Concerns Surround IMF Plan to Flood World With Liquidity
|
|
A controversial plan to boost global liquidity means the days of the U.S. dollar being the undisputed king of the international monetary system may be coming to a close, experts told The Epoch Times. Losing that status could contribute to a serious crisis for the United States involving a dramatic loss of economic purchasing power, a geopolitical realignment and everything associated with those shocks.
The Biden administration-backed International Monetary Fund (IMF) proposal to issue an unprecedented $650 billion U.S. dollars’ worth of new “Special Drawing Rights” (SDRs) this year alone will also help re-shape the international financial system. That is more than twice the total amount of SDRs created by the IMF throughout its entire history.
The unprecedented new issuance, which has the support of both Beijing and Washington, will contribute to sidelining the U.S. dollar’s role as the global reserve currency, analysts warned. The Chinese Communist Party is expected to be a leading beneficiary. “The United States and our G7 partners are actively considering a global effort to multiply the impact of the proposed Special Drawing Rights (SDR) allocation to the countries most in need,” the White House said in a statement.
For well over a decade, leading commentators and even political leaders around the world—including Communist Chinese central bank officials and numerous European leaders—have called for making the SDR into a true global currency.
Those calls are growing amid the push for a “Great Reset.” The “reset” plan, which would transform everything from business to governance, is being promoted by the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, the IMF, the British monarchy and other power centers as a way to improve the world. 1. Lapid declares support for 2-state solution before EU foreign ministers - Israel Hayom
Israel's Foreign Minister Yair Lapid addressed his 26 European counterparts during a speech to the EU Foreign Affairs Council, a first for a member of the Israeli government since Tzipi Livni in 2008.
In his remarks, Lapid said it is "no secret" that he supports a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, but he noted that the conditions are not currently in place for a peace agreement. "A future Palestinian state must be a democracy that seeks peace with Israel," he said.
The foreign minister said he supported all humanitarian activities in favor of the Palestinians and any efforts made to improve their economic situation. (Read more)

2. Israel’s Population Authority Wants to Legalize its Illegal, Secret Biometric Database - Jewish Press
Israel’s Population Authority (Interior Ministry) “erroneously” set up a secret, illegal biometric database, according to a report by Omar Kabir that exposed the existence of the database in the Hebrew-language Calcalist.
The illegal biometric database currently operates alongside the Population Authority’s legal biometric database. The illegal entity includes facial images of most Israeli citizens, which enables full biometric identification.
The existence of the illegal entity was revealed in the (Hebrew-language) periodic report of the Commissioner for Biometric Applications in the National Cyber System, which was sent to Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked last month.
Now that its existence has been exposed, however, the Population Authority is seeking to “make legislative changes” that would legalize the second database rather than delete it, thus allowing the Population Authority to retain the photos therein. (Read more)

3. ‘There Is a Strong Potential for Cooperation With Israel,’ Turkey’s President Erdogan Says - Algemeiner
i24 News – Israel’s President Isaac Herzog spoke with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday evening, according to a statement from Herzog’s office.
During the conversation, President Erdogan congratulated Herzog on his inauguration as Israel’s 11th president.
The two men said that Israeli-Turkish relations were of great importance for security and stability in the Middle East and that there is a high potential for cooperation between the two countries in many areas, especially those of energy, tourism, and technology.
Despite the coronavirus epidemic, bilateral trade between the countries is growing, the statement said. (Read more)

4. Israel, UAE sign agricultural agreements - Israel National News
UAE Minister of Food and Water Security Mariam Al-Muhairi joined Agriculture Minister Oded Forer in Tel Aviv for the signing ceremony, according to i24NEWS.
The two countries agreed to cooperate on research and innovation, including developing crops that can thrive in desert environments as well as advancements in water management and irrigation.
“The United Arab Emirates and Israel share many challenges when it comes to food security, and we are cooperating to find innovative and feasible solutions to these challenges,” said al-Muhairi.
Israel signed normalization agreements with both Bahrain and the UAE last year, as part of the Abraham Accords initiated by the administration of former US President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, the UAE will officially inaugurate its embassy in Tel Aviv in a ceremony attended by President Isaac Herzog. (Read more)

5. Ministry says testing glitch underreported COVID positivity rate for weeks - Times of Israel
Newly ensconced Health Ministry director Nachman Ash said that a temporary glitch has been skewing the number of negative COVID tests reported at Ben Gurion Airport, making it seem as if the current outbreak is somewhat more contained than it actually is, the new head of the Health Ministry admitted Monday.
Nachman Ash, who took over the ministry a day earlier, told reporters that for a period of several weeks, negative tests that were carried out at Ben Gurion Airport were accidentally counted twice in the Health Ministry statistics. The misreported number served to lower the percentage of cases coming back positive, a key number used by decision-makers to determine how widespread the disease is.
The error began when the company conducting tests at the airport was replaced by a new organization in mid-June, Ash said. He promised that the issue was being taken of, since its recent discovery. (Read more)

1. Windham election audit team submits report to New Hampshire officials - Washington Examiner
A highly anticipated report about an audit of the 2020 election in Windham, New Hampshire, has been submitted to officials in the state. One of the auditors, Harri Hursti, confirmed to the Washington Examiner on Monday that his team "submitted it yesterday," more than six weeks after the audit concluded. The team's findings may become public as early as Tuesday.
The portion of the audit that included the handling of ballots concluded on May 27. However, the audit team's work did not stop there.
"Now, we have captured the data," Hursti told observers at the time. "Now, we have to go back to do the analysis, and there might be something in the data, which we now have, which we haven't yet understood."
The three-person audit team — made up of Hursti, Mark Lindeman, and Philip Stark — initially found that as many as 60% of ballots with machine-made or handmade folds were improperly counted by scanning machines rendered by the town Windham. The ballot papers were made correctly, but the problem was due to the machines "forcefully" folding the paper in the wrong position. (Read more)

2. Pennsylvania Sec. of State: Don’t Comply with GOP State Senator’s Election Audit Request - Brietbart
Pennsylvania’s Acting Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid told all 67 counties in the state on Thursday not to comply with a request for “information and materials needed to conduct a forensic audit of the 2020 General Election,” made Wednesday by State Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-Franklin), who chairs the Intergovernmental Operations Committee.
Mastriano’s initial request was sent to only three counties–Philadelphia (population 1.5 million), Tioga (population 40,000), and York (population 451,000). The population of the state is 12.8 million.
“Today, as Chair of the Intergovernmental Operations Committee, I issued letters to several counties requesting information and materials needed to conduct a forensic investigation of the 2020 General Election and the 2021 Primary,” Mastriano wrote in an op-ed published on Wednesday:
“We have asked these counties to respond by July 31st with a plan to comply. The counties represent different geographical regions of Pennsylvania and differing political makeups. Some are Republican while others are Democrat, which means that this will be a balanced investigation.” (Read more)

3. Trump releases statement on Cuba uprising, takes swipe at Obama - DML News
Former President Donald Trump released a statement on Monday, on the uprisings that took place in Cuba on Sunday.
Thousands of Cubans took to the streets in protest against the conditions in the communist country, chanting “Freedom!”
The Biden administration has been blasted after Julie Chung, Acting Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, claimed in a Twitter post that Cubans were exercising “their right to peaceful assembly” to protest COVID and “medicine shortages.”
Trump released the following statement:
Big demonstrations are breaking out in Cuba and Miami in protest of the Communist cuban Government (although, today there are zero protesters in Cuba – you know what that means!).
Don’t forget that Biden and the Democrats campaigned on reversing my very tough stance on Cuba.

4. White House announces new head of climate assessment after ousting Trump-era pick - The Hill
The White House has announced that Allison Crimmins will lead a major government report on climate change after the Trump-era pick for the job was removed earlier this year.
Crimmins, a climate scientist who spent almost a decade working at the Environmental Protection Agency, is now the director of the Fifth National Climate Assessment.
The assessment, which is expected to be released in 2023, is used to both inform government policy and provide the public with information about the changing climate.
A White House statement on Tuesday said that under Crimmins’s leadership, the assessment will aim to develop interactive tools to help people access the information, expand its focus areas to help people better prepare for climate change’s social and economic impacts and try to help improve adaptation planning.
Crimmins said in a statement that she’d also seek to highlight disparities in climate impacts. (Read more)

5. US's largest registered nurses union calls on CDC to bring back universal mask guidelines - The Hill
The largest union for registered nurses in the U.S. called on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to bring back recommendations for universal masking in public regardless of people’s vaccination status.
The National Nurses Union (NNU) in a Monday letter to CDC Director Rochelle Walensky requested that the agency reinstitute guidelines for all people to wear masks in public and in close proximity to those outside their household.
NNU Executive Director Bonnie Castillo pointed to a 16 percent uptick in U.S. COVID-19 cases from last week, according to CDC data, as well as rises in case counts in more than 40 states and hospitalizations in more than 25 states as reasons to return to previous, stricter guidelines. (Read more)

6. Chicago gang members outnumber cops 10 to 1 as crime spike reaches fever pitch - Fox News
Amid nationwide calls to defund police departments and a rise in crime in major cities, the number of Chicago cops that have retired this year has already surpassed all of the retirements in 2018 and are on track to be the highest number in the department’s history.
The figures come from the police pension board, as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times. It shows that between January and June, some 363 officers called it quits, and another 56 were expected to retire this month.
"We are on track, I believe to have one of the highest retirement numbers in the city’s history," Ald. Ray Lopez told the newspaper.
Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera, citing Superintendent David Brown and Mayor Lori Lightfoot’, wrote that the city’s roughly 117,000 gang members outnumber the city’s 13,000 police officers by roughly 10 to 1. (Read more)

7. Trump releases bombshell letter from former PA attorney with allegations against Bill Barr - DML News
Former President Donald Trump released a letter Monday evening, after announcing on Sunday that he had just received it, which makes a stunning revelation about former Attorney General Bill Barr.
In his speech at the CPAC event in Dallas on Sunday, Trump tore into Barr for failing to investigate claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. Trump said he had received a letter from US Attorney McSwain in Pennsylvania, revealing that Barr would not allow him to investigate allegations of voter fraud.
“He was not allowed to do his job,” Trump said. Instead, he said Barr ordered McSwain to pass voter fraud investigations to the Democrat AG Shapiro — to cover it up.

8. Arizona AG seeks injunction to reverse Biden administration’s ending of border wall construction - Fox News
: Arizona's attorney general on Monday announced that his office is seeking a preliminary injunction against the Biden administration’s efforts to end border wall construction and the Trump-era Remain-in-Mexico policy – claiming the moves violate environmental law.
Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s office first sued the Department of Homeland Security in April, alleging the administration has not complied with its obligations under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) when it ended border wall construction and the Remain-in-Mexico policy – which kept migrants in Mexico until their hearings were processed.
Biden signed an order ending border wall construction on his first day in office, having campaigned on the issue. His administration also ended the Remain-in-Mexico policy, officially called the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), amid claims that it was cruel and forced migrants into dangerous situations. Republicans have blamed the moves for fueling the crisis at the southern border. (Read more)

9. Trump suggests Biden is trying to stop 2020 audit: ‘They know it was not an honest election’ - Washington Examiner
Former President Donald Trump suggested President Joe Biden is traveling to Pennsylvania to stop the state’s 2020 election audit.
“Joe Biden is going to Pennsylvania today in a rush in order to stop the Forensic Audit that the Pennsylvania Republican Senate is in the process of doing,” Trump said in an email Tuesday, accusing his successor of trying to cover up “new levels” of corruption “that changed so rapidly the Big Trump Win on election night.”
“Philadelphia was a cesspool of corruption, which will soon be revealed by the audit. Why are they so concerned that a President, who never goes anywhere, would hop onto beautiful Air Force One and head to Philadelphia if it were an honest election?” the former president asked in the email. “Why not let the audit go forward and make everybody, on both sides, happy?” (Read more)

10. Sanders Appears To Blame US Embargo For Cuban Protests - Daily Caller
Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared to blame U.S. embargos on Cuba for the violent protests against communist oppression in a Monday tweet.
“All people have the right to protest and to live in a democratic society,” Sanders tweeted later Monday night. “I call on the Cuban government to respect opposition rights and refrain from violence. It’s also long past time to end the unilateral U.S. embargo on Cuba, which has only hurt, not helped, the Cuban people.”
Acting Assistant Sec. for U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Julie Chung tweeted in 2020 the U.S. “routinely authorizes the export of humanitarian goods, agricultural products, medicine, and medical equipment to support the Cuban people.”
Protests erupted in Cuba over the weekend, with thousands of people taking to the street demanding “freedom.” Protesters voiced their frustrations against the communist regime and their lack of access to basic goods. (Read more)

Communism In Cuba And America

America is fast heading down the slippery slope of communism. Call it what you will—communism, socialism, fascism, democratic socialism, liberal democrat, whatever—these are all different shades of tyranny, cousins of the same family. One need look no further than Cuba and compare what is happening in America to see how far America has journeyed toward communism. The very foundation of American liberty rests in the First Amendment guarantees of freedoms of speech and religion. What we see in Cuba is the targeting of religious leaders because they speak out against the communist regime. Why? Because communism requires replacing God with government. It’s atheist and ruthlessly so.
Peaceful protests against the Cuban communist regime have ended in the brutality against protesters, especially religious leaders. The Communist Party of Cuba is an explicitly atheist institution that inhibits all religious worship while deceptively tying communism to Catholicism by promoting late dictator Fidel Castro’s ties to nominally Catholic, but functionally Marxist liberation theologists. The Miami Herald reported on April 23, 2006 that Fidel Castro was responsible for 31,173 executions and prison deaths since he took power in 1959. Some 5,728 were killed by firing squads. He refused medical attention to those trying to escape the island by boat, resulting in another estimated 77,000 deaths. Nearly all the sources indicate an exact number of deaths caused by Castro’s regime is unattainable, with some estimating the death toll over 1.5 million. Read More

The Biden administration is salivating over the level of control Vaccine Passports will give them. Recently Biden's Health and Human Serivces secretary, Xavier Becerra, said, "It is absolutely the government's business" to know who has and has not received the COVID shots.
Then he doubled down on the federal government's plan to go door to door pushing vaccine participation. "Knocking on the door has never been against the law. You don't have to answer, but we [the government] hope you do."
More than 15 EU countries already have launched Vaccine Passports, which they usually call a "digital green certificate." That will quickly grow to 28 total nations pushing Vaccine Passports, according to MIT Technology Review.
Remember when masks were voluntary ... until they weren't? Our federal government and nations around the world are testing the tolerance of people to bow to tyranny.
I consistently hear from people internationally who are cheering for freedom in America hoping we can hold high the flame of freedom. Our nation is a beacon of freedom to the world, and today, you and I are the guardians of this light. Let it not go out on our watch!

More than 5,000 teachers have signed onto a pledge at the Zinn Education Project that states they vow to teach their students the concepts of Critical Race Theory (CRT), even where it is banned by law.
Making the claim that bans on teaching students America is a racist, sexist, oppressive country mean they will be taught “lies” instead, the Zinn Education Project’s pledge states:
Lawmakers in at least 26 states are attempting to pass legislation that would require teachers to lie to students about the role of racism, sexism, heterosexism, and oppression throughout U.S. history.
The project claims the laws “aim to prohibit teachers from teaching the truth about this country: It was founded on dispossession of Native Americans, slavery, structural racism and oppression; and structural racism is a defining characteristic of our society today.”
“[H]ow can one teach honestly about the nature of our society without examining how today’s racial inequality is a systemic legacy of this country’s history?” the Zinn Education Project asks, and continues:
From police violence, to the prison system, to the wealth gap, to maternal mortality rates, to housing, to education and beyond, the major institutions and systems of our country are deeply infected with anti-Blackness and its intersection with other forms of oppression. To not acknowledge this and help students understand the roots of U.S. racism is to deceive them — not educate them. This history helps students understand the roots of inequality today and gives them the tools to shape a just future. It is not just a history of oppression, but also a history of how people have organized and created coalitions across race, class, and gender.

Wildfires rage across parched western US
as smoke chokes the sky

Torrid weather conditions have fueled dozens of wildfires across the western United States, filling the sky with toxic smoke and leading to a number of evacuations and charred structures. Unfortunately, AccuWeather meteorologists say that Mother Nature will be of no assistance to fire crews in their battle.
The National Interagency Fire Center reports that there are 59 active large fires across the nation, with a vast majority of these raging in the West.
While Idaho, Arizona and Montana have the most active wildfires per state as of Tuesday morning, two of the largest fires in terms of acreage burned are charring land in northeastern California and southern Oregon -- the Beckwourth Complex and Bootleg Fire, respectively. Both of these blazes have prompted the evacuation of thousands of residents in nearby towns and destroyed dozens of homes and outbuildings, according to The Associated Press. Read More

Good News: U.S. Kids Growing Up With Both Mom and Dad at 30-Year High

The Institute for Family Studies (IFS) found a surprising outcome when it tabulated the latest U.S. Census Bureau data: the percentage of children who live in two-parent households has risen to a thirty-year high of 70.4%.
The finding was satisfying, yet surprising because for more than half a century all the “experts” on the Left have agreed that the nuclear family was antiquated and not beneficial to society:
The two-parent family of married mother and father bringing up their own biological children would soon be replaced by a menagerie of alternate family forms: cohabiting couples with children; single-parent families; blended families; same-sex couples raising children conceived and born in a variety of unconventional ways; and so on.
In other words, the Left’s so-called experts thought they had won the cultural war for the family by doing everything in their power to destroy the traditional family values of the two-parent household.
