Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Great American Media, is on a mission to support faith and family-friendly entertainment — and he has a message about what Hollywood’s churning out. “We have a very loyal audience and we happen to believe the majority of the country wants to see traditional family values and really experience content that’s supportive of faith, family, and country,” Abbott recently told CBN News at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. “And you look at Hollywood and 98, 99% of what’s produced is … anti-American, people of faith are demeaned and mocked, families are never shown in the traditional sense.”

Trump says US will deal 'directly' with Iran in high-level meeting on Saturday

President Donald Trump on Monday said the U.S. will engage "directly" with Iran in a high-level meeting set to occur this coming Saturday.
"We have a very big meeting on Saturday, and we're dealing with them directly," Trump told reporters from the Oval Office while sitting next to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The announced meeting is the first known time the U.S. will directly engage with Iran since the previous Trump administration, when it withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018.
"We’ll see what can happen. I think everybody agrees that doing a deal would be preferable to doing the obvious," Trump said in reference to his threat last week in which he said he would "bomb" Iran if it didn’t enter talks to end its nuclear program.
"[That’s] not something that I want to be involved with, or frankly, that Israel wants to be involved with, if they can avoid it," Trump continued. "We're going to see if we can avoid it.

Supreme Court grants Trump request to lift stay halting Venezuelan deportations

Justices on the high court ruled 5-4 to grant the administration's request to lift the stay, in a temporary victory for Trump and his allies.

The Supreme Court on Monday granted President Donald Trump’s request to vacate a lower court's ruling barring the administration from using a 1798 wartime immigration law to immediately deport Venezuelan nationals – including alleged members of the Tren de Aragua gang – from the U.S., marking a significant victory for the administration as it advances key immigration priorities.
Justices on the high court ruled 5-4 to grant the administration's request to lift the stay, in a temporary victory for Trump and his allies.
At issue was the Alien Enemies Act, or the immigration law passed by Congress in 1789 to immediately remove certain migrants from U.S. soil.
Prior to Trump's second White House term, it had been invoked just three times in U.S. history: During the War of 1812, during World War I, and most recently, World War II.
Lawyers for the Trump administration had urged the court to vacate the lower court ruling, arguing in a Supreme Court filing that the lower court orders "rebuffed" their immigration agenda, including their ability "to protect the Nation against foreign terrorist organizations and risk debilitating effects for delicate foreign negotiations."
"Today's a bad day to be a terrorist in the United States of America," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a video posted to X, adding that Trump "was correct in using his authority on using the Alien Enemies Act to deport terrorists out of this country."
Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi called the "landmark" decision a "victory for the rule of law," adding that an "activist judge" in Washington, D.C., "does not have the jurisdiction to seize control of President Trump’s authority to conduct foreign policy and keep the American people safe."
"The Department of Justice will continue fighting in court to make America safe again," Bondi concluded in her statement responding to the ruling. (Fox News) Read more here.

Donald Trump to Hit China with 104% Tariffs as Xi Jinping Refuses to Halt Retaliatory Tariffs

President Donald Trump will slap 104-percent tariffs on China at midnight Tuesday, April 8, after President Xi Jinping refused to withdraw retaliatory tariffs placed on the United States.
Last week, Trump announced reciprocal tariffs on countries that have historically imposed high tariffs on the U.S., including China, which faced a 34 percent tariff in addition to existing tariffs on its goods.
In response, China’s state-run Global Times called the reciprocal tariffs a tool to “blackmail” China and a “tool for extreme pressure and to pursue selfish interests.”
Likewise, Xi announced a 34-percent retaliatory tariff on the United States. Trump then announced that China will face an additional 50-percent tariff if the retaliatory tariffs are not withdrawn.
On Tuesday, reports indicated that Xi had no plans to withdraw the retaliatory tariffs and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the combined 104-percent tariffs on China would go into effect at midnight.
“Countries like China, who have chosen to retaliate and try to double down on their mistreatment of American workers, are making a mistake,” Leavitt said. “President Trump has a spine of steel, and he will not break.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

1. Netanyahu: Iran deal must entail blowing up, dismantling nuclear sites - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Tuesday about the potential perils of a nuclear deal with Iran, ahead of taking off for Israel following his meeting the previous day with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
“We agree that Iran will not have nuclear weapons. This can be done by agreement, but only if this agreement is Libyan-style: They go in, blow up the installations, dismantle all of the equipment under American supervision and carried out by America—this would be good,” he said.
“The second possibility—that will not be—is that they drag out the talks, and then there is the military option. Everyone understands this. We spoke about this at length,” he added. (Read more)

2. High Court interim ruling says Netanyahu can’t fire Shin Bet chief Bar for now or limit his powers -Times of Israel
The High Court of Justice issues an interim injunction stating that Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar must remain in office until further notice while the government and the attorney general’s office try to come to an agreement on how to resolve the legal dispute over his dismissal.
The court’s decision also formalizes its proposal to the government and the attorney general to reach such an agreement and gives the sides until April 20, the day after Passover, to do so.
Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs and representatives for the Attorney General’s Office appeared willing to hold a dialogue as to how to resolve the dispute, after Justice Noam Sohlberg initially suggested in court that the matter be sent to the advisory committee for senior civil service appointments for its recommendation. 3. Netanyahu 'puzzled' by court decision to freeze firing of Ronen Bar - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the High Court of Justice's decision on Tuesday to freeze the firing of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar until further notice.
"The judges on the panel repeatedly emphasized during the discussion that there is no dispute regarding the government's authority to remove the head of Shin Bet from office," a statement from the Prime Minister's Office began.
"Therefore, the Supreme Court's decision to delay the end of the Shin Bet head's term by 10 days is puzzling." (Read more)

4. Terrorists in Syria threaten Israel - Israel National News
Post-Assad Syria, under the rule of the Islamist Ahmed al-Sharaa, may soon become another serious front of confrontation for Israel in the north.
A video first published on Telegram shows a large-scale demonstration in the city of Aleppo in northern Syria in which chants supporting armed struggle against Israel could be heard.
The protest leader can be heard chanting, "We all kill ourselves for the sake of Allah," and the crowd is heard repeating him several times. Other chants that could be heard were: "Oh Palestine, we will not forget you," "The entire Syrian nation is with you [Palestine]," "Wake up the revolution [against Israel]," and "We will die, and Gaza will remain."

5. Replacing AG: Coalition has failed, process will restart - Israel National News
Coalition disagreements will delay the process of dismissing the Attorney General. Chairman of the Constitution Committee, Knesset member Simcha Rothman, announced on Tuesday afternoon that the meeting of the Constitution Committee to elect a Knesset representative to the committee that proposes candidates for the position of Attorney General has been cancelled, following coalition disagreements on the selection of the representative.
As a result, the selection process will restart, with a new selection date being set, which will be published at least two weeks in advance, and it will be possible to submit nominations up to a week before the selection date.
Yesterday, it was reported that Likud Knesset members were infuriated by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, after he promoted MK Yinon Azulai (Shas), as an agreed-upon candidate on behalf of the coalition, to serve as a member of the committee that will recommend candidates for the position of Attorney General in place of Gali Baharav-Miara.

2. Reuters Retracts Bogus Report That Trump Was Considering Tariffs Pause - TheWrap.com
Reuters on Monday retracted a story claiming President Trump was considering a 90-day pause on his new tariff plan — and blamed CNBC for its mistake. CNBC was also fooled by a viral X post that mischaracterized what a White House advisor told Fox News
Here is how the mess started: Both outlets were fooled by a viral X post that claimed Kevin Hassett, the White House national economic council director, had said he was considering a 3-month pause.
But the post — made by Walter Bloomberg, an account with more than 840,000 followers — mischaracterized what Hassett had said earlier in the morning on Fox News. Hassett was simply asked if Trump was considering a 90-day pause, but did not confirm or deny it, instead saying the president was focused on making some “great” deals.
CNBC Carl Quintanilla’s then referred to the bogus 90-day claim on air, with co-host David Faber adding “that’s huge.” You can see that moment below:
Reuters then reported the claim Trump was debating a 90-day pause on tariffs, and pointed to CNBC’s reporting on it. The quick burst of “news” about a potential break on tariffs helped spur a dramatic jump for the Nasdaq, S&P 500, and Dow Jones, with all three turning green after starting the morning down several percentage points. 3. DOGE Official Claims Shocking Fallout from Biden’s Mass Migration: Millions of Migrants on Medicaid, Thousands Now on Voter Rolls and Voting- Breitbart
Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) official Antonio Gracias says millions of migrants, who were welcomed to the United States under former President Joe Biden, are now on the nation’s Medicaid rolls and voter rolls — with some having voted in last year’s election. Most recently, DOGE chief Elon Musk said that potentially millions of illegal aliens who arrived in the U.S. under Biden have secured Social Security numbers.
In a recent interview with the All In podcast, Gracias detailed how easy it was for migrants, freed into the U.S., to get Social Security numbers on Biden’s watch: “[Border Patrol] was giving people at times Notices to Appear [NTAs], and what that allows you to do is come in the country and then you’re scheduled a court date like six years out,” Gracias explained:
So now you’re in the country with some quasi-legal status, you’re waiting for your court date, while you’re waiting for your court date — six years is the average by the way, it could be longer than that — you can fill out an asylum application, so without an interview, just an application … once that application is in, you can file another form, a 765 [form] to get work authorization, once you get that, you get a 766 which is the authorization and we automatically send you a Social Security card in the mail. We looked at voter rolls and we found that thousands are registered to vote in friendly states. And we looked even further in those friendly states and found that many of those people had actually voted. It was shocking to us. 4. Marine Le Pen Vows ‘I Won’t Give Up!’ as Thousands Rally in Paris Against Election Ban - Breitbart
T housands of people gathered in Paris on Sunday to protest the court decision effectively banning National Rally leader Marine Le Pen from running in the 2027 presidential election, in which she is the undisputed frontrunner.
According to organisers, an estimated ten thousand people descended upon the Place Vauban square outside the Hôtel des Invalides complex in Paris, notable for being the location of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte’s tomb. They showed their support for National Rally leader Marine Le Pen after a court banned her from standing in elections for five years over alleged embezzlement of EU funds, a ruling that she has appealed.
Ahead of the demonstration, Mrs Le Pen vowed that protests against the election ban would be a “peaceful” and “democratic fight” that would be inspired by the peaceful civil disobedience of figures like Martin Luther King Jr. in the United States.
Addressing the crowd at the Place Vauban, Le Pen said, per Le Figaro, “Everyone, be reassured: I won’t give up.” (Read more)

5. Trump admin unveils plan costing migrants massive fine for every day they don't self-deport - Fox News
The Trump administration plans to begin fining illegal immigrants subject to a deportation order $998 a day if they do not leave the United States.
"Illegal aliens should use the CBP Home app to self-deport and leave the country now. If they don’t, they will face the consequences," Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Tuesday. "This includes a fine of $998 per day for every day that the illegal alien overstayed their final deportation order."
Using a 1996 law that was not enforced until President Donald Trump’s first term in 2018, the administration plans to apply the penalties retroactively to illegal immigrants for up to five years, resulting in fines of more than $1 million, an administration official told Reuters, who was first to report on the fines. 6. Report: Scientists Genetically Engineer Long-Extinct Dire Wolves - Breitbart
Scientists have reportedly genetically engineered dire wolves back into existence despite them being extinct for over 10,000 years.
A lengthy profile in TIME announced the scientific breakthrough on Monday with an expressed hope that the technology and methods used by Colossal Biosciences could potentially revive the woolly mammoth or preserve currently endangered species like the red wolf in North America or the quoll (a marsupial) in Australia.
The dire wolves went extinct in North America roughly 10,000 years ago from what scientists believe was the animal’s distinct hunting method of preying on larger animals as opposed to a more generalized hunting practice of smaller prey. According to Colossal’s chief scientist, Beth Shapiro, resurrecting the dire wolves involved taking blood cells from the living gray wolf and using gene editing technology (CRISPR) to genetically modify the cells in 20 different sites. This genetic material was then transferred to an egg cell from a domestic dog to create embryos that were then transferred to surrogates. The dire wolf pups gestated for 62 days with little complication before birth.
“We elected to put both pups with the surrogate who was displaying the best maternal instincts,” said Matt James, the company’s chief animal officer. “That reintroduction occurred just about two or so hours after birth, and she immediately began caring for them and allowing them to nurse. The idea that we could just take a vial of blood, isolate EPCs, culture them, and clone from them, and they have a pretty high cloning efficiency, we think it’s a game changer,” said George Church, Colossal co-founder and professor of genetics at both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Revoking Democrat Security Clearances is National Security

On March 22, President Trump revoked security clearances of several top Democratic Party leaders and operatives. The mainstream news media reported the story by characterizing Trump as acting against his “political opponents,” “critics,” “trembling with rage” against his political opponents. BBC said that Trump did this without having any evidence for claims of such things like election “meddling.” CNN said that it was just the latest move of Trump’s “grudge” against political opponents and his “crackdown” on top law firms. Eastern US And Europe Set To Feel The Sting Of A "Major Disruption" To Polar Vortex

A "major disruption" has recently rocked the Arctic polar vortex, causing it to weaken and reverse direction from west-to-east to east-to-west. Amid the chaos, the vortex shifted off the pole and drifted down towards Northern Europe.
For a bit of context: the polar vortex is a swirling mass of cold, low-pressure air that forms high above both of Earth’s poles. Over the Arctic, it spins counterclockwise in the stratosphere, about 16 to 50 kilometers (10 to 30 miles) above the surface, growing stronger in winter and weakening during the summer.
It has a complex relationship with the polar jet stream, a band of strong wind currents that form at the boundary of the polar vortex. Together, the vortex and jet stream help to keep cold air locked around the polar regions. However, under certain conditions, like a sudden warming of the stratosphere, this system can become unstable. When that happens, the polar vortex weakens or breaks apart, allowing cold Arctic air to spill into lower latitudes.
That’s exactly what happened in early March 2025.
