State AGs Confront Bank of America for Canceling Conservative Accounts
Last week, a group of 15 state attorneys general sent a letter to the second largest bank in the U.S. demanding a report about its account policies and practices following a pattern of denied services and canceled accounts that appeared to target groups “for political and religious reasons.”
The letter, led by Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach (R), also requests that Bank of America “update its terms of service to state that it doesn’t discriminate against customers for their religious or political views or speech, and remove prohibitions on ‘intolerance’ and ‘hate’ from its online banking service agreement.”
“Bank of America has a history of either denying … requested banking services to organizations who have politically disfavored activities — like gun companies or fossil fuel companies — and it also has a history of debanking customers that it already had,” Kobach told Family Research Council President Tony Perkins during Wednesday’s edition of “Washington Watch.” “[T]here are some recent examples of this where Bank of America has … closed accounts for Christian-based ministries. This is in violation of not only federal law, but it violates many of our state laws. Ironically for Bank of America, [this is] highly un-American.”
As the letter further details, Bank of America also denied services to “contractors for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement” and “voluntarily cooperated with the FBI and U.S. Treasury to profile conservative and religious Americans as potential domestic terrorists.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

- Father, we pray that You will work to stop any bank from removing customers based on their political views when there is no violation of the Constitution.  We ask for a realignment of priorities for all banks.

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Luke 12:34)

Justice Alito Questions Whether Prosecuting Presidents Would Undermine the Government
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito on Thursday questioned whether prosecuting former presidents may undermine the county’s governance during a hearing on former President Donald Trump’s presidential immunity case.
President Trump’s lawyers have argued that former presidents are entitled to absolute immunity for their official acts. Otherwise, they say, politically motivated prosecutions of former occupants of the Oval Office would become routine and presidents couldn’t function as the commander-in-chief if they had to worry about criminal charges.
“I’m sure you would agree with me that a stable, democratic society requires that a candidate who loses an election, even a close one, even a hotly contested one, leave office peacefully, if that candidate is the incumbent,” Justice Alito asked Michael Dreeben, an attorney for special counsel Jack Smith’s team, which is prosecuting the former president in two separate cases. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Lord, we pray that the Justices would decide wisely in the knowledge of the ramifications of their ruling. Grant them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

- “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” (Proverbs 18:15)

DOJ Refuses to Comply with Congressional Subpoena and Hand Over Biden Audio, Despite Threat of Contempt
Castigating House Republicans by accusing them of playing politics, Assistant Attorney General Carlos Uriarte flatly rejected the latest effort to obtain the audio recording of special counsel Robert Hur’s interviews with President Joe Biden.
Hur was named to investigate the classified documents scattered hither and yon among Biden’s homes and an office he once used. He ended the investigation in February, saying the president should not face charges.
One reason given for that decision was Biden’s age and mental condition.
Hur’s report said the president “would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
For weeks, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky have been asking the Department of Justice for the tapes of those interviews, most recently threatening contempt charges if they are not provided. (Western Journal) Read more here.

- Lord, we pray that You would reverse the effects of the weaponized DOJ and bring true justice and truth to the agency. Let them no longer defy subpoenas and become truly transparent for the people of America.

- ‘Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.“ (Romans 13:3)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. After monitoring terrorist, IDF destroys Hezbollah military compound in Lebanon - Israel National News

IDF soldiers on Sunday identified and monitored a Hezbollah terrorist operating in the area of Ayta ash Shab as he entered a military compound belonging to the terrorist organization, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.

A short while after, fighter jets struck the structure in which the terrorist was operating and destroyed the infrastructure, the statement added.

On Sunday evening, meanwhile, two launches were identified crossing from Lebanon toward the area of Har Dov in northern Israel. (Read more)

2. Israeli FM: Rafah op to be suspended if hostage deal secured - World Israel News

Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on Saturday that an imminent military operation in Rafah would be suspended if a hostage release deal is secured, calling it the top priority to free the remaining abductees taken by Hamas on Oct. 7.

“The release of the hostages is the top priority for us,” the member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Security Cabinet told Channel 12, adding that “if there will be a deal, we will suspend the operation” in the last Hamas bastion in southernmost Gaza.

Katz is not a member of the War Cabinet overseeing the operation in Gaza, which entered its 205th day on Sunday. (Read more)

3. Gantz, far-right ministers issue dueling ultimatums to PM over hostage deal, Rafah op - Times of Israel

Ministers issued dueling threats on Sunday to leave the government as Israel negotiated a deal for the return of hostages held by Hamas and made preparations for a ground offensive in Rafah, further ratcheting up pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while he attempts to navigate the increasing domestic and international pressures over the war in Gaza.

War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz, whose National Unity party joined the government days after the Hamas-led October 7 terror onslaught that triggered the ongoing fighting, said that although an IDF operation in Rafah “is important in the long struggle against Hamas, the return of our hostages — who were abandoned by the government on October 7 — is urgent and of far greater importance.”

“If a responsible outline is reached for the return of the hostages with the backing of the entire security establishment — which does not involve ending the war — and the ministers who led the government on October 7 prevent it, the government will have no right to continue to exist and lead the campaign,” Gantz said in a statement. (Read more)

4. Israeli Official to i24NEWS: ‘We’re Expecting Response from Sinwar Within 48 hours’ - Algemeiner

i24 News – The Israeli delegation is expecting Hamas Gaza chief Yahya Sinwar to give a response to its latest offer regarding the hostage-ceasefire deal within the next 48 hours, an Israeli source told i24NEWS.

“Israel has shown a willingness to make very large concessions regarding the return of Gazans to the northern Gaza Strip,” said the source.

In case of another negative answer from Hamas, Israel is expected to choose a “phased and controlled” action in order to deal with the remaining Hamas battalions in Rafah, stressed the source. “The intense war in Gaza is nearing its end, Israel is raising its eyes to the northern front.” (Read more)

5. Iranian dissident promotes independence for Arab minority in Iran, calls to join hands with Israel - Jerusalem Post

Before answering any questions, Hamid Mutasher asked to congratulate the Jewish people on the occasion of Passover, and express his condolences for the loss of more than 1,200 innocent people during the October 7th massacre. “We in Ahwaz call it the ‘October 7th of Qassem Soleimani the terrorist.’ We also made a point to stress our categorical rejection of all the terrorist acts practiced by Hamas, ‘the ISIS wing of the terrorist IRGC.’ We pray for Israel’s victory over the forces of darkness and evil, and, God willing, victory will be your ally.”

Hamid Mutshar, a peace activist and from the Arab Ahwazi minority of Iran was forced to flee his homeland following years of political activism, and today describes himself as ‘leader of the Ahwazi Liberal Party, teacher, and former political prisoner.’

Born in the city of Al-Ahwaz in 1978, he now holds a master’s degree in literature and philosophy and devotes his life to combating the Islamic Republic. “There is an illegal occupation in our lands. The practices of this Nazi occupier towards our people are what prompted us to try and revolt against them, to expel them from our lands, and liberate our oppressed people from the claws of this Persian tyrant, who today threatens and kills everyone, everywhere.” (Read more)

1. Blinken Meets CCP Leader Xi, Questions China’s Support for Russia’s War-  Epoch Times

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is “powering” Russia’s war against Ukraine, and Moscow would “struggle” to sustain its attack without the Chinese support, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on April 26 before leaving China, ending his three-day trip.
The trip marked Mr. Blinken’s second trip to China in less than a year, and on both occasions, he held face-to-face talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Before concluding his latest trip, Mr. Blinken also met with the CCP’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, the public security minister, Wang Xiaohong, and Shanghai’s CCP chief, Chen Jining.
Mr. Blinken’s trip is part of the Biden administration’s continued efforts to engage with Beijing, with the goal of leveraging face-to-face communication to prevent unintended conflict. The timing of the trip comes as Congress recently renewed attention to the CCP’s ongoing campaigns to infiltrate different aspects of American society via political warfare. (Read more)

- Lord, we place our trust in You rather than an administration that often seems favorable to our adversaries. We bind all words and promises made during this visit and ask that only Your perfect will prevail.

- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

2: Biden Declares Spiritual Warfare by Making Sign of the Cross at Pro-Abortion Rally- The Washington Stand

Nearly two years after launching a “whole-of-government approach” to support the abortion industry, President Joe Biden has now invoked a Higher Power. At a campaign stop in Florida on Tuesday, Biden made the sign of the Cross in an apparent attempt to ward off pro-life legislation, mocked the notion that miracles happen in politics, and wondered aloud about “what the Hell is in” the Bible.
During a pro-abortion speech in Tampa, the purportedly “devout Catholic” Biden lashed out at former President Donald Trump for allegedly being a pro-life extremist. The 46th president seemed incredulous that the 45th president “described the Dobbs decision as a ‘miracle.’ Maybe it’s coming from that Bible he’s trying to sell. Whoa. I almost wanted to buy one just to see what the hell is in it.”
It seems curious Joe Biden wouldn’t have picked up some of the fundamentals of the Bible from attending daily Mass before going to “the black church” every Sunday, between stops in the Greek Orthodox and Puerto Rican communities, all after attending synagogue on Shabbat. (Perhaps he should sign up for FRC’s Stand on the Word Bible devotional.)
That was but one facet of Biden’s inversion of Scripture. At a meeting with volunteers in Tampa, Biden invoked the power of our Lord’s precious and life-giving Cross as a guest speaker discussed abortion. (Read more)

- Lord in Heaven, this man has no concept of what he is doing. While we pray for Your forgiveness, we also pray for the removal of all in this administration who seem to be against Your ways.

- “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)

3: Another dangerous tornado outbreak expected Saturday as 55 million under severe weather threat- Fox

Another widespread and life-threatening tornado outbreak is likely across the Southern Plains on Saturday, just hours after twisters ripped through the nation’s heartland, leaving more than a dozen injured and neighborhoods reduced to rubble.
Some 55 million people are under threat of severe weather as the atmosphere recharges Saturday, stretching some 1,500 miles from border to border along the Plains, Mississippi Valley and into the Great Lakes, including many of the places still picking up the damage from Friday’s storms.
A round of severe thunderstorms will kick off from northwestern Texas into western Oklahoma on Saturday morning with large hail and damaging wind the primary threat.
A Tornado Watch - the first of what will likely be several on Saturday - has been issued for parts of Texas and Oklahoma through 1 p.m. CT.
Widespread severe thunderstorms are expected to evolve Saturday afternoon when the atmosphere becomes extremely favorable for multiple tornadoes and massive hail.

- Precious Lord, we lift up the victims of this horrific weather situation and ask for Your restoration and comfort to fill their lives with hope.

- “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)

4.  3 Arizona Republicans Vote for Bill Repealing Pro-Life Protections- The Washington Stand

Before Arizona was a state, the Arizona territorial legislature upheld a law that protects unborn children from abortion. Passed in 1864, the 160-year-old law was only reversed because of the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. But as Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler said recently on his daily podcast “The Briefing,” “The game changer there was Roe v. Wade. The second game changer was the reversal of Roe v. Wade, nearly a half century later in 2022, the Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court.”
With the Dobbs decision in 2022, Roe was no more. As a result, the Arizona Supreme Court revived the law on the basis that it “still takes precedence.” Cathi Herrod, president of the Center for Arizona Policy, previously told The Washington Stand, “The focus for [this decision] is that the Arizona Supreme Court did what justices are supposed to do: they upheld the rule of law. They did not make policy.”
But on the heels of the decision, a back-and-forth battle within the state of Arizona has arisen, raising a variety of questions, concerns, and arguments. For one, some have questioned whether the Arizona law protecting life from conception would override a newer law, signed in March 2022, that puts 15-week pro-life protections within the state. Moreover, pro-abortion activists concerned over the limits are actively “working to codify the right to kill the unborn,” Breitbart reported. Additionally, they wrote, “Arizona for Abortion Access … said last week that they had amassed more than 500,000 signatures, well past the 383,923 required for the proposed amendment to qualify for the ballot in November. If the abortion measure makes it on the November ballot, it would need a simple majority to pass.” (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You move across our nation with repentance and shame, to bring life where death has reigned for decades. Specifically we ask for Arizona to come to the knowledge of truth abou the shedding of innocent blood.

- “There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” (Proverbs 6:16-19)

5. Justice Alito Revives Fetal Personhood Debate In Idaho Abortion Case -The Daily Wire

Justice Samuel Alito revived the legal debate about fetal personhood this week during oral arguments for the Idaho abortion case currently before the Supreme Court.
The Idaho case deals with whether Idaho emergency room doctors are required by federal law to perform abortions to stabilize pregnant women in medical crises. Idaho bans all abortions except to save the life of the mother or in cases of rape and incest.
The case is the first time the high court has considered whether a state abortion ban is constitutional since the demise of Roe v. Wade.
In the Idaho case, the Biden administration is arguing that Idaho’s abortion ban flies in the face of a federal law, the Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act, known as EMTALA, which requires hospitals receiving federal funds to provide patients with stabilizing care. Hospitals that flout the law are at risk of losing their Medicare funding.
Meanwhile, Idaho officials counter that the Biden administration is simply trying to undermine the state’s abortion ban. (Read more)

- Lord, let no actions destroy the pro-life laws of the states that have them. We pray that all of the United States will come to see Your heart so that faith will replace selfish fear in all cases so that the lives of the unborn will be preserved.

- “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.” (Jeremiah 1:5a)
6.  Report: Groups Organizing College Protests Funded by Soros-Tied Entities- Breitbart

Several groups involved in organizing anti-Israel protests that have broken out at college campuses since last week have received money from organizations funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros, according to a report.
And at least one of the groups is paying radicals they dub fellows thousands of dollars to head up “campaigns led by Palestinian organizations,” the New York Post reported Friday.
One group is Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), whose satellites helped organize encampments at Ohio State University, Berkeley, Harvard, Yale, and Emory, per the report.
“The SJP parent organization has been funded by a network of nonprofits ultimately funded by, among others, Soros, the billionaire left-wing investor,” the Post‘s Isabel Vincent writes.
SJP with two other groups, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Within Our Lifetime, reportedly staked the tents at Columbia University on April 17. (Read more)

- Lord, we take Your authority over the Soros entities, all of them, and pray that You will work a miracle in their lives and those of the students. We ask for a mighty move of repentance and truth to sweep across  the nation to touch every corner.

- “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)

7Arizona's Democratic Governor Vetoes 10 Bills Simultaneously, Including Anti-Squatting and Election Security Measures- Western Journal

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed 1o bills passed by the Republican-controlled state legislature Tuesday, including bills aimed at keeping non-residents of Arizona from voting in the state and prohibiting state funds from being invested in counties the U.S. Secretary of Commerce has labeled a “foreign adversary.”
The vetoes brought Hobbs’ total to 52 for this legislative sessions, the Arizona Daily Star noted.
Radio station KJZZ, which has been keeping a running tally of Hobbs’ vetoes,  said that Hobbs “shattered” the previous record for number of vetoes by a governor in 2023 and was “showing no signs of stopping” this year.
“Hobbs, a Democrat, denies accusations that her office refuses to work with Republicans,” the station reported.
“I’ve shown over and over again that I’m willing to work with anyone on real solutions,” she said, according to KJZZ. “I ran on sanity versus chaos and I’ve said over and over again that I’ll work with anyone but I’ll also be the backstop.” (Read more)

- Father, the words from this woman’s mouth do not match her actions. We pray that You will work in her heart to see the error of her ways and restore truth to all leadership in Arizona. We bind the deception and hypocrisy that has run rampant through the legislature.

8. Trump Addresses CPAC Hungary: We’re in An Epic Struggle to Liberate Our Nations from Sinister Forces- Breitbart

Former President Donald Trump delivered an upbeat message to attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Hungary on Friday morning.
“Together, we’re engaged in an epic struggle to liberate our nation from all the sinister forces who want to destroy them. Every day we’re battling to preserve our culture, protect our sovereignty, defend our way of life and uphold the timeless values of freedom, family and faith in Almighty God,” Trump said in a video address at gathering for conservatives in Europe.
Trump thanked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, seen as Europe’s top crusader against the spread of wokeism, and said he looked forward to working closely with him again.
“As President I was proud to work with Prime Minister Orban, by the way a great man to advance the values and interests of our our traditions, and Judeo Christian values. That’s so important — Judeo-Christian values,” he said. (Read more)

- Father, we truly are in a battle against “sinister forces.” The devil is active and working to destroy all that was built over the centuries in the nation that You created. We ask for Your power and strength to see this battle won!

SOS Prayer for Israel
(Name of source redacted upon request.)
Dear Prayer Warriors,     Please feel free to share this with others but without my                                                  name.  Thank you!!!

Please pray NOW! and for the next 2 days.

A 'Deal' has been Presented by Israel to Hamas.
Today, with the 'help' of Qatar,? Egypt, US and I think Saudi Arabia, there has been a 'deal' crafted and presented to Hamas. H. is considering it and will give their decision within 48  hrs.

If the speculations of the 'deal' are correct, it is NOT A GOOD one.

In the past deals, Israel has NEVER accepted a total ceasefire as one of the criteria..
This would be a disaster. They need to finish off the Hamas strongholds (one more to go)
Also, in the past, Hamas has NEVER accepted a 'deal' without a total ceasefire.
The 'deal' itself has not been made public as far as I know.

Yesterday, a video made by Hamas was sent to the Israel, showing 2 men hostages (47 and 64 years old) to sway/influence/manipulate the families and friends of the hostages to put even MORE pressure on them.

You can be assured that the men were told EXACTLY what to say and how to act.  Hamas is feeling the pressure to get the Government to make a 'deal' quick, before Rafah is seized (the last stronghold of Hamas).

A Link for the video of one of the Hostages Keith Segal:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIkKyyxGX6o

Thus, last night, 100,000 protesters were to meet at a strategic place in Jerusalem to cause the most impact after seeing this video. I think this is why a 'deal' was sent today.

I am praying that 'the counsel of the Hamas leaders will be turned into foolishness.' as David prayed to the LORD concerning his enemy. (2 Sam. 15:31)  I have been praying this all along and each time, Sinwar has refused the deals and has advised crazy ones..

Other considerations are: Hamas is not telling Israel how many of the hostages are still alive.
We get the impression that they don't even know where the hostages are in Gaza.
And Hamas is demanding the hard core murderers in Israeli prisons to be the first to be released in the exchange part of any deal.
CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE!
PART ONE:

“And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)

FINANCE MINISTER SMOTRICH INFORMS PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU: A DEAL UNDER THE CURRENT CONDITIONS - MEANS THE END OF YOUR GOVERNMENT.

Mr. Prime Minister,

Egyptian mediation deals that ended previous "rounds" when Hamas was alive and kicking and allowed it to strengthen again and again and massacre Israeli citizens like it has not happened since the Holocaust, this is exactly what you have led in the last two decades, and it is exactly, but exactly what we all promised not to do again this time.

Agreeing to the Egyptian deal is a humiliating surrender, and it grants victory to the Nazis on the backs of the hundreds of heroic IDF soldiers who fell in battle. It imposes a death sentence on the abductees who are not included in the deal, and above all - it poses an immediate existential danger to the State of Israel.

If you decide to raise a white flag and cancel the order to occupy Rafah immediately for the purpose of completing the task of destroying Hamas, and restoring security to the residents of the south and the citizens of Israel, and returning ALL our abducted brothers and sisters to their homes - the government headed by you will have no right to exist.”

This is a fateful moment for the people of Israel. The decision is yours.

PART TWO:

"Connecting the World to Israel in Realtime"

Netanyahu has reached the point of no return. He must choose to bow the knee to President Biden, and choose to follow the plans of man, or to say NO!

We are going to choose and trust in the God of Israel, and we choose to serve the Lord! - Not Man!

It is interesting that tonight all these events are coming together! Why is tonight so special?

The seventh day of Pesach is the last day of Passover. On this night the Red Sea parted at midnight which tonight (Sunday) is at approximately 00:36 and continued until the morning light.

It is considered a special time to recite the Song of the Sea, (the Song of Moses) with great joy, and a special time for blessings of finding a spouse, children, peace in the marriage, and health.  May everyone be so blessed!

God set before the Jewish people blessings and curses, and instructed them to choose life!

Please pray Israel’s leaders will choose life, by choosing to follow His commandments, and not the plans and schemes of man!

WHERE IS THE LOVE?
It is alarming to see how much hate and anti there is in this world.  Where is the love?  I tell you true it is still here in the person of Jesus Christ.  The cries in the streets should be "Salvation in no other name but Jesus Christ"!

In times of pain and distress; in times of great difficulties, He has been my constant,  A friend in need, a friend indeed.  I am content, yes even in the midst of all this darkness and evil that He is with Me and all of His chosen people.  He is the Light of the World.  Eternal light of glory and love and peace.  It is in His light that you will find the purity of light, love and His word to the nations.

Man must stop looking in the past and present and all the wrong places that bring forth hatred and agony of mind and look to God, the Author and Perfector of our faith.  He is the only way!  He is our only future hope.  We should see this now and hold fast to this and His truth.

God loves you and so do I and we give it out to you sincerely, truly, and freely.

A typical New England stone wall in Hebron, Conn. Robert M. Thorson, CC BY-ND
New England stone walls lie at the intersection of history, archaeology, ecology and geoscience, and deserve a science of their own

The abandoned fieldstone walls of New England are every bit as iconic to the region as lobster pots, town greens, sap buckets and fall foliage. They seem to be everywhere – a latticework of dry, lichen-crusted stone ridges separating a patchwork of otherwise moist soils.

Stone walls can be found here and there in other states, but only in New England are they nearly ubiquitous. That’s due to a regionally unique combination of hard crystalline bedrock, glacial soils and farms with patchworks of small land parcels.

Nearly all were built by European settlers and their draft animals, who scuttled glacial stones from agricultural fields and pastures outward to fencelines and boundaries, then tossed or stacked them as lines. Though the oldest walls date to 1607, most were built in the agrarian century between the American Revolution and the cultural shift toward cities and industry after the Civil War.

The mass of stone that farmers moved in that century staggers the mind – an estimated 240,000 miles (400,000 kilometers) of barricades, most stacked thigh-high and similarly wide. That’s long enough to wrap our planet 10 times at the equator, or to reach the Moon on its closest approach to Earth. Read More

The Good News Corner
West Virginia Student Helps Pass Bill to Teach Intelligent Design:

'This Is a God-Fearing State'
For years, teachers have been limited in teaching students about the Creation of the universe. That included staying away from Intelligent Design, considered taboo due to its ties to the Bible. One West Virginia high school student felt that was unfair and helped draft a bill allowing West Virginia teachers to cover "scientific theory," which includes intelligent design. Sixteen-year-old West Virginia high school student Haden Hodge was just 14 when he decided to help his teachers increase the scientific theories they could include in lessons on how the world came to be. While the so-called Big Bang and evolution made the list, the theory that perhaps God supernaturally created the universe and humanity did not.  "So I think a lot of it was fear. They were just afraid if a student asked a question like that and they answered it truthfully, then they were afraid of anything that could happen to them with their jobs or in their personal life or anything like that," Haden told us. "And like I said, with that science teacher, he was afraid to even have conversations like that and I thought, 'This needs to change. He needs to feel like he can talk about this without any fear of losing his job,'" Haden said.

With the help of his father Tony and some West Virginia lawmakers, Haden drafted a bill that would allow teachers to include discussion of Intelligent Design.  "Well, first of all, I'll tell you, Haden, he spearheaded this himself. I mean, he came to me and asked for my advice, 'Dad, how can we do this?' or whatever, and I just kind of gave him a little bit of advice. I said, but if you want to do it, you need to be the one to head it up. And so he sat down and did research, and he ended up working on the language himself and talked to the senator that represents our district and went to her and she happens to be the chair of the Education Committee, Sen. Amy Grady. He took it to her, and from there the ball just kept rolling. And we're really proud of him and all of his efforts," said Haden's father Tony.  Due to political pushback, they agreed to take the phrase "Intelligent Design" out of the bill although it still allows West Virginia public school teachers to discuss it in the classroom. Some senators saw it as the easiest vote they cast all year. "You have to understand, in West Virginia, this is a God-fearing state. The people here love the Lord. They love God, they love Jesus, and when people have things like this presented before them, they put God first in their lives. And the same goes for our legislators in this building behind me," said Tony.(CBN)  Read More>

- Father, we celebrate this victory in West Virginia for allowing teachers to teach and speak about intelligent design! We ask for Your blessings upon the young student who spearheaded the movement towards change. We declare in Jesus name, this law will influence many more states in passing bills to bring conversation of intelligent design into classrooms across our nation! Open minds and hearts of students to receive the truths of You as Creator of heaven and earth. In Yeshua's powerful name-Amen

- "He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them-he remains faithful forever" (Psalm 146:6)
Thought for the Day
"Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you."

A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Jesus Paid it All

Words:  Elvina Hall
Music: John Grape

Scripture: Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Isaiah 1:18

Lyrics:
I hear the Savior say,
Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.

Refrain
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim,
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.

Refrain

And now complete in Him
My robe His righteousness,
Close sheltered ’neath His side,
I am divinely blest.

Refrain

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone.

Refrain

When from my dying bed
My ransomed soul shall rise,
Jesus died my soul to save,
Shall rend the vaulted skies.

Refrain

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I’ll lay my trophies down
All down at Jesus’ feet.

Refrain
