1. Thousands protest in Tel Aviv in light of the economic crisis - Jerusalem Post

Rabin Square, designated by Tel-Aviv municipality as a "protest square," was filled with self employed workers demanding assistance from the state due to the coronavirus crisis on Saturday night.

The protestors, who work in a range of industries, demanded assistance from the state similar to that received by hired workers when claiming unemployment payments. Among the signs at protest were some that read: "Rights, Justice, livelihood." Others read "Neither left nor right - livelihood". Among the protestors were representatives of the interior designers association, the dance union, the association of air conditioning contractors and the swimming pool managers association.

Yoni Finegold, one of the leaders of the "fight to save the world of arts and culture" said: "Tonight, the muses cease their silence and arrive at Rabin Square alongside all the independent workers of Israel. We will continue to support the cry of the 150,000 workers within the entertainment industry who lose their jobs every day of the week, until an answer is found for them."

2. Next Thursday, Netanyahu Might Announce 61-Seat Rightwing Government or New Elections - Jewish Press

On Thursday, Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit submitted his response to the High Court of Justice regarding petitions seeking to prevent Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu from being assigned the role of cobbling together the next coalition government, as well as petitions demanding the cancellation of the coalition agreement between Likud and Blue&White.

On Sunday, the High Court will convene a panel of 11 judges to decide Netanyahu's fate. The mandate President Rivlin has given the Knesset to put together a new coalition government will expire on Thursday, following which the Knesset will disperse and new elections will be declared, or pass a vote of confidence in Netanyahu's new government.

Provided that the court embraces the AG's view that despite the significant difficulties that are raised by the issues in question, these do not justify judicial intervention, because it would mean that a majority MKs would be prevented from attempting to establish a new government in Israel under MK Netanyahu.

3. High Court Ends First Day of Netanyahu's Eligibility Hearings - Jewish Press

Israel's Supreme Court adjourned its hearing Sunday into the question of whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is legally permitted to form a new coalition government.

The Court said it would reconvene Monday in order to hear remaining petitions on various aspects of the three-year coalition agreement signed between Netanyahu and Blue & White faction leader Benny Gantz.

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has already said that he found no reason to ban Netanyahu from forming a government. His representative to the Court Sunday morning delivered that message on behalf of his office, telling the Court the prime minister, unlike cabinet ministers, is elected by the citizens in a reflection of a democratic society.

It is therefore the decision of the voters that must be respected, argued the Attorney General, regardless of how unpalatable the judges might find that to be.

4. Many schools to stay shut Sunday despite green light, citing government disarray - Times of Israel

Schools were set to partially reopen throughout the country Sunday, but numerous cities and local authorities have said they would delay a return to classrooms amid growing dissatisfaction over the government's handling of the matter.

Some nine hours before bells were to ring for grades one through three, as well as for 11th and 12th graders, to hold their first classes in nearly two months, the Education Ministry had yet to release official health maintenance guidelines for teachers and students to prevent coronavirus infections.

Among towns saying they would not open schools Sunday were Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Beersheba, Ramat Hasharon, Bnei Brak, parts of Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh, Rehovot, Safed, Karmiel, Kiryat Malachi and Kiryat Gat.

5. Report: Second wave of airstrikes attributed to Israel in Syria - Israel National News

Explosions were reported in northern Syria Friday morning, hours after airstrikes attributed to Israel rocked southwestern Syria, near the Israeli border. The latest explosions were again attributed to Israeli warplanes, which reportedly struck Hezbollah targets on the road between the city of Homs and Palmyra.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitored the explosions, the explosions were the result of Israeli missile strikes on weapons depots at a Hezbollah base, called the "Hassan bin Al-Haytham" camp - a former school now used by Hezbollah terrorists as a regional headquarters.

Late Thursday night, explosions were reported in southern Syria, in the Quneitra district near the Israeli frontier.

6. 'Spread of COVID-19 halted': 80% of Israel has had no new cases for days - TV - Times of Israel

The Israeli cabinet is set to meet Sunday to discuss further easing coronavirus restrictions, including opening malls and markets, amid figures suggesting the country has largely managed to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Eighty percent of Israeli towns and villages have reported no new COVID-19 cases for several days, with Tel Aviv among them, a TV report said Friday, and only four cities nationwide have had more than five new cases in the past few days: Jerusalem, Hura, Bnei Brak and Beit Shemesh. (Jerusalem and Hura have been under a partial lockdown, as have two neighborhoods in Beit Shemesh.) Several hospitals have not had a single new coronavirus patient in recent days, the Channel 12 TV report also said, and were repurposing virus wards back into general treatment centers, though they were ready to return them to COVID-19 centers if the need arose. Jerusalem's Shaare Zedek Medical Center has closed four out of its six coronavirus wards.

1. Lawmakers Probe NIH Over Chinese Espionage Targeting Research - Free Beacon

Two Republican members of Congress have launched an investigation into Chinese espionage operations targeting confidential medical research performed by the National Institutes of Health, according to communications obtained exclusively by the Washington Free Beacon.

Reps. Jim Banks (R., Ind.) and Mike Gallagher (R., Wis.) are petitioning NIH leaders to disclose how researchers with ties to adversarial regimes such as China continue to participate in confidential research projects and receive American grant money, according to a letter sent Thursday to NIH director Francis Collins. The lawmakers express concerns about a lack of oversight at the agency that they say might have allowed foreign spies to gain access to critical research.

Chinese infiltration of the American medical research community has been a concern for federal authorities, including the FBI, for years. China has been responsible for multiple large-scale hacks on the health care industry, including patient data and medical research into cancer and other diseases.

As the coronavirus has swept the globe and amid revelations of China's efforts to deceive the world about the virus, lawmakers are beginning to conduct audits on a range of federal agencies to ferret out Communist Party-backed spy operations. These investigations have become especially critical in light of revelations that NIH may have funded the Wuhan-based lab near where the coronavirus emerged.

Banks and Gallagher are asking NIH to provide Congress with information about individuals they may have identified as having undisclosed ties to foreign countries. This includes some 250 NIH researchers identified in recent years as having "suspicious foreign ties" that could trace back to a state-sponsored spy ring. (Read more)

2. New York City ER doc on frontline of COVID-19 battle explains why America should reopen immediately - The Blaze

One emergency room doctor who has been on the frontline of the coronavirus fight in New York City says it is time to reopen America.

Leaning on his experience treating COVID-19 patients, Dr. Daniel Murphy, chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, explained in an essay for the New York Post why he believes America should strongly consider reopening.

1. The curve is flattening
2. Non-COVID care has plummeted - which is bad
3. COVID fear is over-amplified
4. COVID is more prevalent than we know
Murphy is not the only doctor calling for an end to the lockdown.

Drs. Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi from Bakersfield, California, called for an end to the shutdown last week after significant testing showed them that reopening would be safe because the virus is less lethal than believed. The doctors also said quarantine is preventing the build up of immunity. (Read more)

3. President Trump's 'Operation Warp Speed' Aims to Rush Coronavirus Vaccine- Bloomberg

The Trump administration is organizing a Manhattan Project-style effort to drastically cut the time needed to develop a coronavirus vaccine, with a goal of making enough doses for most Americans by year's end. Called "Operation Warp Speed," the program will pull together private pharmaceutical companies, government agencies and the military to try to cut the development time for a vaccine by as much as eight months, according to two people familiar with the matter.

As part of the arrangement, taxpayers will shoulder much of the financial risk that vaccine candidates may fail, instead of drug companies.

The project's goal is to have 300 million doses of vaccine available by January, according to one administration official. There is no precedent for such rapid development of a vaccine.

President Donald Trump's top medical advisers, led by the infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci, have repeatedly said that a coronavirus vaccine won't be ready for 12 to 18 months at best. Until then, White House guidelines envision some economically damaging social-distancing practices maintained even as the U.S. begins to resume a more normal social and business life. (Read more)

4. President Trump: 'Spectacular' Rebound for Economy Coming in 2021 - Newsmax

Trying to dispel economic gloom, President Donald Trump said Thursday he's anticipating a major rebound in the coming months and a "spectacular" 2021.

While economists are warning of serious long-term damage as the country plunges into recession because of the coronavirus, Trump is predicting a strong fourth quarter thanks to pent-up demand.

"I think we can actually surpass where we were," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, while allowing he was relying on his gut. "I feel it," he said. "I think sometimes what I feel is better than what I think, unfortunately or fortunately."

Trump's comments came during a meeting with New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrats, who exchanged praise with Trump, despite past criticism. Trump said Murphy had "stepped up to the plate," while Murphy said Trump has delivered in his state's darkest hour. "We've been crushed and appreciate your consideration on the financial side as well," Murphy said, while telling Trump his state needs $20 billion to $30 billion just to keep firefighters, teachers, police officers and others on the job.(Read more)

5. President Trump sides with Michigan protesters, calls out Gov. Gretchen Whitmer - WND

President Donald Trump on Friday urged Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to work with and not against citizens calling for her to loosen the stranglehold on everyday life imposed by her executive orders. "The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people, but they are angry. They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal," Trump tweeted.

Trump's tweet followed a contentious Thursday in which Michigan residents who oppose Whitmer's edicts demonstrated outside of the Michigan State Capitol building, with some entering the building as well. Protesters waved signs and American flags, and in some cases carried legal firearms. Some demonstrators chanted "Let us in!" and "This is the people's house, you cannot lock us out," according to NBC News.

Republican state legislators also called for a relaxation of the stay-at-home orders.

Republican state Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, for instance, was among those calling for Whitmer to stop governing by executive order. "Now, the legislature must make a choice to either allow our governor to continue to govern by executive order or to trust our constituents to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families without the governor mandating a one-size-fits-all, stay-at-home order," he said Thursday on the floor of the Senate, according a transcript of his remarks posted on the Michigan Senate GOP website. 6. Democrat Governor Hit with Lawsuit over Stay-at-Home Order - Conservative Brief

Over the course of April, multiple governors across America have faced lawsuits over their Executive Orders that direct residents to remain home. Many parts of these orders have banned movements such as traveling between homes, visiting friends and families, gathering at religious institutions, and more.

One of the latest governors to face a lawsuit is Colorado's own Jared Polis. Earlier this month, Colorado resident Glenn Raliegh sued the state's governor, affirming that Polis' stay-at-home directive violates the First Amendment, Fifth Amendment, and 14th Amendment, noted CBS Denver.

Raliegh's legal suit against the Colorado governor does not mince words. As the plaintiff, the Colorado resident states that Polis' order is not justified by COVID-19. Also, Raliegh's lawsuit presents a New England Journal of Medicine article written by coronavirus task force Dr. Anthony Fauci as evidence. In this article, Fauci clearly states that projected COVID-19 death rates were overestimated; within the March 29, 2020 article, Fauci moreover claims that the deaths from coronavirus will mirror those of a "bad flu."

Additional pointers in Raliegh's suit against Gov. Polis note that Executive Orders prompted by coronavirus cannot and must not ban constitutional rights, such as voting rights and free speech rights. (Read more)

7. President Trump: I "Look Forward to" 2020 Election Against Biden - Conservative Brief

The new narrative coming out of the Biden camp is that the president has a vested interest in holding up the general election. Of course, the presumptive Democrat nominee has not a shred of evidence to support such ludicrous accusations.

On Monday, President Trump denied and pushed back against Biden's baseless claims while speaking to the press, reports Washington Examiner. When speaking to reporters yesterday, the president confirmed that he's actually looking forward to the upcoming general election. Trump dismissed Biden's assertions about wanting to interfere with the election as "made-up propaganda." It's important to note that the former vice president's untrue claims about Trump arrive as more evidence supporting Tara Reade's story continues to materialize.

Before the president concluded his remarks to the press, he stated that November 3 is a "good number" that he is eagerly anticipating. (Read more)

8. Bombshell Flynn files helping Durham build 'serious case' - WND

The files unsealed this week in the Michael Flynn case showing FBI officials discussed trying to get the former national security adviser to lie are bolstering the "serious case" the Justice Department is building against FBI and DOJ officials who carried out a counter-intelligence "Russia collusion" probe of the Trump campaign in 2016.

Sources who spoke to Fox News said charges could be justified against officials, and Attorney General Bill Barr is speaking regularly with U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is leading the investigation. "Durham has seen all of this already," a source told Fox News, adding the Flynn evidence "could be sufficient for some charges against agents. It's a crime to present under oath false or misleading information," the source told Fox News. "Not to mention obstruction of justice. . . . They're building a very serious case," another source told Fox News."

Among the evidence unsealed this week in the Flynn case is a handwritten note by the FBI's former head of counterintelligence, Bill Priestap, showing agents discussed whether they should try "to get [Flynn] to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired." Also, a memo shows disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok reopened the investigation into Flynn after it had been closed due to a lack of evidence. The closure was three weeks prior to the controversial "ambush" interview of Flynn at the White House that resulted in him being charged with perjury. (Read more)

9. California DA Warns That Multiple 'High-Risk Sex Offenders' Have Been Released Due To Coronavirus - The Western Journal

A Southern California district attorney's office is sounding the alarm after a number of "high-risk sex offenders" have been released early from jail amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The office of Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer issued a news release Tuesday warning citizens in the county to be vigilant after seven men who are registered sex offenders were released from custody early between April 7 and April 22.

The offenders, each of whom were charged with tampering with GPS devices, among other alleged crimes, were released early over fears about the spread of COVID-19 in jails, despite a law requiring sex offenders to spend a minimum of six months in jail for violating parole by disabling or altering tracking devices. "These kinds of high-risk sex offenders are the most dangerous kind of criminal and the most likely to re-offend," Spitzer said.

"They are doing everything they can to avoid detection by the parole officers assigned to monitor them so they can potentially commit additional sex offenses. These are not the kind of people who should be getting a break." (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that You will put a mark on all seven of these high-risk sex offenders that will make them visible wherever they go. We pray also that they be restrained by the hand of God from attacking anyone and these men realize this. God, protect the people from being a victim. Block any and all future sex acts by these men as God intervenes. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

10. Practical steps for reopening churches - One News Now

Washington, DC-based Family Research Council has devoted an entire section of its website to providing resources and advice on COVID-19 and the Church - including reopening of worship services. "As churches began opening up, we just want them to use the best practices for making sure that people are being wise as we begin coming back together to worship," said David Closson, FRC's director of Christian ethics and biblical worldview, during an interview Monday on the "Washington Watch with Tony Perkins" radio program.

FRC's guidelines contain some of the things already being read, seen, and heard in Public Service Announcements (PSAs), such as practice social distancing and "encourage members to wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds."

However, FRC urges churches to consider implementing protocols that include taking the temperature of people who attend services, requiring everyone to use hand sanitizer upon entering the building, and discouraging the operation of nurseries and childcare facilities in the initial phases.

"If [those facilities] are utilized, they should comply with CDC guidelines for childcare facilities," say the FRC guidelines. "[And] during the initial phases, the use of pew Bibles and hymnals should be discouraged. When they are used, they should be regularly sanitized according to best practices."

Another recommendation involves churches collecting tithes and offerings in a central collection box (such as a basket placed near the back of the sanctuary) instead of passing offering plates. Online giving is also encouraged.

Beware the “New Normal”

Beware the "New Normal"

President Trump is right that we're at war with an invisible enemy. But that enemy is most emphatically not a virus. He has been lured into fighting the wrong war.

It seems the President's advisors are insisting he focus on Covid-19-the red herring-rather than on the true invisible enemy: the America-hating Left and the elite globalist cabal that's been trying to take down America for years to implement their One World Government "utopia." Note also that this New World Order plan looks a lot like worldwide Communism, complete with high-tech Big Brother surveillance. It is antithetical to everything America stands for, and all the liberty Americans enjoy.

So let's take a step back and look at the big picture instead of focusing on the spiky ball with the red fuzzy wuzzies sticking out all around it-which is tantamount to watching cartoons while America is burning.

In a 1984 interview, Russian defector Yuri Bezmenov, who had worked for Soviet intelligence and propaganda agencies, revealed that Communism had neither died nor disappeared, and still fully intended to take over the West. Bezmenov went on to explain the psychological warfare methods used by the KGB for the gradual subversion of the political and economic systems of the United States.

He listed four distinct stages in the propaganda war to take over a country, making it a Communist nation, as follows:

Stage 1: "Demoralization" in which Judeo-Christian values and morality are systematically attacked, and people's morals corrupted in every way possible.

Stage 2: "Destabilization" in which the country's economy, military and foreign relations are undermined.

Remember Obama's apology tour where he bowed to radical Islamic leaders? Remember Obamacare? Remember how he dismantled our military? Or how he inflamed racial tensions in our nation? Mission accomplished.

Normalization: This is the New World Order with its One World Government

Stage 3: "Crisis" and this is where we are now. Bezmenov says it takes only up to 6 weeks to bring a country to crisis, after which one can radically alter its structure, economy and government.

Anyone think this isn't taking place today?

Stage 4: "Normalization." This is the end game. This is the goal. This is the New World Order with its One World Government. Call it Worldwide Communism, Technocracy, Global Feudalism, or what you will, it is slavery and misery-for all but the psychopathic elites who engineered it.

David Jeremiah reveals 'unprecedented' online revival happening amid COVID-19

Prominent pastor David Jeremiah has revealed that amid the COVID-19 pandemic, his ministry has reached an unprecedented number of people with the message of the Gospel, indicating an "online revival" may be taking place.

Due to government-issued social distancing orders enacted to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, many churches have been livestreaming their services online as large physical gatherings are temporarily halted.

Jeremiah, senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, California, and host of the radio program "Turning Point," told The Christian Post that ever since the shutdown began, viewership of his online services has dramatically skyrocketed.

"The church is alive and well and maybe more responsive now that I can ever remember except for the possible exception of 9/11," he said. "What we've learned from all of this is God doesn't need a building for there to be a church."

The founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries revealed that on Easter Sunday, a staggering 90,000 people tuned into his online worship service.

"I'm preaching right now to more people than I have ever preached to my life," he said, adding that after the service, he gave viewers the opportunity to receive Christ.

"I said, 'If you pray this prayer and invite Christ into your life, He will come to live within you,' and I actually led them in a prayer," the pastor recalled. "Then I said, 'If you prayed with me, there's a little place on the screen you can click on where we will send you more information to help you get started on your walk with Christ."

According to Jeremiah, over 600 people clicked on that button.

"I've been doing this for over 50 years; I'm all over media, and I've never had anything like that happen, ever," he emphasized. "Would I rather have the 12 or 15,000 people that we have on Easter sitting in the church with our choir and orchestra and the Easter lilies and everybody cheering and praising? Yeah, I'd rather have that. But this is a new and different thing that God is doing. It's unprecedented."

Similarly, the pastor revealed that a recent sermon he delivered in which he addressed whether COVID-19 is mentioned in biblical prophecy received over 1 million views on YouTube.

"We've never had anything on YouTube get that kind of traction,'" he said. "When everything in which we have trusted is taken away and we are left with ourselves, we have to ask the hard questions. 'If this is it, what happens to me now?' There's a renewed interest in the Gospel and a desire to know what the Bible has to say."

"Is this the beginning of a revival? This may not be a revival in the truest sense of the Great Awakening, but I believe we are seeing an online revival."

Asian Giant Hornets Invading Washington State, Pose Numerous Threats To U.S.

A new invasive species of giant hornets from Asia has been discovered in the Washington state area, and scientists are now rushing to locate the destructive insects to exterminate them before they spread throughout the United States and become impossible to eradicate.

The hornet, called the Asian Giant Hornet, has been on the radar of officials since late December when they were first discovered in Blaine, near the Canadian border.

"With queens that can grow to two inches long, Asian giant hornets can use mandibles shaped like spiked shark fins to wipe out a honeybee hive in a matter of hours, decapitating the bees and flying away with the thoraxes to feed their young," The New York Times reported. "For larger targets, the hornet's potent venom and stinger - long enough to puncture a beekeeping suit - make for an excruciating combination that victims have likened to hot metal driving into their skin."

The Asian Giant Hornet kills dozens of people every year in Japan and in China, and, according to Washington State entomologist Chris Looney, they are most notorious for their attacks on honey bees.

"Scientists have since embarked on a full-scale hunt for the hornets, worried that the invaders could decimate bee populations in the United States and establish such a deep presence that all hope for eradication could be lost," the Times added. "Jun-ichi Takahashi, a researcher at Kyoto Sangyo University in Japan, said the species had earned the 'murder hornet' nickname there because its aggressive group attacks can expose victims to doses of toxic venom equivalent to that of a venomous snake; a series of stings can be fatal."

One of the most disturbing parts of the Times' report on the Asian Giant Hornet was the revelation that at least two nests had been discovered across the border in Canada, and the nests were not related, "meaning there had probably been at least two different introductions in the region."
