US helicopter raid kills senior ISIS leader in Syria
|
|
A US helicopter raid in northeast Syria targeted a senior ISIS leader and planner early Monday morning, according to a spokesman for US Central Command. “We believe the raid killed a senior ISIS Syria leader and operational planner responsible for planning terror attacks in the Middle East and Europe,” said Col. Joe Buccino.
On Monday afternoon US Central Command identified the senior ISIS leader as Abd-al-Hadi Mahmud al-Haji Ali, who it said was responsible for planning terror attacks in the Middle East and Europe.
No US forces were wounded in the raid and no helicopters were shot down, Buccino added.
According to CENTCOM, the helicopter raid targeting the senior ISIS leader was launched after the US learned of intelligence revealing an ISIS plot to kidnap officials abroad. We know ISIS retains the desire to strike beyond the MIddle East,” said Buccino. “This raid deals a significant blow to ISIS operations in the region but does not eliminate ISIS’ capability to conduct operations.”
No civilians were killed or injured, according to an earlier statement from CENTCOM.
“Though degraded, ISIS remains able to conduct operations within the region with a desire to strike beyond the Middle East,” Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla said in the statement. “We will continue the relentless campaign against ISIS.” The US has remained focused on the defeat of ISIS in Syria and Iraq as part of an ongoing campaign to prevent the terror organization from growing again. Abba, thank you that our military was able to take out an important ISIS leader in the raid carried out early Monday morning in Syria. We thank you that no US military personnel were harmed in any way and no military equipment lost.
Father God, we ask that you continue to make the way for US Intelligence and Military to remove more ISIS leadership, to push back against the plans created in darkness by those who want to destroy our nation. We ask you Holy God, to fill their hearts with the fear of the Lord, send confusion into their minds and let their plans be fruitless, their intentions thwarted.
Lord, we know that the battle is yours. Please give us wisdom in prayer and faith to stand and trust you to bring us victory. We ask this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

California Goes Full Communist: Utilities to Base What They Charge on How Much You Make

The state of California is implementing full Marxism before our very eyes under the guise of “equity.” And so now there can be no possible doubt if there ever was for anyone: instituting Communism has been what “equity” initiatives have been about all along. Now three of its most powerful utility companies are saying that they’re going to charge based not on how much of their product was used, but on how much money the user makes.
In simpler times, if you bought something, you paid for it. Rich or poor, tall or short, black or white, female or male, wise or foolish, everyone paid the same amount for a product. But in our more enlightened era, we know how unjust that really is. It deprives the poor of access to vital goods and services, and that injustice must be redressed.
That’s what Communism is all about, at least in theory: leveling out economic differences between people by confiscating earnings from the rich and awarding them to those who have less. This is the fundamental reason why Marxism, despite its extraordinarily bloody historical record, still appeals to so many people, rich, poor, and in between: it appears to redress the injustices in life and provide everyone with a decent living.
That is the disastrous path that Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, and San Diego Gas & Electric are now planning to follow. ABC 7 in Los Angeles reported Friday that the three utility giants “filed a joint proposal this week for a flat-rate charge based on income.” Not a flat-rate charge, period, but one based on how much money you make. “The plan would break monthly bills in two parts: The fixed-income rate, plus a reduced usage charge based on consumption. Under the proposal, it would cost as little as $15 a month for low-income households and up to $85 more per month for households making more than $180,000 a year.” (PJMedia) Read more

Abba, it is hard to fathom how dark the leadership in California has become. We need your protection from the new Marxist billing structure being instituted by Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric and San Diego Gas & Electric. These companies have decided to bill each user based on income, not how much power they use. Lord, this is the concept that Marxism/Communism is built on; "from each according to their ability, to each according to their need." Father God, help! This type of social structure leads people to look to the government to take care of them, not you.
Holy God, we are asking that you make the way to ensure this billing structure is not allowed to be enforced. Your word says, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, Holy Spirit will raise up a standard against him". We are asking you to raise up a standard against this evil plan to make our government our provider, taking our eyes off of you as Jehovah Jirah, the source of our provision. Give us your vision and wisdom as we pray against this scheme of the enemy to pull your church away from faith. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus. AMEN.

Missouri issues first state restrictions on ‘sex changes’ for adults
|

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri (LifeSiteNews) — The attorney general of Missouri issued new guidance on interventions for gender-confused individuals, including the country’s first restrictions on so-called “gender transitions” for adults.
In an emergency rule issued on Friday, Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced restrictions to be placed on hormonal and surgical intervention for both children and adults experiencing gender confusion. The rule highlights such procedures as violations of the state’s Merchandising Practices Act.
“Individuals of any age experiencing gender dysphoria or related conditions should be able to and are able to obtain care in Missouri,” the document states. “Often this care takes the form of psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, rather than any chemical or surgical intervention.”
“This emergency rule is necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, and also to protect a compelling governmental interest as the attorney general is charged with protecting consumers, including minors, from harm and investigating fraud and abuse in the state’s health care payment system. Among other reasons, the recent immense increase in the use of these life-altering interventions, which have serious side effects, as well as the recent acknowledgment that these interventions are used in circumstances not supported by solid evidence, makes this issue time sensitive.”
Medical professionals and organizations are prohibited from administering drugs and surgery in the name of “gender affirmation” if they have not annually “assess[ed] whether the patient continues to have gender dysphoria” and “ensure[d] that, for at least the 3 most recent consecutive years, the patient has exhibited a medically documented, long-lasting, persistent and intense pattern of gender dysphoria.”(LifesiteNews) Read more

Abba, we give you praise for guiding the Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey to place restrictions on hormonal and surgical intervention for both children and adults experiencing gender confusion. Thank you Father that AG Bailey is taking a stand against this process forcing medical professionals and organizations to follow other medical options before using the extreme measures that are so prevalent now.
Father God, the enemy is doing everything he can to steal peoples' identity and their destiny. His plan is to deceive your children into following his plan for their lives, not your pathway.. Holy God, we know this grieves your heart and it grieves ours also. In your love and mercy open the eyes of those experiencing gender confusion, allow them to see the harm the enemy has planned for them. Show them your plan for their lives, let your love heal and fill their hearts and minds. Lord, you know where each has been wounded so you know what each one needs to see and hear. We ask that you bring that personal touch to each person, to all who desperately need you to rescue them from those who are too strong for them. We ask this in the name of El Shaddai, God Almighty. 1. Netanyahu calls for unity in fight against terror - JNS
(April 19, 2023 / JNS) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday participated in a cornerstone laying ceremony at Mount Herzl military cemetery in Jerusalem for a memorial hall honoring victims of terrorism.
“Even if there are among us differences of opinion and outlook, before anything else, we are brothers and sisters,” the premier said.

2. Lapid boycotting state Independence Day event; Israelis dispirited by division, celebrating abroad - World Israel News
Opposition leader Yair lapid announced Wednesday that he has refused the government’s official invitation to the traditional torch-lighting ceremony and Independence Day celebration on Mount Herzl next week due to his fury over its judicial reform plans.
“We won’t pretend that we are celebrating together and that everything is OK while the government is tearing the nation apart and erasing democracy,” he declared in response to the invitation sent both to him and National Unity party head Benny Gantz by Transportation Minister Miri Regev, who is in charge of the event.
“You have left me no choice,” he wrote in his response. “I love the State of Israel with all my heart but in three months you have divided Israeli society, and no fake fireworks performance will cover that up. If national unity is so important to you, you would not be dismantling our democracy and instead you’d be going to work for Israel’s citizens.” (Read more)

3. Terrorists open fire on bus in Samaria - Israel National News
Terrorists opened fire on a bus between Tapuah and Migdalim in Samaria this evening (Wednesday). No one was injured in the attack.
Security forces are currently searching for the shooters.
Samaria Regional Council chairman Yossi Dagan said in response to the attack: "I say clearly to the terrorists who shoot in the dead of night at a civilian bus on a main road, those terrorists from the Palestinian Authority - you will never break us."
"The settlement in Samaria and all of Israel will develop even more, we are Jews, we believe in goodness, we will add more buildings, more roads and we will win," he added. (Read more)

4. FM Cohen heads to Turkmenistan to inaugurate closest Israeli embassy to Iran - Israel Hayom
Foreign Minister Eli Cohen Wednesday evening will travel to Turkmenistan – the central Asian country that shares a long border with Iran – to officially inaugurate a permanent Israeli embassy in the capital city of Ashgabat.
The embassy will be the closest official Israeli mission to an Iranian border, only some 15 miles away. Cohen's visit will be the first to Turkmenistan by an Israeli foreign minister in the past 30 years. He is scheduled to meet with Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Agriculture and Environmental Protection Minister Allanur Altyyev.
Turkmenistan, a Muslim-majority country, established relations with Israel in the run-up to its declaration of independence in 1991. About a decade ago, in light of good relations between the two states, Israel opened a temporary embassy there with a temporary structure, now permanent. (Read more)

5. IDF Strikes Hezbollah targets in Syria, Loses Drone - Jewish Press
The Israel Defense Forces struck assets belonging to Iranian terror proxy Hezbollah in southern Syria overnight Tuesday, according to foreign reports.
According to reports, the military fired artillery at targets in Quneitra in the Syrian-held part of the Golan Heights.
The IDF on Wednesday morning dropped leaflets in the area warning the Syrian army against working with Hezbollah.
The Israeli military did not comment on the reports but said that a Skylark drone conducting a routine operation crashed overnight in Syria. (Read more)

Reza Pahlavi, prominent Iranian opposition leader and son of Iran’s deposed monarch, expressed the hope on Wednesday that Israel and Iran will return to being “strategic partners” as they were under his father’s rule — predicated on regime change that the exiled crown prince has long advocated for the Islamic Republic.
“I know that Iranians and Israelis see how important it will be for our future to be our strategic partners, to work together, to address many issues,” he said, in remarks in French, English and Farsi at a press conference in Tel Aviv on the third day of an unprecedented trip to Israel.
“I’ve come here to convey this message to Israeli citizens,” he added. He choked up with emotion after describing the “overwhelming” outpouring of support he has received from Israelis since arriving.
Distinguishing between the Iranian public and its militantly anti-Israel government, Pahlavi further said that Iranians are “absolutely, there is no question” ready for normalization with Israel.
“As far as the Iranian people are concerned, they are ecstatic, they are enthusiastic, they are happy that finally they are represented in a different light,” Pahlavi added, stressing that this is “something they’ve been dying to tell the world: We are not terrorists. 1. U.S. Supreme Court Stays Ruling That Suspended Abortion-Pill Approval - National Review
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday temporarily blocked a federal court’s ruling that suspended the FDA’s approval of the abortion pill.
Justice Alito issued the administrative stay of U.S. District Judge Kacsmaryk’s ruling dealing with the circulation of mifepristone, one of two drugs commonly involved in a chemical abortion regime. Mifepristone, a progesterone blocker, kills the unborn baby by depriving it of nutrients, and misoprostol causes uterine contractions to empty the uterus. Over half of all abortions in the U.S. are done using the two-drug combination.
The stay applies until 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Any response to the application must be filed on or before Tuesday, April 18, 2023 by 12 p.m., the order states. After Kacsmaryk’s order, the Department of Justice appealed the decision in the case, which has now been escalated to the Supreme Court.

2. Rep. Mace: GOP Tone-Deaf on Abortion - Newsmax
Republican politicians must stop burying their "heads in the sand" about abortion if the party wants to win elections again, Rep. Nancy Mace told "Fox News Sunday."
The South Carolina Republican said her colleagues must move to the center on the issue, particularly criticizing anti-abortion policies that don't give clear exceptions for rape and incest or that do not offer solutions for women seeking OB-GYN care.
"We need to find a middle ground on this issue, and I have a great pro-life voting record," Mace said. "But some of the stances we take — and especially when it comes to rape and incest, protecting the life of the mother — it's so extreme that middle, independent voters, right of center, left of center, they cannot support us." Lord God, statistics state that Nearly thirteen million babies worldwide have lost their lives to abortion so far this year. As we pray, we remember that this is a spiritual battle. 3. Redfield Said CDC Let Their Political Views Cloud Judgment - The Daily Caller
Former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said Wednesday on Fox News that the CDC let their political biases cloud their judgment when working with former President Donald Trump to tackle the pandemic.
“They said because President Trump felt one way, the CIA would go a different direction. Was there that much tension that you noticed between what Trump was saying and what the scientific community was willing to do?” host Brian Kilmeade asked.
“Yeah, I think so,” Redfield said. “I think you have to realize, in the CDC, much of our government apparatus were nonpolitical careers. Many of them, unfortunately, had their own view about President Trump. It’s very disappointing that the CIA would take that position. 4. Job Creators Network Will File Suit to Block Biden’s EPA Electric Vehicle Mandate - Brietbart
Alfredo Ortiz, the president and CEO of Job Creators Network, announced in an op-ed for Fox News that his organization is mounting a legal challenge against the Biden administration’s latest regulatory push for electric vehicles (EVs)
Last week, the Biden administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposedthe strictest tailpipe emissions regulation in the agency’s history. The proposal would require that up to two-thirds of all vehicles sold in the United States be electric by 2032.

5. NGO that Exposed NYC Chinese Police Station Says More Operating in Texas, L.A., Nebraska - Brietbart
Safeguard Defenders, the non-governmental organization that exposed over 100 illegal Chinese government police stations abroad last year, listed on Tuesday multiple American cities in addition to New York in which such stations are believed to still be operating.
New York prosecutors announced the arrests on Monday of two individuals, “Harry” Lu Jianwang and Chen Jinping, for allegedly establishing an illicit police station in Manhattan used to harass, persecute, and threaten into repatriation anti-communist dissidents in the United States. U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Breon Peace accused China’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of “repeatedly and flagrantly violat[ing] our nation’s sovereignty by opening and operating a police station in the middle of New York City.”
The Department of Justice (DOJ) also announced charges levied against about 40 individuals, most believed to be in China and Indonesia, for organizing “troll farms” online to spread Chinese propaganda and threaten anti-Chinese government dissidents. Some of those charged also stand accused of infiltrating an unnamed American telecommunications company to sabotage virtual events organized by dissidents, such as a memorial for the victims of the Tiananmen Square massacre. Lord God, we thank you for exposing more of these organizations in our country. We continue to pray for justice to be exercised in every level of this overwhelming criminal action that CCP has committed against the sovereignty of our nation. We bind all attacks China has executed within our country and declare they must cease and desist their evil actions against our free and independent people, in Jesus name. Actress and Broadway star Patti LuPone said during her Tuesday appearance on The View that she has “no idea what the difference is” between “our Christian right and the Taliban.” After being asked what she thought about “DeSantis and the LGBTQ,” LuPone said, “That is extremely upsetting. These are human beings. And I could cry. They’re not harming anybody.”
“I don’t know why he’s doing this,” LuPone said of Florida Gov. 7. NIH records show feds funded research in China to create coronavirus 'mutants' - Just The News
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch on Wednesday announced it had received records from the Department of Health and Human Services showing that the National Institutes of Health granting funding for experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology that sought to create mutant coronavirus variants
Included in the documents were the initial grant application from EcoHealth Alliance and its annual reports. Those documents described work with the WIV as seeking to "predict the capacity of our CoVs [coronaviruses] to infect people."
Included in the "specific aims" section is a discussion of "[t]esting predictions of CoV inter-species transmission."
The group received a $3.3 million grant for its "Understanding the Risk of Coronavirus Emergence" project, which ran from October 2013 through September of 2018. In 2014, EcoHealth received almost $3.1 over five years from the NIH for "Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence." Records also show that the NIH later granted additional funds to the WIV in July 2020, at the height of the pandemic. (Read more)

Mark Lytle, lawyer for the IRS Whistleblower in the Hunter Biden case, discusses his client reporting to the Justice Department top watchdog that federal prosecutors appointed by Joe Biden have engaged in “preferential treatment and politics” to block criminal tax charges against presidential son Hunter Biden.
This is providing evidence as a whistleblower that conflicts with Attorney General Merrick Garland’s recent testimony to Congress that the decision to bring charges against Biden was being left to the Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for Delaware.

Stupidocrisy: Inflation Is Under Control

If you have bought fuel or groceries lately, you probably have noticed that the Biden Administration propaganda about reducing inflation is nothing more than a shell game trying to get you to believe that inflation is not as bad as your wallet says it is. The Biden Administration, and the lapdog news media for that matter, focuses on the core inflation rates that remove energy and food prices from the calculation. It’s a major fudge factor justified by government economists because they say food and fuel prices are too volatile to be included. The “renaming” of the Consumer Price Indexes occurred in 1978, when the Lord of Inflation, Jimmy Carter, blew up the economy like Biden is doing today.
Energy and food costs are calculated in the Consumer Price Index-Urban, or CPI-U, not the “Core CPI’ that removes energy and food and is used by inflation-generating Administrations and the news media to make it seem like socialist economic policies are not as bad as they seem. On April 13, White House National Economic Council Deputy Director Bharat Ramamurti told CNBC that the March CPI report is “a very, very positive report, as you highlighted just now, inflation at the headline level continues to come down, nine straight months now of declining inflation. One of the most salient prices for families, for consumers–grocery prices–actually went down over the last month.” I guess Ramamurti doesn’t do his own grocery shopping because the rest of us haven’t seen this relief. Fetterman returned to the Senate this week after a lengthy stay in the hospital for clinical depression that began in mid-February.
The Pennsylvania Democrat, who suffered a stroke on the campaign trail, resumed his chairmanship of the Senate Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Food and Nutrition, Specialty Crops, Organics and Research.
Fetterman’s opening remarks after his months-long hospital stay were choppy, with users online reacting to a clip of his comments.
Podcaster Jewels Jones called the clip "frightening," while Harrison Fields, communications director for Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., joked about Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s reaction to the clip.
"Remember when they scolded you for criticizing a man with a ‘disability’ during his campaign?" reporter Breanna Morelo wrote. "Well—here he is attempting to do his job after coming back from a 2 month vacation…"
Reporter Savannah Hernandez tweeted she has "heard second graders with better reading abilities than this."

Kevin McCarthy to be first US House Speaker to address Knesset in 25 years

United States House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy will give a speech in front of a full session of the Israeli Knesset during his upcoming trip to Israel later this month, he announced on Tuesday.
McCarthy, a Republican from California, will be the first US House speaker to address the Knesset in 25 years. In 1998, Newt Gingrich was the first and last to do so.
McCarthy, along with a bipartisan delegation of 20 Republican and Democratic members of Congress, is slated to arrive in Israel on April 30 as part of the Jewish state's 75th Independence Day celebrations.
The trip is McCarthy's first abroad since taking up the role of Speaker of the United States House of Representatives earlier this year. (Jerusalem Post) Read more

880 inches of snow helps pull Utah out of short-term drought
|
|
|
The state is no longer under extreme drought conditions for the first time in nearly three years, thanks to heavy snow this winter, which piled up to over 73 feet at one resort.
One of 2023’s most significant weather developments has been the rapid improvement of drought conditions in the West, with more than half of California’s population finally getting out of brutal long-term drought. The same storms that have caused such a dramatic turnaround in California have also significantly improved the drought situation in Utah, as the state has climbed out of extreme drought for the first time in nearly three years, thanks to record snowfall.
AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alan Reppert says snowfall in some Utah mountains was “well over record levels” this season.
One of Utah’s premier ski areas, Alta, recorded a stunning 879.5 inches of snowfall -- over 73 feet -- through early April, breaking the 43-year seasonal record of 748 inches from the 1981–82 season. That number is also nearly double the 445.5 inches of accumulation in the 2021-2022 snow season. Read More

Founder of Western Journal Floyd Brown has taken the initiative to expose the false narratives shaping American society today. Joining Charlie Kirk on his podcast, "The Charlie Kirk Show," Kirk and Brown discuss Brown's new book "CounterPunch" and taking back the narrative in America to promote truth over lies. "What I tried to do was...look at the larger narratives that we've been having to deal with [in America]. We have had a series of false narratives that have been shoved down the throats of the American people the last five years...they are all intended to make people feel powerless," says Brown. "What I want to do is re-empower people, re-engage people so they can understand they can have a real impact where they are at if they occupy the territory where they live," he adds.
Parents across the country have been rising to this call-to-action, specifically in the past several years. As the realization that school boards and unions across the country have moved to withhold information on students from their parents, there has been a tidal wave of conservative victories to oust the far-left radicals on school boards. This, according to Brown, is how real change is made in America. Actions such as being an active participant in American society and making sure Christian voices are being heard and are influencing behaviors in culture. Correcting the spiritual aspects of America's moral decline takes intentional action as well.
