Trump says it was 'made clear' that a president 'has to have immunity,' during 'monumental' SCOTUS arguments

Supreme Court heard arguments on presidential immunity on Thursday

Former President Trump reacted to the "monumental" hearing on presidential immunity at the Supreme Court Thursday, saying he thinks it was "made clear" that a president "has to have immunity."

The former president spoke to reporters after sitting in a Manhattan courtroom for hours Thursday—the seventh day of his criminal trial stemming from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all 34 charges of falsifying business records in the first degree.

While Trump sat in court listening to witness testimony, the United States Supreme Court heard arguments on the issue of presidential immunity, and whether he is immune from prosecution in a separate case—Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case related to 2020 election interference.

Trump had requested to attend arguments in Washington D.C., but was rejected by New York Judge Juan Merchan, who has required the former president to be in court for each day of his criminal trial.

"I was forced to be here, and I’m glad I was, because it was a very interesting day in a certain way," Trump told reporters.

"The U.S. Supreme Court had a monumental hearing on immunity and the immunity having to do with presidential immunity," Trump said. "And I think it was made clear, I hope it is very clear that a president has to have immunity."

Trump echoed his past argument that without immunity, the president would be reduced to just a "ceremonial" position.

"That’s not what the founders had in mind," he said. "We want presidents that can get quite amazing—quite amazing."

The former president said the Supreme Court justices "were on their game."

"So let’s see how that turns out," he said. "But again, I say presidential immunity is very powerful. Presidential immunity is imperative, or you practically won’t have a country anymore."

The high court is expected to rule on the case by mid-June. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You for the army of prayer warriors who covered this hearing this week, and for the outcome we are now seeing.  We thank You fhat it is written that, "the effectual, fervent prayer availeth much," -- which we have witnessed again this week. We now await this verdict, placing all in Youir Mighty Hands. Amen and amen!
A PRAYER OF SCRIPTURES:

As we together CONTINUE to believe for this case:

Exodus 33:17 So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also
do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name!

Isaiah 28:5-6 In that day the Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty
To the remnant of His people,
For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment,
And for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate…..

YOU WILL BE STRENGTHENED - BECAUSE YOU ARE ONE WHO HAS TURNED BACK THE ENEMY AT THE GATE!

Nehemiah 6:15 SO THE WALL WAS FINISHED!

Our prayers will be fervent and effective /

America shall be saved!!!

Amen

NYC union leader says members support Trump over Biden 3-to-1: 'I see a wave coming'

union leader in New York warned workers are turning their backs on the Democratic Party and will support former President Trump in November as they battle various issues stemming from the economy and crime.

Steamfitters Local 638 manager Bob Bartels, who is a lifelong Democrat, joined "Fox & Friends" to explain why he sees change on the horizon for the blue-collar vote and why workers are fed up with the Biden administration's policies despite Trump's legal woes.

"Nothing changes my opinion because… I want to see what's done for America. I want what's right for America. I want what's right for the citizens, and my members want that also," Bartels told Brian Kilmeade on Thursday.

"They are very agitated. They are living week to week, some of them are not affording their bills, and I think things need to change."

"Members have basically told me, ‘Listen, we want to vote for this guy,’ so when the time is right and I have a bigger poll to be done, we will make that decision, but I will do whatever my members want me to do."

Bartels' comments came after Trump visited a construction site in New York City where he was met with praise from hundreds of union workers.

"We're very close in New York, I understand, and we're leading in the country by a lot," Trump said. "A poll just came out a little while ago, as you saw yesterday, that we were up in every swing state and up by a lot in every swing state, so, I think we're going to do very well, and we're going to make a play for New York." - Lord God, we thank You that the people are now waking up to the truth in this election. They seem to be no longer buying the lies that are being fed to them, 24/7, about the state of this nation, but instead are now choosing to think for themselves. Holy God, we rejoice at this season of the Passover, when the Israelites crossed the Red Sea to find freedom from Pharoah's tyranny. On this Passover weekend, we pray that Your people would once again thirst for freedom and act accordingly. In Your mighty Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

- "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,"
(Luke 4:18)

JPMorgan CEO Issues Dire Warning About Biden Admininistration’s ‘Huge’ Deficit Spending

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has issued a grim warning for the direction of the U.S. economy, saying he sees the odds of a “soft landing” as far lower than markets are pricing in while sounding the alarm on a possible bout of 1970s’ style stagflation fueled in part by the Biden administration’s massive deficit spending.

Mr. Dimon made the remarks in an April 25 interview with The Wall Street Journal, in which he warned about Americans being lulled into a false sense of confidence because the U.S. consumer appears to be in “pretty good shape” right now, stock markets are up, jobs are plentiful, and unemployment is low at 3.8 percent.

“Don’t get lulled into a false sense of security because today looks okay, tomorrow is going to be okay,” he said. “So just try to separate the two.”

Smells Like Stagflation

Mr. Dimon said he sees the current economic setup as increasingly reminiscent of the 1970s, when a mix of high inflation and sluggish growth led to stagflation, an economically toxic condition characterized by high unemployment and elevated price pressures.

“It looks a little bit more like the 1970s to me, and I point out to a lot of people, things looked pretty rosy in 1972. They were not rosy in 1973,” he said.

He said the issues that amplify the inflation risks in the stagflationary equation include “huge” fiscal deficits and monetary stimulus in the form of quantitative easing (QE), massive spending on the green economy, and a jump in military expenditures around the world at a time of geopolitical strife.

“Deficits which basically aren’t going to go away as far as the eye can see,” Mr. Dimon said. “All that puts me on the side of caution that things may not go as well as people expect. The odds of a soft landing—the market kind of prices in 70 percent—I think it’s half of that.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, there are a multitude of reasons why your kids in the US could be afraid and our economy is high on that list.  We see no way to stop the crazy government spending and elected officials don't seem to be able to keep promises made to put an end to these out of control bills and budgets!  Father God, You are our hope, we ask You to intervene and save our nation from financial disaster, in Jesus' name.!  We ask Holy Spirit to move on the minds and hearts of those in the Biden regime whose intentions are to take our economy down, show them your vision of their lives, put the fear of Father God into their spirits, give them reason to change their direction, in Jesus' name.  We ask this in the name, El Gibhor, Mighty God who will accomplish the destruction of His enemies and rule with a rod of iron.

- "For the Lord watches over the way
of the righteous, but the way
of the wicked leads to destruction."
