Justice Kavanaugh Warns of Vicious Cycle of Malicious Prosecutions That Could End Presidency
|
|
During Thursday’s deliberations at the U.S. Supreme Court on former President Donald Trump’s immunity claim, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh warned that a decision in the case has future implications for whether future presidents are shielded from vicious cycles of malicious prosecution that could effectively end the presidency as we know it.
In the course of two-and-a-half hours of oral arguments on April 25, justices on the Supreme Court appeared skeptical of a ruling by a federal appeals court that rejected President Trump’s claim that he has absolute immunity from criminal charges based on his official acts as president.
A federal appeals court rejected that argument, claiming that presidents must face prosecution for alleged criminal wrongdoing.
The question that is now before the Supreme Court is: “Whether and if so to what extent does a former president enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office?”
During Thursday’s deliberations, the justices weighed the claim of absolute immunity that, if adopted, would stop Mr. Smith’s prosecution of the former president dead in its tracks.
Justice Kavanaugh said that when presidents are subject to prosecution, history shows that it’s not going to stop. “It’s going to cycle back and be used against the current president or the next president ... and the next president and the next president after that.”
Justice Neil Gorsuch, who said that the court is “writing a rule for the ages,” along with Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Kavanaugh all said that their concern was not so much the case against President Trump, but rather the effect of the ruling on future presidencies. “This case has huge implications for the presidency, for the future of the presidency, for the future of the country,” Justice Kavanaugh said. - Thank You Abba for granting Your divine wisdom upon the Supreme Court justices. May they decide according to Your order and direction and not be vulnerable to the whims of the flesh, in Jesus name. We pray for victory in this matter because truly it will impact our nation for generations, and because our nation was founded on biblical principles, we pray Holy One for Your stability and strength to sustain our nation in the time of blowing winds and crashing waves. Would you please continue to speak to the Supreme Court justices, as they help frame the future of our nation according to Your direction, in Jesus name.
-"'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.'" (Matthew 6:33)

Audit Finds Oklahoma Officials Mismanaged Millions in COVID-19 Relief Funds
|
|
An audit report released on April 23 alleges that Oklahoma officials mismanaged millions in federal coronavirus relief funds and possibly violated the law during the pandemic.
According to Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector Cindy Byrd, at least two state agencies may have abandoned the competitive bidding process mandated by state law, misreported the status of millions in federal grant funds, and deprived thousands of Oklahomans of benefits.
One official named in the report disputed the allegations. She claims the report is misleading because auditors didn’t ask her to explain what they found.
Oklahoma was awarded $1.2 billion in COVID-19 relief funds in March 2020. CARES FORWARD and the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) handled much of that money. OMES was allowed to establish new rules for vendor contracts, in a pilot program the report calls “rolling solicitations.”
OMES reportedly adapted the program to allow OMES officials to place vendors on a list to receive no-bid state contracts, possibly violating state law.
“SAI has determined these new rules are not in the best interest of Oklahoma taxpayers,” a press release from Ms. Byrd’s office reads. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

|
- Father, we pray that Oklahoma and every other state that skirted the law during the covid drama be held accountable to the citizens of their state and all taxpayers. We pray that there would be a responsibility for restitution upon the governments so that the citizens would receive their due finances, in Jesus name. We pray for citizen watchdogs to bring this matter to an equitable conclusion and that the big government agencies are held responsible for their deeds.
- "'No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.'" (Luke 16:13)

Social Media Poses Numerous Risks to Young Minds, Change ‘Needed Soon’, New Study Warns
|
|
A new study reveals that social media platforms pose several risks for young children and offers a warning that “change is needed soon.”
The latest report from the American Psychological Association (APA) warns that social media platforms developed for adults are not inherently appropriate for children. Young minds require a higher level of protection due to their mental and emotional vulnerabilities, the April report warns. This is particularly important for children who are already suffering from mental health issues or other developmental challenges.
“Chronological age,” the study warns, “is not directly associated with social media readiness.”
Despite efforts by state lawmakers to set standards to shield minors from harm online, the APA says few meaningful improvements have been made to social media platforms by the tech industry to protect children and no policies have been enacted at the federal level.
Making the challenge more difficult, tech lobbying organizations like NetChoice actively fight against state efforts to impose restrictions on social media access for children.
According to the APA, brain development for children—starting around the ages of 10 to 13 until sometime in their mid-20s—is associated with hypersensitivity to social feedback.
Simply put, children are inherently drawn toward things that will bring them attention, favorable feedback, and praise from their peers.
AI-recommended content—such as images and videos generated or modified on social media platforms like TikTok—can be particularly influential and addictive for children.
Children are also easily swayed by peer influence and easily damaged by rejection. (Epoch Times) Read more here.
|
|
- Praise You Father, that the APA with all of its lofty wisdom has determined that the brain development of children is insufficient to adequately cope with the peer influence and rejection that comes with unfettered social media use. We pray that this determination will span the spectrum of influences in the life of vulnerable young children, most particularly supporting the impropriety of the sexual agenda on children who seek attention and praise from peers and others. Jesus, we pray for the children of our nation to be protected by families, educators, professionals and most especially You and Your angel warriors. There is such a battle for them and we declare they are off-limits to the agendas of darkness and we cover them with the blood of Jesus so they become untouchable by the darkness, in Jesus name.
- "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" (1 Peter 2:9)

1. Smotrich: Gov’t has ‘no right to exist’ if Rafah op canceled - JNS
The government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will lose its legitimacy if it accepts the “humiliating surrender” proposed to Hamas during ongoing hostages-for-ceasefire-and-terrorists negotiations, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Sunday.
Axios reported on Saturday that the deal being discussed includes significant compromises by Israel and that, for the first time, Jerusalem is considering ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
New terms conveyed to mediator Egypt include a willingness to discuss the “restoration of sustainable calm” in Gaza.
Netanyahu previously dismissed the terrorist group’s demand to end the war before it is totally defeated as “delusional.” (Read more)

2. Israel reduces number of hostages to be released in Hamas deal to 33 - report - Jerusalem Post
Israel has reduced the number of hostages it demands to be released in the first phase of a hostage deal with Hamas to 33, according to a Monday Kan News report.
According to a New York Times exclusive, Israel initially sought to release 40 hostages, including women, children, the seriously ill, and female soldiers. However, a revision occurred partly due to Israel's belief, as indicated by one official, that some of the 40 captives may have died while in captivity.
The shift has sparked hopes that Hamas and Israel may be moving towards finalizing their first truce since a weeklong ceasefire in November, during which Hamas released 105 captives in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners.
Senior Hamas official Izzat al-Rishq mentioned on social media on Monday that Hamas was reviewing a new Israeli proposal, although he did not disclose its details. (Read more)

3. US, Britain Urge Hamas to Accept Israeli Truce Proposal - Algemeiner
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday urged Hamas to swiftly accept an Israeli proposal for a truce in the Gaza war and the release of Israeli hostages held by the Palestinian terrorist group.
Hamas negotiators were expected to meet Qatari and Egyptian mediators in Cairo on Monday to deliver a response to the phased truce proposal which Israel presented at the weekend.
“Hamas has before it a proposal that is extraordinarily, extraordinarily generous on the part of Israel,” Blinken said at a meeting of the World Economic Forum in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
“The only thing standing between the people of Gaza and a ceasefire is Hamas. They have to decide and they have to decide quickly,” he said. “I’m hopeful that they will make the right decision.” (Read more)

The Lebanon branch of the Hamas terror group launched a barrage of dozens of rockets at northern Israel on Monday morning, as skirmishes on the border persisted amid the war in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the Gaza-based Hamas said it had launched a volley of rockets from Lebanon at an army base near the northern city of Kiryat Shmona.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, some 20 rockets had crossed the border in the attack. Most of the projectiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, while the others apparently struck open areas, it said. (Read more)

1. Tennessee Statehouse Approves Bill Allowing Civil Action Against Adults Assisting Minors In Receiving Gender Procedures- Daily Wire
On Thursday, the Tennessee Statehouse offered approval of a bill that would allow civil causes of action to be brought against adults aiding minors in accessing transgender procedures without parental consent.
A summary of the bill on the Tennessee state legislature’s website states that “as introduced,” the bill “creates a civil cause of action against any person who knowingly removes a minor from this state without the consent of a parent of the minor for the purpose of assisting the minor in obtaining a healthcare procedure that is to enable the minor to identify with, or live as, a purported identity inconsistent with the minor’s sex or treating purported discomfort or distress from a discordance between the minor’s sex and asserted identity.”
This means that adults who take such action, assisting minors in leaving the state to obtain cross-sex hormones or to undergo transgender procedures, are liable for taking that action and can be sued. The original version of the bill included criminal penalties for adults in violation of it, but it was amended to only allow for civil penalties for violators. (Read more)

2. Bipartisan bill would create "antisemitism monitors" at colleges - AXIOS
A pro-Israel House Democrat and Republican plan to introduce legislation creating federally sanctioned "antisemitism monitors" for select college campuses.
Why it matters: It's the first bill introduced in Congress as a direct response to the pro-Palestinian protests that have rocked Columbia University and other colleges in recent days.
Driving the news: Reps. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) and Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) are introducing the College Oversight and Legal Updates Mandating Bias Investigations and Accountability Act – or COLUMBIA Act.
The bill would allow the Department of Education to send a "third-party antisemitism monitor" to any college that receives federal funding — and to revoke that funding for colleges that don't comply. The monitor, paid for by the school, would be charged with releasing a public, quarterly report evaluating "the progress that a college or university has made toward combating antisemitism."
What they're saying: "My office and I have spoken with countless Jewish students from campuses across America who feel deeply unsafe, purely as a result of their religious and ethnic identity," Torres said in a statement. "Jewish students have told my office that they feel completely abandoned by their university administrators and they view Congress as the only avenue for accountability and safety." (Read more)

- Thank you for this bill that would monitor anti-Semitism in public colleges. Thank you for bringing this to the attention of the public and protection for the Jewish students.

3. Former Rep. Meijer Drops Out of Republican Senate Race - Epoch Times
Former Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.), one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump in 2021, has announced that he’s pulling out of the Republican primary race for a U.S. Senate seat in Michigan.
Mr. Meijer made the announcement in an April 26 statement, in which he thanked his supporters and said the “hard reality” is that the fundamentals of the race had changed “significantly” since the launch of his campaign six months ago, when he said he was “confident” in his ability to take back for the GOP a soon-to-be vacant Senate seat occupied by a retiring Democrat.

4. 21 people charged with stealing nearly $7 million from USAA bank and its customers- Stripes
A federal grand jury in Louisiana has indicted 21 people in connection with stealing millions of dollars from military service members and other customers banking with USAA.
The scheme used customer information, including names, ages, and account numbers and balances to steal almost $7 million from USAA and its customers, U.S. Attorney Brandon Brown told The Shreveport Times on Thursday.
The group gained access to those banking details through three workers employed by a call center in Shreveport, La., that provided customer service for USAA, according to a 10-page indictment filed in the U.S. Western District Court of Louisiana on Wednesday.
The stolen bank information was used to issue counterfeit checks, typically from the accounts of older customers with high bank balances. The group believed their targets were less likely to regularly monitor their account activity, the indictment states.
Proceeds from the checks were deposited into the bank accounts of people recruited by the group through social media. They would then withdraw the money, sometimes at a local casino, and share it with their co-conspirators, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Shreveport said Thursday. (Read more)

5. Campus anti-war protesters dig in from New York to California as universities and police take action - Breitbart
NEW YORK (AP) — From New York to California, students protesting the Israel-Hamas war slept in tents at college campuses, as some universities moved to shut down encampments and arrested dozens of demonstrators.
With the death toll mounting in the war in Gaza, protesters nationwide are demanding schools cut financial ties to Israel and divest from companies they say enable the conflict. Some Jewish students say the protests have veered into antisemitism and made them afraid to set foot on campus.
At Columbia University in New York City, where early protests sparked pro-Palestinian demonstrations across the country, students and administrators have engaged in negotiations, the university said in a statement Saturday night.
“Dialogue between university officials and student organizers is ongoing. We want to be clear: There is no truth to claims of an impending lockdown or evictions on campus,” the Columbia administration’s statement said.
The tensions have piled pressure on school officials, who are scrambling to resolve the protests as May graduation ceremonies near.
USC drew criticism after refusing to allow the valedictorian, who has publicly supported Palestinians, to make a commencement speech. Administrators then scrapped the keynote speech by filmmaker Jon M. Chu. The school on Thursday announced the cancellation of its main graduation event, a day after more than 90 protesters were arrested by police in riot gear.
Folt, the university president, made her first public statement late Friday, addressing the controversies as “incredibly difficult for all of us.”
“No one wants to have people arrested on their campus. Ever. But, when long-standing safety policies are flagrantly violated, buildings vandalized, Department of Public Safety directives repeatedly ignored, threatening language shouted, people assaulted, and access to critical academic buildings blocked, we must act immediately to protect our community,” Folt said. 6. Missouri legislature sends bill to governor ending funding for abortion providers - Just the News
Legislators believe Planned Parenthood hasn’t received any reimbursements from Missouri for two years, and a bill headed to Republican Gov. Mike Parson’s desk will make that permanent.
House Bill 2634, passed by the House on Wednesday, would make it illegal for public funds, including Medicaid reimbursements, to be paid to abortion facilities or affiliates. In the past, courts have overturned the funding requirement when attached to state budgets.
“What's different about this time is that it is a statutory change,” Sen. Mary Elizabeth Coleman, R-Arnold, and a candidate for her party’s nomination for secretary of state, told reporters on Thursday. “This same model has been upheld in another state that has already attempted to do that and in the same Federal Circuit we're in.”
Democrats predict a lawsuit and a ruling parallel to previous decisions.
“I definitely anticipate this to be brought up in court,” House Minority Leader Crystal Quade, D-Springfield, and a candidate for her party’s nomination for governor, told reporters on Thursday. “I would anticipate a similar outcome if not the same. The Republicans have been trying to do this through the budget process every year and, of course, (courts) have struck that down. This is kind of a new tactic, so obviously it'll be handled a little bit differently. But I expect the outcome to be the same.” (Read more)

7. Residents begin going through the rubble after tornadoes hammer parts of Nebraska and Iowa- AP News
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Residents began sifting through the rubble Saturday after a tornado plowed through suburban Omaha, Nebraska, demolishing homes and businesses as it moved for miles through farmland and into subdivisions, then slamming an Iowa town.
Dozens of reported tornadoes wreaked havoc Friday in the Midwest, causing a building to collapse with dozens of people inside and destroying and damaging at least 150 homes in Omaha alone.
But no fatalities were reported, and fewer than two dozen people were treated at Omaha-area hospitals, said Dr. Lindsay Huse, health director of the city’s Douglas County Health Department.

8. Kamala’s Secret Service bodyguard who brawled with fellow agents previously filed a gender discrimination lawsuit - Washington Examiner
New details have emerged about the female Secret Service agent who was yanked from Vice President Kamala Harris’s security detail after a brawl with fellow agents.
The armed agent, who was identified as Michelle Herczeg, got into a physical scuffle at Joint Base Andrews on Monday morning before the veep was set to arrive for a trip to Wisconsin where she later whipped up the party’s base over abortion.
During the incident, the agent began to act erratically, grabbing another agent’s cellphone and deleting applications from it. She also reportedly exhibited unusual behavior including pelting another agent with menstrual pads and telling agents they would “burn in hell and needed to listen to God.”
Herczeg, who has been removed from her duties, sued the city of Dallas, TX for gender discrimination in 2016, according to the Daily Mail, citing the Dallas Morning News which reported on the $1 million lawsuit at the time. (Read more)

The GOAT Of GOATs
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 29, 2024
There is much debate among sports enthusiasts of who is the GOAT, the Greatest Of All Time. In football, some say it’s Tom Brady with seven Super Bowl wins as quarterback. In basketball, we hear names like Bill Russell who led the Celtics to 11 NBA championships to Michael Jordan’s six championships at Chicago. Baseball’s Willie Mays and Babe Ruth are among the GOATS. One of my personal favorites is track star Jesse Owens, who left Adolph Hitler’s race theories in the dust by winning gold at the 1936 Olympics. All these athletes were extremely gifted by God, and worked countless hours at their craft to be deserving of inclusion in the GOAT discussion. Being the GOAT is the result of great sacrifice.
On the sacred day of Yom Kippur, Aaron was instructed by the LORD to enter the Holy of Holies and offer very specific sacrifices. Among the sacrifices were two goats selected by lot. One goat was designated for the LORD as the sin offering for the people, and his blood was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. The fat of the offering was burned on the Copper Altar in the courtyard of the Tabernacle. The flesh and hide were burned outside the camp. The other goat, designated for Azazel (a name of an accusing angel), was called the scape goat. It was not slaughtered, but sent away carrying all of the sin and iniquity of the people to a “place uninhabited.” The phrase scape goat was translated by William Tindale from the Hebrew word seir mishtale’ach—“scape goat.”

As we watch chaos on US campuses, fools calling for death to Israel, massive tornadoes, a broken White House occupant, invasions across our border, crime in the streets, unstoppable inflation, abortion of infants in the womb constituting the 4th largest cause of death in this nation, all are signs of God's rightful, impending judgment. You and I know the answer: personal repentance by you and me and as many as possible so that the LORD "will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Please join us this coming April 30, 2024. In your prayer closet, in a prayer group, possibly even in a pastor's repentance service, many will honor that Day and humbly take time to repent. The amount of time with Him is up to you and the Holy Spirit! Repentance is His gift; it's your form of worship and love for Him; it's your "reasonable service" Romans 12:1.
Additionally, we'll have a zoom meeting 12 Noon Eastern USA time to pray together and repent for 5 key national sins:1) failure to stand with Israel and our Covenant with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, given our destiny as a nation to be "the light of the world, a city set upon a hill (Matthew 5:14); 2) the killing of innocents; 3) idolatry, including mammon; 4) the legalization of sexual perversions, and 5) among us His people, called by His Name, our failure to follow fully the Lord's directive to preach repentance to make disciples to advance His kingdom. STEPS FORWARD: The team that went to DC met for a "debrief." In the course of the conversation, there was an overwhelming sense of agreement that we are NOT done. How can we take what happened in DC to the next step? Taking a look at scriptures, there is a pattern set during the period of Hezekiah's reform. Key steps in this historic transformation are conveyed in 2 Chron 29-32.
• He started by calling the Levites to clean the temple, "Now they began to sanctify on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they came to the vestibule of the LORD. So they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished," (2 Chron 29:17).
• He restored temple worship, 2 Chron 29:20-26. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order. Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly. v. 35-36
• He mobilized by declaring a decree by sending letters throughout Judah to re-establish Passover. And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the LORD God of Israel, (1 Chron 30:1).
• Judah and Jerusalem were transformed. One of the greatest transformations in Israel's history ensued. Judah's economy and military were strengthened. Water supply routes Hezekiah built are still walkable today bringing water from the Gihon Springs into Jerusalem.

Worship Leader Sean Feucht Heads to Columbia University Thursday for ‘United for Israel March’
|
|
As anti-Israel protestors occupy New York City’s Columbia University, pro-Israel Christians are planning to hold a worship event there on Thursday evening in a show of solidarity with Jewish students.
Worship leader Sean Feucht announced the upcoming “March for Israel,” which also will feature Christian author and radio show host Eric Metaxas and Russell Johnson, pastor of Pursuit NW, a church with multiple campuses in Washington state.
The event which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time, comes days after radical pro-Hamas protestors took over the campus. The violence and threats have been so significant that the college has switched to a hybrid learning model for the rest of the year, allowing students to attend classes virtually. Also, a campus rabbi warned Jewish students not to return to the school because of “extreme antisemitism.”
Metaxas commented on X, “This happened in Germany in the 30s… are the parallels becoming clear enough for you?”
Feucht wrote in a social media post, “There are moments in history where the world is waiting for voices of courage, conviction and clarity to arise – THIS IS ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS!” He added, “Word is spreading like lightning across America. Folks are making plans and taking planes, buses and trains to join us.”
On Monday, Feucht posted a video of Shai Davidai, an assistant professor who is Jewish, trying to access a part of campus that has been taken over by the protestors. Columbia COO Cas Holloway, who was filmed standing outside a university gate along with police, denied Davidai access.
Feucht shared a screenshot of an email saying that the sender, Robin, and her husband had paid more than $500,000 in tuition for their two children to attend Columbia University and are making plans to fly from Tampa, Florida, to attend the rally Thursday. “We are disgusted by what is happening and feel the need to be there,” she wrote.
Feucht on Monday shared a video highlighting the “demonic madness” of the protests.
On Sunday, Feucht first mentioned the idea of a worship rally at the university. He shared a video showing protestors at Columbia chanting phrases including: “Oh Al-Qassam brigades, you make us proud, kill another soldier now!” “Israel will fall!” “Palestine is Arab!” “Zionism will fall!”
“Who would be down for a worship rally on Columbia University to replace this nonsense they are spewing now?!?” Feucht said. (Stream.org) Read more here.
- Father God, we rejoice to see the courage and the leadership of Sean Feucht who has
marched into the middle of this demonic war to praise Your Holy Name. We know that the
worship of God's people scatters the enemy and renders him powerless, so we say PRAISE YOU JESUS for this opportunity to follow You into the heart of this battle.
We ask that Your hand of protection would rest upon all of these worshippers until we see
the victory that will come. In Your Name, amen and amen.
- "Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: Let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God." (Psalm 68:1-2)
- "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Israel is concerned ICC could issue arrest warrants against Netanyahu, senior officials
|
|
|
Israeli officials are growing concerned that the International Criminal Court could soon issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top officials over charges related to the war in Gaza, reports say.
The court may accuse the senior government figures of pursuing an excessively harsh military response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks on Israel and preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the New York Times is reporting, citing Israeli and foreign officials.
The newspaper reports that any warrants issued by the ICC would "probably be seen in much of the world as a humbling moral rebuke" and cited an official as saying that the possibility of them has factored into Israeli decision-making in recent weeks.
Such warrants could pose travel obstacles for the Israeli officials and they may be issued against Hamas leaders as well, according to the New York Times.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan said in October that the court has jurisdiction over potential war crimes that are committed in the Gaza Strip, according to Reuters.
The news agency reports Israel is not a member of the court and does not recognize its jurisdiction, but the Palestinian territories were admitted with member status in 2015.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said "Israel will never accept any attempt by the ICC to undermine its inherent right of self-defense." (Office of Israel's Prime Minister)

- Father God, we have seen these reports surfacing throughout the past weekend. We do not trust the New York Times as a legitimate source of data; but one that is instead skewed to a leftist agenda.
We reject this report, and we thank You that Your Hand is resting upon P.M. Netanyahu, as he guides his nation through these difficult days. In Your Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.
- "There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community."
(Proverbs 6:16-19)

And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
|
|
|
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."
(Isaiah 42:13)

World's longest lightning flash on record captured by NOAA satellites
|
|
Shocking! Within this cluster of storms, a single lightning bolt captured by NOAA satellites was recently certified by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) as the world’s longest flash on record. The horizontal distance of the bolt stretched 477 miles, from the central coast of Texas to southern Mississippi, when it flashed on April 29, 2020. This beats the previous record of 440.6 miles for a lightning strike across southern Brazil in 2018.
A bolt of lightning that stretched nearly 500 miles across three U.S. states is the new world record holder for longest flash.
The single flash extended 477.2 miles (768 kilometers) across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi in April 2020, the World Meteorological Organizationsaid Monday. That beat the old record set in 2018 in Brazil of 440.6 miles (709 kilometers).
Also in 2020, a single lightning flash over Uruguay and northern Argentina lasted 17.1 seconds, nipping the old time record of 16.7 seconds. Read More

Satellite TV making airwaves in Iran with the gospel
|
|
In Iran, the government can not only limit or shut down the internet, but also track peoples’ use of it. Because of this, more and more Iranians are turning to satellite TV, which cannot be stopped or monitored. It’s a trend that ministries such as Transform Iran are making the most of for Christ. “They’re not necessarily looking for Jesus at this point,” says Lana Silk with Transform Iran. “They take to the satellite airwaves to find material from the West that they can listen to that is different to the rhetoric that they hear at home — and that is where we want them to find Jesus.” There’s an interesting contrast here. In 2016, Iranian officials confiscated 100,000 satellite dishes, declaring that the corrupting influence of satellite TV led to marriage troubles, addiction and poor education for children.
Today, however, Transform Iran hears testimonies from people who were caught in those same struggles. But in these accounts, people on the brink of suicide, or trapped in addiction, depression or broken relationships discovered the help they needed. “They find the message of Jesus through the TV, and it gives them hope, it gives them a better way, and then through that they can contact us — and we give them safe ways to do that. Then we can minister to them in-person and disciple them,” Silk says. “We have really increased our investment into program creation, to make sure that we’re delivering fresh, current quality programs that the people of Iran will want to watch, will engage with and be blessed by.” In addition to recently finishing a series on history, politics and heritage of Iran, they have also focused on children’s programming. Silk says that in Iran there are eight to 10 million children between the ages of five and 12. They are the future of Iran. (Learn More Here.)

- Abba, we praise You for this amazing opportunity to share the gospel in Iran! We ask for Your provision to sustain this satellite TV and safety for those working on the programs. Place Your hedge of protection upon these individuals and their families. We pray for opened hearts, unveiled minds and surrendered lives for Christ. We declare that Jesus will be glorified and many Iranians will experience salvation! In Yeshua's powerful Name-Amen.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear shall live". (John 5:25)

"All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37)

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: Peace through the blood of His cross. Colossians 1:20
Lyrics:
Wand’rer, come, there’s room for thee,
At the cross of Jesus;
Come and taste salvation free
At the cross of Jesus.
Refrain
Blessèd cross! precious cross!
There my hopes are twining;
There I see a Father’s love
Through a Savior shining.
Come and bring thy burden now
To the cross of Jesus;
Lay thy burning, throbbing brow
At the cross of Jesus.
Refrain
O what comfort thou wilt find
At the cross of Jesus;
Love thy broken heart will bind
At the cross of Jesus.
Refrain
See the crimson waters flow
At the cross of Jesus;
Come and tell thy every woe
At the cross of Jesus.
Refrain
