Whitmer ditches Dem playbook on Trump's tariffs amid 2028 speculation
While most Democrats have rejected President Donald Trump throughout his second term, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer bucked the party line during a trip to Washington Wednesday amid speculation about her 2028 campaign aspirations. Democratic governors, many rumored to harbor 2028 presidential ambitions, spoke out against Trump's tariffs this week as governors JB Pritzker and Gavin Newsom worked independently with trade partners to try to soften the damage to their state economies. Whitmer's diplomatic moves put her out of step with her party, and the verdict is still out on how it will affect her politically down the line.

Brad Bannon, a Democratic strategist and the president of Bannon Communications Research, told Fox News Digital dialogue with Trump is critical to Whitmer delivering for Michigan, particularly through the uncertainty of Trump's tariff deals. But he said Whitmer, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, getting too close to Trump could jeopardize her status as a "first-tier presidential candidate," alongside governors Josh Shapiro, Andy Beshear and Newsom.  "This is a double-edged sword," Bannon said. "She has to have an open dialogue with the president, but at the same time, if she's going to win the Democratic presidential nomination or have a chance to win it, she is going to have to be very critical of Trump." (Fox News) Read More Here
- Father, we CELEBRATE this amazing 'turn-around' with Governor Gretchen Whitmer's support of President Trump, as she recognized his sincere intention to help the State of Michigan. May this positive, open-dialog between Gov. Whitmer and President Trump cause other liberal states to come alongside our Administration's efforts to 'Make America Great Again'.  We ask for blessing upon each intercessor in Michigan and those who have stood on the wall, praying without ceasing, for the Governor. We rejoice in seeing the mighty move of God's hand through answered prayer and pray for continual relationship of mutual respect, between Governor Whitmer and President Trump. May our nation acknowledge  the growing need for taking steps towards building unity as One Nation under God! By the powerful Name and Blood of Jesus Christ- Amen.

Police arrest man for ‘arson’ at top
US Democrat’s residence

US police said Sunday they had arrested a man for alleged arson and “terrorism” after an attack at the official residence of Democratic heavyweight and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

Shapiro, widely viewed as a potential 2028 presidential contender, was inside with his family when the fire broke out in a different part of the Georgian-style mansion in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, state police said.

“While the fire was successfully extinguished, it caused a significant amount of damage to a portion of the residence,” the force said in a statement. No casualties were reported.

Shapiro said that he and his sleeping family were woken up by a police trooper who “banged on our door” at around 2:00 am local time (0600 GMT) and that they were evacuated from the building.

“Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished,” he said.

Speaking to reporters outside the residence, a broken window blackened by the fire visible behind him, Shapiro made a forceful appeal for an end to political violence.

“This kind of violence is becoming far too common in our society, and I don’t give a damn if it’s coming from one particular side or the other… it is not OK, and it has to stop,” he said.

Shapiro, who is Jewish, held a ceremony with family and friends earlier in the night to mark the first night of the Passover holiday. (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord God, we pray for the safety and protection over all of our United States representatives and service people serving our country every single day. We thank you that this investigation has been swift and that accountability would be had to those responsible. And we cancel all divisions, terrorism, schemes, and plans to cause harm to our nation, in Jesus' name, amen.

Trump warns no country ‘off the hook’ on tariffs

Stock markets on Monday welcomed US tariff exemptions for electronics, but President Donald Trump signalled the reprieve would be temporary and warned no country would get “off the hook” in his trade war — especially China.

The world’s two largest economies have been locked in a fast-moving game of brinkmanship since Trump launched a global tariff assault that particularly targeted Chinese imports.

Tit-for-tat exchanges have seen US levies imposed on China rise to 145 percent, and Beijing setting a retaliatory 125 percent band on US imports.

The US side had appeared to dial down the pressure slightly on Friday, listing tariff exemptions for smartphones, laptops, semiconductors and other electronic products for which China is a major source.

But Trump and some of his top aides said Sunday that the exemptions had been misconstrued and would only be temporary as his team pursued fresh tariffs against many items on the list.

“NOBODY is getting ‘off the hook’… especially not China which, by far, treats us the worst!” he posted on his Truth Social platform.

The Chinese commerce ministry said Friday’s move was only “a small step” and all tariffs should be cancelled.

Chinese President Xi Jinping warned Monday — as he kicked off a Southeast Asia tour with a visit to Vietnam — that protectionism “will lead nowhere” and a trade war would “produce no winner”.

China has sought to present itself as a stable alternative to an erratic Washington, courting countries spooked by the global economic storm. (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord, please help all American citizens understand the point of the tariffs, which is to ultimately cut out the middleman and expose how Americans have been getting ripped off for years. Help us realize that this incentivizes American companies to do business in our own country, bringing more prosperity to our economy and to our citizens. While changes may hurt in the beginning, the long-term effects will bring us more security and prosperity. Please give our elected officials wisdom as they deal with this difficult and challenging time, in Jesus' name, amen.

- “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”  (Isaiah 30:21)

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Secures ‘First and Free’ Passage for U.S. Ships in Panama Canal

PANAMA CITY, Panama — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had one mission on his trip to Panama — to secure a deal to get “first and free” passage for U.S. ships in the Panama Canal, a critical waterway for the United States’ economy and military that was at risk of falling under China’s control.

As the secretary and his team flew the down from Washington on Monday evening to meet with Panama’s leaders, such a deal with Panama was far from certain.

While the U.S. had built the canal in the early 1900s and maintained it for decades before handing it over to Panama, China had in recent years poured money into projects and infrastructure attached to it. As a passageway between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans that handles more than 40 percent of U.S. maritime trade, if China were able to close the canal, it would be a catastrophe for the U.S.

Trump touted the deal during his Joint Address to Congress. The Chinese government then launched an investigation into the deal to delay it. Now, it was up to Hegseth to secure U.S. ships’ “first and free” passage through the canal.

By all measures, the trip was a resounding success.  Asked by Breitbart News if he had accomplished everything he wanted to on the trip, a triumphant Hegseth responded, “This trip not only met but exceeded our expectations. A warm welcome from Panama. Great partnership. Spent a lot of time with their troops. I want to thank Panama for what they’ve done in the Darien Gap as well.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord, thank You for leaders who care about the safety of our families and our communities. We ask that You protect the men and women who have been tasked with enforcing the law, especially at the Panama Canal. And we continue to pray that You would give all our elected officials wisdom as they continue to shape policy and procedures for the good of our people. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

- “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.” (James 3:13)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Report: This is the ceasefire deal Israel presented to Hamas - Israel National News

The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen channel, which is close to the Hamas terrorist organization, published the alleged details of the Israeli offer presented to Hamas today in Cairo. According to the offer, Hamas must release hostage Edan Alexander, who holds American citizenship, on the first day, as a "special gesture" for the United States.

The offer, which includes a 45-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of nine living hostages and six dead hostages, is conditional on the disarmament of the Gaza Strip.

On the second day, Hamas will release five living hostages in exchange for 66 prisoners serving life sentences and another 611 terrorists from Gaza. The hostages will be released without any show of force or ceremonies like the ones Hamas staged during the hostage releases of the January ceasefire deal.

According to the report, the offer requires means for distributing aid that both sides will agree on, which would allow the aid to reach civilians only and not be hoarded by Hamas as has been much of the aid that entered Gaza over the last 18 months. (Read more)

2. No Breakthrough in Gaza Talks, Egyptian and Palestinian Sources Say - Algemeiner

The latest round of talks in Cairo to restore the defunct Gaza ceasefire and free Israeli hostages ended with no apparent breakthrough, Palestinian and Egyptian sources said on Monday.

The sources said Hamas had stuck to its position that any agreement must lead to an end to the war in Gaza.

Israel, which restarted its military campaign in Gaza last month after a ceasefire agreed in January unraveled, has said it will not end the war until Hamas is stamped out. The terrorist group has ruled out any proposal that it lay down its arms.

But despite that fundamental disagreement, the sources said a Hamas delegation led by the group’s Gaza Chief Khalil Al-Hayya had shown some flexibility over how many hostages it could free in return for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel should a truce be extended. (Read more)

3. Israel expands Gaza buffer zone amid Passover offensive - JNS

Israel has expanded its buffer zone inside the Gaza Strip as part of a broader military campaign aimed at pressuring Hamas into releasing hostages.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Sunday that “hundreds of thousands of [Palestinian] residents have already evacuated,” and “tens of percent of Gaza’s territory have become part of Israel’s security areas.”

“The main goal is to exert heavy pressure on Hamas for it to return to the framework of a hostage release,” Katz added. “As long as Hamas persists in its refusal, the IDF activity will intensify.”

Over the weekend and into Monday, the Israel Defense Forces carried out extensive strikes across Gaza, attacking more than 90 targets. These included Hamas command centers, rocket launch sites, weapons storage facilities and armed cells. (Read more)

4. Ex-Mossad members, paratroopers, medics join call for hostage deal even if it ends war - Times of Israel

Former Mossad members, along with ex-IDF paratroopers, doctors and graduates of an elite military program were the latest to throw their support behind a letter signed by air force veterans and reservists, which called for the government to prioritize the return of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, even at the cost of ending the war.

The over-250 signatories to the Mossad letter released Sunday, which was organized by former top hostage negotiator David Meidan, included former chiefs of the security service Danny Yatom, Efraim Halevy and Tamir Pardo.

“We believe the continuation of the fighting endangers the lives of the hostages and our soldiers, and that all options to reach a deal that will bring an end to the suffering must be exhausted,” the letter stated. “We call on the government to make brave decisions and act responsibly for the security of the country and its citizens.” (Read more)

5.  100,000 Flock to Israeli National Parks for Passover Festivities - Algemeiner

i24 News – As the Passover holiday began, Israelis turned to nature to celebrate, with nearly 100,000 visitors flocking to the country’s national parks and nature reserves over the weekend.

From north to south, families and travelers embraced the spring weather and Israel’s rich natural and historical sites.

In the north, Banias, Arbel, Ein Afek, and Caesarea National Park drew large crowds, while central Israel’s Tel Afek and Beit Guvrin, and southern sites such as Ein Gedi, Matzok HaTzinim, and the iconic Masada, were popular destinations.

Camping was also a major draw, with 1,100 people spending the night before the holiday at Nature and Parks Authority campsites. Horshat Tal, Mamshit, and Be’erot were the most visited overnight spots. (Read more)

1. Donald Trump authorizes U.S. military to take control of land on southern border - USA Today

President Donald Trump is authorizing the U.S. military to take jurisdiction over federal lands along the southern border to help enforce his immigration agenda.

Trump issued a memorandum to the secretaries of Defense, Interior, Agriculture and Homeland Security late Friday titled "Military Mission for Sealing the Southern Border of the United States and Repelling Invasions."

The order directs the secretaries to facilitate the transfer of jurisdiction over federal land along the border so military activity along the border can "occur on a military installation under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense." (Read more)

- Thank you, Lord, for this authorization to the United States military to control our border.

- "And violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders; you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise." (Isaiah 60:18)

2. President Trump exempts smartphones, computers, microchips from new tariffs - USA Today

The Trump administration exempted smartphones, computers and other electronic imports from President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs, softening the impact the duties could have on the cost of many popular tech products in the U.S.

The carve-outs, published late Friday in updated guidance from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, include electronic imports made in China, which Trump has targeted with 125% reciprocal tariffs. Hard drives, memory chips, flat-panel television screens and semiconductors are also among the excluded products.

The move marks a significant pivot in Trump's aggressive tariff policy amid an escalating trade war between the U.S. and China. The Trump administration has said China is not among the 75 countries that have approached the U.S. seeking trade deals following Trump's round of reciprocal tariffs announced last week. - Lord, we just pray that China would come to the negotiating table with President Trump. And we pray for a deal to be made. We speak success and prosperity to our economy..

- "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

3. Federal Judge Allows Immigration Enforcement in Churches - Christianity Today

A federal judge on Friday declined to block the new Trump administration policy allowing immigration authorities to carry out arrests at “sensitive locations” like churches and other religious spaces.

Twenty-seven Christian and Jewish groups had sued, saying the new policy violated their religious freedom under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act

The new policy went into effect January 20 at the start of President Donald Trump’s term and reverses 30 years of federal policy to avoid houses of worship for immigration enforcement. The first Trump administration forbade enforcement at a “place of worship or religious study.” (Read more)

- Lord, we pray over this immigration enforcement in churches. As we seek to understand some of these decisions, we trust that You are leading.

4. White House moves Obama portrait for painting depicting Trump assassination attempt - The Hill

A portrait of President Trump that depicts him raising his fist immediately following the attempt on his life last summer at a Butler, Pa., rally is replacing an image of former President Obama in a prominent spot inside the White House.

Dan Scavino, the White House deputy chief of staff, posted side-by-side photos on social media of the Trump artwork seemingly replacing the Obama painting on Friday at the bottom of the Grand Staircase.

The artwork of the 47th president shows him bloodied with an American flag waving behind him after he survived the assassination attempt last July. A White House spokesperson didn’t immediately return a request for comment about the artist behind the painting. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank you for protecting President Trump regarding that assassination attempt, and we thank You that his sacrifice and bravery has been depicted in this artwork.

5. US ‘demands control’ from Ukraine of key pipeline carrying Russian gas - The Guardian

The US has demanded control of a crucial pipeline in Ukraine used to send Russian gas to Europe, according to reports, in a move described as a colonial shakedown.

US and Ukrainian officials met on Friday to discuss White House proposals for a minerals deal. Donald Trump wants Kyiv to hand over its natural resources as “payback” in return for weapons delivered by the previous Biden administration.

Talks have become increasingly acrimonious, Reuters said. The latest US draft is more “maximalist” than the original version from February, which proposed giving Washington $500bn worth of rare metals, as well as oil and gas.

Citing a source close to the talks, the news agency said the most recent document includes a demand that the US government’s International Development Finance Corporation take control of the natural gas pipeline. (Read more)

- Lord, We continue to pray for wisdom and strategies with Ukraine and Russia. We pray over this demand to control the key pipeline, carrying gas to Russia. We pray thy will be done, in Jesus' name, amen!

6. Iran’s FM says nuclear talks to continue next weekend after first round of discussions - Times of Israel

Neither Iran nor the United States want talks that “drag on forever,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says after a first round of discussions with US envoy Steve Witkoff.

“Neither we nor the other party want fruitless negotiations, discussions for discussions’ sake, time wasting or talks that drag on forever,” Araghchi tells Iranian state television, adding that the next round of talks was set for next Saturday.

He adds that the location of next weekend’s talks may not be in Oman, but will still take place under Omani intermediation. (Read more)

The Daily Jot

Transforming from Corruptible to Incorruptible

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 14, 2025

The Apostle John tells us “And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours’ only, but also for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:1-2).” This wonderful mystery of God provides a path to eternal life free of condemnation for whosoever believes in Christ (John 3). This is an incorruptible inheritance obtained through the resurrection of Christ (1 Peter 1:3-4). This gift of salvation has its roots in the sacrificial system established by God soon after the Israelites were led out of Egyptian slavery. The sacrifice of Christ, culminating with His resurrection, not only fulfilled the law and prophets, but also gave eternal life for those who believe.

Leviticus 6:1(8)-8:36 lays out the rules for the five types of sacrifices required by God. The Olah, “ascending offering,” was a freewill sacrifice consumed on the altar keeping the altar fire ever burning. The Minchah, “meal offering,” a freewill sacrifice of fine flour prepared with olive oil and frankincense. The meal offerings were expressions of humility before God, often being the only offering the poor could afford. The Shelamim, “peace offering,” a freewill offering given to express thankfulness for a happy event, represented relationship, fellowship and peace between God and man. The Shalmei Todah, “thank offering,” thanked the LORD for deliverance from some kind of danger. Chatat, “sin offering,” atoned for unintentional sins. There is no sacrifice for intentional sin. Asham, “guilt offering,” is required for certain sin, such as theft or false witness. Read More

EXCLUSIVE: Jon Husted Is Ready To Get To Work — In The Senate And On The Campaign Trail

Republican Ohio Sen. Jon Husted — less than 12 weeks after taking the oath of office in January — is already gearing up for a bid to retain his seat with President Donald Trump fully behind him.

Husted spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation on Friday about his first months as a U.S. senator and Trump’s endorsement of his candidacy for a 2026 special election contest. He’s been a stalwart vote in supporting the president’s nominees and legislative agenda thus far and has cast himself as a problem solver eager to get involved in the legislative process on behalf of Ohioans. (RELATED: Senate GOP Advances Tax Cuts, Border Security Spending After Marathon Session)

“I’m glad to be part of the Trump team, glad to be part of the Republican team, and will continue to fight for the people of Ohio, as I have done during my time in public service,” Husted told the DCNF.

Republican Ohio Governor Mike DeWine appointed Husted, who had served as DeWine’s lieutenant governor for six years, in January to fill Vice President JD Vance’s former Senate seat. Husted was sworn in Jan. 21, the same day as Republican Florida Sen. Ashley Moody who succeeded Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Husted has joined the Republican conference in embarking on the busiest Senate session in recent memory. The Senate of the Congress that began in January has cast more votes than any Senate over the same time frame dating back to when Ronald Reagan was president, according to the Senate Republicans Communications Center. Senate Republicans are also confirming the president’s nominees more quickly than three prior administrations.

“This is a record pace,” Husted told the DCNF. “Yet in spite of the fact that the Democrats have tried to hold us up in every turn, we’ve been working overtime to get it [the Trump agenda] accomplished. No matter what the Democrats do to try to stop us, we’re just going to stay there until we get the job done.” (Daily Caller) Read more here.

- Lord God, whenever a member of the Senate moves to the position of Vice-President of the United States, the Constitution requires this action. We ask that You would grace Senator Jon Husted as he works to fill this vacant seat. We ask the You, dear Lord, would lead him and guide him in the way he should go. In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake."

White House plans 'extraordinary' Holy Week as Trump honors Easter with 'the observance it deserves'

EXCLUSIVE: The White House is gearing up for an "extraordinary" celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter, with President Donald Trump participating in a number of events to celebrate and honor the holiday "with the observance it deserves."

The new White House Faith Office organized the Holy Week schedule.

"The newly created White House Faith Office is grateful to share that President Trump will honor and celebrate Holy Week and Easter with the observance it deserves," Jennifer Korn, faith director of the White House Faith Office, told Fox News Digital.

"Throughout the week, we will distribute a Holy Week proclamation, a special presidential video message (and) host a pre-Easter dinner and White House staff Easter service."

On Palm Sunday, the president is expected to issue a presidential Easter proclamation that will speak directly to Christians as Holy Week begins and maintain his commitment to defend the Christian faith in schools, in the military, in workplaces, hospitals, in government and beyond.

On Monday, the president is expected to release a Holy Week video and will host an Easter dinner Wednesday evening. The dinner will feature hymns from the Marine Corps Band, Christian opera by singer Charles Billingsley, prayers and remarks from President Trump.

On Holy Thursday, the president is expected to host a staff worship service at the White House, where White, the Rev. Franklin Graham, Pastor Greg Laurie and Pastor Jentezen Franklin will participate in prayer, scripture, service and communion. During the service, an ensemble from Liberty University will perform worship music.

"President Trump promised millions of Christians across the country that he would create a White House Faith Office, and he delivered on that promise," Leavitt said. "The White House Faith Office has put together an extraordinary weeklong celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter Sunday." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, Holy One, we can only shout "HALLELUJAH" as we read all of this amazing news!

We thank You, O Lord, for giving us a President who will defend religious freedom both here and around the world! We are also blessed to see that President Trump will not hold back, but will be open about sharing his own faith with the American people. Thank you, thank you, thank you, dear Lord! In Your name, amen and amen!

- " ... in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."   (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
- Please note: we also ran this story in yesterday's Good News report, but today's article
shows much more news about this weeklong event.  Also, we just can't stop shouting the
GOOD NEWS! Thank you!
President Trump's Holy Week Message

"This Holy Week, Melania and I join in prayer with Christians celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ — the living Son of God who conquered death, freed us from sin, and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all of humanity.

Beginning with Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and culminating in the Paschal Triduum, which begins on Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord's Supper, followed by Good Friday, and reaching its pinnacle in the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night. This week is a time of reflection for Christians to memorialize Jesus' crucifixion—and to prepare their hearts, minds, and souls for His miraculous Resurrection from the dead.

During this sacred week, we acknowledge that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross. In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation. Through His suffering, we have redemption. Through His death, we are forgiven of our sins. Through His Resurrection, we have hope of eternal life. On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and light prevails over darkness — signaling that death does not have the final word.

This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government. We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.

As we focus on Christ's redeeming sacrifice, we look to His love, humility, and obedience — even in life's most difficult and uncertain moments. This week, we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our beloved Nation. We pray that America will remain a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom for the entire world, and we pray to achieve a future that reflects the truth, beauty, and goodness of Christ's eternal kingdom in Heaven.

May God bless you and your family during this special time of year and may He continue to bless the United States of America."
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

(Isaiah 42:13)

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem dates back to the fourth century.
Excavation near site where Jesus was crucified and buried results in ancient discovery

Proof of an ancient garden, consistent with biblical scripture, has emerged at the holiest site in Christianity — and an archaeologist says "many surprises" from the site are in the works.

Archaeologists excavating the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the ancient church in Jerusalem situated where Jesus Christ was crucified and buried, recently found evidence of ancient olive trees and grapevines. The specimens date back roughly 2,000 years.

The discovery echoes the New Testament verse John 19:41, "Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid."

Francesca Stasolla, an archaeology professor at the Sapienza University of Rome, confirmed the findings with Fox News Digital on Wednesday. She said the proof of the ancient garden came in the form of seeds and pollen.

Calvary, the site where the church stands, had multiple uses in ancient times, including being used as a quarry.

While the exact age of the organic material has yet to be determined, Stasolla said the pollen and seeds date back "in between the use of the quarry and the Roman age, when the area had a funerary use."

"The quarry had to be gradually abandoned and as the stone extraction ended it was used for agricultural areas and tombs," Stasolla said. "This must have been what it looked like in the 1st century A.D." Read More
