Today's Top Story
Vance Confirms Chinese Hackers Breached His Phone
Vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) said his phone was hacked by Chinese entities that exploited infrastructure designed to spy on Americans.

Speaking during an episode of the “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Vance said that Chinese hackers breached his cellphone but that most of his messages were encrypted using third-party apps such as Signal.

“I don’t think that they got really anything. We’ll find out. Apparently they couldn’t get the encrypted messages that were sent,” Vance said.

The confirmation was made less than a week after the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) published a joint statement acknowledging an investigation into “the unauthorized access to commercial telecommunications infrastructure.”

The statement said the agencies “immediately notified affected companies, rendered technical assistance, and rapidly shared information to assist other potential victims.”

Vance claimed that the China-based hackers were able to breach his phone using back-end infrastructure originally created to accommodate the Patriot Act and FISA Section 702. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- We praise You, O Lord, that this hacking incident was found so quickly. We ask that any and all data that may have been stolen be recovered. And, as the hours now draw near to the time that the polls will open on Tuesday, we ask for an extra measure of protection to rest upon all candidates, their families and their staff, in Your Mighty Name, amen and amen!

- "No weapon forged against you shall prosper . . ."  (Isaiah 54:17)
Iran said threatening ‘definitive and painful’ response to Israel before US election

Iran will deliver a “definitive and painful” response to Israel’s recent attack on its territory, likely before the US presidential election on November 5, CNN reports, citing an anonymous senior source.

The source, who has knowledge of deliberations in Iran tells the network: “The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Zionist regime’s aggression will be definitive and painful.”

Israel has warned Tehran that any further attacks on its territory will be met with resolute action. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that You are the King of all kings and the Lord of all Lords, and that You hold Israel in the cusp of Your hand. No matter how loud the threats sound that may come from her enemy, we are blessed to know that You, Holy One, will move to protect Your own. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen!

- "For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye." (Zechariah 2:8)
North Korean troops clash with Ukrainian forces in Russia

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced on Monday that, according to Alliance information, troops from North Korea have been sent to Russia and deployed in the Kursk region bordering Ukraine.

Reports have emerged that North Korean soldiers clashed with the Ukrainian army on Friday. This was said to have taken place on October 25 in the Kursk region of Russia, which Kyiv controls. These details were provided by Jonas Ohman, head of the well-known Lithuanian non-governmental organization Blue/Yellow. The organization has been helping Ukrainian forces since 2014 and has access to firsthand information about the front line. (MSN.com) Read more here.

- Father God, as more and more we see the nations moving into end-time alignments, and as we see Scripture being fulfilled, we turn to You for strength, for comfort and for wisdom to know how we should navigate these days. We pray that Your Hand of protection would rest upon the civilians who
are on both sides of this conflict, and for an end to this war. In Your Name, we
offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven."
(Matthew 6:10)
THE GREAT ASSEMBLY
Ecclesiology: Understanding the Mystery and Unity of the Church

The study of the church, including its nature, ordinances, ministries, mission, and governmental structure, is called Ecclesiology. Evolving from the Scottish word kirk, the English word “church” derived from the Greek Kuriakos, meaning “belonging to the Lord.”[i] It is found only twice in the New Testament, an adjective applied to the Lord’s supper and the Lord’s day. The frequent word ekklesia was translated into the English expression “church” that we employ in the New Testament today.[ii] Neither Kuriakos nor ekklisa were used to refer to a building or place of gathering until the Greeks, in post-Apostolic times, substituted the term kuriakos, meaning “the Lord’s House,” to designate a church building.[iii] In the New Testament, the words used for a religious place of assembly are exclusively temple or synagogue.[iv]

The word ekklesia means “an assembly of people,” derived from the Greek ek, meaning “out from,” and kaleo, meaning “to call.” It is used in the New Testament in a general sense to describe any assembly of people, even for non-religious purposes, constantly referring to a group of people, a congregation of Christian believers, and not a building or denomination.[v] Over time, the meaning of the word ekklesia evolved into an accepted figure of speech, a metonymy, where the container is used to refer to its contents. While there is no harm in calling a sanctuary or place of worship a church, we should only do so by knowing the church's real nature.

While Paul sent instructions to local churches, he also greeted clusters of churches in geographic areas, often appointing elders or instructing those churches to appoint officers over their regions. Still, none of these groups formed any denominational identity. The word church was never attached to names of leaders or doctrinal tenants that identify distinct ecclesiastical organizations. Unfortunately, as the primary religious body departed from scripture, reformations would reject the parent system, forming separate bodies that would later become denominations.

The church on earth and in heaven was and is to be of universal unity in doctrine and organization, true believers, united in spirit and co-laboring together in their communities to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth. When Paul stipulated what many refer to as the five-fold ministries, he said, “He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-13, NKJV).[vi] And there can be no unity of faith nor a perfect man in Christ while the church remains divided. Yes, we can and should have our local congregations, but we must be one body in the spirit and the natural and strive to serve one another.

God's purposes will prevail.

The question right now is whether or not we will be the ones through which He accomplishes them.

Read through the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1 and there are a couple transitions verses tucked into a long list of names: “…about the time they were carried away to Babylon. And after they were brought to Babylon…” (vv. 11-12) and “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations.” (v. 17). In Luke 3, the genealogy of Jesus is traced further through Israel's time in Egypt, the Flood, and all the way back to Adam.

What's amazing about this is not just how much history these lists include, but how many major transitions of history this covers. Empires rose and fell repeatedly. God still accomplished His purposes with and without various kingdoms. “He removes kings and raises up kings” (Daniel 2:21). God is Faithful and True (Revelation 19:11), and that will be true no matter what happens in this country, too.

We have no known guaranteed outcomes for this election nor for the future of this country. What we do know is right now is a strategic time to press in and lay hold of God's faithfulness (Philippians 3:12) and to humbly ask Him to do and continue mighty works in this land and through us (2 Chronicles 7:14).

God will still accomplish His purposes.

Right now is the time for us to seek Him.

“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12)

Father, we first of all thank You for Your work in this Nation. We give thanks without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 2:13) for Your Word and Your Faithfulness to us. Lord, we ask You to work mightily to bring about an outcome in these next few days that not only gives You the glory but does so unmistakably. May all see the work You still have to do in this land, and bring us closer to You.
