Trump says he's 'bringing religion back' as thousands attend White House Easter Egg Roll

WASHINGTON ‒ President Donald Trump said his administration is "bringing religion back in America" as he addressed the annual White House Easter Egg Roll hours after the death of Pope Francis. Trump, speaking Monday from the White House's South Portico next to first lady Melania Trump and a costumed Easter bunny, paid respects to the pope in brief remarks. “He was a good man, worked hard, he loved the world," Trump said at the start of the 147th iteration of the White House egg roll tradition. Trump said he ordered U.S. and state flags to be lowered to half-staff to honor the pope, who died earlier in the day at 88 years old.
Following a presidential tradition dating back to 1878, Trump opened the White House South Lawn on April 21 to thousands of children who rolled more than 30,000 colorfully painted eggs. Trump said about 42,000 guests are expected throughout the day. "Easter is special, and it's one of our favorite days. It's one of our favorite periods of time. We're honoring Jesus Christ," Trump said. "We're bringing religion back in America. We're bringing a lot of things back, but religion is coming back to America. The Supreme Court appears to side with parents in religious liberty dispute over storybooks

A county introduced books with LGBTQ+ themes into an elementary's school curriculum in 2022.

The Supreme Court's conservative majority offered strong support for parents seeking the religious liberty right to be informed about and opt their children out of reading material in elementary schools that they say conflicts with their faith.
The Montgomery County, Maryland school board withdrew its original opt-out policy for books related to gender and sexuality, prompting a federal lawsuit.
In a marathon two-and-a-half oral argument, the justices debated whether parents have been unfairly burdened in exercising their constitutional rights.
It is one of three high-profile religious-themed cases the high court will decide this term—including disputes over tax exemptions for religious groups, and taxpayer funding for private religious charter schools—which will be argued next week.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor and her liberal colleagues appeared to back the county's position on the storybooks. She noted a lower appeals court had refused a preliminary injunction to temporarily reinstate the opt-out policy.
But Justice Samuel Alito echoed the views of several of his conservative colleagues, about returning to the previous policy that he said most schools around the country permit.

DHS chief Kristi Noem's purse stolen with thousands of dollars in DC restaurant: sources

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s purse was stolen with thousands in cash on Sunday night at a restaurant in Washington D.C., multiple sources from the agency confirmed to Fox News Digital.
The purse was taken by a White man wearing a mask, and the bag contained $3,000 in cash as well as personal documents including her passport, keys, driver's license and a DHS badge, an agency spokesperson confirmed.
"Her entire family was in town including her children and grandchildren – she was using the withdrawal to treat her family to dinner, activities, and Easter gifts," the spokesperson said.
Crime in the capital city continues to be a major issue, including theft. When it comes to violent crime, it hit a 30-year low last year, according to the U.S. Attorney's office at the time.
President Donald Trump has put the pressure on Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser to not only increase law enforcement presence but to clean up homeless encampments in the city itself. Mexican sewage gushing into Navy SEAL training waters is US' 'next Camp Lejeune,' vets warn

"Disgusting," said Navy SEAL veteran Rob Sweetman in describing the smell and mist of Mexican sewage spewing into U.S. waters as he stood on a hill overlooking the Tijuana River estuary in California.
Sweetman, a Navy veteran who served on the SEALs for eight years, spoke to Fox News Digital to sound the alarm on a water crisis rocking the San Diego area, including where SEALs train, taking a camera with him to show viewers firsthand how the contaminated water flows into the U.S.
Just one mile away from where Sweetman spoke, SEALs and candidates train in the same water, which has sickened more than 1,000 candidates in a five-year period, per a Department of Defense watchdog report released in February.
San Diego and the surrounding area are in a clean-water crisis that has raged for decades, but it is finding revived concern from the Trump administration as SEALs and local veterans warn of a "national security crisis" that they say is on par with the Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, water crisis. Klaus Schwab Steps Down as World Economic Forum Chair

World Economic Forum (WEF) founder Klaus Schwab has resigned from his position as chairman of the organization, according to an announcement issued on April 21.
“Following my recent announcement, and as I enter my 88th year, I have decided to step down from the position of Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees, with immediate effect,” Schwab said in a statement.
Schwab’s resignation was accepted at an extraordinary meeting held on April 20.
Schwab, 87, is being succeeded on an interim basis by Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, who was unanimously appointed by the board as it formed a Search Committee for the selection of a future chair.
Schwab promoted the WEF’s premium annual event at the Swiss mountain village of Davos every year, bringing together the world’s political and business elite.

1. Security Cabinet to decide on continuation of activities in Gaza - Israel National News
The Security Cabinet will convene on Tuesday evening for a meeting in which a decision is expected to be made on possibly ramping up the fighting in the Gaza Strip amid the stalemate in the hostage negotiations.
The political establishment expected that the military action, coupled with the limit on humanitarian aid, would pressure Hamas into accepting US Envoy Steve Witkoff's framework for another hostage deal. However, the terror organization has so far rejected it.
The cabinet members are divided regarding the pressure on Hamas. The Prime Minister and Defense Minister are leading the opinion that Israel should gradually increase the military pressure in Gaza to allow for an additional deal. On the other hand, Minister Bezalel Smotrich believes the pressure should be increased significantly now to defeat Hamas completely, as is stated in the war's objectives. (Read more)

2. Egypt to Hamas: Disarm completely, down to the last bullet - Israel Hayom
Israel and the US, with mediation by Qatar and Egypt and with the involvement of the Palestinian Authority, continue to pursue a hostage deal. Parallel to these negotiations, the Israel Defense Forces are pushing ahead in Rafah, taking over one area at a time, consolidating control in northern Gaza, and gearing up for the next phase of combat.
Egypt, which has joined the demand for Hamas to fully disarm, as first reported by Israel Hayom, is now leading the mediation efforts. According to the Qatari channel Al-Araby, Egypt's proposal places demilitarization at the top of the agenda. In return, Hamas would receive a long-term ceasefire of at least five years.
Sources involved in the negotiations say Egypt is providing Israel with regular updates on the proposals, terms, and outcomes of talks with Hamas leaders. A Hamas delegation expected in Cairo is anticipated to address primarily the demand to relinquish all weaponry - a condition that senior Hamas officials in recent weeks have called a "red line."

3. Israeli Strike South of Beirut Kills Commander in Sunni Islamist Group - Algemeiner
An Israeli drone strike south of the Lebanese capital killed a top commander from Jama’a Islamiya on Tuesday, the Sunni Islamist group said, in an attack later confirmed by Israel.
The Israeli military announced that it had killed Hussein Atawi, a “key figure in the Jama’a Islamiya with ties to Hamas,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday.
According to the IDF, Atawi was involved in planning and advancing “terrorist” activities from Lebanon into Israeli territory, targeting IDF soldiers on the northern border.
Atawi, a leading commander in the armed branch of the militant Jama’a Islamiya known as the Fajr Forces, was killed as he drove from his home to his office in Beirut, a Jama’a Islamiya statement said.
The Fajr Forces fired rockets across Lebanon’s southern border at Israel throughout the year-long war that ended last year in a ceasefire deal. Israeli airstrikes killed several of the group‘s members during the conflict. (Read more)

The military has successfully held back the Iranian axis from smuggling weapons into the West Bank through the Israeli-Jordanian borderthat would have flooded the area with high-stakes terrorist threats, IDF Lt.-Col. Aviv Amir, the commander of the Jordan Valley defenses, said on Tuesday at his outgoing ceremony, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
One of Israel’s greatest ongoing security challenges, given its progress on many other fronts, is its weak and relatively porous border with Jordan, something which Tehran has tried to exploit in recent years to advance far more deadly terrorist attacks by Palestinians in the West Bank against Israelis.
This threat has become so significant that Defense Minister Israel Katz has made one of his primary focuses investing in a new, much more secure border fence to the tune of NIS 5.2 billion on a front that was once completely ignored. (Read more)

5. Report: Israel considering mass arrests of terrorists freed in hostage deals - World Israel News
The Israeli government is mulling new measures to pressure Hamas into releasing the remaining hostages held in the Gaza Strip. These include the use of mass arrests to place terrorists freed during the two previous hostage deals back in custody, according to a report published by Israel’s Channel 12 on Monday morning.
Qatari and Egyptian mediators brokering talks between Israel and Hamas on the basis of the Trump administration’s proposal, drafted by US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, have made little progress in bringing the two sides toward an agreement since the previous ceasefire expired on March 2.
Since then, Israel has offered to resume the truce in the Gaza Strip on the basis of the agreement made on January 19, with Hamas freeing Israeli hostages in exchange for the release of jailed terrorists and a continuation of the ceasefire. (Read more)

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Monday sent a resubmitted criminal referral to Attorney General Pam Bondi, demanding the Department of Justice pursue charges against disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for lying under oath during pandemic-era investigations.
According to the letter:
On October 30, 2024, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic (Select Subcommittee) referred former Governor of the State of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo, for making criminally false statements in violation 18 U.S.C. §1001.1. To our knowledge, the Biden Administration ignored this referral despite clear facts and evidence. Accordingly, we request you review this referral and take appropriate action. For your reference, the referral is attached to this letter.
The criminal referral centers on Cuomo’s claim that he played no role in drafting a now-infamous New York State Department of Health report that cleared his administration of wrongdoing over its deadly nursing home policy. TGP reported multiple times in 2020 how Governor Cuomo in New York implemented programs that ordered sick COVID patients back into elderly homes in the state. 4. EPA administrator confronts New York Times reporter for claiming there is 'no evidence' of waste, fraud, abuse - WND
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin confronted a New York Times reporter during a press conference Monday for claiming that he presented "no evidence" to back up his claims of waste, fraud, and abuse from the previous Biden administration.
Zeldin hosted the news conference Monday morning at the EPA headquarters, announcing his forthcoming Earth Day trip to San Diego to investigate the crisis of Mexico pouring five million gallons of wastewater daily into the Tijuana River.
At the end of the conference, Zeldin mentioned the media bias against his claims of waste, fraud, and abuse in the Biden EPA.
He mentioned a video unearthed by Project Veritas in December 2024 in which a Biden administration political appointee at EPA said that bureaucrats were rushing to get billions of dollars out the door like "throwing gold bars off the Titanic." Zeldin pledged to Congress that he would investigate the matter.
"As we overturn different rocks and we find more evidence of waste and abuse, there are some members of the media who have dug in further into saying that there's no evidence," he said. "Every time a new piece of evidence comes out, there's some in the media saying even with more conviction that there's no evidence." (Read more)

5. Chad Wolf to Newsmax: Support for Abrego Garcia Exposes Left - Newsmax
A trip to El Salvador by Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the immigrant deported on allegations of being a member of the M-13 gang, "shows you what the left of the Democratic Party now stands for," Chad Wolf, a former acting Department of Homeland Security secretary, told Newsmax on Tuesday.
Wolf said on "Wake Up America" that "it's not rocket science" for Van Hollen to have asked Abrego Garcia if he was a gang member, which the lawmaker did not do.
"They want to return convicted individuals, MS-13 gang members, individuals that are part of a foreign terrorist organization to the United States," said Wolf, now the executive vice president for the Center for Homeland Security and Immigration at the America First Policy Institute.
Van Hollen and other Democrats are calling for the United States to bring Abrego Garcia "home," but "the United States is not his home," Wolf added.
"He is not a legal permanent resident," he said. "He is not a U.S. citizen and he has no legal right to be here in the United States. He has a final order of removal. And I don't think that the senator [or] the Democratic Party really understands what's going on here." (Read more)

6. Minnesota State Employee Who Vandalized 6 Teslas Causing $20,000 in Damages *Will Not* Face Charges - Breitbart
Hennepin County, Minnesota, has decided not to file criminal charges against a 33-year-old state government employee who admitted to causing over $20,000 in damages to six Tesla vehicles in a politically motivated vandalism spree last month.
The Minnesota Star Tribune reports that Dylan Bryan Adams, a 33-year-old Minneapolis resident and Minnesota Department of Human Services employee, will not face criminal charges for vandalizing six Tesla vehicles in downtown Minneapolis over the course of a few days in March. The damages to the vehicles ranged from $1,600 to $10,370, totaling more than $21,000.
Instead of pressing charges, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has opted to file for Adams to be entered into an adult diversion program designed for first-time, low-level offenders. The office stated that their main priorities are to secure restitution for the victims and hold Adams accountable, believing that the diversion program will best facilitate these goals. The Media Admits It Lied About Biden

While the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is uncovering billions of hard-earned tax dollars in fraud, waste and corruption, the mainstream news media has been exposed as accomplices in the coverup of Democratic-controlled government fraud. In fact, this may be the most significant news that was neglected by the media in the history of America—that Joe Biden was mentally incapable of conducting the duties of the presidency and the media knew about it and lied to the American people. Essentially, the media aided and abetted in an ongoing coup de tat of the presidency of the United States, a conspiracy to intentionally mislead the citizens of this country.
The Wall Street Journal interviewed some 52 White House personnel who served with Biden. They were keenly aware of Biden’s decline. They assigned two people to shadow Biden and make sure he knew which way to go to exit a stage or a room, and when it was time to leave. They also arranged Biden’s sleep schedule so he was able to attend meetings and appear mentally capable. There was a hierarchy developed where staff would make the decisions coming from the White House out to the cabinet members. Essentially, they ran the country without Biden and bullied the news media to look the other way and lie to the American people. On Tuesday, April 22, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in Mahmoud v. Taylor, a very important case with a huge impact on parental rights, religious freedom, and school curriculum.
The Justices will determine if a parent’s First Amendment rights are violated by the Montgomery County, MD School District’s refusal to allow parents to opt their children out of the K-5 public school curriculum that is in opposition to their religious beliefs.

In March of 2023, the School Board stopped notifying parents and rescinded the school’s opt-out policy for classroom lessons on gender and sexuality.
One Board member justified the decision by saying allowing opt-outs because these books “offend your religious rights or your family values or your core beliefs is just telling your kid, ‘Here’s another reason to hate another person.’
Three sets of parents filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of Maryland on May 24, 2023. They argued that their children’s participation in reading these LGBTQ+ books violated their right to raise their children according to their faith’s teachings on gender identity and sexuality. They also argued that the books were not age-appropriate for their young children. The Court ruled against the parents.
The parents appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In May of 2024, the Appeals Court agreed with the lower court’s decision denying the parents’ request for reinstatement of the opt-out policy. The Court affirmed parents have no right to be notified or opt their kids out of classrooms where these storybooks were used to indoctrinate gender and human sexuality.
On September 12, 2024, the parents filed a petition to the Supreme Court, which was granted on January 17, 2025. Oral arguments are scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

ICE arrests illegal immigrant with alleged terror ties in California, one of the most wanted men in India

An Indian citizen who is one of the most wanted fugitives in his home country for his alleged connections with terrorist activities, including planning more than a dozen grenade attacks on police officials, has been arrested by immigration officials for being in the United States illegally.
Harpreet Singh was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents last week, Fox News has learned.
Singh entered the U.S. illegally on Jan. 27, 2022, in Arizona. He was arrested by a U.S. Border Patrol agent from Tucson’s sector, placed in removal proceedings, and then released into the interior of the country. He was arrested by ICE on April 16 in Sacramento, Calif., and will remain in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.

Story of Interdimensional Doorway Near Area 51 Resurfaces

An old story about UFOs, interdimensional doorways, and secret military bases in the American desert has resurfaced in the news in light of a classification deadline and the promise of the Trump campaign to disclose national secrets.
In 1996, Jerry Freeman set out on an archeological mission in Nevada's desert to track down the checkpoints of a pioneer troop heading out West for the California Gold Rush.
The troop, a group of gold prospectors, died in the Nevada desert circa 1849 somewhere around what would later come to be the settlement of secret U.S. military bases, such as Area 51.
Not to be deterred in his mission after the Air Force denied him access to the area, Freeman set out on his week-long mission to retrace the steps of the lost pioneers, entering through Death Valley and continuing northeast into Nevada, hiding in caves during the day and continuing his journey at dusk until he stumbled upon an ethereal structure one night near an alleged secret base, said to be the site of alien research called S4.
According to UFO researcher George Knapp, whom Freeman spoke with as he came up on Papoose Lake, a dried lakebed that is said to be the site of S4, "all of a sudden out of nowhere, a door opens up." Read More
