Attorney General Merrick Garland said he "personally approved" the decision to seek a search warrant for former President Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago, saying the Justice Department has filed a motion to unseal the search warrant and property receipt from the FBI's raid, amid "substantial public interest" in the matter, while defending the "integrity" of law enforcement officials.
In a rare public statement, days after the FBI's early morning raid on Trump's private residence in Palm Beach, Florida.
The raid was related to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) effort to collect records and materials the former president took with him from Washington, D.C., to Mar-a-Lago--a matter the agency referred to the Justice Department. (Read more)

Growing Number of Lawmakers Call on Biden Administration to Release Documents on FBI Raid of Trump
|

A growing number of U.S. lawmakers are calling on President Joe Biden’s administration to make public documents outlining why the FBI recently raided former President Donald Trump’s home.
Rep. Michael Turner (R-Ohio), the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, urged FBI Director Christopher Wray in an Aug. 9 letter to hand over materials, including court filings showing the “evidentiary basis” for the raid. “To send the FBI in to raid his home must require—and that’s why we’re demanding answers from FBI Director Wray—actual national security threats and information,” Turner said on Newsmax.
“The American People deserve transparency and accountability. We must see the probable cause for the warrant to search President Trump’s residence and know what caused a Judge to approve the warrant,” Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tenn.) said in a statement. “Anything less will permanently discredit both the DOJ and FBI.”
According to court docket entries, U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart approved search warrants before the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago in southern Florida. One of Trump’s lawyers told The Epoch Times that a copy of the warrant she saw listed Reinhart as approving the warrant. The warrant and supporting materials, such as any affidavits lodged by bureau agents explaining why a warrant should be granted, are under seal, or shielded from the public. NYC, DC mayors now see our border crisis is real. They should call on Biden to step up
|

Last week, I formally invited the mayors of New York City and Washington, D.C. to Texas’ southern border to see firsthand the situation that Washington’s Mayor Muriel Bowser recently described as a humanitarian crisis. She has emphasized that the flow of migrants into her city is a "federal issue that demands a federal response." Finally, something reasonable from a D.C. official.
President Joe Biden’s irresponsible open border policies have invited record-high numbers of illegal immigrants and transnational criminal activity directly into communities, not only in Texas but across the nation.
As governor of a southern border state, I have had to deploy unprecedented amounts of state resources--including more than $3 billion over the past 18 months--to the Texas National Guard, Texas Department of Public Safety, and local partners to help address the president’s national security failure and ensure the safety of Texans.
In response to the Biden administration’s unconscionable disregard for the southern border, I launched Operation Lone Star in March 2021 in partnership with these state agencies to protect Texans in communities. Thousands of deployed troopers and guardsmen are utilizing air, ground, and tactical border assets to combat Mexican drug cartels and other criminals who smuggle drugs and people into the U.S.
It was not long before Mayor Bowser began decrying the mission after receiving only a fraction of what Texas law enforcement encounter each day along the border. Mayor Bowser went so far as to request indefinite federal assistance from the National Guard to help D.C. cope with the humanitarian crisis. . . If the mayors of America’s most populous city and the nation’s capital are complaining about a few thousand migrants, imagine what these small border communities with more limited resources face on the frontlines.
As Mayors Adams and Bowser recently acknowledged, the border crisis demands immediate and decisive federal action. I ask that they call on President Biden to stop dismissing this crisis and to honor his duty of preserving America’s national security. (Read more here.)

Israel’s 66-hour campaign targeting the military leadership of Palestinian Islamic Jihad was a major success on multiple levels. 3. Top official ousted as Palestinian succession battle heats up - Jerusalem Post
Tawfik Tirawi, a former head of the Palestinian Authority General Intelligence Service, has been removed from his job as chairman of the board of trustees of Al-Istiqlal University in the latest sign of mounting tensions among the top brass of the Palestinian leadership.
Tirawi, a senior member of the ruling Fatah faction’s Central Committee, was dismissed by PA President Mahmoud Abbas days after he reportedly bad-mouthed PLO Secretary-General Hussein al-Sheikh in an audiotape leaked to social media platforms.
The 61-year-old Sheikh is seen by many Palestinians as a leading candidate to succeed Abbas. Tirawi, too, is seen by his supporters as a suitable candidate to step into Abbas’s shoes.
Abbas, 87, also ordered the withdrawal of the security guards stationed outside Tirawi’s residence for his protection, Palestinian sources said. (Read more)

4. Excavations underway to find secret trenches from Six Day War in Jerusalem - Jerusalem Post
After 55 years, excavations have begun on the once-occupied Ammunition Hill to search for secret trenches that may have been hidden for decades after they were last used in the Six Day War.
The dig began after dozens of IDF soldiers reached out to the Ammunition Hill Center for Six Day War Heritage and asked that they locate the trenches on which they fought, according to the Center's CEO, Ketri Maoz.
"More and more inquiries have come from Six Day War fighters who claimed that there is an additional eastern trench that needs to be sought out and found."

The community center in Rahat – Israel's largest Bedouin town – is enabling women who dream of setting up their own businesses to do so. Funded by the Israeli government’s budget allocated to the country’s Arab sector, the Women's Empowerment Program is giving women of the Arab town the opportunity to emancipate themselves and acquire their independence.
In Israel, the rate of unemployed Arab women is particularly high, at 60 percent, something Rahat is working to change for those who aspire to succeed.
The program is divided into two categories – one is dedicated to women who have businesses and want to market their brands; the other is for women who want to work in social entrepreneurship. (Read more)

No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, you should be absolutely horrified by what the FBI just did. When one political party weaponizes the law in order to crush their main opposition, the legitimacy of the government disappears. At this point it is clearer than ever that the United States has become a banana republic, and it greatly pains me to say that. From the time of the Founding Fathers up to today, so many Americans have sacrificed so much for our once great nation. But now we are the generation that gets to witness the death of the American experiment.
When I hear Democrats say that “nobody is above the law”, it makes me laugh. How do you think the Bidens and the Clintons have stayed out of prison all these years? Of course they are above the law.
Rather, they are going after Donald Trump because they think that they have found a way to keep him from ever running for president again. The following is what 18 U.S. Code § 2071 says…
(a)Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b)Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.
If they can convict Trump under this section, he will be permanently banned from the presidency. And that is exactly what they want. (Read more) |

2. Trump Reveals More Details on Mar-a-Lago Raid – The Epoch Times
Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon revealed more details on the circumstances surrounding the FBI’s Aug. 8 raid of his Mar-a-Lago home.
“In early June, the DOJ and FBI asked my legal representatives to put an extra lock on the door leading to the place where boxes were stored in Mar-a-Lago – We agreed,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Aug. 10, in an apparent reference to boxes that may have been used to store presidential records in Mar-a-Lago. “They were shown the secured area, and the boxes themselves.”
“Then on Monday, without notification or warning, an army of agents broke into Mar-a-Lago, went to the same storage area, and ripped open the lock that they had asked to be installed. A surprise attack, POLITICS, and all the while our Country is going to HELL!” Trump said.
The former president’s Wednesday statements, if true, throw further questions on the justification and appropriateness of the raid which was reportedly carried out in relation to a Department of Justification (DOJ) probe into whether Trump took presidential records with him after he left office. 3. ‘Weaponized’ DOJ Undermines Citizens’ Faith in American Institutions: Rep. Mike Johnson – The Epoch Times
The news about the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property rung vivid imageries of déjà vu in the mind of Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.). It is a replay of what Johnson saw as a member of the defense during U.S. President Donald Trump’s 2019 impeachment trial.
But in Johnson’s eyes, the issue is bigger than Trump, Mar-a-Lago, and politics in Washington. A “weaponized” Department of Justice (DOJ) under the Biden administration today, Johnson said in an interview with The Epoch Times, is attacking the foundational “pillars” upon which the greatest Constitutional Republic was built and undermining American citizens’ faith in the nation’s institutions.
By design, the American justice system “is a bulwark against tyranny,” Johnson said during an interview at an America First Policy Institute (AFPI) event in July. “But if the Department of Justice, for example, is weaponized for political purposes—which is what we’re seeing right now in the Biden administration—that jeopardizes that foundational pillar itself,” Johnson said. 4. Woke Airline Policies Threaten Safety, Workers Say – The Epoch Times
Southwest Airlines Co. is basking in accolades for its “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) efforts, award-winning customer service, and record-breaking quarterly revenues.
Behind the scenes of that rosy picture, heartaches are afflicting Southwest, called “the airline with Heart” because of its heart-shaped logo and a corporate culture steeped in “The Golden Rule,” treating others the same way they’d like to be treated.
But eight current Southwest employees, including three minorities, told The Epoch Times that “ woke, leftist” DEI policies, as implemented, have tarnished the cherished Golden Rule principle, fractured a once-cohesive workforce, and, ultimately, may put safety at risk. Faced with pandemic-related staffing shortages and pressure to add minorities, the company has changed the way it hires, trains, and disciplines workers—mostly to benefit less-qualified new hires representing the diversity rainbow, the employees say.

5. DeSantis Suspends 'Soros-Backed' State Attorney For 'Violating Oath' – ZeroHedge
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has suspended State Attorney Andrew Warren for 'picking and choosing which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,' and has appointed Susan Lopez as his replacement during the suspension.
Warren, who had served the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, has most recently refused to follow state policy criminalizing abortion in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade - and repeatedly refused to enforce laws cracking down on child sex-change surgeries, according to DeSantis.
The liberal state attorney also declined to prosecute 67 protesters arrested in George Floyd demonstrations, and said in 2017 that he would only pursue the death penalty "in the very worst cases," and not where "mental illness played a role."
"We are suspending Soros-backed 13th circuit state attorney Andrew Warren for neglecting his duties as he pledges not to uphold the laws of the state," DeSantis' office said in a statement, per Fox News. (Read more)

6. Biden's Homeland Security Officially Ends 'Remain in Mexico' Policy as Illegal Border Crossings Spike – CBN News
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is officially ending the "Remain in Mexico" policy, while Border Patrol agents continue their efforts to subdue the tide of thousands of illegal crossings, including the attempted smuggling of drugs and people. The Trump-era rule required migrants seeking asylum to wait in Mexico until a U.S. immigration judge could hear their case. The administration returned some 70,000 migrants to Mexico under the rule, but critics called it inhumane.
President Joe Biden lifted the order on his first day in office, but a federal judge stayed that order until the Supreme Court could hear the case.The high court ruled in favor of the administration in June and certified its ruling last week. The federal judge, in turn, has now lifted his stay.
The program will be unwound in a “quick, and orderly manner,” Homeland Security said in a statement. No more people are being enrolled and those who appear in court will not be returned to Mexico when they appear in the U.S. for their next hearings. The policy "has endemic flaws, imposes unjustifiable human costs, and pulls resources and personnel away from other priority efforts to secure our border,” the department said. (Read more)

7. Nearly 1 in 6 “fully vaccinated” for covid American adults now suffers from serious health problems – Pandemic News
Recently, John Zogby Strategies conducted a survey revealing that upwards of 15 percent of all American adults who got “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) now suffer from at least one serious health condition.
Commissioned by Children’s Health Defense (CHD), the survey aimed to assess the attitudes and overall health of American adults, many of whom fell for the Operation Warp Speed scam and are now paying the price for it.
Of those who participated in the survey, 67 percent indicated that they received one or more doses of the injection while the remaining 33 percent just said no to experimental drugs from the government. Of the vaccinated group, six percent took just one dose; 28 percent took two doses; 21 percent received three doses; and the remaining 12 percent took four or more injections.
A follow-up question that was asked following the initial survey called on respondents with diagnosed medical conditions to “select all that apply” from a list of common jab-associated health conditions. The top five mentioned include:
Blood clots at 21 percent
Heart attack at 19 percent
Liver damage at 18 percent
Leg and / or lung clots at 17 percent
Stroke at 15 percent

8. Concerns Grow as Russia Launches Iranian Satellite into Orbit – Israel365 News
Russian authorities on Tuesday oversaw the launch from Kazakhstan of an Iranian satellite, named “Khayyam,” into orbit. The launch comes just weeks after Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian leader Ali Khamenei pledged to cooperate against the West.
Iranian Information and Communications Technology Minister Isa Zarepour, who attended the launch, stated the development marked the “beginning of strategic cooperation between Iran and Russia in the space industry,” reported Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
“The high-resolution images (taken by “Khayyam”) could be used to improve the space applications in the country in the environmental and agricultural sectors,” Zarepour was quoted as saying.
The Washington Post reported last week that U.S. officials are concerned the satellite will allow Iran to monitor sensitive sites and potential targets in Israel and the broader Middle East, in addition to helping Moscow wage war against Ukraine. (Read more)

Iran has given birth to this satellite, likely to be used with Russia for unholy purposes, despite Iran’s claims. Lord, we ask You to bring blindness to this “eye in the sky” in whatever way You know is best. We also pray for the day to come where the Arabic version of “Yeshua” has become a popular name for male babies in this region.

To dissect the recent fighting between the Jewish state and terrorists in the Gaza Strip, and what it reveals about the Israel-U.S. relationship, Caroline Glick on this week’s episode of “Mideast News Hour” hosts Michael Doran, a former senior member of the National Security Council under George W. Bush who is now at the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C.
On the backdrop of the recent military exchange, Doran described the United States as being entrenched in an “ideological war”—with who maintains power over the country hanging in the balance. “Climate is attractive to Democrats writ large, because if there’s a climate emergency that gives them the right to take control of all aspects of the economy and to do with them whatever they want in the name of mitigating climate disaster,” Doran said.
“They’re working to establish climate commissars in every bureaucracy who will be able to review almost every policy as to whether it’s going to benefit the climate or harm it. It’s just a way of taking control without admitting it,” he added. According to Glick, even as Israel combats security threats emanating from Gaza, it is also facing internal political turmoil. “What we’re seeing here in Israel, and in the United States, is that you have these leaders that are completely actually focused on their own power and seizing power, maintaining power, keeping the other guy as far from power as possible,” Glick said. May they not be entrapped by needing approval from the U.S., or any other nation, to carry on Your business. Remove the scales from their eyes and soften their hearts that the Truth may rise up within each one. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
As for the U.S., thank You, Lord, that You are in process of turning the tables. May Your people hear Your voice and obey, and may we always be a blessing to Israel.

10. China Just Made A Move That Could Literally Provoke A Major War With The United States – The Economic Collapse Blog
If the Chinese don’t end their blockade of Taiwan, the Biden administration will be under immense pressure to respond. So let us hope that cooler heads prevail in China and that a decision is soon made to end the pointless “military exercises” that the Chinese are currently conducting. When the live-fire drills were first announced, we were told that they would last for only four days. That was supposed to be it. On Monday, they were supposed to go home. But that didn’t happen. Instead, on Monday the Chinese announced that the military exercises in the waters off Taiwan would be extended, and no new end date was given…
China said Monday it was extending threatening military exercises surrounding Taiwan that have disrupted shipping and air traffic and substantially raised concerns about the potential for conflict in a region crucial to global trade.
The exercises would include anti-submarine drills, apparently targeting U.S. support for Taiwan in the event of a potential Chinese invasion, according to social media posts from the eastern leadership of China’s ruling Communist Party’s military arm, the People’s Liberation Army.
This move by China crosses a very important line. The Chinese have essentially established a “maritime and aerial blockade” around Taiwan, but it was only supposed to last from Thursday to Sunday…A four day blockade wouldn’t have been that big of a deal.
But a full blown “maritime and aerial blockade” that lasts for weeks or even months is clearly an act of war. Taiwan relies on food and essential supplies from the outside world. If commerce is severely restricted or cut off completely, life on the island will radically change.
And the pressure on the Biden administration to “do something” will become enormous. (Read more)

Their actions have caused a blockade to this freedom loving country. Please put a stop to China's aggressive military actions, and stop the blockade of Taiwan.

- Oh Dear Father, we appeal to You to bring a shift in this situation so that Taiwan can once again be free of the threat of Chinese domination. We pray that situations will arise in mainland China that will cause the Communist Chinese to pull back from their threatening position and leave to take care of issues at home. Lord, we speak protection over this island nation so that it may fulfill the plans You have for it in Your Kingdom on earth. May there arise a cry from intercessors there that will bring their own spiritual weapons to bear against this behemoth and bring freedom from communism.

Americans should be outraged at the abuse of power demonstrated by the Biden Administration’s Justice Department. This week’s very public raid on former president Donald Trump’s home ostensibly over some documents that somebody thinks should be in the National Archives is a dire signal to all who wish to remain free. It cannot be said enough. This show of force can be applied to anyone who opposes these usurpers of Liberty and destroyers of the Constitution. Combined with the passage of the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act, which funds the addition of 87,000 IRS agents and sets up a green energy enforcement structure, is hammering nails in the coffin of this Republic.
Case in point is a letter IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig sent to senators on August 4. He wrote: “These resources are absolutely not about increasing audit scrutiny on small businesses or middle-income Americans. As we’ve been planning, our investment of these enforcement resources is designed around the Department of the Treasury’s directive that audit rates will not rise relative to recent years for households making under $400,000. Other resources will be invested in employees and IT systems that will allow us to better serve all taxpayers, including small businesses and middle-income taxpayers. Enhanced IT systems and taxpayer service will actually mean that honest taxpayers will be better able to comply with the tax laws, resulting in a lower likelihood of being audited and a reduced burden on them.” Read More

Water rescues made as flash floods slam D.C. area
|

Water levels rose quickly Wednesday afternoon in the nation's capital, giving way to disastrous effects on area travel.
Travel across the Washington, D.C., area became chaotic Wednesday as flash flooding quickly rose water to disastrous levels, prompting numerous water rescues.
Flash flood warnings were issued for the nation's capital, as well as surrounding cities such as Baltimore, Arlington, Virginia and Silver Spring, Maryland, through the evening hours. Rain began to come down in mass amounts around 4 p.m. both in D.C. and north of Lexington, Virginia, and more than four inches of rain ended up falling on the D.C. area over a two-hour period.
High water levels quickly encompassed Washington, D.C., proper, including on Rhode Island Avenue and New Jersey Avenue, creating havoc for drivers in the city. Local commuters taking public transportation were not immune from rainfall, as water began to seep into local Metro trains.
Another video captured water falling from the ceiling at the Capitol South Station of the D.C. Metro service.
North of the city in Greenbelt, Maryland, lanes of the Beltway Outer Loop remained flooded into the evening commute, blocked by stalled vehicles. Read More
