UNITED WE STAND!

Please pray for safety for all who are now in the path of Hurricane Hanna. This is a very dangerous storm, heading into Corpus Christ, Texas.

We ask our Lord to turn this storm before it makes landfall. please go here.

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. (Mark 4:41)

"CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS "

Read into the Congressional Record

January 10th, 1963

On January 10, 1963, Albert Herong, Jr. entered the Communist goals into the Congressional Record in the Florida House of Representatives, saying: "Mr. Speaker, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," an excerpt from "The Naked Communist" by Cleon Skousen."

THIS IS A TEST

THIS IS A TEST

By Wanda Alger
Intercessors for America

This is a test. For the next several months this nation will conduct a test of the globalist Deep State agenda. This is only a test . . .

If only we could see that message scroll across our screens so that all eyes would see it. If only it were clear to everyone what was truly taking place. Instead, it's only those with the eyes of the Spirit that are tuned in to heaven's warning system. The emergencies that are before us are not what they seem. Though some of the crises are undeniable, and some of the issues are valid, the devil has taken any real and present dangers and turned them into weapons of mass deception. The ammunition is politicized propaganda mixed with a small percentage of truth - what better way to distract and desensitize the masses. . .

. . . It's time for Christians to have a backbone. It's time for courage to rise up and the zeal of the Lord to overcome our inhibitions and sensitivities. We are being played, and it's time to defy the giants in the land.

Good News from Louisiana

Louisiana Governor Fasts and Prays for Three Days over COVID-19

Governor John Bel Edwards of Louisiana called on residents to fast and pray for three day, from July 20 to July 22, to bring an end to COVID-19, as reported by The Christian Post.

The Catholic Democratic governor shared his intention to pray and refrain from lunchtime eating at a press conference last week. Spiritual leaders from around the state asked Edwards to join them as a "spiritual diet and exercise."

". . . [We will be] praying for the people of Louisiana, praying for those who are sick, praying for those who care for those . . . who are sick, and certainly praying for the families of those who have passed on," he said.

He also acknowledged that the request was "a little bit unusual" but "very important, anyway," according to Fox News.

Both Republicans and Democrats have put aside their differences and applauded Edwards.

"Sincere salute to Democrat @LouisianaGov John Bel Edwards who has called for 3 days of prayer and fasting next week for the Covid 19 virus. #gratitude #Respect," former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Republican, tweeted.

Archbishop Gregory Aymond of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans also encouraged fasting, stating that "God hears our prayers, and we must cooperate with him in doing our part to make certain that we do not spread the virus."

COVID-19 has killed over 3,500 people in the Bayou State with a little over 90,000 tested positively. According to the New York Times, Louisiana ranks the 12th highest in number of cases and 11th in number of deaths across the country. Over 60,000 patients have recovered, according to NOLA.com.

Edwards mandated last week that all residents must wear masks, which has sparked controversy with the state's attorney general who believes the mandate is unconstitutional.

As the virus continues its destructive path around the world, Malawi's new president, Lazarus Chakwera, also called on his citizens to pray and fast. Chakwera is a former pastor and Assemblies of God President.

- Father God, we continue to join with the Governor of the State of Louisiana, the new President of the nation of Malawi, and many others who are now in a position of prayer and fasting to see this virus disappear. We cry out to You, O Lord, for help in time of need, amen.

"David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Thus the LORD was moved by prayer for the land, and the plague was held back from Israel." (2 Samuel 24:25)

Persecution on the rise in America

The Cato Institute, a public policy think tank "dedicated to the principles of individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and peace" has released polling results indicating that nearly two-thirds of Americans censor themselves from expressing their political opinions because others might find them offensive. The poll shows that 77% of Republicans, 59% of Independents, and 52% of Democrats resist sharing their beliefs. However, Cato says, "Strong liberals stand out, however, as the only political group who feel they can express themselves. Nearly 6 in 10 (58%) of staunch liberals feel they can say what they believe." Worse yet, people want to prevent the employment of those who don't agree with them.

Cato reports, "The survey found that many Americans think a person's private political donations should impact their employment. Nearly a quarter (22%) of Americans would support firing a business executive who personally donates to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign. Even more, 31% support firing a business executive who donates to Donald Trump's re‐election campaign. Support rises among political subgroups. Support increases to 50% of strong liberals who support firing executives who personally donate to Trump. And more than a third (36%) of strong conservatives support firing an executive for donating to Biden's presidential campaign."

his trend is even more pronounced among American youth. Cato finds: "Young Americans are also more likely than older Americans to support punishing people at work for personal donations to Trump. Forty‐four percent (44%) of Americans under 30 support firing executives if they donate to Trump. This share declines to 22% among those over 55 years old-a 20‐point difference. An age gap also exists for Biden donors, but is less pronounced. Twenty‐seven percent (27%) of Americans under 30 support firing executives who donate to Biden compared to 20% of those over 55-a 7‐point difference." We can see the growing trend of political intolerance and ideological bigotry taking place before our very eyes.

This is crazy that those living in a free country with guarantees of freedom of speech and of religion should be gagged for fear of losing their source of income, their ability to sustain themselves and their families, over political beliefs, which often translate to their religious beliefs. Yet, one can see that the most radical elements enthusiastically embrace this tyranny. Ephesians 6 tells us in verses 19 and 20, "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak." The times are fast approaching when we may well be persecuted for speaking boldly. Are you prepared?

First Amendment

This week, Senator Merkley of Oregon spoke on the Senate floor on TuesdayWednesday, and Thursday to request unanimous consent to amend the Defense billto add a "limitation on use of federal law enforcement officers for crowd control."

Over Tuesday and Wednesday, Senator Merkley accused President Trump of intervening "to create an image of chaos, to air it on far-right television, scare the country, turn them into campaign ads," of saying, "If I can recreate conflict in Portland, well, I can run a campaign on fear," of "dress(ing) up his Federal forces to look like White extremists on the streets of Portland," and that "President Trump coordinated this deployment of secret police and attacks on peaceful protesters to create a big conflagration, a big explosion of protests in Portland."

Senator Cramer of North Dakota called out these comments Wednesday evening saying, "What we have been witnessing tonight is a diatribe—in some cases, fantasy but, in every case, an exaggeration and, in many cases, a fabrication." Thursday, Senator Merkley expressed indignation that his colleagues on the other side would be offended.

Please pray for wisdom in dealing with difficult circumstances in cities across America, and truth in how they are reported and discussed.

"But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere." (James 3:17)

House Floor

House Floor Schedule

From the floor colloquy:

Madam Speaker, I will say that on Monday, the House will meet at 9 a.m. for morning-hour debate and 10 a.m. for legislative business, with votes expected to occur, Madam Speaker, approximately 12 p.m.

On Tuesday, the House will not be in session as we pay respect to Congressman John Lewis while he lies in state.

On Wednesday, the House will meet at 9 a.m. for morning-hour debate and 10 a.m. for legislative business.

On Thursday, the House will meet at 9 a.m. for morning-hour debate and 10 a.m. for legislative business. Members are advised that votes on Thursday will be postponed until 6:30 p.m. I know that all Members would like to attend the funeral on Thursday of our brother and great Member and great American John Lewis, however, COVID-19 makes a small-group-only possible. And we will be returning, which is why votes will be delayed until the 6:30 hour.

On Friday, the House will meet at 9 a.m. for legislative business. Members are advised that last votes could occur later than 3 p.m.

We got out earlier today, and I want to congratulate our floor director, Shuwanza Goff, who got us a schedule that is working very, very well.

The suspension bills will be announced by the close of business today.

The House will consider two childcare bills.

H.R. 7027 would create a $50 billion Child Care Stabilization Fund within the existing Child Care and Development Block Grant. This would immediately address the problems childcare providers are having in staying open and covering their increased operating costs with limited revenue during this pandemic.

The House will also consider H.R. 7327Child Care for Economic Recovery Act. This bill would expand the availability of childcare by providing tax relief to families, providers, and employees, significantly increasing funds for the Child Care Entitlement to States programs, providing funds to improve childcare safety and infrastructure and ensure dependent care for essential workers during the pandemic and recognizing all childcare workers are essential.

These two bills are obviously a response to the extraordinary challenge to childcare providers and those who need childcare services.

In addition, Madam Speaker, the House will consider H.R. 7617, the Defense, Commerce, Justice, Science, Energy and Water Development, Financial Services and General Government, Homeland Security, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act, Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations bill.

With that, we will have passed most-almost 97 percent, maybe 98 percent, of the spending requirements of the Nation for the year to come.

Members are advised that additional legislative items are possible, which we will be discussing with the minority as well.

Lastly, Members are further advised that conversations are ongoing regarding additional coronavirus relief legislation.

Members should keep their schedules flexible for the week of August 3. Let me remind Members that are listening, and on the floor, the week of August 3 was scheduled to be a week where we would begin the August work period. However, the Senate is not beginning its August work period until August 8. It is very likely, therefore, that we may not reach an agreement on COVID-19 until that week.

I want to tell all Members that it is the intention of the Speaker and myself not to go on a work period until such time as we have passed legislation, hopefully, in a bipartisan way, and sent it to the President and the President signs it, which will help the American people, American businesses, and our country meet the ever-growing, quickly metastasizing crisis that we are confronting.

Further information regarding the timing of a coronavirus relief bill will be announced as soon as possible.

I would simply add that I will make a determination, along with discussions with others, including the minority, next week at some point in time as to exactly how we should schedule. I think it will depend upon where we are in the negotiations and how quickly we can reach an agreement on COVID-19 legislation.

MONDAY, JULY 27TH
On Monday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for morning hour and 10:00 a.m. for legislative business. First votes expected at 11:30 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 29TH AND THE BALANCE OF THE WEEK
On Wednesday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for morning hour and 10:00 a.m. for legislative business.

On Thursday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for morning hour and 10:00 a.m. for legislative business.

On Friday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business. Last votes could occur later than 3:00 p.m.

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to " "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" (Matthew 3:2)

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:24)

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
 (2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
