Biden’s Vax Mandate To Be Enforced By Fining Companies $70,000 To $700,000?
|
|
President Joe Biden didn’t just announce a Covid-19 vaccine mandate on companies employing 100 or more people, he plans to enforce it.
On Saturday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House quietly tucked an enforcement mechanism into their $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” bill, passed it out of the Budget Committee, and sent it to the House floor.
Buried on page 168 of the House Democrats’ 2,465-page mega bill is a tenfold increase in fines for employers that “willfully,” “repeatedly,” or even seriously violate a section of labor law that deals with hazards, death, or serious physical harm to their employees.
The increased fines on employers could run as high as $70,000 for serious infractions, and $700,000 for willful or repeated violations—almost three-quarters of a million dollars for each fine. If enacted into law, vax enforcement could bankrupt non-compliant companies even more quickly than the $14,000 OSHA fine anticipated under Biden’s announced mandate. (Forbes) Read more.

1. At UN, Bennett warns world Iran's nuclear program at a ‘watershed moment’ - JNS
Demarking a clear distinction between himself and his predecessor, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that one of the most dangerous problems in the world today is political polarization.
In his first address as prime minister to the United Nations General Assembly in New York Monday morning, Bennett called polarizations one of two plagues affecting the world at the moment, with the other being the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Both the coronavirus and polarization can erode public trust in our institutions. Both can paralyze nations,” Bennet said.
The effects of this polarization could be devastating, especially in a world where there are algorithms that fuel people’s anger towards each other. (Read more)

2. Bennett: We are taking initiative against Iran now - Jerusalem Post
Israel is not just talking, it is taking action against Iran in the present, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in a briefing to journalists on his delegation to New York, following his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Monday.
Iran’s pace of advancement towards a nuclear weapon is “unacceptable,” and Israel’s approach is “not just apocalyptic warnings, but initiative. We mean what we say,” Bennett said.
“We are acting in the present and will continue. I believe that consistent and determined action can make a difference,” he stated.
In his speech at the UN, the prime minister mentioned that Iran is enriching uranium to 60%, one step away from weapons-grade material, and warned that “Iran’s nuclear weapon program is at a critical point. All redlines have been crossed. Inspections – ignored. All wishful thinking – proven false. Iran is violating the [International Atomic Energy Agency’s] safeguard agreements – and it’s getting away with it.

3. COVID Cabinet to meet as Health Ministry pushes new restrictions - Israel National News
Israel’s Coronavirus Cabinet is set to meet next Sunday, the first time the group has convened in a month.
The meeting, set to take place next Sunday evening from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m., comes following pressure from the Health Ministry to deliberate on a new set of recommended restrictions on public activity.
With the Israeli school system set to reopen this Thursday, after the Sukkot holiday break, the Health Ministry is urging the government to consider new limits on mass gatherings.
Bennett has vowed at closed-door meetings to oppose the Health Ministry’s recommendations for new restrictions, Channel 12 reported, citing declines in the number of seriously ill COVID patients, particularly the number of seriously ill patients who have been vaccinated, as well as the decline in the percentage of COVID tests coming back negative.
“There is no connection between limits at a soccer game or concert, when the attendees are vaccinated, and the infection rate among the unvaccinated,” Bennett said Saturday night. (Read more)

4. PA outraged after woman holds Israeli flag on Temple Mount - Israel National News
Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki has sent letters to the secretaries of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation what he called the "escalation" in Israeli operations designed to divide the Arab world using the Al Aqsa Mosque.
In his letter, Maliki noted that the "Israeli Occupation Authority" continues to use religious freedom justify daily "invasions" at the Al Aqsa Mosque and the implementation of "its expansionary colonial aspirations in occupied Jerusalem."
As examples of his remarks, Maliki said that on Monday the Israeli flag was hoisted in the plaza of the Al Aqsa Mosque and "Talmudic rituals" were held, Jewish visitors prostrated on the ground and brought religious books to the site. (Read more)

5. This Simchat Torah, one ancient Czech scroll has returned to its country of origin - Religion News Service
Rabbi David Maxa first read from a Torah scroll eight years ago during a summer he spent at a camp for Reform Jewish leaders.
Maxa, who was visiting the U.S. for the first time, didn’t know it then, but the Torah he read from had originated from his home country — in the Czech city of Brno, about 130 miles from Prague. It had traveled to Kutz Camp in Warwick, New York, 40 years earlier.
On Tuesday, (Sept. 28), that same scroll returned to the Czech Republic, when Maxa and his nascent Prague congregation welcomed it into their ark for use as part of their weekly worship.(Read much more here!)

1. U.S. Marine Who Blasted Hasty Afghan Withdrawal in Military Lockup - Brietbart
Scheller gained wide public notice in August when he released a public video ripping into the hasty retreat that left the country to fall into the hands of Taliban terrorists, as Breitbart News reported. He further demanded public accountability from his senior leadership on the botched withdrawal process.
After several of his videos on the matter went viral, his superiors banned him from posting on social media. Scheller acknowledged the enormous outpouring of support and debate stirred by his video work, adding he was resigning his commission as an officer in the Marine Corps — short of the 20 years needed to be eligible for lifelong retirement and medical benefits.
His letter of resignation went in on August 31 – the final day of U.S. occupation of Afghanistan. He later announced he was ordered to undergo a mental health screening. (Read more)

2. Thousands of NY Health Care Workers Placed on Unpaid Leave, Face Firing Over Vaccine Mandate - Epoch Times
Thousands of nurses and other health care workers across New York state have lost their jobs or been suspended because they are refusing to comply with the state’s mandate to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Going into effect on Sept. 27, the mandate has led to staffing shortages, although some of the large hospital systems in the state have said they are maintaining continuity of services.
As of Sept. 27, 92 percent of hospital employees in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine, based on “preliminary self-reported data,” the office of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said in a statement. That would leave tens of thousands of hospital workers slated for termination, though some health care providers indicated that they are giving their employees some time to still get vaccinated and return to work. 3. Republican Lawmakers Question Attacks on Ivermectin as COVID-19 Treatment - Epoch Times
–A group of Republican lawmakers threw their support behind doctors who advocate for the right to use ivermectin, an inexpensive antiparasitic drug, for treating COVID-19.
Ivermectin is the latest drug caught in controversy after demand surged dramatically in August. Physician and pharmacist groups, including the American Medical Association “strongly oppose” the prescribing of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 patients.
Federal health agencies also issued warnings recently to prevent the use of the drug, stating that “adverse effects associated with ivermectin misuse and overdose are increasing.”
Critical care physician Pierre Kory, however, describes correctly administered ivermectin as “a gift” in the fight against COVID-19. “I know ivermectin works. I’ve been using it to treat patients for 10 months now,” Kory told The Epoch Times.
Ivermectin is an FDA-approved antiparasitic drug that has been used safely for more than three decades in the treatment of certain worm infections. The two doctors who developed ivermectin received the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2015 “for improving the health and wellbeing of millions of individuals with River Blindness and Lymphatic Filariasis, primarily in the poorest regions of the world.” (Read more)

4. Unmitigated Crisis:’ Florida Sues Biden Administration Over Release of Illegal Immigrants - Epoch Times
The Biden administration’s repeated release of illegal immigrants has drawn a legal challenge from the state of Florida. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, a Republican, sued the federal government over its “catch-and-release” policy, which has led to the freeing of over 225,000 illegal immigrants this year.
The lawsuit primarily concerns the treatment of immigrants seeking asylum, which is granted in cases where authorities rule they have a legitimate fear of persecution based on their race, religion, or several other reasons.
Federal law requires the government to detain the asylum seekers until authorities rule on their case. But under President Joe Biden, it has released at least 225,000 illegal immigrants, including asylum seekers, so far, according to Customs and Border Protection data.
“Releasing this many arriving aliens into the interior necessarily means that the government is violating congressional commands in the immigration laws,” the 23-page suit, filed in federal court in Pensacola, states. (Read more)

5. FBI Data Shows An Unprecedented Spike In Murders Nationwide In 2020 - NPR
The number of murders in the United States jumped by nearly 30% in 2020 compared with the previous year in the largest single-year increase ever recorded in the country, according to official FBI statistics released Monday.
The data shows 21,570 homicides in the U.S. in 2020, which is a staggering 4,901 more than in 2019. The tally makes clear — in concrete terms — just how violent last year was.
The overall violent crime rate, which includes murder, assault, robbery and rape, inched up around 5%, while property crimes continued their long-running decline and dropped 8% from 2019.
But the spike in murders jumps out in the FBI report because of the sheer scale of the change. (Read more)

6. California parents request judge block public schools from asking students to pray to Aztec gods - Fox News
Three California parents are suing to prevent the state's public school system from reciting prayers to Aztec deities that have been worshipped with human sacrifice – arguing that doing so violates the U.S. and state constitutions.
The issue emerged earlier this year when researcher Chris Rufo reported on that particular aspect of the state's ethnic studies curriculum. As Fox News previously noted, the curriculum suggests chants that invoke the deity Tezkatlipoka. Tezkatlipoka is an Aztec god that was honored with human sacrifices. According to the World History Encyclopedia, an impersonator of Tezkatlipoka would be sacrificed with his heart removed to honor the deity. In Aztec mythology, Tezkatlipoka is the brother of Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli and Xipe Totec – all of whom appear to be invoked in the chant.
The Thomas More Society, which represents the parents, described the model curriculum as "blatantly unconstitutional." Under the curriculum's "Lesson Resources," CDE lays out the chant and more generally defends chants as "energizers" that can bring unity. (Read more)

7. YouTube says will ban posts from prominent anti-vaccine activists in effort to purge misinformation - Just The News
YouTube said Wednesday the platform is banning several prominent anti-vaccine activists from its platform as part of an effort to remove all content that falsely claims that approved vaccines are dangerous.
Among the accounts being banned are those of Joseph Mercola and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to The New York Times. YouTube made the announcement in a blog post saying it would remove videos claiming that vaccines do not reduce transmission or contraction of disease as well as content that includes misinformation on the contents of the vaccines.
The platform also said it would remove claims that approved vaccines cause autism, cancer or infertility, or that the vaccines contain trackers, the Times reports. (Read more)

8. Border patrol agents to be fired for refusing COVID jab as illegals pour in without vaccine mandate - Just The News
Border patrol agents who’ve devoted their careers to protecting the U.S. now face termination if they refuse to get COVID-19 vaccinations by November, even as the Biden administration refuses to mandate vaccination for those entering the U.S. illegally.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) sent DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas a letter Tuesday expressing incredulity that "the Biden administration will allow COVID-positive illegal aliens to surge across the border but will terminate dedicated law-enforcement officers who do not comply" with a presidential mandate.

9. Manchin trashes Democratic spending bill: ‘Fiscal insanity’ - Washington Examiner
Sen. Joe Manchin, a key centrist Democrat whose approval is required to pass the party’s massive social welfare spending package, firmly rejected the proposal on Wednesday, criticizing the $3.5 trillion cost and the vast new entitlements it would provide.
Manchin issued a scathing statement about the massive spending package, criticizing the cost, tax increases, and social welfare programs that “spend for the sake of spending.”
The West Virginia Democrat's thorough rejection of the measure follows days of talks with President Joe Biden and top Democrats, who had hoped to strike an accord with Manchin ahead of a House vote on the $1.2 infrastructure package.
“What I have made clear to the President and Democratic leaders is that spending trillions more on new and expanded government programs, when we can’t even pay for the essential social programs, like Social Security and Medicare, is the definition of fiscal insanity,” Manchin said in a statement Wednesday.
His rejection of the package likely jeopardizes the passage of the infrastructure bill on Thursday. House liberals said they plan to block the bill unless House and Senate Democrats agree to a spending level and framework on the social welfare spending bill. Stupidocrisy: Of Reins And Whips

Last week, the mainstream news media and the Democratic Party leadership was all in an uproar over photographs of Border Agents on horseback “whipping” Haitians trying to enter the US illegally. It was an interpretation of the pictures without context, but that didn’t stop the media and the Democratic Party political machine from moving at hyper speed in all the talk shows invoking racism, slavery, crimes against humanity, and, oh yes, blaming former president Donald Trump. When photographer Paul Ratje told KTSM NBC 9 in El Paso that the media was misrepresenting the photos, it didn’t matter. By that time, there was no reining in the narrative that Haitians were being whipped by border agents.
Joe Biden led the charge, telling media, “It’s outrageous. I promise you, those people will pay. There will be an investigation, underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences.” He said, “It’s an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment is dangerous, it’s wrong, it sends the wrong message around the world or sends the wrong message at home. It’s simply not who we are.”Kamala Harris, told ABC’s The View, “I was outraged by it. It was horrible and deeply troubling…there needs be consequences and accountability.” Press Secretary Jen Psaki, said Biden “believes that the footage and photos are horrific.” Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) blamed Trump for the policy. YouTube is banning prominent anti-vaccine activists and blocking all anti-vaccine content

YouTube is taking down several video channels associated with high-profile anti-vaccine activists including Joseph Mercola and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who experts say are partially responsible for helping seed the skepticism that’s contributed to slowing vaccination rates across the country.
As part of a new set of policies aimed at cutting down on anti-vaccine content on the Google-owned site, YouTube will ban any videos that claim that commonly used vaccines approved by health authorities are ineffective or dangerous. The company previously blocked videos that made those claims about coronavirus vaccines, but not ones for other vaccines like those for measles or chickenpox. (MSN.com) Read more.

Rather than the political January 6th Unselect Committee of Radical Left Democrats and Democrat wannabes (Warmonger Liz Cheney and Cryin’ Adam Kinzinger), Congress should set up a “Commission On the Disastrous Withdrawal From Afghanistan,” to figure out what went wrong, why so many of our Warriors were killed, and why so much money (85 BILLION DOLLARS), in the form of Weapons and Military equipment, was left behind for the Taliban to use—and to sell to other countries. This is without question something that needs to be investigated further. Thirteen dead AMERICAN HEROES, billions of dollars of equipment, and hundreds of Americans still left behind in Afghanistan with the Taliban!

The botched and embarrassingly incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan had nothing to do with past Administrations or things that happened “from 20 years ago,” (other than we should not have been in the Middle East in the first place!). The horrible “withdrawal” was caused, in particular, because the Military was taken out before American citizens and $85 Billion worth of the highest-grade Military equipment anywhere in the world. This withdrawal was developed by a child’s mind, and only the Biden Administration is responsible for it. When I left office, the Taliban was held at bay, we had as long as we wanted, there was no reason to rush, no soldiers were killed or even shot at for over 18 months, and if they didn’t meet certain conditions, we would have hit them very hard. But then Biden and Milley removed the Military in one of the dumbest Military moves in history, and it all began. So sad for our Nation!

NASA’s Mars Fleet Lays Low As Sun Moves

The missions will continue collecting data about the Red Planet, though engineers back on Earth will stop sending commands to them until mid-October.
NASA will stand down from commanding its Mars missions for the next few weeks while Earth and the Red Planet are on opposite sides of the Sun. This period, called Mars solar conjunction, happens every two years.
The Sun expels hot, ionized gas from its corona, which extends far into space. During solar conjunction, when Earth and Mars can’t “see” each other, this gas can interfere with radio signals if engineers try to communicate with spacecraft at Mars. That could corrupt commands and result in unexpected behavior from our deep space explorers.
To be safe, NASA engineers send Mars spacecraft a list of simple commands to carry out for a few weeks. This year, most missions will stop sending commands between Oct. 2 and Oct. 16. A few extend that commanding moratorium, as it’s called, a day or two in either direction, depending on the angular distance between Mars and the Sun in Earth’s sky.
“Though our Mars missions won’t be as active these next few weeks, they’ll still let us know their state of health,” said Roy Gladden, manager of the Mars Relay Network at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. “Each mission has been given some homework to do until they hear from us again.” (Read More)

Texas Abortion Ban Has Saved 2,700 Babies From Abortion So Far

For 27 days, Texas has been saving unborn babies from abortion through its new heartbeat law.
The pro-life law — the first of its kind allowed to be enforced in the U.S. – has saved about 100 babies’ lives every single day. That amounts to approximately 2,700 unborn babies, as well as their mothers and fathers, who have been spared from the pain and death of abortion this month, according to Texas Right to Life.
The Texas heartbeat law went into effect Sept. 1, prohibiting abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy. The U.S. Supreme Court refused Planned Parenthood’s and other pro-abortion groups’ request to temporarily block enforcement of the law. However, the court battle is not over.
Unique from other state heartbeat laws, the Texas law includes a private enforcement mechanism that allows people to file lawsuits against abortionists who violate the law and those who help them.
It is these lawsuits and the risk of financial loss that are deterring the abortion industry from breaking the law, Rebecca Parma, senior legislative associate at Texas Right to Life, explained at The Federalist this week. (LifeSite News)
