1. Hundreds of left-wing protesters march in Jerusalem - Israel National News
Hundreds of left-wing demonstrators marched from the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem to the Knesset Tuesday evening.
The demonstrators demanded that Prime Minister Netanyahu resign in light of the charges against him and the government's handling of the coronavirus crisis.
Police closed several streets as a result of the march.
The Black Flags movement, which has led frequent protests against Netanyahu recently, released a statement criticizing legislation which would allow the government to pass coronavirus restrictions without the approval of the Knesset. "The 'enabling act' is another stage in the dismantling and deterioration of Israel towards a 'Bibicracy.' The accused Netanyahu should be removed from the prime minister's house - no more powers should be transferred to him."

2. Report: Israeli airstrikes in Syria kill five, wound four foreign fighters - JNS
(July 21, 2020 / JNS) Israel launched airstrikes on Monday against military targets south of Damascus, killing five foreign fighters and wounding four others, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday.
It was not known if the killed and wounded fighters were Iranian or were affiliated with the Lebanese Hezbollah, said the opposition affiliated Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Another seven air-defense forces were injured.
A missile depot and other weapons warehouses were also destroyed, according to the report.
The Syrian military said on Monday that its air defenses responded to Israeli airstrikes and intercepted most of the missiles, reported Syria's state news agency SANA. The attack injured seven soldiers and caused damage, it said.

3. IDF on High Alert After Hezbollah Threatens Revenge for Member's Death in Syria - Jewish Press
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) moved to high alert along the northern border on Wednesday, according to a report in Hebrew-language media.
The move comes in response to a threat of revenge from Lebanon's Hezbollah terrorist organization over the death in Syria of one of its members.
Hezbollah confirmed that Ali Kamel Mohsen was killed during an air strike Monday on Iranian military targets near Damascus International Airport, the Beirut-based Al Mayadeen news outlet, linked to Hezbollah, reported.

4. Pandemic fuels real estate surge as Diaspora Jewry realizes Israel 'safest place to be' - World Israel News
Jews and Israelis who are living in the U.S. are moving back to Israel in large numbers and buying real estate, despite the second wave of infections that has been hitting the country, Globes reported Tuesday.
American Jews and Israelis who moved to North America appear to agree that if they have to deal with the coronavirus, doing it in Israel is the better way, the report said.
The Jewish Agency and the Nefesh B'Nefesh organization that promotes aliyah both reported earlier this year that since the coronavirus pandemic broke out there has been a huge surge in the number of Jews who want to immigrate to Israel, especially during the success of beating down the first wave of infections in April.
At the same time, real estate companies have reported a dramatic increase in foreign residents looking to buy housing in Israel.

5. Knesset committee approves sweeping coronavirus bill for final readings- Times of Israel
The Knesset's Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee voted to advance a controversial bill that would grant the cabinet powers to impose wide-ranging restrictions in order to curb the coronavirus pandemic, through June 2021.
The bill was slated to be presented for second and third readings at the plenum, where it is expected to pass later Wednesday.
The legislation would allow the cabinet to set restrictions on the public, with the Knesset given 24 hours to approve or reject the regulations before they take effect automatically. In addition, it includes a clause that would allow the cabinet to bypass the Knesset and immediately implement measures deemed "urgent," without specifying the criteria for making that determination.

1. China Forces Christians To Renounce Faith, Destroy Christian Symbols Or Be Cut Off From Welfare, Reports Say - Daily Wire
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is reportedly forcing people of faith to renounce their beliefs and replace religious symbols and imagery with portraits of Chairman Mao and President Xi Jinping.
The reports come from Bitter Winter, a publication that the U.S. Department of State has cited in official reports and describes as "an online magazine on religious liberty and human rights in China." A few months ago, communist officials in Linfen reportedly called officials from all the local towns and villages under its governance for a meeting.
"The participants were ordered to remove crosses, religious symbols and images from the homes of people of faith who receive social welfare payments and replace them with portraits of Chairman Mao and President Xi Jinping," Bitter Winter reported Tuesday. "The officials were instructed to annul the subsidies to those who protest the order."
A member of a church there told the publication that the communist officials tore down religious writings and a calendar of Jesus in his home and replaced it with an image of Mao Zedong, the most murderous dictator in world history.

2. REPORT: With Indoor Dining Upended, Some Restaurants Call It Quits - DML News
Uncertainty surrounding indoor dining is prompting tough decisions at restaurants across the country. Government aid has run out, and breaks from landlords and suppliers are coming due as fewer diners are willing to eat inside, a combination of factors pushing restaurants like Eden to the breaking point. Thousands of restaurants have closed so far, and as many as 10% of independent operators could shut by year's end as a result of the new coronavirus, according to financial-services firm Stephens.
According to stats from Yelp's website, over 15,000 U.S. restaurants have permanently closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
Indoor dining has been halted at nearly 90,000 restaurants across the country, according to the National Restaurant Association, a trade group. Plans to resume indoor dining in places including New York City and New Jersey are also in limbo, and on Monday Chicago announced the suspension of indoor service at eateries and bars. The report says that restaurants located in" downtown commercial corridors where few office workers have returned" are "particularly vulnerable."

3. US Senators Push Measure That Could Block Israel from Defending Itself Against Terror - CBN News
More than a dozen US senators are supporting an amendment quietly added to this year's defense bill that some say could endanger Israel now and in the future. Some see it as an attempt to interfere with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plans to declare Israeli sovereignty over parts of biblical Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.
The bill would affect weaponry such as Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile system. It is literally a lifesaver against terror attacks by groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
This amendment, introduced by Senate Democrat Chris Van Hollen, could conceivably prevent the deployment of this joint US/Israel defense system to protect areas of the West Bank or Jordan Valley.
The amendment states no US funds may ". . . support the deployment of, United States defense articles, services, or training to territories in the West Bank unilaterally annexed by Israel after July 1, 2020, or to facilitate the unilateral annexation of such territories."

4. Doctor's Visits No Longer Required for Women to Obtain Abortion Pill, Federal Judge Decides - Christian Headlines
This week, a federal judge in Maryland ruled that women do not need an 'in-person' doctor's visit to obtain an abortion pill. According to U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang, the current requirements for the abortion pill create a "substantial obstacle" for women, the Associated Press reports. The case arose after the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists sued the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in May, citing the difficulty women are currently facing to obtain an abortion during COVID-19. "Particularly in light of the limited timeframe during which a medication abortion or any abortion must occur, such infringement on the right to an abortion would constitute irreparable harm," he said in an 80-page decision.

5. Maryland announces $500M coronavirus unemployment fraud bust - Fox News
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced Wednesday that state officials had uncovered a massive fraudulent scheme involving 47,500 falsified unemployment insurance claims, adding up to more than $501 million.
The scheme involved identity theft from previous security breaches and did suggest that any of the personal information submitted in the legitimate claims had been compromised in any way.
"This criminal enterprise seeking to take advantage of a global pandemic to steal hundreds of millions, perhaps billions, of dollars from taxpayers is despicable," said Hogan speaking from a press conference Wednesday.

6. 14 Wounded in Mass Shooting Outside Chicago Funeral Home - Brietbart
At least 14 people are injured following a mass shooting outside of a funeral home in Chicago in yet another act of violence that has been plaguing the city. The incident coincides with Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) publicly rejecting President Trump's assistance.
CBS Chicago reported:
Chicago Police First Deputy Supt. Eric Carter said a black vehicle was heading west on 79th Street at 6:30 p.m., when people inside began firing at attendees of a funeral. The funeral was taking place at a funeral home at 1018 W. 79th St.
The attendees of the funeral began firing back at the vehicle, which turned north on Carpenter Street and kept firing at people from the funeral before crashing midway down the block. The occupants got out and fled in multiple directions, Carter said.
The victims' conditions were not immediately known, although there are reports of several victims in critical condition.

7. Horowitz: Bombshell report: Dr. Birx believes the CDC is inflating death numbers by as much as 25% - Conservative Review
On Saturday, the Washington Post reported that Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House Coronavirus Task Force response administrator, is accusing the CDC of using an antiquated model to track coronavirus deaths that could be responsible for inflating the death numbers by as much as 25 percent. The Post cites four unnamed sources who reported a dispute between Birx and Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, last Wednesday over the modeling.
"There is nothing from the CDC that I can trust," Birx reportedly said, according to two of the Post's sources. If the 25% inflation number is true, that would place the total deaths closer to the 66,000 death figure that the government predicted in April.
We need not rely on an off-the-record citation from the Washington Post to know that where there is smoke, there is fire. Birx already publicly admitted last month that CDC is telling states to code any death of an individual who tests positive for COVID-19 as a coronavirus death, even if it is not proven that the death was caused by COVID-19.

8. People are burning documents at the Chinese Consulate in Houston, as Beijing says the US abruptly gave it 72 hours to shut it down - Yahoo News
People are burning documents at the Chinese Consulate in Houston after China said the US gave it 72 hours to close, with the State Department accusing China of threatening US sovereignty and intimidating US citizens. The local outlet ABC 13 reported early Wednesday morning that trash cans full of documents were being burned in the consulate's courtyard.
A police official told the Houston Chronicle that witnesses saw paper being burned in what appeared to be open trash cans outside the building. The police also told the local outlet Fox26 Houston that a fire reported at the consulate on Tuesday evening was the result of people burning documents. KPRC 2 reported that the police were told documents were being burned just after 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
The State Department confirmed to Insider that the US ordered China to close its Houston consulate immediately. "On July 21, the US suddenly requested China to close the Consulate General in Houston. This was a political provocation unilaterally initiated by the US against China," a Chinese Foreign Ministry representative, Wang Wenbin, said on Wednesday, calling it an "unprecedented escalation" in US-China relations.

9. Trump to 'surge' federal agents to Chicago, other cities, amid spike in violent crime - Fox News
President Trump is deploying 100 federal agents to Chicago to help combat rising rates of some crimes - a move that marks an expansion of the White House's intervention into local law enforcement as Trump continues to position himself as the "law and order" president.
The "surge" of agents announced on Wednesday to Chicago and other American cities is part of Operation Legend - named after 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro, who was fatally shot while sleeping in a Kansas City apartment late last month - and comes as federal law enforcement officers have already descended on Portland, Ore. and Kansas City, Mo.
"The effort to shut down police in their own communities has led to a shocking explosion of shootings, killing, violence, murders," Trump said during a speech in the White House's East Room. "This rampage of violence shocks the conscience of our nation and we will not stand by and watch it happen."

10. UN secretary-general calls for 'New Global Deal' to construct new governance model to fight future viruses - Washington Examiner
The top official at the United Nations said that the coronavirus pandemic will bring about a "new model of global governance."
"To close those gaps, and to make the New Social Contract possible, we need a New Global Deal to ensure that power, wealth, and opportunities are shared more broadly and fairly at the international level," U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said about gaps "in governance structures and ethical frameworks" exposed by the pandemic. "A new model for global governance must be based on full, inclusive, and equal participation in global institutions."
The 71-year-old Portuguese socialist continued: "A New Global Deal, based on a fair globalization, on the rights and dignity of every human being, on living in balance with nature, on taking account of the rights of future generations, and on success measured in human rather than economic terms, is the best way to change this."

The game of COVID 19 and politics
What to believe? The US is reporting over 1,000 COVID 19 deaths per day now, but there are reports that even accidental auto deaths are being reported as COVID 19-related to boost numbers. Democratic governors are sounding alarms about reopening the states to business, but many believe they want to continue shuttering businesses to sway the election against President Trump. Scientists have been all over the map regarding how the virus spreads; some saying masks prevent it, others saying masks have no effect, still others saying that the most dangerous place to catch the virus is at home from family members who have been out in the world. It's a lockdown mentality. One based on peddling fear.
The moving target on identifying exactly how this virus is spread and how deadly it is continues to gin up repeated conspiracy theories. But there is one thing that is common to all of it: This is a virus of fear. Look at the statistics. There are 3.9 million reported cases, 142,000 deaths. Reuters, who has been keeping a running tally of statistics, reports that there are 43 deaths per 100,000 people. In real terms, that's a 0.043% chance of dying if you contract COVID 19. While any death from it is a personal tragedy, and if you know of anyone who has died from this virus, you have my heartfelt sympathy. Notwithstanding, there needs to be some perspective as to justifying shutting down an entire nation because of this virus.
The National Safety Council puts your odds of dying in a car crash at 0.877-far greater than dying from COVID 19. There is a 14% chance of dying from heart disease, which claim 375,000 American lives per year. There is an 18.6% chance of dying before you are born due to abortion, which claims nearly 750,000 Americans a year, almost half (about 260,000) are black. Does it seem hypocritical for Planned Parenthood, the worlds largest abortion provider, to post ads saying "Black Lives Matter" when it is systematically killing black babies by the thousands? Yet, with all these statistics there is no lockdown, but the industries associated with these deaths are thriving. Apples to oranges, I know, but just saying.
You have a 99.957% chance of surviving COVID 19. Yet you are not allowed to go to work, have your business open, do normal life things. But WalMart, for example, imports up to 70-80% of its products from China-the very country that sent America COVID 19. China also benefits by making COVID 19 masks. So American businesses and workers suffer while China continues to prosper. Something is wrong with this picture, terribly wrong. We need to quit operating in fear and start operating as a 2 Timothy 1:7 people, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Let us pray to the Lord and act in power, love and with a sound mind for an end to this nonsense. We need to demand an end to this craziness because the political games people are playing harm us more than the virus.

Hurricane Douglas, 1st hurricane of 2020, has Hawaii on alert
The Western Hemisphere was devoid of hurricanes since the 2020 tropical season kicked off on May 15 in the East Pacific and June 1 in the Atlantic. However, that changed early Wednesday when Douglas strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane.
Hurricane Douglas is positioned in the middle of the East Pacific Ocean, well away from any landmass. This hurricane is moving west at a speed of 15 mph and has maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. It is currently located about 1,500 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico, and 1,785 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii.
Douglas will be located over an area of warm water and low wind shear for the next 24-36 hours, which will allow for additional strengthening as it moves west into Thursday.
Douglas is expected to become a Category 2 hurricane, which would require a maximum sustained wind speed of 96 mph by Thursday morning. There are some indications that Douglas could briefly strengthen to a major hurricane, Category 3 or greater, before moving into a harsher environment.
No matter its strength, Douglas is not expected to impact land through at least Saturday. Instead, shipping interests in the area should be aware of gusty winds, downpours and rough seas.
This more northwesterly track could take Douglas on a rare path toward the Hawaiian Islands by the beginning of next week.

'God Is on the Move': Worship and Baptisms Happening in Washington Square, NYC amid Peaceful Protests
(New York, NY) - [GODTV.com] On Sunday, a group of Christians gathered around Washington Square Park, New York City, and turned the place into a worship service for several hours. After, it unexpectedly became a baptism place as well!
The Let Us Worship movement hosted by Sean Feucht has been going to iconic places in America in response to ordinances that silence the Church.

Apparently, the movement was founded after Instagram censored the worship services that Sean led. It was when they prayed and led worship outdoors following the murder of George Floyd.
Bethel's worship leader explained, "Basically, they are blocking ... any narrative except the one they want to push, which is strife, rioting, and violence. And they wouldn't cover the fact that people are coming together in these places of trauma and they're bringing hope and bringing healing and bringing restoration and reconciliation."
He told The Stream, "I would say [it is] hypocritical at best, given the fact that the state government largely endorsed the mass protest that included tens of thousands of people, and also included a lot of chanting and a lot of yelling. And I wasn't against those, but I am against the hypocritical nature of not allowing the Church to meet."

Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America.
