemitism as a result of the war. One Rabbi living in Russia told Israel Hayom: “It’s not something terrible and far-fetched for a state to act to stop an organization that encourages its citizens to flee from it in the middle of an emergency.”
Israel has asked Russia to postpone the court hearing scheduled for Friday, August 19, on the future of the Jewish Agency there, and offered instead to try and reach an agreement outside the court. (Read more)

2. Meta (Facebook) to cosponsor event with Pfizer celebrating communist China – NewsTarget
The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is hosting a pro-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) event to celebrate the authoritarian regime’s subjugation of the semi-autonomous country. And two of the event’s primary cosponsors are none other than Meta (Facebook) and Pfizer.
Joining Meta and Pfizer are Uber, Citi, and Alliance Bernstein, all of which support the CCP and its tyrannical agenda. The “presenting sponsor” of the event is Meta, while Pfizer and the others are lower down on the food chain as “corporate champions” for the cause. (Related: Facebook’s “fact checking” apparatus is nothing more than a government-funded psychological operation to censor free speech.)
Numerous CCP speakers will present at the celebration, which spans from September 2022 to June 2023. These propagandists will sing the praises of communist China and its oppression of Hong Kong, the country hosting the event. Read more

3. Steve Kirsch estimates between 5M and 12M people have been killed by COVID clot shots worldwide (so far) – NewsTarget
The Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines have killed between five million and 12 million people, according to entrepreneur Steve Kirsch.
Several commenters on Kirsch’s Substack page provided the breakdown of this figure, which the entrepreneur attested to. They quoted Our World in Data’s finding that 12.46 billion COVID-19 vaccines had been injected into people’s arms worldwide.
“In my opinion, a reasonable estimate is to divide the number of doses by 1,000. A more conservative number is to divide the number of doses by 2,500,” said Kirsch, who is also a vaccine safety advocate.
Dividing the 12.46 billion doses by the reasonable estimate of 2,500 yielded almost five million fatalities, while dividing that total by the conservative estimate of 1,000 yielded 12.46 million deaths. “That conservative estimate gets you to five million killed, only 16 times the number of Americans killed in World War II,” Kirsch remarked.
“We are approaching the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust over 12 years worldwide, at a rate at least six times faster than the Germans did. We are killing nearly close to 10,000 people every single day; the latest rate was roughly 8.46 million doses a day.” Read more

4. Hospital covid treatments were so “brutal” and murderous that some nurses quit the profession – Pandemic News
The places where sick people are sent for treatment, also known as hospitals, are, in many cases, death centers for people who test “positive” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19).
A growing number of nurses is speaking out about the “brutal” remedies that are being administered at many state- and federally-funded health care systems to supposedly treat covid – remedies that caused some of them to quit the profession entirely.
“They’re horrific, and they’re all in lockstep,” says Staci Kay, a nurse practitioner with the North Carolina Physicians for Freedom.
Kay left the hospital system in her state to join a private practice that was giving early treatments for covid that actually work. She says the hospital system where she used to work never would have tolerated any of what she does now.
“I’ve seen people die with their family watching via iPad on Facetime,” Kay says about how the hospital system she worked for cruelly prohibited visitors from entering to see their sick and dying loved ones. “It was brutal.”
The situation was so bad where Kay used to work that she says she would routinely – and still does, on occasion – wake up in the middle of the night “in a cold sweat with chest pains.” Read more

5. Here Is Why 37 Percent Of U.S. Farmers In The Western Half Of The Country Are Killing Their Own Crops – The Economic Collapse Blog
Here in the United States, the food that is not being grown in 2022 will cause immense economic pain in 2023.
There are 17 western states that collectively produce almost half of our food, and right now those 17 states are being absolutely devastated by the worst multi-year megadrought in 1,200 years…
The 17 states including and north of Texas, up along the Central Plains to North Dakota and west to California are vital to the U.S. agricultural sector, supporting nearly half of the nation’s $364 billion production by value. This includes 74% of beef cattle, responsible (in total) for 18% of U.S. agricultural production by value; 50% of dairy production, responsible (in total) for 11% of U.S. agricultural production by value, over 80% of wheat production by value and over 70% of vegetable, fruit and tree nut production by value. Drought conditions, which have persisted well into 2022, put production of these commodities at risk, along with the stability of farms, ranches and local economies reliant on crops, livestock and downstream products and services for income.
The American Farm Bureau Federation wanted to know how farmers in that half of the nation are faring during this drought, and so they conducted a survey.
And what they discovered is extremely alarming. Here is one example…
This year’s drought conditions are taking a harder toll than last year’s, as 37% of farmers said they are plowing through and killing existing crops that won’t reach maturity because of dry conditions. Read more

6. Joe Biden's Inflation Reduction Act Secretly Brought to you by Bill Gates - ZeroHedge
The Democrats’ “Inflation Reduction Act” – which according to the Congressional Budget Office will raise taxes on the middle class to the tune of $20 billion – not to mention unleash an army of IRS agents on working class Americans over the next decade, was made possible by Bill Gates and (in smaller part) Larry Summers, who have been known to hand out together.
In a Tuesday Bloomberg article that reads more like a newsletter for the Gates fan club, the billionaire Microsoft co-founder recalls how earlier this year, as moderate Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema continued to block the tax-and-spend legislation over concerns that it would raise taxes on the middle class (it will), Gates says he tapped into a relationship with Manchin that he'd been cultivating since at least 2019.
Gates was banking on more than just his trademark optimism about addressing climate change and other seemingly intractable problems that have been his focus since stepping down as Microsoft’s chief executive two decades ago. As he revealed to Bloomberg Green, he has quietly lobbied Manchin and other senators, starting before President Joe Biden had won the White House, in anticipation of a rare moment in which heavy federal spending might be secured for the clean-energy transition. 7. IRS becomes GOP boogeyman ahead of midterms – The Hill
As Republicans rail against the FBI in the wake of last week’s search at Mar-a-Lago, they are also hyping the danger to voters from another three-letter federal agency: the IRS.
The GOP is warning that the $80 billion funding boost to the IRS included in Democrats’ tax, climate and health care package, which President Biden signed into law on Tuesday, will target middle-class Americans with an “army” of new enforcement agents.
The calls have become a key part of Republicans’ messaging ahead of this year’s midterm elections.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) released a video earlier this week that slams Democrats for expanding the IRS, arguing that it will harm everyday Americans despite Democrats’ insistence that the extra funding is intended to make sure wealthy taxpayers and corporations don’t stiff the government.
“Biden and Democrats are out-of-touch and do not care about the pain and suffering they are causing Americans. Democrats celebrate raising taxes on families during a recession they created and weaponizing the IRS to target small businesses and hardworking Americans,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. 8. DRIED UP: Texas cattle industry faces existential crisis from historic drought – The Hill
The megadrought in the Western U.S., the region’s worst in 1,200 years, is threatening America’s cattle heartland: withering pastures, wrecking feed harvests and endangering a quintessential way of life.
The drought is forcing ranchers here in Texas and across the Southern plains to make an agonizing decision: Sell early now for less money than they planned on — or hold on, pray for rain and risk losing everything.
“We’ll keep selling cows till it rains,” Texas High Plains rancher Jim Ferguson told Amarillo station KAMR, which collaborated with The Hill on this story. For now, Ferguson is just selling his oldest calves, for which he’ll be able to get the best price. But with no rain in the forecast, and therefore no prospect of lush winter pastures for his herds to eat, “it won’t be long before we start getting into the younger ones.”
The drought is echoing through beef supply chains, resulting in higher prices for consumers for at least the next two years — and likely serving as the final blow to many small, family-run cattle herds that represent a key part of the industry. Read more

9. Corn Collapse: Just 57% of US corn crop is in good or excellent condition - NewsTarget
Less than 60 percent of America’s corn crop is in good or excellent condition, according to the latest Crop Progress report from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
As of Aug. 15, only 12 percent of America’s corn crop is in excellent condition; 45 percent in good condition; 27 percent in fair condition; 10 percent in poor condition; and six percent in very poor condition.
In the USDA’s Crop Progress report published on July 17, 13 percent of the crop was rated excellent, 48 percent good, 25 percent fair, eight percent poor and three percent very poor.
On June 19, still just 13 percent of the crop was rated excellent, but 57 percent of the crop was rated in good condition. Twenty-four percent of the crop was in fair condition. Five percent of the corn crop was rated poor and just one percent of the crop has been in very poor condition. Read more

10. Spaghetti sauce prices to increase due to reduced tomato yields amid California water crisis – NewsTarget
California tomato farmers are now struggling with a water scarcity brought about by the worst drought in 1,200 years. This dilemma that affects the production of processing tomatoes, the variety that gets canned and used in commercial kitchens to make some of the most popular foods, could possibly cause the imminent soaring of tomato-based sauce prices in the market.
This United States region is responsible for a quarter of the world’s output of tomatoes. However, with “climate-change” forecasts calling for hotter and drier conditions, the outlook for farmers is uncertain.
“It’s really tough to grow a tomato crop right now. On one side you have the drought impacting costs because you don’t have enough water to grow all your acres, and then you have the farm inflation side of it with fuel and fertilizer costs shooting up,” Montna added. Read more

The Tyranny Of "Democracy"
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, August 18, 2022
Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) is now former congresswoman. She was the poster child for everything anti-Trump and Wyoming voters turned her out to pasture. Some Democrats and leftists are using it as an example of how Republicans want to end democracy in America. They are attacking all Republican voters, characterizing them as misogynists and racists—their “go to” hate points, as if they have the higher moral ground. In reality, Cheney’s demise was the power of the vote. And that power should be celebrated by the very people who say they champion “democracy” and call themselves Democrats. But when “democracy” goes against them it is given some unsavory hate-filled label.
The Democrats are more into tyranny than democracy. They name a bill “The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” and ram it through Congress on a party line vote. Not one Republican voted for this legislation, not one. And this is the democracy of the Democrats. One would think that if there is such opposition to legislation of this magnitude that some compromises would be made to make the bill more acceptable. But not in this case, nor in the Obama Affordable Care Act nor in the Build Back Better Act. Democrats in the House of Representatives allowed no amendments. These bills were rammed through both Houses of Congress strictly on a party line vote, and they were monumental change agents for socialism. Read More

Kirk Cameron Says New Movie ‘Lifemark’ Is Debuting at ‘Unbelievably Providential Moment in History’
|
|
Kirk Cameron Says New Movie ‘Lifemark’ Is Debuting at ‘Unbelievably Providential Moment in History’ They say timing is everything — and that certainly seems to be the case for Kirk Cameron’s newest film. The Christian actor and executive producer recently appeared on CBN’s “Faith vs. Culture,” where he spoke about “Lifemark,” a movie chronicling the true story of a teenage boy unexpectedly contacted by his birth mother, who gave him up for adoption 18 years earlier. The film debuts as a Fathom Event in theaters nationwide Sept. 9-15. Cameron described the movie from filmmaking duo Alex and Stephen Kendrick as the brothers’ “best one yet.” The “Growing Pains” star last worked with the Kendricks in 2008, when “Fireproof” hit theaters.
The timing of the debut of “Lifemark” is certainly noteworthy, given the pro-life film’s premiere is coming just a few months after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to overturn the precedent established in 1973 by its landmark case Roe v. Wade, granting nationwide legal cover to abortion access. “This is a movie that’s coming out an an unbelievably providential moment in history,” Cameron told CBN show co-hosts Dan Andros and Billy Hallowell. “Who would have thought that Roe v. Wade would be gone? Let’s say that again: Roe v. Wade is gone. Holy smokes! And now here’s a movie coming on the heels of that Supreme Court decision that celebrates the value of life in the womb and the beauty of adoption.”
Telling the story of “Lifemark,” which details the last-minute decision of an 18-year-old girl seconds away from abortion stopping the procedure to choose adoption instead, was personally important to Cameron because he and his wife have four adopted children themselves — two of whom have, like the character in the movie, met their birth mothers. One of the central reasons Cameron is so passionate about adoption is because his wife, Chelsea Noble, was adopted by her parents. “Think about this,” the actor posited. “My wife was one doctor appointment away from not existing and our four [adopted] children were also this close to not existing. And if my wife hadn’t been born, neither would our two natural-born children. So all six of our kids and my wife wouldn’t be here if people didn’t value their lives while they were in the womb so that they could grow into these beautiful and amazing people that they are.” (CBN) Read More Here.

Turn Your eyes upon Jesus
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words and Music: Helen Lemmel
Scripture: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2
Lyrics:
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of the world will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!
Refrain
His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
