Trump pleads not guilty to grand jury charges during arraignment in Manhattan court
|
|
Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to charges brought by a Manhattan grand jury Tuesday afternoon in court in New York City after surrendering to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office earlier in the afternoon.
The former president of the United States, and the leading Republican presidential candidate for 2024, was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury Thursday after a years-long investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
Trump pleaded not guilty during his arraignment before Judge Juan Merchan, the trial judge presiding over the case, in the courtroom on the 15th floor of 100 Centre Street in New York City. The indictment was unsealed in court Tuesday. Trump has been charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. (Fox News) Read more

Federal Government Leaked Social Security Numbers Of White House Visitors
|
|
A new report released by the Government Publishing Office (GPO) has revealed that nearly 2,000 visitors to the White House in December 2020 had their social security numbers “inadvertently” leaked by the federal government when records pertaining to the Jan. 6 Committee were published in late 2022.
After the Biden Administration directed the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to provide the Jan. 6 Committee with White House visitor logs from the waning days of the Trump presidency, namely from December 2020 to January 2021, NARA complied, according to the GPO report. The Select Committee agreed to accept the records provided by NARA with “birthdates and social security numbers removed.”
Before being disbanded ahead of the new Congress in December 2022, the Select Committee sent its final report and supporting materials to GPO for online publication. On Jan. 4, 2023, it was discovered by a public news outlet that the information provided to GPO from the Select Committee contained the social security numbers of almost 2,000 visitors to the White House in December 2020. Upon learning of the error, GPO removed the revealing document and subsequently replaced it with a redacted version supplied by the NARA, the report stated. (The Daily Caller) Read more.

‘Clear Threat’:
Critics Raise Concern ‘RESTRICT’ Act Empowers Biden While Leaving Chinese ‘Spyware’ In Place
|
|
The RESTRICT Act — one of the bills currently in the Senate which could ban TikTok — has the potential to provide President Joe Biden with “new authority” while doing nothing to stop the Chinese-based app, Republican lawmakers and digital rights activists warn.
The White House has endorsed the legislation and has urged Congress to send it to Biden’s desk, applauding the bipartisan efforts of Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner and Republican South Dakota Sen. John Thune.
The endorsement came shortly after the Chinese App hired SKDK — a PR firm filled with former senior figures in the Biden administration — to help with policy communications, Politico reported. White House senior adviser Anita Dunn, who is a founding partner of SKDK, encouraged allies to use the app before Biden’s State of the Union address, according to the outlet. 1. Political Warfare Against Israel’: 60 NGOs Sign Letter Opposing UN Adoption of IHRA Antisemitism Definition - Algemeiner
60 human and civil rights organizations on Tuesday released a joint open letterurging the United Nations not to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism.
Signatories to Tuesday’s letter include the Palestinian NGOs al-Haq, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, and Defense for Children International – Palestine – groups that Israel banned in 2021 for their alleged ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which is a designated terrorist organization in the US, the EU and elsewhere.
Professor Gerald Steinberg, the founder of NGO Monitor, a group that supports the adoption of the IHRA definition, told The Algemeiner that the letter, which was also signed by Human Rights Watch (HRW), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and B’Tselem, is an act of “political warfare against Israel and against the right of the Jewish people for self-determination.” (Read more)

3. After airstrikes, Syria warns Israel not to drag region toward ‘total escalation’ - Times of Israel
Syria’s foreign ministry on Tuesday warned that Israel risked dragging the region toward “total escalation” after another overnight airstrike near Damascus attributed to the Jewish state.
“Syria warns Israel and its sponsors once again of the dangers of these aggressive policies, which push the region towards total escalation and a new phase of insecurity and instability,” it said in a statement.
The ministry accused Israel of striking Syria in order to “escape its internal problems through aggressions and crimes outside its borders.” (Read more)

5. New Israel Fund reveals string of donations to anti-reform protest groups - JNS
(April 4, 2023 / JNS) The U.S.-based New Israel Fund, which provides financial support to progressive and anti-Israel groups, on Monday posted to its Hebrew website a list of its donations to groups involved in the protests against judicial reform.
Demonstrations, sometimes turning violent, have roiled Israel for the past three months and, at least temporarily, derailed the government’s legislative plans.
The total amount spent, spread across 26 groups, comes to about 2 million shekels, or $660,000. Indeed, NIFmoney helped to ignite the protests, funding the first major demonstration on Jan. 7 in Tel Aviv.
“They’re not exaggerating their role,” Gadi Taub, a senior lecturer at the Federmann School of Public Policy at Hebrew University, told JNS. “They’re taking pride because they think they might have succeeded in stopping the reform. And they might have.” (Read more)

1. In Just One Week, The Biden Admin Proposed $21.5 Billion In New Regulations - The Daily Caller
The Biden administration proposed four rules with measurable economic impact in the week ending March 31 which would have a combined regulatory burden of $21.5 billion and 1.3 million hours of paperwork per year, according to an analysis by the American Action Forum (AAF) Monday.
The lion’s share of the costs would come from a pair of proposed regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) placing limits on long-lasting chemicals in drinking water and imposing stricter wastewater discharge standards, the AAF reported, citing the EPA’s own estimates. Since the start of 2023, the Biden administration has finalized 42 new regulations with a combined regulatory burden of $41.8 billion and 2.7 million paperwork hours.
Since the president took office, the Biden administration has finalized 551 rules with a total cost of $359.9 billion and a paperwork burden of 220.1 million hours, the AAF reported. At the same time in his presidency, the Trump administration had issued 617 rules with a regulatory burden of $6.9 billion and 42.8 million paperwork hours, while the Obama administration had issued 797 rules with a regulatory burden of $209.3 billion and 134.5 million hours. 2. Democrats Reveal Which Republican Reps They Want To Knock Off In 2024 - The Daily Caller
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) will target 31 House Republicans and two open seats in the 2024 general election, the group announced Monday.
The DCCC, House Democrats’ campaign arm, will target seven Republican-held seats in California and six in New York. The committee will also hope to retain the seats held by California Rep. Katie Porter and Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin, both of whom are running for Senate.
The DCCC is targeting 18 Republican freshmen, including Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, New York Rep. George Santos, and Arizona Rep. Juan Ciscomani. All six New York targets, more than half of the delegation’s Republicans, are freshmen. Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, who won the closest race of the 2022 midterms, is also a target, and challenger Adam Frisch is already seeking a rematch. (Read more)

3. Republicans Fume As Biden Admin Takes Its Sweet Time Filling Border Wall Gaps - The Daily Caller
The Biden administration promised to fill major gaps in Arizona’s border wall, but not much progress has been made in nearly ten months, leading to outrage from Republican House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green and Republican Arizona Rep. Eli Crane, who both spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on July 28 that they will close the gaps at Yuma’s Morelos Dam, where thousands of illegal migrants have poured through in recent months. Upon entering office, President Joe Biden ended the construction of former President Donald Trump’s border wall and a subsequent surge in illegal immigration ensued across the southern border and Yuma was experiencing much of it.
Former President Donald Trump oversaw the construction of 452 miles of border wall during his four years in office, according to Politico, while, according to DHS, the Morelos dam gaps are 300 feet wide (Gap 1), 1,350 feet wide (Gap 2), and 50 feet wide (Gaps 3 and 4). [Read more]

4. Appeals court upholds order for Jan. 6 testimony from Meadows, other Trump officials - The Hill
The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the Department of Justice Tuesday in ordering testimony from former chief of staff Mark Meadows and other top Trump White House staffers in the DOJ’s Jan. 6 investigation.
A sealed Tuesday order denying an emergency motion from former President Trump’s team came after a flurry of late night activity in the case. Trump had appealed a sealed decision from then-D.C. District Court Judge Beryl Howell last week that rejected his claims of executive privilege over the officials, ordering them to testify.
Aide Stephen Miller, former Department of Homeland Security official Ken Cuccinelli, former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, and former national security adviser Robert O’Brien were also all directed to testify in Howell’s decision, as were John McEntee, then-director of the Presidential Personnel Office, and Nick Luna, an assistant to Trump. 6. Finland joins NATO in major setback to Russia - Fox News
Finland joined NATO to become the alliance's 31st member on Tuesday, issuing a major rebuke to Moscow and doubling the border length Russia shares with the military alliance.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine spurned Finland to join the military alliance last year. Both Finland and Sweden filed to join NATO, though Sweden's process is still ongoing. NATO officials will raise Finland's flag between the French and Estonian flags in a ceremony later Tuesday.
NATO has said that it has no immediate intention to step up a military presence in Finland. Some members have deployed troops there for war games over the past year, however.
As with all NATO members, Finland will benefit from the collective security guarantee of Article 5: "an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all." (Read more)

- Father, we bless Finland in their efforts of national security against Russia and anyone else who would seek to overthrow their small nation. We pray for NATO to operate with justice and integrity and that Russia would not drive over this land, as they have done with Ukraine, in Jesus name. Bless Finland, Sweden, Ukraine and all other sovereign countries.

7. China complains about Kevin McCarthy 'sending wrong signals' to Taiwan - Washington Examiner
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) intention to meet Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen is “sending wrong signals” to Taiwanese officials, according to a senior Chinese diplomat.
“We strongly oppose any form of official interaction and contact between the U.S. side and Taiwan authorities,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said Monday. “Relevant U.S. congressman needs to abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques, refrain from sending wrong signals to 'Taiwan independence’ forces, and avoid undermining the China-U.S. relations and peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.”
Tsai and McCarthy decided to meet at the Reagan Library in California in an apparent effort to avoid the kind of crisis with China that erupted when then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) landed in Taipei in August. Their carefully calibrated itinerary tests the ability of all sides to strike a balance between face-saving and the shared concern that any concession in one direction or another could set an unfavorable precedent. - We bless Kevin McCarthy for taking a thoughtful and firm stand for freedom in meeting with Taiwan's President. We pray for Taiwan and their protection against Chinese aggression and we thank You Father for Your presence and light in all of these nations. 8. Another tornado outbreak targets the Midwest, South - Axios
The third tornado outbreak in as many weeks is predicted Tuesday across much of the same region that has seen extensive damage and more than 50 fatalities.
Threat level: The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a "moderate risk" severe weather outlook, which is a level 4 out of 5 on its threat scale. Two areas of moderate risk exist within a larger area of "enhanced risk," which is a level 3 out of 5.
- Moderate risk includes eastern Iowa, northwestern Missouri and northwestern Illinois. The second extends from southern Missouri into much of Arkansas, parts of Louisiana and far eastern Texas.
- "Afternoon and overnight potential is expected across various regions, including the risk of dangerous nighttime tornadoes." Nighttime tornadoes are more than twice as likely to cause deaths, in part because people may not be as attuned to severe weather warnings.
- Read more and study tonight's map by going here.

|
- Lord God, we continue to cry out for mercy in the midst of these unrelenting storms. In particular, we lift up all the residents of the states named
in this alert as these tornadoes may hit during the night. Help them know the special
precautions to take to preserve their lives should this happen. For example, we note that officials do recommend wearing a helmet and shoes when going to bed. Thank you, O Lord, for hearing our prayer today, in Your name, amen and amen!

The Nashville Christian school shooting by a transgender woman identifying as a man has politicians once again calling for more gun control. They refuse to consider the responsibility and character of the person pulling the trigger. The LGBTQ+ community argues vehemently that intolerance and lack of public acceptance causes children questioning their sexuality to attempt and commit suicide at alarming rates. An alternative question: What if LGBTQ+ extremists in schools cause such tremendous unnatural conflict deep in the soul and conscience of young children that it results in depression and suicidal thoughts? Is it time to ban this sexual grooming and predation on minor children in public schools?
Suicide among LGBTQ+ young people is so prominent that the community had to start the Trevor Project in hopes of preventing these young people from wanting to kill themselves. LGBTQ+ youth with suicidal thoughts are estimated at over 40% and those attempting it are 25%. How long is it before they want to kill others? Did that day come in Nashville—shortly after there was a call for “a trans day of vengeance”? Is the anger projection so deep, that it is becoming an organized effort, especially aimed at those with a Biblical worldview? Does it mean that those of us who have an alternative opinion should be killed? Several are publicly saying that. It can be called “gender affirming care” or “sexual identity” or “pride,” but is it the wolf seeking to devour both innocent children and those given over to their own delusion?
Romans 1 contends that God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith and His wrath is revealed against the ungodliness and unrighteousness of men because God has shown it to them. Verse 20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” These exchanged the truth of God that they know deep inside for the lie. Verses 26-27 conclude: “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”
What if their anger really isn’t about acceptance and tolerance? What if the anger comes from the guilt and shame they feel spiritually deep in their souls? What if this anger causes suicidal thoughts and hate for those who disagree? People’s sexuality as adults is their own business. But this sexualization agenda is extremely destructive to children. Shouldn’t anything in schools that results in dividing, frustrating or undermining the God-ordained family unit be banned? Should LGBTQ+ evangelizing, grooming, preying on children be stopped? Should sexual education of children be allowed only with well-informed parental consent? Should these school kids be kids without influence of drag queens, lesbians, gays, homosexuals, transgenders, whatever, confusing them to the point of suicide? Is this hate or is it common sense?

Watchdog Accuses Ilhan Omar of Potentially Abusing Official Resources
|
|
|
An ethics watchdog is asking the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) to investigate Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for potentially violating federal law and House ethics rules by abusing official resources for political purposes.
The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed an ethics complaint with the ethics office, asking for an investigation into Omar’s use of the Chinese social media app TikTok to determine if her account violates House rules and abused official resources for political purposes.
The popular Chinese social media app, owned by Beijing-based ByteDance Ltd, has been banned on United States government devices — when a provision was added to the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill President Joe Biden signed into law — for being a potential national security problem. And lawmakers are looking to ban TikTok entirely in the United States over many significant concerns over the app’s ability. (breitbart.com) Read more

About That Balloon. . .
By Gary Bauer
American Values
|
|
|
When a spy balloon from communist China flew over the continental United States, the Biden Administration responded by downplaying the seriousness of the situation. The president himself dismissed it as “not a major breach.”
Well, somebody’s not telling the truth.
NBC News reports that the spy balloon “was able to gather intelligence from several sensitive American military sites.” Moreover, Beijing controlled the balloon, making “multiple passes over some of the sites at times flying figure-eight formations,” while transmitting information back in real time.
Responding to the outrage from Capitol Hill, the Biden White House continues to insist that the balloon “didn’t discover anything really additive to what they could have gotten from other intelligence sources.”
That doesn’t pass the straight face test. The Chinese communists are very deliberate in their strategies. Why would they risk an international incident by sending a spy balloon over the continental United States if they could get the same information by other means?
This is just one more example of how stupid the Biden Administration thinks you are.

NASA names crew for first human moon mission since Apollo
|
|
HOUSTON — For the first time since the Apollo era, NASA on Monday named a crew of astronauts for a lunar expedition.
The astronauts will fly around the moon in a mission that would precede the first human landing there since 1972.
In an event here, NASA officials said astronauts Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Reid Wiseman will be joined by Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen on the Artemis II mission, which is scheduled to launch late next year.
The announcement comes about four months after the successful completion of the Artemis I flight, a test that for the first time launched the massive Space Launch System rocket and sent the Orion crew capsule, without any astronauts on board, in orbit around the moon.
With the naming of the crew, a diverse group that includes the first woman, African American and Canadian to fly on a moon mission, NASA’s Artemis campaign now has human faces attached to it — some of the best and brightest of the astronaut corps — which the space agency hopes will help solidify its support among members of Congress as it prepares for its next flights. Feucht Prays Spirit Baptism Over Nashville After Covenant School Murders
|
|
An afternoon of prayer, worship and healing in Nashville drew tens of thousands of citizens, police, pastors and leaders to the Tennessee state capitol grounds Saturday, where they lifted the name of Jesus above the heartbreak of six innocent deaths at a Christian elementary school. About 5,000 people including Nashville-area worship leaders gathered six days after a demonic attack carried out by a murderous former student killed six people—three students and three staff members—at The Covenant School.
Healing and comfort through prayer, worship and community were the hopes for the Nashville Day of Prayer. Five months before Monday's horrific assault by a disturbed shooter, worship leader Sean Feucht's #KingdomToTheCapital tour chose Nashville for a stop on this particular Saturday. "God had it planned that we would be right here, right now," Feucht said minutes after opening the event on Saturday afternoon. This isn't an accident; we're here in a moment of crisis," Feucht said after declaring Jeremiah 33:6 over the city. The verse reads, "I will bring it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth" (MEV).
Strumming his guitar before the crowd, Feucht pointed to the Lord for solutions and answers. "We're here because we need You, God. We make space for You to do what only You can," Feucht said. He declared the name of Jesus over pain and fear, then led the crowd in singing 'Our God Reigns.' "I believe God has commissioned worshipers to go ahead of this city, to bring healing and to facilitate a place where He can encounter His people. This is why we are here today," Feucht said. We declare Your presence will bring healing and many to acknowledge You as King of kings and Lord of lords! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ-Amen

Crown Him With Many Crowns
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Matthew Bridges
Music: George Elvey
Scripture: His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. Revelation 19:12
Lyrics:
Crown Him with many crowns,
The Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of Him who died for thee;
And hail Him as thy matchless king
Through all eternity!
Crown Him the Lord of life,
Who triumphed o’er the grave,
And rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save.
His glories now we sing,
Who died, and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring,
And lives that death may die.
Crown Him the Lord of Heav’n,
Enthroned in worlds above,
Crown Him the king to whom is giv’n
The wondrous name of Love.
Crown Him with many crowns,
As thrones before Him fall;
Crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns,
For He is king of all.
