White House plans 'extraordinary' Holy Week as Trump honors Easter with 'the observance it deserves'
|
|
EXCLUSIVE: The White House is gearing up for an "extraordinary" celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter, with President Donald Trump participating in a number of events to celebrate and honor the holiday "with the observance it deserves." The new White House Faith Office organized the Holy Week schedule. "The newly created White House Faith Office is grateful to share that President Trump will honor and celebrate Holy Week and Easter with the observance it deserves," Jennifer Korn, faith director of the White House Faith Office, told Fox News Digital.
Throughout the week, we will distribute a Holy Week proclamation, a special presidential video message (and) host a pre-Easter dinner and White House staff Easter service." Korn said it "will be a special time of prayer and worship at the White House to be shared with Americans celebrating the week leading up to Resurrection Sunday." On Palm Sunday, the president is expected to issue a presidential Easter proclamation that will speak directly to Christians as Holy Week begins and maintain his commitment to defend the Christian faith in schools, in the military, in workplaces, hospitals, in government and beyond. On Monday, the president is expected to release a Holy Week video and will host an Easter dinner Wednesday evening. The dinner will feature hymns from the Marine Corps Band, Christian opera by singer Charles Billingsley, prayers and remarks from President Trump. (Fox News) BE SURE TO Read More Here!

- Abba Father, we rejoice and lift praise for President Trump's observance of Holy Week in our nation! May blessings pour over him for honoring You and Christian faith across America. We repent for President Biden's declaration last year, proudly announcing Resurrection Sunday as 'Transgender Day of Visibility'. We declare holy renewal and restoration back into our Land. May Your GLORY fall upon our nation as America proclaims REBIRTH and FREEDOM though Jesus Christ- The Name above all names! In the Blood of Yeshua- Amen.

Passover 2025: Celebrating Our Redemption While Still in Captivity
|
|
A Passover seder is a multi-sensory experience, including a variety of traditions related to and recounting the redemption of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt some 3500 years ago to freedom as recounted in the Book of Exodus. This week, Jews around the world will celebrate Passover, and participate in elaborate Seder meals, during which we recount and thank God for redeeming us.
We ask four questions relating to how we tell the story of the Exodus to four different kinds of children, drink four cups of wine, eat matza and other foods connected to and representative of our slavery and freedom, and more. One other tradition is that we also are to put ourselves in the shoes (or sandals) of Jewish slaves in Egypt, through these experiences and others, as if we were also slaves.
This year again, the issue of experiencing slavery and redemption is more real than recent years, with 59 hostages still suffering inhuman conditions in captivity by Hamas in Gaza, 24 of whom are believed to be alive. It’s been 553 days since they were taken captive: Israeli Jews and Arabs, and people from dozens of other nations.
For the hostages and their loved ones, 553 days may feel like 3500 years. Sadly, we don’t all go into this holiday with a feeling of complete redemption.
This year, thousands of Israeli families are grieving loved ones who have been killed in the past 18 months, and who will not be home for Seder, or ever again. Many are suffering physical injuries and trauma associated with the Hamas attack and massacre, and the war that followed and is still raging.
Admittedly, it’s hard to be joyous and celebrating, without at least an awareness of the loss and trauma others have had to experience, or that we are suffering as a nation. Despite this, there are many blessings to celebrate, and we cannot ever lose sight of the divine miracles that we experienced as a people 3500 years ago. At probably the most traumatic time for Israel and the Jewish people, its important to remember that even in the ghettos and concentration camps of Nazi Europe, Jews did anything possible to celebrate God’s miracles.
One thing is for sure, we are definitely in need of miracles now. This year, our celebration can even be a prayer with our whole bodies, knowing that no matter how difficult things may get, or be, God still has an eternal covenant with the Jewish people.
|
|
- Abba, we remember the 59 hostages that are still entrapped in Gaza, with perhaps only 25 who are still alive. We beseech you that you will orchestrate circumstances so that ALL the hostages are rescued and returned home to their loved ones. May the IDF mount up a rescue operation! May those who are holding them captive have a CHANGE of HEART and GIVE THEM UP! Please comfort their loved ones who are suffering in this great loss! Please comfort all the Israelis in this national trauma. In Yeshua's name, amen!
“Comfort, yes, comfort My people!”
Says your God. “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her,
That her warfare is ended,
That her iniquity is pardoned; (Isaiah 40:1-2)

Delegates from Iran, US Holding Talks in Oman Amid Ongoing Tensions: What to Know
|
|
Delegates from the United States and Iran are holding talks in Oman on Saturday in a delicate effort to restart negotiations over Tehran’s controversial nuclear program.
The talks, between a mediator to Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff, come nearly seven years after President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew the U.S. from Tehran's nuclear deal with world powers in 2018. Since then, indirect talks between the two adversaries have made zero progress.
Trump has imposed new sanctions on the Islamic Republic as part of his "maximum pressure" campaign and has suggested military action remained a possibility. Despite this, the president has said he still believed a new deal could be reached by writing a letter to Iran's 85-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which he sent early last month.
"They threaten to commit acts of mischief, but we are not entirely certain that such actions will take place," the supreme leader said. "We do not consider it highly likely that trouble will come from the outside. However, if it does, they will undoubtedly face a strong retaliatory strike."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei called such threats against Iran "a shocking affront to the very essence of International Peace and Security."
"Violence breeds violence, peace begets peace. The US can choose the course...; and concede to CONSEQUENCES," he wrote on X. Read more

Father of Justice, pretty words cannot undo the terrible actions and plans of the Iranian regime. We bind them in the Mighty Name of Jesus and ask for Your work to change their activities and protect the world from their evil.

Judge: HAMAS Booster Mahmoud Khalil Can Be Deported
|
|
A federal judge has ruled that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has the legal authority to cancel the visa held by Mahmoud Khalil, a foreign visitor who led pro-Hamas protests at a New York university.
But Khalil will be allowed his day in court to argue against his expulsion, the judge told the crowded courtroom on Friday afternoon.
Many Democrat-aligned, pro-migration activists are using free speech laws to defend Khalil.
But Khalil led protests at Columbia University against Israel’s counter-offensive against Hamas’s atrocious murder of roughly 1,000 Israeli civilians in October 2023.
To justify the expulsion, Rubio cited an existing law that allows him to cancel visas held by foreigners.
His deputies told the court that “The public actions and continued presence of … Khalil in the United States undermine U.S. policy to combat anti-semitism around the world.”Read more

Lord, this person was instrumental in the pro-Hamas protests in the US. We thank You for this ruling and ask that he be removed quickly, and come to a knowledge of Your truth through repentance.
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday attacked a Hamas command-and-control center in the area of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, where numerous terrorists were planning to carry out attacks, according to the military.
Steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
Hours earlier, the IDF attacked a Hamas command center in Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City. The compound was used to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and troops, said the army. Ahead of the operation, the IDF issued warnings in the area to prevent collateral damage. (Read more)

3. Hamas releases propaganda video showing US-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander - Times of Israel
Hamas on Saturday evening published a propaganda video showing signs of life from hostage soldier Edan Alexander, as Jews gathered in Israel and across the globe to mark the Passover holiday and its theme of freedom.
The three-minute-long video is not dated, though Alexander states that he has been held for 551 days, indicating it was filmed very recently.
Alexander, a 21-year-old US citizen, is a lone soldier who was stationed near the Gaza Strip on the morning of October 7, 2023, when he was taken captive by Hamas terrorists along with 250 other hostages. Hamas killed over 1,200 people, mostly civilians, during that attack, which sparked the ongoing war that the Israeli military is fighting against Hamas in Gaza. (Read more)

4. Families of Gaza Captives Hold Passover Meal at Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square - Algemeiner
i24 News – Families of Gaza hostages and their supporters held a public Passover Seder at Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square on Saturday night, amid reports of stalemate and foot dragging in the negotiations on the release of the remaining 59 hostages, over 20 of whom are believed to be alive.
Ahead of the Tel Aviv event, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum urged Israelis to turn out to Hostages Square outside the Tel Aviv Museum.
“Bring your holiday meal with you, bring a mat or chair, come with the kids, come with friends — let’s be together,” the statement read.
“How can we sit at the Seder table and tell the story of our journey from slavery to freedom while 59 of our brothers and sisters are still held captive by Hamas?” the Forum asked.
Karina Ariev, an IDF spotter who was released in January as part of the first phase of a ceasefire-hostage deal, urged Israelis celebrating the Seder to “leave an empty chair for the hostages, and do not forget them.” (Read more)

1. ‘I Told You Not to Doubt Us’: Johnson Celebrates Another Improbable Win for Trump’s Agenda – The Washington Stand
oy comes in the morning, the Psalmist promised, and for House leadership, that’s never been truer. After a grueling week of negotiations, and at times very bleak odds, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) was able to hold a press conference Thursday with news that very few thought possible just 24 hours earlier: the door to reconciliation had been officially unlocked.
The victory, another by-the-skin-of-their-teeth win, was especially significant for House leaders, who not only managed to corral their toughest critics on the budget blueprint but demonstrated to President Trump — and the country — that they can unify when the country depends on it. It was a far cry from where the party stood the previous night, when frenzied meetings across both sides of the Capitol failed to deliver the breakthrough Johnson was hoping for.
And yet, as a man accustomed to impossible situations, the speaker didn’t panic. While the vote carried the weight of the president’s ambitious agenda, Johnson understood that what his members were requesting — deeper spending cuts than the Senate had agreed to — wasn’t unreasonable. He postponed the vote until Thursday morning, expressing confidence that Republicans would all be singing off the same sheet of music by then. And to his detractors’ surprise, he was right. Read more

2. China Raises Tariffs to 125%, Prepares to Flood the World with Cheap Exports – Breitbart
China raised its tariff on U.S. imports to 125% on Friday in retaliation for President Donald Trump’s latest tariff increase, while making plans to dispose of its excess goods by flooding the rest of the world with cheap exports.
Trump issued an executive order on Thursday raising China’s punitive tariff rate to 125 percent, added to the 20 percent tariffs he applied in February and March over Beijing’s failure to address the fentanyl crisis, for a total effective rate of 145 percent.
The president also ordered a 90-day pause on duties for most other countries while trade negotiations are underway, provided those countries did not retaliate against his first round of tariff increases. China was conspicuously absent from the 90-day pause order.
China responded on Friday by raising tariffs on U.S. imports from 84 percent to 125 percent.
“The U.S. side’s imposition of excessively high tariffs on China seriously violates international economic and trade rules, runs counter to basic economic principles and common sense, and is simply an act of unilateral bullying and coercion,” the Chinese Finance Ministry complained.
The finance ministry said this would be the last of China’s retaliatory tariff increases, even if Trump continues to raise the rates on Chinese imports. Read more

3. US Judge Declines to Block Immigration Raids at Churches – The Epoch Times
A federal judge on April 11 declined to prevent Department of Homeland Security agents from conducting immigration raids at churches.
“At least at this juncture and on this record, the plaintiffs have not made the requisite showing of a ‘credible threat’ of enforcement,” U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia wrote in an opinion.
The ruling came in a case brought by religious groups, including the Mennonite Church USA.
The federal government’s new policy, announced after President Donald Trump took office, rescinded a policy labeling churches and schools as sensitive places, making it easier for agents to carry out immigration enforcement at these locations.
The groups said the policy unconstitutionally interferes with their exercise of religion.
“Immigration agents already have begun exercising this newfound authority to snare worshippers and other visitors at Plaintiffs’ places of worship, inflicting grave harm on Plaintiffs’ ability to freely exercise their religious beliefs and to assemble,” the plaintiffs said in a motion for a preliminary injunction, or an order blocking the policy. “Absent preliminary relief, these enforcement activities in and near sacred spaces will multiply and so, too, will the intense burden this government action places on Plaintiffs’ religious exercise.” Read more

Lord, while we hope and believe in freedom of religion, we are also aware that not everyone who attends a service is legal or safe for Your believers. We ask that you protect Your true servants and remove those who could harm them.

4. Trump Nudges Russia to ‘Get Moving’ Toward Ceasefire as Witkoff Meets with Putin – Breitbart
President Donald Trump nudged Russia on Friday to “get moving” toward a ceasefire with Ukraine, as Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.
Trump took to Truth Social, where he underscored casualties taking place in the war.
“Russia has to get moving. Too many people ere [sic] DYING, thousands a week, in a terrible and senseless war — A war that should have never happened, and wouldn’t have happened, if I were President!!!” Trump said.
The post came shortly before it was confirmed that Witkoff traveled to St. Petersburg to meet with Putin on Friday, for a third time. Read more

5. Trump Orders Land on Southern Border to Be Transferred Under Military Jurisdiction- The Western Journal
A 60-foot-wide strip of federal land along the southern border that runs through three states will be placed under military jurisdiction to help slow illegal border crossings and activities, the White House announced Friday.
The order directs the Armed Forces to temporarily take control of the Roosevelt Reservation -- a strip of land that runs along the Mexican border in California, Arizona, and New Mexico -- for security purposes, Politico reported.
Trump also authorized federal troops to operate in the area, which was established in 1907 by then-President Theodore Roosevelt.
In Trump's first term, he had authorized the military to operate in the area to support getting a comprehensive border wall built.
"Our southern border is under attack from a variety of threats," the memorandum, titled "Military Mission for Sealing the Southern Border of the United States and Repelling Invasions," read.
"The complexity of the current situation requires that our military take a more direct role in securing our southern border than in the recent past." Read more

Lord, we pray that this action will be a blessing and not a curse. We ask that any challenges to this situation be ruled in favor of the current administration. Let illegal movements of migrants cease from our borders both northern and southern.

6. Stephanopoulos deemed Biden’s appearance in July interview as ‘heartbreaking’ – Washington Examiner
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos described former President Joe Biden as “heartbreaking up close” after conducting a one-on-one interview with him in July, the latest revelation on how clear Biden’s apparent mental decline was to those close to him.
Stephanopoulos’s July interview with the then-president was held just over a week after Biden’s debate with then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, with many critical of Biden’s performance onstage. Following Biden’s debate performance, the White House sought to “stanch the bleeding” of some Democrats calling for Biden to step aside from the 2024 race. This prompted the White House team to accept the interview with Stephanopoulos, according to the new book Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History.
The book’s author, Chris Whipple, described Biden’s appearance as “hoarse and semi-coherent” during the interview, in which Stephanopoulos asked his questions “gently, like a grandson.”
“Afterward, when I asked the ABC anchor by email for his impressions, he replied: ‘Heartbreaking up close,'” Whipple wrote. Read more

US, Iran hold rare talks in Oman as envoy pushes diplomacy with pressure
|
|
American and Iranian officials sat down for a first round of direct talks Saturday in Oman, a major step after years of rising tensions and stalled diplomacy that will continue with further discussions next weekend, according to a statement released by the White House.
The meeting between U.S. Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi was the first face-to-face exchange since President Donald Trump returned to office as Iran continues to expand its nuclear program.
The White House described the discussions as "very positive and constructive," adding, "the United States deeply thanks the Sultanate of Oman for its support of this initiative."
Witkoff, joined by U.S. Ambassador to Oman Ana Escrogima, told Araghchi Trump had personally instructed him to try to resolve differences through diplomacy, if possible. (Fox News) Read more here.

Police: Someone Set Fire to Pennsylvania Governor's Residence; No One Was Injured
|
|
|
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family were evacuated overnight from the official governor’s residence after someone set fire to the building, police said Sunday.
No one was injured and the fire was extinguished, according to authorities.
The fire broke out overnight on the first night of the Jewish holiday of Passover, which Shapiro and his family had celebrated at the governor's official residence in the state capital of Harrisburg. Pennsylvania State Police said in a statement that, while the investigation was ongoing, they were “prepared to say at this time that this was an act of arson.”
Police gave no other details about the cause of the fire at the riverfront mansion, which was built in the 1960s.
In a statement, Shapiro, viewed as a potential White House contender for the Democratic Party in 2028, said he and his family woke up at about 2 a.m. to bangs on the door from the Pennsylvania State Police after the fire broke out.
The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire was called to the residence and, while they worked to put out the fire, police evacuated Shapiro and his family from the residence safely, Shapiro said.
“Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished,” Shapiro said in a statement. (Newsmax) Read more here.

Abba Father, how faithful You are to protect our governor and his
family from an evil man, bent on burning down the PA’s Governor’s
Mansion with Gov. Shapiro and his family within, sound asleep at 2:00
am. What may be even worse is that the Shapiros are faithful Jews
that had just celebrated the first night of Passover – Abba, it would
appear to be a given that the arsonist was a rabid anti-Semitic in
addition to his crime of attempted murder. We praise You that the
suspect, Cody Balmer (38; resident of Harrisburg), has been quickly
apprehended. May he be held accountable for his grievous crime, and
may anyone else who may have helped him be revealed and arrested
as well.
We ask Your continued blessing and protection over the Shapiro
family. Deliver them from mental shock and trauma; drive out any fear
as they remember that You are the God who saves and protects His
people. May their focus be on You and Your promises to Your people.
We ask for Your holy angels to surround each one. We thank You
beyond words that the angel of death PASSED OVER their home last
night. We speak Shalom over this household.
Thank You, Father, for the first responders who evacuated the family
and the firefighters that put out the blaze. Thank You especially that
the fire was detected before anyone was injured. We sane citizens of
Pennsylvania--Democrat, Independent or Republican--thank You for saving the Shapiros’ from any injury and agree that this kind of
behavior/crime has no place whatsoever in our state or nation.
Continue to show our elected leaders and officials how to deal with
any anti-Semitic persons or groups within our Commonwealth
threatening violence to Your people. Uncover any plots to bring harm.
….You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that
flies by day; Of the plague that talks in darkness, Or of the destruction
that devastates at noon….For He will give His angels orders
concerning you, To protect you in all your ways….“Because he has
loved Me, I will save him; I will set him him securely on high, because
he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I
will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. I will
satisfy him with a long life, And show him My salvation.”

NATO Chief Warns Russia Looking to Deploy Nuclear Weapons in Space
|
|
|
Russia is looking to deploy nuclear weapons in outer space to increase its influence and potentially target satellites, the head of NATO claimed.
The Kremlin has faced growing accusations of engaging in sabotage against critical Western infrastructure, such as international undersea cables, and according to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the Kremlin may have its sights on a far more significant target.
Speaking to the German Welt am Sonntag newspaper, the former Dutch Prime Minister said: “We are aware of reports that Russia is examining the possibility of placing nuclear weapons in space.”
Rutte said that Russia’s capabilities in space are “outdated” and thus the Kremlin may seek to level the playing field against Western powers by deploying nuclear weapons to space.
The head of the Western military alliance said that such weapons would likely not be used to strike targets on Earth, but rather against satellites, which in turn could cause chaos on Earth.
“Space-based systems directly affect our lifestyle, for example, ensuring that cell phones, banking services and weather forecasts work,” he said. “But space is also very important for our deterrence and defense, just as important as the areas of land, sea, air and cyberspace.”
Mr Rutte noted that deployment of nuclear weapons into space would be in violation of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, of which Russia was a signatory.
Indeed, Article IV of the Treaty states that nations are prohibited from putting into “orbit around the earth any objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other kinds of weapons of mass destruction, install such weapons on celestial bodies, or station such weapons in outer space in any other manner.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

300,000 Alaska Residents Brace for Potential
Volcano Eruption
|
|
Scientists are closely monitoring Mount Spurr, an 11,000-foot volcano located 81 miles west of Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city with nearly 300,000 residents, as underground activity suggests a possible eruption in the coming weeks or months.
Experts say the volcano’s behavior has become increasingly unstable over the past year, with a sharp rise in seismic activity, ground movement, and gas emissions – all warning signs of a possible eruption.
Powerful eruption could bring widespread ashfall
Matt Haney, lead scientist at the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO), said any eruption could be powerful, sending ash clouds as high as 50,000 feet into the air. Each ash-producing event could last up to four hours, spreading volcanic dust across Anchorage and nearby communities.
Volcanic ash poses serious health concerns. According to the International Volcanic Health Hazard Network, the fine particles can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat and may worsen conditions for those with asthma, lung disease, or heart issues.
Residents gather supplies and gear up for pets
Residents across Anchorage have begun preparing. Stores have seen a spike in demand for N95 masks, goggles, gloves, and water jugs. Pet owners are also taking precautions – buying dog booties, pet goggles, and even gas masks for their animals. Read More
