Lapid and Gantz said to warn US:
Iran is close to nuclear threshold

Israeli authorities have warned US officials in recent days that Iran is closer than ever to attaining nuclear weapons, according to the Kan public broadcaster. Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Defense Minister Benny Gantz and other Israeli officials have addressed the issue with their American counterparts recently, issuing an “unusual warning,” according to the Sunday report.

Nuclear talks between world powers and Iran — attended indirectly by the US — have been ongoing for months in Vienna, but have stalled in recent weeks. “Something has to happen with the negotiations with Iran,” a senior diplomat told Kan. “This ‘limbo’ cannot be a time when Iran is quickly advancing toward becoming a nuclear threshold state.” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is working to schedule a meeting in Washington with US President Joe Biden next month, though he is hampered by his wafer-thin majority in the Knesset, requiring his presence for every crucial vote.

Since April, Tehran has been engaged in talks with world powers in Vienna over reviving a 2015 nuclear accord, with Washington taking part indirectly in the negotiations. The talks aim to return the US to the deal it withdrew from in 2018 under former president Donald Trump by lifting the sanctions reimposed on Tehran, and to have Tehran return to full compliance with nuclear commitments it has gradually retreated from in retaliation for sanctions.

Iran has confirmed that the talks will not resume until the ultraconservative new president, Ebrahim Raisi, takes office in August.

Israel has long opposed the nuclear deal and Biden’s stated intentions to reenter the treaty. “We would like the world to understand that the Iranian regime is violent and fanatical,” Bennett said last month. “It selected the ‘Hangman of Tehran’ as its president — a man who is willing to starve his own people for years in order to have a military nuclear program. That is a regime that one should not do business with.” Bennett added that Israel “will continue to consult with our friends, persuade, discuss, and share information and insights out of mutual respect. But at the end of the day, we will be responsible for our own fate, nobody else.” (Times of Israel) Read more.

- Lord, we pray that You will not allow Iran to produce or use nuclear weapons. We stand by faith between the destruction plans of Iran and the people of Israel and the rest of the world and declare, 'NO! You will not harm God's people!' in the  Mighty Name of Jesus!

- ''No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn.'' (Isaiah 54:17)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. IDF strikes Hamas targets in retaliation for incendiary balloons - Jerusalem Post

Israeli jets struck Hamas targets in response to the launch of incendiary balloons on Sunday, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit announced.

The strikes were aimed at several buildings in a Hamas military base and at infrastructure and utilities used for the group’s activities. The base was “adjacent to civilian sites, including a school,” the statement said.

The incendiary balloons were the first to be launched after three weeks of calm. They landed in Israeli territory and sparked at least three fires in the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel.

"The IDF will respond strongly to the continuation of terrorist attempts from the Gaza Strip," the military said. (Read more)

2. Israeli, Cypriot Foreign Ministers Express Concern Over ‘Provocative’ Turkish Moves - Algemeiner

i24 News – The foreign ministers of Israel and Cyprus both expressed concerns about Turkey’s “provocative” moves on the eastern Mediterranean island during a bilateral meeting Monday in Jerusalem.

“We share deep concern over the provocative moves that Turkey is leading in Cyprus,” Israeli Foreign Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid said in a statement released by the Foreign Ministry.

During the talks with Cyprus Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides, the two leaders discussed how to move forward on dealing with Turkey and also discussed cooperation in the political spheres, bilateral relations, water, trade and energy.

The United Nations Security Council on Friday condemned plans by Turkey and Turkish Cypriot leaders to partially reopen the abandoned resort of Varosha and called for an immediate reversal of the decision. The announcement triggered an angry reaction from the internationally recognized Greek Cypriot government and Western allies, including the United States, which called Turkey’s decision “unacceptable.”  (Read more)

3. Israel’s Environmental Protection Ministry Delays UAE Pipeline Deal - Algemeiner

JNS.org – Israel’s Environmental Protection Ministry froze an oil pipeline proposal with the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, pending further review.

Israeli Environmental Protection Minister Tamar Zandberg said she would push for a government debate regarding the necessity of the project, according to Globes.

She expressed doubt regarding the pipeline’s potential contribution to Israel’s economy, but said it would “dramatically endanger the most northern coral reef in the world and all tourism in Eilat,” according to the report.

The proposal involves transporting crude oil via a pipeline, or “land bridge,” connecting the ports of Eilat and Ashkelon, giving the UAE an alternative route to transport oil to the West. (Read more)

4. Israeli airlines launch direct route to Morocco’s Marrakesh - Times of Israel

Israir and El Al were set to launch direct flights between Israel and Morocco’s Marrakesh Sunday, nearly eight months after the two countries reached a US-backed normalization deal.

“There is great excitement from everyone involved in this historic event,” Israir Flight 6H061 captain Ishay Zacks told Army Radio Sunday morning.

“We are busy studying the destination, administrative coordination, preparing the plane,” he added, shortly before the flight was set to depart. (Read more)

5. CUNY resolution condemning ‘Israeli massacre of Palestinians’ sparks wave of union resignations - World Israel News

Some 50 City University of New York (CUNY) professors have resigned from their union after it passed a resolution that “condemns the massacre of Palestinians by the Israeli state’’ and Israel’s “expansionism and violent incursions into occupied territories,” the New York Post reported on Monday.

The resolution, which called CUNY to adopt BDS policies and said that the union “cannot be silent about the continued subjection of Palestinians to the state-supported displacement, occupation, and use of lethal force by Israel,” immediately sparked backlash among CUNY faculty.

Likening the plight of the Palestinians to the conditions of blacks in apartheid-era South Africa, the resolution did not mention the 4,000 rockets launched by Gaza-based terror groups into Israeli communities. (Read more)

1. Pelosi Adds Adam Kinzinger To Jan. 6 Commission, Doubles Down On Ousting Jordan, Banks | The Daily Caller

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi added Republican Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger to her Jan. 6 commission.

Pelosi told ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos that she planned to make the addition during a Sunday morning appearance on “This Week,” and within hours reports began circulating that he had been added. Pelosi also defended her decision to reject Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana from the group.

Stephanopoulos began by asking Pelosi about her decision to remove Jordan and Banks from the bipartisan commission, noting that Republicans had been very critical of the move.

“I believe the work of this committee, in order to retain the confidence of the American people, must act in a way that has no partisanship, is all about patriotism and I’m very proud of the members of the committee and I’m certain they will accomplish that goal,” Pelosi replied. “We have to, again, ignore the antics of those who do not want to find the truth. We will find the truth. That truth will have the confidence of the American people because it will be done patriotically and not in a partisan way.”

- Lord, we bind this spirit of control in the Name of Jesus and by the Power of His Blood. We rebuke this constant strife in Congress and pray for You to grant sound wisdom and a sound mind for all.

- ''A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.'' (Proverbs 16:28)

''I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)

2. CDC Is Considering Mask Mandates For Vaccinated Americans, Fauci Says | The Daily Caller

White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is considering recommending masks for vaccinated individuals as the Delta variant continues to surge.

Fauci spoke on CNN’s “State of the Union” about COVID-19 and was asked about one projection that suggests cases will continue rising if more Americans don’t get vaccinated. Fauci confirmed that “it’s not going to be good” and declared the country is “going in the wrong direction.” He also warned that the CDC is discussing mask mandates for people who have been fully vaccinated – a subject that the White House has been pressed on in recent weeks.

“This is under active consideration,” Fauci told CNN’s Jake Tapper regarding whether conversations about revising the mask guidelines for vaccinated Americans is ongoing. “If you’re asking am I part of the discussion, yes, I am part of the discussion. But I think what you are seeing, even though as of our conversation at this moment, the CDC still says and recommends that if you are vaccinated fully, that you do not need to wear a mask indoors.”

- Lord, these "guidelines'' have become so ridiculous that no one can figure them out from day to day. We pray for You to guide Your people, and repentance for those who are lying to us.

- ''Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.'' (Prov. 12:19)

3. DHS terminates two border wall contracts in Texas - CNNPolitics

US Customs and Border Protection is terminating two border wall contracts in the Laredo sector that cover approximately 31 miles, the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday.

In one of his first actions in office, President Joe Biden ordered a pause on wall construction and called for a review of projects and funds. Friday's announcement builds on the administration's decision to cancel all contracts for wall construction on the US-Mexico border that used funds originally intended for military missions and functions -- this time, targeting projects that fall under DHS funds.

The contracts for the Laredo sector projects covered around 31 miles of border barrier construction and were funded with DHS fiscal year 2020 appropriations. Construction had not yet started.

"CBP intends to engage in environmental planning concerning these barrier projects, including taking certain actions consistent with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other statues," DHS said in a statement, adding that the department continues to assess all other paused border barrier projects.

-  Lord, let this wall be built despite the Biden administration's moves. Let man not stand in the way, and let wisdom be granted to those who must find a way around the government.

- ''Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.'' (Proverbs 19:21)

4. Report: 1.8 Million Americans Have Turned Down Jobs To Stay On Unemployment | The Daily Wire

A new poll indicates that 1.8 million Americans have turned down job offers in order to stay on unemployment insurance.

Morning Consult surveyed 463 out-of-work American adults at the end of June. 13% — roughly one in eight — said that they had refused job offers while unemployed because they “receive enough money from unemployment insurance without having to work.” Others said that child care obligations, worries over COVID-19, and a lack of job flexibility limited their willingness to take new positions.

- Lord, with these figures, it's no wonder businesses are desperate for workers. We ask that something will happen to move them from the couch to the workplace, and be faithful. We believe that nothing is too hard for You, Lord Jesus.

- ''For nothing will be impossible with God.'' (Luke 1:37)

5. Analysts: Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion Spend May Cost $5.5 Trillion | The Daily Wire

A group of analysts predicts that Congressional Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation plan could actually cost up to $5.5 trillion.

As The Daily Wire recently reported, lawmakers are attempting to ram spending proposals through Congress without Republican approval. Their budget incorporates portions of President Biden’s American Families Plan and American Jobs Plan

Analysts at the Committee for a Responsible Budget cast doubt on whether the Democrats’ costs projections are accurate:

While the actual cost of this new legislation will ultimately depend heavily on details that have yet to be revealed, we estimate the policies under consideration could cost between $5 trillion and $5.5 trillion over a decade, assuming they are made permanent. In order to fit these proposals within a $3.5 trillion budget target, lawmakers apparently intend to have some policies expire before the end of the ten-year budget window, using this oft-criticized budget gimmick to hide their true cost.

- Father, we pray that You would extend Your hand over this horrific spending and stop it in its tracks. We take authority over these foolish proposals in the Mighty Name of Jesus and by His Shed Blood and bind them tightly to Your Word and Your Wisdom.

- ''Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.'' (Proverbs 28:26)

6. DOJ Drops Cases Against Five Visiting Chinese Researchers Accused Of Lying About Ties To China Military | The Daily Wire

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has reportedly dropped cases against five visiting researchers from China accused of lying about their ties to the Chinese military.

The Wall Street Journal described the move as “a major setback to a landmark effort to root out alleged Chinese intelligence gathering in the U.S.”

According to the outlet, federal prosecutors said in court documents filed late Thursday and Friday that “they would no longer pursue visa fraud and other charges against the scientists, including biomedical and cancer researchers in California and a doctoral candidate studying artificial intelligence in Indiana.”

The WSJ reported: “The academics had been arrested last July in an FBI sweep that began after another researcher, Wang Xin, acknowledged to law enforcement – as he tried to leave the U.S. – that he had lied about his military service on his visa application to boost his chances of gaining admission to the U.S., and had been tasked with bringing back some information by a supervisor.” He had worked in a lab at the University of California-San Francisco.

- Lord, at a time when China is actively interfering in US research and using fraud to do it, we pray that You will bring justice in this case. Let the research done by the US be safeguarded.

- ''When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.''    (Proverbs 21:15)

7. Judge Forces School to Accept Trans Runner on Girls Team (breitbart.com)

A West Virginia judge ruled that a school must allow a biological boy to try out for a girls’ cross-country team despite the state’s recent law limiting schools to allowing only students born as females into girls’ sports.

On Wednesday, Bill Clinton-appointed Judge Joseph Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia issued a take-down of the state’s Save Women’s Sports Bill and ordered the state to allow 11-year-old transgender student Becky Pepper-Jackson to try out for a girl’s middle school cross-country team.

Goodwin claimed that the law is not valid while it faces a pending case against it, and the transgender student must be allowed to compete as if the law does not exist. “While this case is pending,” the judge wrote, “[the student] will be permitted to sign up for and participate in school athletics in the same way as her girl classmates.”

The law states that “[a]thletic teams or sports designated for females, women, or girls shall not be open to students of the male sex where selection for such teams is based upon competitive skill or the activity involved is a contact sport.” The law maintains that students will compete only on teams that correspond with their “biological sex.”

- Lord, we pray that You will protect the biological girls on this team and bring repentance to all involved in this fight. Let truth be seen!

- ''Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.'' (Psalm 86:11)

 8. Republicans, Democrats Pressure Biden for Plan on Restoring Delphi Pensions (breitbart.com)

Republican and Democrat lawmakers are asking President Joe Biden’s administration for its plan to restore the pensions of about 20,000 Delphi workers following a pension-slashing scheme during the Obama administration’s auto bailout.

In 2009, as part of the Obama-Biden administration’s taxpayer-funded bailout of General Motors (GM), the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) terminated the pension plans of about 20,0000 non-unionized Delphi workers. In some cases, workers had their pensions gutted by as much as 75 percent.

A federal report in 2013 detailed that the Delphi workers would likely have their pensions cut by an estimated $440 million. Meanwhile, GM topped off unionized Delphi workers’ pensions at a cost of about $1 billion.

-  Lord, we pray for these people who lost their pensions, that You would restore their lives.

- ''May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.'' (Romans 15:13)

9. NRCC Chair: 'We're Going to Retire Nancy Pelosi Once and for All' (breitbart.com)

Voters will hold Democrats accountable in the midterms and “retire [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi once and for all” to “stop this socialist lurch to the left,” National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Rep. Tom Emmer (MN) declared on Breitbart News Saturday.

Host Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News’s Washington Political Editor, asked Emmer to talk about how voters will be able to “course correct” in the midterm elections. Boyle said House Republicans are five seats away from the majority and Senate Republicans are one seat away from the majority, and asked Emmer to lay out the path Republicans are taking to regain the House.

Emmer said Republicans “should find a candidate or candidates, they should share their treasure by supporting them financially, they should share their talents by offering to volunteer in a campaign, because look, the world is run by those who show up and those who show up and do the work, they own our freedom, and there’s never been a time like right now, Matt, to get involved and take a position.”

“If you sit back and be quiet, you’re not gonna be happy with what these socialist Democrats are gonna do to our country, cause this is no longer a choice between a degree of freedom — the right of someone to self-determine versus the size and scope of government — this is literally a choice between two fundamental different views of the United States of America. On one side, the socialists, they wanna make all the decisions for you. On the other side, we still believe in free markets and the right of people to achieve their American dream on [sic] by hard work and playing by the rules,” he said.

- Father, we pray for mighty victories in the 2022 midterms. We pray that You will help all voters see the truth. With Your power, and the stationing of Your Angelic host --let no nefarious actions happen in the elections.

- ''Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.'' Psalm 1:1-6

10. Stars and Stripes - Senate unanimously confirms two LGBTQ women to top military positions

The U.S. Senate has unanimously confirmed two LGBTQ women to top military positions.

“President Biden nominated two historic #LGBTQ+ nominees for key roles” at the Department of Defense,” White House Senior Adviser on LGBTQ+ Engagement Reggie Greer wrote on Twitter.

On Thursday, Gina Ortiz Jones was confirmed to be the next undersecretary of the Air Force — the first out lesbian to serve in the position. Her vote came exactly one month after the Senate Armed Services Committee advanced her nomination.

She follows in the footsteps of Eric Fanning, who became the first out LGBTQ person to serve as undersecretary of a military branch when he was confirmed as undersecretary of the Air Force in 2013. Three years later he became the first openly gay leader of any U.S. military, when he was confirmed as Secretary of the Army.

Shawn Skelly, a retired Navy commander, was confirmed as assistant secretary of defense for readiness. She became the second openly transgender person to be confirmed as a federal official — after the groundbreaking confirmation of Dr. Rachel Levine as assistant secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services in March.

- Lord, we pray that Your Spirit would move over America, to bring a flood of repentance and heart change. Let our nation find Your Life and be redeemed by the Bood of the Lamb. Let these two women find Your truth and do no damage to our Armed Forces.

- ''Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.'' (James 1:15)

11. Education nonprofit warns Biden nominee Lhamon would 'threaten progress' of Trump-era Title IX protections | Fox News

An education nonprofit is warning the Biden administration's commitment to rolling back Title IX's due process protections for individuals accused of sexual harassment on college campuses would erase the progress enacted under the Trump administration.

In a recent report, the nonprofit Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) stated that the Trump-era Title IX regulations "bolstered due process at colleges," but that those changes have the potential to be undone with the confirmation of Biden's nominee Catherine Lhamon to be DOE's assistant secretary for civil rights.

Title IX is the 1972 law barring discrimination based on sex in education and has been the center of heated debate over penalties for students accused of sexual misconduct at universities across the U.S.

- Lord, we pray that You will fight for us and with us against the agendas of the nominees advanced by the Biden administration. We pray Your move of repentance for all our citizens from the White House to the Congress and across the land. Let none of Your people be complacent at this time of serious spiritual battles.

- ''And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, 'Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.''' (Nehemiah 4:14)

Wokeism And Oppression

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 26, 2021

Opposing voter integrity investigations and blocking public release of a report on the origins of the COVID 19 virus are two of the latest torches picked up by the woke Democratic Party leadership. What are they trying to hide? A lot of speculation can go into answering that question—all the way from wild-eyed crazy conspiracy theories presented as fact to would-be brainwashed disciples on both fringes of the political spectrum to those who are earnestly trying to seek the truth in order to make reasonable and legitimate plans for living their lives. But the bottom line is that Democrats are suppressing truth and Republicans are so weak-kneed about prodding the woke, that they are ineffective opposition.

Under the guise of Republican voter suppression and raising the specter of the racist Jim Crow laws, the Democratic party is in full gear suppressing the truth about voter integrity. At every juncture, either through political maneuvers or using the court systems, Democrats in key states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin have done their level best to thwart efforts to improve voter integrity—not only by suppressing investigations into allegations of fraud, but also to block new laws to prevent cheating. All the while, they are screaming racism and Jim Crow. Democrats invented Jim Crow laws that oppressed black people for over 100 years after the Civil War. Now they projecting them onto the very people who are trying to ensure voter freedom and prevent breeches in election integrity. Read More

A 'wobble' in the moon's orbit could result in
record flooding in the 2030s, new study finds
The entire US coastline is in for a one-two punch from the lunar cycle and climate change.

Climate change has already increased the frequency and severity of hurricanes and other extreme weather events around the world. But there's a smaller, less splashy threat on the horizon that could wreak havoc on America's coasts.

High-tide floods, also called "nuisance floods," occur in coastal areas when tides reach about 2 feet (0.6 meters) above the daily average high tide and begin to flood onto streets or seep through storm drains. True to their nickname, these floods are more of a nuisance than an outright calamity, inundating streets and homes, forcing businesses to close and causing cesspools to overflow — but the longer they last, the more damage they can do.

The U.S. experienced more than 600 of these floods in 2019, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). But now, a new study led by NASA warns that nuisance floods will become a much more frequent occurrence in the U.S. as soon as the 2030s, with a majority of the U.S. coastline expected to see three to four times as many high-tide flood days each year for at least a decade. Innkeeper's Kindness to House People After Storms is Contagious – With Everyone Pitching in and Sharing

When icy temperatures this past winter froze Kodak, Tennessee, shutting power down and freezing pipes, Sean Patel, owner of the local Quality Inn, wanted to do something to help his neighbors: open his hotel to all comers, even if he ran out of rooms, and provide them food and warmth until the power came back on.

“I saw how much people helped each other in the South and it got to me,” explains Patel. “It’s not always about money. Sometimes you just need to talk. I always wanted to be that kind of person.” . . .
So, he did what came naturally: Patel took to social media to say, “If you can get here, we will take care of you.” Even at maximum capacity, Patel would make space for those who needed it whether that be in the lobby or around the pool area, just so they could have someplace warm to be.

Between Christmas and New Years of 2020, all 60 rooms in the hotel were completely booked with some rooms housing as many as eight or nine adults. Some guests even stayed in the lobby or meeting rooms just to have a warm place to be. A couple rooms under maintenance were used so guests in the lobby could take a shower, which Patel’s team sanitized thoroughly after each user.

People came together in ways that Patel has never seen before. Everyone pitched in. Some guests even paid for each other’s rooms. Everyone was sharing food. The hotel staff turned on their breakfast station so people wouldn’t have to worry.

Later in the winter, when a similar freeze hit Texas, Patel did the same with another hotel he owns, the Segovia Lodge. Power lines came down and pipes froze over as the cold engulfed an unprepared Texas. Patel waived all fees so anyone who could get to the hotel could stay and eat for free all week. Guests even walked to the hotel because their cars couldn’t get through. (Good News Network)

Trust and Obey

Words: John Sammis
Music: Daniel Towner

Scripture: O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You. Psalm 84:11–12

Lyrics:
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Refrain

Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

Refrain

But we never can prove
The delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
For the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet.
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way.
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Refrain
