GOP lawmakers accused of 'trespassing' at DC prison holding Capitol riot suspects
|
|
A group of Republican lawmakers were accused of "trespassing" on the property of a Washington, D.C. correctional facility Thursday, after they attempted to view the "conditions of the January 6th prisoners."
Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz of Florida, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, and Louie Gohmert of Texas were refused entry by the D.C. Department of Corrections as they tried to make contact with inmates held on charges related to the Capitol riot.
"You right now are obstructing entrance into this facility," an officer informed GOP lawmakers in a video posted to Twitter.
Gohmert and Greene objected to being told they were trespassing. "We’re the people that vote on whether or not to fund you, at what level, and we’re trespassing?" Gohmert said to the officer. "My gosh the government is upside down," he added.
Gaetz tweeted a video of himself walking up to one of the building's doors and attempting to enter. "The door's locked and we’re just here to ask questions and now they’ve locked the door and not given us access," Gaetz said.
"This was apparently a bait and switch. We are here just to speak to a supervisor and when the supervisor came out and we came out to have that discussion, they literally ran behind us and locked the doors," he added.
The lawmakers' attempts to get inside the correctional facility followed a Tuesday press conference outside of the Department of Justice where they demanded answers from the Biden administration as to the treatment of those charged in the Jan. 6 attack.
The group, joined by Arizona Republican Rep. Paul Gosar, alleged that those charged in the attack on the Capitol are "political prisoners." The lawmakers have questioned whether the prisoners are being treated unfairly and accused the federal government of concealing their living conditions.
"We suspect there is a two-tier justice system in the United States, for Trump supporters that are charged for Jan. 6 and catch-and-release for BLM rioters," Greene said Thursday.

1. Palestinian Boy Shot by Israelis in West Bank Dies: PA Ministry - Algemeiner
i24 News – A Palestinian boy wounded by Israeli army fire in the West Bank on Wednesday has died from his wounds, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Mohamad al-Alami, 12, died in the town of Beit Omar, to the northwest of Hebron, after he was shot in the chest while sitting in a stationary car with his father, the ministry said in a statement.
An Israeli military spokesperson said the army was looking into the incident, The Times of Israel reported. While there were no reports of clashes in Beit Omarat at the time, intense internal Palestinian violence occurred in the town in recent days, the news site said.
He is the second young Palestinian to die of wounds allegedly sustained by Israeli fire in days.
On Saturday a 17-year-old Palestinian died from wounds he received the day before.
Mohammed Munir al-Tamimi, who suffered gunshot wounds to the stomach, died in hospital a day after violence in the flashpoint Palestinian village of Beita, the Palestinian health ministry said, .(Read more)

2. Israeli Senior Citizens to Start Receiving Third Jab to Fight COVID-19 on Aug. 1 - Jewish Press
Israelis ages 60 and up will begin receiving a third “booster” shot of COVID-19 vaccine next week, the Health Ministry announced Thursday.
The injection is only available to those age 60 and over whose last shot was five months ago, or longer.
The ministry’s coronavirus vaccination committee voted in an absolute majority late Wednesday night to approve a third shot for Israeli senior citizens.
“The decision was based on considerable research and analysis, as well as the rise in risk of the Delta variant wave,” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in a statement released to media.
“Israel has already vaccinated 2,000 immunosuppressed people with a third dose with no severe adverse events, and now we’re rolling out a national third dose campaign. (Read more)

3. Erdan to UN Security Council: ‘Extremist narratives’ will ‘keep region stuck in the past’ - World Israel News
Israeli Ambassador to United Nations Gilad Erdan warned against “adopting the narratives of the extremists in the Middle East” during a UN Security Council session on Wednesday, saying that doing so would “keep the region stuck in the past.”
Erdan, who also serves as ambassador to the U.S., contrasted recent milestones in Israel’s warming ties with the United Arab Emirates and Morocco with parties trying to “keep the Middle East stuck in a dark age of conflict.”
“Israel and more and more moderate Arab states are working to move beyond the past of hate, instability and fundamentalism, towards a future of dialogue, tolerance and peace,” he told the debate. “Unfortunately, terrorist groups like Hamas, and radical regimes like Iran, oppose this vision of a brighter future.”
He also highlighted recent steps taken by Iran to increase the production of enriched uranium, and its foiled plot to kidnap Iranian American journalist Masih Alinejad. (Read more)

4. Wildfire ravaging areas of natural beauty rages in Lebanon, spreads to Syria - Times of Israel
QOBAYAT, Lebanon — Lebanese firefighters were struggling for the second day to contain wildfires in the country’s north that have spread across the border into Syria, civil defense officials in both countries said Thursday.
The fires killed at least one person, a 15-year-old boy, who was helping firefighting efforts in Lebanon.
Lebanon’s civil defense said it deployed 25 fire trucks, supported by four air force helicopters and military units, to put out the blaze. But the fires continued to rage, spreading east, and have already affected large swaths of forest in the mountainous north.
Residents posted videos and images of scorched forests, blackened trees, and fires on mountaintops, as the blaze closes in on the village of Qobayat. (Read more)

5. Toronto man assaulted in broad daylight for being Jewish - Israel National News
A Toronto Jewish man walking his dog near his home was the victim of an anti-Semitic attack on Wednesday morning.
According to B’nai Brith Canada, Sam Brody, who was wearing a kippah, was walking his dog in the Midtown area of Toronto. A man passing by in the opposite direction accosted Brody, pushing him into a wooden fence. He was knocked to the ground. The man yelled: “F**k you, you Jew – you’ll never take Israel, free Palestine!”
“Unfortunately, in this day and age there is a big problem with anti-Semitism and I experienced it firsthand this morning,” said Brody in a video he posted to Facebook.
“I’m incredibly shook up from this incident. The reason I’m making this video is to show those who aren’t aware that anti-Semitism is a very real and growing problem in our country and around the world, and unfortunately people use Israel as a platform to attack Jews. Being anti-Israel is the politically correct way of being an anti-Semite today,” he said. (Read more)

1. When VACCINATED people are the ones falling ill from COVID-19, the media contorts reality to blame the UNVACCINATED – Pandemic News
An alleged new “cluster” of the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) is supposedly spreading throughout the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts, and as usual, the mainstream media is blaming the “unvaccinated.”
Ironically enough, Cape Cod has one of the highest rates of compliance with Chinese Virus injections anywhere in the state, and yet people there are getting sick with the Fauci Flu at a substantially higher rate than in areas where the jab rate is considerably lower.
A local official reportedly told ABC News that the “vast majority” of the 132 alleged “cases” of the Chinese Virus in Cape Cod occurred in people who had obediently rolled up their sleeves for permanent DNA modification via lethal injection. 2. New COVID-19 Deaths Now Exploding in Most Heavily Vaccinated Country in the World: Israel - Pandemic News

3. The Pointless Drive to Make Masks Great Again – Zerohedge
Just when the forces of rationality had seemingly established a beachhead in the public health domain, they’re back on defense again, as the CDC declares vaccinated and unvaccinated people should wear masks indoors in areas of the country experiencing high transmission, and every schoolchild should be condemned to wear a mask all day long.
The moves, which come in response to surging case counts, seem to demonstrate an impulse that animates many questionable government policies: "We have to do something," regardless of whether that something can be reasonably expected to have a material impact on the problem at hand.

5. Massive 8.2 Earthquake Rocks Alaska Peninsula – Zerohedge
Tsunami warnings were lifted for parts of Alaska after a monster of an earthquake rocked its peninsula early Thursday. The magnitude 8.2 quake struck off Alaska's Aleutian Islands chain, which prompted immediate tsunami warnings and evacuations in Kodiak.
According to NBC News, tsunami warnings for parts of Alaska were later lifted. A tsunami watch was also canceled for Hawaii. The Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management tweeted that the State Emergency Operations Center was activated. (Read more)

6. Auditors Finish Counting Ballots in Arizona’s Maricopa County - The Epoch Times
Auditors in Arizona’s largest county on Wednesday finished a third count of ballots and will shift to compiling a draft report on the audit results.Workers overseen by retired auditor Randy Pullen, a former Arizona Republican Party chair, completed the third count at the Wesley Bolin Building on the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix, according to Arizona Senate President Karen Fann.
“The physical tabulation of the ballots are complete and are being returned to Maricopa County tomorrow,” Fann told The Epoch Times via email. The data gathered by the auditors will now be taken to their labs for analysis. (Read more)

7. Michigan Governor Rakes in Millions for Re-election Campaign From Out-of-State Donors – The Epoch Times
LANSING, Mich.—Though a favorite punching bag for conservative media personalities and the object of several recall petition efforts by her own citizens, Michigan’s Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is very popular with big donors.
Campaign finance reports filed with the Michigan secretary of state show that from Jan. 1 to July 20, Whitmer raised a nonelection-year record of $8.6 million dollars in campaign contributions, with $1,250,000 coming from just five donors, three of whom are from outside Michigan.
Among the highest contributors was Illinois Democratic governor and billionaire J.B. Pritzker, who gave Whitmer’s campaign $250,000. The Stryker sisters, Patricia and Ronda, both wealthy heiresses, philanthropists, and progressive activists, donated $250,000 each toward Whitmer’s reelection. (Read more)

The Senate on Wednesday agreed to take up a bipartisan infrastructure package, hours after senators and the White House announced they had reached a deal after weeks of closed-door haggling.

9. Biden Calls on Congress to Extend Eviction Ban With Days Until Expiration – The Hill
The White House called on Congress to pass an emergency extension of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) eviction ban on Thursday, with three days until it expires, insisting the administration does not have the legal power to extend it after a recent Supreme Court ruling.
“Given the recent spread of the delta variant, including among those Americans both most likely to face evictions and lacking vaccinations, President Biden would have strongly supported a decision by the CDC to further extend this eviction moratorium to protect renters at this moment of heightened vulnerability,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement. 10. Georgia Seeks Dismissal of Dept of Justice Lawsuit Over Voting Law – The Epoch Times
The state of Georgia on Wednesday asked a judge to toss a case brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ) over a voting law passed earlier this year and signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp.The federal lawsuit “fails to plead a legally cognizable claim under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act,” Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, a Republican, wrote in the 37-page filing in USA v. Georgia.
Legal precedent holds that discriminatory results must be found to affirm a violation of the act, Carr said.“The Court will search in vain for such allegations in the complaint because DOJ cannot plausibly allege that SB 202 has any discriminatory results,” he added. (Read more)

11. Bombshell: Pfizer Engineered Agreements with Governments Saying They had to pay for the Covid-19 Vaccines Whether They Worked or not with NO Recourse for Injuries or Failures – Pandemic News
Blockbuster revelations posted to social media earlier this week make it clear, again, why fewer and fewer Americans trust Big Pharma and other medical corporations.
A Twitter user posted a copy of the contract Pfizer, who makes one of three COVID-19 vaccines along with Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, requires governments to sign who purchase the still-experimental treatment. According to excerpts, there is no way for the pharmaceutical company to lose, even if its vaccine is dangerous, ineffective, or counterproductive in any way.
Here are the details, according to a Twitter user named Ehden, who begins a lengthy thread this way: “Pfizer has been extremely aggressive in trying to protect the details of their international COVID19 vaccine agreements.” (Read more)

Be Prepared For "Beast-Like" Vaccine Mandates

President Joe Biden will have a government-wide vaccine mandate. The Justice Department craftily wrote an opinion that the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the COVID vaccines does not make it illegal for the government and the business sector to mandate vaccinations. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky said that a European-style health pass mandate in the US “may very well be a path forward.” Tuesday, the CDC announced that vaccinated people should wear masks in indoor public areas. All this, when compared to a month ago, daily COVID infections per 100,000 have shot up from 9,685 to 80,701 and daily deaths per 100,000 have risen from 279 to 421.
Reality. “Breakthrough” cases of those being vaccinated yet becoming infected and/or dying appear to be on the rise. CDC reports there were 10,262 breakthrough cases from January 1-April 30, and it stopped counting such cases in May. These breakthrough cases may be important because they indicate vaccine effectiveness. While there is a rise in infections, the percentage of deaths due to COVID infections is currently about 1/3 of the average. This may indicate that the virus, even in its variants, is losing strength. Notwithstanding, people over 65 years of age are at most risk of contracting the virus and dying from it, according to the CDC statistics. TX Gov: My Job Is Now to Prevent President Biden from Importing COVID-19 to My State

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he has been forced to take matters into his own hands to protect public safety because President Joe Biden refuses to do his job and secure the nation’s southern border.
On Wednesday, Abbott issued an executive order banning the ground transportation of illegal aliens who are infected or potentially infected with COVID-19 into Texas communities.
The governor cited “a 900 percent increase in the number of migrant detainees who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Rio Grande Valley” sector — as one of the key reasons why he issued his order.
The order also directs the Texas Department of Public Safety to stop any vehicle “upon reasonable suspicion of such violation and reroute such vehicles back to its point of origin or a port of entry.” Any vehicle that violates the executive order will be impounded, the governor warned.
Abbott said the record recent spike in illegal border crossings has led to a catastrophic increase in coronavirus infections among illegal aliens, who are then released across Texas and the United States by the Biden administration. (Western Journal) Read more.

Five retired Navy SEALS are running for Republican seats in the House of Representatives in a collective effort to get more veterans in Congress. Retired SEALs Brady Duke (R-Fla.), Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.), Eli Crane (R-Ariz.), Morgan Luttrell (R-Texas) and Ryan Zinke (R-Mt.) joined Fox News’ Steve Doocy on "Fox & Friends" to discuss why they are running and what they plan to accomplish.
1. Ryan Zinke, the former interior secretary, plans to address the division in America. "A lot of my friends say, ‘look, the U.S. is falling apart. It can't be fixed.’ It certainly can be fixed," he said. "There’s no one better in crisis than SEALs Special Forces. We're going to win, and we're going to save America."
2. When asked why he wants to run for Congress, 14-year military veteran Morgan Luttrell said, "I don’t." "It's just most certainly out of necessity," Luttrell said. "We have to bring our country back to center. That's why we're all running, because we believe so much in the red, white and blue. "
3. Brady Duke, operating as a sniper during his deployment to Afghanistan, views Congress as another opportunity to serve his country. What I learned as a Navy SEAL, we go through high-intensity training. We adapt to stress really well. And I think we perform our best under stress," Duke said. "We learn to prioritize and execute and take decisive action when there are dire consequences. And I think that's absolutely what needs to happen at this point in our country."
4. Derrick Van Orden, who served five combat deployments during a 26-year career in the military, emphasized the consequences of inflation. He plans to address "irresponsible, out-of-control spending" by Congress.
5. Eli Crane joined the military after 9/11 and, like Duke, views Congress as another chance to serve America. "Most of us don't want to go to Washington," Crane said. "We have no desire to do that. But we're concerned about this country, and we want to do something about it." Crane plans to focus on election integrity, if elected, but noted that the border crisis is also a big priority for the people he would represent in Arizona.

Please find below a small excerpt from this very important article, which describes efforts that are now ongoing to bring reconciliation, forgiveness and healing between American citizens and our Native American tribes. This article shares the history of the Native American Apology, that was written by (then) Senator Sam Brownback in 2009, and later received on behalf of the Native peoples by Niegel Bigpond of the Yuchi Tribe.

teachings beginning on August 15th. We all have much to learn, and to repent for, our tragic history with the Native peoples, and how we can move now to bring reconciliation, restoration and repentance, which will help to bring healing to our beleaguered nation.

Negiel Bigpond’s family was forced from their land and marched across the country on the Trail of Tears.
Bigpond, who is Yuchi, was sent away from his family as a child to what were known as Indian boarding schools, where he remembers being made to cut his hair and dress differently, as well as being punished for speaking his Yuchi language.
Now he’d like an apology — or, rather, he’d like the United States to acknowledge the official apology it already has made to Native American peoples, which was buried in a defense spending bill and signed into law in 2010.
And he’s not the only one.
Bigpond and Sam Brownback, the former Kansas governor, senator and U.S. ambassador, have launched a movement to raise awareness of the apology and ask President Joe Biden to formally recognize it in a ceremony at the White House Rose Garden.
“I just felt like it was time that the Native people receive an apology from this nation,” Bigpond said. “I believe it would help — not so much that we would get granted great finances and buy the land back or give the land back or anything like that. that the Biden adminstration would honor their request that there be a formal

We ask, too, that millions view this video, and take time in our own prayer closets and in our churches across the nation to offer prayers of repentance for our sins against these men and women, and to seek new ways to bring healing and help to the Native Tribes on the land. Amen.

NASA Seeks Partners for Near-Earth Communications
|

As NASA prepares to return astronauts to the Moon and travel deeper into the solar system, it seeks to enhance near-Earth operations through partnerships with commercial satellite communications (SATCOM) providers. Using commercially-provided SATCOM will reduce cost, increase efficiencies, and open new market opportunities for American companies, while allowing the agency to focus on deep space exploration and science missions.
The agency has released an Announcement for Proposals to establish one or more partnerships between NASA and SATCOM companies to develop and demonstrate the feasibility of providing end-to-end operational capabilities for near-Earth users. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EST, Aug. 20, 2021.
“As we work on new communications technologies for deep space, we want to divest from agency systems to leverage commercial capabilities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs for our near-Earth operations,” said Eli Naffah, Communications Services Project Formulation Manager at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. “By becoming one of many customers, we believe this new approach will help drive new markets for American providers.” Read More

Faithful head to Lebanon, Kansas, center of mainland U.S., to pray for America

Christians from around the country gathered in the geographic center of the 48 contiguous U.S. states near Lebanon, Kansas, Friday to pray for America.
The event called Prayer at the Heart of America was organized by P. Douglas Small, president of Project Pray.
The website for the event states “Prayer At the Heart is a call to the family of faith, and the invitation is extended to everyone who believes that God is able to heal our land and that He is our hope for revival and restoration. Without question, our nation has turned its back on its Judeo-Christian heritage and foundation. The truth of God’s Word is being ignored and rejected. Our sin has increased, and the moral fiber of our nation has been defiled.”
Participants prayed specifically for healing in the racial and political division in America. In what the organizers claim was the first gathering of its kind, people came together for seven hours to pray in a field next to the geographic landmark. Songs of praise could be heard echoing in the fields nearby.
All 50 states had a representative that spoke words of prayer over their state. As each state was called to the stage, audience members cheered when their state was called. (Read more here)
