Putin swipes at US in hostile speech amid annexation of Ukraine, says it set 'precedent' for nuclear warfare
Putin says US set 'precedent' for nuclear warfare during World War II as he faces military setbacks in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin came out swinging at the U.S. on Friday in an aggressive speech as he announced the annexation of four Ukrainian regions.

In a message that was already expected to be hostile, Putin further escalated threats against Ukraine and the West by saying the U.S. set a "precedent" of nuclear warfare by hitting Japan with atomic bombs during World War II.

Fears have mounted since last week when Putin said he was "not bluffing" after he warned that Moscow would use "all weapons systems available" to defend Russian territory.

In a speech to an audience that looked scared and resolute, Putin furthered these comments Friday and said all Ukrainian citizens living in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions will now "forever" be a part of Russia and vowed to use "all available means" to protect them if those regions are attacked.

It remains unclear what type of attack would be viewed as an existential threat to Russia in those regions as brutal warfare has raged there since Russia invaded in February.

"It looks like he's in a very fighting spirit, the gloves have come off," Russia expert and former intelligence officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency, Rebekah Koffler, told Fox News Digital, describing the speech as "super aggressive."

"There's no way back it looks like for him. He is ready for the fight," she added.

Koffler said Putin has readied the groundwork to, in his view, legitimately be able to deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine as the threat of defeat mounts as the West – particularly the U.S. – deploy "superior" weaponry to Kyiv. (Fox News) Read more here.

- O Holy One! Man may have his plans, but You direct his path. We commit Vladimir Putin before Your Throne of Grace, and we issue a restraining order against any discussion of a nuclear attack as part of his strategy to take illegal control of these four regions of Ukraine. Thank You, Holy One, that You can and will move upon his heart, if we but ask You to do so. In Your Name, amen and amen.

Biden warns Putin that U.S. will defend ‘every single inch’ of NATO territory as Russia formally annexes Ukraine regions

President Joe Biden sharply warned Russian President Vladimir Putin against making any threat to NATO territory as Putin escalates his nation’s war against Ukraine.

“America’s fully prepared with our NATO allies to defend every single inch of NATO territory. Every single inch,” Biden said at the White House.

“So, Mr. Putin, don’t misunderstand what I’m saying. Every inch,” said Biden, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country is submitting an “accelerated” application to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization military alliance.

“America and its allies are not going, let me emphasize this, are not going to be intimidated by Putin and his reckless words and threats,” Biden said. (CNBC) Read more here.

- Lord God, we continue to lift up our prayers that calmer heads would now prevail in these discussions between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin. We ask that You would take control of the hearts of these and other world leaders, so they will now begin to "dial back" this rhetoric, leading the nations toward peace and not war. We ask this in Your Name, amen and amen.

- "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." (Proverbs 21:1)

VOTER GUIDES FOR EVERY STATE
  • Confused for whom to vote?
  • Do candidates have your Judeo-Christian values?
  • How would you know?
It's simple.
FIRST: Find out if your candidate signed
The Families First Pledge. If you don't see their name, maybe they were not presented the Pledge or they did not seek the faith-based community vote. Key Point: The non-negotiable social issues are as important if not more than fiscal issue only candidates.

SECOND: Use the variety of
biblical voter guides listed under your state. Contrast and compare from well-known resources to make your educated voting decision.

THIRD: Thank you for voting! And, please consider not mailing your ballot but hand-delivering it to your vote center. Chain of custody is an issue. The fewer hands are touching your ballot the safer your vote.

Pray for Senate Majority Leader Schumer
For the second time this year, on the floor of the U.S. Senate, during session, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer has correctly referred to an unborn child as a “baby.”

In describing an Arizona law from the 1860s allowed to go into effect, he decried the result saying, “You have to carry the baby all the way to term.”

Just as he did in May, he followed that up with “fetus” instead: “You have to carry the fetus all the way to term.”

Leader Schumer likes to call for, take, and praise “bold” action in the Senate.

Today, let us stand boldly before the throne of grace and call for bold action from God to move in Sen. Schumer's heart, for him to acknowledge the truth he already knows and even speaks.

It may not just be Schumer's faith that needs building; it may be ours, too.

Father, we know that Sen. Schumer's standing before you is no different than ours and vice versa: we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Some of us sin in our hearts, with our words, with our hands, and some people may have more power than others by which sin can be committed. Just as we need a Savior, we know that Sen. Schumer also needs a Savior, Who is for the Jew first, and we boldly ask you to move mightily in his heart to turn him to You, and then this Nation and his party away from the terrible evil of abortion.

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’” (Mark 9:23-24)

Pray for Sen. Schumer every day! I do. You can too!!

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
