Franklin Graham is shown preaching to the faithful in this image. "Parents need to go to the school boards," he said in an interview.  (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association)
Rev. Franklin Graham: School board member is 'most important elected official' in America today
Christian leader, in an exclusive interview, said concerned parents must stand up for America's kids 'at a critical time for our nation'

Speaking to Fox News Digital exclusively in a telephone interview late last week and then via emailed comments on Monday, Rev. Franklin Graham, CEO and president of Samaritan's Purse and CEO and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, talked about the great need of Americans to turn to God today.

The Christian leader also noted the importance of elected office in communities across America — as, increasingly, concerned parents take a stand against a culture that does not embrace biblical values.

"Parents need to go to the school boards. We need to get Christian men and women to run for school boards."

"People have turned their backs on God," said Rev. Graham.

"Our educators have taken God out of schools. Our politicians have taken God out of politics. Our nation is not better [for it]. Our nation is worse," he said.

Graham added, "People don’t know how to tell the truth. They have no clue what the truth is. It just seems that we go from bad to worse," he said.

That is why, he said in compelling comments, "the only hope is God. Only God can turn this nation around," he said

"And I pray that people will turn to God, pray to him and ask him for his help in all that we do — and that he’ll bless this nation."

Rev. Graham added, "We have become so violent. Our entertainment is so violent. God judged this world with a flood. He flooded the entire earth — and one of the reasons is because mankind had become so wicked and the world so violent. And look at how violent we are today."

"This is a critical time for our nation. Issues like abortion and sexuality and gender are being politicized like never before."

He continued, "Our entertainment industry pushes violence. It pushes sex. And the Hollywood people come out against guns — yet they take guns and they glorify them."

He also said, "We’re so twisted. And I hope that our nation would wake up and see the problems we’ve facing and realize the only hope is God." (Fox News)

- Oh Holy God! We so thank You for Franklin Graham, whose voice rings out among our people as a Jeremiah for this lost generation. We ask that MANY would now consider the opportunity to run for a seat on their own school boards, so that our curriculum will be changed from evil to good. It is time, dear Lord, that our parents stop allowing our children to be indoctrinated into the ways of communism. Let them instead grasp and treasure that America IS the "land of the free and the home of the brave," and that we all carry a mandate to train our children in these truths. Thank You, dear Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Jesus' name, amen and amen!

- (For our children) "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free!"              (John 8:32)

Ukraine war:
Russia bombards cities as eastern offensive begins
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Russia has launched an assault to seize the eastern Donbas region.

Russian and Ukrainian forces clashed on Tuesday along the eastern front line, after Mr Zelensky said the battle for the Donbas had begun.

Ukraine's top security official, Oleksiy Danilov, said Russia was trying break through Ukrainian defensive positions throughout Ukraine's east.

The offensive had been expected after Russia failed to seize Kyiv.

After its push to overrun the capital stalled, Moscow announced its military would focus instead on eastern Ukraine where Russian-backed separatists have been fighting Ukrainian forces since 2014.

. . . Russia's President Vladmir Putin has portrayed the invasion as an attempt to demilitarise and "denazify" Ukraine, something Ukraine and its allies dismiss as a ruse for an unprovoked attack.

The Pentagon's press secretary, John Kirby, cautioned Russia could be "setting the conditions for future offensive operations" and officials in Kyiv warned that the new Russian offensive does not mean that Moscow has ended its attacks on other parts of Ukraine.

"Putin hasn't removed the goal to destroy us as a state and our political leadership," Mr Danilov said in an interview with Ukrainian TV. (BBC)

- Oh Lord God! Only YOU know how to turn the hearts of these kings away from war and toward peace. Until a time of peace is restored, we continue to ask that Your Hand of blessing and provision would rest upon all the civilians on both sides of this conflict, through even miraculous acts of survival. Help us, O Lord we pray, amen and amen!

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. IDF says it struck Hamas weapons depot in Gaza in response to 1st rocket in 4 months - Times of Israel

The Israeli military struck targets in the Gaza Strip after midnight on Tuesday in response to a rocket fired from the Hamas-controlled enclave hours earlier.

The rocket attack was the first in nearly four months, ending one of the longest periods of quiet on the Gaza border in years.

The Israeli military said in a statement that it bombed a number of targets, including a site used by Hamas to manufacture weapons. Hamas-affiliated media reported that the Israeli airstrikes targeted a site operated by Palestinian factions west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. (Read more)

2. Bennett closes Temple Mount to Jews for rest of Ramadan - Israel National News

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has decided to close the Temple Mount to Jewish visits for the rest of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan in response to violence which has taken place on the holy site.

The closure will take effect beginning this Friday.

Temple Mount activists say the previous closure period was for a maximum of 3-4 days, rather than 12 as planned this time.

Arab rioters clashed with police on the Temple Mount on Friday, after hundreds of rioters barricaded themselves in the Al Aqsa Mosque and threw stones at police officers. (Read more)

3. Rejecting Jordan’s praise for rioters, Bennett decries ‘incitement to violence’ - Times of Israel

Amid escalating diplomatic tensions with Jordan over recent clashes on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Monday that he views “with utmost severity” comments blaming Israel for the violence.

Bennett spoke after Israel’s Foreign Ministry directly accused Jordan of “backing those who… resort to violence.”

Alluding to comments made earlier in the day by Jordan’s prime minister, Bennett lashed out at “the remarks accusing Israel of the violence directed against us,” and fumed that “there are those who are encouraging rock-throwing and the use of violence against the citizens of the State of Israel. 4. Turkey’s Erdogan Speaks With Israel’s Herzog Over Jerusalem Unrest - Algemeiner

i24 News – Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israel’s President Isaac Herzog spoke over the phone as Tuesday over the latest tensions in Jerusalem.

Violence surrounding Jerusalem’s Temple Mount resulted in over 150 Palestinians wounded and hundreds more detained over the weekend, prompting much of the Arab world — in the midst of the Muslim holiday of Ramadan — to condemn Israeli activities at the holy site.

Herzog reassured Erdogan that Israel is defending all prayer-goers, whether Jewish, Muslim, or Christian. (Read more)

1. Federal Mask Mandate For Public Transportation Overturned By District Judge - The Daily Caller

A federal judge struck down the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) mask mandate for public transportation Monday. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle of Florida’s middle district ruled that the mask mandate exceeds the CDC’s statutory authority under the Administrative Procedure Act, according to court documents. The lawsuit challenging the mandate was initially brought in July 2021 by the Health Freedom Defense Fund.

Mizelle, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, ruled that the CDC’s order “violates the procedures required for agency rulemaking under the APA” and remanded the mandate order back to the CDC.

The Biden administration has continued to extend the temporary mask mandate order throughout the pandemic, most recently announcing last week that the order would be extended at least 15 more days into May. With all 50 states and most localities having dropped their indoor mask mandates earlier this year, the federal mandate forcing Americans to mask on planes, trains and other public transit is one of the last remaining COVID-19 restrictions still in place. (Read more)
- Can we shout HALLELUJAH!  We put a seal on this decision and bind it from ever having strength again.  We also rebuke every mandate and dictate that overrides our 14th Amendment Constitutional Right to not be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law.  In Jesus name.  We thank You Abba for the free running of Your word into the earth and we loose smiles and joy into the people.

2.  Another Top Pentagon Tech Official Resigns, Says Breaking Through Bureaucracy Was Like ‘Working to Defy Gravity’ - The Epoch Times

The Pentagon lost another top IT official on April 18, with the resignation of Preston Dunlap, the founding chief architecture officer of the Air and Space Forces.

In an open resignation letter posted to social media, Dunlap said that he was proud of the three years he spent at the Defense Department but that bureaucracy, a risk-averse culture, and other internal issues made innovation more difficult than it should have been.

He said that the department fostered an environment in which it was “hard, but not impossible” to innovate, and compared the effort required to break through Pentagon bureaucracy to the effort needed to push satellites past Earth’s gravity.
“I’ve spent the last three years working to defy gravity and get desperately needed technology into our operators’ hands,” Dunlap said. (Read more)

- Thank You Father that this defense technology innovator has taken a bold and public stand on behalf of our nation's security.  Please protect him in his future endeavors as this nation faces the very real threat of space wars with China or Russia.  May the power struggles in DOD be diminished and the willingness to innovate, despite the risks, be increased so that we may be strong again.

3.  House GOPers Preparing Political Earthquake With Legislation to Withdraw NEA’s Federal Charter - The Epoch Times

A bill co-sponsored by 18 House Republicans would remove the National Education Association’s (NEA) 116-year-old federal charter because of the union’s hyper-partisanship and support for extreme ideological policies such as critical race theory (CRT).

“The NEA can no longer be considered a public service worthy of its federal charter as it has drifted substantially from its core mission and become a massive political operation dedicated to electing Democrats and imposing a radical progressive agenda on America’s schools,” reads the bill, HR 7510, which was introduced April 14.
The NEA was chartered in 1906 by Congress ‘‘to elevate the character and advance the interests of the profession of teaching; and to promote the cause of education in the United States,’’ according to HR7510.

To date, the NEA is the only federally chartered labor union and, with that charter, it is “receiving a seal of approval from and support of their actions by Congress,” according to the proposal. (Read more)

- Yes and Amen!  Father, we join our prayers together in strength to see this legislation run the the House and Senate.  Would You allow it to be veto-proof so that this position of strength is successful.  We stand against this organization determined to tear down families and academic strength of our nation.  May they lose all footing, foundation and protections, in Jesus name.

4. Airline passengers sing Christian worship songs throughout cabin. Rep. Ilhan Omar is upset, - The Blaze Media

TMZ reported the video originated from a since-deleted Facebook post by Jack Jensz Jr., who is purported to be a pastor and founder of Kingdom Realm Ministries.
In the video, shared by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), two people can be seen walking the aisle of what is reported to be an EasyJet flight to Europe.

The two can be heard singing while one plays the guitar, leading others in their seats to join in on the worshipping.
According to a report from the Daily Dot, Jensz posted the same video to his Instagram page earlier this month.
“#Jesus is taking over this Flight,” he wrote in the video’s caption, the outlet reported.

On Saturday, Omar shared the video to Twitter and captioned it, "I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?" At the time of this reporting, Omar's tweet has received more than 21,000 comments and has been viewed more than 32 million times. (Read more)

5. White House defends Title 42 termination as ‘return’ to immigration ‘standard’ - Fox News

The White House is calling for a fix to the "broken immigration system" as the Biden administration faces pressure from both Democrats and Republicans over its decision to end Title 42.

The Biden administration announced this month that it will end Title 42, which has been used since March 2020 to expel a majority of migrants at the border, on May 23. The decision sparked concerns from both Republicans and Democrats that ending the order could lead to an overwhelming surge at the border.

"There is no question we have a broken immigration system," Psaki said Monday. "There’s more we need to do. We’ve been saying that from the first day the president took office, and anyone who wants to work on that, Democrats, Republicans, anyone, how we can put smarter security in place, how we can have an asylum processing system that works, we would love to do that."  (Read more)

Abba, we call for more Democrats to agree to keeping Title 42 in place.  We ask for a bi-partisan solution to retaining some measure of control at the border and one which the schemes of the administration.  We pray for our Border Patrol and ICE workers and ask You Father to bless, protect and provide for them.  Return these immigrants to their homes and families, cut off the overwhelming flow of money funding their travel to our border and remove all the children and women from the trafficking nightmare in which they are trapped.  In Jesus name.

- " . . . 'Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers forever and ever.'"  (Jer. 25:5)

6. Sussmann doesn’t want Clinton tweet touting collusion claims to be admissible - Washington Examiner

The Democratic cybersecurity lawyer charged with concealing his work for the Clinton campaign from the FBI doesn’t want special counsel John Durham to be able to use Hillary Clinton’s tweet touting the Trump-Russia collusion claims he was pushing as evidence at trial. Durham told the federal court last week he wanted an October 2016 tweet from the Clinton campaign promoting the Alfa-Bank claims to be admitted as evidence at the May trial.

The special counsel argued the tweet is not inadmissible hearsay "because it is not being offered for its truth” — emphasizing that the prosecutors actually believe its claims were false. Durham said he instead wanted to present the tweet to “show the existence of the defendant’s attorney-client relationship with the Clinton Campaign, which is directly relevant to the false statement charge.”

On Halloween 2016, Clinton tweeted, “Donald Trump has a secret server ... It was set up to communicate privately with a Putin-tied Russian bank.” (Read more)

- God of Justice, we pray for the truth to expose every person involved in this deception and collusion against our President and this nation.  Bless and defend John Durham and his team as they pursue a righteous resolution to every wicked thing that has taken place, in Jesus name.

- "'And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,' says the Lord God, 'when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.'"          (Ezekiel 36:23)

7. Islamic State Calls For Attacks in Europe Urging Followers to Take Advantage of Ukraine Crisis - Brietbart

On Sunday,  Abu Omar al-Muhajir, the spokesman for the Islamic State, announced that the terror group would be seeking revenge for the death of its former leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hachimi al-Qurashi, who died after blowing himself up during a united states special forces operation in Syria in February.

“We are announcing, relying on God, a blessed campaign to take revenge,” al-Muhajir said and called don Islamic State followers and members to engage in attacks using the “opportunity” of the “crusader fight”, a term used previously by the group to describe the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Le Figaro reports.

Last month, the terrorist group celebrated the Russia-Ukraine conflict stating that the conflict was a “divine punishment” and said, “What is happening today, the direct bloody war between the Orthodox crusaders – Russia and Ukraine – is but one example of God’s punishment for them, as described in the Qu’ran.” (Read more)

- Almighty God, we bind the schemes of these terrorists and call for angelic shackles to hinder them from every plot and target they have.  May their weapons malfunction and their lines of communication be utterly scrambled.  You and Your blood speak a much better word and are far more powerful than these ones.  Strike them in the heart with the fear of Jesus Christ, the Living Savior. In Jesus name.

- ""Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria:  "He shall not come into this city, Nor shoot an arrow there, Nor come before it with shield, Nor build a siege mound against it.  By the way that he came, By the same shall he return; . . . "'"  (Isaiah 37:33-34a)

8. AZ AG admits issues with 2020 election, Trump unleashes on him in scorching rebuke - DML News

Former President Donald Trump released a statement Monday and ripped into Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, over a report he released two weeks ago about the 2020 election. On April 6, Brnovich announced, “I just dropped off our initial review of the 2020 election audit to President Fann. We can report that there are problematic system-wide issues that relate to early ballot handling and verification.”

In a letter to Arizona state Sen. Karen Fann, Brnovich wrote, “We have reached the conclusion that the 2020 election in Maricopa County revealed serious vulnerabilities that must be addressed and raises questions about the 2020 election in Arizona.”

“We can report hat there are problematic system-wide issues that relate to early ballot handling and verification. The early ballot signature verification system in Maricopa County is insufficient to guard against abuse,” Brnovich wrote.

Below is Trump’s statement as he responded to the report:

Attorney General Brnovich of Arizona was given massive information on the fraud and so-called ‘irregularities’ that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election. Many people said that he would do nothing about it because that just seems to be the way he is. I felt differently because the numbers and sheer amount of crime committed is so compelling, irrefutable, and determinative – the election result would be entirely different.

- Holy One, You are the Author and Finisher of all things.  As we continue to anticipate justice over the fraudulent elections, may we be stirred to pray all the more intentionally.  Let us ask You, our Just Judge, to intervene and compel truth and consequences forward over each one of these unrighteous state elections.

- "'As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the Lord our God that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth."  (Daniel 9:13)

9. Biden tells Obama he's running in 2024: Report - Washington Examiner

President Joe Biden has reportedly told former President Barack Obama that he plans to run for reelection.
The president's desire to seek a second term is fueled by the belief that he is the only Democratic candidate who could beat former President Donald Trump, sources told the Hill. Biden has said publicly he plans to run again, but the report signals he's serious by directly telling one of the highest-profile members of the Democratic Party of his intentions.

“[Biden] wants to run, and he’s clearly letting everyone know,” one of the sources said. "I believe he thinks he’s the only one who can beat Trump. I don’t think he thinks there’s anyone in the Democratic Party who can beat Trump, and that’s the biggest factor."

It's not clear when Biden spoke to Obama about the decision to run, though the former president made an appearance at the White House earlier this month to commemorate 12 years of Obamacare. (Read more)

- Jesus, we put Joe Biden into Your holy hands and ask You to put him right where he needs to be so that he can do no further harm to this nation.  There is precious little chance he would be capable of running for office in two more years, but we ask You to deal with the tyranny within our government and bring forth strong, trustworthy men and women of God who will release the glory and truth in DC, in Jesus name.

- "'Then they will answer, "Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them."'" (2 Chronicles 7:22)

10. Multiple airlines, Amtrak to drop mask requirements - The Hill

Multiple airlines along with Amtrak on Monday evening moved to make masks optional on their transit systems following a federal court decision that effectively ended the federal transportation mask mandate.

United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines and JetBlue Airways all announced that masks would be optional for both passengers and employees as well as in airports. Amtrak also announced that it would make masks optional for its guests and train employees.

“Due to a judicial decision in our federal court system, the mask mandate has been overturned, which means our guests and employees have the option to wear a mask while traveling in the U.S. and at work,” Alaska Airlines said in a statement. (Read more)

- Oh HalleluJah!  This is such good news.  For every person who wishes to wear a mask, they have full permission and Lord, we pray for them to be respectful of those who do not.  May this manufactured division between people over the masks or vaxxes be brought under Your authority.  We pray for the goodness of God to prevail in relationships with others, especially in order to share the light and love of Christ.  We put a seal on this decision that it may never be renewed, in Jesus name.

- "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."  (2 Corinthians 1:3-4

War On Faith

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 19, 2022

As wars and rumors of wars swirl around us and we a pummeled by horrific and tyrannical political policies, we as prophetic Christians have some considerations before us. Christians have been engaged in a war against our faith for over a generation. And for the most part, we have been witnesses–not witnesses as in standing in the gap for righteousness, but rather witnesses in the sense of watching our once Godly nation blessed by the true Liberty of the Lord dissolve into the bondage of sin in the name of humanist freedom. We have seemed too content to overlook this painful truth, and listen to the song of that sinful siren as she transforms our nation and citizens from light into darkness.

Galatians 5:1 says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” The bondage spoken herein is the bondage of satanic-driven sin from which Christ’s death and resurrection freed all believers. Yet, in the name of freedom, it is the humanist sin that threatens to wrap itself around the very existence of this nation and squeeze its lifeblood. Is this the lot of Christians, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for the Liberty of Christ? Are we disposed to be among the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern our salvation and the eternal life of others? Read More

'Fire rainbows' enthrall residents in North Carolina
on Good Friday
It wasn't a rainbow, but it was a brilliant atmospheric display that had residents doing a double take when they saw it in the sky.

Western North Carolina residents were treated to a colorful atmospheric phenomenon on the afternoon of Apr. 15, Good Friday. Photos shared on social media showed what is known colloquially as a "fire rainbow" or, as people posting on Twitter referred to them, "rainbow clouds."

The pre-Easter optical phenomenon is known technically a "circumhorizontal arc" and is created by sunlight reflecting off of ice crystals. To see this ice halo, the sun needs to be more than 58 degrees high in the sky, and high cirrus clouds or jet contrails must be present to bring this spectacular display to life.

A very delicate balance in the atmosphere is required for this effect to be achieved.

The hexagonal, plate-shaped ice crystals inside the cirrus clouds also need to be aligned horizontally, so that the light entering through the vertical side of the crystals refracts, bends, and exits through the horizontal bottom. This disperses the light into the seven colors of the spectrum, similar to what we see in a rainbow. It's Still Anchored and Undamaged. What Does That Tell You?'

TX Church's Cross Survives EF-3 Tornado Strike
A pastor in Salado, Texas pointed out something truly remarkable after an EF-3 tornado tore through his community last week. A large wooden cross remained in place on the wall, still hanging above the remains of the damaged church building.  Residents are still cleaning up after a tornado barreled through their small community, injuring more than 23 people while flattening 61 homes and destroying two church buildings. According to the National Weather Service, the tornado was on the ground for at least 30 minutes and with a track that measured 13 miles long. The twister also had maximum wind speeds that reached 165 mph.

No one was in the church building when the tornado struck. But one thing did stand out after the storm. The church's large cross was still hanging in the building, WFAA reported. Even though the roof above it had collapsed, the cross still stood high on a wall overlooking the destruction. "Sometimes you want to question why things like this happen. And then one of the scriptures came to my mind. We know that 'all things work together for good'," Jackson told the station as he quoted part of the New Testament's Romans 8:25, his voice breaking. "It's still anchored and has not been damaged. What does that tell you?" he said.

On Wednesday, just one day after the storms struck central Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) declared Bell and Williamson counties as disaster areas. Abbott visited Salado on Saturday and made it a point to stop by the Cedar Valley church to meet Jackson and other church members. He later tweeted a video of his visit. "This is Governor Greg Abbott in Bell County. I'm on the ground in a slab that a few days ago, a church was here. The one thing remaining from the church is this cross," he said. "Around us, you can see rubble from the devastation of what happened to the church. The cross survived," he said. "The pastor of this church made clear that the church still survives because the church is far more than just a building. The church is the people who are congregants in that building. The people who are brought together by God himself. So the church physically may be gone. But the church in reality still remains." (CBN) Read more

Come and Dine

Words: Charles Widmeyer
Music: S. H. Bolton

Scripture: Come and dine. John 21:12

Lyrics:
Jesus has a table spread
Where the saints of God are fed,
He invites His chosen people,
Come and dine;
With His manna He doth feed
And supplies our every need:
O ’tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time!

Refrain
Come and dine, the Master calleth,
Come and dine;
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time;
He who fed the multitude,
Turned the water into wine,
To the hungry calleth now,
Come and dine.

The disciples came to land,
Thus obeying Christ’s command,
For the Master called unto them,
Come and dine;
There they found their heart’s desire,
Bread and fish upon the fire;
Thus He satisfies the hungry every time.

Refrain

Soon the Lamb will take His bride
To be ever at His side,
All the host of Heaven will assembled be;
O ’twill be a glorious sight,
All the saints in spotless white;
And with Jesus they will feast eternally.

Refrain
