Trump’s Powerful Easter Message Sparks Renewed Focus on Christian Faith
On Easter Sunday, President Donald Trump delivered a heartfelt message to Americans, reflecting not just seasonal cheer but a commitment to embrace his Christian faith. His post on Truth Social read, “Melania and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! Whether you are heading out to Church or, watching Service from home, may this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. HE IS RISEN!!” The phrase “He is risen” holds deep theological significance. It’s not simply a celebration of an historical event—it’s an acknowledgment that Jesus Christ lives today, a belief central to Christianity. The present-tense phrasing reflects a deeper spiritual understanding, one that resonates with committed Christians. While critics in the mainstream media have often tried to paint Trump’s faith as performative, his actions and words over the past few years suggest otherwise.

Though he grew up attending Marble Collegiate Church in New York—pastored by the renowned Dr. Norman Vincent Peale—Trump’s early faith journey was influenced by Peale’s uplifting and practical teachings found in The Power of Positive Thinking. That philosophy helped shape Trump’s legendary resilience and optimism in the high-stakes world of New York real estate. But in recent years, particularly following the failed assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump’s relationship with God seems to have taken on a more personal, heartfelt dimension. At the National Prayer Breakfast in February, he spoke candidly: “It changed something in me, I feel,” he said. “I feel even stronger. I believed in God, but I feel much more strongly about it.” (Charisma News)  Read More Here

- Abba Father, we are grateful beyond words for President Trump honoring God and his commitment to embrace the Christian faith within our nation. We praise You for answered prayer in his personal spiritual encounters and for pursuing both he and Melania as they walk by faith and not by sight. We ask for continual strengthening of their faith, marriage and bold leadership, as they fight to bring righteousness back into our government and to "Make America Great Again." We declare in Jesus' Name that Jehovah Nissi, 'The Lord who is our Banner' REIGNS over the United States of America!  In Yeshua's mighty Name- Amen and Amen.

- "Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." (John 12:31-32)

Alito blasts 'unprecedented' SCOTUS move to halt Trump's Venezuelan deportations:
'Legally questionable'

Former federal prosecutor Jonathan Fahey joins ‘Fox News Live’ to discuss the Supreme Court’s decision to temporarily block Venezuelan migrant deportations and weighs in on the deportation of a suspected MS-13 gang member to El Salvador.

Justice Samuel Alito wrote a fiery dissent against a recent Supreme Court move to halt President Donald Trump's deportations of Venezuelan criminals under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

The decision, which was issued early Saturday morning, effectively blocks the deportations of Venezuelan migrants under the 18th century law. In a decision that was also signed off on by conservative Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, the court advised the White House not to remove Venezuelans held in Texas' Bluebonnet Detention Center "until further order of this court."

Alito disapproved of the timing of the decision, which he described as being "literally in the middle of the night."

"[T]he Court issued unprecedented and legally questionable relief without giving the lower courts a chance to rule, without hearing from the opposing party, within eight hours of receiving the application, with dubious factual support for its order, and without providing any explanation for its order," Alito wrote. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, we lift up the highest court in our land to you, that you would move on every single heart to do your will, and to do what’s best for the American public. We come against all bribes, lies, and deceit to try to buy a judge's decision in Jesus' name. We continue to stand in faith that the morals and values of this country was founded upon will continue to prevail, and that truth would win out in Jesus' name, amen!

- “I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” (Eccl. 3:17)

Call for Death of America, Western Nations Goes Out at Michigan Fundraiser: 'They Must Fall and Inshallah, They Will Fall'
The left has made no secret about the fact that they detest the country and its allies. They detest the precepts upon which it was built. And they can’t wait to see it fall, just like they think it deserves.

Take a Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Fundraiser and Poetry Night for Palestine — please, as Henny Youngman might have said. This event, hosted by the Middle East Children’s Alliance, was already semi-objectionable enough before its contents got scrutinized by the Middle East Media Research Institute roughly a month after it occurred.

And, as you’ll see, the sentiments coming from at least one attendee about Gaza is beyond alarming, especially coming from America’s heartland.

“The message for the people of Gaza is going to be more of the message that should be sent to the people here, in that, they have achieved the victory. We haven’t done anywhere near enough,” the unnamed attendee said during the clip.

“And the people here, I promise you, we do feel ashamed. We do feel like we’re not doing enough. We do feel like change needs to come, because change must come. And in the form that it must come is that this empire, the American empire that’s been hurting our people since the beginning, the imperial Western powers that have been hurting our people since the beginning, they must fall.

“And inshallah, inshallah, they will fall,” he continued.

...  there’s no telling how many people there are inside our borders with a burning hatred for the United States — but the number isn’t small.
And, if they’re not U.S. citizens but openly talking about how America should fall sooner rather than later, long, hard discussions need to be held about whether or not they should still be in the country.

We’ve dealt with MS-13 and Tren de Aragua first, along with extremist student leaders such as Mahmoud Khalil. Given that these people are actively rooting for the fall of America, it’s not a leap to say that if they aren’t full citizens, they should be next on the return-to-sender list. (WJN) Read more here
- We cancel these idle words spoken in the name of Jesus, and we pour the blood of Jesus over them. We pray a spirit of peace and unity over our nation in Jesus' name. We pray that this group would be investigated, as people who do not like our country should not be raising money for the purpose of destroying it. We pray that justice would be done in Jesus' name, and we call forth a spirit of repentance upon those who are cursing the United States of America. AMEN.

- “I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.” (Romans 16:17-18)

Jewish World War I soldiers buried under Arlington crosses have headstones reconsecrated
with Stars of David

'They loved this country'

Two Jewish World War I veterans paid the ultimate price for their country and were buried in the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery – beneath Latin crosses. Just before Passover, this over-century-long mistake has finally been set right.

Pvt. David Moser, born Sept. 7, 1898, in Suffern, New York, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1917 to fight for his country and a year later was deployed to France, where he fought in numerous battles.

Adolph Hanf was a Jewish immigrant to the United States from Poland, arriving in Texas at the age of 27. He joined the Army and was shipped out to Europe in 1918, just a year after he became a fully naturalized U.S. citizen. Hanf was killed during the Battle of Fismes.

Operation Benjamin, an organization dedicated to "preserving the memories of American-Jewish servicemen and women" and over 100 attendees – including New York Rep. Ritchie Torres, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins and other DC officials – flocked to Arlington in 40-degree weather April 7 to finally correct the historic mistake that befell these two American patriots.

Wasserman-Schultz, D-Fla., announced she is introducing the Fallen Servicemembers Religious Heritage Restoration Act, which will dedicate federal funds to amending the gravestones of the estimated 600 U.S. service members who were mistakenly buried beneath Latin crosses.

"I’m a proud Jew every day, but particularly today. We are a people who have faced attempted annihilation and erasure for a millennia, including, unfortunately, in our hollowed institutions." Wasserman-Schultz said at the unveiling.

"There is something especially poignant about standing here just days before Passover, the Jewish holiday of liberation and redemption and in a profound sense we are engaged in a form of redemption… As we approach Passover we are redeeming ourselves by liberating the memory of these Jewish American heroes from the enslavement of an engraved error," Rep. Torres, D-N.Y., said.

When the two new gravestones were unveiled with the Star of David, the assembled recited the Mourner's Kaddish, the Jewish prayer for the dead, at their gravesides for the first time ever. And now, when a generation of Jewish people feel the all-too-familiar pressure to hide their identities out of fear, these two Jewish patriots now have monuments that proudly show their faith and the sacrifice they made for their country. > > > Please note: Rep. Ritchie Torres and VA Secretary Doug Collins were present for the ceremony. We encourage you to read the entire article, which gives a moving account of
this ceremony.
- Sovereign Lord, we thank you for this gesture that took place to honor our Jewish brothers who served and fought for us. We continue to pray for protection and peace for Israel, and for all the peoples of every nation to put their faith in You as Lord and Savior. In these troubled times, let many people, including our leaders, seek Your wisdom and guidance. Amen.

- “Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes. I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever.” (Psalm 44:5-8)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. IDF ousts officer responsible for incident in which 15 rescue workers were killed in Gaza - Times of Israel

The IDF has dismissed the deputy commander of the Golani Brigade’s reconnaissance unit for his responsibility for an incident on March 23 in which his forces opened fire on a convoy of ambulances and emergency vehicles in southern Gaza’s Rafah, killing 15 rescue workers.

The commander is also being removed from his role for his “partial and inaccurate” report of the incident during an initial investigation, the military says.

Additionally, the IDF says the commander of the 14th Reserve Armored Brigade — the unit leading the operation in Rafah when the killing of the medics took place — is being formally censured for his “overall responsibility for the incident,” including the management of the scene afterward. 2. In first since ceasefire, Lebanese Army says it foiled rocket attack against Israel, arrested those involved - Times of Israel

The Lebanese Army announces that it foiled a planned rocket attack from Lebanon toward Israel for the first time since a November ceasefire ended over a year of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to the army’s statement, forces raided an apartment in the area of the city of Sidon, confiscated rockets and launch pads, and arrested several individuals involved.

Last week, the Lebanese Army reported that it had arrested Palestinians and Lebanese citizens who were involved in a rocket attack on northern Israel in March. (Read more)

3. Hamas claims it won’t develop weapons, dig tunnels during long-term truce with Israel - Times of Israel

Hamas told Arab mediators last week that it is willing to enter a long-term truce with Israel during which it would halt all military operations, including the development of weapons and the digging of tunnels, two officials familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel on Sunday.

The truce would be part of a comprehensive deal that the terror group is seeking in order to end the Gaza war sparked by its October 7, 2023, onslaught, a senior Palestinian official and a diplomat from an Arab mediating country said.

Hamas is also willing to cede governing control of Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats, as envisioned by an Egyptian proposal for the postwar administration of the Strip, the officials said. (Read more)

4. Iran gains from widening rift between Israel and US, experts say - Jerusalem Post

Division between Israel and the United States is the best thing that could happen to the Islamic Republic, Iran expert and researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) Beni Sabti said on Sunday.

He addressed the New York Times report published last week, which claimed US President Donald Trump blocked a planned Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites in favor of negotiating a deal with Iran to limit its nuclear program.

“The Iranians are not talking about the leak that occurred, likely due to heavy censorship on the subject,” Sabti said.

"That indicates the information is likely true. Because when the Iranians strongly deny something and go out of their way to do so, it means they are standing firm on something. Now, they’re simply enjoying it and staying silent, because a rift between Israel and the United States is the best thing that could happen for them.” (Read more)

5. Hide your flags: NSC warns Israelis abroad over Palestinian 'day of rage' - Jerusalem Post

The National Security Council issued directives for Israelis on Monday abroad ahead of a worldwide “day of rage” in support of Palestinians scheduled for Tuesday.

The directives included complying with local security forces, avoiding displaying Israeli symbols in public, staying away from protests, and remaining on alert.

“Numerous calls have been identified online to hold protest events, demonstrations, and disruptions in various countries around the world,” led by pro-Palestinian activists, the statement read.

“These protests and demonstrations may escalate into violent incidents against Israelis, alongside concerns that terrorist supporters or lone attackers might attempt to infiltrate protest hotspots to carry out an attack.” (Read more)

1. Easter Holiday Still Motivates High Church Attendance in America - Crosswalk

Many pastors would say that Easter is one of their most heavily attended church services. A couple of other church services that draw the crowds include Mother’s Day and Christmas. In fact, a Lifeway Research poll found that, in general, 90 percent of pastors would rank Easter as one of the top three for attendance. Right behind that was Christmas at 81 percent, and 51 percent of pastors said Mother’s Day was the third most attended church holiday.

“While many churches consider high attendance as something from their pre-pandemic past, seasonal changes have resumed,” Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, said. “Church attendance is predictable again with periods of consistency in the fall and early spring, as well as holiday crowds at Christmas and Easter.” (Read more)

- Lord, we pray church attendance will increase throughout the year, even on non-holidays. As the days get darker, your light gets brighter.

2. Belief in the afterlife is on the rise, even among religious ‘nones’ - The Christian Post

Belief in the afterlife is rising among Americans, notably even among those who identify as religious “nones,” or individuals with no formal religious affiliation. An analysis of recent data indicates a marked increase in belief in an afterlife among non-religious Americans, climbing from roughly 50% in the 1970s to around 60% today.

This finding emerges from an analysis by Ryan Burge, associate professor of political science at Eastern Illinois University, who publishes articles and his analyses at "Graphs About Religion" on Substack.

Burge analyzed nearly five decades of data collected through the General Social Survey, conducted regularly since 1973. The survey posed a straightforward question: “Do you believe there is a life after death?” and respondents could answer simply “yes” or “no.” The stability and gradual rise of afterlife belief over the decades is notable, increasing modestly from 76% in 1973 to around 82% in 2022. 3.  Kyiv and Moscow accuse each other of countless violations of one-day Easter ceasefire - Reuters

Russia and Ukraine accused each other of thousands of attacks that violated the one-day Easter ceasefire declared by President Vladimir Putin, with the Kremlin saying there was no order to extend the pause in frontline fighting.
Washington said it would welcome an extension of the truce, and President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reiterated several times Ukraine's willingness to pause strikes for 30 days in the war.

But Putin, who sent thousands of Russian troops into Ukraine in February 2022 and who ordered on Saturday the halt in all military activity along the front line until midnight Moscow time (2100 GMT) on Sunday, did not give orders to extend it.
"There were no other commands," Russia's TASS state news agency cited Kremlin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying when asked whether the ceasefire could be prolonged.
While there were no air raid alerts in Ukraine on Sunday, soon after midnight on Monday the Ukrainian air force issued alerts for east and southeast regions of the country, warning of missile and drone strikes. (Read more)

4. Alito's dissent in deportation case says court rushed to block Trump with middle-of-the night order - AP

The Supreme Court acted “literally in the middle of the night” and without sufficient explanation in blocking the Trump administration from deporting any Venezuelans held in northern Texas under an 18th-century wartime law, Justice Samuel Alito wrote in a sharp dissent that castigated the seven-member majority.

Joined by fellow conservative Justice Clarence Thomas, Alito said there was “dubious factual support” for granting the request in an emergency appeal from the American Civil Liberties Union. The group contended that immigration authorities appeared to be moving to restart such removals under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

The majority did not provide a detailed explanation in the order early Saturday, as is typical, but the court previously said deportations could proceed only after those about to be removed had a chance to argue their case in court and were given “a reasonable time” to contest their pending removals.

“Both the Executive and the Judiciary have an obligation to follow the law,” Alito said in the dissent released hours after the court’s intervention against Republican President Donald Trump’s administration.

- Lord, we intercede over these deportation cases from the Supreme Court that are acting against President Trump’s orders.

5. Trump draft executive order would make sweeping changes to the U.S. State Department - CNBC

The Trump administration could soon roll out sweeping changes to the U.S. State Department, according to a draft executive order obtained by CNBC that lays out what it calls a “disciplined reorganization” of the nation’s diplomatic service.

The 16-page draft order, which is not dated but appears to be prepared for President Donald Trump’s signature, would dramatically upend the department if it is enacted — shuttering American embassies across Southern Africa and eliminating bureaus that work on issues like democracy and human rights, as well as international organizations like the United Nations.

The order also details an overhaul to the process for selecting and training U.S. diplomats.

According to the order, the changes are intended to “streamline mission delivery, project American strength abroad, cut waste, fraud, abuse and align the Department with an American First Strategic Doctrine reflecting the priorities of the Executive Branch.” (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You would grant Your wisdom for the Trump Administration, as they execute these sweeping changes to the U.S. state department.

- "But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere." (James 3:17)
6. Netanyahu vows to press on until Hamas defeated - JNS.org

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday night pledged to continue the war against Hamas until all objectives are met, rejecting recent ceasefire proposals that would leave the terror group in power in Gaza.

“Our war is not over,” Netanyahu declared in a nationally televised statement. “We will not end this war before destroying Hamas, returning all our hostages, and ensuring Gaza never again poses a threat to Israel.”

The prime minister began by mourning the death of Israel Defense Forces Warrant Officer G’haleb Alnasasra, killed earlier in northern Gaza, and offered prayers for the recovery of wounded soldiers.

“The entire people of Israel salute his heroism,” Netanyahu said. “We are in a war for redemption on seven fronts. It carries a heavy price, but we fight for our very existence—until victory.”

Rejecting calls to halt the fighting, Netanyahu said Israel would not accept Hamas’s demands, which he said include full IDF withdrawal, a ceasefire and reconstruction funding that would allow the group to rearm. (Read more)

- Lord, give Israel the strength and needed resources to defeat Hamas.

Why Passover is Important to Christians

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 21, 2025

Christians worldwide celebrate “Easter” as when Christ was crucified, dead, buried and resurrected, providing the path for eternal salvation to all who would receive this gift. Christians see the “last supper,” as Christ taking communion with his disciples. Jesus in keeping the feasts, however, was actually celebrating an early Jewish Passover seder. God instituted the Passover (Pesach) lamb while Israel was still enslaved in Egypt, just before He would “passover” the homes of the Israelites who had spread its blood on their doorposts. Demonstrating judgement over the false gods of Egypt, the LORD slew the firstborn of every Egyptian that had rejected His commands, causing Pharaoh to finally release the Israelites from slavery.

There are two different Hebrew words used in the translation of “passing over.” In the first, God said in Exodus 12:12, “For that night, I will pass through (avar) the land of Egypt and kill the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both men and animals; I will execute judgement against all the gods of Egypt; I am ADONAI.” In the next verse, Exodus 12:13, the LORD promised to pass over the homes of those who trusted Him to protect them from the plague of death. “The blood will serve you as a sign marking the houses where you are; when I see the blood, I will pass over (Hebrew root, pasach) you (lit. upon you)—when I strike the land of Egypt, the death blow will not strike you.” It was the blood of the Passover lamb that “covered” those from the plague of death by atoning for their sin through a substitutionary sacrifice. World leaders, including King Charles and Zelensky, react to Pope Francis' death: 'Most deeply saddened'

President Trump joined other world leaders and royalty in paying tribute to Pope Francis on Monday after the announcement of the pontiff’s death following a drawn-out respiratory crisis.

“Rest in Peace Pope Francis! May God Bless him and all who loved him!” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Britain’s King Charles said he and his wife, Queen Camilla, were “most deeply saddened” by the pontiff’s passing.

“Our heavy hearts have been somewhat eased, however, to know that His Holiness was able to share an Easter Greeting with the Church and the world he served with such devotion throughout his life and ministry,” Charles said in a statement.

“His Holiness will be remembered for his compassion, his concern for the unity of the Church and for his tireless commitment to the common causes of all people of faith, and to those of goodwill who work for the benefit of others.” (New York Post) Read more here.

House Lawmakers Introduce Legislation to Criminalize Drone Filming of US Military Sites
‘We must send a clear message that we will not tolerate unlawful surveillance on American soil,’ Rep. Jen Kiggans said.

Bipartisan legislation has been introduced in the House to safeguard U.S. defense sites from video surveillance by drones operated by foreign agents, particularly those working for the Chinese communist regime.

Reps. Jen Kiggans (R-Va.) and Don Davis (D-N.C.), both members of the House Armed Services Committee, introduced the Drone Espionage Act (H.R. 2939) to ensure that individuals using drones to take video of U.S. defense infrastructure can be punished under the Espionage Act of 1917, according to a statement Kiggans issued on April 18.

“As a Navy veteran who represents one of the most military-heavy districts in the country, I know how critical it is to safeguard our national defense infrastructure and protect sensitive national security information,” Kiggans said in the statement.

The legislation would hold bad actors accountable, impose serious repercussions, and protect U.S. national security, she noted.

“As China and other adversaries ramp up threats and increase their drone usage, we must send a clear message that we will not tolerate unlawful surveillance on American soil,” Kiggans said.

The Espionage Act already criminalizes the use of an aircraft for unlawful photography of military installations. The legislation would amend the law to include “video” in the list of criminal information-gathering means. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that Congress is getting ready to pass a bill to update the Espionage Act, which is already on the books. This new piece of legislation will serve to strengthen our national defense in this era of the drones. Thank You, O Lord, amen!

NASA's Curiosity rover finds major clue that Mars was once habitable
NASA's Curiosity rover has found iron-rich carbonates on Mars, offering new clues about the planet's ancient climate and potential habitability.

While slowly climbing the slopes of Mount Sharp — a towering peak inside Mars' Gale Crater — NASA's Curiosity rover made a remarkable discovery: large deposits of carbon locked away in carbonate minerals. That may sound a little dry at first, but in reality this find could be a major piece of the puzzle in our search for ancient life on the Red Planet.

Carbonate minerals form when carbon dioxide interacts with water and rock, making them an important marker of past environmental conditions. Scientists have spotted these minerals before on Mars — by rovers on the ground, orbiters above, and even in Martian meteorites that fell to Earth — but Curiosity's latest data adds exciting new details.

"It tells us that the planet was habitable and that the models for habitability are correct," said the study's lead author, Ben Tutolo, associate professor with the Department of Earth, Energy and Environment in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary, in a statement. Read More
