"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"
TODAY'S TOP STORY
Sen. Paul Wants DOJ to Investigate Fauci for Lying to Congress

Sen. Rand Paul wants the Department of Justice to probe Dr. Anthony Fauci for lying to Congress, Newsmax White House Correspondent Emerald Robinson tweeted.

"Senator Rand Paul has announced that he's sending a criminal referral to the DOJ to investigate Dr. Fauci for the crime of lying to Congress," Robinson wrote on Twitter.

The Kentucky Republican told Fox News’ "Hannity" that he believes the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director lied before Congress and broke the law, saying "I will be sending a letter to Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral, because he has lied to Congress. We have scientists that were lined up by the dozens to say that the research he was funding was gain of function."

On Tuesday, Paul and Fauci clashed at a Senate Health Committee hearing after the senator implied that Fauci previously lied to Congress about the role the National Institutes of Health (NIH) played in funding controversial research in Wuhan, China, the National Review reported.

Paul implied that Fauci misled Congress during May testimony, in which Fauci said that the United States had never funded Wuhan Institute of Virology gain-of-function projects, which involves making viruses more contagious or deadly in a laboratory.

Fauci rejected Paul's claims at the hearing on Tuesday and said the senator does not know what he is talking about.

Paul explained on "Hannity" that Fauci is throwing baseless accusations at him, because the doctor "has a self interest to cover his tracks and to cover his connection to Wuhan lab."

The senator conceded that Fauci does not deserve all the blame for the pandemic, as "there's still some conjecture as to whether or not it came from the lab. But he's lying about whether or not he funded gain of function research, and yes, he should be punished." (Newsmax)

Scientists with differing opinions about COVID-19 origins than Dr. Anthony Fauci keep it to themselves because because the top disease expert controls much of their funding, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, told "Fox News Primetime" Tuesday night.

. . . The senator noted Fauci has worked at the Bethesda, Md.-based NIH since 1968. He was appointed the head of NIAID by President Reagan in 1984. "He has been [at NIH] for 40 years; probably 39 years too long. But he controls all the funding," Paul warned. "So, people are deathly afraid of him. Researchers will not speak out. Why have there not been other scientists?"

. . . "They're afraid to speak out because many of them are university scientists and they depend on NIH funds: To cross him means it's last money you will ever get."

- Hallelujah Father!  We are ready to see justice be pushed forward in this nation and this timebomb issue is a perfect opportunity for You O King to release Your anointing on someone who carries a spine.  We pray for Senator Rand Paul to be covered by Your warrior angels and filled with Your Holy Spirit so that Your voice and courage within him resound across this nation.  We pray that the ones at DOJ who receive this criminal referral will actually be compelled to do their job and do it justly so that justice is actually performed!  In Jesus name!

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Dozens of rioters surround and attack Border Police - Jerusalem Post

During an operation by the Border Police to enforce a closed military area in Givat Qomi on Tuesday night, dozens of rioters arrived at the scene and began attacking the police, according to the police spokesperson (Border Police).
Earlier that night, Border Police identified two people inside the area. One of the two was not allowed to be there, the police asked the man to evacuate the area several times but he refused and began rioting causing the police to have to take him out.

The other man that was with him called to rioters who came to the scene and surrounded the officers using physical violence and even attacking some of them.

2. Report: IDF, Mossad Push Plan for Multiple Small-Scale Operations Against Iran Nuclear Program - Algemeiner

Israel is examining possible changes to its operational plans against the Iranian nuclear program in order to contend with a US reentry to the 2015 nuclear deal.

According to Walla, the IDF and the Mossad have emphasized to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and the government generally that while it is necessary to prepare for the possibility of an Israeli air strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, such an approach would be greatly complicated by a renewed nuclear deal.

One source in the security establishment told Walla that if Iran cuts a new deal with the US, “It’ll be a problem to bomb from the air.” Moreover, the IDF has told Bennett that its latest assessment has found that the IDF is still not at full readiness for a major conflict with Iran. (Read more)

3. Bennett to establish ‘Global Cybernet Shield,’ calls on allied countries to join - World Israel News

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced the creation of a “Global Cybernet Shield,” an international partnership between governments to identify and fight the increasing threat of cyberattacks in real time.

Speaking at the 11th annual Cyber Week conference on Wednesday, Bennett, a former CEO of a cybersecurity company, said, “We invite all like-minded good countries to join forces.”

Israel is a leading player in cybersecurity with 41 percent of all money invested worldwide to fight the growing problem going to Israeli firms, he noted.

“If we fight alone – we will lose, but if we fight together – we will win,” the prime minister said. (Read more)

4.  3 existing drugs fight coronavirus with ‘almost 100%’ success in Jerusalem lab - Times of Israel

Israeli scientists say they have identified three existing drugs that have good prospects as COVID-19 treatments, reporting that they illustrated high ability to fight the virus in lab tests.

They placed the substances with live SARS‑CoV‑2 and human cells in vitro. The results “showed that the drugs can protect cells from onslaught by the virus with close to 100 percent effectiveness, meaning that almost 100% of the cells lived despite being infected by the virus,” Prof. Isaiah Arkin, the Hebrew University biochemist behind the research, told The Times of Israel.

“By contrast, in normal circumstances, around half the cells would have died after two days following contact with the virus.” He added there are strong indications that the drugs will be robust against changing variants. (Read more)

5. Lapid to CUFI conference: Israel grateful for unequivocal support during Gaza conflict - JNS

(July 20, 2021 / JNS) In a video address to the 2021 summit of Christians United for Israel, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Monday expressed his appreciation to the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States for their ongoing support—most recently, during and after the 11-day conflict with Hamas in Gaza in May.

While its base is American evangelicals, which are largely politically conservative, CUFI as an organization emphasized that it makes its decisions based on the pro-Israel issues it believes in. While evangelicals fervently supported former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, CUFI so far is embracing Israel’s new diverse leadership, including Lapid and Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

Lapid told the approximately 700 invited attendees to the in-person summit in Dallas that the new administration in Israel plans to represent all Israelis, no matter the level of religiosity, political views or background, including those who did not vote for the coalition government. (Read more)

1. 'Let them die': Va. PTA official resigns after speech criticizing opponents of CRT, progressive ideas - Christian Post

A top official with the Virginia Parent Teacher Association has resigned after seemingly wishing death to parents who oppose the teaching of critical race theory and other progressive ideas.

Michelle Leete, the vice president of training for the Virginia PTA, had said “let them die” at a rally held last Thursday in Fairfax County in response to protesters opposed to CRT and other progressive proposals. Although Leete later clarified that she meant to say she wanted right-wing ideas to die rather than people themselves, the Virginia PTA nevertheless announced Saturday that it had requested and received Leete's resignation.

“While not speaking within her role within Virginia PTA, we do not condone the choice of words used during a public event on Thursday, July 15, 2021,” the Virginia PTA explained in a statement. (Read more)

- Father, as we continue to slide further away from Truth and deeper into sin, we pray that You will hear the cries of Your children. Forgive us for our neglect and apathy. Give courage to parents to be involved and speak out for the sake of our children but more importantly, to raise their children to walk in Your ways.

- “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9)
2. 17 AGs back Arkansas law banning puberty blockers, trans surgeries for minors: 'Protect kids' - Christian Post

More than a dozen state attorneys general have come to the defense of an Arkansas law banning the use of puberty blockers on children with gender dysphoria amid a legal challenge, arguing that states have an obligation to “protect kids.”

Led by Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, the Republican attorneys general of Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Texas filed an amicus brief in federal court last Tuesday.

They asked the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas to reject the ACLU's motion to block Arkansas’ Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act. The law, the first of its kind to be passed in the nation, prohibits physicians from providing puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and elective cosmetic gender surgeries to children under 18 years of age.

Additionally, the measure prohibits state tax dollars from funding such practices and allows insurance companies to deny coverage for sex reassignment surgeries.

- Lord God we pray that the U.S. District Court will rule in favor of the Arkansas law and that children will be protected. We pray for continued courage for the Russell County school board, and for parents and schools around the country, to stand up for vulnerable children who will be harmed by the transgender movement. And lastly Lord we pray that those who struggle with gender dysphoria will be counseled in truth and receive the help they truly need.

- “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6)

3. Harvey Weinstein extradited to Los Angeles on more sexual assault charges - Washington Examiner

Harvey Weinstein has been extradited to Los Angeles, where he faces 11 new charges pertaining to sexual assault.

Weinstein, who was being held in a New York prison, is charged with four counts of rape, four counts of forcible oral copulation, two counts of sexual battery by restraint, and one count of sexual penetration by use of force, charges that stem from five female accusers in Los Angeles, according to multiple outlets.

"This morning at approximately 9:25 custody of Mr. Harvey Weinstein was handed over to the appropriate officials for transport to the state of California per a court order," the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, which currently lists Weinstein's custody status as "out to court," said in a widely reported statement on Tuesday. (Read more)

- Lord God we pray that justice would be done in this situation. We come against all sexual sins, sex slavery, and sex trafficking Lord that these evil practices would be exposed and the roots of these evil systems be brought down in Jesus name.

- “Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.” (Romans 13:13)

4.  Arizona state senator floats resolution to 'reclaim electors' - Washington Examiner

An Arizona legislator floated the possibility of introducing a resolution to “reclaim electors” if the controversial audit in Maricopa County puts President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory in doubt.

State Senate Majority Whip Sonny Borrelli provided insight on Monday into what the Republican-led Senate’s options are as he agreed with Senate President Karen Fann, who said last week the chamber does not have the power to recall electors by itself after some of its members demanded action.

“ I believe the only power we can [exert] is if, for example, I’m seeing evidence of ‘there’s no way to certify this.’ The county is not coming to us with answers to any of the questions that we have, or we can’t come up with a definitive conclusion,” he said in an interview with One America News Network. (Read more)

- Lord God we ask that justice would be done in these battleground states and the rightful winner be declared so the whole world can see how corrupt the last election was. We pray that we can finally take steps to correct these wrongs and bring healing to our nation in Jesus name.

- “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.” (Romans 14:19)

5. Washington state football coach fired over post-game prayers is taking case to Supreme Court - Fox News

A former high school football coach challenging a ban on post-game prayers vowed to take his case to the Supreme Court after losing his latest court appeal Monday.

Joe Kennedy and his legal team have alleged the former coach’s first amendment rights were violated by the Bremerton School District in Washington state after he was issued an order to end his prayer sessions while on the field with players. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit declined to rehear arguments challenging a ruling by a district court in favor of the school district.

"We will appeal and are confident that the Supreme Court of the United States will right this wrong," Jeff Mateer, First Liberty Institute’s Chief Legal Officer who is representing Kennedy said. "Banning coaches from praying just because they can be seen contradicts the Constitution." (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank You that the Supreme Court has agreed to weigh this decision, and we ask for justice to be served for this quiet man of God. The NFL, the local football teams, and sports in general have made many provisions and compromises by now when it comes to social justice issues; surely they can do the same for the righteous and make a compromise, allowing this coach to offer a prayer after a game. We just ask that you would bless this coach and protect him, and we pray that your justice would flood this matter. In Jesus Christ name, amen.

- "But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!"
(Amos 5:24)

6. Lindsey Graham shares warning on Dem effort to change military - DML News

Sen. Lindsey Graham fired off a warning on Twitter Tuesday afternoon for anyone who isn’t “paying attention.” Graham shared a report by The Hill titled, “Senate subpanel backs military justice overhaul.”

The Hill article states the following:

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) has successfully included her proposal to overhaul the military justice system in this year’s annual defense policy bill. In a 5-1 vote Tuesday, the Senate Armed Services Committee’s personnel subcommittee, which Gillibrand chairs, voted to add her proposal as an amendment to its portion of the National Defense Authorization.

Gillibrand’s bill, an effort to tackle the pervasive issue of sexual assault in the military, would remove the decision to prosecute most major crimes from the chain of command and give it to independent prosecutors. That includes sexual assault, but also other serious crimes such as murder.

In a series of Twitter posts, Graham wrote:

They voted on and adopted a provision stripping commanders of all UCMJ authority regarding their command because Senator Gillibrand and others have accused the military justice system of being inherently racist. It’s one thing to deal with sexual assault crimes in trying to create a system to allow people to report wrongdoing more efficiently. It is another to accuse the entire command system of being inherently racist. We will fight back. (Read more)

- Lord God we pray a special blessing over all men and women in uniform that protect this country in the military. It is the government's first responsibility to make sure we have a strong defense system so that the citizens of this country are safe at all times. We bind all efforts to weaken our military in Jesus Christ name, that they will not come to fruition.

- “ . . . my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior— from violent people you save me.” (2 Samuel 22:3)

7. BREAKING! Pelosi bars Trump allies from Jan. 6 probe, GOP may boycott - AP News

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday rejected two Republicans tapped by House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy to sit on a committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, a decision McCarthy denounced as “an egregious abuse of power.”

McCarthy said the GOP won’t participate the investigation if Democrats won’t accept the members he appointed.
Pelosi cited the “integrity” of the probe in refusing to accept the appointments of Indiana Rep. Jim Banks, picked by McCarthy to be the top Republican on the panel, or Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan. Both are close allies of former President Donald Trump, whose supporters laid siege to the Capitol that day.

In the hours after the insurrection, both Banks and Jordan voted to overturn Joe Biden’s presidential victory. Pelosi said she had spoken with McCarthy and told him that she would reject the two names. (Read more)

- Lord God this particular committee is obviously partisan just like all the other committees to impeach Trump, to investigate him and abuse him throughout his presidency. We pray that this committee's evil plans and purposes will not come to fruition and that the truth will continue to be revealed about the set up on January 6th.

- "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

 8. Rand Paul says he is sending Justice Department criminal referral on Fauci - Just The News

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul says he’s sending a criminal referral to the Justice Department on Dr. Anthony Fauci for what the GOP senator says are the public health expert’s lies while being questioned by Congress

I will be sending a letter to the Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral because he has lied to Congress," Paul told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Tuesday night.

Paul's announcement comes after a tense exchange between him and Fauci at a Senate hearing earlier in the day, during which the senator suggested that Fauci and the National Institutes of Health had funded potentially dangerous gain-of-function coronavirus research in Wuhan, China, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. (Read more)

- Lord we thank you for exposing the lies around this virus and the disinformation surrounding it. We come against all efforts by the enemy and his foul lying devils to revive fear or other sicknesses and diseases in Jesus name.

- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

9. Mitch McConnell warns of lockdowns if COVID vaccine rates don’t increase - New York Post

A fresh wave of pandemic lockdowns like the ones that crippled the country last year loom on the horizon if people don’t wise up and get vaccinated against COVID-19, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell warned.

“These shots need to get in everybody’s arms as rapidly as possible or we´re going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don’t yearn for — that we went through last year,” McConnell (R-Ky.) said at a news conference Tuesday, adding, “This is not complicated.”

Asked about comments from Utah Gov. Spencer Cox alleging that conservative pundits are killing people with their rhetoric, McConnell stated that he encourages everybody to “ignore all of these other voices that are giving demonstrably bad advice.” (Read more)

- In the name of Jesus we plead the blood of the Lamb over these idle words spoken by Mitch McConnell. We stop them in their tracks and we stop fear from affecting the citizens of this country again in the name of Jesus.

- “. . . for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. . .  (2 Timothy 1:7)

10. Senate Democrats Hope to Slip as Big an Amnesty as Possible into Budget - Brietbart

For months, Senate Democrats have eyed using the little-known reconciliation process to jam an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens through Congress with no threat of the filibuster stopping it and only 51 votes in the Senate to approve it.

This week, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) told reporters that while he hopes the amnesty plan includes giving green cards, and thus eventual naturalized American citizenship, to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, he wants the amnesty to be as big as possible.
“I hope it goes bigger,” Durbin said.

As Breitbart News reported, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) threw his support behind an amnesty plan via reconciliation last week and suggested this week that he wants the amnesty to resemble that of the failed “Gang of Eight” amnesty from 2013. (Read more)

- We just pray Lord God that you would shine a light on all of the evil that is being put in this budget in the name of Jesus. We pray that these evil provisions will not come to pass and that righteous leaders would stand up against this, in Jesus name.

- “The people who walk in darkness
Will see a great light;
Those who live in a dark land,
The light will shine on them.”

Stupidocrisy: BLM's Claims About Cuba

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 21, 2021

There is no limit to the propaganda and rewriting of history associated with Marxism. You need look no further than a July 14 statement by Black Lives Matter (BLM) blaming America for the plight of Cubans. The statement blatantly lies about history, supports violent Marxist revolutions, and misstates and twists the intent of the Cuban people who are seeking liberty from a tyrannical dictatorship. BLM’s statement strikes similar themes to that of the Communist Party USA a day earlier, which called for an end to the Cuban embargo, blamed the US for “strangulation” of the Cuban people, and claimed the Cuban protesters were “flooding the streets in support of the government and the revolution.” Really?

For the less enlightened, thousands took to the streets in Cuba on Sunday, July 11 to protest against human rights abuses, the tyrannical Marxist dictatorship, and the horrible economy. But let’s break down the Communist propaganda fomented by the darling of the US mainstream media and the Democratic leadership. BLM said it “condemns the US federal government’s inhumane treatment of Cubans, and urges it to immediately lift the economic embargo. This cruel and inhumane policy, instituted with the explicit intention of destabilizing the country and undermining Cubans’ right to choose their own government, is at the heart of Cuba’s current crisis. Since 1962 the United States has forced pain and suffering on the people of Cuba by cutting off food, medicine and supplies, costing the tiny island nation an estimated $130 billion.” Read More

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America

Republicans must take seriously the effort by Democrats to completely change America through the Reconciliation Process. Democrats are now suggesting that budget reconciliation can be used to pass Mail-In Ballot legislation as well as trying to include Amnesty in their infrastructure package. The infrastructure package has little to do with infrastructure as we know it, bridges, roads, tunnels, etc., but is a dramatic expansion of Government that will cost much more than the $3.5 trillion being discussed. Don’t let this happen!

If Amnesty is included in the infrastructure package, there will be a run on our Southern Border the likes of which we have never seen before. It will be a signal that says "come to America now, because you will soon be a citizen." Providing Amnesty to illegal aliens, in the history of what already is considered the greatest Border catastrophe, will result in disaster beyond our gravest nightmares. No country can pay this price. Will lead to ruination!

Any effort to dictate national Mail-In Voting will be a disaster for our Country and for conservatism. There will never be a Republican elected to high office again. I urge every Republican to fight this and deny Democrats a quorum if that is what it takes to make sure that the Democrats can’t use reconciliation.

Republicans must push back for the sake of our Country and, far less importantly, the sake of the Republican Party!

MAJOR FIRST AMENDMENT WIN FOR CHRISTIAN STUDENT GROUPS
An appeals court ruled Friday that the University of Iowa discriminated against Christian student groups over the methods used to select group members and leaders. Daniel Blomberg, senior counsel at Becket law firm noted that, “Schools are supposed to be a place of free inquiry and open thought, but the school officials here punished opinions they didn’t like and promoted ones they did – all while using taxpayer dollars to do it.” The ruling is one of several cases against universities that have been sued for discrimination against religious student clubs. “The good news is that they’ve been held accountable, and school officials nationwide are on notice,” added Blomberg. Capitol Hill Updates:

The Hyde Amendment and the Weldon Amendment
The House is advancing a spending bill that does not contain The Hyde Amendment. President Biden released a $6 trillion federal budget plan in May that omitted the Hyde Amendment — the first time in over 40 years it was excluded. This Hyde Amendment restricts federal/tax payer funding for abortion.

The pending bill also excludes the Weldon Amendment rider, which prohibits the denial of federal funding to health care entities that won’t provide abortion services. This rider is considered a “conscience protection” that allows hospitals, insurance companies and health care professionals to object to abortions based on “religious or moral grounds.” We need to see this included.

The legislation will move to the full Appropriations Committee for review and an eventual vote. It is sure to be a contentious battle. It is unclear if it will pass the Senate without the reinstatement of these amendments.

Biden Administration Takes Action Against Religious Freedom
Biden Admin to Scrap Focus on Religious Freedom in Favor of Abortion, LGBTQ Activism

Secretary of State Antony Blinken will restructure America’s top priorities around the globe in order to focus on more progressive and liberal pet issues, such as abortion and LGBTQ activism.

Friendly descriptions of the shift in focus can be found throughout the media, such as characterizing issues conservatives champion (like religious freedom) as opposed to human rights.

By “reproductive rights” the Biden administration is referring to abortion, which is the murder of an unborn child still in the mother’s womb. (Faithwire.com) Read more.

- Lord God Almighty in heaven, we bring this report before Your Throne of grace in fear and trembling. Lord God, we know that it is written that the shedding of innocent blood brings a curse upon a nation, and we weep for the thousands of babies still being slaughtered in the womb by these pro-abortion policies. We repent, too, for the "pro-LGBT" policies that Biden and his State Department are advancing around the world. Please save us, O Lord, as we repent now, "in sackcloth and ashes", for these two wicked agendas coming from the current administration. In Your Name we pray, amen and amen.

The Bootleg Fire in Oregon Is So Massive
It Can Be Seen From Space

The Bootleg Fire that has scorched more than 1,500 square km (600 square miles) in Oregon is so big it can be seen from space.

Videos shared by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration earlier this week show smoke plumes rising into the air from the Bootleg Fire. The fire has burned over 360,000 acres, officials said.

InciWeb, the national incident information system for wildfires, reported that as of Tuesday morning, the Bootleg Fire was only 30 percent contained. The fire may not be fully contained until November, NOAA said.

The Bootleg Fire has also been producing its own weather, as pyrocumulonimbus storms have formed from the clouds created by the smoke from the fire. The clouds can spawn fire tornadoes or cause lightning strikes that can spread fire.

The fire clouds are creating multiple pyrocumulus clouds that can grow up to 10 km (6 miles) high and can be seen from 161 km away. Read More

3,000-year-old inscription could be oldest discovered evidence of Hebrew language

LACHISH, Israel (BP) — A written inscription spelling the biblical name “Jerubbaal” or “Yeruba’al,” has been found during an archaeological dig in a Southern District of Israel, according to media reports.

The five-letter inscription, written on a jug and dated around the 12th or 11th century BCE, was found by researchers at “Khirbat er-Ra‘I”, an archaeological site in Israel that has been excavated since 2015, according to The Jerusalem Post. Researchers cited by The Times Israel claim the inscription most likely reads as the biblical name “Jerubbaal” or “Yeruba’al.”

This name is traditionally understood to be an alternative name or nickname for the biblical judge Gideon who was known for leading 300 Israelites in a battle against the Midianites in Judges 6-8.

This artifact is understood to be the only hard evidence of a name inscription from the book of Judges contemporary to that time period that has been discovered.

The Republic of South Africa was once a nation that strongly believed in their God, and many battles were fought and won by True Faith in their God. But this faith has been lost over the years, and many have fallen away and are questioning why they should believe. And only a small number of believers are still fighting the battle in prayer and intercession day and night for their beloved country. That fight for God's plan for His nation and His healing is what is keeping this nation from further break down. Read More

Rescue the Perishing

Words: Fanny Crosby
Music: W. Howard Doane

ScriptureSnatch others from the fire and save them. Jude 23

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save.

Refrain
Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.

Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.

Refrain

Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness,
Chords that were broken will vibrate once more.

Refrain

Rescue the perishing, duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation.
