"We the People"

"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"
Standing in Agreement:
Hurricane IDA will diminish, TURN and go out to sea!

New Orleans evacuates as Hurricane Ida could strengthen to Category 4 with 140 mph winds

Ida could make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane on Sunday when it hits the Gulf Coast with maximum winds of 140 mph, according to the latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center.

Mandatory evacuations are being ordered in Louisiana on Friday as Ida gains strength in the gulf.

The storm was about 90 miles southwest of Havana, Cuba around 5 p.m. ET on Friday. Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and western Cuba will face heavy rains, flash flooding, and mudslides throughout Friday evening.

President Biden declared a state of emergency in Louisiana on Friday afternoon, directing the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate disaster relief efforts.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards also declared a state of emergency earlier in the week and warned residents Friday to spend their weekend preparing for the storm.

"While we’re going to have lots of people, lots of boats and helicopters, and we’re going to do urban search and rescue just as soon as we possibly can, everyone is encouraged to have three days worth of supplies on hand," Gov. Edwards said at a press conference Friday. "That’s the rule of thumb. The first 72 hours are on you."

- Father God, we come before You today, in repentance, asking for a miracle. We ask for Your Hand of mercy to rest upon all who are now in the path of this storm. Lord God, in Your Word, we see that even the wind the waves obey You. Lord God, would You please extend Your Hand over this storm, cause it to abate, and to turn back into the Gulf Coast. We ask this prayer in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?  (Mark 4:37-41)

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
August 27th Update:

1. If the Democrats could fight wars as well as they execute Election Fraud, we would have obliterated all of our many enemies throughout the World, and would have nothing to worry about!

2. The Leftist “select committee” has further exposed itself as a partisan sham and waste of taxpayer dollars with a request that’s timed to distract Americans from historic and global catastrophes brought on by the failures of Joe Biden and the Democrats. Unfortunately, this partisan exercise is being performed at the expense of long-standing legal principles of privilege. Executive privilege will be defended, not just on behalf of my Administration and the Patriots who worked beside me, but on behalf of the Office of the President of the United States and the future of our Nation. These Democrats only have one tired trick—political theater—and their latest request only reinforces that pathetic reality.
In Context
After an abbreviated 2-day work week for the House, Congress has returned to its August recess. The Senate returns in two weeks, the House in three weeks.

Upon returning to Washington, the Congressional agenda is quite full:

1. Fund the U.S. Federal government for a year within two weeks, or extend last year's funding levels while next year's funding is finalized.

2. Manage the national debt which is expected to be at its limit in October or November.

3. The Biden/Democratic agenda: elections, infrastructure, union support.

4. Taliban response. Even before the Afghanistan government collapse and  subsequent terrorist attacks, Congressional leadership has been in discussions about war authorization repeal votes.

Senate Majority Leader Schumer has announced his intention to bring election-related legislation to the Senate floor as soon as the Senate returns.

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
