Attorney General William P. Barr's Statement on Riots and Domestic Terrorism
Attorney General William P. Barr has issued the following statement:
"With the rioting that is occurring in many of our cities around the country, the voices of peaceful and legitimate protests have been hijacked by violent radical elements. Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate, violent, and extremist agenda.
It is time to stop watching the violence and to confront and stop it. The continued violence and destruction of property endangers the lives and livelihoods of others, and interferes with the rights of peaceful protestors, as well as all other citizens.
It also undercuts the urgent work that needs to be done - through constructive engagement between affected communities and law enforcement leaders - to address legitimate grievances. Preventing reconciliation and driving us apart is the goal of these radical groups, and we cannot let them succeed.
It is the responsibility of state and local leaders to ensure that adequate law enforcement resources, including the National Guard where necessary, are deployed on the streets to reestablish law and order. We saw this finally happen in Minneapolis last night, and it worked.
Federal law enforcement actions will be directed at apprehending and charging the violent radical agitators who have hijacked peaceful protest and are engaged in violations of federal law.
To identify criminal organizers and instigators, and to coordinate federal resources with our state and local partners, federal law enforcement is using our existing network of 56 regional FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF).
The violence instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly."

1. Iran Nearly Poisoned all of Israel's Drinking Water: Miraculously Failed - Breaking Israel News
An unprecedented Iranian cyberattack targeted six facilities in Israel's water infrastructure on April 24-25 nearly dumped lethal levels of chemicals into the Israeli water system. Fortunately, the attack impacted some systems but did not cause any disruption in the water supply or waste management. The computer system was breached but the cyberattack was blocked before any damage could be done.
t has now been revealed that the Iranian cyberattack on the water infrastructure in Israel was not merely an attack on data systems of the type Israel faces on a daily basis. In the attack, the water computer system was breached but the attack was blocked just in time before any damage could be done. The attack was reportedly routed through US servers.
"This was an attack that goes against all codes, even in war," said an Israeli official to Channel 13. "Even from the Iranians we didn't expect something like this. This is an attack that cannot be done."
2. Israel and US are Sending a Clear Warning to Iran - Bridges for Peace
Monday, 25 May 2020 | The Washington Post report [last week] of an Israeli and American cyberattack against Iran seems reliable and accurate. The US sources who anonymously provided the newspaper with information about the attack attributed to Israel and the United States in Iran did not even ask journalists to hide potentially identifying information. The officials also backed up the information with satellite photos they showed to reporters (some of the most experienced at the Washington Post), including a line of cargo trucks stretching for miles on roads leading to the stricken Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas [Iran]. 3. Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia and Qatar form troubling new alliance- Jerusalem Post
The name of fugitive Indian Salafi Islamist preacher Zakir Naik is little known in the West. Naik, founder of the Mumbai-based Islamic Research Foundation, is currently being pursued by the Indian authorities on charges of money laundering and hate speech. Naik is a popular Islamist preacher in his native country. He has been referred to as "perhaps the most influential Salafi ideologue in India" and "the world's leading Salafi evangelist." His views on subjects such as homosexuality, apostasy and the Jews are as might be expected (the first two deserve the death penalty, the third "control America").
The Indian authorities note evidence that two of the seven terrorists who carried out a deadly attack at a café in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on July 1, 2016, claimed inspiration from his teachings.
. . . THE DISPUTE around Naik casts light on the currently burgeoning relations between three significant Muslim countries - Turkey, Pakistan and Malaysia. This emergent alliance is a reflection of a shift in power in the Islamic world away from its traditional Arab center.
Ankara, Islamabad and Kuala Lumpur, with Qatar as an additional partner, today constitute an emergent power nexus, built around a common orientation toward a conservative, Sunni political Islam. This nexus is united as much by common enmities as by common affections. Its enemies, are India, Israel and (at the rhetorical level) the Christian West.
Its rivals within the diplomacy of the Islamic world, meanwhile, are Saudi Arabia, which has traditionally dominated the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the main pan-Islamic diplomatic body, and the UAE. (Read more)

1. SpaceX successfully launches two NASA astronauts into orbit for historic flight - Live Science
Amid an uncertain weather forecast, SpaceX successfully launched two NASA astronauts toward the International Space Station today (May 30).
Astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley became the first U.S. astronauts to head into orbit from American soil since 2011, when the Space Shuttle program ended and NASA astronauts began relying on rides in Russian Soyuz capsules to reach orbit. The current mission, called Demo-2, is the last step in certifying SpaceX's Crew Dragon vehicle and Falcon 9 rocket for regular use by NASA.
Behnken and Hurley will rendezvous with the International Space Station (ISS) in approximately 24 hours, when the Crew Dragon will autonomously dock. (A manual option is available, should something go wrong.) The two astronauts will then spend an undecided amount of time aboard the ISS, conducting further tests, before returning to Earth. 2. Declassified transcripts of Michael Flynn calls with Russian ambassador released - Washington Examiner
The conversations between retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that have been at the center of a years-long political firestorm were declassified by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and sent to Congress on Friday.
The transcripts, which have some redactions, were shared with the media, including the Washington Examiner, shortly thereafter. They include discussions from a Dec. 23, 2016 call between Flynn, Kislyak, and Russian diplomat Aleksandr Pchelyakov; a Dec. 29, 2016 call between Flynn and Kislyak; a Dec. 31, 2016 call between Flynn and Kislyak; a Jan. 12, 2017 call between Flynn and Kislyak; and a Jan. 19, 2017 voicemail from Kislyak to Flynn.
The new records also include what appear to be summaries of a Jan. 5, 2016 call between a redacted participant, Flynn, and Kislyak; an entirely redacted Dec. 22, 2016 conversation; the Dec. 23, 2016 call between Flynn, Kislyak, and Pchelyakov; a voicemail for Flynn from Kislyak's chief of staff Dmitry Chernyshev Andreyevitch; and the Dec. 29, 2016 call between Flynn and Kislyak. 3. 'China has total control': Trump says US will terminate relationship with World Health Organization - Washington Examiner
The relationship between the United States and the World Health Organization has ended. President Trump said in a Rose Garden address on Friday that he would terminate the relationship between the U.S. and the WHO immediately, accusing the organization of taking directives from China.
"China has total control over the World Health Organization despite paying only $40 million per year compared to what the United States has been paying, which is approximately $450 million a year," Trump said. "We have detailed the reforms that it must make and engaged with them directly, but they have refused to act. Because they have failed to make the requested and greatly needed reforms, we will be today terminating our relationship with the World Health Organization and redirecting those funds to other worldwide and deserving urgent, global public health needs," Trump said.
Trump, who has been critical of the WHO's response to the coronavirus, lashed out at Chinese Communist Party officials over a lack of transparency surrounding the coronavirus, which has claimed the lives of more than 100,000 people in the U.S.
"Chinese officials ignored their reporting obligations to the World Health Organization and pressured the World Health Organization to mislead the world when the virus was first discovered by Chinese authorities," he said. "Countless lives have been taken and profound economic hardship has been inflicted all around the globe. They strongly recommended against me doing the early ban from China, but I did it anyway, and it was proven to be 100% correct."
Trump, who refused to take questions from reporters after the briefing, accused Chinese officials of covering up information about the late 2019 outbreak of the coronavirus in Wuhan. "The world is now suffering as a result of the malfeasance of the Chinese government," Trump said. "China's cover-up of the Wuhan virus allowed the disease to spread all over the world, instigating a global pandemic that has cost more than 100,000 American lives and over a million lives worldwide." 4. China Working to Assume Control of U.N. Agencies - Free Beacon
China is working to assume control of multiple key United Nations agencies in order to subvert U.S. influence and advance its anti-democratic agenda, current and former senior Trump administration officials told the Washington Free Beacon.
China currently holds 4 of the top 15 leading positions within the organization, including a seat on the powerful Security Council. The country's sway was on full display this year when it successfully pressured the World Health Organization (WHO) to hide information about the coronavirus pandemic.
The Communist Party is also using its influence at the U.N. to thwart investigations into its human rights record and other state-backed atrocities, including its coronavirus cover-up. (Read more)

5. Iran warns US: Wherever you are, we are right next to you - Israel National News
Iran's Revolutionary Guards on Thursday warned the United States against its naval presence in the Gulf as they received 110 new combat vessels, AFP reported. The vessels included Ashura-class speedboats, Zolfaghar coastal patrol boats and Taregh submarines.
"We announce today that wherever the Americans are, we are right next to them, and they will feel our presence even more in the near future," the Guards' navy chief Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri was quoted as having said during a ceremony in southern Iran. "Advancing while remaining defensive is the nature of our work," added Guards commander Major General Hossein Salami. "But this does not equal passivity against the enemy," he stressed, noting that Iran "will not bow down to any foe."
According to Salami, the Guards' navy had been instructed to expand Iran's naval power until it can adequately defend "territorial independence and integrity, protect naval interests and pursue and destroy the enemy".
The comments come amid continued tensions between the US and Iran. Last week, the US Navy issued a warning to mariners in the Gulf to stay 100 meters away from US warships or risk being "interpreted as a threat and subject to lawful defensive measures". While no mention was made of Iran in the notice, it follows US President Donald Trump's threat last month to fire on any Iranian ships that harass Navy vessels. (Read more)

6. Naftali Bennett: Trump peace plan map needs to change - Jerusalem Post
As the international community is pressing Israel to back away from the Trump peace plan and its annexation intentions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a battle against right-wing politicians who want him to apply sovereignty to West Bank settlements while rejecting the Trump plan. They are upset in particular by the Trump map, which they argue would lead to de facto building freezes and the destruction of at least 15 settlements.
Yamina Party head Naftali Bennett has long opposed the Trump plan because it also allows for the creations of a demilitarized Palestinian state. Bennett has long argued Israel must apply sovereignty to all of Area C, while the Trump plan allows Israel to annex only half of Area C, effectively 30% of the West Bank.
"The map is not good for Israel. It must be corrected. For example the map would apply Israeli law to over a quarter of a million Palestinians," Bennett told reporters on Wednesday. Right now, there are more than 250,000 Palestinians who would receive citizenship according to the Trump plan, he said. "This is a disaster for Israel. No one will accept this. If the map is good we will support it," Bennett said. (Read more)

7. Trump signs 'Never Again' Holocaust education bill into law - Times of Israel
WASHINGTON - US President Donald Trump signed into law on Thursday legislation to allocate $10 million in federal funding over the next five years to further Holocaust education.
Authored by New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, the Never Again Education Act directs millions of dollars toward expanding the US Holocaust Memorial Museum's education program, supporting a website with curriculum materials for teachers and hosting workshops in Holocaust education and awareness throughout the country.
The bill garnered bipartisan support in the House of Representatives, with 302 co-sponsors, and passed by a vote of 393-5 on Holocaust Remembrance Day in January. The Senate then unanimously passed the legislation on May 13, sending it to the president's desk. (Read more)

8. Supreme Court rejects challenge to limits on church services; Roberts sides with liberals - Fox News
A divided Supreme Court on Friday rejected an emergency appeal by a California church that challenged state limits on attendance at worship services that have been imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Over the dissent of the four more conservative justices, Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court's four liberals in turning away a request from the South Bay United Pentecostal Church in Chula Vista, California, in the San Diego area.
The church argued that limits on how many people can attend their services violate constitutional guarantees of religious freedom and had been seeking an order in time for services on Sunday. The church said it has crowds of 200 to 300 people for its services.
Roberts wrote in brief opinion that the restriction allowing churches to reopen at 25% of their capacity, with no more than 100 worshipers at a time, "appear consistent" with the First Amendment. Roberts said similar or more severe limits apply to concerts, movies and sporting events "where large groups of people gather in close proximity for extended periods of time."
Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote in dissent that the restriction "discriminates against places of worship and in favor of comparable secular businesses. Such discrimination violates the First Amendment." Kavanaugh pointed to supermarkets, restaurants, hair salons, cannabis dispensaries and other businesses that are not subject to the same restrictions. (Read more)

9. 'Complete Victory': ACLU Drops Suit against Pro-Life 'Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn' - Christian Headlines
Pro-life groups within Texas are claiming victory after the ACLU and two pro-choice groups dropped their lawsuits against seven towns that had declared themselves to be "sanctuary cities for the unborn." The ACLU of Texas said this week it was dropping the suit after the seven towns removed language within their ordinances that called pro-choice groups and abortion clinics "criminal organizations." The ACLU represented the Lilith Fund and the Texas Equal Access Fund in the suit, which was filed in February.
Language within the ordinances calling the towns "sanctuary cities for the unborn" will remain. Also unchanged is language that calls abortion "murder" and "the purposeful and intentional ending of a human life" and that says "babies are the most innocent among us and deserve equal protection under the law as any other member of our American posterity as defined by the United States Constitution," as the Naples, Texas ordinance says.
"The City Council has found it necessary to outlaw human abortion within the city limits," the Naples ordinance says. In addition to Naples, the other Texas towns are Waskom, Joaquin, Tenaha, Rusk, Gary and Wells.
"This is a total and complete victory for the cities that have enacted these ordinances," said Mark Lee Dickson of Right to Life of East Texas, which promoted the ordinances. "This lawsuit was nothing but a publicity stunt to deter other cities from creating sanctuaries for the unborn." Dickson believes the dropping of the suit will encourage other towns and cities to pass similar ordinances. (Read more)

10. Schools That Let Boys Compete in Girls' Sports Violate Title IX, Trump Admin. Rules - Christian Headlines
A Connecticut statewide policy that allows biological boys who identify as girls to compete in girls-only sports violates Title IX, the Trump Department of Education has ruled. At issue is a policy by the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) - the state's governing body for interscholastic athletic - permitting transgender girls to compete in girls-only events without taking testosterone-suppressing hormones as required on the NCAA and international levels. As a result, two biological boys have won more than a dozen Connecticut girls' state titles.
The Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR), in a May 15 letter that became public Thursday, ruled that the policy violates Title IX, a 1972 law prohibiting discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities. OCR was responding to a complaint filed by three female track athletes. Female athletes are treated differently under the Connecticut policy than are male athletes, OCR ruled.
"Female student-athletes were denied the opportunity to compete in events that were exclusively female, whereas male student-athletes were able to compete in events that were exclusively male," the letter says. By enforcing the policy and allowing biological males to win female-only events, CIAC "denied female student-athletes athletic benefits and opportunities, including advancing to the finals in events, higher level competitions, awards, medals, recognition, and the possibility of greater visibility to colleges and other benefits," the letter says. "Accordingly, OCR determined that the CIAC denied athletic benefits and opportunities to female student-athletes ... in violation of the regulation implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX)," the letter says.

1. Cities reeling from violent riots tighten restrictions, implement curfews as National Guard deployed - Fox News
More than a dozen U.S. citizens -- still reeling from a grim night of violent riots -- have implemented nighttime curfews in an effort to mitigate the worst of what they have seen in the days following the death of George Floyd, a black Minneapolis man who died in police custody after a white cop kneeled on his neck for more than 8 minutes. placeholder
More than 1,000 people were arrested Saturday night alone after peaceful demonstrations turned into violent -- and in some cases deadly -- riots. Meanwhile, some 5,000 National Guard members have been deployed in at least 15 states in a desperate bid to stem the mayhem, chaos and wreckage.
Crowds across the nation have seized on the racially charged incident to demand justice, but the protests have turned increasingly violent, culminating in a weekend of carnage.
Earlier Saturday, President Trump condemned the riots that had taken place in previous days, vowing to stop what he labeled "mob violence."
"The memory of Floyd is being dishonored by rioters, looters, and anarchists," Trump said, blaming "Antifa and other radical left-wing groups for terrorizing the innocent, destroying jobs, hurting businesses and burning down buildings." (Read more)
2. George Floyd death: The cities where people are protesting and rioting - Fox News
The death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody after a white officer kneeled on his neck for more than 8 minutes, has sparked widespread violent protests in dozens of American cities.
Floyd, 46, was pronounced dead Monday night after he was pinned to the ground under the knee of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who is white. In a video recorded by a bystander, Floyd is heard saying he cannot breathe.
Four police officers - Chauvin, Tomas Lane, Tou Thao, and J. Alexander Kueng - were fired from the force Tuesday. Chauvin was arrested Friday and charged with murder in the third degree.

President Trump announced Sunday that the U.S. government will designate the far-left group Antifa as a terrorist organization. This comes as Trump has blamed Antifa for riots taking place across the country in response to the death of George Floyd . . .
The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization," Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon.
It remains unclear exactly who was behind the escalation what began as peaceful protests against police, with accusations lobbed against both far-left extremists and white nationalists. The president has been forceful in pointing the finger at the former.
"It's ANTIFA and the Radical Left. Don't lay the blame on others!" Trump tweeted Saturday. (Read more)
5. Lawyer for George Floyd's family wants charges against ex-cop upgraded to first-degree murder - Fox News
The lawyer representing the family of the unarmed black man who died last Monday while in Minneapolis police custody said he wants the charges against one off the arresting officers upgraded from third to first-degree murder.
Speaking during an interview on CBS' "Face The Nation," attorney Benjamin Crump said that former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin must have known George Floyd before the incident that resulted in the latter's death.
"[Floyd's] family has been notified by the owner of a club that Derek Chauvin was an off-duty police officer while George Floyd was a security guard. And so they had to overlap," Crump said. "And so that is going to be an interesting aspect to this case and hopefully upgrading these charges to first-degree murder because we believe he knew who George Floyd was." (Read more)

This week, the nation witnessed the violent death of George Floyd. An arrest has been made. Details are currently under investigation and hopefully will be made known soon. The loss of any life in this type of manner is tragic. We mourn the life of George Floyd and pray justice will be served. We've seen the reaction of people in cities across the nation. Many want justice. Some want violence and to personally gain by stealing, looting, or extending their agenda. We need to pray for truth, justice, and peace now by:
- Praying for George Floyd's family and friends as they mourn his tragic loss.
- Praying for the Minneapolis police department as a whole and Officer Derek Chauvin, who has now been charged with murder.
- Praying for the Church in Minneapolis to rise up and for God to bring peace to the city.
- Praying for mayors and police forces in major cities across the nation to be able to enforce the law in a proper and effective way.
- Pray for police forces around the nation. Authorities that do not abuse power are critical for the rule of law. - - Pray for calm law enforcement, for clear minds in heated moments, and for protection.
- Praying for the truth to be revealed as the Department of Justice assists in the investigation. Pray for justice.

Amanda makes landfall, threatens major flooding in Central America
A wall of giant wind turbines at Florida International University simulates hurricane-force winds in order to test hurricane-resistant construction techniques.
After making landfall as a tropical storm on Sunday, Amanda turned deadly, and will continue to threaten the region with widespread flooding and dangerous mudslides as it nears the Atlantic Basin into midweek.
Before making landfall Sunday morning, the system strengthened into a tropical storm and was given the name Amanda, making it the first-named storm of the 2020 East Pacific hurricane season.
A new round of torrential rainfall arrived in El Salvador and southern Guatemala on Sunday as Amanda moved inland. Officials in El Salvador issued an "Red Alert" and extended the state of emergency due to this surge of heavier rain.
As of late Sunday morning, there are reports of at least seven deaths in El Salvador due to impacts from the then Tropical Storm Amanda.
By Sunday afternoon, Amanda was downgraded to a tropical depression.
