BREAKING NEWS!

It's over, for now. The Pandemic Treaty has failed!
Pandemic treaty talks will go on after missed deadline, some progress, WHO says

LONDON (Reuters) -Talks to draw up a global pact to help fight future pandemics have ended without a draft agreement by the expected deadline, but progress has been made, the World Health Organization said on Friday.

Negotiators from the World Health Organization's (WHO) 194 member states were hoping to have a final draft agreement by the end of Friday, with a view toward adopting the legally-binding text at the World Health Assembly later this month.

But they missed that deadline and will now continue negotiations over the coming weeks ahead of the assembly, the WHO, which is hosting the member-state led negotiations, said in a statement on Friday evening.

"This is not a simple exercise," said Precious Matsoso, the co-chair of the intergovernmental negotiating body leading the talks. "Getting this done means getting it right."

The aim of the document, alongside a series of updates to existing rules on dealing with pandemics, is to shore up the world's defences against new pathogens after the COVID-19 pandemic killed millions of people.

But there have been deep disagreements throughout the negotiating process, particularly around equity, and the timeline for reaching an agreement was always ambitious, experts said. The accord has also become politicised in some countries. (The Gazette) Read more

“It's over, for now. The Pandemic Treaty has failed. The IHR amendments have 7 days to reach agreement. We are WINNING!!!
The treaty that was supposed to help the third world was just another power grab. The 100 countries getting paid off by the US to go along with pandemic preparedness were not enough to save the treaty.” (Quote from a friend)
- Father God, while we see this report as a victory for those who have been praying to see this Pandemic Treaty fail, we say PRAISE THE LORD and we thank You for those who have been so faithful to this call. Thank You, O Lord, for this answer to prayer, amen and amen!

- (From John Robb) "Praise God for His great mercy and the way He answers prayers of agreement! Thanks to you, Summer, and all at Liberty Counsel as well as the many intercessors, including our Wednesday group, that have prayed so much into this horribly menacing threat to the world! Let's keep watchful since these WHO folks with the CCP are ruthless about their bid for global domination, just like the big serpent on their logo. We also need to pray about the EU elections on June 9th through which the globalists and Freemasons (mostly interchangeable) want to strengthen their grip on Europe.

- "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!"     (Psalm 150:6)

Netanyahu Says Israel Will ‘Stand Alone’ If Needed as Biden Threatens to Hold Up Weapons Deliveries

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed his country would fight alone and by “tooth and nail” if need be after President Joe Biden threatened to stop supplying Israeli forces with certain weapons if they targeted dense population centers in the southern Gazan city of Rafah.

Mr. Netanyahu has set a goal in Israel’s military campaign in Gaza to eliminate the Hamas terrorist group, and has described Rafah as one of the group’s last major strongholds. President Biden, on the other hand, has raised concern that a large-scale military operation in Rafah risks harming Gazan civilians who have relocated to the city over the last seven months of fighting.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed at a Wednesday Senate hearing that the Biden administration had delayed delivery of a shipment of “high-payload munitions” to Israel.

“A small-diameter bomb, which is a precision weapon that’s very useful in a [densely] built-up environment, is very helpful,“ Mr. Austin said. ”But maybe not so much a 2,000-pound bomb that could create a lot of collateral damage.”

Hours after Mr. Austin’s Senate remarks, President Biden sat for an interview with CNN in which he said civilians “have been killed in Gaza as a consequence” of Israel’s use of 2,000-pound bombs. The president then reiterated his opposition to a large-scale Israeli offensive in Rafah, stating he would withhold certain types of lethal aid if Israeli forces expanded their operations there.

“If they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons,” President Biden said.

Without directly referencing the delays in U.S. arms shipments or disagreements over a Rafah assault, Mr. Netanyahu vowed in a Thursday video statement that his government would not be deterred in its war efforts.
“If we have to stand alone, we will stand alone. If we need to, we will fight tooth and nail,” Mr. Netanyahu said. “But we have much more than fingernails.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here
- Holy God, we know that Your Word is true and does not lie. We stand in the gap for Joe Biden and his foolish remarks in withdrawing our military support from Israel - especially in her time of war. We ask You to forgive him, for he knows not what he does; and we pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

- "But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37)

Ohio Lawmakers Adjourn Without Placing Biden on the State’s General Election Ballot

Ohio lawmakers adjourned on May 8 without agreeing to a plan that would put President Joe Biden on the state’s General Election ballot.

The Republican super-majority House and Senate must do so by May 9 for the president to appear on the ballot, according to Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, a Republican.

The deadline for political parties to nominate their presidential candidates is the issue in question.

According to Ohio law, the deadline is 90 days before the general election. This year, Election Day is Nov. 5, which makes the deadline   Aug. 7.

Senate President Matt Huffman, a Republican, said last month that he believes that a federal judge will order President Biden onto the Ohio ballot. He pointed out that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump would appear on the Colorado and Maine ballots because states can’t prevent federal candidates from ballot access.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, said on May 8 that President Biden will appear on the ballot through legislation or the courts and that he wants to “minimize anybody thinking that there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that this isn’t going to happen.” (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You for the gift of tongues, and we set ourselves in place to do so as we see this issue impacting the presidential election in the state of Ohio.
