Having relinquished America’s 17th- and 18th-century Judeo-Christian heritage and Biblically based founding, contemporary “progressive” America finds itself in the position of a blind man in a dark alley looking for a black cat.
Americans thus can no longer make heads or tails of what constitutes absolute truth, thereby enabling cultural Marxism and profane secular progressivism to serially adulterate the culture established by its Christian founders.
Last week, former U.S. Attorney General William Barr accepted an award named after former President Ronald Reagan’s Attorney General Ed Meese. In his acceptance speech he warned “about the greatest threat to religious liberty in America today: the increasingly militant and extreme secular-progressive climate of our state-run education system.
“Over the past 12 tumultuous months, there has been a great deal of discussion about the radical ideology being promoted in our schools, and what it means for national unity, public safety, and the health of our politics.
“We are rapidly approaching the point - if we have not already reached the point - at which the heavy-handed enforcement of secular-progressive orthodoxy through government-run schools is totally incompatible with traditional Christianity and other major religious traditions in our country. In light of this development, we must confront the reality that it may no longer be fair, practical, or even Constitutional to provide publicly funded education solely through the vehicle of state-operated schools.
“Now it seems to me that for the government to get into the business through public schools of indoctrination of students into secular beliefs systems that are directly contrary to the traditional religious beliefs of students and their families raises fundamental constitutional problems.
“It certainly raises a free exercise problem. As the Supreme Court has recognized nothing is more fundamental that the right of parents to pass religious faith to their children. It is monstrous for the state to interfere in that by indoctrinating children into alternative belief systems that are antithetical to those religious beliefs.” (David Lane; The American Renewal Project)

1. Rivlin’s office rebuts Likud, says Bennett can be PM 1st with Lapid as alternate - Times of Israel
As Yesh Atid party leader MK Yair Lapid was reportedly set to formally announce Tuesday that he had managed to put together a coalition after marathon overnight talks, the legal adviser to the president pushed back against a claim by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party that the nascent government could not have Yamina’s Naftali Bennett serve as its first premier.
The legal adviser to the office of President Reuven Rivlin, Udit Corinaldi-Sirkis, said in a statement that there was no legal reason why the MK entrusted with forming the coalition should not serve as alternate prime minister during the first part of the potential government’s term.
Negotiations that began Monday and went on till late into the night reportedly saw further progress between Yesh Atid and Yamina, as well as with Gideon Sa’ar’s New Hope, which also joined in some of the talks at the Kfar Maccabiah youth village near Ramat Gan. Lapid was reportedly preparing to tell Rivlin later Tuesday that he has mustered a majority, which he would then seek to have approved in a Knesset vote next week. (Read more)

2. New gov't planning sweeping concessions to Bedouin sector - Israel National News
Opposition leaders working to form a new government led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid have agreed to ‘unprecedented’ concessions to the Bedouin sector, according to a report by Channel 12 Tuesday morning.
Journalist Amit Segal quoted sources in the United Arab List (Ra’am) who claimed that they had reached agreements in talks with the parties involved in forming the new government that would radically reduce law enforcement efforts against illegal Arab construction across southern Israel in exchange for UAL’s support for the new government.
The sources claimed that they had received promises that the new government would halt all law enforcement actions against illegal Bedouin construction in the Negev, and that the Bedouin Resettlement Authority would be dissolved.
Furthermore, the sources said that they had been assured that the new government will legalize a number of illegal Bedouin settlements in the Negev, and that large numbers of illegal buildings in other Bedouin towns will be retroactively legalized. (Read more)

3. PM vows to counter Iran's nuclear ambitions even at cost of 'friction with US' - Israel Hayom
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Tuesday that he would not shy away from a clash with the US as part of his efforts to counter Iran's nuclear program to ensure Israel's survival.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony for newly appointed Mossad chief David Barnea, Netanyahu vowed that "Israel will deny Iran nuclear weapons" even if that complicates its relations with "our greatest friend: the United States."
According to Netanyahu, Israel might have to ultimately choose between "friction with the US and removing an existential threat" and it will choose the latter, which he said was constantly growing, but he added that he hoped Israel would not have to make that choice.
Netanyahu added: "The greatest threat we face is the existential threat created by Iran's attempts to get nuclear weapons. This could be in the form of threatening us – a small and clustered country – with annihilation, or with tens of thousands of missiles that would get a nuclear umbrella. This could pose a threat to the Zionist enterprise and we must counter this without stopping." (Read more)

4. Iran Has No Explanation for Uranium Traces, Stockpile 16x JCPOA Limit - Jewish Press
Iran, which is currently holding a stockpile of enriched uranium that is 16 times higher than the limit authorized in the crippled JCPOA nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, has offered no explanation for uranium traces discovered by UN IAEA inspectors at three previously undisclosed sites.
“After many months, Iran has not provided the necessary explanation for the presence of the nuclear material particles at any of the three locations where the Agency has conducted complementary accesses [inspections],” said a report by International Agency Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi to member states seen by Reuters.
“The Director-General is concerned that the technical discussions between the Agency and Iran have not yielded the expected results,” the report said.
“The lack of progress in clarifying the Agency’s questions concerning the correctness and completeness of Iran’s safeguards declarations seriously affects the ability of the Agency to provide assurance of the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program,” it added. (Read more)

5. Israeli Defense Minister Gantz to Make Snap White House Visit to Talk Iran, US Military Aid - Algemeiner
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz will make a snap visit to the US on Thursday for talks with the White House, the ministry said. Gantz is expected to meet with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to discuss the Iran nuclear issue.
Also on the agenda will be the just-finished Operation Guardian of the Walls against the Gaza-based terror group Hamas, regional issues, and Israeli acquisition of military materiel from the US.
Gantz, who will be the highest ranking Israeli official to visit the White House thus far, will reportedly also discuss the aftermath of Guardian of the Walls, including a possible prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, the reconstruction of Gaza, the strengthening of the Iran Dome defense system, and tensions on Israel’s northern border. 1. U.S. imports rare Iranian oil in March despite sanctions - Reuters
The United States imported a rare cargo of 1.033 million barrels of Iranian crude in March despite sanctions on Iran’s energy sector, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed. The cargo is only the second oil import by the United States from Iran since late 1991, data on EIA’s website showed.
The EIA could not be immediately reached for comment. (Read more)

2. UN watchdog hasn't had access since February to monitor Iran's nuclear program - Just The News
The United Nations atomic watchdog group said Monday it hasn't been able to access important data needed to monitor Iran's nuclear program since late February.
The International Atomic Energy Agency reported it has "not had access to the data from its online enrichment monitors and electronic seals, or had access to the measurement recordings registered by its installed measurement devices" since Feb. 23, according to the Associated Press.
Iran started limiting access for inspectors to monitor its nuclear facilities in February in a bid to pressure the U.S. government and President Biden to lift sanctions imposed on the country by Donald Trump after the former president pulled out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
The 2015 deal only allowed Iran to stockpile 202.8 kilograms (447 pounds) of enriched uranium, but as of May 22, the IAEA estimated Iran has 3,241 kilograms (7,145 pounds) stockpiled, its highest level ever.
The IAEA also said it was awaiting answers from Iran regarding three sites where inspections revealed traces of uranium of man-made origin. (Read more)

3. Barack Obama: Joe Biden ‘Finishing the Job’ with My Former Staff’ - Brietbart
“I think that what we’re seeing now, is Joe and the administration are essentially finishing the job,” he said in an interview with New York Times columnist Ezra Klein. “And I think it’ll be an interesting test. Ninety percent of the folks who were there in my administration, they are continuing and building on the policies we talked about…”
Obama expressed his frustration that former President Donald Trump’s administration interrupted his ability to get credit for the strength of the economy.
That clouds what I think would have been a more impactful shift in political views towards Democrats as a result of my presidency,” he said. 4. Report: Joe Biden’s DHS May Bring Deported Illegal Aliens Back to U.S. - Brietbart
The open borders lobby shared a plan with the Biden administration to bring illegal aliens deported by former President Donald Trump’s administration back to the U.S., according to the Associated Press (AP). More than 935,000 illegal aliens were deported by the Trump administration.
The plan, open borders activists with the corporate-backed National Immigrant Justice Center suggest, could be done through executive order by Biden and create an office inside DHS that allows deported illegal aliens to submit requests to return to the U.S.
The AP reports:
The plan asks the government to take into account factors like people who were eligible for legal status and had applied before being deported or those who have compelling circumstances. The proposal has been shared with White House staff, the group said. It plans to invite Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to discuss the proposal and include a letter signed by 75 immigrants’ rights organizations supporting the plan. (Read more)

5. Supreme Court shuts down attempt to treat asylum-seekers' testimony as credible - Washington Examiner
The Supreme Court on Tuesday shut down an attempt to treat the testimony of asylum-seekers as credible, siding with the federal government against people seeking refuge in the country.
The court unanimously found that a previous ruling from the California-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit had incorrectly ruled that in immigration cases, noncitizens' testimonies must be treated as credible or true. The court vacated the 9th Circuit's decision and sent it back to lower courts for further consideration.
In the case, two men, Cesar Alcaraz-Enriquez and Ming Dai, had sought to remain in the United States but were found ineligible based on discrepancies in their testimonies. Alcaraz-Enriquez was accused of lying about beating and raping his girlfriend. Dai was accused of omitting a visit to China when he claimed he was fleeing the communist country.
In both cases, Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote, the 9th Circuit was wrong to interfere because of a technical question. That court, he said, had no place in imposing its own rules on the administrative requirements of the Immigration and Nationality Act when immigration judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals govern that area. 6. Law enforcement outraged after ‘Blue Lives Murder’ apparel surfaces on Amazon - New York Post
Amazon is still hawking “Blue Lives Murder” merchandise almost a year after similar anti-cop gear first came to light — sparking renewed outrage from the Big Apple’s detective’s union, who accused the e-tailer of putting cops “at peril and risk.” In a recent letter, the Detectives’ Endowment Association demanded Amazon stop selling the “disgusting” items emblazoned with the message “Blue Lives Murder.”
“It has come to my attention that your website is selling tee-shirts (sic) and other items emblazoned with the words ‘Blue Lives Murder,'” reads part of the letter sent by the DEA to the company’s Chief Financial Officer Brian Olsavsky and obtained by The Post.
“It’s disheartening that your company would allow this disgusting motto on your sales platform.”
As of Sunday, apparel including an $8.99 black polyester “Blue Lives Murder” face mask and T-shirts and hoodies featuring with the cop-hating slogan — as well as the message “Blue Lives Aren’t Real” — could readily be found for sale on Amazon. (Read more)

7. Stefanik cosponsors House GOP bill that would ban Black Lives Matter banners at U.S. embassies - Just The News
Fresh off her replacement of Rep. Liz Cheney as House GOP Conference chairwoman, Rep. Elise Stefanik is cosponsoring a bill to prevent U.S. embassies from hoisting "political" flags, which would include the Black Lives Matter banner.
The Stars and Stripes Act is a direct response to Secretary of State Antony Blinken's recent cable to chiefs of mission, obtained by Foreign Policy, that grants "blanket written authorization" to display such flags and banners. It's not a requirement but rather an encouragement to display the flags as "appropriate in light of local conditions," a spokesperson said.
The GOP House bill calls for a ban on flags at diplomatic and consular posts with few exceptions including the U.S. flag, state flags and flags of host countries.
Lead sponsor Rep. Nicole Malliotakis condemned the State Department's encouragement to fly "inherently political flags that are in no way affiliated" with the U.S. government. (Read more)

8. World’s largest meat producer hit by cyberattack, shutting down operations on multiple continents - DML News
JBS said it was hit by a cyberattack, disrupting operations for the world’s biggest meatpacker on multiple continents. Some of the biggest U.S. meat-processing plants halted processing operations after the attack, according to worker representatives and notices shared with JBS employees, including facilities in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Texas. Representatives for JBS had no further comment on its plant operations.
The attack on JBS, which sold $52.4 billion worth of meat and other products globally in 2020, is the latest cyberattack to demonstrate the rising and potentially costly risk to corporate operations posed by such incursions.
The Wall Street Journal explained that JBS processes nearly a quarter of U.S. beef and about one-fifth of pork.
Operations at several plants in the U.S. were halted by the cyberattack, including Souderton, Pa.; Greeley, Colorado; Cactus, Texas; Ottumwa, Iowa; and Worthington, Minnesota. The attack on JBS also hit Australia hard, where the company is Australia’s largest meat and food processing company with 47 facilities across the country, according to a separate report by NBC News. 9. Gov. Ron DeSantis Signing Landmark Bill to Protect Women’s Sports - Brietbart
“In Florida, girls are going to play girls’ sports and boys are going to play boys’ sports,” DeSantis said Tuesday to applause. In April, the Florida legislature passed a measure preventing transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports at both the high school and college levels. DeSantis is signing the measure into law Tuesday during an event at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida.
As Breitbart News reported at the time, “The state House had earlier approved the bill, but it did not advance in the Florida Senate. Ultimately, the ban was made part of a popular charter school bill and was passed by a vote of 23-16 in the Senate, reported the News Service of Florida.”
While far-left Democrats have falsely dismissed such measures as discriminatory — Florida State Sen. Victor Torres (D) described it as a bill that will “destroy the lives of those children and their futures” — the bill itself simply makes an individual’s “biological sex” on a birth certificate the prime factor in determining if an individual is eligible to play on a female sports team. 10. Republicans hope to cut into House Democrats' majority in special New Mexico congressional race - Just The News
A special congressional election Tuesday has Democrats hoping to add to their narrow House majority and Republicans hoping to cut into that lead and perhaps gain insight into how to retake control on the chamber in the 2022 midterms.
The race features GOP state Sen. Mark Moores and Democratic state Rep. Melanie Stansbury, each nominated at their respective party’s convention, rather than in a traditional primary.
The seat was left open when Democratic Rep. Deb Haaland was appointed Interior secretary. Republicans will have to outperform voting history in the first congressional district, which is rated Democrats plus-7, by Ballotpedia. (Read more)

Dems And The Great Voter Cheat

All throughout the post-presidential election, Democrats and the news media repeated their narrative that there was absolutely no substantial voter fraud and that any such allegation was unsubstantiated. Democrat politician after politician fed the media cannon with the “no voter fraud” fodder. Anyone and everyone who questioned the results of the election were labeled conspiracy junkies or worse. How then is it that the very first bill, HR/SB 1, the Democrats introduce Congress is the “For the People Act of 2021” ostensibly addressing voter fraud in the name of expanding voting rights? If fraud didn’t exist, there is no need to address it. In reality, this evil legislation seeks to legalize the great voter cheat.
And the Democrats are not denying it. In fact, just like they always do, they are telling us exactly what they are trying to do—full-fledged Democracy—where everyone votes whether they are eligible or not. It’s just like when then-presidential candidate Joe Biden said in October 2020, “We’re in a situation where we have put together, and you guys did it for President Obama’s administration before this, we have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.” He telegraphed exactly what the Democrats were working on. Lost village emerges after 70 years underwater

|
After more than 70 years underwater, one of Italy's submerged cities has resurfaced. The lost Italian village of Curon, in northern Italy near the borders with Switzerland and Liechtenstein, recently emerged from under Lake Resia.
A lone church tower rising from the middle of a lake was the only indication that a small city, once home to 900 people who lived in 160 homes, ever existed. The historic steeple inspired a novel titled I'm Staying Here and a Netflix show called Curon.
The 14th-century church has also piqued interest among countless tourists who posted images of the unique sight to social media.
The village was flooded for a hydroelectric plant and part of the merger of two nearby lakes, Resia and Curon—two of three natural basins in the Resia Pass area of the southern Alps— back in 1950, according to the BBC.
Curon had been part of Austria until 1919, therefore many of the residents were unable to speak Italian and were ill-equipped to fight the plan to unite the lakes. Their homes were eventually submerged for the sake of producing hydroelectric energy.
“All the houses were destroyed, except for the church tower that is always visible,” Luisa Azzolini, a local resident who captured the footage, told Storyful.
In April, the remnants of what was left of the village appeared briefly when the lake was temporarily drained for repair work and maintenance on the reservoir after leaks were discovered.

The 61-year-old American minister lives in Mozambique's Cabo Delgado Province where, since 2017, ISIS-linked militants have killed more than 2,600 people and displaced 700,000 in their quest to establish an Islamic caliphate. "If you are a Believer in Jesus you are one of the first who is right on the list," Baker said.
On March 24, 2021, Al Shabab conducted one of the worst Islamic terror attacks in all of southern Africa, as hundreds of fighters stormed the town of Palma, north of Baker's home, sending thousands running for their lives. "I was working in a company when the attack took place. I escaped and went into the forest to hide," Allue, a displaced resident from Palma, told reporters.
Dozens of civilians, including 12 foreigners, were killed, some beheaded on the beaches of Palma. "They were killing us, they were burning houses, and they were taking our children," Nina Diadara, another resident of Palma said after escaping the attack.
. . . Meanwhile, the March attack did little to deter Baker's humanitarian outreach as she continues to minister to thousands who fled Palma. "We've ramped up our efforts so now we are feeding 34,000 individuals a day and mostly comforting the broken, holding them in our arms, praying with them," Baker told CBN News. She says that when threats of danger rise, she tells her team to be wise, take necessary precautions and "Don't be afraid but fix your eyes on Jesus, He takes away the fear and puts relentless courage in you." terrorists, choosing instead to share Christ with the lost. We ask for a move of divine
intervention in the case of each evangelist, who are putting their lives on the line for
our faith, that their lives may be spared and for the witness of the Gospel to continue
to go forth across the nations. Come, Lord Jesus we pray, come!
