The House select committee investing the Jan. 6 incidents at the Capitol are staging "political theater," not mounting an attempt at getting at the truth, Rep. Guy Reschenthaler said Tuesday on Newsmax.
"The Republicans that leader (Kevin) Mccarthy selected to be on the commission would have asked those tough probative questions, but let's get something straight; this is not about getting to the truth," the Pennsylvania Republican said on Newsmax's "John Bachman Now."
Instead, Reschenthaler said, the hearings and committee are "not a real investigation," but a way for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to "control the narrative" rather than addressing "what's going on in the streets right now, rising crime rates, inflation that's hitting the working class incredibly hard, chaos on the southern border, and aggressive adversaries abroad."
But as long as Pelosi and the mainstream media are talking about Jan. 6, "they're not talking about the disastrous policies and the acts, the absolute chaos that's going on at the White House," he maintained. "That's what this is really about."
He also disagreed that the committee, which has just two Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, can be described as being bipartisan or nonpartisan. Meanwhile, Pelosi refuses to seat "anyone that counters her narrative" on the committee, said Reschenthaler.
"It shows that this is a sham investigation," he said "This is hyperpartisan, and it's what Nancy Pelosi ultimately wants. She wants one-party rule, not just in this committee, but in Congress and in the entire nation ... they're drunk on the idea of one-party rule in total political dominance, and you see that as a microcosm in this commission that she set up and then had the gall of calling it bipartisan." 1. Knesset approves Bennett-Lapid rotation deal - Israel National News
The Knesset on Tuesday evening approved the rotation deal between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid.
The amendment to the Basic Law: Government passed with a majority of 61 MKs after a 15-hour debate.
The opposition left the hall in protest, claiming that the coalition had exceeded the quota of votes as agreed upon in the Knesset committee as part of the implementation of section 98, which sets out the rules of procedure. As a result, the vast majority of the opposition was not present for the final vote and only two MKs voted against the bill.
Under the coalition agreement, Bennett will serve as prime minister until September 2023, at which point Lapid will assume the role of prime minister. If the government lasts for its entire term, both men will have served two years and three months as prime minister. (Read more)

2. Historic Delegation of Iranians Bring Vision of Peace to Israel - CBN News
JERUSALEM, Israel - For decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran has committed great time and resources to the destruction of Israel. Over the years, cracks in support of the Islamic regime continue to grow. That helped lead to a historic visit to Israel this week by a group of Iranian ex-patriots.
The group’s trip came at a tumultuous time for Iran. Demonstrators in the country’s southwest are protesting the government’s decision to limit their water supply. Several people have been killed and more protests have spread throughout the country calling for regime change.
“As we heard on the streets of Iran, people were shouting against the Iranian government, ‘Israel is not our enemy. America is not our enemy. You are’ – referring to the Iranian regime – ‘our enemy.’ People in Iran realize who is their enemy and they are trying to do their best to get rid of the Iranian regime,” Dr. Amir Hamidi, a member of the delegation, told CBN News.
While these protests continue inside the country, Iranians are showing support to Israel for the first time. (Read more)

3. Iran says armed Mossad cell arrested over plot to provoke clashes at protests - Times of Israel
Iran said Tuesday it had arrested an armed cell working for Israel’s Mossad spy agency that was planning to use a cache of weapons to provoke violence during protests in the country.
Iran, which often blames Israel and the United States for internal unrest, has seen growing demonstrations in recent weeks over water shortages in the southwestern of the country.
Tehran did not clarify how many people were arrested, or their nationalities, but said they were detained on the country’s western border — Iran borders Turkey and Iraq to the west. It was unclear when the group was detained.
According to a report by the Mehr news agency, a large haul of weaponry was seized, including pistols, grenades, rifles, shotguns and ammunition. (Read more)

4. New Israeli Cases of COVID-19 Tops 2,000, First Time Since March - Jewish Press
The positivity rate of newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19 continues to rise. For the first time since March, the number of new cases in one day has topped 2,000, and the positivity rate climbed to 2.3 percent of the 92,707 tests that were carried out, Israel’s Health Ministry reported.
The ministry reported that 2,112 new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed on Monday.
At least 203 of the new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed Monday were those of Israeli travelers who returned from abroad over the past ten days, Israel’s Kan Newspublic broadcasting outlet reported.
Around 2,000 travelers who entered the state this month were infected with COVID-19, according to Israel’s Channel 12 News outlet. (Read more)

5. HRW accuses IDF, Hamas of committing war crimes in latest Gaza conflict - Jerusalem Post
Human Rights Watch on Tuesday issued a report accusing the IDF and Hamas of war crimes during the last Gaza war in May.
The war crimes accusations came two months after the end of the conflict and before Israel has released its own findings of certain incidents. These sometimes take several months, or even longer to complete.
HRW said, however, that “the Israeli military and Palestinian authorities have a long track record of failing to investigate laws of war violations committed in or from Gaza.”
Israel performed over 30 criminal probes and over 500 initial probes of incidents involving its soldiers in the 2014 Gaza war and during other incidents in recent years but HRW regards Israeli probes as whitewashing, including in the half-dozen or so cases where IDF soldiers have been sentenced to jail terms, saying the relatively short terms were too lenient. 1. Rep. Louie Gohmert blames Jan. 6 riot on Democrats and a government conspiracy - Dallas News
East Texas congressman Louie Gohmert suggested Sunday that the Jan. 6 riot was a left-wing conspiracy, denouncing the arrests of people who stormed the Capitol hoping to overturn President Donald Trump’s defeat as “intimidation” in the service of “tyranny.”
“I advocate for what Dr. King did — peaceful protests. But we can’t let them intimidate us from not protesting. That’s what this treatment of people that got arrested was all about — intimidation,” the Tyler Republican, a former trial judge, said at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
Federal authorities are still hunting for 300 suspects in the Capitol attack, and 535 people have been arrested.
Gohmert has been one of the most outspoken members of Congress echoing Donald Trump’s unproven claims that the election was stolen. On Jan. 6, Congress met to ratify the Electoral College tallies that by then each state had certified. Gohmert supported objections that would have nullified millions of votes.
Four days earlier, he had suggested that “violence in the streets” might be the only remaining option to block Joe Biden from becoming president.
On Sunday, at CPAC in Dallas, Gohmert suggested that Speaker Nancy Pelosi was to blame for the violent siege that sent lawmakers fleeing for safety, with Secret Service agents hustling Vice President Mike Pence into hiding for hours.
“On January 6th, the sergeant at arms had turned down, on behalf of the speaker, having National Guard there to help protect the Capitol. Why did that happen? You think they were setting things up?” said Gohmert, who won his seat in 2004. (Read more)

2. America’s Veterans Are Killing Themselves at an Alarming Rate: Report - Epoch Times
After an improvised explosive device (IED) left Army Sgt. Dominic McDaniel severely injured and unable to continue fighting in Iraq, the wounded combat veteran found civilian life nearly unbearable.
“I felt guilty because my guys got hurt, and I was in charge. It was my fault,” he said. “They started committing suicide when we got home pretty quick.”
McDaniel dealt with alcohol abuse, divorce, and severe depression before finding help; he now works for a non-profit organization that assists veterans who are dealing with trauma.
Many of his fellow veterans, however, haven’t been as fortunate.
“Now more people from my unit have committed suicide than died in combat,” the Iraq combat vet said. “It really kind of strips your humanity and soul away, war does.” (Read more)

3. Border Patrol Apprehends 20,000 Illegal Aliens in 1 Week in Busiest Sector - Epoch Times
South Texas’s Rio Grande Valley has been the busiest border sector for illegal alien crossings for years. But last week a sudden spike in numbers saw Border Patrol apprehend more than 20,000 illegal immigrants in one week.
“It’s the hottest part of the summer and apprehensions are skyrocketing!” Border Patrol Chief for the sector Brian Hastings wrote on Twitter on July 25.
Hastings said the number of large groups has increased, with a record-breaking 298 in one group encountered in La Grulla last week.
“Within this group, a subject exhibiting COVID-19 related symptoms was transported to the hospital. At the hospital, the migrant tested positive for COVID-19,” a press release from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stated. (Read more)

4. Pompeo says Republican Party can reclaim America with focus on faith - Fox News
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday laid out what he sees as the best way forward for the Republican Party and he said the focus should be on faith in God, which has been employed by some of the country's greatest leaders.
Pompeo, who is one of the most influential conservatives in the U.S., delivered his remarks at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California. He spoke about the Trump administration’s foreign policy achievements but mainly focused on the party’s future.
He said faith in God has been a source of strength in his personal life. He said without faith, it is "immensely difficult" to lead. He talked about the faith that soldiers have on the battlefield and the comfort that they take from "certain knowledge of everlasting life, after this existence." (Read more)

5. Thousands Protest Against ‘Fascist’ Vaccine Passports - Brietbart
Amid worldwide demonstrations against Chinese virus lockdowns and vaccine passports on Saturday, thousands of protesters gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square. One protestor told Breitbart London that she had never attended a protest in her life until this year, saying: “The vaccine passport system is the final straw, it’s the thin end of the wedge”.
“The funny thing is, is that all the conspiracy theories that exist keep on coming true.”
“Deaths have dropped, people are getting vaccinated, and in theory, that’s supposed to protect us and here we still are. I see no end to it, they are never going to let go of the powers that they have stolen, they are loving it too much,” she said.
Another protester told Breitbart London that he was not a so-called “anti-vaxxer” and had indeed already had one dose of a coronavirus vaccine — but he insisted that “I will not show my papers when the state asks for them because it has no right to do so.” (Read more)

6. Arizona Senate issues audit subpoena for Maricopa County routers - Washington Examiner
The Republican-led Arizona Senate served a new subpoena to Maricopa County officials seeking routers for its audit of the 2020 election. Bill Gates, a Republican member of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, revealed the development during an appearance Monday night on CNN.
“Right before I came on here, the board of supervisors received another subpoena from the state Senate ordering us to turn over the routers, in addition to some other information. And they threaten us in these papers that if we do not turn those over by Aug. 2 — so that’s next Monday — then we could be held in contempt," he said.
Images of the subpoena, which includes a demand for the routers or "virtual images of the same" as well as the public IP of each router as part of a broader demand for election-related materials, were later shared on social media by local reporters. (Read more)

7. Veterans Affairs to mandate COVID vaccine for health care personnel, first such mandate for federal agency - Fox News
Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough on Monday made COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for all VA health care personnel, the first such mandate by a federal agency.
The mandate includes physicians, dentists, nurses and others who work in patient-facing roles. The VA said it was taking this "necessary step" to keep the veterans it serves "safe." The VA said each employee will have eight weeks to be fully vaccinated. (Read more)
“We’re mandating vaccines for Title 38 employees because it’s the best way to keep veterans safe, especially as the delta variant spreads across the country," McDonough said Monday. An administration official stressed the importance of the move, saying it was imperative for patients to feel safe and not risk getting COVID from their health care providers. At this point, the Department of Veterans Affairs is the only federal agency that will require some employees to be vaccinated. (Read more)

8. Hunter Biden's art dealer said he wanted to be the 'lead guy in China' in 2015 - Fox News
The art dealer representing the president's son has longstanding ties to China and said in 2015 that he wanted to be the art world's "lead guy in China." Georges Berges, who is representing Hunter Biden as he ventures into the art world, has talked about his business dealings in China in the past, but his reported ties could pose an ethics issue as he sells Biden's art to anonymous buyers.
A representative for Berges previously told Fox News that the sales of Biden’s art will be kept "confidential." The White House has said they have an ethics plan in place to ensure the president's son doesn’t know who buyers are, though Hunter has raised eyebrows with plans to attend art shows where potential buyers will be in attendance.
Berges said in a 2015 interview with Resident that he wanted to be the art world’s leader in China. “My plan is to be the lead guy in China; the lead collector and art dealer discovering and nurturing talent from that region," Berges said. "I plan to find and discover and bring to the rest of the world those I consider China’s next generation of modern artists." (Read more)

9. Medical professionals call for COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers - Washington Examiner
Healthcare trade organizations have called for mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all U.S. hospital and long-term care workers, citing the uptick in cases caused by the delta variant.
All health care workers should get vaccinated for their own health, and to protect their colleagues, families, residents of long-term care facilities and patients. This is especially necessary to protect those who are vulnerable, including unvaccinated children and the immunocompromised,” groups such as the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as 54 others, wrote in a joint statement obtained by the Washington Examiner.
The joint effort among major healthcare trade groups reflects frustration about lagging vaccination rates in pockets around the United States, especially in the Deep South. Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama have each fully vaccinated less than 37% of their populations, according to an analysis from Bloomberg. (Read more)

10. CDC expected to backpedal on some masking guidelines - AP News
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was expected to backpedal Tuesday on its masking guidelines and recommend that even vaccinated people wear masks indoors in parts of the U.S. where the coronavirus is surging, a federal official said.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss details of the new policy. The CDC was expected to make an announcement later in the day.
The new guidance follows recent decisions in Los Angeles and St. Louis to revert to indoor mask mandates amid a spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations that have been especially bad in the South. The country is averaging more than 57,000 cases a day and 24,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations.
For much of the pandemic, the CDC advised Americans to wear masks outdoors if they were within 6 feet of one another.
Then in April, as vaccination rates rose sharply, the agency eased its guidelines on the wearing of masks outdoors, saying that fully vaccinated Americans no longer needed to cover their faces unless they were in a big crowd of strangers. In May, the guidance was eased further for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings.
The guidance still called for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings, like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but it cleared the way for reopening workplaces and other venues. (Read more)

11. Trump pumps up Susan Wright, widow of late congressman, previewing 2022 themes - Washington Examiner
Former President Donald Trump stumped for Susan Wright, his preferred candidate for Texas’s 6th Congressional District seat, ahead of Tuesday’s runoff election in a phone-in speech Monday night. He touched on the major themes that could provide a preview of Republican messaging in next year’s midterm elections: Border security, crime, critical race theory, and inflation.
Susan will vote to shut down Joe Biden's border disaster and defund Biden and Pelosi’s open-borders extremism. Nobody's ever seen anything like it,” Trump said. “Hundreds of thousands of people are pouring in every month. We've never seen anything like it. I couldn't believe — I figured it was incompetence, but maybe they actually want that.”
He added that Wright will “never defund the police” and vowed, ”She'll cut your taxes, just like I did." He lamented the price of gas going up. “That's like a double tax increase,” he said. (Read more)

Children As Battlefields

Children should not be battlefields. But the public school system, excuse me, the government schools, have made children the battlefield. The government schools are perpetrating great abuse on America’s children. They have allowed the LGBTQ agenda to confuse children about their sexuality. They are teaching revisionist history. They are promoting socialist principles and turning children against their parents. Some have suggested that the only way to reverse this brainwashing is to pull your children out of the school and homeschool them. It makes a lot of sense, but can be overwhelming to some. Notwithstanding, your child/grandchild should not be a battleground.
Consider the recent push back by parents in Loudoun County, Va where the school board there was taken to task for policies on transgender sports and bathrooms. The Marxist Critical Race Theory being pushed by Democrats, the National Education Association, and radical leftist groups like LGBTQ organizations, is yet another obvious battleground. Breitbart News reports that a fourth grade student in the Sartell-St. Stephen school district in Minnesota testified before the school board that students were required to complete an “equity survey” and were told not to “repeat any of the questions to our parents.” School boards don’t want to hear this opposition. And unless members are removed, there will be no changes. All this is part of a larger, more sinister agenda. Read More

Internationally recognized prophet, Jennifer LeClair, emailed me the other day. She was concerned about a number of reports globally of assassination attempts against leaders of nations. One, she said, had been successful.
This is even more concerning since the Lord warned me in 2019 of a spirit of violence being poured out in the earth. Many of you prayed against that when we put it out. Then, this year, Jennifer received a more specific word which she shares below.
Please take this very seriously. This is not an attack happening against a few small nations. It is a global attack and is much more concerning. There are prayer points below to help you with your intercession.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill Evades Clear Resolution

Majority expresses frustration over slow-moving negotiations
Senate members are experiencing mounting frustration as bipartisan infrastructure discussions proceed slowly. Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio, the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, said members of the minority are responsible for the delays. “We’ve offered to split the difference and they don’t seem to want to do that. It’s not we who’re stalling.”
Senator Rob Portman of Ohio, the lead negotiator for the Senate minority, defended their negotiation tactics, flatly stating that the majority members are “not being reasonable in their requests right now.” Though Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell has reiterated his commitment to passing the bill before August recess, the continued delays are concerning to government officials on both sides of the aisle.

The "Equality Act":
This Is Lurking Outside the Door

The misnamed “Equality Act” is the most dangerous ambush of religious freedom in America. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer used a special rule so he can push the Equality Act straight to the Senate floor. This means HR 5 is lurking right outside the door.
His acceleration instantly bypasses all committees. That means this dangerous bill is LIVE right now and can be voted on at any moment on the Senate floor!
The Senate is our last chance—our only chance—to stop this bill now.
This is not just a horrific threat to religious liberty; this is a full assault against you and every person and institution. This bill is designed to elevate the LGBT & Q agenda. It will make abortion a federal right and punish anyone who will not promote these radical agendas.
The Senate bill says the "Q" in LGBTQ stands for “Queer,” which includes about 550 sexually deviate paraphilias—including pedophilia that will become a protected class under this bill!
One activist group, LGBTQ Nation, wrote, the "Q in LGBTQ can also signify other sexual orientations and gender not covered by the acronym's preceding letters. If you're gender-neutral, non-binary, agender, genderfluid, pansexual, asexual, solosexual or something else not covered by LGBT, the Q has got you covered!"

We have bipartisan support to keep the filibuster—which requires 60 votes. The Democrats do not have 60 votes. That is why they are looking for ways to sneak this through on a majority voice vote. Every minute of every day we need one person on the floor to object. That objection will force a full vote for cloture that needs 60 senators.
We are working with senators to guard the floor. WE NEED EVERY VOTE AND EVERY VOICE. And we need your voice NOW to send a strong message to our senators to urge them to fight.

The fraudulent nightly network newscasts have devoted ZERO minutes to crime recently, even though crime is eating away at our cities and our Country. They don’t want to talk about it because it will hurt the political narrative of the Communist Democrats. Just think, six months ago we had the most secure Border in our history. Former California Senator Barbara Boxer was savagely assaulted and robbed yesterday in Oakland, where they defunded the police. Our once great cities, like New York, Detroit, San Francisco, and so many others, have become a paradise for criminals because of Democrats. We must give power back to police or America will never be safe. We cannot let Communist Democrats destroy our great cities. Great Salt Lake in 'dire state' as Western drought worsens

It's been nearly two months since Utah's governor asked citizens to pray for rain.
Having issued two drought emergencies over the course of three months and requested citizens to do their part in saving water, Gov. Spencer Cox asked for Utahns to take the first weekend of June to call upon "divine intervention," regardless of religious affiliation.
"By praying collaboratively and collectively asking God or whatever higher power you believe in for more rain, we may be able to escape the deadliest aspects of the continuing drought," Cox said during a video statement.
A month later, Gunnison Reservoir near Sterling, Utah, ran dry. It was listed at 0% capacity on July 10 with other reservoirs projected to follow. Of the state's 42 largest reservoirs, 26 of them were below 55% of available capacity as of July 21, according to the governor's office.
More than 99% of Utah is currently experiencing at least extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Nearly 70% of the state is experiencing exceptional drought conditions, including the area around Salt Lake City. Read More

1 million hours of prayer for the Tokyo Olympics

As all eyes turn to Tokyo for the Olympics and Paralympics, Japanese Christians are inviting the global Church to unite for one million hours of prayer for the spiritual transformation of their nation.
In Japan committed believers make up less than one percent of the population, It is the second largest un-reached people group in the world. Less than one per cent of its 126 million population attend church.
Japan 1 Million is led by the Japan international Sports Partnership (JiSP) and Japan Evangelical Missionary Association (JEMA). They are calling on churches, individuals and families across the world to unite in prayer for Japan as it takes centre stage during the Olympics and Paralympics.
Pastor Keishi Ikeda is the leader of JiSP. He says, "When it comes to the good news of Christianity being spread, I am driven by a vision to see the Japanese Church grow to ten million people by 2024.
"Imagine ten million Christians in Japan...This would change Japan," he said. "And not just Japan, we could send teams from Japan into other countries that many can't get into as our passport is the strongest in the world. "Working towards that vision, we had hoped to reach a million Japanese people during our Olympic outreach year. Covid closed those doors, but one door remained open; the door to prayer.
