"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"
Franklin Graham Warns That Omitting God From National Day of Prayer Proclamation is Dangerous

. . . instead of petitioning Almighty God, President Biden’s first National Day of Prayer proclamation petitions social justice warriors.

Not a single mention of God.

Instead, President Biden called on Americans to use prayer to fight against racial injustice, child labor and the infringement on the rights of disabled Americans.

Franklin Graham, the president of Samaritan’s Purse, wondered why Biden would omit God.

“I was deeply saddened to read that President Biden is the first president to omit the word ‘God’ in his proclamation,” Graham wrote on Facebook. “That speaks volumes doesn’t it?”

It does, indeed.

“It is hard to believe we have come this far,” Graham wrote. “Omitting God is a dangerous thing. He is who we as individuals and as a nation need to call on for help. He created us and made salvation possible for us through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Prayers to anyone or anything else are to no avail. Join me in praying to Almighty God on behalf of our nation.” (Todd Starnes) Read more here.

Our Prayer:

- Father God, we stand in the gap for America and for Joe Biden. We repent that we have fallen so far from You and from the truth of Your Word. As Your children, we reject Biden's "Prayer for the National Day of Prayer," and we instead embrace the one that was released by the NDP Task Force. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to find our way back to You.

“Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 1:3)
The April jobs report reveals two very different Americas
The official U.S. unemployment rate rose again in April to 6.1% from 6% the previous month, and the U.S. added just 266,000 new jobs on a seasonally adjusted basis, the Labor Department said Friday, figures that economists described as a “huge disappointment.” The report revealed a stark divide among workers, both in their ability to get jobs and hang onto them during the pandemic.

While millions of people were laid off last year, many white-collar workers were able to work from home. The Labor Department said just 18.3% of employed people were “teleworking” in April, down from 21% the previous month. For all of the
analysis devoted to working from home and maintaining a work/life balance, it’s an option open to precious few workers. (MSN.com) Read more here

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is calling for Washington to immediately stop paying out-of-work Americans an extra $300 a week in unemployment benefits, saying the boost in government aid is giving some recipients less incentive to look for work.

The business group said Friday that the supplemental unemployment benefit, part of the Biden administration’s pandemic relief program, results in about one in four recipients taking home more in unemployment pay than they earned when they were working.

The statement follows the release of surprisingly weak jobs data for April. (Read more)

A huge Chinese rocket will fall to Earth this weekend. Here's how to track it online.

Several websites give regular updates on the Chinese Long March 5B rocket core that's uncontrollably falling to Earth, with an expected re-entry on Saturday night (May 8).

The 23-ton (21 metric tons) core stage likely will fall into an uninhabited area, given that 70% of Earth's surface is covered by ocean. That said, entities around the world are keeping an eye out just in case — and providing regular updates online.

We continue to pray over the impact of this debris that it will fall safely to earth, harming no one and nothing. Amen.

Prayers for the People of Islam

Day 26: God Has Not Forgotten the Muslim People
. . . Iran is trying to contain the spread of Christianity but is not succeeding. Dr. Shariat declared, “We are seeing the Islamic nation of Iran turning away from Islam and embracing Christianity. Jesus came to set captives free. We see Him doing this as Iranian Muslims are being set free from the dark and enslaving spirit of Islam into the light of the Gospel. As we continue to send the Good News into Iran, we believe it will be the first Islamic nation to turn to Christ!”

Prayer

As we are nearing the end of Ramadan, we think of the multitudes of Muslims who have not yet heard the gospel of Christ. Pray the dissatisfaction in their hearts will lead them to Christian outreach through television, radio, the internet, and other resources, bringing understanding and a harvest of souls for Jesus. Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place." (2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
