"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Ephesians 6:12-13)

SCOTUS Rules on POTUS Tax Returns
Supreme Court blocks Congress from getting Trump's tax records, sending case to lower court
The Supreme Court has deferred issuing a definitive ruling on whether congressional committees can have access to President Trump's financial records, throwing the issue back to the lower courts in a move blocking Congress from getting the records at this time.
The 7-2 decision Thursday sidesteps a politically-charged election-year dispute that could have a major long-term impact over the extent presidents and their top advisers can be shielded from Capitol Hill investigations while in office.
"Without limits on its subpoena powers, Congress could 'exert an imperious controul' over the Executive Branch and aggrandize itself at the President's expense, just as the Framers feared," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the court's opinion. (Fox News)

Alito Dissents: Court's Decision Gives 2,300+ Local Prosecutors Power to Subpoena the President - CNSNews.com
When the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 today in the case of Trump vs. Vance that the president is not "absolutely immune" from being subpoenaed by local prosecutors, Justice Samuel Alito dissented. He argued that presidents could be subjected to criminal subpoenas and prosecution after they leave office-or are impeached-but not while they are still serving.
One consequence of the court's decision, Alito argued, was that politically motivated local prosecutors could subpoena the president for political reasons.
"As for the potential use of subpoenas to harass, we need not 'exhibit a naivete from which ordinary citizens are free,'" wrote Alito in his dissent. "As we have recognized, a President is 'an easily identifiable target,'" Alito said.
"There are more than 2,300 local prosecutors and district attorneys in the country," he said. "Many local prosecutors are elected, and many prosecutors have ambitions for higher elected office. If a sitting President is intensely unpopular in a particular district-and that is a common condition-targeting the President may be an alluring and effective electoral strategy," said Alito.
"But," he said, "it is a strategy that would undermine our constitutional structure."
- Almighty God, we thank You for this ruling by the Supreme Court, protecting the privacy of our President for now. We lift up the immediate attacks upon President Trump by his adversaries as the Democrats continue to seek his tax records. We put the Name of Jesus over the President and his tax records, sealing them from all his enemies. We pray all warfare against the President be stopped by the power of Jesus and all his enemies be defeated. We pray in Jesus' Name.
- "Behold, I AM the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)

Statement by Mike Pompeo
Pompeo Rejects UN Expert's Finding That Soleimani Killing Was Unlawful
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday rejected as "spurious" the conclusion of a U.N. rights expert that the killing of Qassem Soleimani in a drone strike violated international law, saying the expert simply "gives more cause to distrust U.N. human rights mechanisms."
The U.S. took the action against the Iranian Qods Force commander last January in the exercise of its "inherent right of self-defense" under the U.N. Charter, Pompeo said in a statement, issued on the day the expert presented her report and findings to the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva.
During the session, Iran's ambassador called Soleimani a "true defender of human rights and dignity." President Trump has called him "the world's top terrorist."
Agnes Callamard, the U.N.'s "special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions," said in her report to the HRC that the U.S. government had provided no evidence that Soleimani had been "planning an imminent attack against U.S. interests, particularly in Iraq, for which immediate action was necessary and would have been justified."
"[A]bsent the actual imminent threat to life, the course of action taken by the U.S. was unlawful," her report stated.
After the drone strike, Trump and Pompeo said intelligence had been received pointing to the threat of an imminent strike against American interests, including U.S. embassies.
In his statement on Thursday, Pompeo referred both to the attacks in the run-up to the drone strike, and to the risk of more attacks to come.
"The strike that killed General Soleimani was in response to an escalating series of armed attacks in preceding months by the Islamic Republic of Iran and militias it supports on U.S. forces and interests in the Middle East region," he said.
"It was conducted to deter Iran from launching or supporting further attacks against the United States or U.S. interests, and to degrade the capabilities of the Qods Force."
Pompeo quoted Trump as saying on the day of the strike, "We will always protect our diplomats, service members, and all Americans." (CNSNews.com)
- Father God, we thank You that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is standing strong against these allegations by the UN HRC of wrongdoing in the killing of the Iranian terrorist, Soleimani. We support him in prayer, and ask for protection for Mike Pompeo and his family in this hour. In Your Name, amen.
- "Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord; the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. The ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who have an eye for evil will be cut down- those who with a word make someone out to be guilty, who ensnare the defender in court and with false testimony deprive the innocent of justice."(Isaiah 29:19-21)

Never ever give in
On October 29, 1941, a year after one of the darkest hours of World War II for Great Britain, Prime Minister Winston Churchill addressed his alma mater Harrow School. Here emerged one of the most famous quotes (which oft has been misquoted): "Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty-never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." This quote will hopefully embolden you, encourage you, strengthen you as it did to Brits and their allies as they fought one of the gravest evils to darken the steps of mankind. Evil never changes, it just finds more ways.
We are repeatedly instructed by God's word to overcome evil with good. There is so much evil in our society and around the world. Much of what we read, see and hear seems to be surreal in that it is glorifying the evil and calling the good evil. My wife and I were watching a television program the other night and just the advertisements coming on the screen were so dark. They depict crime, murder, horror, death, destruction, sex, homosexuality, infidelity, rebellion, covetousness, and worse. We remarked to each other almost at the same time how dark prime time television has become. Much of these things are glorified through some sort of twisted sense of justice or even humor.
There is a moral war that is being conducted against that which is good. It has its roots in satan. But satan has no power unless people give him legal entry-which much of society has. We need to guard our hearts. We need to protect our families. We need to stand in the gap as examples and not yield to this 21st Century brand of morality. When these examples of evil come before us, we should point them out. Use them to educate others about discernment and right thinking. We need to be proactive with ourselves to ensure that satan's battlefield, our minds, are focused on the good thoughts of God. We need to be leaders for what is right and good in our families and with our friends.
We must be willing to stand. We must not give in. Psalm 94:16-17 says, "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence." Let us be silent no more. Let us be stronger than those who usurp the will of the people and are drunk on their own power. As Ephesians 6:12-13 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Never give in.

Operation Restoration (Repentance)
Operation Restoration
BULLETIN!! PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW NUMBER AND ACCESS CODE:
712-770-5350
150411#
Once each week, on Sunday mornings and for 24 hours, join with others in OPERATION RESTORATION . . .
"Operation Restoration"
This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!
"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.
It is written:
. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.
Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!
You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:
712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#
Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our land." Amen.
