FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Shaked: Everyone returning from abroad may have to quarantine - Israel National News

Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked said in an interview with Channel 13 News tonight (Monday) that "isolation for all returnees from all countries will probably be approved. We are still debating whether it will be for seven or four days." The minister clarified that the government prefers that people fly less.

Shaked called on people to get vaccinated and added: "Among the vaccinated there are fewer critically ill patients. My children, aged 13 and 16, have also been vaccinated. Our strategy is to live with the coronavirus with the help of vaccines, masks and the green pass. We are conducting epidemiological investigations and monitoring the sewer in order to reduce the rate of infection."

When asked what the government's plans are for Khan al-Ahmar, Shaked said, "I think this illegal outpost should be evacuated. We accept the Supreme Court ruling and we intend to abide by it. I hope and want the place evacuated. The government only has a month, we had a lot on our minds, give us a few months and we will see if we can solve this problem." (Read more)

2. Bennett turnaround: Jews have no right to pray on Temple Mount - World Israel News

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett officially took back the right of Jewish worshipers to pray on the Temple Mount Monday – one day after having acknowledged their entitlement to do so.

Throughout Sunday, which was Tisha b’Av, the Hebrew date when both the First and Second Temples were destroyed, some 1,700 Jews visited the Mount, where the Temples had stood. Hamas and other Gaza-based terror organizations had issued threats, warning the Jews not to ascend the Mount, and early-morning visitors were greeted by Muslim stone-throwers.

Bennett thanked the police for maintaning order and managing the visits “with responsibility and consideration, while maintaining freedom of worship for Jews on the Mount.”

This marked a welcome change for the visitors, as most often, Arab violence or even the threat of it has been answered by police clearing the Mount of the Jewish groups instead cracking down on criminal behavior. (Read more)

3. Israel’s Gantz, PA President Abbas Discuss ‘Trust-Building’ - Algemeiner

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said he spoke with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday and that the two agreed there was a need to make trust-building steps.

It was the first high-level contact made public by the new Israeli government, which was sworn in last month, unseating the country’s longest-serving leader, Benjamin Netanyahu.

The ruling coalition is made up of left-wing, centrist, right-wing and Arab parties with little in common on the diplomatic front. Officials have said they would focus on domestic reforms and largely avoid sweeping moves on hot-button international issues such as policy toward the Palestinians.

Gantz said he shared with Abbas good wishes for Eid al-Adha holiday on Tuesday, one of the two most important festivals of the Islamic calendar. (Read more)

4. Israeli ministers vote down West Bank annexation bill - Jerusalem Post

Representatives of the coalition and opposition held what both sides called a positive meeting in Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy’s office on Monday evening, in an effort to end their feud over Knesset committees and key posts in the parliament.
The Likud has accused the coalition of offering the party unprecedentedly low representation in key Knesset committees and the presidium of deputy Knesset speakers that decide which bills are brought to a vote.

In the closed-door meeting, the coalition offered the opposition more deputy Knesset speaker posts, committee chairmanships and representatives on the Finance Committee and other powerful committees.
“Fair offers were put on the table by each side, with what they thought they could live with if agreed upon, and now they are both considering it,” one participant in the meeting said.

Another participant said progress was made, with a goal of completing an agreement by Tuesday.

5. Israelis outraged after Ben & Jerry's ends sales in Jewish settlements - Israel Hayom

In what appears to be a decision aimed at singling out Israeli settlements, the US-based ice cream company Ben & Jerry's announced on Monday that it would no longer be sold beyond the Green Line after 2022.  The move drew immediate condemnations from Israelis and a call to boycott the company's products.

On its website, it said, "We believe it is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry's ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT)," referring to the official UN terminology for Judea and Samaria. "We also hear and recognize the concerns shared with us by our fans and trusted partners," it said.

According to the company, whose headquarters are in the liberal state of Vermont, "We have a longstanding partnership with our licensee, who manufactures Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Israel and distributes it in the region. We have been working to change this, and so we have informed our licensee that we will not renew the license agreement when it expires at the end of next year."

The company added that it would continue to operate in Israel "through a different arrangement." (Read more)

1. Federal Judge In Texas Rules DACA Unlawful, Says Obama Exceeded Authority When Creating It | The Daily Wire

In 2012, then-President Barack Obama issued an executive order that created a program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which ensured that children brought into the U.S. illegally by their parents would not be deported. They were dubbed “Dreamers.”

But federal judge Andrew S. Hanen of the U.S. District Court in Houston — a President George W. Bush appointee — on Friday ruled the executive order was unlawful and that Obama exceeded his authority when issuing it.

Hanen in his ruling said Obama’s executive order violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) because it failed to allow the public to comment.

“D.H.S. failed to engage in the statutorily mandated process,” Hanen wrote, “so DACA never gained status as a legally binding policy that could impose duties or obligations.”

- Lord, we thank You that this judge saw the problem. We ask that his ruling will stand. We know that other courts have ruled the opposite, so we pray for Your hedge of protection over this decision. We also pray Your protection for Judge Hanen as those who hate him are many.

- ''But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.'' (James 3:17)

2Two more Texas Democrats test positive for COVID after fleeing election vote | Fox News

Two more Texas Democrats have tested positive for coronavirus during the trip to Washington, D.C., just one day after three of their colleagues learned they had contracted the virus as well.

According to the Texas Tribune, the number of COVID-positive Texas state lawmakers in the nation's capital is now five. The news comes on the same day that former Vice President Kamala Harris visited Walter Reed Medical Center for a "routine" visit after meeting with the group of lawmakers just last week.

- Lord, we pray for the souls of these Democrats who thought themselves able to do whatever they want. As they abdicated their responsibility, we ask that You search their hearts for any place of repentance. If none, let them be removed.

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion." (Proverbs 18:2)

3. Iranian Hackers Used Facebook to Lure US Military Members (sofrep.com)

Iranian hackers used Facebook to create elaborate fake personas with the purpose of getting Americans in the military, defense, and aerospace industries to fall for phishing schemes so that the hackers could access personal and classified information, Facebook said on Thursday.

The hackers also targeted defense personnel in the U.K. and Europe.

The Iranian spying campaign began last year. Facebook took down “fewer than 200 operational accounts”, according to Mike Dvilyanski, Facebook’s head of cyber-espionage investigations.

This is another attack on the U.S. but this time, Iran didn’t target infrastructure or large corporations but the military and defense industry.

Facebook reported that the group, dubbed ‘Tortoiseshell’ by cybersecurity experts, used fake online personas, posing as legitimate defense or aerospace contractors to connect and build trust with members. They then would trick targets into other sites which contained links that would infect their devices with spying malware.

- Lord, we pray that You will bring repentance to all who are in our military. Let them have Your gift of discernment in all that they do.

- "But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil." (Hebrews 5:14)

4. Virginia PTA official resigns after 'let them die' comments (msn.com)

A top official from the Virginia Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has resigned after being filmed saying, "Let them die" in reference to a group of people protesting the teaching of critical race theory.

"Today, the Virginia PTA executive committee requested and received the resignation of Michelle Leete, who served as Vice President of Training," the Virginia PTA said in a statement posted on Twitter on Saturday. "While not speaking in her role within the Virginia PTA, we do not condone the choice of words used during a public event on Thursday, July 15, 2021."

- Lord, we thank You that this woman will no longer have leadership in the PTA. We ask that You reveal truth to her and remove the lies that she has espoused.

- ''Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth."  ( Corinthians 13:4-6)

5. Chinese Officials Share Video of Nuke Launch Against Japan (freebeacon.com)

Chinese Communist Party officials shared a video threatening the launch of nuclear missiles against Japan.

The video, which was originally posted Sunday by the Chinese military commentary website Liu Jun Tao Lue, declared China would "continuously" deploy nuclear arms against Japan if it came to the aid of Taiwan following a Chinese invasion. A Communist Party committee in central China shared the video after the original channel removed it.

"When we liberate Taiwan, if Japan dares to intervene by force, even if it only deploys one soldier, one plane, and one ship, we will not only return reciprocal fire but also start a full-scale war against Japan," the narrator says. "We will use nuclear bombs first."

If confirmed by Beijing, such a claim would prove a major departure from China’s stated military strategy. Since 1964, China has pledged to not use a nuclear weapon first in a conflict, a linchpin of the United States's own nuclear deterrent policy. Risking nuclear war in a potential showdown over Taiwan could have dire consequences.

Japan on Tuesday released its 2021 defense strategy, which mentions the defense of Taiwan for the first time. In July, Japanese deputy prime minister Taro Aso had raised the possibility of joining the United States in the defense of Taiwan.

- Lord, we stand against this plan to start WWIII. We take authority over all actions that could spark a nuclear war in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

- ''And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.'' (Matthew 24:6)

6. Harris wasn't in close contact with Texas Democrats and won't quarantine: aide (msn.com)

Vice President Harris and her staff do not have to quarantine or be tested for COVID-19 because they were not in close contact during a meeting with Democratic Texas lawmakers who later tested positive for the virus, according to her spokeswoman.

"On Tuesday, July 13th, Vice President Harris met with members of the Texas state legislature who are temporarily in Washington, D.C.," Symone Sanders, Harris's senior adviser and chief spokesperson, said in a statement late Saturday.

"Earlier today, it was brought to our attention that two of the members at that meeting tested positive for COVID-19. Based on the timeline of these positive tests, it was determined the Vice President and her staff present at the meeting were not at risk of exposure because they were not in close contact with those who tested positive and therefore do not need to be tested or quarantined. The Vice President and her staff are fully vaccinated," Sanders added.

- Lord, we do not ask that Harris get Covid, variant or not. But we do ask that You cause wisdom and truth to sink into her heart, removing all arrogance and lies.

- ''The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)

7. CDC confirms US case of monkeypox | TheHill

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday confirmed a case of monkeypox in the U.S.  The CDC and the Texas Department of State Health Services said a U.S. resident who traveled to Texas from Nigeria had a confirmed case of monkeypox. The person took two flights on his way back to Texas: one from Nigeria to Atlanta and another from Atlanta to Dallas.

The person is currently hospitalized in Dallas as officials look to get in touch with those who may have had close contact with him during the flights.

“Monkeypox is a rare but potentially serious viral illness that typically begins with flu-like illness and swelling of the lymph nodes and progresses to a widespread rash on the face and body,” the CDC said in its statement.

The strain of monkeypox the person in Dallas has is typically seen in Nigeria and West Africa. The infection can last anywhere from two to four weeks, and is fatal in about 1 in 100 people.

- Lord, we take authority over this disease, bind it tightly, and command it to go no further.

- ''Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed.'' (Job 38:11)

8Senator: Bipartisan infrastructure bill loses IRS provision (apnews.com)

A proposal to strengthen IRS enforcement to crack down on tax scofflaws and help fund a nearly $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure spending bill is officially off the table, Republican Sen. Rob Portman said Sunday.

Portman, who is involved in negotiating the bill, cited “pushback” from fellow Republican lawmakers who dislike the idea of expanding the reach of the IRS, which they have accused over the years of unfairly targeting conservatives. He said another reason the IRS provision was shelved is that Democrats are including a more robust enforcement plan in a separate $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill that they intend to pass through the Senate using special budget rules and without Republican votes.

“That created quite a problem because the general agreement is that this is the bipartisan, negotiated infrastructure package and that we will stick with that,” the Ohio senator said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

- Lord, we ask that You stop the insidious 'mission creep' of the IRS. We pray Your protection over all of Your people from the weaponized IRS we dealt with under Obama.

- ''He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler."  (Psalm 91:4)

9. Frustrated industry groups see Biden’s Covid czar as obstacle to reopening travel - POLITICO

The president is under intense pressure from lawmakers, world leaders and the travel industry to ease travel bans on people coming from more than two dozen countries.

The White House is resisting lifting U.S. travel bans on a broad swath of foreign countries, despite a rising chorus of voices both inside and outside the administration questioning whether they are still necessary in the fight against Covid-19.

Critics of the bans point to Jeff Zients, the coordinator of the White House’s coronavirus pandemic response, as the main obstacle standing in the way of easing the longstanding restrictions, according to five people familiar with the matter. And some of them have grown so frustrated with Zients that they said they have begun discussing ways to go around him and take their case to other top administration officials instead.

- Lord, we pray that You will grant wisdom to the leadership in this matter, and only allow Your will over our nation to occur.

- ''Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.'' (Proverbs 19:20)

10. Ernst: Americans Want Infrastructure, Not 'Extraneous Things (breitbart.com)

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) questioned Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) move to schedule an infrastructure vote this week despite the fact that lawmakers have not even seen the text of a bill.

While Americans want to see issues related to infrastructures, such as roads and bridges, addressed, they are not interested in the hyperpartisan Democrat Party policy items — from the Green New Deal to amnesty for illegal aliens —  Democrats seek to jam through via a companion $3.5 trillion reconciliation package, the Iowa lawmaker explained during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday.

“Americans want to see infrastructure like roads, bridges, [and] waterways. They don’t want to see all the extraneous things Democrats are trying to throw at us. We have not seen a bill. I have not seen the text of a bill and yet Chuck Schumer says we’re going to vote on it next week,” Ernst said. “I don’t know how we do that when we don’t know what’s in the package.”

The Iowa lawmaker told Breitbart News Saturday that she hopes the group of bipartisan lawmakers working on the package will tell Schumer to “slow down.”

-  Lord, we ask that You provide the right infrastructure bill that repairs the roads, bridges, and waterways that have become dangerous. We bind the spending spree of Democrats, and ask that You put a stop to it, bringing only that which is truly needed for America.

- ''Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool, but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding.'' (Proverbs 10:23)

Voter Audits And What To Expect

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 19, 2021

Despite a constant harangue by Democrats and the media that there was no voter integrity issues in the 2020 presidential election, audit after audit is turning up—you guessed it—voter integrity issues. In the contested states, Democratic leadership has tried to block any forensics that might shed light on the condition of election integrity. Those pushing the status quo continue to stand on the argument that there was not enough voter fraud to overturn the election, so it is nothing to worry about. The problem with that argument is that they have no real way of telling unless there are audits. If people stand in the way of finding the truth, and continue to insist there is nothing wrong, they are likely hiding something.

The Epoch Times reports that after analyzing Georgia ballots made available by court order, Voters Organized for Trusted Election Results found seven tally sheets containing fabricated vote totals, 923 ballot batch files of incorrectly reported votes, and 36 batches of mail-in ballots added redundantly to the vote count. And guess what? This was done during the audit of the results. In all cases, the vote totals favored Joe Biden totaling in the thousands of votes—just for Fulton County of Atlanta. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, however, reports that the findings were too small to have a bearing on the final certified count and continues to hold that previous audits found no significant irregularities. Nothing to see here—right? Read More

Signs & Wonders
Decades ago the skeletal remains of hundreds of people were found at a
glacial lake in the Indian Himalayas. But advancements in science have
brought more questions than answers.
Mystery at 'Skeleton Lake' continues to puzzle and enthrall

Tucked far up in the freezing, snow-covered mountain ranges of the Himalayas at the dizzying height of more than 15,700 feet above sea level is Roopkund Lake, a small body of water.

At roughly 130 feet (40 meters) in diameter, the lake is less than the width of a football field. But the little lake has a big reputation. It's where the mystery of the dead is still very much alive.

The body of water, commonly known as "Skeleton Lake," is the final resting place for what scientists estimate to be 500 to 800 sets of human remains. It's a mysterious lake where hundreds of people met death and the icy Himalayas continued to preserve their remains.

“If you read about it or try to imagine it, I think that’s when it feels very spooky," journalist Neelima Vallangi told AccuWeather from her home in Kathmandu, Nepal. "That 500 to 800 skeletons are lying abandoned in the mountains deep in the Himalayas. It feeds your imagination."

In 1942, an Indian forest official discovered the skeletal remains scattered in and around the lake. He reported the strange discovery, but it wasn't made public until the late 1950s. As National Geographic reported, "In the 1950s, one explorer described the site to an Indian radio station as a 'ghastly scene that made us catch our breath.'" Cancer Survivor Told She May Never Conceive Puts Her Faith in God, Gives Birth to Miracle Baby

While the diagnosis was hard to bear, Kayla and her husband, country artist Grayson Rogers, stood firm in their faith in the Lord to "bring us through."

She underwent chemotherapy treatments as 2020 began. But another round of bad news shook Kayla and her hope of one day being a mother. The couple was told that the treatment would likely render Kayla unable to conceive a child naturally. "Kayla was  crushed," Grayson explained to The Epoch Times. "She had dreamed all her life of being a mom, and she felt like her hopes and dreams had come crashing down."

However, instead of giving up the pursuit of becoming pregnant, Kayla began, instead, to proclaim that "God was going to do the impossible..." and that He would make it possible for her to conceive naturally.

Last September, a positive pregnancy test confirmed that Kayla's prayers were being answered. According to The Epoch Times report, baby Joella was born on May 18th, a healthy 8 lbs, 7 oz. Grayson added that her name means "the Lord is God," and "His will be done." (The Epoch Times) Read more.

Thoughts for Repentance
This update today from a key ministry in Phoenix, Arizona, Bridgebuilders, confirms our call for God's Solution. Here is their message:

Arizona and 10 Western states are in a crisis that has no human solution, as a seemingly unstoppable “megadrought” has gripped the region.

Reservoirs have drained to their bottoms, rivers have become trickles, and millions of acres are at risk for out-of-control fires.

These states have endured the driest year in more than a century with no drought relief in sight, experts recently told a US House panel.

This follows two decades that were the driest of the 100-plus years on record – and one of the driest spells in the past 1,200 years based on paleohydrology evidence!

ScriptureGod so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

Lyrics:
Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Lovingkindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.

In Thy truth Thou dost direct me
By Thy Spirit through Thy Word;
And Thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in Thee, my Lord.
Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring
Thy great love and power on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to Thee.
